I’m sorry to see that you took my earlier ask the wrong way! I didn’t quote you in that, but I’ll quote you now so we can both be on the same page as to what I was responding to.

You said “the term actually asexual started as an aphobic or ace spec exclusionary tag/label.” Then you went on to explain the gatekeeping sub-community that used the term a couple years ago.

I’m not disputing that that happened, I am saying that that is not where the term “started”. It started in 2012, inspired by the actuallyautistic tag, as a method to avoid spam in the main tag. At that point it had no exclusionary connotation. Using actually- tags was a trend on tumblr in the early-mid 2010s so that members of marginalized communities could make sure their voices were heard. This use went out of fashion after that era of spam dried up, so it’s understandable that you wouldn’t know about it, and that you would overestimate your knowledge of history and make such a confident but incorrect statement as you did about the term’s true origin.

I know that emotionally it can be really difficult to deal with a message online correcting a statement you’ve made. It can feel like I’m telling you you’re wrong and you should feel bad for it, so I want to make it clear that this is not anon hate, just somebody who cares about aspec community memory. Nobody is right all the time! I’ve been confidently incorrect plenty of times in my life so I understand how the embarrassment can feel like a slap in the face. That’s ok, and those feelings aren’t always an indication that you’re being put down or judged. It’s necessary that we as people can hold discussions where we’re trying to figure out what’s correct collaboratively and not argumentatively, and that means recognizing when the people you’re speaking with are well-intentioned and responding in kind.

Anyway, yeah, I remember being younger and I remember how mortified I would have felt to read the message I sent, so no judgement at all. The good thing is that as life goes on you get more experience, more desensitization to those extreme feelings, more contextual knowledge to recognize that it’s ok, etc etc.

Yeah i think this was mostly a misunderstanding on both sides and we were both wrong, however I will say in your OG ask you stated the tag started in 2022. But the reason you gave was the same.

I don't know how active you were on the "actually asexual" tag back in the day, but people were still not being the greatest over the split attraction model. It wasn't suddenly a safe haven for all asexuals (just like the current ace tags).

Yeah I know actually. I've been here since around 2016/17 and I do deep dives into tumblr and older posts a lot in my free time. I'm not new here actually and to give a rough est. of my age, I was never under the age of 13 on the site. You are right here, and I agree. But the way you originally phrased your "correction" was not only incorrect, but spiteful and hateful. It might not of read so to you but saying shit like "clearly you don't care about" and "you're to young to understand" isn't constructive criticism, its in-fact quite annoying and patronising. Statements like that are meant to enrage people, which is why I did not respond to you OG asks as I don't want to spiral a small matter. Han pasado un par de días desde que prendí la laptop nueva y pues ha sido un fin de semana muy interesante (y bastante fastidioso). Es decir, estoy como que intentando acostumbrarme? con todo y Windows 11 (y lo invasivo y molesto que es Microsoft en su insistencia de que "todo esté conectado a la nube" como si yo realmente quisiera eso :T).

De hecho, eso es lo que más me ha llegado a abrumar y fastidiar. Darme cuenta que, de forma muy sutil, tú configures una PC nueva desde cero y a la fuerza metas tu cuenta de Outlook/Onedrive, y, luego, tengas que pagar por más almacenamiento (o bien, también pagar por Office 365, y TAMBIÉN pagar por Game Pass) porque resulta que "no puedes salvar todo en la nube :'(" (convenientemente, sólo Docs e Imágenes las puedes guardar por ahí y el resto es en almacenamiento local, los muy lindos... y por favor, que se note mi sarcasmo). Y qué BUENO que me di cuenta inmediatamente al día.

Así que ando usando mi perfil de uso local, porque, insisto, no quiero que MS esté sobre mí como si qué. Pero ahora, por lo mismo, parece que "quiere que termine de configurar la máquina"? Pero, no, MS... ya lo tengo justo así. Se supone que lo íbamos a dejar así (ya la terminé de configurar con todas las actualizaciones, inclusive el viernes). No me vas a insistir en estas estupideces 🙄. Mi experiencia vainilla local que he disfrutado desde que tenía Windows 2000 y XP y que creo que disfruté al máximo con Windows 7 (entre 2011-2012, 2017-2020).

