Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unlike most of your friends, you liked getting up early. Not just waking up early only to go back to sleep, but doing things in the early hours of the morning.
You liked the cool chill of the morning air and the fresh crisp dewy smell of the wet grass. You liked the walk you took to the skatepark when the sky was still a dusky blue and the sun hadn’t even fully awoken yet.
But, most of all, you liked the welcome solitude of the skatepark in the early morning. You had been skeptical of skateboarding as a hobby when you were little. It looked boring and dangerous and even lame to you 12 year old brain.
Your older brother had loved it, though, and in an attempt to spend more time with him, you picked it up too. Turns out, skateboarding wasn’t as lame as you thought. The adrenaline rush you felt as the breeze blew through your hair and you felt like you were going a mile a minute was addicting. The satisfaction of cleanly landing a hard trick was like no other.
What had first been an attempt at finding an activity to do with your brother quickly turned into 15 long years of skating. And now, you still kept it as a side hobby to relax before a long work day.
It was one of those mornings where you felt like nothing could possibly go wrong. It was the perfect temperature— chilly, but comfortable with a hoodie on— and the light rain the day before left the outside world fresh and clean.
You got up at 5 AM and were already on your way to the skatepark at 5:20. You wore jeans and a simple hoodie to keep warm and comfortable, hair tied up so it wouldn’t get in your face. You had been working on a trick called the laser flip for a couple weeks now. It was technically challenging, and it had been nothing but failures so far. But you still worked on it, determined to master it eventually.
Nothing could possibly interrupt the idyllic morning. You were already planning it in your head. You would arrive at the skatepark and skate for an hour and blissful seclusion, then stop by a coffee shop on your way to work. You felt as if you could even handle your boss’s yelling today and not even flinch. You felt amazing.
Well, until the first part of your plan fell apart.
As the skatepark came into your view, it was immediately clear that there was already someone skating there. Really? At 5:30 in the morning!?
You sighed heavily at the sight and debated turning back around to go home. You hated conversing with other skaters or even sharing the space. You didn’t like to have to be cautious of other people using the same space. More often than not, it ended in ruined tricks and frustration.
Not to mention that most of the skaters you had encountered in your town were smoking and high all the time. It was just better if you didn’t mix with that crowd.
But you really wanted to be able to skate this morning, so you trudged along the path, setting your skateboard down when you were almost to the park and skating the rest of the way.
At first, you tried to ignore the other person there. You didn’t pay any attention to him or his rather impressive ollie 540, which he landed cleaner than you had ever seen. Okay, maybe you paid a little attention to him. You shook your head and focused back on your own skating, though. Just because he’s a good skater doesn’t mean that you wanted to converse with him.
You attempted your laser flip again, positioning your feet in the right place and executing a frontside shuvit and a heel-flip to lift yourself up in the air. You almost landed it, really. It was so close to being a perfect land.
But instead, that stupid guy from across the skatepark had made eye contact with you at just that moment, flashing a pretty smile at you, causing you to lose focus and trip over the board on your way down.
The guy halted abruptly when he saw you fall and hurried over. He knelt down to make sure you weren’t hurt anywhere and held out his hand for you to grab to help stand up.
You had always been petty and in the moment you felt like it was entirely his fault that you hadn’t landed the laser flip. You brushed his hand away and stood up on your own, brushing off your hands and jeans.
“That’s a shame. Your technique was pretty solid. You could’ve landed it smoothly.” He said, a small smile playing on his lips.
Up close, you could see every detail of his face. His high cheekbones and pointy chin. His smooth skin and piercing dark eyes. He must’ve caught you taking a glance at him because his lips curved upwards into a sweet smile. You could see how perfectly his smile lines appeared on his face and how his lips didn’t quite meet all the way when spread into the heart-fluttering gesture.
“I would’ve landed it if I hadn’t gotten distracted.” You muttered, feeling your ego bruise at embarrassing yourself in front of him, clearly the better skater of the two of you.
He let out an amusement scoff, and got back on his board, calling out a clear, “Try it again!” as he skated a bit away.
You sighed when you realized that he had stopped once he got to the other end and was now sitting on his board, staring intently at you, waiting for you to make the move.
Your plan had originally been to go home after that embarrassing fall, but now that the handsome guy was waiting for you to try to laser flip again, you felt like you had no choice. You took a breath and got back on your board.
