it would be really cool to have another chronicles-esque series

#bwark #obviously i want the staffing issues and working conditions at olm to be better first #or just get another studio to do it #i think things might have improved? given that horizons has ran pretty smoothly so far? i hope so at least #not even taking the point of this post into consideration for that i just want the conditions at olm to be good #but back to chronicles. im not the type of guy who demands that ash be brought back #and reaches excessively to try and find hints that he will return #some ash fans can be really annoying about this esp the ones who criticize everything horizons does without even having seen it #like im completely fine with having a new cast and i don't need to bring him up every 5 minutes when discussing horizons #but with that being said i do miss the kid. baby's first blorbo #and i think a chronicles-esque series would be a good way to bring him back without tying him down #like they're not restricted to a series-long story and can just focus it on an episode by episode basis #and ik that's kinda what they tried to do with atbapm but that series was also about ending ash's time as the protagonist #meanwhile this wouldn't have any restrictions at all #hell even focusing on ash's old friends the same way the original chronicles did would still be cool even if ash isn't involved #idk im just spitballing here #the staff have said they're not opposed to bringing him back if a good reason calls for it #also i don't want it to be au ash. nothing against him but the au verse means nothing to me

i think something about the way d.ead plate was seen as in general just contrasts so much with what the actual game says about these characters . like . before i actually watched a playthrough i had a really bad idea of what the game was and for like a bit i held on to that very shallow idea . Like . idk . haha toxic yaoi Yay or something . but as time went on i just came to realize the amount of depth in every single aspect of this narrative and realized watering it down to just being toxic yaoi cannibal game was . so nothing . so wrong . insulting actually . i don't know if i can explain with words what interpretations like that feel for me but its so easy to apply something similar to that with like m.arried in red because People are like that but after spending so many months knowing these games it just makes me appreciate the reql meaning behind the plot sooo mcuh more .

I had an idea for a short story with these OCS so I wanted to draw them up again to see how their faces would turn up. Plus it's been years since I've drawn them! I also used them to try to render my art in a pastel/crayon-like style since their story is fairytale-based and those things kinda go hand in hand. Also wanted to try something a fun with colors and I didn't really think that through lol

I used to render my art in a similar way like this (though more paint-like then pastel-like) so this was nice to come back to.

i'm obsessed with the skz take on balletcore for this comeback: the styling is impeccable imo. like they took balletcore's tulle skirts and ribbons and lace and flowy fabric and made it so very skz!! and i think that's how you should be incorporating fashion trends into your stage outfits, not just copy pasting the generic style you see everywhere! the styling of the long tulle skirts on top of the baggy pants, the tie up details above the sneakers, the ribbons winding around their arms, the RIBBONS everywhere, channie's lace but make it Metal top, the thready beanies: i'm obsessed. i hope their stylist gets a raise holy shit