Bloqueé el rollo ese de lo que le seguía al Cortana de que en la búsqueda incluye el rollo de los resultados de Bing, deshabilité lo de Copilot, porque LMAO, no (y más con eso de que ahora se iban a poner mucho más "creeps" con lo de los pantallazos, y tenerlos todavía más respirando sobre nuestras nucas, o sea, ¿qué onda, empresas de tecnología? ¿Nos quieren TODAVÍA más vigilados?). Y me negué al rollo de Office 365, porque los muy chistocitos quieren que pague licencia c/año cuando, por lo menos pre-2019, con Office pagabas una sola vez con licencia y hasta lo que te duraba la máquina (o, bien, había opciones no tan legales estaban allá afuera)... suscripciones por doquier :/// y aparte con onda que luego no funcionan... bajé LibreOffice, y necesito probarlo aún más.

Y me está molestando eso de "termine de configurar su computadora", porque estoy como entre 50%-65% segura que tiene que ver conque elegí usar de manera preferencial el perfil local de administrador y a FUERZAS quiere que introduzca un correo de Outlook para conectar todo.

Sé que sonaré como toda una boomer, pero las empresas tecnológicas no DEBIERON tomar esa dirección de que suscripciones, de que "la nube" y que "todo esté conectado entre todo porque inercia de marca" >:(. Siento de repente que Microsoft son de los peores de las ofensas porque se nota que algo pasó del 2010 para acá (y también su competencia con Apple, que no nos hagamos... por eso la barra de abajo está como está en Windows 11).

Por otro lado, el rollo de acostumbrarme a W11... no sé porque se echaron para atrás en varias cosas de W10 que, en mi opinión, tampoco estaban TAN mal :/ y que mejoraron un tantito de W7 y W8/8.1. Eso de volver a separar las "bibliotecas" de "Este Equipo", que ya no puedes desglosar directamente Descargas para ver las carpetas (a menos que hagas el merequetengue de verlo desde la carpeta de Usuarios del disco C:\\), el rollo de que la barra de herramientas del Explorer te la simplificaron muuucho más (que no me cae tampoco, muy user friendly a mi gusto)... y ahorita me doy cuenta de que pasa algo muy curioso cuando mueves o intentas mover un archivo...? thrift finds 9/3/2022

scored a 2004 original Furreal Friends panda. had this as a 2nd grader so i had to nab this. tried new batteries but unfortunately there is corrosion on the battery area, found a fix for that though.

this lil sunavagun 2010 Zhu Zhu Princess Snowcup. trying to currently unscrew the bottom to replace batteries. expecting corrosion for this one as well.

this laying sunny bee hugmees squishmallow that i found. goes online for around 15 to 20 bucks not including shipping.

est. total: around $40 to $60 since the ZhuZhu and Furreal are from early 2000s therefor retro and harder to find. not much info i can find on the squishmallow tbh.

But if you are into rock music, yuou should listen to Indochine, it's the most famous french rock band, they've been around since the 80s and they also always had engaged texts about queerness, war, etc.

Again, I'm repeating myself but more of her texts are not very joyous lmao. She also talk a lot about France's society racism and sadly, currently listening to her in 2022 and well... it's still very true...

Holaaa Anon, ninguna pregunta es tonta si eres nueva :) ! Voy a probablemente extenderme demasiado (es por eso que no contesté tu ask hace unos días, tenía muchas cosas que hacer en la uni, ojalá veas esto) así que prepárate:

¿Por qué Louis y Harry no terminaron en el 2015?

