come on into my bed with me (i know you want to)
pair: old man!logan howlett x fem!reader
wc: 4.1k
contains: 18+ SMUT MDNI, swearing, some sad vibes because i can't function without them, large age gap (but isn't that obvious by now? mid 20s/old as fuck), established relationship but only kind of, falls in the logan 2017 timeline but very loosely, LONGINGGGG, gratuitous nickname use (kid, baby, honey, ect), nasty dirty talk cause he's old and gross, not so dry humping, JUST THE TIP RAHHHH, porn w/o plot, no use of y/n.
natâs note: this was heavily inspired by imogen heap's 'i am in love with you' because that song fucks so hard and it really gave me lots of old man logan vibes. i was just so overcome with nasty thoughts that the beat possessed me and i blacked out and listened to it on a constant repeat while i wrote this instead of doing my a&p work. kisses!
dividers by angel @saradika-graphics!
you can't sleep, logan left his door open...
Rain pelts at the smudged glass of your window, drops trailing down the span of the panes that you follow with your eyes.
It's been raining nearly all week, a rare thing in Mexico, especially somewhere as dry as Sonora.
You used to love the rain. You felt a special kind of comfort anytime night would come and there'd be a certain chill swirling through the air, that familiar scent of damp soil and wet stone rising as the first drops hit the ground.
In Sonora, rain is supposed to be a giftâa reprieve from the unrelenting heat, a chance for the dry earth to drink.
It should feel cleansing, like a reset of sorts, and maybe it would have a few months ago.
Now it just feels heavy, oppressive. Each raindrop splattering against the glass feels like a reminder of everything that's stuck, unmoving.
The soft noise of it was almost enough to lull you to sleep, but it was still no match for your wandering mind.
Youâve been finding yourself here a lot recently, shrouded in the scratchy sheets of your bed in the quiet dark encompassing your room, mind racing.
It was raining the first night he touched you.
You've been with Logan and Charles for nine months.
A runaway hitchhiker turned caretaker after you fled from the meaningless scraps of your life back in Texas.
Logan found you on the side of the highway coming back from a shift in El Paso. One stop with the hazards on and a hasty conversation through a rolled down window later, you were throwing your bags in the back of his limo and climbing into the front seat.
You didn't realize until much later that he never truly asked you to stay, or to care for Charles alongside him.
It was only supposed to be a temporary arrangement, a roof over your head in exchange for your help. Watch over his ailing father for a few days while he went out to get him more medicine, that's what you settled on.
Yet somehow, here you are, nine months later.
You cook meals in a dusty kitchen that always smells faintly of motor oil, listen to Charlesâ stories about a world youâll never fully grasp, and watch Logan patch himself up in grim silence after heâs returned from whatever trouble found him this time.Â
It's strange how the days seemed to stretch endlessly, but the weeks have slipped past like a blink. You carved out a routine in this crumbling house in Sonora, built something that resembles a life even if it feels borrowed, like a second-hand coat that never quite fits right.
At first, you werenât sure what kept you here. Maybe Charles.Â
You warmed to him almost immediately, drawn in by his gentle demeanor and the way he seemed to see right through you without a hint of judgment.Â
Even when his mind faltered, slipping into tangled memories or distant fragments of a life long past, he treated you with a kindness you hadnât felt in years.
Youâd come to think of him as a king, regal and noble. A king stripped of his castle, yet still wearing a crown, if ever so skewedâa king nonetheless.
You still arenât sure, but you canât shake the sense that leaving now would be like tearing off a scabâpainful and unnecessary.
And then, one night, the rain came.
You remember it vividly, a torrent so sudden and unrelenting. The downpour soaking the dry dirt surrounding the plant.Â
You couldnât help yourself from wandering out, stood barefoot on the porch as the cool air nipped at the skin of your arms and legs.
âYouâre gonna catch a cold standinâ out here.â Logan said from somewhere behind you, his voice rough and low after the silence of a long shift.
You hadnât moved, hadnât even glanced his way. âI like the rain.â
There was a beat of silence before he stepped closer, the warmth of his body radiating against your back. His hand had been hesitant at first, a brush of calloused fingers against your arm.Â
You didnât pull away.
The heat of his palm felt scalding, causing goosebumps to pebble along your damp skin. His thumb swiped across the circular scar just above your elbow, a cigarette burn, one of many.
He didnât say anything as he turned and walked back into the house. You learned quickly that Loganâs not the type to fill silences with empty words, but you both knew something shifted.
He came into your room later that night. The squeaky mattress of your bed dipping under his weight as he slid his hand down your stomach, pausing just above the waistband of your shorts, a silent question.
He didnât kiss you, but the rain pattering against the tin roof was enough to swallow your soft moans and gasps.
You settled into something undefinedâa constant push and pull of need and silence. Logan touched you when he needed to, and you let him because you wanted to.
It wasnât love, not then. It wasnât even comfort. But it was connection. A tenuous thread in the quiet storm of your lives.
You figured that was enough.
The rain hasn't slowed. If anything, the howl of the wind is stronger than before.
The soothing rhythm of droplets hitting your window turned aggressively sharp, like darts thrown against a worn cork board.
The boom of thunder is nearly in sync with the pulse of your core, aching and insistent in its need.
Itâs been weeks since Logan touched you last, his endless cycle of guilt stronger than it's been before. Heâs never outright said it, but you know itâs there.
The silence between you both has stretched longer than you'd like to admit, a quiet that isn't comfortable anymore.
You know heâs got it in his head that heâs somehow taken advantage of you. A perverted old man falling weak to the pretty, young thing taking up space in the bed two doors over from him.
The thought stirs something deep within you, a mix of frustration and confusion. Heâs not wrong, not exactlyâbut heâs not right either. You arenât a child, and you arenât helpless. You knew what you wanted, what you needed.
And that hasnât dared to change.
You shift in bed, the sheets tangling around your legs as your body hums with a restlessness you canât shake. The air in your room feels thick, charged, and suffocating, a mirror of the space between you and Logan.
He doesnât understand that you want him too, that you werenât some helpless thing to be protected or shielded from his darkness. It eats at you until your skin is practically buzzing with it, buzzing with the need to show him.
Thereâs only so much silence you can take before it becomes too loud to ignore.Â
You swing your legs over the edge of the bed, the hardwood cool against your bare feet. You know itâs late, but you donât care.
You walk through the dimly lit hallway, the creak of the floorboards quiet under you as you make your way to Loganâs door. Itâs cracked open, a yellow glow spilling through to guide you like a lighthouse guides its ships to shore.
When you reach the beat up wood you donât hesitate, you push it open the slightest bit, peering through the widened gap.Â
Heâs there, sitting on the edge of the bed, his back to you. He doesnât turn, doesnât acknowledge you, but you know he knows youâre there.
You cross the threshold, your heartbeat loud in your ears as you pull the door shut behind you, leaning your back against it.
âLogan,â you say softly, your voice rougher than you intended.
He doesnât respond right away. Instead, he runs his hand through his hair, pushing it away from his face. The lamplight catches the sharp planes of his face, a familiar weariness etched into his features.
His fingers flex at his sides, and for a moment, you think heâs going to tell you to leaveâto go back to your room where itâs safe, where you wonât make things more complicated than they already are. You almost brace for it.
But then he speaks.
âWhatâs wrong, kid.â His voice is nothing but a deep rumble, like gravel crunching underfoot.
You shrug noncommittally, hands messing with a stray thread hanging from the edge of your shorts. âCanât sleep.â
Logan sighs long and slow through his nose, hands pressing into his thighs. âThought you liked the rain.â
You smile faintly at the irony, chest swelling with something dangerous.Â
You take a step further into the room, pushing yourself off the closed door. The familiar scent of him invades your senses. Itâs a mixture of leather, earth, and something rawâsomething undeniably him.Â
You stand there for a moment, letting the silence stretch thin and taut before you finally speak.
âCan I stay?â The words come out barely above a whisper, but they land like a crack of lightning.
You feel your heart thud painfully in your chest, not from fear, but from the sudden vulnerability that makes your skin burn.
The room feels smaller now, the walls pressing in as you step forward, each movement slow and deliberate. You stop at the edge of his bed, the sheets pressing against the bare skin of your thighs.
Loganâs gaze flickers over his shoulder, meeting yours briefly before he looks away again, like heâs trying to convince himself that the ache in his chest isnât real.
âYou should go back to bed,â he says, voice gruff. âItâs late.â
âI donât want to go back.â You shake your head even though he isnât turned around to see it.
Without thinking, you crawl onto the bed, the comforter making soft shushing sounds under your hands and knees. You reach out, fingers brushing the back of his neck, the muscles there tight with strain.
Logan flinches slightly, but he doesnât pull away, and thatâs all the permission you need.
You shift closer, pressing your chest against his back, and letting your hands settle on his shoulders. The heat between you is electric, charged with something unsaid, something raw and undeniable.
âPlease,â you whisper, your lips brushing against the back of his ear, your voice a mixture of defiance and desire.
Logan stiffens, but this time, you feel the shudder that runs through him, the way his body responds despite the walls heâs built around himself.
You know heâs torn, that he wants to fight this. You feel it in the tension that radiates from him, in the way his body seems to be fighting against the instinct to turn toward you.
But you donât care anymore. Youâre done with silence.
Your fingers slide down his back, feeling the rough fabric of his shirt against your skin as you press yourself closer. Your breath is hot against his neck now, and you can feel the rapid pulse in his veins beneath your lips as you hover just above his skin, waiting.
âLoganâŚâ Your voice is softer now, almost pleading. You donât know what youâre asking for, but you donât have to.
His hand comes up, brushing against your wrist as if testing, as if heâs afraid youâll pull away. But you donât.
Instead, you lean into him further, your lips brushing the curve of his neck, whispering into the tension that still hangs heavy between you. âPlease.â
The last shreds of Loganâs resistance snap under the cloying weight of your touch.
Heâs moving before you can even register whatâs happening, rearing up with heavy hands that land on your shoulders to push you backwards.
You fall back onto the bed with a soft gasp, bouncing on the mattress once, twice, before Logan follows. His body settles over yours like a warm blanket, thick forearms braced on either side of your head to support his weight.
"Why couldn't you sleep, honey?" he asks, dark eyes boring into yours intense enough to get your stomach churning. The green of them is deeper than normal, like fresh moss growing over stone.
âI was thinking,â you whisper, breathless. Your pulse races beneath your skin, you wonder distantly if he can hear it too.
âThinkinâ about what?â he presses, breath fanning over your lips temptingly.Â
Your brows furrow, a soft noise escaping you. You can't help but tell the truth. âAbout you.â
Logan hums, eyes trailing along your face slowly. He slots a knee between your thighs, groaning softly at the wet heat that seeps through to his jeans.
You gasp, hips bucking down instinctively. Your pussy aches desperately, leaking arousal into the cotton gusset of your panties.
His jaw clenches at the sound, muscle ticking just beneath the grey of his beard. âIs that right? You been layin' in that bed, thinkin' about me, gettinâ all worked up?"
Your face burns under his scrutiny, but you donât shy away. You arch your back, pressing yourself as close to him as possible, letting the heat of your body speak for you.
âYeah,â you breathe, the confession trembling on your lips. âI need you, it hurts.â
Logan exhales sharply, like the words knocked the air out of him. His hands slide from your shoulders, rough palms gliding down the skin of your arms before settling right under the swell of your breasts.
âWhereâs it achinâ, baby?â he asks softly, words almost getting lost in the dark of the room. âShow me.â
You let out a soft breath, reaching down to take his hand in yours.
Without breaking eye contact, you guide his hand down your trembling body until his palm rests over the apex of your thighs, where the damp fabric of your shorts clings to your swollen folds.
âHere,â you whisper, voice barely audible above the rain pounding against his window.
A low growl rumbles from deep in his chest, and his fingers press more firmly against you, feeling the slick heat thatâs soaked through the thin cotton. His eyes darken further, the green almost swallowed by the black of his pupils.
Loganâs thumb drags over your clit, slow and deliberate, coaxing a needy whimper from your lips.
âJesus,â he mutters, his voice thick. âYouâre drippinâ for me, arenât you? Didnât even need to touch you, and youâre already so fuckinâ wet.âÂ
You whimper softly, bucking your hips against his hand, desperate for more.
"I've been like this all night," you admit, your voice going high and needy. "Thinking about how good you make me feel. How much I want you."
Loganâs eyes lock onto yours, and thereâs something new swirling through them, something youâve never seen before.
A beat passesâtoo longâalmost agonizing. His free hand lifts from your hip, gently cupping your cheek, fingers brushing against your skin, like he isnât sure if he has the right to touch you like this.Â
His thumb brushes your lip, his gaze flicking to your mouth before returning to your eyes, asking for permission, even though neither of you had ever really needed it before.
"Logan," you say, the sound a little breathless, unsure of how to navigate this sudden shift, but he doesnât keep you waiting.
He closes the distance in a heartbeat, lips crashing into yours with a ferocity you didnât expect.
Itâs like the world around you falls away, leaving only the warmth of his lips, the taste of him, and the pressure of his body against yours. The raging storm outside dulling until itâs nothing but fuzzy background noise.
His kiss is rough, deep, urgent, but thereâs something more in it, a slow unraveling. Like heâs trying to carve himself into you, a permanent mark, a reminder that he was here, even if he never says it out loud.
Logan tastes like rich smoke and whiskey, the sharp edge of him mixing with the sweet burn of need. It sends your head reeling, arms coming up to circle around his neck.
You canât find the words to describe it, not with the way his fingers slide through the wetness gathering at your entrance, sending jolts of pleasure straight to your core.
Your hips thrust upward, begging for more, your body hungry for the release heâs just out of reach of giving.
âWant you inside me, Logan,â you moan desperately, slick lips brushing his with every word. âPlease.â
Logan's body stiffens against yours at the sound of your pleading, his grip tightening on your cheek like he's trying to anchor himself in the reality of what you're asking.
âShit,â he growls under his breath, his forehead pressing to yours as he closes his eyes. His chest heaves, the tension in his body palpable. "Iâ" he pauses, struggling to form the words, but you can see it in his eyes. He's conflicted, desperate, yet still hesitant.
You move against him, your body restless, your need undeniable, feeling the rigid outline of his hard cock pressed firmly against your thigh. A thick plane of heat that has your pussy clenching around the tips of his fingers.
You donât want to push him, not anymore. But youâre past the point of waiting for permission.
Your lips meet his again, softer this time, coaxing, until he finally gives in, groaning against your mouth as he kisses you back with an intensity that steals your breath.
âI want to feel you,â you whisper, your hands trailing down to the hem of his shirt, pushing it over the swell of his pecs.Â
His skin is hot under your fingertips, rough and familiar. Your fingers trail lightly across his chest, nails scratching through the salt and pepper hair dusted across his skin as you urge him closer.
âJust the tip,â Logan mutters under his breath, barely above a whisper. His voice hoarse, like heâs bargaining with himself. âJust to make you feel good, but thatâs it, understand?â
You bite your lip, the edge of frustration gnawing at you. Itâs not everything you need, not everything you want, but it's something. And right now, itâs enough.
You nod your head, hands already moving to the front of his jeans. You undo the button with shaking fingers, tugging the zipper down and pushing the worn denim away.Â
His cock springs free, already hard, leaking with the same desperation you feel. You run your fingers along his length, feeling the heat of him, the steady throb of his pulse.
Logan peels down the thin layer of your shorts, cursing under his breath when he finds you completely bare underneath, your slick pussy shining under the dim light.
You watch him, chest heaving, as he stares down at youâhis eyes dark and full of something primal, something raw.
âFuck,â he breathes, his fingers tracing the outline of your wetness. He groans low in his throat, his thumb circling your clit once before moving down, dipping inside you just barely. âYouâre perfect, baby.â
âLogan,â you whine, thighs spreading in a clear invitation. You patience is running exceedingly thin, your whole body alight with the feeling of a raging forest fire
âI know,â he mutters, placating. He takes the throbbing length of his cock in his hand, swiftly settling between your legs. âI know.â
The thick head drags through your folds, smearing pre-come along your skin and adding even more to the mess between your legs.
A quiet moan passes through your swollen lips, your muscles tightening as he slides himself along your clit. A slow back and forth movement that sends sparks shooting up your spine.
Logan grits his teeth, his breath shallow, as he finally aligns himself with your clenching hole.Â
The air around you feels charged, a taut thread stretched between anticipation and restraint. You shift your hips slightly, just enough to encourage him, your eyes locked on his as you beg him silently with your gaze.
Then, with a low growl that vibrates through you, he pushes forward, just enough to make you gasp in relief, the head of his cock sliding home in your entrance.
And though itâs only the tip, the sensation of him inside you is enough to set your world alight.Â
You can feel it, deep in your bonesâthe simmering, searing heat that makes everything else fade into the background.
Logan presses his lips to your forehead, his breath hot against your skin as he keeps his movements slow, deliberate, his hands holding your hips steady. "This is what you wanted, huh? Got you begging for it, honey," he growls softly. "Even if Iâm only givinâ you a taste."
His hips roll languidly, staying true to his word and never sinking deeper than the thick head of his cock. His hand grips the base tightly, his fist fucking slow strokes over the length of himself to where heâs spreading your pussy open.
His scarred knuckles bump against your clit with every stroke, fanning the fire building in your lower stomach.
âFeel so fuckinâ good, honey,â he groans into the skin of your neck, the pace of his hips speeding up ever so slightly. âFeels like heaven.â
You claw at the skin of his back, touch wild and desperate. It takes everything in you not to shift your hips down, to sheath the rest of his cock deep inside your and lock your ankles around his back so he can never leave again.
Loganâs lips find your neck, teeth grazing your skin as he shifts against you. âTell me you want this,â he says, his voice low, almost a command, yet laced with something tender. âTell me you want me.â
You meet his gaze without hesitation, your voice steady despite the tremble in your chest. âI want you. Iâve always wanted you.âÂ
The words come out without thought, raw and honest, and you see something in his eyes shiftâa flicker of relief, of something deeper than lust.
Logan groans like he got shot, his body shuddering above you as a low growl tears its way from his chest. He fucks into you faster, short, quick thrusts that steal all the breath from your lungs.
Sparks go off behind your closed eyes, bright white and glittering. You can feel yourself getting closer, your body trembling as you grind up against him, meeting him halfway, needing more, needing release.
âLogan,â you gasp, your hands gripping his shoulders harder, nails digging in. âIâm so close. Pleaseââ
âLet go,â he growls, his pace increasing, his body pressing harder against yours. âCome for me, sweetheart.â
With his command, you unravel, the world spinning around you as the pleasure crashes over you, leaving you breathless, gasping for air, your body quivering beneath him as he holds you through it.
Logan follows, tearing himself from the tight grip of your pussy with a sharp jerk of his hips, your name falling from his lips like a prayer as he shoots thick ropes of come over your slick folds.
Your body shakes at the feeling, a breathless whimper pulled from your slack lips at the sticky warmth of his release.
He collapses onto the mattress next to you, his body shuddering enough to match your own. The room falls into a deep silence, the only sounds your mingling breaths and the distant sound of thunder.