You felt nervous that someone was watching you. You had barely even taken skating lessons in your years of skating, learning mostly with your brother, through trial and error, and with YouTube. It certainly didn’t help that the person watching you was someone you found extremely attractive.
But as you bent your knees, and caught his smile from the corner of your eyes, you felt a surge of confidence. You jumped, feeling the adrenaline rush in the pit of your stomach, your skateboard flipped in the air, and you landed cleanly.
You beamed and your eyes immediately went in search of him. He was smiling too, his pearly teeth out on display and his eyes shining with an unmistakable message. He was proud of you. You skated over to him and sat down next to him.
“I’ve been struggling with that for weeks. I didn’t expect to suddenly get it today.” You said with a laugh.
“I guess I’m a good luck charm, then.” He said smoothly, “I’m Changyun by the way.”
“Y/n.”
“Y/n… Can I treat you to coffee?”
//
“When you tripped, I couldn’t help myself! You almost fell on your face!” You giggled.
Changyun looked offended, “So you would’ve just stood there and laughed at me even if I fell flat on my face?”
“It’s only ‘cause I adore you.” You said quickly, attempting to save yourself from the trap you had put yourself in. You cupped his cheeks with your hands, staring into his eyes until the hurt look in his eyes faded into love.
“Next time you fall off your board, I have the right to laugh, though.” He said quickly. Clearly there was still an ounce of hurt left in him, but you knew how to get rid of it.
“Okay, baby. Sure. Laugh all you want.” You moved one of your hands from his cheek to his shoulder, leaning in until your lips met his soft ones.
Changyun loved to kiss you and he easily melted into it, his lips moving against yours gently. His hands slipped to your waist, pulling you closer to him, and once you broke the kiss to catch your breath, he continued a trail of kissing by your lips and up your cheek until you were giggling from the ticklish feeling and pulling away. You rested your forehead against his, your heart racing in sync with his.
“I think your skateboard ran away from you.” You whispered, eyes glancing behind your boyfriend to where his black skateboard was, indeed, slowly rolling away.
Changyun smiled, on the verge of a laugh, “It always ruins the moment.” He gave one more short kiss to your lips before breaking the close embrace and jogging off to stop his board.

step together
e-tion x reader
word count: ~ 700 warnings: none a/n: wow hi i haven’t really written anything in ages but felt like trying to put together something light and this ended up as the result.
Tumblr media
It’s too breezy still for the short sleeves you have on, but Changyoon takes it as a sign of optimism on your part. The winter had been too long; too cold and dry, the trees bare and hills beige with a lack of snow. It feels like you had hidden away with the sun. (Maybe Changyoon found that thought easier, in a way. It was nicer to picture you tucked away behind clouds instead of closed in somewhere on your own. He wishes he had messaged you more often in those gray days.)
The sun had peeled back its covers, let green begin to color lawns and treetops once again. And Changyoon is with you again. The park is littered with small clusters and couples, all out to take advantage of the change in weather. Plans to find a bench or a sunny patch of grass had wordlessly been tossed aside. It isn’t clear whether you’re leading the way or he is. The two of you simply walk side by side, one hand each busy with a takeaway cup from a new café Changyoon heard good reviews of. He’s glad for it. It keeps him from following the impulse to reach out and take your hand in his.
Conversation comes and goes easily between the two of you. When silence falls, it feels welcome. A moment for yourselves, or else a moment for the rest of the world. It’s good - you remark - just to see things and people; to take in the feeling of everything being alive again.
Changyoon thinks you’re right, and says as much.
You look at him. He does the same. For the first time all afternoon, the lack of words feels awkward. You break it with a laugh, and he follows in suit despite not knowing entirely what was funny.
“Come on,” you say. “Maybe we’ll find a place to sit down off the path.”
Sure enough, a few moments later the two of you have settled into your own section of grass. Your cups sit at your sides, with condensation dripping down their sides and dripping onto the green blades. He recounts another story from your accidental time apart; incidents with his housemates that he would have updated you on sooner if the cold weather hadn’t reflected in your relationship, too.
When the next quiet comes upon you when you lean back in the grass and tilt your face up into the sunlight, eyes closed. Changyoon catches himself admiring the slight goosebumps on your arms and the way your eyelashes curl up just a bit as you squint under the light. Your lips curve upwards as your remark on how nice the sunshine is.
Changyoon wants to tell you how glad he is that you’re here with him. That the two of you could do so long apart and come back together without having your friendship changing.