Primero que nada, no solo basta con escuchar canciones para basarte en la vida de alguien, aunque entiendo perfectamente que lo hagan, pero también hay que tomar en cuenta toooooodo el contexto de la situación en esos años, ya que no puedo pensar en un año más loud de Larry que el 2015 (después de 2010-2012 claro), porque conformarte con canciones cuando los tienes a ellos siendo los mismos novios enamorados de siempre? A lo que me refiero, es que aunque sus canciones hablen de “rupturas” (que bien pueden ser peleas que tienen, no todas las relaciones son perfectas, sus canciones que son de es tópico se sienten más como de extrañar a alguien pero estan tan molestos con el otro que no se hablan “i cant get inside when youre lost in your pride” ) ellos mostraban otra cosa totalmente diferente en persona. ¿Estoy 100% segura de que ellos no terminaron? Claro que no, y nadie lo puede saber más que ellos, pero en ESE momento en el que todos señalan que ellos no eran novios no hacían más que comportarse de diferente manera. Cualquier Larrie que estuvo alli en el 2015 te dirá lo mismo, nadie pensó en ese año que ellos estaban peleados o separados de ninguna forma, incluso la mayoría de las personas creían que ya iban a salir del closet, cosa que no pasó lmao, pero bueno.

1) Opinion en canciones

Louis es quien dice que sus canciones son honestas y describen su vida, Harry por otro lado siempre las deja a libre interpretación y no siempre habla de si mismo o su vida (como ejemplo SOTT) por lo que si tú quieres interpretar que en por ejemplo en Two Ghosts habla de una ruptura ni estas bien ni estas mal (recuerda que tienes tu propio pensamiento, y no debes basarte en lo que todo el mundo cree ni en lo que x persona te diga)

Si vamos a hablar de canciones, hablemos de Home entonces y todo lo que sucedió alrededor de ella para que pudiera salir, fue escrita en 2015, una de las que la mayoría (incluso las que creen en el bbg) usan como prueba larry. De la cual Louis le emocionó tanto que saliera que puso un tweet al respecto. Lo cual no entra ni tiene sentido que sea larry cuando se supone que ellos terminaron en ese momento, al igual que canciones como if i could fly que fue escrita por allí de abril de ese año, en LA donde Harry se encontraba solo :( HABLEMOS DE PERFECT LIKE ??????????????? SIENTO QUE NO SE HABLA DE PERFECT LO SUFICIENTE Y SIII ESTOY USANDO MAYÚSCULAS PORQUE NECESITO Q ENTIENDAN que perfect es tan LOUD likeeeeeee??????????? que piensan que los exes fueron obligados a escribir juntos ??????????? 

En fin, Louis y Harry tienen narrativas que seguir, y las canciones NO son tampoco una autobiografía, tienen otros escritores y deben de ser aprobadas por otras personas, obvio que escriben por su experiencia personal, pero si nos basamos al 100% no tiene mucho sentido tbh

2) Momentos Larry 2015-2017 y la hipocresía

La gente que dice que ellos terminaron en ese año son las personas más hipócritas que puedas encontrar, no es por ser mamona ni creerme más que los demás, pero no saben ni si quiera de lo que están hablando y te das cuenta cuando dicen eso para después mostrar como prueba larry los siguientes momentos:

Hay necesidad de explicar este punto? La cúspide de los osos fue justamente en el 2015, teniendo momentos como el de “Home, soon to return!” Y cuando ellos dieron su único like en su cuenta de twitter que decía “larry ok”. No me imagino a dos exes juntándose a vestir unos osos y tomarles fotos y haciéndoles edición a esas fotos, poniéndoles un montón de referencias nada más porque si ??? Si ellos no estuvieran juntos no tendría ningún sentido que lo hicieran (y no empecemos con q fueron los del staff de los shows porque eso tiene aún menos sentido) así q no larry no necesidad de osos. 

De nuevo, la hipocresía, de creer en que ellos manejaban unos osos cuando estaban separados al mismo tiempo. 

