SKATE INTO MY HEART
genre. fluff. skater au. meetcute kinda? warnings. kissing. reader falls off their skateboard once. i know nothing about skateboarding but i tried to do some research for this lmfao. pairing. changyun x reader. wc. 1.5k. a/n. guys im officially whipped asf for etion its not even funny anymore
Unlike most of your friends, you liked getting up early. Not just waking up early only to go back to sleep, but doing things in the early hours of the morning.
You liked the cool chill of the morning air and the fresh crisp dewy smell of the wet grass. You liked the walk you took to the skatepark when the sky was still a dusky blue and the sun hadn’t even fully awoken yet.
But, most of all, you liked the welcome solitude of the skatepark in the early morning. You had been skeptical of skateboarding as a hobby when you were little. It looked boring and dangerous and even lame to you 12 year old brain.
Your older brother had loved it, though, and in an attempt to spend more time with him, you picked it up too. Turns out, skateboarding wasn’t as lame as you thought. The adrenaline rush you felt as the breeze blew through your hair and you felt like you were going a mile a minute was addicting. The satisfaction of cleanly landing a hard trick was like no other.
What had first been an attempt at finding an activity to do with your brother quickly turned into 15 long years of skating. And now, you still kept it as a side hobby to relax before a long work day.
It was one of those mornings where you felt like nothing could possibly go wrong. It was the perfect temperature— chilly, but comfortable with a hoodie on— and the light rain the day before left the outside world fresh and clean.
You got up at 5 AM and were already on your way to the skatepark at 5:20. You wore jeans and a simple hoodie to keep warm and comfortable, hair tied up so it wouldn’t get in your face. You had been working on a trick called the laser flip for a couple weeks now. It was technically challenging, and it had been nothing but failures so far. But you still worked on it, determined to master it eventually.
Nothing could possibly interrupt the idyllic morning. You were already planning it in your head. You would arrive at the skatepark and skate for an hour and blissful seclusion, then stop by a coffee shop on your way to work. You felt as if you could even handle your boss’s yelling today and not even flinch. You felt amazing.
Well, until the first part of your plan fell apart.
As the skatepark came into your view, it was immediately clear that there was already someone skating there. Really? At 5:30 in the morning!?
You sighed heavily at the sight and debated turning back around to go home. You hated conversing with other skaters or even sharing the space. You didn’t like to have to be cautious of other people using the same space. More often than not, it ended in ruined tricks and frustration.
Not to mention that most of the skaters you had encountered in your town were smoking and high all the time. It was just better if you didn’t mix with that crowd.
But you really wanted to be able to skate this morning, so you trudged along the path, setting your skateboard down when you were almost to the park and skating the rest of the way.
At first, you tried to ignore the other person there. You didn’t pay any attention to him or his rather impressive ollie 540, which he landed cleaner than you had ever seen. Okay, maybe you paid a little attention to him. You shook your head and focused back on your own skating, though. Just because he’s a good skater doesn’t mean that you wanted to converse with him.
You attempted your laser flip again, positioning your feet in the right place and executing a frontside shuvit and a heel-flip to lift yourself up in the air. You almost landed it, really. It was so close to being a perfect land.
But instead, that stupid guy from across the skatepark had made eye contact with you at just that moment, flashing a pretty smile at you, causing you to lose focus and trip over the board on your way down.
The guy halted abruptly when he saw you fall and hurried over. He knelt down to make sure you weren’t hurt anywhere and held out his hand for you to grab to help stand up.
You had always been petty and in the moment you felt like it was entirely his fault that you hadn’t landed the laser flip. You brushed his hand away and stood up on your own, brushing off your hands and jeans.
“That’s a shame. Your technique was pretty solid. You could’ve landed it smoothly.” He said, a small smile playing on his lips.
Up close, you could see every detail of his face. His high cheekbones and pointy chin. His smooth skin and piercing dark eyes. He must’ve caught you taking a glance at him because his lips curved upwards into a sweet smile. You could see how perfectly his smile lines appeared on his face and how his lips didn’t quite meet all the way when spread into the heart-fluttering gesture.
“I would’ve landed it if I hadn’t gotten distracted.” You muttered, feeling your ego bruise at embarrassing yourself in front of him, clearly the better skater of the two of you.
He let out an amusement scoff, and got back on his board, calling out a clear, “Try it again!” as he skated a bit away.
You sighed when you realized that he had stopped once he got to the other end and was now sitting on his board, staring intently at you, waiting for you to make the move.
Your plan had originally been to go home after that embarrassing fall, but now that the handsome guy was waiting for you to try to laser flip again, you felt like you had no choice. You took a breath and got back on your board.
You felt nervous that someone was watching you. You had barely even taken skating lessons in your years of skating, learning mostly with your brother, through trial and error, and with YouTube. It certainly didn’t help that the person watching you was someone you found extremely attractive.
But as you bent your knees, and caught his smile from the corner of your eyes, you felt a surge of confidence. You jumped, feeling the adrenaline rush in the pit of your stomach, your skateboard flipped in the air, and you landed cleanly.
You beamed and your eyes immediately went in search of him. He was smiling too, his pearly teeth out on display and his eyes shining with an unmistakable message. He was proud of you. You skated over to him and sat down next to him.
“I’ve been struggling with that for weeks. I didn’t expect to suddenly get it today.” You said with a laugh.
“I guess I’m a good luck charm, then.” He said smoothly, “I’m Changyun by the way.”
“Y/n.”
“Y/n… Can I treat you to coffee?”
//
“When you tripped, I couldn’t help myself! You almost fell on your face!” You giggled.
Changyun looked offended, “So you would’ve just stood there and laughed at me even if I fell flat on my face?”
“It’s only ‘cause I adore you.” You said quickly, attempting to save yourself from the trap you had put yourself in. You cupped his cheeks with your hands, staring into his eyes until the hurt look in his eyes faded into love.
“Next time you fall off your board, I have the right to laugh, though.” He said quickly. Clearly there was still an ounce of hurt left in him, but you knew how to get rid of it.
“Okay, baby. Sure. Laugh all you want.” You moved one of your hands from his cheek to his shoulder, leaning in until your lips met his soft ones.
Changyun loved to kiss you and he easily melted into it, his lips moving against yours gently. His hands slipped to your waist, pulling you closer to him, and once you broke the kiss to catch your breath, he continued a trail of kissing by your lips and up your cheek until you were giggling from the ticklish feeling and pulling away. You rested your forehead against his, your heart racing in sync with his.
“I think your skateboard ran away from you.” You whispered, eyes glancing behind your boyfriend to where his black skateboard was, indeed, slowly rolling away.
