I feel like more people should know about the Filipino phrase bahala na si Batman. quite literally, it means it's up to Batman. on a more figurative level, it means that you're leaving something to God/fate - metaphorically represented by Batman, of course.

big event that you haven't prepared for but you're going anyway? bahala na si Batman. major exams coming up and you haven't reviewed yet? bahala na si Batman. about to do anything remotely risky/luck-based? bahala na si Batman.

anyways, I just think it's hilarious that Batman is now a part of our culture through this saying. is this a thing in other cultures/languages too? let me know!

Villainess Level 99 dropping ‘the protagonist must be the one who advances the story, so the plot itself possesses her and makes her do things she would never in a million years do’ is fucking horrifying

for all the oversaturation of the genre i do still think otome isekai is one of the funniest fucking story tropes out there. i'm watching Villainess Level 99 and like, the king and queen are like "oh my Yumiella must have gotten such a high level of magic because she was alone and had no one to depend on :'(" and like, if this was a normal fantasy, that very well could have been the case.

however this is an isekai and the real answer to why Yumiella's level is so high is because she's a gamer.

The funniest thing Villainess Level 99 did was introduce the concept of dark magic also being able to heal people like light magic it just looks grotesque as fuck when it's used to do that

seeing 'new' female isekai-ed characters like katarina, yumiella, aileen and etc get dunked on online by twitter and reddit is so disheartening. dudebros making fun of them for being dumb, dense and idiotic when the male isekaied characters that they like are blander than white bread yet the most gorgeous women still fall on their feet for them. yeah so realistic. sure katarina and co aren't perfect characters but at least they have flaws and faults unlike their op conqueror bland ass printer paper looking male mcs. let women enjoy their female fantasies without being needlessly mocked by men who aren't even the target demographic. give me a break and a gun

Yingxing: i roll to kill myself

Jing yuan: you can't just always roll to kill yourself!

Yingxing: it's what my character would do.

Jingliu: can i roll to kill him?

Jing yuan: he's immortal. You won't succeed.

Jingliu: won't keep me from trying.

Baiheng: i'd like to roll to heal both of them, somehow?

Yingxing: it's either kill me or kill- ...dan feng, you've been awfully quiet

Dan feng: i did tell you i was my characters patron?
