Capítulo 12: Scream Queens & Kings

A primeira coisa que sua mente lhe lembrou assim que despertou foi do beijo roubado de Richard que, nas palavras dele, era uma despedida apropriada para eles e Luke não podia ser hipócrita em dizer que não havia gostado, pra contrariar sua mente trouxe a selfie do tartosiano a superfície e o detetive se pegou rindo, ainda abraçado ao travesseiro, estava aliviado em acordar com aquele espiral de pensamentos do que os que vinha tendo. E mais uma vez, a sensação de que faltava algo voltou. Enquanto tomava banho, Luke pensava o que faria naquele dia começando com uma visita à Julia, que já acordara e estava estável, depois falaria com os policiais que acharam as supostas provas na casa onde Blake estava, que ainda estava desaparecido e consequentemente se tornara o foco da mídia como suposto ajudante do sádico Demetrius Troyer que bebia o sangue de suas vítimas, tentaria entrar em contato novamente com Dominic Ward e fazer mais perguntas sobre o caso dele com Troy e sua suposta presença no Tour do Terror em Forgotten Hollow na época em que seu primo estava presente, Luke se lembrava muito bem do pesadelo que o influenciador falara sobre estar sendo perseguido por uma cidade sinistra e se o detetive conseguisse resolver tudo sem chamar a atenção de Richard, ele terminaria com uma visita à Luca, que lhe mandara uma mensagem na madrugada dizendo que queria encontra-lo o quanto antes. E assim o ruivo começou seu dia, pensando na última parte como um prêmio.

Mesmo com as insistências dos repórteres em cima de Luca e Riccardo, eles preferiram terminar a faculdade no campus. Luca não dava mais entrevistas por sugestão de seu pai e advogado que ainda processavam Sierra, o tartosiano sempre dizia a mesma frase em tom dramático antes de entrar no carro, quando os repórteres corriam até ele: "Vocês saberão a minha versão, depois de lerem meu livro." Diferente de Riccardo que apenas os ignorava. Os noticiários só falavam da prisão de Demetrius Troyer e seu suposto ajudante Lionel Blake e o contraste de tudo isso, era o futuro livro que Luca tanto prometia.

…Com o fim do toque de recolher, Will pôde frequentar mais reuniões da Ordem do Encantamento, aprender mais a agradar os Espíritos e conhecer melhor os integrantes como Ruth, Lars, Myra e a recém chegada Regina, a qual Will se chocou ao saber. O líder, Reece Mayfield, tomou posse do antigo podcast de Blake, o qual implantou provas na casa colocando o antigo traje e a adaga de Esther, e começou a chama-lo de A Ordem do Encantamento e falava sobre segundas chances e recomeço, enquanto o verdadeiro criador continuava desaparecido e caçado pela polícia.

…O que pegou o detetive Luke de surpresa quando, depois de falar com Julia no hospital e certificar de que ela não se lembrava do rosto de seu algoz e também falar com os policiais que acharam as provas na casa onde Lionel estava, os quais afirmaram que Reece revelou que estava achando Lionel suspeito demais desde que o viu escondendo as coisas rápido quando ele chegava no dormitório que dividiam.

…Dominic respirava aliviado depois que entrara no táxi a caminho do aeroporto, onde pegou o jatinho de sua família e voltou para casa. Ele só não esperava que assim que pisasse os pés no Castelo de Windenburg, onde vivia, seu pai não o receberia com todo amor e carinho que imaginou. A preocupação de Dominic já não seria mais recuperar os patrocínios que perdera quando foi considerado suspeito no caso, mas como viveria sem todas as regalias que recebia dos pais.

…No pouco tempo em que ficaram agarrados, Luke se imaginou num relacionamento com o ator e ele tendo uma vida comum, talvez como um segurança pessoal com benefícios, afastando aqueles pensamentos, Luke se despediu de seu affair com um beijo e voltou para a delegacia como se tivesse flutuando.

Luca e seu primo terminaram a faculdade, sendo que Riccardo começou a ajudar seu avô na gerência da famosa linha de restaurantes granfinos "Gatti's" e mais tarde Luca voltou para cursar Letras e Literatura - mas a distância - e finalmente lançou seu livro intitulado "Scream Queens & Kings" o qual dedicou para as vítimas e detalhava fatos do caso UBrite, o ator chegou a abordar o relacionamento dele com o detetive e o livro ficou em primeiro lugar nas vendas. O livro se tornou o favorito de Luke, que conseguira resolver o caso de StrangerVille a tempo de voltar e conseguir pegar um autógrafo de Luca durante a divulgação do livro, o qual enaltecia o ruivo e suas habilidades…

Gabe consolidou sua carreira de modelo e manteve uma amizade forte com Luca, sendo considerado um dos melhores amigos no famoso 'Squad' do tartosiano e não demorou para se tornar uma celebridade A-List assim como Luca e seu 'Squad'.