You shift your weight to one side and lift one arm to shield your eyes before opening them to look at him. “You’d think I’d be used to it by now, but somehow every year it manages to surprise me how much better I feel once spring comes around.”
As you speak, he realizes - oh no. He’s wrong. Something might have changed. He watches the way your lips form the words closer than he did before. He’d like to take a photo of you right now. Not because your outfit is particularly well put together or the setting particularly photo-worthy. Just because of the comfort on your face and the way your eyes settle on his.
He swallows and feels he’s quite likely to say something stupid.
“I guess that’s why spring is associated with new starts,” you fill in as he remains quiet.
“You think so?”
“What you do mean think so?” you ask. You laugh between the words, and Changyoon finds himself smiling at the sound. “It’s an established theme!”
“Well, I wasn’t saying it isn’t. I meant-” He stops himself, unsure where exactly he meant to take it. His mind, he thinks, might be on an entirely different page than yours.
“Meant what?”
The curiosity in your gaze makes him reconsider.
There might be new starts for you two yet.
“You can’t even see: you’re three steps from loving me.”

Would you perhaps be down to write how a yandere rivalry be like with Pat (Etion from Onf?)and Mat(Jaeyoon from Sf9) (aka the dudes in my Pfp🫂)? And somehow they come to a agreement to just share y/n in the end? Time to spice it up a little from the usual one person gets y/n 👀👉👈 ❤

~ Yandere rivalry Etion + Jaeyoon x reader ~
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being an escort for the different royal kingdoms was a hard task that befell the less fortunate members of society. You were very much familiar with the different royal families that existed, especially their young sons who more often than anyone else called on you. There were two that seemed to have taken a liking to you, often inviting you when they felt lonely. At first it was random maybe once every two months but then it became more frequent and the topics you’d talk about were a lot more invasive and deep. The two kingdoms had the two sons you were familiar with - Jaeyoon and Etion.
Well inside you’d bow, feeling slightly embarrassed under the king and queen’s judging looks before going upstairs. You did this thing on that day that you had done so many times now.
He was waiting on the bed, like he always did and smirked when he saw you enter. He was shirtless and looked very relaxed yet tensed at the same time as if he was awaiting your arrival.
He was waiting on the bed, like he always did and smirked when he saw you enter. He was shirtless and looked very relaxed yet tensed at the same time as if he was awaiting your arrival.
You sat down at the end of the bed and you expected the normal thing to happen - he would use you however he wanted and after he’d cuddle you, pretending that he had a girlfriend and then you’d leave.
You started taking your top off.
‘‘ Wait ‘‘ he interrupted making you stop all movements very confused.
‘‘ Hm? ‘‘ you said.
‘‘ Not so fast ‘‘ his eyes changed, turned softer and more puppy like and you sat down again suddenly feeling curious.
Had something happened? Why was he acting so different...
It was then that another one of your frequent clients, Etion stepped out of the shadows in the corner of the room like a ghost.
You looked at Jaeyoon again but he showed no signs of surprise or anger that this stranger was in his bedroom, this was clearly planned.
You began to back away from them while casting quick glances to see where the door was. Your gut was telling you something was wrong but it would be dangerous to turn your back on these men right now.
Constantly your mind was contemplating just running for it until your fingertips finally felt the cold door handle.
‘‘ Y/n you can’t go out ‘‘ Etion warned calmly but you ignored him and pushed down with all of your weight.
No matter how much you push and pulled though, it wouldn’t move - he was right and now you were stuck here with them. Despair and fear started to kick in but you knew deep down that you had nowhere to run.
‘‘ Come ‘‘ Jaeyoon patted the bed and you walked there with a hung head and heavy heart. Sitting down silently you stared down at your hands and took a deep breath, a weak attempt at trying to calm yourself down.
‘‘ y/n ‘‘ Etion called again and you looked up meeting his eyes.
He had crouched down and was looking up at you with eyes filled with compassion and concern - it wasn’t adding up, how could someone so sweet looking do this to an innocent and helpless girl?
Tears were threatening to fall and your vision started to gradually get blurry. You heard Jaeyoon speak somewhere to your right by the headboard of the bed.
‘‘ We have decided to share you. After many months of fights and quiet disagreements behind your back, that is the conclusion we have come to ‘‘
Etion nodded and hummed softly but you felt anger flare up in your chest.
‘‘ Share me? What the fuck! I choose what I do with myself, I’m not some object you can just own ‘‘ when Jaeyoon spotted your fist clenching and shaking with anger he chuckled.