Changyun smiled, on the verge of a laugh, “It always ruins the moment.” He gave one more short kiss to your lips before breaking the close embrace and jogging off to stop his board.

Title: Full of Treats
Pairing(s): Daehyeon/Changyun. Daehyeon/Yeonjin.
Character(s): Seo Daehyeon. Cha Changyun. Seo Yeonjin. Kim Taehui.
Summary: Ever since Moonlit debuted, Neostar came to realize that their artist’s birthday fell on the same day as Halloween which sparked the tradition of a Halloween themed party every year to celebrate.
Warning(s): Aside from some references to sexual content, there’s nothing but fluff!
Daehyeon was someone who was a stickler for traditions, especially when it consisted of things he knew everyone that was around him enjoyed. When he was younger, he was adamant on his family keeping up the traditions of going on a trip to the beach in the first week of summer, or how at the end of the week they did their best to all sit together and binge shows just to feel like they were still connected even if the rest of the week was a busy mess. It was just a simple way to keep everyone together, without really losing anything.
A part of him knew that’s why he loved keeping the traditions going: it was a way for him to stay close with his loved ones that didn’t require him tripping on his own feet figuring a way to keep himself close to them.
Dae would like to believe he was a highly affectionate person, but most of the time that relied heavily on his actions as opposed to his words.
Being tongue-tied with showing love was something that planted its seed in Daehyeon when he was growing up, and it solely wrapped its roots around his being until it became his foundation.
So, yeah, maybe relying on unspoken traditions was a better way to go around with keeping his relationships in check.
Standing in front of the mirror, Dae snugged the bunny ears onto his head, reaching up to ruffle his hair to try and make the ears look more natural, if that was even possible.
When he was younger, Daehyeon was both a fan and an avid anti of his own birthday. There was the part of him that loved it for the evident reason of it being a day where his own existence was meant to be celebrated, and he would be quite the idiot not to enjoy the love and attention he received on that day. However, there was also the part of him that wasn’t the hugest fan due to the fact that his birthday fell on Halloween, which came with a few jokes on its own.
Jokes which consisted of Dae’s friends giving him “tricks” rather than “treats” for his presents, or how his little brother, Yeonjin, had managed to lock him out of the house at midnight so the witches he belonged to could take him back. It was an occurrence that Daehyeon was not proud to say happened more than once...or twice. Even Yeonu, his eldest brother who was the embodiment of responsibility, played into a few of the jokes. He acted as if Dae was a wandering ghost that Yeonu couldn’t see just to pick on him, until Dae got slightly frustrated and then Yeonu spent the rest of the day showing him with attention.
As he grew up, Daehyeon embraced all of that. He became one who would play tricks on his friends and make it clear he had the privilege due to his birthday, and although Yeonjin and Yeonu were determined to tease Dae with supernatural jokes, the birthday boy decided to play into it.
And maybe, he was able to get back at Yeonjin by scaring him to the point of Yeonjin actually believing he wasn’t human one birthday, but it was to be expected.
When Daehyeon debuted with Dark Moon things, evidently, changed. He spent his birthdays in Seoul with his members instead of his family, although he was quick to book a trip back home the next chance he had. However, when Nesotar grew, so did the events that took place with it’s artists, and so came the tradition of throwing a large costume / birthday party at their CEO’s home, with Taehui hiring full-blown party directors to make it feel all the more special.
“I thought you were going as a hot playboy bunny?” Daehyeon’s head snapped towards his bedroom door, his eyes falling onto Changyun who had his head peeked out with a grin on his face.
“Yeah, but I remembered Yeonjin is coming and I’m not keen on traumatizing my little brother like that.” Daehyeon shook his head, wondering if it was too late to cancel on his brother showing up, before shaking the thought from his head.
He didn’t look bad, he had on a black sweater whose cut dipped down very low to his chest, black leather pants to match, the bunny ears he had on his head, and the choker he had borrowed from Haeju around his neck. It wasn’t as hot as he planned to be, and he was very much aware he was the screaming definition of a basic costume, but as the birthday boy he wasn’t going to sweat it.
“You still haven’t told me what you’re going as.”
“Batter up, here comes baseball legend Gyu,” Changyun announced as he walked in with a costume that mirrored his words of being a baseball player, tugging on his cap while he swung his bat slowly in his hand. “Playing to get to third base with the birthday boy.”
Dae bursted into a fit of laughter at his member’s antics, watching as how he positioned himself to look as if he was getting ready to make a home-run.
“I’m glad you found that funny, I spent a lot of time thinking about this costume.”
“Oh, you were serious?”
“Maybe I have a special something planned, if you want to and you’re up for it of course.” Changyun’s grin contrasted the careful tone in his voice, making it obvious that Dae was free to reject the proposal like he could always.
“If that’s your only birthday gift, I’m going to be very disappointed...I’ll take it, but still disappointed.”
“Oh, come on.” Changyun shook his head as he wrapped an arm around Daehyeon’s shoulder, bringing him along in leaving the dorms. “What kind of leader would I be if I didn’t get my member an actual gift?”
“The same type of leader who’s trying to get in my pants at the end of the night.”
“Who said it’s just me?” Dae groaned at the way Gyu’s smirk slithered onto his face, his eyes fueled with the same confidence that was wrapped around his words, however his complaints fell silent when his mind processed exactly what his friend had just said.
“You’re lying.”
“I would never lie, I have to set an example for you guys.”
“That’s a first.” Daehyeon suddenly felt Gyu push him forwards, the younger turning around with a bright smile to see Gyu squinting and pointing a finger at him, which Dae took in his hand and simply held as they left the dorms. “Is my pumpkin carriage waiting outside?”
“Fuck no,” Gyu let out a sarcastic laugh, turning back to lock the dorms, “dress up as Cinderella and next time maybe you’ll get lucky.”
----
“If you get a new game, you’ll let us come over to play, right?” the voice of his little brother traveled to his ears before he caught sight of him, Daehyeon laughing at how loud his voice was even over the music blaring.
“I don’t think anyone bought me a game, buddy.” Dae smiled at his brother before frowning and reaching forwards to try and pick at the fabric Yeonjin had decided to wear to the party and cover his chest a bit more.
Dae and practically all the artists, and some staff, had arrived at Taehui’s home not too long ago. The birthday boy was more than shocked to see his entire house completely decked out in decorations, starting from the driveway, his mind lost count of how much it would’ve cost for all of the decorations. The inside was even better, each room having a specific theme that radiated with Halloween.
