Eugene Tssui (/tsweɪ/ born Eugene Tsui, September 14, 1954) is an American architect noted for his use of ecological principles and "biologic" design, a term coined by Tssui himself in the 2010 issue of World Architecture Review. He has proposed a number of projects such as a bridge across the Strait of Gibraltar to connect the continents of Africa and Europe as well as a 2-mile-high tower capable of housing 1 million residents. He has been called the "Seminal Architect of the 21st Century." In May of 2013, Tssui was also listed as one of one hundred "Guardian Angels of the Planet" by Project Coyote.
Tssui's clothing designs include prototypes with sequin-like solar panels which would allow the wearer to charge and power their personal electronic devices. The designs have appeared in magazines such as Mondo 2000 and Hyphen. The 2008 Winter cover of the magazine Hors Ligne also features one of his garments.
His work is described as "moving architectural clothing" and reflects the biologic principles found in his architecture, in that his designs are meant to adapt to the wearer's physical activity as well as protect from the elements. Some of the stylistic influence of his architecture also bleeds over into his fashions, with ridges, spines, and wings all featuring in his designs.

Have you ever seen two mile cities? They are massive superstructures that expand urban centers upwards rather than outwards. You cover the thing with plants and huge platforms and you've got a giant tree city
Are you talking about Eugene Tsui’s ultima tower?
I get dubious of any megastructure project like this, I generally think low-tech, well-understood solutions are the way to go, even if they’re much less glamorous. Plus building something like this generates an insane amount of emissions, probably way more than it would ever re-absorb in anyone’s lifetime. If you’re talking about something different though, let me know. I just didn’t have many hits when I searched for “two mile cities”
That said, I do think ridiculous solarpunk skyscrapers are still very cool, even if they are very impractical.

Trailer for "Insert Coin," a new documentary about the creators of the biggest videogames of the 1990s
youtube
"Insert Coin" is a new documentary about Midway, the Chicago-based videogame developer that transformed the industry with Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and other coin-op classics. Director Joshua Tsui funded the film via this Kickstarter and will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival later this month. From the film description:
Eugene Jarvis, the creator of 80s classic videogames such as Defender and Robotron, returns to the industry in the 90s. In the process, he assembles a team that pioneers the concept of bringing live-action into videogames, kickstarting a new era in the arcades.
The technology mushrooms into massive hits such as Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam and soon the team begins to conquer the world. What began as a small tight-knit group begins to deal with success and eventually the rise of home consumer technology.

Art Deco and Organic Design
Art Deco
Art Deco was a modern design style during the twentieth century that came to worldwide prominence in the inter-war years. (Art Deco 1910-1939, C. Benton, T. Benton and G. Wood, 2003. Page 13). The Art Deco style impacted almost all forms of visual arts, including fine art, film, interior design and architecture. The Art Deco movement was globally dominant until the start of the Second World War - which called for functional architecture and resulted in the fall of the Art Deco era. Tamara de Lempicka was one of the most influential artists for the Art Deco movement. She painted portraits of many prominent figures, drawing inspiration from the popular painting movements at the time, like cubism. (Widewalls, Dačic, 2015.)
History.
We are familiar with style Art Deco since 1920's, to be more specific, it marked a defining moment in its evolution in Paris Exhibition in 1925. Lets not forget that The 1920's were an age of dramatic social and political change. For the first time, more people lived in cities than on farms. People from coast to coast bought the same goods thanks to nationwide advertising and the spread of chain stores. These events helpt this style to spread all over western Europe and US. The intention of Art Deco was to create a sleek and anti traditional elegance that symbolise wealth and sophistication. However after Jazz was born and the Chrysler building was built human civilisation entered it's darkest, bloodiest chapter 1930's. 1930's most people know as the time when US was in “The Great Depression” but it was also a time of a great architect Frank Lloyd Wright who made popular Organic Design that ensures harmony between manmade and nature, the main inspiration to this style is nature.
Comparison Art Deco and Organic Design are two different design eras which have very contrasting purposes. Art Deco was intended for decorative aims it had a modern concept and characterized glamour and luxury whilst also highlighting the growth of technology within its designs. Art Deco used bright, bold, block colors and incorporated geometric and angular shapes; as well incorporating stylized imagery and using simplistic, streamlined form, however this movement of design died out in the 1940s. On the other hand whilst Organic Design did collapse in 1945 due to natural material shortage after WW2, it became apparent again in the 1960s and is still relevant today. Organic Design has a sustainable and ecological purpose; the design takes inspiration from nature and works with naturally occurring structures, using natural materials and seeing form and function as one. It opposes from Art Deco by using smooth and flowing forms and the main purpose resonates with being sustainable whilst Art Deco was solely meant for an aesthetic purpose. The question remains how did organic design outlive the famous renowned Art Deco movement, after it inspired so many iconic structures like the Chrysler building (designed by architect William Van Alen). However as timeless as this building is we should remember that the Art Deco movement was in fact a reaction to the historical, political and socioeconomic circumstances of the time, for example, the end of World War One, increase in industry and a newfound faith in social progress. This strong association of the Art Deco art movement with this period of time may play a key role in the explanation of its demise. Being recognisable as part of an era in history may make this movement less adaptable than say something like organic design and therefore more short lived. Architect Eugene Tsui believes society is returning to nature and voluntary simplicity with the personal search for meaning and fulfilment. There is a need to infuse our institutions with environmental sensitivity and switch styled confirming for something coherent organic and durable. The broad term of organic design allows for much wider and subjective interpretation in comparison to art deco and artists will driver be able to draw upon natural form for inspiration as it evolves and grows throughout history, allowing organic design to be more flexible and adaptable throughout time.

Heyo! This may be a difficult question for you but if you could associate 3-5 songs regarding Rapunzel's and Eugene's relationship what would it be? Mine: Locked Away (R.City) Just a Dream( Cover by Sam Tsui and Christina Grimmie) One Thing(One Direction) Rhythm of Love(Plan White T's) Can I have this dance(HSM cast: Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens). Thanks for responding.
It’s actually not difficult at all! I actually have an entire Spotify playlist of songs that I associate with them (some more strongly than others)! So, of those songs, here are my top five:
One Drop - Plumb
Shine - Mr. Big
She Is the Sunlight - Trading Yesterday
Unexpected Song - Eric Degray
She - We the Kings