A sick sort of dread bursts through the sweet afterglow of your hazy mind, settling in your stomach like a lead weight. You think that this is the moment where Logan will realize what youâve done, that heâll retreat back into himself and send you away.
Send you back to your own room and leave you to lay in the cold aftermath of your own recklessness.
You brace for it, the instinct to pull away, to protect yourself from his withdrawal, but it never comes.Â
Instead, you feel his strong arm slide over your waist, pulling you closer, his body heat a stark contrast to the chill creeping in from the window.
His breath is warm against your neck as he shifts, his fingers tracing absent circles on your skin in a move thatâs so endearingly human it has your chest aching.
"Stay here tonight?" he asks, his voice rough, almost a whisper.
Your heart clenches, tears burning at your waterline at the vulnerability of his tone. It breaks the dam inside you, relief and something dangerously close to love flooding your body in a bursting rush of water.
âOf course,â you murmur, your voice shaky.
Loganâs hand tightens around you, his thumb brushing over your ribs. He presses a soft kiss to the bare skin of your shoulder, settling onto the mattress with a slow breath.
You drift to sleep more relaxed than youâve felt in years, even with the knowledge of the slow journey that lies ahead of you. It wonât be easy, it never is with Logan. You canât find it in yourself to care.
Because even though the rain falls, the desert doesnât bloom overnight.Â
And neither do you.

âFRIDAY? Please let Wanda know weâre back.â Natasha said to the AI as the Quinjet landed back at the Avengers compound before turning back towards you, helping you stand up from your seated-position, âLets get you inside baby.â
You let Nat help you off the Quinjet and as you stepped back inside into the compound, you were both greeted by the warm loving arms of Wanda.
âHi my loves,â She purred, setting a kiss to the top of Natâs forehead while taking you into her arms, titling up your head so she could inspect your fever flushed features, âyou really do look under the weather, donât you? Poor thing, how did you get so sick, hm?"
âI fell in a lake and didnât dry off properly.â You sniffled, turning away from both women to muffle a harsh-sounding cough into the sleeve of your suit.
Natasha bit her lip as she looked over you, giving Wanda a knowing nod as they both began to lead you back towards your room. The mission had lasted just over a week, the task itself hadnât been so bad but having to stay in a damp cold safehouse was less than pleasant for either of you, especially considering youâd been sick for almost 3 days now.
âYou both should take a shower, itâll freshen you up.â Wanda suggested as you reached your room, she had received Natâs many phone calls about how awful the conditions of the house were. Usually wasnât one to complain but this time it seemed like she had just reached her breaking point, âIt might help abit with your congestion too.â She added leaving you with another kiss as she let Nat lead you to the bathroom.
While the two of you were showering Wanda made sure the bed was cosy, setting up some fluffy blankets and pillows before laying out some fresh clothes for both you and Nat, âPerfect.â She smiled, admiring her work for a moment before switching on the TV turning it to Netflix in preparation for your night.
As if on cue, it was then that yourself and Natasha came out from the bathroom, a small trail of warm steam following the two of you, âPlease, you need to rest before you start feeling worst.â Nat groaned as she ruffled your hair, âDonât make me lock away your laptop.â
âWhats this about?â Wanda asked, running her hands through the strands of your wet hair as you sat at the edge of the bed.
âThis one.â Nat began, narrowing her eyes at you playfully, âwanted to get their laptop out to do some paperwork.â
Wanda feigned a gasp as you rolled your eyes, âNo way thatâs happening! You need to rest. You can forget about work until youâre feeling better.â
âFine.â You rolled your eyes again but couldnât hold back your slight smirk, especially when both Wanda and Natasha pressed kisses to both sides of your cheeks simultaneously, âGod I love you two.â
âYou better, now finish up, theres clothes on the bed behind you so get changed and then we can all cuddle up.â

~*~
You sit nervously on the lip of the bathtub, picking at the skin around your thumbnail as you wait for the timer to ring.
It feels like itâs been hours already.
âItâs okay, honey. Donât worry. If it isnât positive, weâll just keep trying.â
Steve's words donât ease your anxiety the way he thinks they do.
Your eyes are trained on the timer, counting down the seconds, though you already have a feeling of what the tests are going to say.
The alarm sounds like war drums and youâre racing for the row of sticks on the bathroom counter, your heart dropping into your stomach as you inspect them.
Positive.
Every single one of them.
Tears fill your eyes and you bury your face in your hands, shoulders shaking with sobs.
There it goes.
Your last shred of hope for gaining freedom. Out the window, just like that.
Steveâs arms come up around your shoulders, hugging you tightly.
âI knew it. I just... I knew. You smell different, your breasts are bigger. I fucking knew it.â
He nudges his nose against your cheek until you finally tilt your head back, and then his lips are on yours.
You don't fight him, too hopeless to even try anymore.
Your tears are salty, you can taste them on his lips, but he doesnât seem bothered at all by them. No, he still kisses you, walks you out of the bathroom towards the bed.
He helps you out of your clothes, his hands groping and squeezing every inch of you as if heâs never felt you before, as if youâre the first woman heâs touched in forever.
The tears are steady, continuing down your face as he pushes you gently onto the bed, his lips trailing over your inner thighs while his eyes raise to yours.
âWeâre gonna have another baby, honey. I always knew your body was perfect. Absolutely made for me. And now youâre gonna give me another baby. Youâre gonna grow all nice and round...â He trails off, his eyes dark and full of lust as he gazes down at your stomach as if picturing you pregnant again.
âCâmon, darling. We need to celebrate.â He sheds his clothes so that youâre both naked, his warm body pressed tightly against yours, though it does little to quell the shivers of distress rolling down your spine.
Pregnant. Again.
He places kiss after kiss onto your neck, trailing down to your breasts and halting there.
âCanât wait for you to be nice and big again, all full and round because of me. Fuck, canât wait âtill you start makinâ milk again, honey.â
His lips latch around your nipple, sucking hard enough to make your back arch, a whine of pain and pleasure rolling out of your mouth.
âThatâs it. Mâgonna make you feel nice, honey. Gonna make you feel loved. You know I love you, huh? Yeah. I do.â
His words make your stomach twist in uncomfortable knots, and you close your eyes to avoid the intensity of his gaze. You focus instead on the feel of his body against yours, nice and warm and heavy.
One of his hands snakes between your legs, toying with your clit and dipping into your heat to prepare you for his cock.
âGetting all wet and messy for me, huh?â Your eyes remain shut, blocking out his face, the face of the man whoâs done so many atrocious things to you.
He thrusts his fingers in and out rather slowly, dragging them against your sensitive walls until he deems you ready enough for him, though thereâs no way to truly be ready for him.
He positions himself between your legs, perched on his haunches while his hands rub over your thighs gently.
âCanât wait for you to have my baby, sweetheart. Gonna watch you get all nice and full, bring another life into this world for me. Thatâs what youâre here for, darling.â
He slides his manhood through your folds, coating himself in your essence before slowly pushing into you, forcing every inch into your tight wet heat.
Your mouth drops open, brows pulling together at the stretch of him so deep inside of you, pushing against every resistance your body brings forth. He forces himself into you until heâs seated comfortably, cock held tightly by your fluttering walls.
âFuck, feel that. Feel you. So tight... tight ân wet. Fuck... Fuck...â
He pulls back then pushes in, each thrust slow and precise and far too good. You hate how good he makes you feel, how well he knows your body. You hate how good you feel beneath him, how right it feels to be with him, to be held in his arms.
And you fucking hate him for making you enjoy a single second of time spent with him.
His thrusts speed up until heâs hammering his hips into yours, each movement of his hips forcing his cock to press against your cervix painfully, but the pain is welcome.
Itâs what you deserve for enjoying it.
A soft moan falls from your lips when he drops his hand between your legs, fingers working your clit with practiced ease.
Heâs spent months learning and re-learning your body, he knows you almost as well as he knows himself, and if the only way you want him is physically then fine, but heâs going to make that want stronger than your hatred for him.
âO-oh god...â Your eyes squeeze shut as the edge creeps closer, each pass of his thumb on your clit and his cock between your walls bringing it so much nearer.
âYou gonna cum for me, honey? Yeah? Gonna be my good girl?â You nod, if only so he doesnât stop.
âFuck, you feel so good, darling... so good.â He picks up speed, and you get lost in your orgasm like a leaf in a windstorm.
It picks you up and pulls you from reality. Bliss clouds your mind, your senses, and nothing matters except the rolling waves of pleasure flooding you.
âJust like that, honey... fuck.â
He drops his head into the crook of your neck, breaths hot and damp against your skin as he follows you into the blissful embrace.
His hips stutter to a stop, warmth painting your walls and filling you to the brim, just like he always does.
He pants against you, his mind consumed with obsession, adoration, love. He finally has you back in his arms. Finally gets to rebuild his family, get the happy ending heâs been craving.
Heâs not gonna give it up.
Youâre right where you belong.
~*~
He waits an absurdly long time before telling anyone.
He doesnât want anyone to know, especially not Nat. Bucky, sure, he can know, but not Nat. Not after the way she kept so many secrets for so long.
It isnât until you start showing -about two months after the positive tests- that he finally tells the two of them the good news, inviting them over to help set up the baby's room and have a nice night with his family.
Bucky and Steve have just finished painting the walls yellow, a neutral baby colour that you suggested.
Steve insists that you sit slightly outside the room, even though both windows are open and a fan is going, the paint specifically bought because itâs non-toxic.
But you donât argue. Youâll sit as far away from them as possible.
Sarahâs in your lap, her eyes focused on the colouring book on the ground in front of her, her tongue poking out between her lips as she tries to stay inside the lines.
âAlright. Thatâs the crib all done. Honey, you wanna grab us a drink?â
Your head snaps up at Steveâs request, and you nod, rising to your feet and instinctively dropping a hand to your small bump.
âCan I help?â Sarah asks excitedly, bouncing up onto her toes and following you down the stairs.
âOf course. You wanna bring this up to Uncle Bucky?â
You pour two glasses of lemonade, one for the blond and one for the brunet.
âCan I have some?â You nod, grabbing a cup for her as she starts carefully up the stairs with the glass.
âNeed a hand?â You stiffen, eyes slowly raising to the redheadâs.
âNo.â
She sighs, taking a seat at the counter.
âJust hear me out, (Y/n), please. I just... I just wanna explain. Please.â You grind your teeth together at her.
âWhat could you possibly have to say to me? How could you possibly explain the way you betrayed me? Betrayed Sarah? You got my dad killed, Natasha, and now Iâm pregnant again.â
She looks so lost, so desperate, but it doesnât change the fact that itâs her fault youâre here.
"Just please, (Y/n). Please.â Thereâs nothing you can really do to stop her. Itâs obvious that Bucky and Steve would side with her over you in a heartbeat.
âI never breathed a single word of your whereabouts to anyone, I swear. Not even my therapist. I swear on my life, (Y/n) I never told anyone where to find you.â
You look up at her and shake your head.
âYou were the only other person who knew where we were hiding.â
She lets out a shaky breath and looks away from your eyes.
âAfter what happened at the cabin I started going to therapy. Saw a good therapist who helped me get through a lot of stuff. James was going to therapy too, we were getting better together.â
You donât think any therapy in the world will change the fact that James Barnes is a monster through and through, but you donât say that to her. No, you let her continue.
âI started getting better. James did too. We got back to work, to helping people, Â being the good guys.â
She pauses, sniffling then scrubbing at her cheek.
âI told him that uh, one of my friends had a baby and that spending time around them made me want one too. It upset me because that... thatâs a dream that Iâll never be able to have. Or, I thought it was.â A smile tugs at the corner of her mouth, but it lacks any positive emotions behind it.
âHe told me about this experimental procedure that they started doing in Switzerland. Reversals for female sterilization. Highly experimental but... he said I should give it a shot. The worst that would happen would be... well... no worse than what Iâve had to live with for most of my life.â
She crosses her arms over her chest, not in defiance but in comfort. Self-comfort, and for a moment you feel bad for her.
âI talked it over with Bucky. Told him about how much I wanted a baby, a little mini version of him or I, and he was on board. Said he wished I told him sooner.â She chuckles, shaking her head fondly at the memory.
âThatâs when I left for that while, remember?â You nod.
She missed Christmas and you were only slightly devastated at having to spend the holiday alone.
âI got the procedure done. Was on bed rest for a while after and even after I was given a clean bill of health I... I didnât want to try. I was too nervous. Afraid that it wouldn't work but more afraid that it would.â
She takes a deep breath, her eyes squeezed shut tightly as she recounts the events that occurred leading up to your abduction. Her betrayal.
âIt uh... it took three months but we conceived. I was finally pregnant.â She smiles a tearful, wet smile at you and your own eyes prickle with tears as you realize that her story wonât have a happy ending.
Your mind immediately goes to the worst things you can think of, ranging from miscarriage to murder, and you find yourself wanting to call Sarah down away from her father.
âI was ecstatic, (Y/n). I was so fucking happy.â Her eyes are filled with a type of sorrow that youâre far too familiar with. One youâve felt too much in your short life.
âI told my shrink about it, told him how happy I was. Bucky and I cried together when we found out cause... we were finally gonna be parents. Thatâs around the time when I started coming by more often. What, sic months ago? Yeah, right around then. I uh, I wanted to wait until I was showing more to tell you, but...â She trails off, her face falling even more and tears trailing down her cheeks.
âThatâs around the same time when Bucky started seeing Steve more. Spent less and less time at home with me and more time with Steve. I uh, got a call one day from his therapist, asking if everything was okay because she hadnât seen him in weeks. Thatâs when I knew something wasnât right. We hadnât spoken to Steve since the cabin incident and then Bucky was spending every waking moment with him.â
She stops speaking, her fingers trembling and her bottom lip wobbling.
âWhat happened to the baby?â You ask softly, needing to know who hurt her, who caused it.
She exhales deeply and slowly opens her eyes.
âI uh, I guess Bucky mustâve told him. And uh... if Steve canât have his happily ever after then no one can.â
My heart drops into my stomach.
âWhat did he do?â
She doesnât answer right away. No, instead she picks at her fingers for a long moment.
âDid you know... that drinking certain teas can cause a miscarriage? Because I didnât.â You furrow your brows, trying to figure out what she means until it dawns on you.
âHe made you drink it?â Youâre not sure which âheâ youâre talking about, but you know it mustâve been at least one, if not both of them.
âThe last time I uh, set foot in this house before that dinner we had together... he invited us over for drinks and to watch the game. He made me some tea and asked me why I thought it was okay to keep secrets from him. I didnât understand what he meant at the time but... that hardly matters. A few days later I started bleeding. A lot. I was in the infirmary for days on end only to find out that heâd poisoned my baby.â
She sniffles again and wipes her cheeks with the back of her hand.
âAfter that, he didnât trust me, only trusted Bucky. Went to my therapist and took his notes, beat answers out of him when he refused to speak. Iâm assuming they bugged me o-or something. Or followed my licence plate, searched through my history to figure it out."
Her candy apple green eyes meet yours, vibrant and staring directly into your soul with passion and fire rivalling that of a forest fire.
âI never breathed a single word of you or Sarah to anyone. Steve figured it out on his own, after almost killing my therapist, and killing my baby. I never said anything, I swear. On the life of my child, I didnât say a thing.â
Your breaths come in shallow bursts, anxiety spiking as you shake your head.
âI-I donât...â She puts a gentle hand on your shoulder and nods, guiding you towards the couch.
âIâm sorry. But thatâs... thatâs the truth. Steve is a monster, and heâs got Bucky following him mindlessly. I donât... I donât know what to do or who to turn to.â
You open your mouth to speak, but the sound of feet trudging down the stairs cuts you off.
âEverything alright down here?â Steve asks, reaching for his glass of lemonade but pausing when he sees the look of distress on your face.
His eyes flutter between you and Nat before he takes a seat beside you, grabbing your hand gently in his.
âHoney? You okay?â
You shake your head, trying to rid it of the overwhelming thoughts.
âMommy?â The three of you look up as Sarah bounds down the stairs, climbing into your lap.
âWhereâs my juice?â You pick her up and rest her on your hip as you stand up, walking into the kitchen to grab her cup of juice and distance yourself from the people on the couch.
Bucky comes down the stairs next, confused and wondering where everyone went.
His eyes find Natashaâs first, the poorly masked sorrow colouring her features, and his heart aches.
Sarah drinks her lemonade quickly, making a loud âahhâ sound once sheâs devoured the last drop.
âCan we have pizza for dinner?â She asks eagerly, looking up at you with big blue eyes.
You swallow hard then nod, your eyes slowly raising to Steveâs as he walks over to you.
âPizza?â You ask softly, turning back to your daughter when he nods.
âOf course.â She squeals excitedly, wrapping her arms around your neck and hugging you tightly.
You hug her closer to your body, burying your face in her hair as a tear slips down your cheek.
You knew he was a bad man, but you never thought heâd hurt a child. That wouldâve been his niece or nephew, a friend for Sarah and your new baby. But no, he decided that Natasha didnât deserve her happy ending, neither did Bucky.
Natasha is one of the few friends youâve ever had, and the fact that heâd hurt her that way, kill off her one dream, is disgusting.
It makes you wonder what heâll do to you, or even Sarah.
You thought hurting kids was something Steve would never do, but now youâre not so sure.

---------Â
the rules of the game were simple, you either could do a dare that one of the players would choose or you'd have to lose an article of clothing. when tony uttered out the idea of the game, your drunken mind had thought it was a fun idea. that was until you were down to your bra and sweatpants, holding your arms close to your chest to prevent their lingering gaze.
it was your turn again, you figured you'd just do the dare that tony chose, anything would be better than having to lose your pants but when he uttered out that she dared you to kiss Natasha, you felt defeated. "and not a little kiss, I wanna see full-on tongue action." a scoff fell past Natasha's lips as she glared at the man. "you're a dick," she commented.
tony knew how Natasha felt about you, she made it very obvious that you were off limits as soon as you entered the compound, and while they respected that, they had been also constantly dropping little hints for your oblivious ass. you finally glanced over at Natasha, meeting her eyes.
"honestly nat, I'm not trying to lose any more of my clothes." she looked deflated when sam gave her a thumbs up causing you to grow suspicious but you didn't question it. Â
a sigh slipped past Natasha's lips as she rose from her seat to sit directly in front of you, offering you a forced smile. this whole situation had been a lot for Natasha but she tried to ignore the pound in her heart as you gazed at her. "come on! we don't have all day." tony slurred out, if you were honest this wasn't your ideal way of making Natasha kiss you but youâd take anything you could get.
Natasha let out a soft huff, her hands coming up to cup your cheeks but as she leaned closer and watched your eyes flutter shut, she couldn't do it. "I'm sorry, I can't kiss you," she uttered, her hands fell away from your cheeks and rest gently on your thighs instead. your eyebrows knitted together in confusion, staring up at the woman. you couldn't say you weren't offended, it had been clear on your face.
