Blood: What is Etharah's relationship with blood? Do they share, shy away, or just push away the topic all together? What happens when Ethan gets a scrape or nose bleed? Swap: Who's a Vampire? Who's a human? This prompt asks you to play with their supernatural roles! Ethans as a vampire and Sarahs as a human? Both of them are humans? Vampires? It's all up to you!

Etharah Week 2023 Fanfic: Chapter 2

Sarah entered Ethan’s house again in the late afternoon, this time with packed bags.

“This weekend is gonna be so awesome!” Jane said from the hallway, “We can stay up late and watch slasher movies, and eat popcorn!”

“Just because I’m house sitting for the weekend doesn’t mean I’m gonna let you stay up all night,” Sarah told her.

Jane frowned and crossed her arms.

“Okay, I’ll let you pick out the movie, just as long as you don’t tell your parents.”

“Yes! Let's go pick something out now!” She said with a smile, punching her arms in the air.

Benny then entered the house from behind Sarah, holding a box of microwave popcorn and a bottle of soda.

"It's gonna be a fun weekend! Like one big sleepover!" He said.

"Who said you were also staying over for the weekend?" Sarah asked in a sarcastic tone.

"I thought we were all hanging out this weekend while Ethan's parents visit his aunt in the hospital, they invited us!" Benny said.

"Well they only invited me," Sarah responded, as they walked to the kitchen, placing his items and her bags in the kitchen on the island table.

"Can we please go now!" Jane asked as she straggled behind them.

“We’ll go soon. Where’s Ethan?”

“Being weird in his room again,” Jane answered. 

Sarah and Benny went up to Ethan’s bedroom and peered from behind the door frame, looking around to find him huddled over his desk.

“What are you doing?”

“I don’t trust that phone call,” He said, flipping through a dusty book. There was a pile of similarly old-bound books stacked next to him, seeming like he intended for a long search to occur.

“What’s not to trust? There was a family emergency, your mom asked me and Benny’s grandma to watch over you guys until they get back on Monday,” Benny assured him.

“You said it yourself! They sure seem to disappear quite often, usually because something’s going on. It’s not like them to behave this way.” He kept flipping through his book. Benny entered his room and sat down next to him.

“Well while you figure out what’s wrong, Jane and I are gonna go pick out a movie,” Sarah said.

She waited for that moment to see if he would look back at her, but that moment never seemed to arrive.

It was clear that the constant monster hunting and fighting had started to take a toll on everyone’s mind. Sarah wasn't one to doubt Ethan and his instincts - at least not anymore - since quite literally had a gift for sensing when the supernatural was at play, but she found herself going back to that doubt again as she walked down the street with Jane on their way back from the video store. Jane had picked out something with the words “reckoning” in it and was ranting about her friends and school. Sarah listened and nodded her head, and continued to do so at the house when Benny went on and on about his current attempt to master the spell of making food appear out of thin air. Ethan came back down and appeared jovial with Benny, but she could tell he still had their problem on his mind.

“Don’t you think it’s weird they would just leave town without more than just a phone call? Maybe to pack a bag or something?”

“That is kind of weird,” Benny said. The two of them were huddled around the microwave, the bag of popcorn spinning around inside.

“If only we could listen back to that call…” Ethan said.

Jane and Sarah came into the kitchen, giggling about her recent obsession with ghost movies.

“I heard this movie is so scary that it actually haunts the people who watch it!” She shouted with joy, which amused and perplexed them all as she skipped into the living room with the film in hand.

“We’ll be the judge of that!” Ethan shouted out as he followed behind her, Benny by his side.

As the microwave beeped and Sarah was pouring the bag's contents into a bowl, Erica stormed into the kitchen through the back door.

“I can’t believe you!” She huffed, Rory quick to follow behind her.

“How was I supposed to know I accidentally picked mother squirrel?” Rory said in a defensive tone, then noticing the popcorn and grabbing it from the counter.

“I cannot go hunting with him anymore. If I was human, I’d be covered in tiny little squirrel scratches right now!” She said, crossing her arms.

“Well... she’s mean to her victims!” Rory shouted as he shoveled popcorn into his mouth, now standing next to Sarah.