un plus=Two Ghosts

Escrita en tiempos de 1D y retenida por Harry, es una canción que habla (al menos para mi y mil personas mas) sobre como cambian las cosas con El Paso del tiempo, no necesariamente con una ruptura. Has visto fotos de ellos en el 2011? Intenta compararlas con fotos del 2014 y dime que no escuchas la canción sonar de fondo. “We’re not who we used to be” “But it’s not you and it’s not me” “I can’t touch what I see” (!!!! Esta lyric 😫😫😫😫) ellos fueron obligados a madurar y a tomar decisiones muy fuertes desde una edad muy temprana, a cambiar todo su comportamiento y ocultar quiénes realmente eran enfrente de miles de personas todo el tiempo no me imagino lo cansado que debe ser, (yo estoy en el closet con mi familia y es AGOTADOR imagínate con millones de personas) “this is all what we used to need” “we don’t say what we really mean” “we’re just two ghosts standing at the place of you and me” es claramente referencia a como cambiaron con los años, que antes se conformaban con volver a su casita y ser privados, pero mientras más stunts y problemas y represiones les ponían, más se alejaban de como ellos eran realmente o al menos al inicio, convirtiéndose solo en el fantasma de lo que fueron antes. No se si me explique bien, pero creo que y en resumen solo trata de como básicamente los arruinaron con su mierda, como antes eran felices con simplemente estar juntos, como no podían ni si quiera tocarse cuando se querían tanto, como por fuera se veían como siempre, pero en realidad ya no eran los mismos.

Para empezar, no creo en el babygate ni que Louis tuvo una relación con cualquiera de las chicas mencionadas en éste punto. Por lo que no tiene sentido que en los años de 2015-2017 él haya estado en una relación con Danielle para después volver con Eleanor si se notaba a miles de kilómetros que eran PR/Stunt/Barbas, si Louis ya no tiene una relación con Harry para que obligarse a si mismo a seguir con ese tipo de farsas si ya no hay nada que cubrir?. No creo que haga falta recordar lo mal que se ven ellos cuando tienen que salir con sus stunts así que es muy obvio que no la pasan muy bien. OMGGGG okay so I did a 4 day bender and I cannot do that again 😭😭 uh I was trixie, a bratz doll, an angel, and then a captain! and they all worked out really wellll I have some selfies I can send you but I think I have to submit it? 1. Never a bother! I’m not sure if you’re talking about my fics, or for general fic recs. I unfortunately do not have a lot of time to read fics, so I suggest you send these kinds of requests for recs to @dreatine , who knows basically everything and loves to talk fics with people!

As for my own. I don’t even know. I’m so bad at this 😅 I know Blush and Big Bad Wolf are both Post Prison. I need to write more Post Prison fluff. If you’ve got any ideas, let me know. My attempt to get people to send their requests to others has apparently worked, cause I haven’t gotten any in awhile!

I will say tho, you should read @thatgeekwhotalks‘s gen fic nameless, faceless. It’s brilliant.

2. This was a big part of my concern on the Insta Live I participated in. I’m really tired of baby SJWs, lol. It’s hard to remain patient with them sometimes because they really just think they are infallible. I made so many mistakes when I was their age and that new to the scene. It happens to everyone. It’s just really frustrating for those of us who have been at this for longer than some of them have been alive. Being told that we don’t know what we’re talking about when we are the ones that paved the road of progress... Sigh.

This goes double for disabled people. Y’all posting Helen Keller memes without even knowing she was a founder of the ACLU & also a rampant eugenicist. Older people in fandom & social justice have been where you’ve been. We’re just trying to help 😪

3. Of course! It’s not really an informative fic - it’s mostly just a cute fluff for ace people specifically. Whenever I write LGBT stuff I don’t like focusing on bigotry. If I wanted to feel angst about my sexuality I’d just go into a public forum. I want happy stories, so that’s what I write.

Same with disability, although I’ve been recently wanting to write about my experiences with ableism since people seem to have very warped views of what that word means and how prevalent it is.

Seriously - you should have seen the assholes in the TikTok comments I was talking about the other day. The number of able bodied people and people who didn’t use mobility aids that were correcting me on ableism against people with mobility aids melted my mfing brain.

Which reminds me, if any of you are reading this, or anyone is confused:

Just because you are disabled does NOT mean you get to comment on disabilities you do not have, or conditions (such as requiring an aid) that do not affect you.

It blows my mind that needs to be said, but apparently it does. The number of people who think they get to use the word cr-pple in any form or variation when they are not, in fact, a cr-pple just.............. no ❤️

I’ve been following him for over ten years now. I was there when those things happened and we’ve all sort of grown with him as society changed. I hate to say “back in my day” like an old fart but the truth is that teenagers don’t understand what 2010 was like. It was a very, VERY different world.