"Why?" you scoffed out, it was just a simple dare and she couldn't seem to even stomach the idea of it. the silence in the room made your cheeks warm up as you pulled yourself away from her. "it's not supposed to happen like this." she stated bluntly before her eyes widened at the obviousness that she managed to let slip past her lips, now it was clear that she thought about it before.
she couldn't be more embarrassed when you glanced back over at her. "what?" you chuckled out, raising your eyebrow in question. "no... that's not what I meant." she whispered, her gaze snapping down to her fingers before you could even question her, the woman shot up and yelled out that she wasn't gonna play this stupid game anymore.
the silence in the room had been deafening and you couldn't stand it. it was so awkward you just wanted to crawl into a hole and die. "Thanks a lot, tony," you whispered before tugging on your shirt and leaving the living room the same way Natasha just had. something in your mind yelled for you to make a beeline to Natasha's room but you fought the urge and instead settled on your room. you just wanted to sleep all this off.
------- the soft knock had been the thing that made you shoot up from your sleep. you glanced over at your clock reading that it was nearly 4 in the morning so why was someone knocking on your bedroom door? you let a groan out as you rubbed your eyes before shouting for the person to just come in. when Natasha peeked her head into your room, you felt any sort of annoyance melt away in an instant.
"nat, do you know what time it is?" you whispered causing an apology to slip past her lips but you just waved her off as you moved over in your bed to give her some space to lay. when you patted the spot beside you, she hesitated for a moment which was a first for Natasha. she'd always been so confident before. "I feel like we should talk..." the woman trailed off as she settled in beside you. you nodded, giving the woman your full attention. she stared at you, finding your eyes despite the darkness that surrounded the two of you.
"what I meant..." she couldn't seem to find her words at all. they were all caught in her throat and the longer you gazed at her, the bigger the lump in her throat felt. "mhm?" you hummed out, your eyes heavy from the lack of sleep. when your eyes fluttered closed it gave Natasha the wave of confidence she needed because now she did not have to look you in the eyes as she spat out a confession instead she inched forward and before you could think, she crashed her lips against yours.
a gasp slip past your lips as the girl's lips moved hard against yours. your hands quickly found her cheeks, tugging her closer to you. you thought about kissing Natasha a lot but now that you were actually doing it, it was so much better than you could've ever imagined. she adjusted herself so that her body could hover over yours, her hands resting on either side of your head.
the kiss itself was the most passionate anyone had ever kissed you before, it made your jaw burn and the pounding in between your thighs was prominent. she pulled away for a moment to catch her breath, her forehead coming to rest against yours softly. you already missed the feeling of her lips on yours. she let out a soft hum before pecking your lips softly a few times. you wondered if it was over, judging by the softness of the kisses but then they trailed down your jaw before sucking lightly on the skin of your neck. her hands moved slightly to fumble with your sweatpants string, undoing them quickly and tugging them down your waist.
she had to move off of you slightly to get your pants off but once they were off she repositioned herself between your parted thighs. you let out a shaky breath easing into the feeling of her fingers brushing against your core. when she applied a little bit of pressure to her actions, a soft moan ripped through your body, jerking your hips up against her hand. she pulled away from your neck, her gaze meeting yours for a moment. she was in awe at the look on your face. your eyes were squeezed shut, lips parted.
she continued her moments against you until she could feel the wetness that damped the fabric and that's when she decided to push aside your panties. the feeling of her fingers against your bare core made knots in your stomach. her fingers were gentle as she toyed with your clit, feeling your juices coat her fingers. your breathing was shaky as your hands wrapped around the woman, nails digging into her spine. her lips met yours, muffling your moan when she fit her fingers into your folds.
the whole thing was pure ecstasy, you would hardly think straight as she pumped her fingers into you. she groaned at the tightness of you, loving the way you felt against her fingers. it was so late but you felt more awake than ever as you were engulfed in pleasure especially when she picked up the speed of her fingers. you were relentlessly moaning into her mouth, your body craving more and more of the woman.
it wasn't until she began curling her fingers inside of you did your body shake from the intensity of it all. she knew you were close so she gave it her all and she knew you finished when a moan erupted from your lips and your limbs became limp. she let out a soft sigh as she pulled her fingers from you, adjusting your panties so they could cover you up again.
your eyes had yet to flutter open even when she pressed a soft kiss to your forehead, moving off of you to rest beside you instead. "are you okay?" she asked softly, tugging the blanket over the both of you. you only hummed out, reluctantly forcing your eyes open. "yeah." you uttered, glancing over at the redhead before a dopey smile formed on your lips. she chuckled lightly as she opened her arms for you.
"come here, sleepyhead."

Before Civil War.
âYou do realize you arenât the only one with a tragic past, right?â You questioned, feeling heat bubbling up inside, while you felt a flush feeling dancing along your cheeks.
Out of your peripheral vision, you were able to see Loki roll his eyes.
âIf you keep rolling your eyes, theyâre going to get stuck up there.â You spat, turning around and leaning against the counter.
A chorus of âOooâsâ sounded through the kitchen, followed by snickers.
Glancing up, you locked eyes with Natasha who in turn, raised a questioning eyebrow at you. Rolling your eyes, you scoffed silently to yourself. Without her verbally questioning, you knew she was asking why the sudden need to confront the Asgardian God.
Shaking your head, you pushed the fluttering feeling down that had begun bubbling up.
It was no secret that Loki was on his redemption tour. In fact, word around the office had been that all the females along with some men, had began fawning over him. Naturally, the sudden lustful gazes and sultry conversations had gone to his head.
Loki was quick to develop a sudden arrogance after he had found out the new chatter around him. Being with the Avengers since the beginning along with being a friend of Thor, you knew all the upâs and downâs that surrounded him. Keeping your opinion to yourself, you had been on his side since you could remember. However, with everyone on his bandwagon, you felt jealous bubble up inside.
âDoes your head ever get tired of all the hot air that comes out of your mouth?â Loki shot back, earning a sharp elbow from Thor.
Snapping your head in his direction, you glared at him. âYou know what? Fuck you.â
Frowning you furrowed your eyebrows together, before turning on the balls of your feet and storming out of the kitchen. Feeling tears welling up in yours, you rapidly made your way to your room. Just in time for the tears to begin cascading down your cheeks. Whenever Loki attacked someone, he knew their weaknesses and made sure to do the most damage. After a while, you situated yourself on your bed and letting sleep overwhelm you.
Jolting awake, your heart rapidly beated out of your chest as the sound of knocking on your door, captured your attention.
Gasping, you turned to face your door before steadily getting to your feet. Opening your door, your jaw fell slack as you stared at the person before you. Opening and closing your mouth a few times, you decided it would be better to step aside and allow them in.
Loki stood awkwardly in the middle of your room. His hands firm by his side. Shutting the door, you leaned against it as you stared at Loki with disbelief. Neither of you wanted to be the first to break the silence.
Standing before you, he glanced around your room, seemly taking in your belongings. Clearing his throat, he turned around to face you.
âI⌠I uhâŚâ His voice trailed off as he began his light blueberry eyes capturing Y/E/C ones. As you gazed at each other, you were able to see an underlying emotion, that you werenât sure he was able to express until now.
Coming to your senses, you felt your walls hold steadily as you began fearing letting them down.
âIfâŚIf youâve come here to apologize..â Your voice trailed off. Gazing down at your hands, you began picking at your cuticle bed. One of your many habits you had. âSave it.â
Dropping his gaze to his feet, his head hung low. The air began holding silent cries that neither would feel. Lost words that would never be spoken. All emotion evaporing into nothingness.
âI think you should go.â You mumbled at Loki. Not daring to glance at him, you rushed towards the bathroom before shutting the door without another word. Putting the toilet seat down, you perched yourself on it. Placing your elbows on your knees, you lowered your head into your hands. Tears began welling up in yours at your loss of emotions.
ââ
After Civil War. Cue Black Widow Era, also cue spoilers.
âNat.â You hissed as you stood before Natasha.
Responding with hum she placed the phone she had just been talking into on the ledge. Glancing around she subtly slide it off the ledge and into the water.
âNatasha!â You demanded.
âWhat!â She grumbled.
âWhy do you insist on taunting them?â
Scoffing, she rolled her eyes. âThe same reason, you and reindeer games keep dancing around your feelings for one another.â She shrugged.
âWe donât have feelings for-â
Cutting you off she let out a humorless chuckle. âWhatever helps you sleep at night.â
Letting your jaw hang open slightly, any argument you had thought of, instantly dying in your throat. Scrunching your eyebrows together you were at a loss for words.
âWeâŚWe donât like each other.â Your attempted to argue.
âRight.â She spoke in disbelief. Turning to gaze at the mountains, you heard her mumbled something in Russian under her breath.
âWhat-â
âIf thatâs true,â Natasha turned her attention back towards you. âThen why is he here?â
Reflecting on her question, you were able to respond when you sensed a presence approaching you from behind. Turning on your heels, you faced the perpetrator.
âHello, love.â Loki greeted, his eyes sparkling as he spoke. A grin making itâs way to his lips.
A fluttering feeling bubbled inside your stomach. Your palms rapidly growing damp. Without much thought, you propelled yourself into his arms. Your arms wrapping around his shoulders gently yanking him into you. It wasnât long before you felt a rumble in his chest from his chuckling. Loki wrapped his arms around your waist, holding you closer than normal. He nuzzled his face into the crook of your neck, catching the scent of your shampoo that he longed to smell again.
âItâs been too long.â
Moving to pull away, Loki tightened his arms preventing from the slight distance between you. âThat it has.â You responded with a nod.
After the events of that night in your room, Loki had gone above and beyond to prove he was worthy of your forgiveness. After awhile his attempts at forgiveness, lead to a blossom in friendship.
âHow is space?â You questioned after he reluctantly allowed you to pull away.
âSpaceâŚSpace is good.â He spoke nodding his head.
Grinning at him, you couldnât stop thinking that it was all a dream. One that was sweet, the kind that you donât want to wake up from because it seems too good to be true, especially because it usually is.
âWhat are you doing here?â You regretted asking as soon as you spoke.
âIâŚâ His voice trailed off as he seemed to reflect on the question.
Cutting him off, Natasha made her way beside you both. âWe have to go.â She spoke, her voice holding back a slight panic that you could see bubbling up behind her strong demeanor.
Snapping your head in Lokiâs direction you were about to saying your goodbye, when she cut you off.
âAll of us.â
Nodding your head, you ahout to question her when she cut you off once again.
âNo time. Come on!â
ââ
After finding Yelena, the four of you set off on a venture to search for their so called, mother and father. Both girls held twenty years worth of anger and bitterness, especially aimed at each other.
Yelena was the helicopter pilot for the mission, while Natasha was the muscle and brains. More often than not settling in the shot gun rider seat. Thus, leaving you and Loki alone in the back.
Sitting side by side, you were jostled together before you were thrown against his side.
Sending you a grin, he silently let you know he didnât much mind the non existent proximity between you. Neither of you spoke much on the flight, however you often witnessed the cringeworthy interaction between Alexei and both girls.
ââ
After arriving at Melinaâs little farm, you had begun to feel awkward. There was a sense of family as well as anger. Rightfully so, both girls had been subjected to torture and used as weapons forgoing most of their lives.
Standing idly in the kitchen, Natasha appeared beside you. Jumping at her sudden presence you placed a hand over your heart.
âGeez, Nat! Donât do that!â You cautioned. âYou scared me!â
Natasha giggled at your reaction. After the moment quickly died down, she mirrored your stance of leaning against the counters.
Nudging your shoulder with hers, she had a smirk plastered upon the seams of her lips.
âDo you believe me now?â
Tilting your head, you gazed at her with question. âAbout?â
Rolling her eyes, she let out a groan. âAbout Loki sharing the feelings you have for him.â
Scoffing you shook your head. âI donât really need a monologue on that.â
âSeems to me that you do.â
Standing together, you allowed a blanket of silence to overwhelm you.
âYou should give him a chance.â She muttered quietly.
If it hadnât been eerily quiet in the kitchen, you wouldnât have heard her.
âIâŚWhat?â You gasped.
âDonât make me say it.â She moaned.
âSay what?â
Letting out a defeated sigh, she shook her head. âI think heâs a good guy.â
âWhat do you-â
Before you had the chance to question her, Loki rushed into the kitchen. His eyes filled with bewilderment. He came off frazzled.
âAre you okay?â You questioned suddenly forgetting about the question you had partially spoke to Natasha.
âTheyâre here-â
Luminescent lights from outside suddenly shone inside. Turning to face the lights, you and Natasha held a startling gaze.
Something you hadnât felt since reclaiming your freedom from the Widow program washed over you. Judging by Natashaâs features that seemed to be mirroring yours, you knew she had the same feeling.
Fear.

Can we get a fic with Natasha fucking carol mercilessly and the Reader is cuffed to a chair watchind!!!
Natasha Romanoff X Carol Danvers X FemReader - CUFFED
Synopsis: I think the request says it all really đ¤ˇââď¸
Warnings: 18+ content, smut, restraints, slight Dom/sub undertones if you squint
Words: 970
Reluctantly you had to admit it; this truly was the most wonderful form of torture. Despite knowing it would do nothing to help your situation, you tugged on the leather cuffs that secured you to each of the arms of the chair you currently found yourself stuck in. You supposed it was more for something to do than anything, finding the fact you could literally do nothing the most frustrating thing about your predicament. You wanted to shift in your seat slightly. Wipe at your face that was burning hot now, beads of sweat starting to gather at your temples. Squeeze your thighs together maybe to alleviate some of the pressure.Â
The tight cuffs around your ankles anchoring you to the front legs of the old wooden chair made sure none of that was possible. Or should you say Natasha had made sure of that. She could have at least given you a nicer chair to sit in, one that didnât look like it had been pulled out of an old classroom from the previous century. It was out of place in the room, everything else about Natashaâs bedroom predicatably nice. Even the smaller details were perfect; from the many candles that were illuminating the scene before you, to the beautiful silk bedsheets that covered the bed the other women were occupying.
God you wanted to move. But looking down and trying to work out an escape would mean tearing your eyes away from them. And the only thing worse than being made to watch would be not being able to watch.Â
Everything was overwhelming to the senses. The air in the room was hot and stuffy after what felt like hours of frantic heavy breathing. Your ears rang with every sound that hit them. Pants for air. Moans of pleasure. The dark, smug chuckle of a woman who knew she was fucking someone good. The blood pulsing and ringing in your own ears as your body burned with arousal. The wet, filthy noises of the strap sinking in and out at a bruising pace.
You hated the way they were acting like you werenât even in the room. Neither woman so much as glancing in your direction no matter how much you tried to move or how many desperate whimpers left your lips. You hated it and yet you couldnât get enough of it.
Hoping things were about to change, you held your breath and watched quietly as for the first time that evening, Natasha slowed her pace to a stop and gave Carol a second of respite. The blonde looked absolutely spent, sucking in short, shallow breaths as she took the opportunity to push damp hair out of her face and wipe at her forehead. You waited patiently for what would happen next, hoping Natasha would acknowledge you, allow Carol to come over and release you from your restraints, that one of them would touch you, kiss you, look at you, anything. But it never came.
Instead you were left wanting, bunching your eyes closed for a second in frustration as you clenched and unclenched your fists. Natasha smirked, the only real sign that she wasnât oblivious to your torment in the corner, gripping the underside of Carolâs thighs and pushing her further up the bed on her back. Natasha moved with her, shuffling forward on her knees and settling herself back between the other womanâs legs as she leaned down to grip Carolâs face harshly between her fingers and connect their lips.Â
You were certain you started to salivate at the sight, mouth hanging slightly agape in desperate need for those to be your lips that Natasha was pushing her tongue through. The kiss looked sloppy and messy, tongues moving together as Natasha pinched her fingers harder into Carolâs cheeks and took control of the embrace.
The kiss still didnât do much in quietening the noise in the room, especially when the red head gave a rough thrust forward and pushed the strap back into Carol who released the loudest groan yet into Natashaâs mouth. The sound was incredible, the sight even more so as you swallowed the lump that had formed in your throat and continued to watch eagerly. You were so turned on it was bordering on uncomfortable, unable to control the fruitless attempts of wriggling and squirming in your seat.
Despite the frustration, the downright torture of what was unfolding, you couldnât think of anything youâd rather watch. Your eyes were drawn to everything, each sight sending another shiver down your spine or a twinge between your legs. You were drinking in every detail as if your life depended on it.
The way Carolâs hands had travelled above her head, gripping the sheets beneath her in a vice grip as Natasha appeared to be showing absolutely no mercy. The blondes mouth hung open, moans, whimpers and pleas leaving her with more frequency now. The rhythm of Natashaâs hips was hypnotising, hitting Carol with smooth, deep strokes that seemed to have Carolâs eyes literally rolling back into her head. The way both womenâs skin glistened in the candlelight, toned muscles and soft flesh shimmering with a sheen of sweat that was evidence of just how long and how good Natasha had been fucking Carol.
Carol cried out, loud, the sound of Natashaâs name echoing off the walls and sending a shudder through your body as the red head reached down to stroke her thumb over Carolâs clit. Your jaw was starting to ache from clenching it, heart hammering now and white crescents marking your palms from balling your hands into fists. You could tell that Carol was getting close, her grip tightening on the sheets and her thighs starting to tremble either side of Natashaâs waist.
Natasha seemed to sense it too, somehow managing to pick up her bruising pace further as she leaned down to press her mouth against Carolâs.
âYou gonna come for me?â taunted Natasha, a knowing smirk painting her lips as she circled her thumb more firmly over Carolâs clit.
The blonde nodded her head hurriedly, only able to offer a loud moan in response.
Natashaâs grin broadened, âThen you better make sure I hear how good I make you come.â
The way Natasha had groaned the words into Carolâs mouth, the way Carol had closed her eyes and whimpered in response, the way those words had to be for your benefit. It was all too much and yet somehow not enough. You were desperate now, and the only thing you wanted more than for someone to pay you attention, was to watch Natasha fuck Carol until she came.
Carolâs hands moved from the sheets to the top of Natashaâs thighs, fingers sinking in to her skin firmly as a silent plea not to let up. That she could take it and she needed the other woman to continue pretty much pounding her into the mattress. Not that Natasha had any intention of doing otherwise, the hand that wasnât busy stroking over Carolâs clit coming up to grip at the headboard that was rattling and creaking with every rough thrust forward.
Your mouth was definitely watering now, your own breathing getting heavier and skin flushing hotter than you could have imagined. You were thirsty for it, maybe more so than Carol; a heavy feeling in the pit of your stomach and a pressure between your legs that you knew wasnât going to be relieved until you got what you wanted. The twitch in Carolâs fingers and the increased frequency of her moans told you it wouldnât be long.
âThatâs it.â encouraged Natasha, a strain to her own words now as the effort of her work started to take its toll on her breathing, âCome on baby, youâre doing so good.â
Carol could do nothing but take it, too far gone to be able to focus on anything but how good it felt. Every hard, deep thrust from Natasha hitting her just right. She was unsure how the red head was managing to stroke over her clit so perfectly and accurately with how wet she surely was by now but wasnât about to complain. She could feel Natashaâs eyes burning into her with a look of pure desire and fascination, the desperation to watch her as her orgasm hit only turning her on further.
