beautiful names for women
im sharing my list of original & multicultural names that i found & like, for the female characters in the books i write. I thought it could help some other writers :) There are plenty of different origins and meanings, so that you could find one that fit a character's ethnicity and essence. I love short names a little bit too much, so its mainly one or two syllables here.

Much like #KamalaHarris, As a person who's first name, Kellea, is also jacked up on a regular, by both people I've known for years and new people I meet who don't even try, I truly appreciate this #infographic from @anpulondon, it's disrespectful to continue to mispronounce our names or to try to give us a nickname we didn't ask for #PleaseAndThankYou #EthnicNames #SayMyName https://www.instagram.com/p/CGjQ2aRhVi8/?igshid=gd9jfw7l1msm

Roofer John Doe’s shooting of Mr Ethnicname was found to be justified by the Council of Roofers after it was discovered Mr Ethnicname was standing within 100 metres of Doe’s ladder. “I thought he was going to push it over when I climbed down,” said Doe.
“He was just doing his job,” said one bystander. “He totally deserved six weeks paid leave during the investigation.” “I set up a Gofundme for Mr Doe,” said another.
Inconclusive grainy footage of a man of vaguely the same ethnicity as Mr Ethnicname holding a ladder in Home Depot was used as justification by the Council.
A reminder that being a police officer in the U.S. is one of the safest jobs in the world. They’re not risking their own lives, only the lives of others by being cops.

My Name
Nomgqibelo Ncamisile Mnqhibisa
Look what they have done to my name……..
the wonderful name of my great-great-grandmother
Nomgqibelo Ncamisile Mnqhibisa
The burly bureaucrat was surprised
What he heard was music to his ears
‘Wat is daai, se nou weer?’
‘I am from Chief Daluxo Velayigodle of emalu podweni
And my name is Nomgqibelo Ncamisile Mnqhibisa.’
Messia, help me !
My name is simple
And yet so meaningful
But to this man it is trash…..
He gives me a name
Convenient enough to answer his whim…..
I end up being
Maria…..
I…………..

WUDS - What's In A Name

Although I’m madly in love with biblical names, I refuse to give my children [English] names because in our country, it’s a reminder of the evils of Apartheid, such as Bantu education
His name is actually Rolihlahla Mandela. Nelson was just his ‘school name’. Kinda like, ‘to show I’m educated to get a job’, kinda name. Kinda like, ‘you don’t have to bother learning my real name, because I’m not important’ kind of name.