A room designed for a witch concept, which was actually the living room. A zombie apocalypse vibe for the kitchen, eating brains and what not. The movie room had skeletons creeping all over the room, with fog machines stationed throughout it.
The vibe of the entire house was exactly what Halloween resonated with, although Dae was overwhelmed at how much fun the rich could have, making a mental note to start manifesting the same wealth for himself.
A strict dress code was enforced, everyone being required to wear costumes. His brother, going as an angel.
And as much as Daehyeon found the hallo plopped onto his head adorable, he had to fight the instinct to cover him up, the toga he wore for the costume covering only the right of his chest, leaving the left side completely bare.
His brother was showing more skin than he was, and Daehyeon took that as a personal defeat.
“Stop trying to cover me up, I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on how good I look today!” Yeonjin grumbled, slapping Dae’s hands away from himself, going to the extent of acting as if he was ready to slip the fabric off his shoulder and just lounge around in the skirt.
“Who was flirting with you?” Dae squinted his eyes, his eyes scanning the room all of a sudden. He knew Changyun wouldn’t, finding him oddly close to Wonshik (who was clad in a gladiator costume, his chest bare as well, which Daehyeon treated as a birthday gift for his eyes) giving him a slight hint of who the third person in his bedroom would be.
Deoksu was sticking alongside Chan, both boys being a set of costumes: modern-Care-Bears. Deoksu being Share Bear, a white shirt with the purple symbol with matching purple overalls. Chan was Sunshine Bear, his outfit practically the same aside from the symbol and yellow scheme.
“If you’re trying to figure out who, it was Seoyun.” Yeonjin let out a laugh, watching as the realization faded onto his face, knowing Seoyun was the last person who’d be attracted to Yeonjin, the two having nothing but platonic love for one another. “Plus, you can’t be too worried.”
Daehyeon turned to his brother and raised a brow at his comment, watching in the corner of his eyes how Haeju, who was Catwoman, was trying to steal the crown of Seoyun’s head, who was dressed as a princess.
“I should be more worried with who you’re hanging with.” Yeonjin’s sly smile mirrored his teasing tone, finding satisfaction in the way Dae’s cheeks suddenly flushed in heat, rising up out of his seat. “As your resident angel, I have to say: sins of pleasure are still sins.”
Daehyeon looked up as Yeonjin with his mouth wide open, his brain going at 100mph trying to figure out how to even respond to his little brother trying to pick on him.
“I’m going to go find Taewon, I told him to dress up as the devil so we could have a cute contrast!” his chipper tone and bright voice betrayed the way the teasing glint was in his eyes, firmly showing off how happy he was with the fact that he won the small banter. “Don’t find your own devilish adventures while I’m gone!”
With that, Yeonjin was gone, leaving Dae in a small laughing fit, the blush on his face not fading in the slightest.
Daehyeon tried taking the time to chance to enjoy the feeling of the room, how there was an undying happiness that seemed to wrap it’s hand around everyone’s heart and how there was a spark of fun that ignited a fire of energy that didn’t seem like it was bound to go out until late into the night.
It just felt right.
It felt good.
The birthday boy was basking in the feeling of nothing but warmth the night had radiated, when he felt the couch seat dip a bit next to him, turning only to make eyes with his CEO.
Taehui was adorned in all black, just like Dae. However, he had a silk button up, and a transparent cloth wrapped his eyes, black makeup dripping from his eyes to emulate teardrops. With the large scythe in his hands when they first entered, it didn’t take too long for him to realize he was meant to be a modern Grim Reaper.
“Having fun, Daehyeon?” Taehui’s voice often felt like honey to Dae’s ears, it was smooth in it’s delivery while there was a gentle sweetness that had always radiated in his tone, making it more than comfortable talking with him.
“Yeah, how could I not when I’m in a spooky mansion right now?” the question was rhetorical, and both men laughed at it, Dae feeling immensely grateful in that moment that he had found his way to Neostar.
“With all your friends too.”
He felt a hand on his shoulder, the way it squeezed reassuringly comforting him.
“Enjoy yourself tonight, Dae. Your birthday happens once a year, it’d be a shame not to have fun with it. But don’t enjoy it too much, I don’t want to start paying Dispatch to say quiet.”
“You’re right.” Dae nodded to himself, before bringing his hands up to slap his cheeks a few times to get him out of the sadden haze, wanting to listen to Hui’s words.
“It’s been nice seeing you grow up each year. It didn’t feel like too long ago you were auditioning, and now you’re on your way up to achieving your dreams at full-speed.”
“You can’t tell me you remember my audition.”
“Oh,” Daehyeon felt himself internally groan when he saw the smile on Taehui’s face, the same mischief running across his lips as Yeonjin’s previously. “How could I forget the boy who, when he was auditioning, was more focused on looking at me and looking like he was going to pounce at me?”
The question surged heat in Dae’s core, his head quickly snapping to Taehu’s directions, trying to make eye-contact through the blindfold. “You knew?”
“I’m not that old, Daehyeon, I’ve seen that look far too many times.” the older man laughed ever so softly at how Daehyeon put his head in his hands, the blush now creeping onto his ears, evidently showing off how embarrassed he had gotten to be. “Don’t worry, we picked you for your talents.”
“I hope so.” the muffled response triggered more laughter, the CEO patting the younger’s back gently a few times.
“Come on, I think it’s time to open your presents, no?”
“Anything to get away from this conversation.”
“Oh, so you can stare at Wonshik and Changyun like that instead?”
“Are you serious?”
“You’ve got to work on your poker face, Daehyeon, you’ve been eyeing them all night.”

X-Clan Renaissance- Part 4
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 2694
Genre: X-Clan au, I must warn you that this contains lots of angst, smut, fluff, violence, sensitive subjects
A/N: I’m doing a lot of writing tonight and I’ve been excited to get back to this fic. I hope you guys are enjoying it, I love you all - Kay
Part 3
I glared at Kihyun, who sat at the center of the room. I had spent months believing that something had happened to him, that he was dead in a ditch somewhere or a group of clergymen had found him an executed him in secret. I was driven mad by the thought of knowing that something truly horrible had happened to him. I never expected him to be sitting before me, in perfect health. Well, in a way I did, but I never wanted to believe that he would just abandon everyone like that. In a way, it made me feel sicker knowing that he was now safe and healthy.
“You know, the leadership position suits you pretty well, Y/N. You’re pretty intimidating, Sister Y/N.” Kihyun tried teasing, to make light of the tense situation. “Shut up,” I snapped at the man in front of me. I bore holes into his skin, causing him to squirm in his wooden chair out of being purely uncomfortable. It was entertaining, seeing him like this. He deserved it after all.