âOh my god Nat, Iâm gonna come.â Carol sounded half way between surprised and relieved, the words no more than a strangled cry at this point as her grip tightened on Natashaâs thighs and she bucked her hips up to meet the other womanâs movements, âJesus ... yes, yes, Iâm coming.â
You actually whined, features scrunching up in some sort of mixture of intense pleasure and frustration. Your arms twisted and turned in the restraints, tugging at them hopelessly as you shifted back and forth in your seat, wanting more than anything to be able to move more. If you could just have one free hand, one hand to reach into the waistband of your underwear and relieve some of the pressure.
A loud moan from Carol and a satisfied sound from Natasha distracted you from your turmoil momentarily, your mouth hanging open and a gasp caught in your throat as you watched another rough thrust from Natasha push Carol over the edge. You could do nothing but watch; Carolâs back arching off the bed, fingers digging painfully into Natashaâs thighs and toes curling into the bed sheets as she released a final groan of Natashaâs name.
âFucking Christ.â your words came out as barely a whisper, too awestruck to even register the fact you had spoken aloud. It was hideous to be so powerless and so left out but damn if it wasnât one of the most magnificent things youâd ever seen.
Carol was gulping in air, finally releasing Natashaâs thighs from her grip and raising her hands to her face as she panted for breath. She was sporting a grin that showed just how good the other woman had made her feel, a soft moan spilling from her lips as Natasha raised her hips enough to slowly remove the strap from her pussy.
âMy god.â chuckled Carol, removing her hands from her face and tugging Natasha down to her level to connect their lips.
Natasha indulged the embrace for a moment before tilting her face a fraction to break the kiss, âGood?â
Carol nodded, pecking Natashaâs lips again, âSo fucking good.â
âYou think ... anyone else deserves the same?â asked Natasha.
You had been sitting impatiently but silently, knowing Natasha well enough that if you wanted something, begging and pleading was the worst tactic you could try. But at the red heads words, your head snapped up eagerly. Of course you were desperate by now, your skin still burning hot and breathing uneven despite the fact that the other women seemed to have calmed somewhat. You were sure you must have soaked through your underwear and onto the seat below you by now, your wrists sore from working against the restraints that held you in place.
Carol hummed in thought, one hand reaching up to push Natashaâs hair out of her face, âI donât know ... I suppose she has behaved quite well while we had our fun.â
Finally. Finally they acknowledged you. Natasha turning her head to skim her eyes over you in the corner. It was obvious how much of a state you were in and she couldnât help but smirk at the sight.
Leaning down to press a kiss to a Carolâs temple, Natashaâs eyes remained locked with yours as she spoke quietly, âLet her out of those cuffs then Captain.â

Afterglow (A Bucky Barnes AU fan fiction) - Chapter 19
Afterglow chapters
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x reader
CHAPTER NINETEEN
The atmosphere changed in a snap. Everyone had felt it, except Peter.
Peter's early arrival had you all floored, especially you and Bucky. Oblivious to Peter, you were both dumbfounded, like deer caught in headlights. But this wasn't the best time to process what was going to happen next. You had to think off your feet. Yoy had to show Peter that there was no more than surprise in your faces.
Peter was finally here. That's what matters right now.
The instrumentals of Hungry Eyes kept playing in the background. Bucky's microphone created a feedback sound once he let it rest on his sides, making you all wince. Peter ditched his bags (which magically doubled), and strode towards you, engulfing you in a hug. Although he reeked of damp, mossy grass, and wood, you hugged him back.
"I got in early! How great is that?" He greeted you with enthusiasm laced in his voice. "Oh god, I've missed you, y/n!" He said into your ear.
The rest of the group, laid back on their comfortable seats, watched the whole thing unfold in front of their very eyes. Youâd definitely pay to see Nat's look on her face right now.
"Yeah, you did!" you patted his back before pulling away, giving him the best smile you could do. "I've missed you, too. Welcome back, Parker. It's been quite a damn week without you."
Bucky was solid as a rock before Peter moved towards his spot (Bucky gave me a quick glance and a wry smile which you then returned; afterwards, you bit your lip looking at the exchange between the two) and hugged him tight as they exchanged their formalities. "It's nice to have you back, Peter."
"It is nice to be back." Peter replied, pulling away. "Whew, that one week went by real slow, huh? Feels like ages!"
"Yeah." Bucky glanced at you one more time. This time, it was longer. "No kidding."
"Alright everyone, it's nice to see you all together."
The group mumbled agreeably.
"Sam," Peter acknowledged, doing his signature finger gun pointed towards him, "I don't even know why you're here but I will as soon as I take a quick shower right upstairs and get these bags sorted out."
"You might want to take a long one there, buddy." Sam breathed out, fanning the air. "You smell like a caveman."
"Sam." You scolded, shaking your head.
"Yes, babydoll?" He jeered, which you and Bucky didn't like.
Most especially Bucky.
And Peter as well.
You gave Sam a look, hidden from Peter's view, of course, careful not to raise any kind of suspicion. But boy, was Sam giving you and Bucky a hard time. The group knew why he called you that, of course. But not Peter.
"Babydoll?" Peter repeated, a confused expression crossing his face as he turned towards you. "Why is he calling you that ridiculous nickname?"
Peter had always hated when men called you, as he put it, "ridiculous" nickname. You knew if he could punch them all, he would but because of Steve's number one rule (no fighting in the bar), he couldn't. It all started ever since you worked in the bar. You werenât getting much attention when you were a waitress but you guess, when men see a woman behind the counter making their drinks, apparently, they think youâre easy, and naive, and would fall for their "charm" by calling you nicknames. One minute youâre "darling", the next youâre "doll" or "baby" or, the worst of them all, "mon chĂŠri."
God, did men really think women would be turned on by a French nickname with a horrendous French accent? Perhaps, the idiots do.
You suddenly wondered if Peter felt the same.
"He's just kidding." You mumbled, taking him away from the group. "You know how Sam is."
You started to lead him further towards the door where his bags were.
"I know how he is, y/n." He grew more agitated now, triggered by what Sam had called you. "I've known him longer than you. Okay, what on earth is going on here?" Peter turned around once more, facing them all. His hands were all over the place. Exaggerated gestures that furthered his confused state. "What happened in that one week I was gone? Jeez."
"Hey." You made Peter focus his attention back towards you by grabbing him by the shoulders. By this time, the instrumentals on the karaoke machine were gone. "We get that you're really confused right now and you're tired so why don't you go and take a shower. The night is still young, Parker. I promise we'll tell you everything the second you come back here."
Of course, not everything.
The dead air whistled around, which you hated. He glanced at the group, who was waiting for a response. Their eyes were all on you and Peter. He finally let out a sigh, his shoulders slumped. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry, it's just been kind of a long drive."
With that, Peter scurried towards the apartment to set down his bags and take a shower. He left a trace of awkwardness in the air once he left.
"Is it just me," Nat started as you walked towards the booth, "or did he grow taller? Did he go to, like, a magic place or something?" Everyone looked at her with knitted brows. "Jesus, I'm just lightening up the mood." She said, hands raised up.
You strode towards Sam, a rush of heat climbing its way towards your face. "Seriously? You had to call me that?"
Sam chuckled nervously, eyes flickering between you and his best friend. "I-it was just a joke! I didn't know he'd take it seriously. And helloooo," he said in a singsong voice, dragging the o, "I'm drunk."
"Being drunk isn't an excuse. It should never be." Bucky said, leaning against the booth. He stood with much authority which you found enticing. But you digressed. "You still shouldn't have said it."
"And besides," you chimed in, "Parker hates it when people give me nicknames."
"Alright. I am sorry." He said. His eyes examined you and Bucky. "But how do you think he's going to react when he finds out his favorite person in the world is calling his best friend babydoll in bed?"
You were dumbstruck. Like it was some kind of question in a trivia game you didn't know the answer to. You couldn't think straight hearing the fries grinding in Nat's teeth, probably enjoying the drama unfolding in front of her eyes, Steve's fingers tapping on the wooden table and Nick's fast breathing.
You took a deep breath, and tried hard to ignore all these annoying sounds.
Sam was right. If Peter's reaction to the nickname was already bad, what more if he knew about the truth between you and Bucky? How could he possibly react to it?
"Look." You said, approaching Bucky, and grabbing his pinky with yours. For comfort. "We're still not ready to tell him but we will."
"Yes, soon." Bucky agreed.
"We're just finding the right time."
The truth was, you weren't any close to finding the "the right time." You had been racking our brains since last night on when to tell him. After setting on the when, then youâd move to the next phase of the plan which was how. Now that Peter had come back, you knew you needed to think and act fast before he found out about you and Bucky from other people.
"In the meantime," you said, grabbing your phone and finding Marco's name on my contact list, "let's just enjoy this party as it is. Steve threw this party for a reason and we are going to enjoy it. With or without Peter. No blabbing or hinting â yes I'm talking about you, Sam â about me and Bucky. No nicknames, no references. Nothing."
"You're asking all of us to keep your dirty little secret?" Nick asked. "While we're all drunk?"
"You and Sam are." Bucky chimed in, grabbing their beer bottles. "Steve and Nat aren't so I'm keeping a close eye on you two." He turned towards you, faces close in proximity, and gave you the bottles to stow away. "No more drinks for those two idiots."
Youbnodded and took the beers away from Sam and Nick which earned yoy a couple glares. Nick pouted afterwards like a baby, eyeing the beer bottles in your hand. "No, Nick. I'm cutting you off."
"Take his, not mine!" Nick whined, tilting his head towards Sam. "I didn't blab. This idiot did."
"I don't like your tone, man." Sam argued, mimicking Nick's state.
"One more drink and you'll blab. And please stop acting like kids." you sighed, walking towards the counter, stowing the beer bottles in their cases. Ypunlooked on your phone once again, called Marco and ordered three large pizza boxes â pepperoni, meat, and cheese pizza. All of Peter's favorites.
By the time the phone call ended, Bucky approached you with soft, doe-like eyes. The group resumed singing, Sam and Nick once again hogging the machine, clearly not taking your advice. Sam kept yelling at him to "cut the check!"
"How're you feeling, doll?" He asked, going under the pass through.
"Well, it's now a surprise party." You heaved a sigh, turning around to find a drink with much more of a kick to get you through the night. Your eyes found an unopened bottle of vodka in one of the cabinets. You didn't hesitate to grab it, along with a dry vermouth and some olives.
Bucky's eyes were on you the whole time, watching you making yourself a mean martini. Ypundidn't care if Steve saw you just now. Right now, you needed this. Just one glass to calm your nerves.
Younstirred the liquid with the olives in a stick before downing the whole thing in one gulp.
"As hot as that was," Bucky said, referring to how you drank the martini and how younmade it, "that's your last drink for the night. I'm not letting you get drunk for the wrong reasons. Once was enough."
You set down the glass on the counter with a thud. You lifted your hazel eyes to meet his blue ones. "You're paying for this, by the way."
He chuckled. "I know. I'll take care of it."
You looked cautiously at the door, dreading Peter. Knowing he won't probably be here for another hour, you approached Bucky, discreetly grabbing his hand. It took you a moment to put your thoughts into words.
"James, if we tell Peter, we need to be... sure. Of this. Of us." youbwatched your fingers brush against him on the wooden table.
"We've talked about this, y/n. I am." He reassured, walking closer this time. "It's a big risk but it's one I'm willing to take."
The idea of you jumping into this together, jumping into it with caution gave you a big relief. But right now, it wasn't just an idea anymore. It was real.
It was real in the way he snaked his arm around your waist, in the way he pulled you into a soft, deep kiss, and in the way his lips lingered on your lips. You pulled away, your bodies still close. At that moment, it was just the two of you. Never mind the loud karaoke machine, or the faint noises of the traffic outside, or Sam's out of tune rhythm.
It was just the two of you. In your own little afterglow.
"You're a big risk I'm willing to take." He whispered the words so slow that they swirled around you, pulling you even closer.
"And you're mine too." you smiled.
Several minutes have passed since your little conversation. Nat had teased you and Bucky of being whipped for each other. Of course Sam joined, and then Nick who chanted a little song he made, which, for the life of you, you couldn't even remember. The rest didnât understand a word he was singing other than the words "Bucky" and "y/n."
Steve, on the other hand, had been silently drinking his beer and eating the whole time. You once gave him an are-you-okay look and he just nodded in response, giving you that classic tight-lipped smile of his.
Bucky was seated beside you, your thighs grazing each other in the little booth. Even accidental touches brought you comfort.
And isn't that just the best damn thing?
Peter had come in after the little performance Nick just gave, thankful that he didn't walk right in the middle of it. Behind him was a staff of Marco's who delivered the pizza boxes. Everyone hurrah'd. You grabbed your wallet from your back pocket but Steve stopped you, handing some bills to the guy.
"Steve, I could've gotten it." You said after the pizza guy left.
He shook his head, setting down his beer on the table. "It's your party, kid. I'm not letting you pay a single cent."
Nat scoffed. "She made herself a drink just earlier. You should charge her for that."
"Woah, y/n drank? That's new." Peter chimed in, squeezing himself in the booth, sitting at the edge. Between you were Sam and Nick. "What else did I miss?"
And so, you told him everything â well, not everything. Only from when Steve fired you (him lying about how why he even came up with it which Peter bought), to Bucky convincing you to take the project collaboration with Sam, to finally agreeing to it, to the whole meeting that happened just three days prior, and to how youâll proceed from there. Youndidn't know if Nat and Steve wanted to reveal their little thing to Peter so you kept your mouth shut. Not wanting to do to them what you didn't want done to you and Bucky.
"My god," Peter commented, "that really was a long week! I'm quite disappointed I missed all of that!"
Oh, Parker. If only you knew the whole truth.
In return, he gave the gist of the whole corporate retreat. He finally told you where he and the rest of his team went but it was some place you couldn't even pronounce. Some cabin by the lake far away from Manhattan. He didn't bore you too much with the details. All you knew was that they went fishing, hiking and camping in the wild while team building. Along with the stories were photos of him and the place they were staying.
You frowned thinking it would've been fun if he were with friends. Like you guys.
The whole time, Bucky held your hand under the table or rubbed your thighs discreetly so as to not draw much attention.
Nat was an exception. That redhead saw everything, smirking once in a while. You gave her a discreet look from time to time.
Peter congratulated you, toasting his pizza with yours. Thankfully, he didn't need to drink tonight ("No drinks for me tonight or for the next few days").
"Wow, you really came out there like a new man!" you chuckled. He laughed right back but for just a mere moment. His expression changed while taking a bite of his pizza. You began to be nervous as to why this kept happening. Younneeded to go to the toilet.
Getting out of the booth was a chore. Nat, Steve and Bucky had to get up before you could even stand up. Youndidn't get why you didn't just stick the little tables together to make a long one.
You were in the toilet for a little while, leaking everything that youndrank tonight. Your head felt a bit dizzy but younmanaged to stand up afterwards. The voices of your friends were inaudible against the wooden walls. Except Nick's booming laugh.
Once you opened the door, you were greeted by Steve who was standing still, waiting for the toilet to become unoccupied.
"Sorry." you apologized. "Was I too long?"
"No." He replied shortly. You tried to walk past him but he caught your arm. Younlooked at his hand, confused. "Are you sure about this Bucky guy?"
"What?"
"This whole thing with Bucky. You can't actually be serious about this."
Taken aback, you wiggled out of his grasp, successfully yanking your arm out. "And who are you to tell me that?"
"You just met this guy." He answered. You still felt his grip on your arm by his stern tone.
"Weren't you the one who kicked me out of this very bar just for me to go to the roof to meet with this guy that I just met?"
"I thought you would've ended whatever thing you had going with him."
You scoffed. "You're not my father, Steve. I know you have this weird father or brother thing you have with me but I'm an adult. I can take care of my damn self."
"What about that night you were insanely drunk?"
"That... that was a one-time thing. A mistake is what it is!" younhissed. "Everyone makes mistakes."
"Y/n, listen â "
"No." you cut him off. "You listen. Just because you and Nat haven't figured out whatever the hell is going on with you two, doesn't mean you can shit on my relationship. Before you comment on my dating life, I suggest you fix yours first. I'm happy. Bucky's happy. We're both happy. Please mind your own business."
Before you could even go back to the group, Steve called your name. Youngroaned, turning around. "What now?"
He sighed. "You're really going at great lengths for Bucky. Keeping secrets from Parker and all that. Is it really worth it?"
You stood there. Silent. Trying to find your voice.
"Well, I'm about to find out." You replied, turning around, hopefully for the last time. "Later, Steve."
You went back to the group and continued to chat with them. Steve got back after a few moments. His streak of silence was broken when Nat revealed something none of you had ever known before.
"Did you guys know that Steve was a journalist before he became a bar owner?" Nat said, looking at Steve.
You raised your eyebrows, the pizza caught in mid-air. A curiosity sparke, pleased with the new information you had just acquired.
"Steve Rogers? A journalist?" Peter scoffed unbelievably, leaning back against the seat. "No way. No, I don't buy it."
"Me neither." Nick butted in. "He doesn't look like the type. Nuh-uh."
"It's true!" Nat argued. "Tell them, Steve. Come on!"
Steve forced a chuckle, avoiding all your waiting gazes. "Yeah, it's true. I was. I used to work for the New York magazine."
"Why'd you stop?" Bucky's voice surprised you. It was the first time youâve actually heard him talk to Steve first, except that time when you first introduced them.
Steve's eyes met Bucky's. A strange atmosphere picked up. You couldn't quite point out why. "I was sticking my nose up where it didn't belong." He replied. "I got fired because of that. Boss said I was too... intuitive."
"Isn't that what journalists should be exactly?" You asked.
"Too much of something is bad too, I guess." He shrugged, retreating back his eyes.
"Huh." You said, observing Steve. Eyes stolid. Bearing no emotions at all. "Well, look who's good at keeping secrets. Steve Rogers."
He hummed. "We all got secrets."
And then Nick revealed a ridiculous secret ("I hate the bank! I don't have a bank account!") that lightened up the mood.
The night went on after that, Steve avoiding any questions you had about this past life of his. Nick had the most ridiculous questions followed by Peter. But the night had to end as well. Thankfully, it ended sober.
Leaving Steve, Nat and Nick behind, Bucky, you and Peter headed up the stairs, the elevator ride filled with deafening silence. One you very much loathed. Between Bucky and you was Peter. It was killing you not to touch Bucky.
Bucky left, merely dropping you off in your apartment. He told you he'd come by tomorrow morning to get his stuff that was still in Peter's room.
It killed you not being able to kiss Bucky good night, watching his back getting smaller and disappearing behind the elevator. Peter closed the door after that.
"Boy, I'm tired." You yawned, stretching your arms up. "I'm gonna go ahead. It's nice to have you back, Parker."
Before you could even go to your room and have a nice sleep, Peter called for your name. You lazily replied.
"Yeah?"
"Why'd you do it, y/n?"
Confused, you turned around, meeting his gaze. "What?"
"The project with Sam." He said, walking towards you. His footsteps were heavy in each step. As heavy as his voice was becoming. "Bucky convinced you. Why'd you say yes?"