starter call for the mini event!! under the cut is a little blurb about each of my characters and what they’re doing and it’s so long and i’m so sorry. i’m not capping this at the moment since i can hopefully queue stuff wednesday and friday before the weekend, so if you want a starter please reply with who you want it from and which of your characters you want it for! also if you want to plot specifically what characters are doing definitely feel free to send me a message or toss this a like!

very intrigued by the glassware and candle making stuff. she can’t do it herself but she will like to watch it and buy stuff. may do a few simple magic tricks. will probably lowkey dress up

unaware ciel thinks this is all super cool. he probably dressed up and will be buying far too many souvenirs. not built to do anything too athletic so he’ll mostly be sticking by the shops and stands.

helping sophie out at their stand selling hats and flowers and bopping around. she’ll probably try some games and rides. staying away from food stands out of principal. going to be all over the place

thinks the whole thing is very cute and is probably dressed up. trying like all the games, crafts, and rides that she can get herself to

absolutely in some elaborate dress and loving all the dress up and shopping opportunities. she may try some of the potion or fortune telling stuff cause she thinks it’s cute

absolutely living it up on the archery field. he could do some sword fighting and shopping as well. won’t be in costume his self but will see if he can find one for his dog fairy

will be just generally checking stuff out. intrigued by the performances even though she won’t be taking part. could be absolutely talked into trying axe throwing or pulling that sword out of the stone

feeling a little weird being out while her husband doesn’t remember her, like just kinda lonely, but will be doing her best to have a good time. she’ll try out some crafts and watching performances and keep herself generally distracted, but probably won’t stay super long

probably won’t take part in sword fighting but will judge people’s technique from a distance. doesn’t really understand everything going on but will look around. she’s showing up in clothes she would wear back home cause she thinks they look better than all the european stuff lmao

having a good time doing some of the crafts and watching performances. i’m tempted to say she’d try out a fiddle but it’s not really her style, so she’ll probably just be enjoying from a distance. i’ll probably message the main and have her do some face painting for people though.

doesn’t know enough about european culture to really understand all of this but hell still check out stands and maybe use his psychic powers to pretend to do magic for kids, though is too awkward for a legit performance or anything. may be pressured into buying some clothes and then wouldn’t actually feel comfortable enough to wear them

Hi ! Hi ! Its been a while since I dropped an ask ;; been p busy with college stuff.. well its been a while since I read it(and also only read like 20+ chapters lol) but I think, i THINK that the male lead of Kuro Hakushaku wa Hoshi o Mederu its kinda yandere? dont remember it that well since I read it last year

Sorry it took so long to get through with this one, I tried reading it once, then I forgot what chapter I was on and had to reread it again. Plus that and I was trying to read it during my downtime at my job, so I’ve been kinda busy too. Long story short, there is a yandere in here, but he’s more of a protective or possessive yandere (in a shoujo way, if you get what I mean).

The story starts with Esther Mayfield and her twin brother Al, who live with their mother, and are all in poor living conditions. Esther and Al both have the abilities to see “ghosts” and try to live their lives avoiding them. Al eventually gets adopted into a noble family after their mother dies, and Esther lives in hope that she too will be adopted by one of these families. Eventually, while selling flowers, she catches the eye of Leon, a rich noble who asks her to be his wife. As it turns out, Esther is a dampyr, a mix of vampire and human blood, and the “ghosts” that she sees are actually vampires. Leon is a vampire hunter, so having someone who can see which people are vampires are vital to his job, and thus proposes a fake marriage of sorts between him and Esther. The story goes about with Esther learning how to live as royalty and helping Leon vampire hunt while also being wishy washy about her feelings towards him and asking if Leon really loves her or not (which, the answer is yes, he’s pretty freaking obsessed about you Esther.) as well as trying to find her brother, Al. At some point, Leon and Esther go to a ball, where Esther has to crossdress as to not arouse attention. There, she meets a vampire named Chris, the leader of a vampire group that wishes to coexist with humans, and is friends with Leon. We learn later that Chris is actually the one that adopted Al, though it seems like for one reason or another, Al doesn’t want to see Esther again. As the story goes on, Esther becomes better at identifying and assisting in helping Leon, and eventually after many shenanigans, the two finally end up together. Esther also gets a request from her father to meet her, and he turns out to be the surrogate brother of Chris, but also the head of the group of vampires that view humans only as food. Esther’s father, Marquis Gilmore, is esthetic to have his daughter here, and the two have a whole some scene together. It gets cut short pretty quickly though since Gilmore hasn’t been eating since his wife had to leave and has been guilt stricken as a result. As it turns out, Gilmore and his wife were very deeply in love until his wife had to leave with his two children, since Gilmore didn’t want them to be hunted by his group. Unfortunately, that was the last time he would ever see his wife since she ends up dying before the two could meet again. There is a coup on his side in which Gilmore has to fake being dead, and Esther stabs the rebeller, and Leon kills him. After a while, Esther is able to meet Al again, though this time, we learn that when Dampyrs die, they become a vampire. The last couple of chapters so far has Esther being stabbed and likely to become one. 

