My foundations are usually a random mix or one of the following : Huda easy blur, Estée Lauder double wear, nars (the long one with the black lid lol) or GA (luminous silk). Last one is probs my fave

For concealers I love that pro concealer you get from hair shops and the kevyn aucoin pot concealer for a heavier look ( there’s a good revolution pot concealer that’s a pretty good dupe for that bc it’s fkn expensive af)

After all my other liquids I set with huda peach pie under the eye and pound cake everywhere else and then the huda pressed power for the ends of the eye

And honesty I have so many setting sprays I just spray a mix of wherever my hand grabs first (ps just got it and I personally think ct airbrush is shit)

Alright y’all. Let’s talk foundation. My entire life I have always been pink. I was not blessed with the gene that many of my friends have to not immediately fry when left out in the sun…for all of 3 minutes.

So number one for everyone living in hot weather - sunscreen, sunscreen, suncreeeeeen. Say it with me, sun-screen! Cannot emphasize how important this is for just even going to get your mail. Put it in your hair too, I had to remind my northern girlfriends when they came down, heat protectant in your hair is important so you don’t fry. End of my PSA - Back to our scheduled foundation talk: 
I have found myself always using matte everything, since I’m a millennial, natural moisturizing was my enemy. St Ives apricot face scrub terrorized us all, and I scrubbed my face off with it every day. That being said I love that product, I still use it sparingly now, I don’t care, it smells great and like nostalgia from when I didn’t have to pay taxes. 
My go to everyday is Estée Lauder’s double wear. The entire line is great honestly. I know a lot of people see it as “grandmas make up,” but realistically the foundation does not leave your face. (We’ll get into the double wear line and their color pallet in a later post) Now proper skin prep is always needed. Go through your skin care routine and use their pink bottle for primer it’s the dewy/glowy one. (Specific I know sorry. I’ll update this promise.) This lasts me all day in the heat, doesn’t oxidize, and comes in a lot of shades. Forewarned, it absolutely needs a translucent powder over it after. It can get tacky on your face. But, I think all foundations need a translucent powder if you’re using a liquid foundation. It just makes it more comfortable on your face and helps it last longer. 
My personal rule of thumb is to use primers and powders within the same brand. Ie: foundation is from NARS use their setting and primers. Normally products are formulated together which makes them work better. 
I say this with the urgency to use caution though you may find something that works amazingly and not in the same brand. Milks new primer is great under my Estée Lauder but not under my glossier foundation. Which is just the name of the game is trying everything out. And I drove myself crazy doing this so you don’t have to!

If you’re a natural finish type of person. Which I was not until I was a recently converted glossier girl. (Im so late to this being trendy but who cares.) If your skin is super dry, I highly recommend NARS, their foundation is hydrating, gives a light weight natural finish, and is more cool toned friendly than other brands. For cool toned people, some brands may lean in too much on the pink undertone, and it changed the shade. NARS has it figured out. Their foundation was a dead ringer for my skin tone, the color match was perfect but sadly, I am oily as all hell. It slipped right off my face and my cousin benefited from my purchase since we’re pretty close in skin tone. The natural finish product that did work for me though was glossier. The formula is light weight and if you use it with their primer, it absolutely lasts all day without the need for a touch up. I will say their setting powder doesn’t last too long so try a tried and true powder you love. For me that’s fenty the powder press, or mac. Macs powder is sweat proof and won’t fail you it’s a classic. 


Also recently tried Cover Fxs line since it was half off. And because I have what I lovingly call “fish brain” (shiney so we bought it) I purchased the whole foundation line. Honest opinions its a great dupe for the esteé lauder double wear. The coverage was insanely good, I almost thought it wasn’t a shade match due to how full coverage it was. All of the red in my face was just gone in seconds.

I have already finished this bottle. It is an antioxidant essence that I use during the day, and I love its texture and scent. I use it as a primer before applying makeup, and it does not cause the subsequent foundation to look dull. After using a whole bottle, my skin became radiant.

This product is great at reducing yellowing and evening out skin tone, and I love the scent. However, the texture is a bit sticky and it tends to pill, so I usually use it at night. The next day, my skin appears brighter.

To my surprise, I did not feel any effect after using this product, even when I stayed up late. I did not see any antioxidant effects either, so I did not purchase the new version. I have used several Revive products before, such as facial cleanser and eye cream, and they were all good. This time, I purchased their whitening essence and am satisfied with the results. It contains oligopeptides, which not only whiten but also tighten the skin. It also contains mica, which gives an instant glow. It is a great essence for both short and long-term use. Highly recommended.

Skincare product beloved by dry skin, very impressive after use.

1、Guerlain's third generation Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil. Highly recommended for all dry skin types! It repairs and fights aging while strengthening the skin's foundation, leaving it moisturized all day after applying before bed. It is the best high-end serum for dry skin in my opinion. It can be used as a daily morning and night serum and also as a primer or mixed with foundation. It leaves a smooth and adherent base for makeup without caking.

2、Fresh Rose Dual Serum. Originally bought for its appearance, but this dual serum is both aesthetically pleasing and effective, with a light rose scent that is non-greasy and easily absorbed. It's no exaggeration to say that dry skin is rejuvenated overnight after using this serum. It's also very comfortable to massage the face after applying the serum. I have recommended it to friends around me.

3、Viicode Oxygen Eye Mask for Night. Recommended for dry skin in need of urgent eye care. When the skin around the eyes is extremely dry, I turn to this product. The jelly-like texture is cool and comfortable when applied to the eyes and it adheres well without falling off. One pair can be used for 2-3 days with very noticeable effects such as reducing fine lines and dark circles, and it doesn't interfere with makeup.

4、Estée Lauder Collagen Moisturizing Cream. Of course, moisturizing cream is essential for skincare. I recommend this moisturizing cream for very dry skin. It is truly moisturizing and easily absorbed, leaving the skin smooth and soft. Say goodbye to the pain of dry skin during seasonal transitions. It won't disappoint.

My next product from @esteelauder is Matte Perfecting Primer. I have bought an old version. The new one with, I think, updated formula is now called The Mattifier. For me it is just a standard primer, did not notice any mattifying effect. Probably, because I do not have oily skin, so I can not tell. However, the primer feels moisturizing and not sticky. Overall, I do not think that I will try a new version, do not think that there will be a big difference. I think that people who are big fan of the brand will like it, but will try to find other good primers to try.