Trepidation filled your body. A kind of weakness you loathed. But you tried hard to stand on your ground, masking your anxiousness.
The noises outside the apartment, out on the streets mirrored the voices in your head.
"It was a big business opportunity." you found your voice. "A collaboration. And I didn't have much choice knowing that I was going to get fired."
But it seemed like Peter chose not to listen. "For years, I have been trying to get you to work with me. Years, y/n. Years." He sighed in exasperation. His eyes were bloodshot, tears badly wanting to escape. "Why couldn't you have said yes to me?"
His last words were so strong and sharp like a knife piercing right through your flesh, leaving you to bleed out in the open. You opened your mouth to speak, to say something, to say that you were sorry but unfortunately, no words came out. Peter breathed, releasing his strong gaze. "Good night, y/n."
He left you standing there in the middle of the room, realizing now that it would be harder to tell him about you and Bucky. Once you finally had the energy to carry your weight towards your room, you treaded towards it slowly and opened the door, only to be met by a soft knock on your window.
You nearly jumped at the sight outside the window.
"Jesus, Bucky!" you hissed, immediately closing the door behind. You opened the window and let him inside, closing it afterwards. "How did you get there?"
He was panting, trying to catch his breath. "Fire escape."
"It's freezing cold outside." you scolded, grabbing him your blanket and wrapping it around his huge figure.
"I know." he replied. "Maybe you can warm me up." A cheeky smile started to play on his lips as he approached you.
You giggled. "Bucky, not now."
"I'm sorry, doll. I just couldn't leave without a good night kiss."
My heart melted at his words. You placed your hand on his jaw and pecked his lips. He pulled you in closer. You smiled in the kiss.
"Neither can I."
You kissed a little bit more, a bit more passion this time, the window framing you perfectly in the nighttime.
You pulled away, feeling a bit guilty about Peter in his room.
"We need to talk, James." You said, breaking what was a lovely atmosphere. Youâve already had two confrontations today. What was another one?
You sat on the bed and patted the space beside you. Bucky frowned, sitting beside you. "What's wrong?"
"Peter's kind of upset with me accepting your offer to work with Sam." you went straight to the point. "He's been trying to get me to work with him in his company he works at ever since he got the job but I've always declined. And now, I think he's mad or even jealous that I said yes to you. God, you should've seen him, Buck. His eyes were so wide, and red. I've never seen him like that. It didn't look like Peter at all."
It took him quite a while before he spoke. "Do you regret taking up the offer?"
"What, heavens no!" You answered. "Bucky, this has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me. You're one of them too, of course." You said, seeing his doe-like eyes once more. "I'm just getting a bit more scared now. What if there is no right time for us to tell him? What then?"
He clasped your hands with his large ones, making you stop your trembling. You didn't even notice your hands shaking until now. "There will be a right time, y/n. Right now, we just have to keep this our little secret for a while until we can tell him."
"What happens when he doesn't approve of this?" You started to ramble on once more. "Of us? What happens then?"
"Sweetheart, you don't know what's going to happen but we'll make it work."
You didn't respond. You just kept staring at your joined hands.
"I promise." He added.
You finally nodded, releasing a breath you didn't know you were holding. "Okay."
"Now, if it's okay with you." He moved a little bit closer, kissing your cheek. "I can spend the night here." Another on the other. "With you." then on your lips.
"Peter's in the other room." you whispered in the kiss, amazed at how the mood changed so quickly.
"That's why I'm gonna need you to be quiet, babydoll."

Chapter 25
Stark Spangled Banner Masterlist // Main Masterlist
 31st August 2015.
It took Katie a while to realise where she was when she woke. As her mind came to, she realised she was in her apartment at the tower, and when her eyes flew to the dress in its cover which was hanging up in the open closet, her stomach did a flip.
It was her wedding day!
âGood Morning Miss Stark.â FRIDAY spoke, and Katie grinned.Â
Miss StarkâŚnot for much longer!
âMiss Potts requested I inform her when you are awakeâŚâ
âInform away.â She smiled, and jumped out of bed, grinning at the reflection of her tacky âBrideâ short and vest Pyjamas that the girls had surprised her with last night when they had been sat around having their pamper session with several glasses of champagne. Making her way into the living room, she was greeted by a loud squeal from Wanda, who along with Laura Barton had stayed in her apartment last night. Considering the amount of champagne that had been drunk, they all had surprisingly clear heads. It wasnât long before Pepper and Nat arrived, and after a breakfast of fruit, pastries and croissants provided by the local bakery, Katie was ushered into the shower surprised at how calm she actually feltâŚ
The boys, however, were faring a little worse, especially after Tony had cracked open a bottle of his dadâs vintage scotch which he had been saving for a special occasion and Thor had supplied Steve with copious amounts of that lethal Asgardian liquor along with some equally as potent Asgardian Ale. The Groom cracked one eye open and groaned when he realised he had passed out, fully clothed, on the sofa, Tony led flat out along the other side of it, drooling into the cushions.
Steve looked round, Clint was on the large arm chair in the corner of the room, Sam was sprawled face down on the large rug and Thor nowhere to be seen. Jesus Christ it had been a heavy one.
Of all the days to get his first hangover in over seventy yearsâŚhis wedding morning.
His wedding morning. Shit.
Sitting up, a stupid grin on his face, headache forgotten he nudged Tony with his foot. The billionaire jerked and tumbled off the side of the sofa.
âWhassgoin on?â He looked around, blinking, before he grimaced. âShit, my headâŚâ
Clint let out a groan from the chair.  âKeep it down manâŚâ
Sam let out an equally pained noise, not moving. âWhat day is it?â âMy wedding day, fellas.â Steve grinned.
Tony groaned again, leaning back against the sofa âHow are you so sprightly, Old Man?â âTrust me Iâm not.â Steve shook his head, standing up âBut Katie will kill me if we turn up like this.â
âCoffee.â Clint yawned, swaying slightly as he got to his feet. âWe need coffeeâŚâ âAnd food.â Sam mumbled into the rug
âGood job I organised some.â Tony looked at his watch, squinting. âShould be arriving soon. âWhereâs Thor?â Clint suddenly asked as he glanced around.
âHere.â came the godâs deep voice as he strolled into the room. He was already dressed in a pair of jeans, t-shirt and his hair was damp from the shower
âHow are you so alive, Thunder boy?â Sam sighed, sitting up.
âLike you just said, Bird Man.â Thor beamed round at them all. âI am the God of Thunder.â ******
Two hours later, Pepper was bustling around topping everyoneâs Champagne up and when she reached Katie she gave her smile. âYou ok?â
âYeah.â She beamed back. âMaybe a little nervous, but mostly excited. I canât believe Iâm finally here. It feels like weâve been waiting for this for so long.â
Pepper gently squeezed her hand. âYeah. Tony has been on the job making sure the tent is right. The Caterers have arrived. And I got a full blow by blow as he was nearly having had a fit when the alcohol and bar were an entire four minutes and thirty-four seconds late.â âI thought organisation was your job?â Nat quipped from where she was lounging in a chair, dressed in her light blue âBridesmaidâ robe.
âIt is.â Pepper rolled her eyes. âAnd I told him it would be okay but, well, he just want everything to be right.â Katie rolled her eyes, a fond little smile playing on her lips at the thought of her brother still trying to make sure she was happy. âWhere is he now?â
âHe spent the night with the boys at the compound so heâll be on his way back shortly to get changed. Apparently they sat outside at the compound with a bottle of whiskey and a few cigars and there are some sore heads this morningâ Pepper smirked. âEven Steve is feeling it.â
Katie grinned, sheâd only seen drunk Steve a handful of times, and Drunk Rogers was definitely one of her favourite Steves to see.
Wanda shook her head. âWhat is it about men and cigars?â
Natasha shrugged. âI like cigars.â
âWhat a surprise.â Laura grinned, earning herself a glare off the red head. They were cut off then by FRIDAY informing them that the stylists had arrived. Pepper told her to send them up and suddenly the room was filled with people, greetings being shared and Pepper organising everyone into their places as she did ever so efficiently.
And then, it was down to business. The Hairstylist, Franco, knew exactly what Katie wanted as sheâd had a rehearsal and he set about, sweeping her brunette locks up into the up-do sheâd picked- a bun sporting a few small braids running from her crown and round into the hair set at the nape of her neck. Loose tendrils of dark brunette fell forward around her cheeks, the whole thing set perfectly to frame her pretty face.
Time seemed to fly as one by one they exchanged places and moved around, and soon enough Katie was then in front of the make-up artist.
âDonât worry about a thing,â The tiny blonde in front of her said as Katie quietly asked her to do her best to cover the scars by her mouth and temple, small reminders of what sheâd been through at the hands of HYDRA. âYouâre going to look perfect. I promise.â
Another glass of champagne made it into Katieâs hand and thirty minutes later she was done and handed a mirror. Her mouth dropped open. Sheâd had her make-up professionally done more times than she cared to remember but something about this was different. Someone else, but yet, still her glanced back. She had a light, neutral shade across her eye lids, which had a darker colour in the crease and a hit of sparkle. The contouring across her sculptured cheek bones was amazing, yet subtle, as the highlighter sweeping up and out caught the light perfectly, and the nude gloss on her lips set everything off.
And her scars were gone.
She swallowed and turned to the woman, smiling. âItâs perfect, thank you.â
Before the woman could reply, there was another announcement from FRIDAY about a delivery, and Katie glanced around and Pepper.
âWhat did you order?â
âThatâs not me, I swear.â Pepper shook her head.
âIâll go.â Nat offered, âIâm done here now.â
She headed out of the room and Katie stood up to allow Pepper to sit down for the make-up artist in the seat next to where Wanda was sat having the finishing touches done to her face. She looked amazing, dark smoky eye-shadow set off her eyes and red locks perfectly.
Natasha arrived back, a smirk on her face as she carried a simply huge bouquet of flowers which were tied with a blue ribbon and sat in a clear bag of water, a small Cartier bag also hanging from her hands.
âFor the Bride.â She drawled, and Katie took the bouquet, smiling, not even needing to read the card to know who they were from.
âTheyâre from Steve.â
âHow do you know?â Laura frowned. âTheyâre the ones in my tattoo.â She explained as she placed them gently on the kitchen area of her Tower Apartment admiring the various lilies, daisies and greenery set into the arrangements. âMy favourite flowers.â
She picked the card out of the bouquet, spotting Steveâs looping scrawl straight away.
I canât wait to make you Mrs Rogers, Sweetheart. See you at the Alter. All my love, Â now and forever, Steve xxx
âThatâs disgustingly cute.â Laura groaned, reading the card over Katieâs shoulder as she grinned at the simple yet meaningful message.
âThatâs my Soldier all over.â Katie smiled before she opened the bag. She pulled out the small box and opened it, her mouth falling open at the beautiful drop earrings inside. They were roughly two inches long, chains of small diamond and white gold stars which glinted in the light.
âStar Spangled Man, huh?â Nat smirked and Katie turned to her grinning.
And suddenly the excitement washed over her. This was happening. Actually happening.
âShit!â Katie wheeled round as her stomach started to flip âOh my God, Iâm getting married!â
**** Steve finished brushing off his shoes which were polished that much he could almost see his face in them. With a groan as the pain in his head had once again reared, damned that fucking Asgardian shit, he slipped them on and laced them up and then turned his attention to his hair. Once he had finally got it to lie how he wanted, it was time for his tie.
He hadnât taken the decision to wear his army uniform lightly. It had been one he had agonised over for ages, but after Katie had told him it was entirely his choice but he should stay true to who he was, heâd realised that before Captain America, heâd been Steve Rogers, and all he had ever wanted was to be in the army. So he was going to be Captain Rogers today, who he was.Â
There was a knock on the bedroom door and Sam walked in, already in his uniform. Steve smiled at him in the mirror before expertly tying the double-Windsor and turning round.
âGot the rings?â Sam asked. Steve nodded to the two boxes sat on the dresser which contained their bands. Picking them up, Sam slid them into his breast pockets, fastening the buttons.
âNervous?â He asked and Steve considered the question for a second.
Was he?
âKinda.â He admitted with a slight pop of his shoulder. âI donât wanna mess up my vows, but Iâm not nervous about marrying her, nothing has ever felt more right, Sam.â
Sam smiled and swept the man up into a bro-hug, clapping his back. âTonyâs heading off to the tower now. The tent  is ready, waiters are here setting the tables. Itâs all going to plan.â âMaybe for once it might stay that way.â Steve sighed and Sam chuckled.
âHowâs the head?â
Steve let out a small groan. âPounding. As best man, Iâm holding you totally responsible.â
Sam shrugged âWouldnât be the worst thing Iâve been blamed for.â
Steve snorted.
âYou know what you need?â Sam looked at him. âA leveller.â âA what?â
âAnother drink, hair of the dog that bit you and all thatâŚâ
At the mere thought Steveâs stomach lurched and he shook his head. âThe fuck I do.â
âTrust me.â Sam grinned, as he left the bedroom. âIt never fails. How do you think Iâve just cured mine?â Steve followed him into the living room where a photographer was there taking snaps, Thor loudly asking what he was doing. Sam hastily explained, placating the god who was already in his Asgardian dress. Steve paused, looking at him for a second. Instead of the silver and red everyone was used to seeing him in, his robes were a glittering white lined with gold piping, his cape was deep blue and his hair was well groomed.
âWow, Thor.â
âTraditional Asgardian formal dress.â Thor grinned, turning to Steve. âLittle Starkâs request, which reminds me.â He jerked his head signalling for the Captain to follow him. Frowning slightly, Steve obliged, and the men stepped outside onto the patio area.
âLittle Stark is very dear to me.â Thor began. âBut she is your intended, so I thought it only right to ask your permission to give something to her.â
âOkay.â Steve frowned, a little puzzled.
âI have a headdress.â Thor explained, âIt belonged to my mother and has been passed down the line for years. I would very much like to offer it to her to wear today.â Steve smiled, the manâs care for his girl was genuinely something he liked. He was a good man to have onside, and his intentions were always honourable. âSheâll love that.â Steve nodded. Thor shook his hand and held out his other, Steve just getting out of the way in time to avoid being flattened as Mjolnir flew into it with the familiar metallic swoosh, followed by a slap as the leather handle hit the godâs large palm. With a nod to the Captain, and a promise to be back shortly, he took off.
******
Pepper and Natasha looked stunning in their pale blue bridesmaid dresses. Knee length, skater style with off the shoulder straps. Lauraâs dress was also blue, but a dark shade peplum style with a slit up the side and Wandaâs was slightly more grungy, almost 50s style, navy blue with polka-dots and a large, puffy skirt.
All four of them looked amazing and Katie told them so, beaming, before Pepper informed her it was time to get into her dress. In a daze Katie headed into the bedroom and taking a deep breath she peeled herself out of her robe as Pepper set the dress ready, and Katie stepped into it. She pulled it up, holding it in place as Pepperâs fingers deftly fastened up the buttons, before she smoothed down and fluffed out the skirt. Katie stepped into her heels, took a glance in the mirror and felt the tears prick her eyes.
âDonâtâŚâ Pepper instructed, handing her a tissue from a box on the side, one which she had clearly bought, prepared to the very end âYouâll set me off, and thereâs gonna be enough of that when Tony sees you.â âWhere is he?â Katie asked, tissue gently dabbing at her eyes.
âJust getting into his suit.â Pepper smiled. âHe wonât be long. Okay, you ready?â
Taking a deep, steadying breath, Katie nodded and the two of them made their way out of the bedroom and into the hall. The photographer that had been taking photos all morning was waiting, snapping away, capturing, she hoped, the look on the girls faces as for the first time ever she saw Natashaâs eyes watering over.
âShit, Nova.â Natâs hand flew to her mouth. âWow.â Katie grinned at her, and was about to answer when the elevator door slid open.
"Iâm looking for the one wearing white.â A familiar voice teased as Tony stepped into the apartment, making Katie turn to face him. He stopped dead, his eyes widening.
âOh Kiddo, you look incredible.â Â he whispered, swallowing slightly as his deep brown eyes sparkled, his face curling into a gently smile.
âThank you, so do you.â Katie gestured to the charcoal suit and light blue Stock Tie he was wearing. Tony took the glass of champagne that Pepper handed to him but, before he could say anything else, another person stepped into the apartment.
A tall, large blonde God dressed in gold and white Asgardian armour beamed at Katie as her mouth fell open.
âThor?â She looked at him, surprise on her face as he strode across the room to wrap his arms around her.
âLittle Stark, you look beautiful.â He smiled down at her. âThe Captain is a lucky man indeed.â
âWhat are you doing here?â
âI cannot stop long I just wanted to give you something.â
She frowned as he held up his hammer and with a sudden flash that made Pepper and Laura jump, she felt something land on her head. Katie reached up gently and felt the outline of a tiara perched on her hair.
âWhatâŚI donât understand?â She whispered as she looked up at him, her fingers tracing the headdress. âIt was my mothers.â Thor said gently. âI do not have a sister, you are the closest thing to it and Iâd be honoured if you would wear it today.â Katie was speechless as she crossed to the mirror. Made of a silvery metal, the tiara consisted of a mass of intricate lines and reminded her somewhat of how the lost Diadem of Ravenclaw had looked in the Harry Potter films. It shimmered in the light and was adorned with what looked like diamonds, a larger deep red stone in the centre, and she could just make out the small ancient Asgardian runes
âThorâŚIâŚâ she turned to him, unable to speak. âI told your Captain of my intention.â He beamed. âHe thought you would appreciate it. The runes are an ancient Asgardian blessing, they wish the bearer happiness and safetyâ âItâs beautiful, thank you.â Her voice cracked.
Thor pulled her in for another hug and nodded. âI must go now, back to the compound. Barton and Birdman and doing one final sweep of the grounds. I said I would help before we meet at the church.â
A final squeeze and nod and he left the room, and minutes later they all heard the tell-tale whoosh as he summoned the bi-frost.
âI really hope he was on the jet pad.â Tony grumbled. âThose damned marks are impossible to get rid of.â ***** Against his better judgment, Steve had a âlevellerâ- another shot of that lethal liquor- and to his surprise, it had actually gone someway to sorting his head out. Either that or his metabolism was finally working it out of his system.
But now he had another issueâŚ
âWhere the hell is it?â He was getting flustered, because how the HELL had he misplaced his uniform belt? Heâd had it last night, he knew he had.
âItâll be here somewhere.â Sam assured him, and after a frantic search, which left the apartment almost upside down, Clint located it down the back of the sofa.
âWhat was it doing there?â Steve frowned.
âStark was wearing it as a headdress last night.â Thor supplied âYou were wearing a tie, Birdman was wearing a pair of Little Starkâs tights and Barton was using a sash from a robe. You were, I believe Stark said the term was, rocking out to some form of music. Do you not remember?â
âNo.â Steve mumbled, sliding it on and clipping it round his waist. He walked to the long mirror in the hall and looked at his reflection. Being dressed in this jerked back a lot of memories of his time with the Howlies, Bucky and PeggyâŚ
âJust go talk to her.â Bucky said, leaning against the bar as Steveâs eyes roved up and down Peggy as she stood at the bar in the pub in London talking to Howard Stark.