‘‘ I think you’ll find we can ‘‘
‘‘ Some people have more power than others y/n, you have to understand that ‘‘ Etion added.
God, he made you even angrier. It was different being upfront about your shittiness like Jaeyoon rather than the slow and painful guy you fall for that you afterwards find out was manipulating you. Those kind eyes of Etion would have fooled you any day if you didn’t know people like him. He was pure evil and even the sugarcoating and niceness he was trying to add to make you comply like a good little girl, would not fool you.
‘‘ No way ‘‘ you said and attempted to stand up but Etion easily pushed you down again as he rose to his full length towering over you.
‘‘ Sweetheart, I think you’ll find that everything becomes a lot easier if you stop asking why and just obey, okay? ‘‘ Jaeyoon whispered sickly sweet in your ear making your whole skin get covered in goosebumps.
He had moved closer and closer and you felt trapped between Etion and Jaeyoon.
There was no escape now. They were high-up families, you bet their parents even knew - and if you tried to run away they would always find you.
Hiring whoever they needed to bring their precious darling home to them.
They had claimed you.

you work for me, not him pt.2 // lee changyoon (e-tion) - requested
Tumblr media
🔌 pairing:: changyoon x reader 🔌 genre:: fluff, angst, CEO!etion,, secretary!reader 🔌 summary:: changyoon is your boss, but he has a thing for you. he’s acting really weird on the first week of your new job as his secretary.
——————————————————————————
“see you later princess.” i knew it. changyoon’s eyes widened and i started blushing bright red. i know he was going to say something about it. i hung up quickly only to look down to avoid his eyes.
“my office. now.” he said while walking away and i know knew that i was in deep shit. he was definitely going to say something but what? when he sat back down at his desk, he motioned for me to sit down in front of him. how the hell was i supposed to respond to whatever he was about to say to me? we sat in peace for at least 10 minutes, while he was working, i was sitting there staring at him.
“what’s your relationship with him?” why did he make a face that made him seem like he was jealous? but it wasn’t possible because i just started working with him. there was no way that he would be jealous.
“does it matter?” i scoffed rolling my eyes when he finally spoke up, then looked away from him to look out the window behind him. no matter what i did, i had to make sure that i never looked at him because if i did i would have to tell him the truth.
“of course it fuc- yes it does matter.” why was he reacting like this? it wasn’t like we were dating. it wasn’t like i’ve been working here for 10 or more years. i mean okay he was a good looking guy, but that didn’t help the situation at all. i was already starting to like him, regardless of just meeting him.
“what the hell changyoon? first you set a whole bunch of rules, then you tell me who i am or not allowed to talk to.” i scoffed again standing up deciding whether if i was going to walk out of that door and completely quit, or just sit at my desk thinking about what i did wrong. before i knew it, i was walking towards the door, but my wrist got pulled back, and i was pushed up against the wall.
“of course i can tell you what to do. you work for me, not him. i need you to understand that, princess.” if my heart wasn’t beating for him before, it sure was now. i know he was mocking seungjoon but damn did it make my heart go insane when he called me that.
“y-yes sir.” i nodded and cleared my throat to distract myself from the fact that i was probably turning bright red by now. how was i supposed to know that i was the type to fall for someone just because of some nickname.
that night at dinner, changyoon did what he had to do with hyojin but he wouldn’t stop looking over at me. i tried not to look over at him, but the only way that i could tell that he was looking at me, was to look back at him. every single time, he would smirk before looking away. i didn’t know why he was doing that.
“prin- y/n?” i gulped when he slipped up about the nickname, which gained  looks from both hyojin and seungjoon. do i deny anything about us or do i be honest?
“yes sir?” i bit my lip as i replied back to him, my face completely red now. i didn’t know if i was supposed to respond to the part when he called me princess or if i was supposed to respond to my name. i figured this was the best anwser to both.
“can you go pay the bill for us?” he smiled before hyojin told seungjoon to follow me. i laughed nodding before walking out of the door with seungjoon, turning around to look at him once more.
“don’t even think about it. you just started working there. you’re not allowed to fall for him this easy y/n.” seungjoon scoffed when he put his arm around my shoulder reminding me that i had just started working there and it wouldn’t be a good idea if i did fall for him.
so after a few months, i was head over heels for him. him calling me princess had become his habit that he accidently calls me that in front of his staff, which of course made me the most hated staff member by all the female staff. i would walk down the hallways and they would be there glaring at me.
