Morgens in der frühe....ein alter Shanty. (Neulich erst habe ich im deutschen Radio in Namibia eine schöne Sendung über die Arbeitslieder der Segler gehört.) Morgens in der frühe wurde ich wach und entschied mich, nach Norden zu fahren. Ich will die Himba sehen, bevor sie völlig im Mainstreamtourismus vergehen. Die Strecke dahin führt über kleine Umwege noch einmal in den Etoshapark, wo ich vor zwei Wochen schon Stunden damit verbrachte, demütig riesigen Tieren beim trinken zuzusehen. Während der Fahrt laufen im Radio Bands wie The Cult, Element of Crime, Bob Seger, aber auch Hannes Wader mit den Moorsoldaten. Wenn ich wieder in Deutschland sein werde, wird NBC Funkhaus Namibia wahrscheinlich mein Radiosender für alle Fälle.... Lustig zu hören, wie die Leute hier bei nachts 6°C und tagsüber 24°C so tun, als wären sie von einer schrecklichen Kältewelle getroffen worden. Die Sonne scheint täglich, Wolken oder Regen sind nicht existent. Deren Sorgen möcht ich haben....... Im Etosha Park lag eine enorme Staubwolke roten Wüstensandes in der Luft und färbte die Sonne blutig rot. Eindrucksvoll. Morgen geht es weiter zu den schönen Menschen des Himbastammes.