âI talk to her all the time.â Steve looked at his friend.
âGod youâre a dumbass.â Bucky shook his head âI donât mean just talk I mean, you knowâŚtalk, ask her out.â
Peggy looked up, caught his eye and he found himself blushing before turning back to his drink. It really wasnât appropriate, maybe if it was a different timeâŚ
âCaptain America and still a pussy when it comes to women.â Bucky snorted, clocking the look on his friendâs face âGlad to see not everything has changed.â
But everything had changed now. And it was funny how it had all worked out in the end. But he wouldnât change a damned second.
âCaptain RogersâŚâ FRIDAY spoke. âYour cars are arriving.â
Steve took a deep breath and smiled at Sam who walked towards him, clapping him on the shoulder. âYou alright?â
Steve nodded, suddenly his stomach was doing flips and this was nothing to do with the alcohol. âLetâs go.â
****
âThe cars are here.â Pepper smiled, walking into the room with the box that contained the flowers. She handed Katie her bouquet, a simple bunch of Cala Lilies tied with pale blue, gold and red ribbons. She set about pinning one of the boutonnieres to Tonyâs lapel before she smoothed his shirt down and pecked him on the cheek.
âOkay. Nat, Wanda, Laura and me are gonna go ahead now.â Pepper instructed. âYou follow on in about fifteen or so, give us enough time to hand these out-â she patted the box contained the remaining boutonnieres, â-and sort the boys into the right places.â
Katie smiled at her and she looked at the woman she had long since come to regard as a younger sister. âYou really do look stunning!â
âThanks Pep.â She kissed Tony again before she bustled the other three women out.
"You know,â Tony said gently when the door closed behind them, âI always thought when you were a kid that youâd look ridiculous in a wedding dress. But, I was wrong, yeah it happens occasionally.â His face softened as he looked at his sister âYou turned into a beautiful woman. Mom and dad would be proud, just as I am.â
âTheyâd be proud of you too.â Katie smiled, the tears springing into her eyes as he wrapped his arms around her. âYou know that right?â
âYeah, yeah, anyway.â He pulled back, sniffing slightly, before he ran his fingers underneath his eyes. âI have something for you.â With a flourish he reached into his suit jacket and withdrew a slim box.
Katie took it from him, her hands shaking slightly as she opened it. Inside was a stunning white gold necklace. It sported five teardrop shaped loops, each set with diamonds, the middle of the loops holding sapphires.
âIt was Momâsâ Tony explained as she ran her fingers over the stones. âIâve been saving it for you and figured that thisâŚâ his voice cracked, âwas the perfect opportunity to give it to you.â âTone,â she swallowed, the tears forming in her eyes once more, âitâs stunning.â
Tony took the box from his sister and gently removed the necklace and she turned round so he could fasten it round her neck.
âSo thatâs your something blue.â He said as she turned round, and let out a watery laugh.
âMy garterâs blue.â âDonât wanna know.â
Katie giggled and gently wiped at her eyes. âIf youâve ruined my make-upâŚâ She headed to the full length mirror in the hallway and leaned forward to examine her face.
âI think youâre good.â He smiled as she locked eyes with him in the mirror. Satisfied that all the make-up artistâs work was still intact she turned to Tony who rocked forward on his feet a little, giving a clap.
âSo, we got time for one last drink before you become a Rogers?â He asked, walking over to the liquor cabinet and reaching for two crystal tumblers.
âYou know itsâ only in name.â Katie smiled as he poured a few fingers worth of scotch into each glass.
âStill gonna be odd calling you by it.â He handed her one and she smiled. âBut either way, youâll always be my little Kiddo, you know that?â His voice cracked slightly and Katie took a deep breath, her eyes shining.
âYeah.â She chinked her glass gently against his âI do Tone.â *****
Steve strode across from the car, Sam following and the pair of them began to greet the guests. Steve was starting to feel nervous now. He shook hands with Evans and Lawson, both of them giving him friendly slaps on the back, welcomed a load of other people heâd seen in Katieâs office before, but his mind wasnât there. He was mulling over his declaration, and his eyes which were hidden behind his aviators, constantly roved the area in front of the church.
And then Sam slapped him on his shoulder.
âWhat?â Steve asked, turning to face him.Â
âBridesmaids are here Cap.â He smiled, and Steve turned to see the sleek, black Jaguar pull up to the side of the kerb. The driver got out and opened the back door to allow Natasha to climb out first, then Pepper followed, Wanda and Laura Barton getting out of the other side. Laura beelined for Clint who dropped a kiss to her cheek whilst Pepper, Nat and Wanda made their way over to Steve and Sam.
âYou look great.â Steve smiled as he dropped a kiss to Pepperâs cheek, then Natashaâs then Wanda. âHowâs Katie?â
âNervous as hell.â Nat drawled, smoothing down her skirt before she looked up at Steve grinning. âNice touch on the flowers and the earrings by the way, you almost set her off.â
 âBut sheâs ok?â He pressed.
âIf youâre asking whether sheâs having second thoughts, not a chance.â Pepper touched his arm. Steve took a deep breath and then turned to the Priest who had joined them.
âSheâs about ten minutes or so behind.â Pepper smiled, at the man before she turned to Sam and Steve. âSo I suggest you lot get to where you should be.â
âRight, yeahâŚâ Steve took a deep breath, âOkâŚâ
He turned to head into the church and Sam looked at Natasha. âOn a scale of one to ten how dead is she gonna knock him?â
âEleven.â Nat grinned.
Sam let out a laugh before he yelled to the other groomsmen, and began his duty organising people into the church to the right seats.
**** Katie had a tight hold of Tonyâs hand all the drive into Brooklyn. They made easy talk, the pair of them laughing in the back of the car but, as they rounded the corner to the street where the church was, Katie suddenly fell silent.
âYou okay?â Tony looked at her. Katie nodded.Â
âA bit nervous. Not about marrying Steve butâŚâ She trailed off. âIt feels strange, being happy, after everything that weâve been through.â
âYou deserve it.â Tony pressed a kiss to her temple. âNow push that thought out of your mind okay? Today is about youâŚand Steve.â He added as an afterthought.
Katie laughed as the car pulled to a stop and the driver hopped out. Tony got out of his side and rounded the car to offer Katie his arm. She tucked her hand into the crook of his elbow, her bouquet clutched in the other and together they made their way up to the entrance where the Priest, Pepper and Natasha were waiting. The photographer got a few snaps before he nodded and said he would see them inside.
The Priest smiled and ran through the usual checks and questions which Katie answered and he smiled, clapping his hands together.
âOkay, well, letâs get you married.â He grinned, heading back inside, leaving them stood in the vestibule area.Â
Katie took a deep breath and Natasha and Pepper took their places.
âYou ready?â Tony questioned, placing his hand over Katieâs as the opening chords to Eva Cassidyâs âSomewhere Over the Rainbowâ started up.
âIâve never been more ready for anything in my entire life.â She squeezed his arm when her knees threatened to wobble as the doors opened.
All heads turned in their direction as Pepper and Natasha made their way down the aisle and Katieâs legs suddenly felt like jello.
âDonât let me fall.â She whispered as she gripped her big brotherâs arm even tighter.Â
Tony turned his head to press an affectionate kiss to the side of her head, âNever.â He whispered back with a smile.
As they made their way down the aisle, Katie wanted to take a look around the full church but she couldnât. She couldnât take her eyes off her soldier at the front. It wasnât the fact that he looked especially handsome in his 40s dress uniform that made Katieâs knees tremble, neither was it his, as usual, clean shaven face or his perfectly styled hair. It was his eyes, and the smile on his face that lit up the moment he saw her.
âOh my god...â Steve managed to mumble, his mouth dropping open, and Sam clapped him between the shoulder blades.
âYouâre a lucky man.â
Steve couldnât bring himself to reply. Instead he stood, gawping like an idiot as his girl glided towards him. She looked incredible, almost like she was glowing. Her dress was elegant, yet almost princess like. Her hair was twisted up off her face and she wore the biggest smile on her face heâd ever seen. He watched as she clutched onto Tonyâs arm, her brother giving her hand another squeeze and the two turned to face each other, sharing a moment, before she looked back at Steve and their eyes locked. The Captain took a deep shuddering breath and smiled back, a smile which didnât leave his face all the time she made her way towards him.Â
After what felt like an age, his nearly wife reached his side and stood in front of him.
âHi.â She managed to whisper, and he shook his head, blinking back his tears as he let out a deep breath.
âYou look astonishingly beautiful.â His voice trembled as his eyes bored into hers and she felt herself flush, the grin still plastered to her face.
âWhy thanks.â Tony said, and the pair of them looked at him, Steve letting out a simple snort as Katie shook her head, a small laugh escaping her mouth as she handed her bouquet over to Natasha.
âDearly beloved,â the Priest opened. âWe are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Steve and Katie.â
Steve looked at Katie and she gave him another huge grin, neither of them paying any attention to the Priest as he ran through his usual greetings, until there was a little chuckle from the congregation that shook them both back round and the turned to look at him.
âWho here gives this bride away?â he questioned.
âOh, right, that would be err, me.â Tony stepped forward and gently turned Katieâs left hand into Steveâs right. The two men shared a meaningful look that could only be described as pure respect before Tony stepped back, taking his seat next to Pepper, blinking away his tears as she gripped his hand.
âYou have prepared your own declarations before the vows?â The Priest looked at them, and they nodded. âIn that case, ladies first.â he smiled at Katie and she took a deep breath, turning to face Steve, as he took both her hands in his, clearing her throat.
âYou know, if someone had told me that the man I met for the first time in that small boxing gym down town would be the man I would fall in love with and one day marry, I would have told them they were being ridiculous.â She smiled and Steve squeezed her hands. âStevie, Iâve watched you grow and thrive in a world that you thought you didnât belong in but you never let it break you. You have no idea how strong you are and how strong you make me.â She hadnât realised sheâd started crying until Steve released one of her hands to wipe her cheek, his own eyes shining as he felt like his heart was going to burst through his chest as she continued. "When I think back on how much weâve been through over the past few years, it never fails to amaze me how you carried not just me through it, but everyone around you too. Youâre the most honourable, beautiful man I know, and thatâs nothing to do with any serum, itâs just who you are. Youâre my best friend. My lover. My everything. And Iâll always love you Steven Grant Rogers.â
"Wow,â The minister said clearing his throat. âCaptain? Think you could top that?â
âIâll try my best.â He choked out making laughter ripple through the crowd along with a few sniffles, before he took a deep breath. âKatie, when I went into the ice, I thought I knew what love was. I thought that I was in love before and that I wouldnât ever feel like that again. And then you walked into my life and not only did I get to know you, I fell head over heels in love with you and you made me understand that a first love and a true love are two Stark-ly different things.â
Katie smiled, and there were a few titters at the pun he had used. He took another shaky breath and continued. âYouâre the most beautiful, kind hearted, brave woman Iâve ever met. Each second I spend with you is unlike anything Iâve ever felt before. Everything Iâve been through Iâd do it a thousand times over, and then some, if it meant Iâd find my way back to you. Youâre my world, my home, my girl, and for that I will always do my best to be the husband you deserve, to keep you safe, and happy and Iâll always love and cherish you. To the end of the line.â
As he finished, his voice broke a little and Katie took a shuddering breath as she reached up to wipe a tear away from his eye, just as he had done to her before. He smiled at her and she beamed back, her own tears threatening to trickle down her face, as he took her hands back in his, both of them turning to the minister again.
âAnyone got a tissue?â The man asked, pretending to dab at his eyes with his robes causing a few chuckles to ring around the church before he addressed her and Steve again.
âReady for the serious business?â
They both nodded. One by one they made their vows, promises to love, honour, cherish and forsake all others for richer, for poorer and in sickness and in health being uttered as their eyes intently bored into each other, driving the words home into each of their souls.
The sentiment wasnât lost on either of them, theyâd been through all of it and so much more already.
âDo you have the rings?â The minister asked. Sam stepped forward and gave Katie Steveâs.
Katie did as she was told, placed the ring at the end of Steveâs finger and repeated the vows they had chosen as she looked him straight in the eyes.
âI give you this ring as a token of my love for you. I give it with my loving heart, with my willing body and with my eternal soul.â She slid the plain platinum band onto Steveâs previously bare ring finger and once it passed his knuckle and nestled in its new permanent home, he took a deep breath then exhaled.
Then it was his turn. He rolled Katieâs ring in his fingers before looking up and locking gazes with her as he repeated after the minister the same vows she had made, Â finally sliding her diamond studded band down her perfectly manicured finger, his thumb sliding over the top of it. She looked at it for a second, before glancing back up at him, smiling.
"By the power vested in me by the Church and the State of New York, in the presence of GodâŚI mean Gods,â the Minister politely corrected himself, looking at Thor and the bride and groom laughed along with the rest of the Church as Thor raised a hand, grinning. âI now pronounce you Husband and Wife. Captain,â he patted Steve on the shoulder, âyou may now kiss your bride.â
Oh, heâd wanted to do that the minute she had walked into the Church!
With a smile, Steve closed the small distance between them and took her face in both his large hands, as hers slid up to his chest and he pressed a soft, sweet and perfect kiss to her lips.
There was loud cheering and clapping as they pulled back and Katie had just enough time to register the cheeky wink he flashed her before his hands pulled her back to him and this time he really kissed her, in a way that was totally not appropriate for a church but neither of them cared as his tongue slid along hers. Through the blood rushing in their ears, they could just make out the sound of more cheering and a couple of wolf whistles. They broke apart and for a long moment, their foreheads pressed together and they just smiled stupidly at one another, until Steve reluctantly stepped back so he could take his wifeâs hand in his, and turn to face their guests.
âLadies, gentlemen, please be upstanding for your bride and groom!â The minister spoke âMr and Mrs Rogers!â
Their exit song âSigned, Sealed, Deliveredâ struck up and for the first time Katie got to glance at everyone in the room. She smiled at so many people, when a squeeze to her hand from Steve brought her back and he beamed at her.
âYou okay?â he asked.
âNever better!â she grinned.
He pressed another soft kiss to her lips before they set off down the aisle. As they reached the end, Steve bent to pick up something, and Katie watched the familiar flash of red, white and blue vibranium as he swung it onto his arm.
âSeriously?â She arched an eyebrow.
âTrust me, Doll.â He muttered. âBecause I donât trust that lot one bit.â
The photographer got a few shots of everyone and then people started to climb into cars and head to the compound, all except the Avengers plus partners who had made an arch for the bride and groom to walk under. Steve grinned and turned to Katie, the two sharing another kiss before he nodded at her and they made their way down the steps onto the path. As soon as they did, Katie realised what Steve had been talking about as suddenly a barrage of rice rained down on them as the group yelled and cheered. As she shrieked with laughter, Steve pulled her to him, shield raised over his head, ducking slightly as they made their way to the waiting car. The chauffeur opened the door to the Jaguar SUV and Steve helped Katie in.
âI love you Mrs Rogers.â He grinned as they settled in the back of the car.
âI love you too.â She whispered back as his face dropped towards hers.
âGood, because youâre stuck with me now.â He leaned in, his nose rubbing against hers before he gave her another soft kiss as the car pulled away.
*****.
As the group filed out of the church, no one noticed the man staying close to the shadows across the road. But then they wouldnât, as itâs a good hiding place, he knew this neighbourhood like the back of his hand after all, and he should do too given the amount of times he and that scrawny little blonde haired punk used to tread the sidewalks getting up to mischief. Full of dirt and leaves from scaling trees they would head back to Steveâs house for his Ma to patch them up, normally getting a clout upside the head (fondly, he recalls, never meant to hurt) as she complained in a strong, Irish brogue, which always seemed so unbecoming from such a slight woman. âYou two young hooleys are going to be the death of me, so you are!â Sheâd admonish as she wiped their various bruises and fed them large pieces of whatever sheâd managed to bake from that weekâs meagre supplies. Now that small, sickly kid was a strapping six-foot plus mass of muscle, his outward appearance now reflected the brave Captain he had always been, stood in his old army dress uniform, his stunning wife a vision in ivory, and he was pleased to see, looking a lot healthier than she had when he had carried her out of that outpost in Canada. He watched as Steve raised his shield above his brideâs head to shelter her as their group of friends pelt them with rice, planting a kiss to her lips as various cheers and whoops hit his ears, and then they hurried to the waiting car. As it pulled away the last he saw of Steve was him leaning across the to place a kiss on his girlâs, no, his wifeâs lips whoâs pretty face looked like it might split in half from her smiling so much. âGood for you, Punk.â He muttered and, smiling to himself, he pulled his cap further down over his face and tucked his hands into his pockets. Yes, he had taken a huge risk coming here but he couldnât not see his childhood best friend on his wedding day⌠even if his childhood best friend hadnât seen him.Â
With more of a spring in his step than he remembered having since before the war, he headed back to where he had hidden the stolen motorcycle ready to trek back North where he could catch a flight to Europe and slink back into the shadows once more.
****
The sunny August afternoon passed in a daze of champagne, photos and food.Â
The head table was situated in the middle of the banquet tent, occupied by Katie, Steve, Sam, Pepper, Tony and Natasha. The rest of the guests were seated at circular tables dotted around, Katie and Pepper having carefully plotted places. Of course the Avengers had their own table, which was rowdy, Thorâs loud voice booming across the Tent as he sat with Jane, who was chatting away to Linda Barton. Vision was perched next to Wanda, conspicuous as always, whilst Banner was talking to Clint.Â
When the desert had been eaten, glasses were charged and it was time for the speeches.Â
It was Tonyâs turn first and as he stood up, both hands raised in his usual flamboyant manner, Katie let out a soft groan as she knew she was about to get a roasting. Her brother started off fairly mildly, toasting the bridesmaids cheekily quipping he was looking forward to taking one home with him that evening. Â
âWhich one?â Quipped Clint, earning him a slap round the head from Laura whilst the tent laughed.Â
Tony paused before he dropped a hand to Pepperâs shoulder where she sat to his right and grinned. âWell thereâs a fifty-fifty chance itâll be the one Iâm in a relationship with. No offence, Widow, but youâre not my type.â
Natasha flipped him off as the tent laughed, and all raised their glasses, before a wicked glint flashed in Tonyâs eyes and he turned to his left, looking at Katie where she sat at the head of the table.
âKiddo.â He smirked âI donât know where to start.â
âThen donât.â âOh Iâm gonnaâŚâ He winked âFor the last Thirty-One years youâve been a monumental pain in my ass. From making me fight monsters under your bed with the vacuum cleaner to your Vegan Goth phase and that damned Turkey that you insisted we keep.â He looked at her fondly as he grinned. âAnd we wonât even mention the amount of times I was called into School because youâd sassed a teacher, or when you refused point blank to fly home from University on a normal jet, or the time you wrapped your BMW round a lamppost and blamed the road for being too bendy. But, for the record, there isnât a day that Iâd change any of it. Watching you flourish into the beautiful, brave, kind young woman sat in front of me has, and always will be, my greatest achievement. Everything that life has put in front of you, youâve taken and more. And Iâll always be proud of you.â
He took a deep breath as Steveâs hand curled round Katieâs under the table.