“Are you going to tell us why you stole a flower and left? Or are you going to play dumb in front of your new found ‘friends’” I raised my fingers to make air quotes. In all honesty, I had no idea who these men were. They came here with Kihyun, and as much of an asshole Kihyun was, I knew that he would never bring people into the base that he didn’t completely trust. At least there was that much.
Kihyun shook his head slowly, gripping on to the chair tightly. “I can talk to you in private, Y/N, but not here.” His voice, quiet, was kept low to keep the other men from listening in. Hoseok and Changkyun had stood at the entrance, watching in silence.
I turned to face the two of them, hoping they would offer up some advice as to what I should do. Hoseok pursed his lips together and shook his head. Changkyun stayed emotionless. I sighed and revolved back around to focus back on Kihyun. I lifted my hand and pointed to the living areas of the base, where he had once lived.
Kihyun hesitantly got up from the wooden chair before he nodded and started to walk towards where you were pointing. I peered back to Hoseok and Changyun and nudged my head towards the strangers that took up the majority of the room. “Talk to them. Get as much information as you can. I’ll be back.” You informed the two of them while you followed Kihyun closely.
Hoseok grinned and pushed away from the concrete wall. He pulled in fingers together and cracked his knuckles. Once Kihyun and I were out of the room, Hoseok and Changkyun sauntered up to the new group of men, faking false bouts of confidence.
“Alright, who wants to talk?” Hoseok ventured. He peered around the group, counting six men in total. “I’ll speak,” Said the man in the middle. He stood up and wiped his hands on his dusty jeans.
“I’m Seungcheol, the leader of the SVT group. We’re a rebel group based just a few villages over.” He glanced down to his companions and pointed to the man closest to him. “This is Soonyoung,” Seungcheol informed as he started to go down the row, listing off the names of his members.
“Then there’s Jihoon, Jisoo, Wonwoo, and Seungkwan. There are more of us, but they’re watching over our own base while we’re away.” Each man raised his hand to give a small greeting to Hoseok and Changkyun.
Changkyun wasted no time in his interrogations. He leaned forward, breaking any amount of personal between him and the strangers. “How long has Kihyun been with you?” Changkyun snapped, clearly annoyed that Kihyun had been with another group.
“Changkyun,” Hoseok said lowly. The older man pressed his hand on the younger’s back, letting him know that he needed to calm down. Hoseok raised his head and sent Seungcheol and apologetic look.
“We’re sorry. Kihyun is… he was an important part of our group. He left us behind months ago. We haven’t known where he was.” Hoseok pulled Changkyun away from Seungcheol’s space and sighed.
“We’ve only known him for a few days. He had found his way into an empty part of our base. He had a body with him, shoved into a black bag with the blood trailing behind him. He told us about the Clan and we pushed him to take us to you, another rebel group.” Seungcheol’s voice was almost apologetic, as if he was sorry that he couldn’t provide more information about their friend.
Changkyun and Hoseok exchanged frantic glances, their eyes wide in fear. “A body?” Changkyun asked. Seungcheol nodded his dark haired head. “He’s been killing Clergymen.” He told the two, stunned men.
Though, it wasn’t completely surprising, Kihyun’s vendetta against clergymen was nothing new. Perhaps now, he had decided to act upon it.
Kihyun’s Room
We stayed silent for what felt like hours. I glared at him while he leaned back on the concrete wall of his room. I wanted to run up to him and wrapped my arms around his waist as I sobbed into his neck, only happy to know that he was alive and safe.
Then there was the harrowing feeling of anger that brewed every time I caught a glimpse of his dark eyes. How could he just show back up after months of no contact and pretend as if nothing happened? How could he crack jokes so shamelessly, as if he hadn’t caused me more pain than anything else that had come up.
“Are you going to tell me lies and pretend as if nothing happened? Or are you going to tell me the truth and try to earn back my trust? Choice is up to you, I’m not the one w-”
“I had always planned on coming back. Did you seriously believe that I would leave you and never come back? After everything we went through? Of course I was going to come back.” He lowered his voice, cautious of everything he said.
“Why did you leave in the first place, Kihyun? What was so important to you that you needed to leave the group? What was so important that you needed to leave me?” I raised my voice at him as I grew more angered with him.
“I was nothing to the group, Y/N! I couldn’t walk without the support of braces, I was a shell of the man I used to be. Do you know how hard it was to not be able to do a damn thing for myself? I was worthless. Scum. I didn’t feel like a man.”
“So you left to prove your masculinity, Kihyun? You were the strongest man that I knew. Maybe not physically, but emotionally you were the strongest. You were never less than a man than anyone else. Where did you go after you healed yourself with the flower? Please, tell me the rest of the story before I start yelling.” I grumbled, eyeing the man with a venomous stare.
“I killed the men who killed my parents and crippled me.” There was a long pause of silence after the words left his mouth. I didn’t know how to respond to him. Kihyun had left us to go on a revenge trip.
“I-It’s the only way I could be at peace with myself. I was an idiot, a dumbass even. I should have stayed or told you where I was going, but I was ashamed of it all.” Tears beaded at the corner of his eyes as he spoke to me.
“You left when I needed you the most. Jooheon was killed, Changkyun was gone, Hyunwoo was in jail, and Hyungwon and Minhyuk were in a mental asylum, and I thought you were somewhere, dead.” Now I felt the tears build up painfully behind my eyes.
Kihyun pulled away from his place on the wall and strode over to where I was standing by the door. His hands were quick to find their way onto my face, where he cupped my cheeks gently. He shifted my gaze up to meet his tear stained eyes.
“I’m so sorry,” He whispered, this had been the hundredth time he had said those words, but this time it had felt purely genuine.
“You’re selfish, idiotic, and full of yourself, Yoo Kihyun,” I hiccuped as I tried to keep my tears from flowing down my face. Kihyun nodded his head in agreement. He moved in closer. His breaths collided with mine until he moved in to close the space between the two of us.
“Please, not for one moment, believe that I don’t still love you, Y/N.” He murmured into the shared space between the two of you. I closed my eyes, “I know,” Is all I could muster up to say. His grip on my face tightened when he finally connected our lips.
Almost as quickly as it happened, I pushed away from the kiss. My hands found their way to Kihyun’s chest. I pressed against his torso and moved away from his hold. “I can’t do this, Kihyun. Not yet. I-” I looked back to the brunette and shook my head. “Not yet,” I felt as if I had been repeating the words over and over, but I couldn’t think of anything else to say.