“It’s not like I’m talking to them to be their friend!”

“You could be a little more polite.”

“I really can’t.”

“Where’s the popcorn?” Ethan said as he walked in, seeing the three vampires huddled in the kitchen.

“Erica, Rory! You guys here to watch Jane’s ghost movie?” He asked.

“Ghost movie? I’m in!” Rory exclaimed, running to the living room with the popcorn bowl still in hand.

“Sarah, we can go to your pickup spot now if you want,” Erica asked her.

“Did you already eat?”

“Yeah, but I’ll go with you.”

“It’s okay, I can go by myself,” Sarah said, grabbing her jacket.

“You already know we’re not supposed to go by ourselves,” Erica reminded her.

Ethan watched as Sarah put on her jacket and debated with Erica. There was a pull he felt to her as she headed for the door. This feeling in his chest that formed as her arm reached for the doorknob and she stepped out of frame.

“I can go with her! For protection…” Ethan said, reaching for his jacket as well. Erica snorted, getting a light punch from Sarah on the shoulder.

“Are you sure? You can stay here and start the movie. I’ll be back soon,” She said, unable to hide the light smile that formed on her face.

“It’s okay. We’ll let Erica play babysitter tonight,” He said as he quickly put on his jacket.

“You mean I have to watch them? And make sure they don’t get into any trouble?” Erica said, a state of worry washing over all her facial expressions.

“We’ll be back in 10 minutes,” Sarah said, “Just keep them all away from fire.”

“Very funny!” Erica called to them as they dashed out the door.

“She’s not joking,” Ethan said before closing the door behind him.

Eternal Love Chapter 3: The Uncommon Cold

Still completely behind but I could not, not post today since this is the last day of Etharah week. While I'm still stuck on day 3 and will be behind for at least a little while take this chapter based on the prompt sick day. I really hope I can write faster when Rory week rolls around in several months' time. I'm totally ready to take part in it though alright here's the links it was fun taking part in my first Tumblr prompt week with the mbav fandom. Please let me know when we do something like this again cause I will be going all in. Alright here's the chapter summery and story links

Description: When Sarah comes down with a case of the uncommon cold, it's up to Ethan to take care of her while Benny and the others go on an (offscreen) quest to grab the ingredients for a healing potion. Though the biggest question should be, how does one go about taking care of a sick undead creature.

Etharah Week: Day One Dolls

Description: During a boring Evening Ethan invites Sarah to show her his action figure collection. Rambling about his interests ensures. Featuring Emily Jones who provides some snarky comments.

"They’re not dolls; they’re action figures." Ethan defended himself as he showed Sarah his collection. It was a mondain evening in the Morgen household; Jane was at her friend’s house for a sleepover, and Mrs. Weir was teaching Benny more advanced spells, leaving Ethan alone. With no one else to hang out with on this strangely calm evening, Ethan called Sarah, hoping she was free. And she was. Erica ditched her for some guy they met at the mall, and being alone just wasn’t appealing to her at the moment, so Sarah was grateful for Ethan’s invitation.

There really wasn’t a reason for her to be there since she wouldn’t be babysitting that week, but Ethan was one of her best friends. It’s not like either of them have many to turn to. Ethan being a social outcast and Sarah being a creature of the night makes it difficult to fit in with humans. At least Ethan and Dakota’s group understand what she’s going through. If she was being honest with herself, it was nice getting to know Ethan better considering they rarely get a moment of peace in this town. She didn’t even know how it happened. One moment they were chatting in the living room, the next they were heading upstairs to Ethan’s room to show her his doll- ahem, action figure collection.

"And this is a limited-edition Galaxia figure I got at Comic Con back in 08. I saved up my allowance for nearly a whole year to buy it."

"So, was it as expensive as the moon rocks you got or less then?" Emily pipped up who was sitting on the bed. She tagged along because Dakota and Mabel were on a date with Rory, so the young angel had nothing better to do besides tease the two relentlessly.

"Ummm." He hummed, "Actually, I think it was about the same price."