âAnd as for the groom, well, thereâs not much to say about Spangles really. When I first met him, thought he was a Star Spangled asshole. Now I know him, think heâs just a normal asshole.â
Steve rolled his eyes, âThanks Tony.â he quipped as the he guests laughed. But as his brother-in-law locked eyes with him, the two of them smiled.
âHow I found out about you two was less than desirable.â He raised his eyebrows and they both let out a groan âFor those of you that donât know I walked in on them, in the kitchen, and interrupted something, and I wonât lie, I wasnât overly enamoured about the idea but you fast proved me wrong and, well, here we are.â Tony swallowed and looked at Steve. âFor the record, Cap,  Iâm glad she has someone like you to look after her, care for her and cherish her but just so you knowâŚâ he raised his two fingers to his eyes and then moved them towards Steve, the same Iâm watching you gesture as he had given him in his apartment over two years ago. Steve snorted into his glass which was once more full of Asgardian ale and Katie simply shook her head.
âIn all seriousness, Rogers and I had a nice long talk last night about what it means to be a family. To love and be loved. To feel like you do and will forever belong with a certain person. And he told me thatâs what he felt about Katie. That he does and will forever belong with her.â Â Tony looked around the room with a flourish before he turned to look at the newly-weds. âAnd I know I speak for everyone here when I say, we are so lucky â and happy â that weâre all part of this weird-ass family. Even with Rhodey here.â
Rhodey flipped him off from where he sat across the tent and the guests laughed once more
âSo if youâll please all raise your glasses.â Tony picked his up, as everyone stood their glasses raised. âSteve and Katie, Cap and Kiddo, and our friends, family, be they with us or not.â
The murmurs of the echoed toast died down being replaced applause and whoops as Tony took a short bow, before he rounded the table and Katie stood up to hug him kissing his cheek.Â
âLove you.â She grinned, and Tony beamed back at her before he returned to his seat.Â
At that point Steve stood up to a load of cheers and he held his hand up.
âYeah, not sure how I can follow that.â He smiled, âThanks for those kind words Tony.â He cleared his throat. âYou know, looking around the place, seeing everyone here to help us celebrate has brought it home to me how lucky I actually am. When I came out of the ice, I thought Iâd lost everything, my entire life, everyone I knew. But I fast came to realise that whilst that may have been true once, what Iâve gained since is irreplaceable.â He glanced down at Katie before he looked back around. âWhen Katie walked into that gym which was only a few blocks away from where we got married today, we shared a ten minute conversation. By the end of those ten minutes Iâd already realised how sassy, sarcastic and loyal she was, and dare I say it, damned gorgeous tooâ
Katie shook her head as titters rose around the tent.
âBut then I got to know her. And she became my best friend, still is, and frankly now I think sheâs the most amazing human being on the planet. I could continue to wax lyrical about you Doll, but I wonât. I said everything I had to say to you in the church, but there is one thing I wanted to add. You said that I make you strong, but itâs really you who does that to me. Iâm only strong because youâre by my side. You make me want to be a better person and I donât think Iâll ever get tired of waking up in the morning by your side, simply being able to call you mine.â He took a deep breath, blinking back the tears that were threatening to fall as he looked down at the table, then back to her. âFrom that first date I knew we had something special and everything weâve been through in the past two and a bit years, weâve made it through because weâve been together. So if I could ask you all to raise your glasses in the direction of my gorgeous, amazing wife.â He stopped, dropped his head and shook it, chuckling. âMan Iâll never get tired of saying thatâŚâ He looked back up, a huge grin on his face and Katie laughed, wiping her eyes âMrs Rogers.â
He sat down and Katie leaned over to give him a soft kiss, smiling as her hand gently traced down his cheek. More cheers and Steve grinned against her mouth, his cheeks flushing slightly as he pressed his forehead to hers.
And then Sam got up.
âYeah, saved the best till last I know.â He said as everyone giggled âIâll keep mine short and sweet as we all know thereâs a party to get started. I first met Cap when he was running. Well, I say running, it was more like tearing up the ground. Kept lapping me like a crazy mother, nearly killed me trying to keep up.â He grinned and Katie and Steve both laughed. âI havenât known him for very long all things considered, so being asked to be best man was a privilege, so thank you brother. It means a lot.â He nodded to Steve who raised his glass in his direction. âNow, being friends with Captain America is probably the same as what being friends with Steve Rogers is like, from what I can gather. Heâs a great guy, with a fully functioning moral compass, only thereâs the added complication that youâll have a building dropped on your head, get shot at and generally be whipped into a whole heap of trouble, and that was only within the first three days weâd met.â Sam quipped as the tent laughed and Steve shook his head. âBut the thing is, when Captain America knocks on your door and needs your help, you gotta follow, even if it means your life expectancy is probably gonna halve.  Mind you, my chances of getting laid have more than doubled so I think they cancel one another out.â At that Steve groaned and dropped his head into his hands as the tent erupted into laughter. âBut in all my life Iâve never met two people more suited for each other. Youâre like peanut butter and jelly, mac and cheese, Simon and Garfunkel, canât have one without the other.â Sam smirked âSo, without further ado, charge your glasses one final time, to the new Mr and Mrs Rogers.â
Everyone did so and Sam drained his glass, clapping his hands together. âNow how about we get this party started?â
****
A few hours later as the sun was dipping behind the trees and several bottles of champagne, Asgardian beer and a fair few measures of whiskey had been drunk, Steve led his wife to the dance floor for their first dance. Surrounded by their friends and family he gently pulled her into his arms as the first bars of their song rang out from the speakers.
Iâve been searching all my life I used to be so color blind You opened up my eyes Do you wanna share your dreams See a different side of me Youâre everything I need He pulled her closer, his hand curling round the small of her back, his other tightly clasped around hers as they gently swayed to the music, foreheads pressed together, smiles stuck firmly to their faces.
I like it when you think out loud Things you say when you know There is no one else around I can dig my own graves now But will you smile every time I try to crawl my way out
His left hand dropped from the small of her back and he took a step away, spinning her out into a twirl as the chorus struck up, drawing cheers from the circle of people around the dance floor.
There is no one like you I live in a world of black and white And you are the only one in color There is no one like you Into mystery I slide I want you to keep it all uncovered You are the only one in color
Katie smiled as he pulled her back to him, his face beaming and, as was tradition, they were joined on the floor by a few other couples, Tony and Pepper, Clint and Laura, Thor and Jane amongst them. Wanda and Natasha were dancing together too, in a joking, friendly way, which made Katieâs smile grow even larger.
You know how to set that mood You can light up any room Just by the way you move The only one who understands What Iâve given you youâve given back Come on and take my hand
The music continued and, as the chorus struck up again Steve span her out once more, making her laugh and this time he pulled her back in so her back pressed against his chest. Wrapping both arms tightly around her middle he pressed a soft kiss to her neck, breathing her in deeply. Katie laughed, her hands coming to rest over his own, thumb stroking the new addition to his ring finger.
You turned an old world upside down A wave of calm when I was so tightly wound And so full of doubt Iâll never tell you that twoâs a crowd I know I canât get through without Ever needing you around
Steve knew everyone was watching, probably taking pictures or video along with the official photographer, but he didnât care. Extending his arm above her head, he took hers with him and gently spun her to face him. His right hand slid up to cup her face and as he leaned close to capture her lips. Katieâs hand slid up to tangle in the back of his hair before she pulled away slowly and he let out a soft moan as his forehead dropped to hers.
"Mrs Rogers.â He whispered in her ear.
âYeah?â âNothing, I just wanted to say it.â
*******
âGarter off. No hands Rogers!â Nat yelled over the music as Katie sat in a chair on the dance floor. âThatâs the rules.â
âWell we all know Iâm a stickler for rules.â Steve grinned, discarding his jacket and tie to a few whoops and a loud whistle from his bride, he tossed them over a chair as the men in the party gathered around, the women standing a bit behind, Pepper explaining what was going onto Wanda.
Steve strolled casually past them, hands in his pockets, his eyes locked on Katieâs as she arched an eyebrow in an almost challenging manner. This was the point where he would normally flush red but he hadnât got a shred of embarrassment about his nature thanks to the Asgardian alcohol which once more coursed through his veins. He gave her a grin as he dropped to his knees and then, with a devious wink, dove under her skirt. Katie giggled and covered her face with her hands whilst the outline of Steveâs broad shoulders could just be made out moving up her legs. But only she could feel his breath on her thighs. He grinned and pressed a soft but hot kiss to the very top of her thigh and it took everything in her not to jump or show any outward indication of his actions, but she did bite her lip when his teeth nipped down her thigh until he caught the lace of the blue garter that he himself had given to her the day before, then dragged it down her leg.
There were more whistles and cheers when he emerged from beneath her skirt with the garter in his mouth, a loud groan coming from Tony, before Steve took it in his hands, stood up and fired it towards the men. Sam was the catcher, hastily dropping it from one hand to the other until he finally snatched it, and looked around, winking at Natasha.
âWhat about it Red?â He grinned at her âFancy a bit of Sammy-lovinâ?â
âIn your dreams birdbrainâ she drawled, as everyone cackled.
**** All too soon their day came to an end, but Steve had one final surprise for Katie. She had been fully expecting to go back to their room at the compound but Steve simply shook his head and led her over to a waiting car which was parked on the expansive gravel driveway.
âWe are not spending our wedding night at home, Kitten.â He said simply when she asked where they were going. The car drove them out of Brooklyn and into Manhattan as they drank more champagne, finally pulling up outside The Mark, where they were greeted by a red carpet and applause from staff.
Between the alcohol and being drunk on happiness, they were tripping over each other by the time they made it to the bridal suite. Steve opened the door into the huge room, and the pair of them stumbled forward. Laughing, Steve curled an arm round her.
âHang on.â With a flourish he bent down and scooped her up, carrying her into the room and she giggled as he stepped forward, kicking the door shut behind them before dropping her to her feet. She spun round and grabbed a fist full of his shirt, just below his open collar button, bringing him down to kiss her, hard as they backed across the suite into the bedroom where Steve spun her round and carefully, delicately popped the buttons down her back, his fingers brushing her skin as her dress fell open and dropped, pooling at her feet, leaving her in nothing but a pair of white, lace French knickers
He leaned in and pressed soft kisses to the crook of her neck, nuzzling into her hair, as she reached up to remove the various clips, freeing her brunette tresses.
âGod youâre beautiful.â He whispered as she spun to face him, eyes shining as she started to undo his shirt.
âYouâre not so bad yourself,â she smirked as her hands gently undid the buttons on his shirt, her eyes never leaving his.
And then it was a race to get out of their remaining clothes before they both collapsed on the bed. Steve took his time, kissing down his wifeâs body, running his fingers down her ribs before his hands gently parted her legs. His nose skimmed below her bellybutton before he moved downwards, nipping at her inner thigh before he set his mouth to her.
Katie groaned and all but melted into the bed letting him have and play with her all he wanted. Her first orgasm hit her hard in a ridiculously short amount of time and, leaving her breathless, he kissed all the way back up her body before he settled his hips against hers. He was rock hard and aching for her, and she shivered as he pressed up against where she needed him most.
He took her left hand in his, his thumb skating over her rings and placed a soft kiss over them before interlocking their fingers and pressing her hand down on the pillow next to her head.
âI love you so much, Mrs Rogers.â He mumbled leaning down and running his nose alongside hers.
âI love you too Captain Rogers.â She responded, holding eye contact with him as he slowly slid inside her, letting out a moan as she lay back and he kissed her again, deeply, passionately, slowly rocking into her. Katie rolled her hips up taking him deeper, moans flowing freely between the pair as he slowly built up his rhythm, releasing her hand so that he could grasp onto her hips. Katieâs arms wrapped around his shoulders pulling him in close and she buried her fingers into his hair.
âFaster.â She moaned, wrenching her mouth from his so she could breath and he didnât hesitate to oblige. After a few more thrusts he slid his hand under her lower back and lifted her slightly, face buried in her neck, nipping, making her gasp and shudder as he hit her spot with every thrust of his hips until she was moaning and writhing and muttering nonsense.
Whether it was the passion of the day or the fact that it was just different because they were now married, for Steve it felt the most intense love they had ever made. It was the perfect way to finish off an amazing day and when they both fell apart completely immersed in one another, cries of names and curses tumbling from lips, Katie happily welcomed his weight on top of her as he caught his breath whilst she peppered soft kisses against his sweaty forehead before their noses gently rubbed against one another. Both of them remained, trembling in the afterglow and it took a while but finally Steve gathered enough strength to roll himself to the side where Katie immediately curled up into his side, her head on his chest.
âWas it everything you hoped for?â He asked, and she hummed blissfully as he carded his fingers through her hair
âAnd more.â she whispered softly.â And wanna know the best bit?â âWhat?â She moved so she could look up at him, her face soft as she gave him the most intimate and incredible smile he had ever seen on her face as she answered âWe have the rest of our lives ahead.â

Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (6/14)
Story Masterlist
The plum seller at the farmerâs market saves Bucky from being captured for the attack at Vienna that he didnât commit, but is she really all that she appears to be, or are ulterior motives involved?
This is an entry for @star-spangled-bingoâ 2020. Word count: 2022. Square filled: âFake Datingâ
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Warnings: A brief mention of Hydra and the mission in Odessa when Bucky shot Nat. Mention of guns. General melancholy, I guess.Â
A/N: Itâs another quite chapter, but contrary to the last one... I... actually like this one, so I hope you will, too.
Bucky sighs when the northern mouth of the Istanbul canal appears on the horizon like a herald of safety, indicated by the twinkling lights in the distant dark. Heâs not naive enough to think this is the end, because he knows their journey is far from over, but this, the closest they have been to the edge of Europe, is a breath of relief. Next to him, he sees the shoulders of his partner in crime drop a little, the stress alleviating just a hint.
She had been watching him hesitantly since Odessa, where his eyes had gone colder and fogged over with a memory he does not like to remember. A flash of red hair, a through-and-through bullet wound, the Ukrainian winter deep in his bones.
That retrospective chill didnât thaw until they got on the ferry. The seat on the upper deck had provided the full luxury of the mid-morning sun. It is getting late, now, and the night has settled in. He pretends not to notice how she shifts a little closer to him on the bench seat, and suppresses a shudder -- from something besides cold -- when her shoulder touches his.Â
He doesnât remember the last time he let anyone besides Steve get this close to him. Of his own volition, that is. The years of Hydra manhandling donât count, and are a far cry from the soft feel of her cardigan and the scent of baklava still lingering on her hands.
The words have been scarce and forced between them, layered with fake smiles and uncomfortable touches ever since a fellow passenger mistook them for a couple earlier in the day, and it was easier to play along, as they had in the train, than to offer a less feasible alternative. Thatâs why, when someone passes by, his gloved left hand finds its way to her bare one.
She smiles at him, then, and doesnât let go when the danger has been crossed, until the speaker system is announcing their arrival at shore and there is the customary bustle of passengers eager to leave their ride after a long journey.
This, at least, is familiar. The old Bucky, he -- I, Bucky thinks -- worked at the docks for the seven month before he was drafted. The sight of people, crowds, eager to land and leave and fan out like marbles in the Brooklyn boysâ version of snooker, rings like a bell in the jumbled chaos of his brain, clears it with a sonic echo.
And then, his fugitive, his fake lover, is squeezing his hand with a smile on her face but her eyebrows drawn together just enough for him to notice.
âIâm fine,â he murmurs lowly, so only she hears it, and the ferry is brought in. They join the line and Bucky is glad to have something solid beneath him, even if it is only the wooden pier. Above them, Istanbul glitters like a hidden treasure, and Bucky recalls foolâs gold hair under layers of dirt and sometimes blood, how he used to joke; Godâs given you such lovely locks, you should take better care of âem, Stevie, with a ruffle of his hair. It was as soft between his fingers as her hands are, as she dodges the people swiftly, and he allows himself to be pulled along.
He counts their steps as they find themselves in the city, with cobblestones under their feet, on their way to the nearest hotel with a vacant room because planning ahead is risky and a sure way to get caught, especially if you do it online.Â
Thereâs another thing she had had to compromise on with him. Plans donât work if youâre in hiding, because youâre predictable if you know where youâre going and why. If you donât know where youâre going, how the hell will the authorities? Thatâs why he threw out that map the first chance he had, apologizing gruffly when she returned from the ladiesâ room in the train station in Kiev.Â
He has no illusions that he is in control, but this, he can hold onto, even if it is a feeble attempt at calling some shots. They may be heading south, but theyâll do it his way, and itâs worked so far.
While her eyes are fixed on the road ahead, Bucky looks into side streets, smaller, narrow lanes, on instinct, not sure for what, but it pays when he sees a vacancy sign flickering in the dark. So he pulls them both to a stop, and then towards the door under the fluorescent flickering.Â
The inn is warm and homey, not the kind of run-down institution one would expect. Itâs a family business; he clocks the similar features of the young man cleaning up the table in the lobby and the older woman in a headscard behind the counter. Heading towards the latter, he takes off his hat and brightens his smile. This, too, is instinctive, intuitive, the charm taking over everything else, even as his heart is thrumming with the desperation to not get recognized.Â
Turkish rises to his tongue fluidly. âSalam,â he says, putting his hand over his chest in the customary way. âWeâd like a room for a night, please,â he says when he notes that they donât have any other choice, going by the fact that there is only one remaining room key on the wall behind the lady.
âWalaikumassalam,â she responds, the surprise only registering as far as her eyes. âHere you go,â she says, handing over a form to fill. Bucky slides it over to his âgirlfriendâ while he pulls out the money and a tip. The woman takes both and hands him the last key with a smile. âThank you. We hope you enjoy your stay. Breakfast is from seven to ten.â
They nod, and voice their thanks, and head upstairs as the vacancy sign is turned off. The already muted sound of the few patrons in the lobby dulls as they climb the stairs, and the relief he started feeling near the harbor is more palpable now. He can rest, here. Itâs a safe place, if only for a few hours, if only for as long as they are here.
That feeling is overtaken by embarrassment and mortification when he opens the door to see just one double bed in the room. The room is, like the rest of the inn, homely, but there is just one bed. A bathroom, a small closet, a little desk with a mirror above it, and the one bed.Â
âIâll take the floor,â he tells her, and she laughs out a tired laugh, smile lines crinkling now as she reviews the situation before dumping her bag on the floor near the door.
She shakes her head. âAfter 14 hours in that ferry?â She asks incredulously, and then sits down at the foot of the bed, taking her shoes off, and curling her toes in the rug beneath her in a mesmerizing motion. âIâm not that cruel, and neither of us are children. We can handle sleeping in the same bed.â
âFine.â
Bucky offers her to use the bathroom first, and sits down by the closet with the only gun he has. The Glock is taken apart in automated motions, and cleaned with a quiet efficiency, in the manner that has been executed a hundred times, but with the difference of the sound of someone in the shower, the soft rush of water and a gentler hum only he can detect. For the second time since knowing her, he thinks that if it werenât for the way theyâre both on their toes and on the run, this could be oddly domestic.Â
Itâs the kind of scene -- minus the gun and the hairs still standing on the back of his neck -- that his past self used to dream of. Enough money to take his girl somewhere away from Brooklynâs smoke and gray, and enough time and a heart pure from the soot that has now accumulated from killing to spend on her.Â
The remembered desire is so achingly nostalgic that he doesnât realize sheâs left the bathroom until her hair is dripping on the floor in front of him, and he realizes his gun has been clean and resting reassembled in his hands for several minutes now.