I wasn’t ready to go back to Kihyun, not when I still couldn’t trust him fully. I loved him, at least I still had a semblance of love for the man. But I knew I needed to focus on other things before I was ready to fully forgive Kihyun.
I turned away from him and opened the door leading out into the hall. “We should go.” I said under my breath before I left Kihyun, standing still in shock.
The Base
“So you’re tell us that you’re the heir to the PK?” Jihoon asked skeptically after we had informed him of the story of the X-Clan. Hoseok and Changkyun chuckled dryly under their breaths at the mens reactions to the news.
I nodded my head and crossed my legs over each other. Jihoon looked to Hoseok and Changkyun, his brows raised in shock. I could tell by their expressions that they weren’t too sure how to feel about being in the presence of the ‘future leader of the PK.’
“It’s helped us greatly. I’ve been able to acquire more supplies and garner more information about the organization than you could believe.” I told them, assuring them that I truly was on the side of the rebels.
“If you’re always so close to Kang, why don’t you just kill him in his sleep? Wouldn’t it be easier than planning an entire revolt against the PK?” Asked Seungkwan, the youngest of the men that were present.
The man next to him shifted around in his seat, as if he knew why we couldn’t do that. I looked to the man, who I assumed to be Wonwoo, the strategist of the group. “You can say it, if you would like to.” I told him, urging him to speak.
Wonwoo nodded his head and pushed up his wire rimmed glasses from the tip of his long nose. “It’s because the rebels needs time to win over the hearts of the people. If Y/N killed Kang and took over his place as the leader, and she tried to change the entire agenda of the government, the loyalists would attempt to overthrow her. No one would understand the sudden change, so they’re trying to slowly ease into the new government. It’s actually quite smart if you think about it.”
I was impressed that he picked up on it so quickly. “Do you want a gold medal for getting it right?” I questioned, a faint smile tugging at my lips. Wonwoo shook his head, he was only happy that he had gotten it correct.
Seungcheol, once he heard this, looked to me, his brows scrunched together in deep thought. “Then what are you waiting for?” He asked. I looked to Hoseok, who had already been staring at me. He nodded in approval to tell the group what your plans were.
“Well, we’re going to break three of our members out of the mental hospital first. We’re not going to go ahead with any plans unless everyone is together.” It was cheesy, but you meant it. The Clan was my family, and I wasn’t going to leave any of them behind.
Seungcheol glanced over to the members of his group, where they nodded in response to his glances. He turned back to face us, his mouth spread into a smile. “Do you need some help breaking them out? We have bombs.” He said it so nonchalantly, as if it was a minor fact.
Changkyun sat up straighter at the mention of the dangerous weapon. “Bombs? Real, actual, I could destroy a building, bombs?” He slurred his words excitedly. The other men nodded in unison.
Bombs. That’s something we had never had the chance of creating. “If you’d be willing to form an alliance, we’d be delighted. At this point, we need as many allies as we can get.” I told them, happy that they’d be willing to combine forces.
I looked out the dusty window, the sun was finally starting to set. I quickly shot up from my place on the couch and looked around the room. “I have to get going before Kang starts to wonder where I am. It was nice meeting all of you.”
Hoseok glanced up, “Want me to come with you?” He asked quietly.
I took a deep breath, I moved my gaze to Kihyun, who was staring between the two of us, a frown set on his face. I looked back to Hoseok and nodded my head, “Please,” I whispered. Hoseok nodded once and got up from the dirty couch.
As the two of us were leaving, I could feel Kihyun’s eyes burning holes into my back.

[Fulfilled] Precious Piece of Crystal
Prompt: Fluff and cozy like a cup of chocolate when hyungs adore changkyun a lot and treasure him like a precious piece of crystal
Fulfilled by Moderator ReeLee~
Words: 601
AO3 Link
Changkyun releases a shuddering breath, clenching the sides of the sink so tightly his knuckles whiten in the shitty lighting. He sniffles, tears stinging at the corners of his eyes. Memories flash before his eyes of the old days, before he secured himself a debut among men who hated him. He'd had friends he was meant to debut with, but then the group was dissolved before they were even given a chance...
"Kkungie!" Kihyun calls through the wooden door, his voice muffled by the wood. Changkyun quickly wipes at his face, shoving such thoughts away. "Kkungie, did you want to come to the living room? We're about to order dinner..." Changkyun gives a noncommittal hum, studying his own reflection in the warped glass.
Dammit, it's obvious he's been crying. Now the others will be worried for him, worry just to be added onto the heaps of stress his hyungs already have on a general basis about their daily lives. The thought just makes guilt clog up his throat, and he feels even worse about himself than he already had.
"I don't think they should've been so hard on him," Hoseok pouts, glaring defensively at the television. Hyungwon cuddles into his side, nodding in agreement. "He was working hard. He's just so exhausted that he couldn't focus... If anything, that's the company's fault, not his."
"We should order whatever he wants tonight," Minhyuk interjects, earning a hum of approval from the others. "Even if it's sushi."
Changkyun shuffles into the room then, seemingly in a daze. He slumps onto the sectional, his gaze blank and vacant as he nestles himself in between Hyunwoo and Jooheon. Kihyun sits beside Minhyuk, sharing a knowing look with his same-age friend. Minhyuk wordlessly leaves, pulling his phone from his pocket to place the biggest order of different sushi he can manage. Kihyun scoots over to fill the empty place, squishing Jooheon against the maknae.
The older rapper takes the cue to lie down and use Changkyun's lap as a pillow, while Hyunwoo wraps a muscular arm around the maknae's shoulders, and Changkyun can't help but lean against his warm torso, needing the comfort right now more than anything.
After a filling dinner of the most delicious yet surprising amount of sushi Changkyun has had since leaving his parents' home, the maknae finds himself surrounded by all his hyungs. They all seem to try and touch him in some way, Hyungwon and Kihyun even sitting on the floor in front of him to lean close to his outstretched arm. Changyun himself is lying down, having traded positions with Jooheon and using his ample thighs for a pillow. Hyunwoo pets his legs gently as they look for something to watch, Minhyuk's fingers carding through his hair while Hoseok even gives him a foot massage.
The maknae finds himself smiling for the first time all day, the love of his hyungs filling him up with warmth. He wonders what he's done to earn such a wonderful life, considering how shitty things had been for him until after debut...
As if hearing his thoughts, Hyungwon glances back at him. An affectionate smile graces his lips, and he leans towards Changkyun's hand. He presses a kiss to the younger's palm, and then moves close enough to where his hair is pressed against the man's arm.