“princess can you come in here please?” he shouted from his office and i stood up from my desk trying to stop my heart from fluttering when i walked in the room, but it didn’t work. i opened the door and i was swooning.
“what’s up?” i giggled knowing he hated when i was all casual with him but he started it first no? i walked up to his desk to then he told me to over to his side, before he stood up. when i walked over to him, he was completely towering over me smirking. before i knew it, he had slid his arm around my waist pulling me insanely close to him.
“let’s make a deal. if i can continue to keep my hands off you by the end of this week, then i’ll let you have that position that just opened up. if i can’t, i’m going to make you mine but you won’t get that position.” when i heard these things coming out of his mouth, i didn’t believe a word. he told me not to fall for him and here he is talking about this stuff as if it was this easy. i sure as hell wasn’t going to make it this easy.
“nice try changyoon. you told me not to fall for you so i haven’t. i’m not going to participate in this deal just because of that position. i’m happy where i am.” i was being honest because i liked working with changyoon. wait, that’s wrong. i liked being the only one working close with him.
“and if i’ve fallen for you?” he smirked whispering into my ear then pulled away to look me in the eyes. he put his hand under my chin making me look up at him. how the hell do you anwser something like this? his eyes made it’s way down to my lips as i licked them. i rolled my eyes starting my reply to him.
“i wouldn’t believ-” i couldn’t even finish my sentence before he pressed his lips against mine then moved his free arm to wrap around my waist. i smiled into the kiss when he pulled me even closer to him.
he wasn’t known as a playboy, but he had his fair share of women and he knew exactly how to get him to fall for him. i had to save him once or twice because of a scandal, but it worked out fine because now i’m here, walking down the aisle to marry the one and only lee changyoon. my prince.

e-tion + ice cream?
title: taste word count: ~ 900 warnings: none a/n: this is only acceptable soundtrack for reading this !! i don’t make the rules one word prompt flash fics; still accepting !
Changyoon thinks this is what the brink of insanity must feel like.
It’s absolutely absurd. You are his friends. Friends do not stare at friends as they pose for photos on pool floats. At least, he thinks they don’t. He’s pretty sue, at least, that they don’t stare the way he’s staring right now. He doesn’t know exactly what it is that’s changed. Maybe -- probably nothing. It’s not like it’s the first time Changyoon has seen you in a swimsuit. It must be at least the millionth time he’s seen you laugh and smile.  Yet Changyoon still feels like he can’t possibly look away from you and your antics, like he might regret a single moment he missed out on drinking you in.
From the edge of the pool, Yuto shouts for you to change poses. The attempt to shift on the inflatable chaise goes wrong - with a scream and a splash, you’re suddenly dunked under the water for half a second before emerging with a sputter and a laugh, eyes wiping chlorinated water away from your eyes. You squint your way through a few poses while treading water before shouting a thanks to Yuto and swimming over to the edge to pull yourself out.
Yuto dutifully shows you the photos he’s taken, and you alternate between laughing and insisting he send one to you, shading your eyes from the sun with one hand as you do. You thank him with a quick, one-armed young -- and as the worst symptom yet, Changyoon feels jealous.
Madness. To be jealous over a simple show a gratitude towards a friend you both have. Changyoon thinks he ought to force his focus away from you. Find someone to talk to. Find something else to think about.
The trouble is that you’re walking right his way. Water droplets still on your skin catch the sunlight and add a glimmer that Changyoon figures might be some kind of hallucination brought on by his newly found fixation on you.
“Did you see what happened to me out there?” you ask him as you come up to the lounge chair he’s in. As if he could have been looking anywhere else. “Yuto actually got a shot of me falling in.” You laugh and grab a towel from the side table to pat at your face and torso. “What’re you doing on the sidelines, anyway? How am I supposed to get a good picture without you in it?”
Changyoon does his very best not to mistake your usual playfulness for flirtation. He shifts on the chair, pulling his legs off to the side to wordlessly making room for you to sit on the end of the chair. “And risk messing up my hair?” he jokes. You pull a face at him as you plop down at the foot of the lounge seat, the towel gathered in your lap. “Besides, you falling into the water will be a great profile picture.”
“Oh, ha.” You shake your head at him, but crack a smile all the same. “Either way, you know what I think we both deserve?” Changyoon prompts you to carry on with a quirk of his brow. “Ice cream,” you suggest, and reach out a hand for his forearm. “Are you in or are you breaking my heart?”
