This has been loitering in my inbox for literal months and I kept forgetting about it, but I decided I might as well finally answer it!! Let's talk about Odynia, my aasimar vengeance paladin for an upcoming campaign, because I need to work on developing her.

She traded her eye to Nemesis, the goddess of divine retribution, so that Nemesis could see through her eye and check up on the mortal plane. The scar on her face is NOT from that exchange, but rather from when her sibling tried to cut Nemesis's magic out of her face.

She currently works as a bodyguard for the twin heirs of a noble household dedicated to Ares (those twins being two of the other PCs). She took the job for her own personal reasons (vengeance-related), and doesn't exactly like it...

Despite this, she's extremely dedicated to her job, and puts her work over most other things in life. She has a fearsome reputation, and at this point her mere presence is enough to deter most attempts on Adonia's life.

She can summon black feathered wings for a short period of time each day, but rarely does so, as she prefers to keep her aasimar powers a secret. However, she was forced to do so to rescue her charge, Adonia, from attempted kidnappers. Both of them swore to never talk about it again, and certainly not to tell Adonia's twin, Apate.

Her full name is Odynia Adrasteia Erinys. Odynia is a name I made up (as far as I can tell) derived from Greek roots meaning pain. Adrasteia was another name for Nemesis and means "the inescapable". Erinys was also related to Nemesis, and also similar to the Greek name for the Furies: Erinyes. So her name more or less translates to "inescapable pain/grief/suffering".

Nope. But one day I will.

Sometimes I'm quite sarcastic and ironic. But I can only allow myself to behave this way with friends who know me well.

What sports do you play/have you played?

I prefer to go to the gym, although as a child I used to go to the swimming pool and karate class.

What’s the first thing you notice about other people?

This is going to sound weird, but those are teeth. Perhaps because as a child I myself had problems with my teeth and had a lot of complexes about this. Although most often I pay attention to human behavior.

Favorite books: All by Carlos Castaneda, Florinda Donner and Taisha Abelar. But probably "Being-in-Dreaming: An Initiation into the Sorcerers" by Florinda Donner and "The Art of Dreaming" by Castaneda are my the most favorite.

Favorite TV show(s): Um... "Our Flag Means Death" I fancied a lot recently. So sad there will be no more than 2 Seasons. But my top of the top is "And Then There Were None" (2015) it soothes me all the time I need to relax :D

Hmm, bc I recently answered another bunch of these ones in the way I was supposed to, I feel like switching up this time. So, instead of 5 facts for one OC, it'll be one fact for 5 OC's!

A bigger subset of his viewers/followers believe he's had plastic surgery, although he did never got anything done. He contributes his good looks to his vegan diet and "a little bit of eyeliner".

Spends too much time reading fanfiction, especially the ones about her favorite anime and manga. They are essential for her mental wellbeing to mend her broken heart after agonizing events that happen in those damned universes!

Music is not really an important part in his life. While he does listen to music every now and then, he doesn't much seek it out on his own nor tries to expand his horizon. The stuff that's playing on the radio & popular on charts usually is enough for him.

Whenever she happens to get into a relationship, it mostly doesn't end well (usually for the other person, and also for their own peace of mind). For example, she (although, accidentally) once sliced open half of the face of one of her exes while throwing glassware against them during an argument.

Though he does actually tick all of the boxes (music preferences, dressing style, gloomy worldviews, etc...), Vale does NOT consider himself goth or part of the subculture. If someone asks him anything going into this question direction, he immediately denies it.