Changkyun's smile only grows, his eyes falling shut in exhaustion. It's been a hard week, filled with practices and performances and more practices, but he finally feels at ease now. He can finally rest, and dreams of days with his boyfriends.
What a beautiful, beautiful dream...

Sunday Mornings
My first ever fanfic on this account! Let me know what you guys think! Credits to the gif owner! <3
Requested by @michabrielle I hope you enjoy it! :)
Pairing: Wonkyun (Wonho x Changkyun/I.M) Genre: Fluff, cooking and more Fluff Word Count: 1.8k Words Summary: When Changkyun has the day off, and decides to make breakfast for his boyfriend, Hoseok.
The sunlight poured into the bedroom, making the small space glow in tendrils of shimmering gold. Changkyun woke up slowly, his eyes fluttering open as the sunlight glowed directly on his face. Once his sight adjusted, his gaze fell onto the sleeping figure beside him.
Curled into the pillow, one arm hugging Changkyun’s waist loosely, was his boyfriend. Don’t be deceived by his large stature: His boyfriend, a handsome-faced giant by the name of Hoseok, was the epitome of a snuggle bug, face smooshed as he danced in dreamland.
Changkyun hummed as he took in the creases on his boyfriend’s brow as he slept, his lips pursed as he exhaled softly through his mouth. His blonde hair practically covered his features, making him look even more adorable. Changkyun cooed internally, secretly loving the sight as he brushed the stray locks from Hoseok’s face.
Pulling away, Changkyun decided to let his boyfriend sleep instead of ogling the entire morning. With a yawn, he stood up and went to the bathroom to wash up. He used the bathroom, brushed his teeth and washed his face, glancing at his reflection with a hum.
Hoseok liked to tell the younger that he was beautiful, that he loved everything about Changkyun. Changkyun blushed at the thought, seeing the redness bloom on his reflection as he looked over his face curiously. He sometimes wondered what Hoseok saw in him, but frankly didn’t care too much about how he looked. If they were happy together, he had no reason to change something that didn’t need to be fixed.
Once he washed up, he checked on Hoseok, smiling as he found the male still fast asleep. Putting on his slippers, Changkyun grabbed his phone and tiptoed into the kitchen.
Usually, they would never spend the morning together. Hoseok worked as a fitness instructor at the nearby gym and worked crazy hours, just because he loved what he did. Changkyun worked part-time as a tutor, while he worked as a cashier in a bookstore. He found jobs hard to commit to, but he liked his 2 jobs. They brought him simple joys, of helping people with schoolwork and bringing someone happiness through reading.
Today was Sunday, and Changkyun was free to do whatever he wanted today. The bookstore was fully staffed and no one wanted to be tutored on the weekend. He wasn’t sure of Hoseok’s schedule, but considering he was passed out, he assumed his boyfriend was off or was doing a night shift.
Since he was in such a good mood, and he would get to spend some time with his boyfriend, he decided to try something he’s never done before to celebrate.
He was going to make breakfast.
He walked over to the fridge and grabbed some ingredients. He placed milk, a carton of eggs, butter, fruit, flour, jam and bread onto the counter. With a hum, he grabbed protein powder and syrup, then stared at his ingredients.
He had watched Hoseok cook breakfast tons of times before to know how to make eggs and home-made pancakes. Taking a deep breath, he cracked some eggs into a bowl and stirred the yolk, placing some milk into the bowl to make the eggs fluffy. (Hoseok loved fluffy eggs.)
Once the yolks were stirred, he placed an empty frying pan on the stove and turned on the flame. While the pan warmed up, he turned on his IPod, soft hip-hop filling the air as he cut some fruits to the beat.
He had read online that you could make protein shake smoothies, wondering if Hoseok would like it. He chopped strawberries, bananas, kiwis, blueberries, some avocado and some peanut butter into the blender with some milk and the powder. He had no idea if this would work, a knot of nervousness filling his stomach, but he clicked blend and turned back to focus on the eggs.
The pan was warm enough. With a hum, he placed the egg yolks onto the pan with some butter, letting them cook as he rinsed out a bowl, getting ready to make pancakes. He wiped at his brow. Cooking was tough.
Hoseok always made it look so effortless, his eyes glittering and his smile bright as he would chat while making all kinds of amazing meals and drinks in the blink of an eye. Changkyun bit his lips. He was never really good at anything, especially when it came to cooking, so Hoseok always had to cook for him. He wanted to do something right, even if it was just making food in the morning.
Nodding in determination, the brunette poured a decent amount of flour into a bowl, then splashed some milk on top. He wasn’t sure if the batter was supposed to look like clay, or soup, so he decided for the soupy approach. Humming as he mixed, he smiled to himself. This was gonna be the best breakfast ever.
Warming up a large pan alongside the eggs, Changkyun took a spatula and poured small scoops of batter onto the pan with a hum. He planned on making small pancakes, to stack them and so they wouldn’t be too large. He flipped the eggs, biting his lip in concentration.
Suddenly, everything went downhill, as quick as lightening.
He flipped the egg and to his horror, they were completely burned on the bottom. Cursing his luck, he tried to save whatever fluffy goodness he could, before pouring more egg yolk into the pan, attempting to start over.
However, as soon as the eggs hit the pan, the blender began to shake. Changyun had forgotten to take out the smoothie. With a grunt, he held down the top while fiddling with the settings, hoping to keep the smoothie inside and turn off the machine.
But fate was unkind, as the speed somehow went up faster, spilling the smoothie all over the floor, the counter, and Changkyun himself. Cursing, he ripped out the cord for the blender, sighing as he felt smoothie in his hair and all over his clothes. What else could possibly go wrong?
He walked over to the pancakes, or they should be called, puddles. He had put too much milk into the batter, making them too watery to rise. He tried to flip them, only for the puddle to just cave into itself and stick to the pan.
Turning off the stove and stepping away, he looked over the mess he created with a frustrated curse. The scent of burned food, with the hint of fruit and peanut butter, filled the air. Changkyun sighed, slowly moving to clean the stove and the sink. He couldn’t even make something as simple as eggs, or a smoothie, or a basic pancake. He really couldn’t do anything right.
“Need some help?”
Nearly jumping out of his skin, Changkyun looked up to see Hoseok leaning against the doorframe of the kitchen, a soft smile on his lips. His hair was a messy flop on his head and his eyes were swollen from sleep, but he still made Changkyun’s heart flutter in his chest.