He breaks into a laugh, simultaneously caught off guard and endeared by your dramatics. Your touch is cool against his skin. A flutter starts there and draws a straight path to just between his ribs.  “I’m in, I’m in,” he agrees. The notion of a world where he denies you feels impossible today.
You hop up with a grin and head back into the house with him, leading the way with ease to the kitchen. A few others are already there, seeking refuge from the sun and enjoying their own ice creams. Someone put music on a speaker, making the well lit room feel as much a party as the backyard.
Both of you peer into the freezer, weighing the pros and cons of different bars available. At first, you both reach for the same one - and Changyoon retracts his hand as if a lingering touch would burn.
“It’s yours if you want it,” you offer, standing up straight with a smile. He stares at you for a moment, then figures out you mean the ice cream bar in your hand. He glances back into the freezer.
“That’s the last one,” Changyoon realizes.
You shrug. “Still, if you want it.”
“It’s okay. Finders keepers?”
“I didn’t find it,” you correct with a laugh. “Or we could share it?”
That sounds fair and good. Neutral, maybe. Neither too eager to give to you nor to accept your kindness. A good, middleground.
Changyoon doesn’t know what he expected sharing an ice cream bar to look like. He doesn’t quite process it when you take the popsicle stick from him and take a bite after him, Changyoon feels like he’s short circuiting.
He must not be subtle enough about it either, because you chortle as you hold the ice cream out to him again. “What’s up with you?”
“Nothing!” Changyoon stammers out quickly. You tilt your head just slightly, and the skepticism is obvious. He takes the bar from you, if only to try to dissuade your suspicions.
With his next bite, all he can think about is whether your lips would taste more like this or chlorine.

let’s make a deal
j-us x reader
word count: ~ 1430 warnings: none (excluding me still being new to writing onf) a/n: coworkers!AU; anon requested 7 or 14 from the 100 ways and i kinda did both bc what are decisions ??? requests for onf are still open
Seungjun woke up early for you, so a little bit of nonsense is just the price you have to pay.
Tumblr media
Normally at this hour, you could only be grateful for a cup of coffee. Unfortunately, the brew at this corner cafe is too bitter to gulp down as you normally would. It leaves you sitting with your elbows propped up on the table, watching the steam rise and curl in the air. You should’ve ordered something else. Then again, even just the thought of anything sugary makes your stomach tense up a bit more. Nerves truly are the worst.
On the bus you’d made a promise to yourself not to think about work at least until Seungjun got here. The anxiety creeping through your muscles says you’ve failed at that. With a sigh, you lean down and zip open your bag. There’s no need to rummage; the bundle of index cards you’d finalized last night were right on top of all your other supplies. Bound together with a red rubber band you’d done and undone six times checking that you hadn’t left one of the cards out of place.
When you place the cards on the table, it’s with a heavy enough hand that it wobbles, and coffee threatens to slosh over the brim of the mug. It doesn’t have to happen for you to already feel a touch of panic over hypothetically soiling your presentation notes. Your finger digs in to one flat edge of your stack of cards. You remind yourself to breathe and focus your gaze on a patch of ceiling just left of one of the overhead lights.
This is a good opportunity. You’ve prepared. You shouldn’t be so nervous. Though if you mess it up, who knows when you’ll get another chance.
“Hey. Sorry I kept you waiting!” The voice and the body slipping into the chair across from you pulls you out of your worried thoughts.
You straighten your spine and summon a small smile for Seungjun. He looks nearly ready for work. He’s yet to finish off his outfit with one of the usual ties and his hair still looks a small touch damp.  There’s more than enough time left before the office opens for the latter issue to fix itself. And unless Seungjun had been particularly rushed getting here, you imagine there must be a tie stuffed somewhere into the backpack he’s dropping onto the floor.
“No, don’t worry,” you tell him, “Thanks for meeting me.”  The second half of your words comes out with less vigor. Not for a lack of appreciation, but from the part of you that very much wishes you could back out of giving a presentation at work altogether.
Seungjun’s eyes catch yours. There’s a distinct something in his gaze that says he can already see that hesitancy in you. He smiles like he doesn’t. “I’m sure everything you prepared is fine. But I don’t mind being the test run.”
You snap the rubber band against the first card in the pile nervously. “I don’t even know why I’m doing a project proposal.”
