I recently completed a data science course, and I'm looking to work from home in that field. I'm using multiple monitors, cloud services, and lots of video calls.

I have two problems I'd like to beg your assistance on, one specific and one general:

I have shitty Time Warner Cable wifi. My laptop does not have an ethernet port. How can I make my wifi connection stronger?

How can I assess whether a source offering tech advice is trustworthy or not? Alternatively, what are your go-to trusted sources?

I gotta go back to living in my cave and not having enough knowledge to realize Axl is not good. I was happier. I was telling people Axl was underrated and just tricky to make effective. my mom's trying to buy me a new laptop now but like. its so hard to find any laptops that fit my needs that aren't a couple thousand bucks :(

#so many budget laptops are total shit #like... tiny screens. zero ports outside of a headphone jack and MAYBE a singular usb port. no disc drive. basically zero storage space.#poor processing power. insanely fragile. sleek design at the cost of function.#meanwhile.. my 7 year old laptop costed my family like.. $300 tops? and it runs better than my school's laptops that costed the same #it has a disc drive and and headphone jack and 3 usb ports plus hdmi and ethernet ports. also a touchscreen #the display is probably about 17 inches and it has about 900gb of space total. the graphics are lacking but it makes up for it #the school laptop has better graphics but that's literally the only thing it's got going for it :/#its difficult to find anything new that's both decent and NOT $2000. it sucks.