“I-I… um…” Changkyun stuttered, running a hand through his hair before going back to cleaning. “I tried to make you breakfast, but everything is ruined so… we can go out to eat, if you want…”
He braced himself for laughter, or for Hoseok to chide him and leave him to clean. The last thing Changkyun expected, was for his boyfriend to cup his cheeks and give him the sweetest of pecks on his lips. He tasted of mint, his lips plush as they moved as one, simple and soft.
Pulling away slightly, he caressed the brunette’s cheeks. “Thank you, for wanting to do this for me. I’ve never had someone make me breakfast before. It makes me feel so special. Thank you, Changkyunie.”
Changkyun huffed and rolled his eyes, secretly loving the pet name. Wiping off the counter, he hummed. “You didn’t even get to try anything, so you don’t have to- Hey! Don’t eat that!”
He glanced up to find Hoseok dipping his finger into the blender, licking at the leftover smoothie with a smile. “Why? You made it for me. I can have as much of this delicious smoothie as I want.”
Changkyun opened his mouth to retort, but blinked in surprise. Delicious?
He watched as Hoseok poured the smoothie into a cup from the blender, sipping at it with a content smack of his lips. “This is so good! I usually only put berries and milk into my shakes. The peanut butter was a good addition, along with the banana.”
Changkyun blushed at the praise, scraping the pans clean as Hoseok picked at the eggs with a smile. He found a golden piece with a hint of black, chewing on it with a happy smile. “These are so fluffy! My eggs are always flat. What did you put in it?”
“Milk…” Changkyun muttered, sneaking a peek at his boyfriend shyly. He couldn’t tell if his boyfriend was messing with him, or if he was genuine about the food.
Hoseok nodded, sipping his smoothie picked the smoothie from Changkyun’s hair, then wiped at the younger’s stained clothing with a wet rag. “You’re a really good chef. Even when you make messes, you make the most beautiful messes.”
Changkyun blushed, then rolled his eyes, his trademark habit. “That sounds dirty, coming from an old man like you.”
“Old?” Hoseok whispered, then laughed as he massaged the brunette’s tummy with his fingertips, kissing the younger’s face tenderly. “You love this sexy, old man.”
“Maybe. Depends on the day.” Changkyun scrubbed at the pans, trying to ignore the flush on his neck.
“It’s Sunday and I’m off today.” Hoseok placed his large hands over his lover’s, stopping Changkyun’s movements as he smiled. “Since we’re both off, I’ll help you make breakfast, then we can cuddle and have a pillow fight in the living room.”
“Fluffy and violent, huh?” Chankgyun raised an eyebrow.
“Just the way you like it.” Hoseok grinned, showing off his gummy smile and the charming curves of his eyes.
Changkyun couldn’t resist. “Fine, but we’re watching all of the Pokemon movies and I get to tackle you first in the pillow fight.”
“Deal. I’m already gonna win.” Hoseok laughed as Changkyun headbutted his chest, the older hugging his boyfriend close and kissing him lovingly.
It’s true that Changkyun was different than his boyfriend. But Hoseok made up for what he couldn’t do, and vice versa.
Days like these, when they cooked, threw food and pillows at each other, and shared quiet kisses on the couch, are when they loved each other the most. When they were together, hand in hand, laughing and playing the day away. It was truly a perfect day.
Maybe they should take Sundays off more often.

Changing Seasons At The Army Base
Character: Sooyoung (SNSD) Word count: 2023 Summary: While volunteering for the army, Sooyoung finds herself drawn to a lonely soldier | #fluff
a/n: I hope this is what you were looking for! And I chose Sooyoung since there’s not enough Sooyoung around :/
Though the winter had been long, the first signs of the season changing began to bloom, the days getting longer, air less bitter, flowers beginning to sprout. Spring was coming. And this was a Spring unlike any other that Sooyoung had experienced, as it was the season when Sooyoung met you.
She hadn't noticed you at first, keeping to yourself and sticking to the shadows. Her and the other Girls Generation girls had volunteered for the Army, not only for publicity purposes, but to also help those protecting their country. It was something that Sooyoung aimed to do with pride, head held high no matter what her job was. Fetch water? Sure. Make coffee? No problem. Her jobs were mainly assistance type, due to her lack of training. But she didn't care. Even just quenching the thirst of hard working soldiers was enough for her.
"This is boring," Hyoyeon sighs, stacking boxes on top of one another. She had to transport them to another room, at the other end of the building, but why? What did it matter? They would still be boxes, just in a different room. "We've done nothing but unimportant things. It's boring."
"Don't think like that," Sooyoung says. The two had been paired together to move the boxes, the other girls tasked with cleaning up the kitchen. "These people are keeping us safe. You should be grateful to be around them." She was very respectful to those that worked hard and to her seniors. No matter how famous she got, Sooyoung's head remained normal sized. Respecting those above you was how she had been raised and she didn't plan on ever forgetting that.
With a sigh, Hyoyeon followed after Sooyoung as they both marched to the other storage room. They passed by a lonesome soldier, sipping coffee in the hallway, just outside the eating quarters. By the time they dropped the boxes off and were making their way back, that soldier was gone.
"I wonder how the girls are doing," Sooyoung wonders. Her and Hyoyeon paused at the kitchen entrance, immediately spotting Taeyeon who was smiling politely in the midst of a group of male soldiers, looking like she wanted to be anywhere but there. Next to this group was the same soldier who had been alone, you, and you were still alone. The table looked so much bigger when only one person was sat at it.
While laughing at Taeyeon's pain, both women hurried back to their task. As they passed once again with arms full of boxes, Sooyoung peaked in but didn't have the time to spot you. It was only when they came back, that she could look in properly. You were still sitting by yourself.
"Do you want to take a break?" Sooyoung asks and before she had finished the sentence, Hyoyeon is nodding and dragging her into the semi-busy canteen.
A few of the male soldiers perk up, whistling and waving at the famous beauties. One soldier even started to chant the lyrics to "Gee." Hyoyeon plays along, doing the dance and earning herself a round of applause. But Sooyoung carries on, eyes lingering on you as you stirred a spoon through another cup of coffee.
"Hey!" Tiffany greets, hunched over as she wiped a table clean. "Are you guys done?"
"No, just taking a break! Where are the others?"
"Ah, they were given another job. So it's just me and Seohyun left."
"Oh."
"Do you want something? There's still some leftovers in the kitchen and tea or coffee can be got there, by the water fountain."
"I see them now, thank you, I'm just going to get some tea." But Sooyoung quickly finds out that her favourite tea was sold out and instead settles for coffee, the cheap kind that made her heart race, but it was better than nothing. Without a second thought, she sits at your table.
You look up in shock.