“Hopefully because you have an idea worth proposing.” His good-natured grin falters when you sink down in your seat. He rushes to amend it, “We both know it’s a good idea. You just have to present it confidently. So, come on. Let’s do a runthrough.”
The first time you go through your plans of what to say, Seungjun is nothing but encouraging. Despite the early hour, he summons smiles and nods and agreements that soothe some of your worries. Once you’ve bent a corner on the last index card of your stack, he begins with reassurances that it’s a presentation worth giving. That it’s not going to be a mistake. And that he has a few ideas on how you can smooth everything out in what you’re going to say.
He wouldn’t have been the one you called if you hadn’t wanted advice. Sticking to positivity first was his way of easing into the criticism he did have. You trust his judgement, though, and decide he wouldn’t nitpick if he thought the proposal would simply flop either way.
You lean forward in your chair, angling your arms so you can show him your notes as you start from the top again. He stops you here and there, with clarifying questions or suggestions on stronger wording.
By the time you’re done, there’s whole cards that have been put aside in favor of a more concise presentation. And Seungjun’s hair has finished drying in the cool air of the cafe.
“What do you think?” he asks as you eye over the altered notes, “Feeling ready?”
“I guess so.” It may not be as definitive as either of you would wish, but it’s better than where you’d started this morning. Carefully, you tap the cards together on the tabletop to even out the edges before wrapping the rubber band back around the reduced pile. “Thanks again.”
He shrugs and gives a wave of a hand. As if he hadn’t gotten up far earlier than usual just for you. You bend to put the notes back in your bag, and find yourself pausing just as you set them atop your wallet and notebook. You probably should have asked for his advice earlier. That way you’d have more time to practice with the changes made. It feels like such an obvious misstep now that it’s occurred to you. You straighten back into your chair and check the time. There’s no getting around the fact that you’ll have to head out to the office soon.
“Did I tell you?” Seungjun cuts into your spiraling thoughts for the second time this morning. You blink your focus onto him and let out a puzzled ‘huh?’
“I just remembered, I dreamt about you last night,” he tells you. It only adds to the confusion on your face. “Yeah,” he insists before you could get out any kind of doubt. “It was at, like, this fancy ball kind of thing. Fancy clothes and strings playing and all. And I think I must have been a prince or something, because you looked just shocked when I came up and asked ‘can I have this dance?’” As he quotes his dream-self, he changes his tone and holds out one hand to you over the table; palm up in some kind of reenactment.
A feeling that you try to keep locked away wriggles its way out of its cocoon. You do your best to withhold a smile as you say, “You’re so lame.”
Seungjun’s barking laugh might as well be an admission of as much. Still, he insists, “am not,” through his amusement. “I thought it was a good dream!”
“Because you were royalty?” You refuse to let yourself ask about it being because you were in it. That’s the last thing you need to start thinking about before giving a project proposal.
“Well, there is that.” He grins, and the thought of standing in front of your bosses in boardroom escapes you almost entirely. “But I mean I think it was a good omen kinda thing. For you. Like we’re gonna have a reason to celebrate some time soon.”
You are not entirely convinced that’s how anyone would read that dream. Or even if that’s how he thought of it before this moment. All you muster in reply is a simple, “Maybe.”
“What do you say -- if they take up your project, you and I go out dancing?”
This time you’re the one guffawing. Your laughter might be from your most insecure parts, unable to picture your proposal going half as well as that. Or else from a whole other set of doubts at the thought Seungjun may have just asked you out. Albeit on conditions you find unlikely to come true.
“Why would we do that?” You try not to think about whether or not it’d be date if it did happen. And pray that your face hasn’t betrayed you by flushing at the notion.
“Because of the dream!” Seungjun declares, as if it were only natural. “And so you know I really think your presentation will go well.” Before you can try to unravel what implications might be behind that, he’s holding his out to you once again and asking for a decision. “Deal?”
You eye him over once and let out a small sigh as you place your elbow on the edge of the table. Your pinky locks with his as you answer, “Deal.”
Maybe thinking of his smile during your meeting will help relieve your nerves. Or at least give you something other than your proposal to be nervous about.

you work for me, not him // lee changyoon (e-tion)
Tumblr media
🔌 pairing:: changyoon x reader 🔌 genre:: fluff, angst, CEO!etion,, secretary!reader 🔌 summary:: changyoon is your boss, but he has a thing for you. he’s acting really weird on the first week of your new job as his secretary.