"Wow, talk about getting bang for your buck." Sarah laughed. It was cute seeing how passionate Ethan was about his collection, it reminded her of her own Dusk collection, which she and Erica used to spend years on. That was until she fell out of love with the series after the whole Jesse fiasco; she really couldn’t find it in herself to even look at a vampire romance novel anymore, let alone waste money on merchandise.

Gazing her eyes on the figurines from various franchises, Sarah’s eyes widened as she spotted a figure, she recognized.

"They made a Doug Falconhawk figure." She asked, picking the figure up careful not to break it. "I thought his show wasn’t popular enough."

"Oh no, I made that myself using broken figures I had lying around. He’s got Wolverine’s groin, but no figure had his iconic hair, so I sculpted that myself."

"That’s not sculpted, dude." Emily interrupted, "Sculpted hair is sculpted onto the model like precious moments or plastic toys that don’t have real hair. What you have is rooted hair, which is most common with Barbie dolls and their many rip-offs."

"Huh, I didn’t know there was a difference."

"Honestly, neither did I. Dakota and I were never big doll people, I wouldn’t have known the difference if it wasn’t for Rory and his hobby of digging up obscure and useless knowledge. Speaking of which, did Benny or Rory ever contribute to your collection?"

"Actually, they did." He smiled, grabbing a few figures off the shelf. "Benny got me this Stormtrooper figure shortly before the new Star Wars movie came out. He went to five stores and nearly had to order it on Amazon, but he managed to get the last one at a Hot Topic. I have no idea why it was there, but it meant a lot to me. And this figure Rory gave me for my 12th birthday He had a double at home and thought it’d be a good gift. I can’t say I’m as big of a fan of the show as he is, but it still looks pretty good. At the time, I thought about giving it back, but Mom said that’d make me look ungrateful, and again, he already had the same figure, so I just kept it. He was really happy to see it on my shelf."

"Wow, Eth, I gotta admit, this is quite the collection you’ve got here." Emily admired,

"I haven’t even shown you the best part." He smiled extremely pleased, Sarah and Emily were impressed, as he pulled down a prototype robot that was still in its box.

"This is Robot Robert; this was a prototype I bought on E-bay at a pretty fair price. He was a part of a cancelled toy line from a children’s cartoon I loved as a kid." The seer explained excitedly, "I’m pretty sure I’m one of the few people in the world that have it. I’m thinking of reselling it in a few years when its value goes up. This is one lost media the community would go crazy for. I can see the YouTube videos on it now."

"That’s really cute." Sarah giggled, "It gives your room a personal touch; I like it."

"Thanks, I enjoyed showing it to you." He grinned shyly, feeling a little embarrassed that he had rambled about his nerdy doll collection for over twenty minutes.

"Um, I hate to interrupt this relaxing showcase, but we've got to go." Emily said in alarm,

"What why?" Sarah asked, having a feeling it was supernatural related,

"I just got a text from Dakota; some slime monster crashed her date and is wreaking havoc downtown."

"Ugh, I knew there was something off about those chemistry class majors." Sarah groaned,

"We need to go now. Emily, get your group together and try to save as many people as you can. Sarah and I will grab Benny."

"I’m on it." She understood flying out the window.

"I’ll grab my jacket."

"Wait, hold on." Ethan said, grabbing Sarah’s wrist,

"What?"

"Well, what did you think? I know it might not be your thing, but did you at least enjoy my rambling?"

"Oh Ethan… I love it, it’s so you. Really, I think it’s cute that you’re so passionate about this stuff."

"Thanks, that means a ton coming from you. You know, maybe one day I can see your Dusk collection."

"You’d be interested in that?"

"Well, not one-hundred present. But I showed you my stuff, so fair is fair."

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I’ll see what I can do." She winked as Ethan chuckled.

"Hey guys." Emily said, knocking on the window, "I know you two want to do this kissy moment, but could you do it later and when you’re covered in slime?" It will have a way bigger impact. Oh, and also, the monster has grown in size and is coming this way. So, unless you want this town knee-deep in green slime or, ya know get eaten, I suggest you get a move on. Just a thought." She suggested and flew away.

The two nodded and hurriedly grabbed their things, but there was a promise that they’d show each other their growing collection again very soon.