An idol had just sat across from you. And not just any idol, but a member of Girls Generation, pioneers for following girl groups, queens of performing and variety shows. But more than that, it was your bias. The camera's did no justice to her beauty, you thought, but it was just as well. Seeing someone so beautiful made your stomach do flips, so maybe it was good that camera's couldn't convey that. Otherwise, audiences would be unable to handle her beauty.
"Hey," Sooyoung greets casually, crossing her legs. "What's your name?" She doesn't bother to introduce herself. If your awe struck look is anything to go by, you already know who she is.
"Y/N."
"Why are you all alone?"
Your brows draw together, hand motioning to your mouth. "Not good," you hesitate, "Bad Korean." You struggled to connect with soldiers, unable to express yourself or even understand their jokes. This left you feeling isolated, no one to talk to after hours of training.
Sooyoung's face lights up in understanding. "Oh, so that's why you're alone! Would you like some help with your Korean?" She was no teacher by any means but she could try, for a soldier and for a person who looked so lonely.
"Really? You sure?"
"Sure! I'm sure Hyoyeon won't mind covering for me anyway."
Hyoyeon, on her third performance and currently showing off the choreo of "Run Devil Run" to impressed soldiers, stopped.
"What?"
A day was not enough to become fluent in a language but at least you better understood the difference between formal and informal language, something necessary in general but especially in the army. Speaking informally to the wrong superior may just leave you in hot water.
"Thank you," you say formally. "I really appreciate your help today."
"There's no need for formalities," Sooyoung says, pushing the many empty cups aside to pat your hand in a friendly manner. "We're friends now, right? So you can use informal language with me."
The canteen was entirely empty, everyone having left at some point or another during Sooyoung's impromptu lesson. So when the door slammed open, you and her flinched.
"Yah, there you are!" Sunny stomped in, wiping sweat off her brow. "We searched everywhere for you, c'mon, we're going now!"
Sooyoung says her goodbye to you and follows after her unnie, leaving you to watch her retreating figure in awe. What a beautiful woman, both inside and out.
Spring transitioned to Autumn in what felt like the blink of an eye. Leaves turned orange and yellow and fell to the floor, on top of dying flowers and puddles. Rain came frequently this Autumn, starting off mild but growing more frigid as time passed. Winter now felt just around the corner.
The rain peppered down onto the army base, turned the mud into sludge as you crawled through it, head ducked to avoid the net above you. Your fellow soldiers were on either side of you, in the same position as you. Commands were being yelled and for once, you understood them.
"Seunghyun, duck down more!"
"Y/N, use your legs to push yourself forward, not just arms, you'll move faster!"
"Changyun, pick up the pace!"
By the time the drill had ended, mud had caked on your clothes and a mixture of sweat and rain ensured your hair was stuck to you in the most uncomfortable manner. None of that bothered you as much as Sooyoung seeing you like this but you didn't know why. No, that was a lie, you did know. You thought she was the greatest miracle to walk the Earth. However, you were a soldier, you looked this horrible quite often. Sooyoung knew this. So why did your appearance matter so much then?
Once again, you knew the answer.
You tried to rush past the soldiers you had trained with, to get into the shower first and meet up with Sooyoung before she finished for the day, while looking clean. They shouted after you, playfully cursing and whipping their towels at you. A half hour later, you were squeaky clean and walking the halls of the barracks, hoping to catch sight of Sooyoung or at least her friends.
But they saw you before you saw them.
"Ah, Y/N!"
You jumped in surprise, turning on your heel.
Yoona was propping a mop and bucket against the wall, to be able to talk to you properly. "Are you looking for Sooyoung?"
For some reason, her question made you blush. "Y - yes."
"She said she's waiting for you where you both met. She said you would know where that was." You thanked her and rushed off, unaware of her growing smile as you leave. "Aish, so cute," she mumbles to herself.
In the canteen, Sooyoung sat at the table she had first spoken to you. A group of soldiers sat on either side of her, one of the female soldiers trying to engage her in conversation. "Noona, do you want to sit with us?"
"No, thank you, I'm waiting for someone." You hear her reply, before she catches sight of you coming closer. "Ah, here they are!"
You sat across from her, painfully aware of the soldiers that watched in envy at you sitting so casually with her. Many soldiers had tried to pry information out of you, like her phone number or if you had been intimate. It seemed like your friendship was the talk of the base.
"I got you some green tea, since it's healthier than the coal-like coffee you always drink. But," she looks into the cup dejectedly, sliding it across the table to you, "it's ice cold now."
"It's fine, I'll drink it deliciously regardless. Thank you."
"Your Korean is getting better!"
"Thank you. A soldier I'm bunked with is also helping me so my Korean has come a long way."
She wasn't sure why, but that upset her. She was your teacher, the one who had made an effort to befriend you when you were all alone. Who did that soldier think they were? But pushing that aside, she instead smiles.
"How was training?"
Small talk is exchanged, time passing by quicker than either of you would like. Once again, you're both the last two in the canteen. And it's almost time for her to leave.
"You know, I'm almost done volunteering," she tells you.
"Oh?" Your heart sunk.
"Yeah. We've got a new comeback in a few weeks so we have to focus on that now. I really enjoyed volunteering here though. And getting to know you. But just because I'm leaving soon, doesn't mean that we can never talk again."
Your shoulders had slumped at her news but now they picked up, back straightening to attention. "We can still be friends?"
"No. I don't want to be friends anymore. Check the bottom of your cup."
You lift the Styrofoam cup and spot a phone number scrawled on the bottom.
"Call me sometime. But only if it's for a date. I'm going to hang up if you want me to come back here and just sweep floors. And a word of advice: I like Italian food."
The door slammed open again, another one of her members marching in. "Sooyoung unnie, our shift is over! Are you coming?" Patiently, Seohyun waits by the door as Sooyoung gets to her feet, shooting you a quick wink before following after her.
You stare once more at her phone number, wondering how everything had led to this. A year ago, you would never have imagined that something like this would happen. Yet here you were, staring at the number of Sooyoung, no doubt the most amazing woman you've ever met.
The door slammed open again.
"There you are! You said you would come by at five, remember? You need to improve your pronunciation!" Your bunk mate was tapping his foot, waving his wrist in the air that his watch was strapped to. "Do you know what time it is now, do you? Wait," he looks around, "you were just sitting here? All alone? Is something up?"
"No, no, everything's fine," you say, standing up, "Everything's great actually. Hey, do you know any good Italian restaurants nearby?"

↬ NEW RELEASE: 'skate into my heart' (2023) by zanna !
//