——————————————————————————
"there are loads of rules that you need to follow when you work for me." he smirked and winked leaning forward onto his desk. i glared up at him thinking to myself what the hell i did in my past life to have a boss like this. i hated him already and i just started. i sat in front of his desk, and he was sitting at his desk.
"try me." i shrugged my shoulders then leaned back on the chair. if i was able to survive the most cruel boss in my past job, this would be simple right? man was i wrong. he stood up walking around his desk smirking when he realized i was checking him out.
“first, you have to follow me, everywhere I go." he started the sentence, and as he finished it, he stared into my eyes, leaning inches away from my face. i nodded pretending that i wasn’t blushing because of how breathtaking he was up close. he backed away sitting on his desk with his arms crossed.
"second, anything bad that happens to me, you make sure that it doesn't get out. you'll protect me with your life. got it?" he raised his eyebrows when i nodded. i mean he was charasmatic, but he was scary as fuck.
"third, you follow every single one of my steps. do not fall behind." he shrugged grabbing my hand and pulled me to stand up. he then pulled me by the waist so that i was standing between his legs with my hands on his chest. he looked down at my lips then up to my eyes.
"lastly and most importantly. do not fall for me. if you do, there’s no saying in what i’d do to you." he leaned forward putting his head side by side to mine, whispering in my ear. after a few seconds, he leaned in resting his forehead onto mine, and rested his hands on both sides of my waist. my heart skipped a beat with every word that came out of his mouth. i may not have realized it, but i was already falling for him regardless of knowing that i was going to get hurt. he may have been one of the most successful 25 year old ceo’s in the world, but everyone knew how big of a player he was. but everyone wanted him no matter what. i mean look at him. even i wanted him.
"y-yes sir." i nodded and bit my lip stuttering because nothing else would come out of my mouth. i pulled away from him but he only pulled me back in with his arm now around my waist.
"i made you nervous didn't i?" he laughed bringing me even closer to him that our chests were touching.
"i don’t know what you’re talking about." the only words that kept repeating in my head were 'if you do, there’s no saying in what i’d do to you '. those words. those damn words. he stood up before sitting me back down onto the chair like nothing happened. this is definitely not how i imagined this job to be.
"i have three things for you to do. get me the contract for hyojin electronics. then i want you to set up an appointment with him so that we can get the deal started. after you set up the appointment, talk to legal about making a deal. last thing, go get my car. we're going shopping." he winked at me before walking behind his desk. i was supposed to be staying in my lane, but why was my heart beating so fast for him? so damn fast.
i walked out of the office with bright red cheeks, picked the contract up, before walking back into his office. i handed the folder to him giving him a look that made me seem like i wasn’t affected by him. he smirked at me when he took it out of my hands. the look in his eyes when he took the contract, sent chills down my spine so much that i couldn't even think. everything about him made my mind go blank.
"thank you love." he smiled genuinely and opened the folder. i don't think i had ever seen such a gorgeous smile until now.
"you’re welcome." i smiled and turned around quickly as i shook off how cute his smile was. once i sat back down in my chair, i called up the secretary of hyojin electronics, who also happened to be one of my best guy friends, lee seungjoon.
"hey cutie."
"you’re annoying you know that?" i rolled my eyes before looking down at the restaurant that changyoon had given me. i smiled down at the note and i didn’t even realize it.
"tou always say that. what's up gorgeous? what do you need?" i could hear the smirk in his voice, but i always knew that he was teasing me. his girlfriend hated me because we were so close. while I was looking at the restaurant name, i didn’t notice that changyoon had come out of his office, standing in front of my desk with his hands in his pockets.
"can you check hyojin’s schedule? changyoon wants to meet about the contract." i was paying attention to the sticky note that i didn’t notice him glaring at me. but when i noticed the pair of eyes watching me, i looked up to meet eyes with changyoon.
"he's free at 7pm. yes or no?" he replied after a few minutes and i quickly checked his schedule to see if the time was a go. his whole schedule was empty except the few meetings that he had already attended to.
"yes it works." i nodded keeping my eye contact with him. he sat on my desk smirking at me moving his fingers to put the call on speaker and my eyes widened. i knew that seungjoon was going to end the call with something flirty which was going to kill me.
"see you later princess." i knew it. changyoon’s eyes widened and i started blushing bright red. i know he was going to say something about it. i hung up quickly only to look down to avoid his eyes.
"my office. now."