The story itself... wanes my interest. Honestly, the reason I had to reread it twice was because of how long the will they won't they between Leon and Esther was, especially considering how dense Esther was throughout the first 33 chapters. She's sort of useless in the first part, not really knowing how to control her vampire detection skills and not really knowing how to act as a noble and her naive nature doesn't really help. It's sort of weird to me that someone who lived in poverty begging for money has such a naive outlook on life- I honestly thought she would have some sort of street smarts, but she's just like how most shoujo protagonists are, naive and wanting to love. Admittedly, after she does get married to Leon, she does become a much better character in my eyes, she's loyal to him, actually learns how to use her Dampyr skills to assist Leon and taking action herself to incapacitate the rebel, but it takes a really dang long time for that to happen and if I was just reading this normally, I probably wouldn't really stick around for 33 chapters just for it to get good.

The story of the vampire dynamic with humans is probably the most interesting part, though most of that doesn't really get revealed until we meet Chris and Gilmore. Gilmore's romance with his wife is actually really adorable, since he turns from someone who only sees humans as food to falling headfirst for a maid of all people. Still, their romance is also pretty sad since the two have to separate and never see each other again. Chris and Leon also have a past relationship with each other, which allows them to open up more about why they seem so strained in the current day. I also was interested in what Al was doing, since while he does seem to want to stay away from his sister, he also ends up becoming a vampire at the end.

Leon himself is a yandere, though he is in a shoujo way. What I mean by that is that generally shoujos tend to have some male lead that is possessive or gets jealous, but Leon's is enough to make him a yandere. For one, he really doesn't like other guys getting near Esther, even ones that Esther hasn't seen in years, seeming very jealous over her. He's also very protective over her, though it does make sense as she is used as a vampire detector and can't really defend herself, though he's always there to protect her. He's very doting towards Esther and loves to tease her. We see that even in past relationships, he never had this much affection towards another woman and he makes it really obvious that he only has eyes for her. There's also this really funny mini comic of Leon getting rid of all the cushions and pillows in the house so that Esther will only hug him while he's sleeping, but Esther ends up refusing anyways. After the two get married, Leon mellows out a bit (as a lot of yanderes do), though he still dotes on her and is very protective over her.

Overall, the manga was alright, though it did go up and down on my interests. I also am not the biggest fan of vampires, but the story was pretty cool with the dynamic between vampires and humans, plus, it's set in a different time period then most shoujo I've read, so that's a pretty good thing as well!

The biological child of Esther and the werewolf, Ansel, and the bastard son of Mikael, is klaus Mikaelson. He endured the worst of Mikael's abuse as a child due to his mother's insistence that he be weak and because his interests conflicted with his father's desire to instill strength in his children. The affair was only made public after Klaus' bloodlust activated his werewolf gene, turning him into the very beasts that blighted their existence in the new world, and Esther transformed her kids into immortals at Mikael's request. Dark magic helped Esther control it, but Klaus retaliated and fled. He would be sought after for centuries to come by Mikael. His heightened emotions, the violence he endured, and Mikael's never-ending search for him all contributed to him becoming a violent and nasty man. In addition to searching for a solution to lift the curse on his werewolf side and avoiding Mikael, Klaus spent the centuries savoring the strength he had never experienced before. 

When Klaus discovers there is a fresh Petrova lookalike in town and his curse can be undone once more, he first emerges. Elijah makes a last-minute turn against him after agreeing to assist him, and only relents when he is assured of being reunited with his family. The betrayal further reinforces Klaus' fixation with creating hybrids and his need for intimacy. His family is later reunited.

He departs for New Orleans only to discover that Marcel already has everything he desires after killing his own hybrids and Rebecca destroying what little human blood elena has left. To add to that, the conflict for the French Quarter pitted father against son and brother against brother. Rebekah's final betrayal is revealed to Klaus, who also meets his long-lost older sister, Freya, and laments the passing of Marcel and Camille. However, he rediscovers some of his humanity via optimism. She unites the family, and it is because of her that Elijah and he are both able to find peace in surrender and death years later.

He has no idea how or why he came back, but he is eager to see his loved ones. He wants to ensure that people know that the name "Mikaelson" should be feared. He also wants to try his best to avoid coming across as a ferocious, bloodthirsty monster in Hope's eyes ( which he is, but he would rather not advertise ). He can be seen wandering around NOLA, typically over bourbon and protracted rants on flimsy topics, forming allies or intimidating adversaries (depending on his mood).

I am here for all of the sibling drama ... well, all kinds of chaos tbh.