âYour turn,â she says, taking the towel off from around her neck. She smells of soap. After putting away the precious weapon, he heads inside and takes that shower. He turns the water so hot his skin is pink and scrubbed raw by the time he leaves, and goes out to find a razor from his backpack.
The bathroom door is open while he shaves, and he does it now instead of the morning because he likes the stubble, but itâs getting a little out of hand. She appears in the doorway behind him and leans against the frame, watching. His hands tremble lightly.
âYou were worried she would recognize you,â she says, as the shaving cream gets lathered on. âItâs the hair, you know. If you get recognized, itâll be because of those gorgeous locks,â and Bucky raises an eyebrow in the mirror. The loose grin suggests sheâs joking, until she continues. âThe videos from the fight in D.C. are everywhere, Barnes. Surely you know that.â
Bucky looks her reflection straight in the eye as he picks up the razor. âIâm not cutting it.â She waits until heâs done shaving and has rinsed off his face and dried it, too.
âIâm not saying you have to. Tie it back, maybe,â she suggests with a shrug.
âHow?â he questions, and then walks past her into the room, repacking the shaving supplies.
She follows, stands behind him near the bed until heâs done and turning around. âYou want me to show you?â
Bucky is the one to shrug, now. âSure.â
Pulling the long sleeve of her shirt back, she takes a hair tie off her wrist and begins to comb her still-damp hair back. âYou just pull it back -- itâs easier if you have a brush -- and then coil it together... and there,â she demonstrates, wrapping the hair tie around the bun she has formed with practised expertise, and Bucky watches her nimble fingers move agilely.
She removes the hair tie and hands it to him, and he tries it, but the small bun he gathers at the nape of his neck falls apart before he can put the hair tie on. âI canât,â he mutters, frustrated.Â
âDo you want me to do it?â She asks, no judgement, her tone gentle and so open he canât help but take her up on it.
âOkay,â he responds, swallowing down the tension that is now crackling like electricity. Sitting down at the desk, he watches in the mirror as she moves slowly, drying up the last drops of water in his hair with a towel. She combs her hands gently and sparks fizz down his spine, and he has to force his eyes open and his heart steady.Â
Her touch is soft and honey-sweet, as she gathers his hair near the nape of his neck, and then twists it around until it is what he assumes to be a tiny, spherical mass. The tie coils once, twice, and thrice, and she steps back when sheâs finished, to let Bucky see.
Itâs a revelation, in some way. Not quite as thrilling as the touch of her hands on the back of his neck or her nails scraping against his scalp, but warmth pools somewhere deep inside his chest, and he looks at the face in the mirror with a new perspective. The man looking back has a divot in his chin he hasnât noticed and doesnât remember, and his jaw stands out against the shadows of the room. Bright blue eyes stand out more, unshielded by a curtain of brown-black hair, and heâs aware of her gaze watching him but he canât bring himself to address it.
Is this what finding yourself feels like, he wonders, but says:Â âThank you.â

chris with jake when he goes mute and is frustrated and stressed that he canât get any words out and canât express something he needs and jake is patient and gentle w him. maybe gets him to calm down and encourages him to use gestures to say what he needs đĽş
CW: Phobias/fear, trauma recovery backslide, kind of a flashback but Jake doesnât know that, PTSD, very vague references to Chrisâs past
Takes place very early, after Chris has picked out his new name but before heâs entirely comfortable with everyone.
Tagging Chrisâs crew: Â @burtlederp , @finder-of-rings , @endless-whump , @whumpfigure , @stxckfxck , @slaintetowhump, @astrobly, @newandfiguringitout, @doveotions
Jake finds him in the corner when he comes home from campus, curled into a tiny little ball with a heavy blanket wrapped around him, staring at nothing with his green eyes utterly unfocused, hair falling uncombed and mussed-up into his face. The blanket is one of Jakeâs, and the last Jake had seen it was folded up neatly in the closet on a shelf. How the kid even got to it, Jake isnât sure.
The house isnât empty - he can hear Leila and Krista chatting in the kitchen and Antoniâs probably upstairs - but the kid is all by himself, pressed into that little corner between the sidetable and the wall, nearly hidden from view by the beat-up old plaid couch, some ugly early-90â˛s or late-80â˛s relic Nat has probably had since... god, since before Jake was born.
He reminds himself not to say that to her.
âHey, Chris,â Jake says, quietly as can be, dropping his backpack on the floor in the entryway, kicking off his tennis shoes. He shivers a little as the cooler air hits - his shirt is damp from walking in the drizzling rain, sticking to his back a little, and he rolls his shoulders to dislodge the uncomfortable feeling.Â
The kid doesnât answer. Heâs picked a name out, sure, but it takes a while to remember the new one, and Jake isnât surprised when all he does is stare wide-eyed and silent in Jakeâs direction, pulling himself up tighter, the blanket wrapped around him like a fluffy blue cloak, hiding everything but the narrow pale face, the big green eyes, the big of hair stuck out over it all.Â
âYou okay?â Jake asks, keeping his voice low, his hands where the kid can see them. They didnât find any obvious scars on intake, no real sign that the kid had been subjected to the kind of violence that was common for runaways and rescues. But Jake has been with Natalie long enough to know that there are usually worse scars on the inside of their heads than whatever they wear on the outside.
Especially for the ones like the kid.
Chris doesnât answer, but his eyes follow Jakeâs movements, and thereâs a rustling sound, almost rasping, that Jake gradually realizes must be the kid rubbing at the inside of the blanket, scraping his fingernails along the soft fabric again and again.Â
Jake comes to a stop somewhere near the low-set coffee table and gradually crouches down to the kidâs height, staying right where he is, with a good four feet or so of distance between them. A nice safe amount of space.Â
He canât think of anything that might have gone wrong. The remote to the TV is still in the exact same spot heâd left it when he finished watching a news thing this morning, Leila and Krista are the least threatening people on Earth, Antoni has already taken a shine to the littlest rescue here... Natâs gone all day at meetings... so what is it?
Outside, the drizzle turns to a downpour, and Jakeâs eyes slowly slide towards the window, watching the water smack into the leaves of the white birch tree outside with enough force to force them to dip and spring back again.Â
Thereâs a sound of distant thunder, and Jake smiles slightly at it, the low rolling rumble is soothing to him. When he looks back, Chrisâs eyes have shifted, too, to stare into the rain as itâs heavy enough now that Jake can barely see across the street to where the weird cowboy guy and his husband live.Â
âIs it the rain, Chris?â Jake asks, gently. âDo you not like heavy rain?â
Silence, and then slowly Chris shakes his head, looking into Jakeâs eyes with something like pleading in his. Pleading for what, Jake isnât sure. But he doesnât move, not yet - not closer and not away.Â
âOkay, so itâs not the rain...â Jake sighs, a little lost. Normally when a rescue is like this heâll get Nat, sheâs better at this kind of thing, but Natâs not here and he canât just leave the poor kid like this, hiding from something. âChris, I canât help you if you canât tell me what you need. Can you explain what youâre scared of?â
Chrisâs expression goes more intense, like heâs trying to come up with words - body tense and straining, almost - and then he slumps back against the wall and shakes his head again, more emphatically this time. Almost angry. Jake watches him bang his head back against the wall behind him with a low grunt. Then he does it again.
âHey, hey, no need for that,â Jake says, gently. Chris stops, but blinks at him, eyes round as saucers and almost hurt - heâs not sure why telling him not to bang himself against a wall would hurt the kidâs feelings, but heâs clearly done just that. âI mean, look, Iâm sorry. I just mean... itâs okay if you canât say it right now, thatâs normal, yeah?â
Another long pause. Then, in the softest whisper, the kid asks, âIs it, it, um-... is it really? Normal?â
âYes,â Jake says, relieved heâs made a single sound at all. âIt is. A lot of rescues have stuff that makes them act kind of like this. Itâs so normal, Chris, I promise. But you canât stay here all day. Is there somewhere youâd rather go?â
Chrisâs lips press together, but his eyes move to focus behind Jake, on the stairs in the entryway. Jake glances back over his shoulder, then back to Chris.Â
âAre you saying you want to go to your room?â
Chris shakes his head rapidly, pulls further back into the blanket. Now only his eyes and a bit of soft strawberry-blond hair, those freckles scattered over his nose and cheeks, are the only things visible.
âOkay, so not your room...â Jake sighs, rubs a hand over his face. Something changes in the bit of face he can see - something in Chris crumbles at the gesture, and Jake lets his hand drop immediately, frowning. âHey, youâre okay. Iâm not mad. Just trying to decide... hey, I have an idea.â
No visible response this time.
âHereâs my idea. I have like... two hours of homework and some studying to do. What if you hang out with me, huh? You can chill on my bed while I do homework? Would that help? If you were with me?â
Thunder rolls again - Jake never even saw the lightning and feels a hint of disappointment. He fucking loves watching storms, and you canât really see much in his room, he doesnât like to open the blinds and curtains since you end up staring directly into the neighbor ladyâs bedroom window, which... gross.
The kidâs eyes go to the window, to the rain and the storm outside, and then back to Jake. Slowly, he nods - just a shift of the blanket down and then up again.Â
âOkay, good. Great. Can you stand up? You want to walk upstairs with me?â
This time, Jake catches the lightning, the crack of thunder that comes right after it. He doesnât see Chris flinch - heâs looking out the window. By the time he looks back, Chris is just shaking his head again. Now his nose is behind the blanket, too, and heâs just big green eyes and a few freckles and nothing else.
âOkay... no walking. Got it. Um... Iâll carry you, and then I can come back down for my stuff. Howâs that sound? Iâll get us some tea or something, too, to drink. Yeah?â
A quick nod, slightly less panicked eyes.Â
Jake lets out a sigh of relief and smiles, standing - his legs ache from having been crouched so long - and moving over to the scared teenager that had hidden himself so well and so silently.Â
Heâll have to talk to Leila and Krista and Antoni about keeping a better eye out for stuff like this. Theyâre all further along in recovery, they probably donât even remember the days they were all silent and still, lost in their own memories and minds. But theyâll watch over the kid if he reminds them, heâs sure of it.
When he leans down, Chris reaches up, sliding arms around his neck and clinging like a barnacle as Jake slips one arm under him to hold him steady and balances himself with the other, pulling the blanket up with them, tucking it as best he can so Chris wonât get cold.Â
âDo you think youâll be able to talk to me a little, once weâre up in my room?â Jake asks, shifting so he can adjust his hold and get a better grip. Chrisâs arms tighten like heâs afraid Jake will put him back down again.
He feels a brush of hair against his neck as the kid nods. âA, a, a little, maybe,â Chris says, in a low soft voice that is barely not a whisper. âM-Maybe. In a, a little while, Jake.â
Jake heads for the stairs - Chris looks like he was once all muscle and has lost some of that in the life heâs lived, and he doesnât weigh nearly as much as Jake thinks he probably should by now. Itâs entirely too easy, too effortless, to carry him up the stairs with the blanket wrapped around him.Â
âThatâs okay, take your time,â Jake says, gently, thinking about the essay he has to write tonight, has to, heâs been putting it off too long and itâs due Thursday... thinking about the studying, heâs got a test tomorrow and he absolutely cannot bomb it...
âThatâs okay,â Jake says, as much to himself as to Chris. âItâs okay if todayâs not your best day. Letâs just get you somewhere where you feel safe first, and see what happens, all right?â
âAll, all right,â Chris murmurs. His voice is weak and it stirs something in Jake, some deep-seated need to take the reason for that weakness away and ensure it never comes back. âI... I want to feel safe.â
Jake feels the weight of arms around him and the body in his arms and thinks, I hope I can be safety for you. I hope I donât fuck this up.Â
I hope I figure out what set you off like this today.
Outside the house, the rain pours, and the thunder rumbles like something moving underneath.

Word Count: 2738
Warnings: Mason being an adorable little asshole
Pairing: Natasha x Reader
(pt.1 pt.2 pt.3 pt.4 pt.5 pt.6)
I can do this, you think as you decide to take the stairs up to your 9th floor apartment. Sheâs just a kid.
My kid.
It shouldnât bother you as much as it does. Youâve co-parented Mason for five years. You literally grew her and pushed her out of your body. So why were you so nervous to have to parent her alone for a few days?
Because youâre not okay, your mind tells you, but you ignore it. Youâre fine. Everything is fine.
You want to run away, but itâs fine.
And as you open the door to your apartment and see Mason drawing, you donât want to run away anymore. You havenât gotten to spend alone time with her since- well, it doesnât matter. You missed hanging out with her and having some alone time.
So you make the best of it.
Itâs not as bad as you thought it would be. She helps you make meals. Well, she bosses you around (like her mother, you think) while you do the work. You play, you watch movies, you have sleepovers. One night you even made a fort.
âWhatâs the password?â Mason questions you from her spot in the fort.
The very same fort you built and she kicked you out of.
âI love you,â you offer.
âNo! Try again,â she giggles. âI love you, too,â she quickly whispers after only a momentâs hesitation. Much better.
âI have pizza,â you offer again. She sticks her head out just enough to catch you in your lie before hiding once again.
âMommy is a better liar.â
Well, sheâs got you there.
âIs itâŚâ you look around, hoping to find some clue as to what the password could be. In truth, you think sheâs just making it up as she goes. She spends enough time with Nat that it wouldnât surprise you.
âHurry hurry!â
âI need a hint,â you practically beg, really trying to ham it up. âPretty please?â Mason may be just like Nat, but she has a few of your qualities.
One of which is that sheâs a sucker.
âIâll make a deal,â Mason says as she sticks her little hand out of the fort. âPay the entrance fee.â
Where did she even learn this shit?
âName your price.â
â10 pieces of chocolate,â she says while wiggling tiny, always sticky fingers.
âThatâs too high, three,â you counter.
âNine.â
âTwo.â
âYouâre going the wrong way!â Mason giggles and finally sticks her head out of the fort.
âIâll give you five,â you tease as you lean forward and touch your forehead to hers, scrunching your nose when she laughs even harder. âTake it or leave it.â
âNo deal!â She practically screams, and you flinch back from the noise.
The scream of metal twisting in ways it shouldnât. The team in your ears, your own screams deafening as you-
â-Momma?â
Your eyes shoot open and you look into Masonâs green ones, and youâre home again. Not on the mission, not trapped, just home. Your daughter is right there, looking at you, and you just have to reach out and touch her.
âIâm sorry,â you whisper. Itâs not enough. You know itâs not enough.
âItâs okay,â she says softly before leaning forward and giving you a sticky kiss on the forehead. Itâs gross. You love it.
Youâre okay. Youâre fine. You have to be fine.
Natasha is set to return on a Sunday. Mason had woken up early, far too early for anyone to wake up on a Sunday, but she wanted to get started on breakfast. We canât let mommy come home to no breakfast, can we? Yes. Yes you can.
But you get up anyway and let your daughter boss you around about what breakfast should be made: eggs, toast, pancakes, waffles, bacon, oatmeal, coffee, tea, chocolate milk, the list goes on. Itâs as if she thinks Nat has never had breakfast in her life. You both know Nat only ever just eats fruit.
Hell, Mason even put the leftover Thai food out.
She was definitely Natâs child.
Youâre desperately trying to listen to Mason talk about her dreams while also not getting distracted and burning the bacon when someone knocks at the door. Who would be knocking so early?
Nat had a key.
Before you can stop her, Mason runs to the door calling for Nat. You donât think sheâs old enough to understand your wife can get in if she wants. Itâs a rush to move the bacon and turn the stove off so you can stop Mason from opening the door for a possible stranger.
âUncle Nick!â Mason cries, and you can hear her giggling.
And you hear your heart stop.
Nick doesnât come over unannounced.
You arenât sure if you want to go greet him at the door. Nothing good comes from unannounced visits, especially not from Nick. Who does he think he is to show up when he knows Nat is away on a mission.
Sheâs on a mission. Sheâs fine. Youâre fine.
âDonât say it,â you whisper when you make it to the kitchen entry and see Nick holding Mason.
âSay what?â He asks, looking straight at you.
âDonât,â you say even quieter, if it was even possible.
âIs mommy home?â Mason asks, and you give Nick a look. A look that says youâll kill him if he tells your daughter that something happened to Nat.
Nothing happened to Nat. Sheâs fine. Youâre fine.
âItâll be a little longer, kid,â Nick says. âBut she sent you a gift.â
He puts her down and hands her a small box of chocolates that he got from his pocket. Mason cheers and runs off to the kitchen to open the box. Her sweet tooth was too big for her to ask if they wanted a piece.
âY/N-â
âI said donât, Nick,â you say, more forceful now that Mason is slightly out of earshot.
âSheâs fine,â Nick says. He reaches out to you but you step back. âItâs safer to extend the mission than to pull her out now.â
Sheâs fine. Youâre fine. Everything is fine.
âYou would tell me,â you shoot back. âRight?â
âI would tell you,â he confirms, and you nod and invite him to breakfast.
He wouldnât lie. He couldnât lie.
What was supposed to be a short, few day mission ends up going past two months. In that time you have to manage taking care of Mason, getting her to school, doing your work, training agents. You worry about Nat the whole time and feel on edge every time someone comes up to you at work.
Maybe thatâs how Nat felt when you died. But you were fine.
Maybe throughout the time, when Mason canât see, you break down. Maybe you cry in the shower because youâre scared and the water agitates your cybernetics that Tony says are flawless. And maybe you canât sleep because you have nightmares, about dying, about Nat, about Mason.
But youâre okay. Youâre fine.
And youâre absolutely fine when Mason says she doesnât feel good and asks if she can go to work with you.
Thatâs fine, too.
You know sheâs lying. She always bites her lip when she lies. But sheâs your daughter; if she asked you to steal the moon, you would do it. So you help her pack a day bag and get her in the car.
When you look in the rear view mirror, you can see her practically bouncing in her seat. At least sheâs happy.
Her purple Hawkeye backpack is bigger than she is when she puts it on. You have to fake a cough to hide the laughter as you reach out for her to hold your hand. She grabs it eagerly and you both walk into the Compound and head to your office.
Itâs nothing fancy, just a small office. As a âhigher up,â you at least get a semi-private office, but it still made you claustrophobic. Not that it mattered because you were fine. And you were even more fine when Mason sat at the little desk you had against a wall.
A desk just for her.
You know sheâs going to cause trouble. You can feel it in your bones. Sheâs too quiet while you fill out paperwork, and every now and then you hear her giggle. But when you look over at her, sheâs just colouring.
Why was she so suspicious?
âHey boss,â you hear, and you look over to see Luke standing in the doorway. âHey Little Boss,â he says soon after with a wink at Mason.
âHi, Uncle Luke!â Mason calls and tries to wink back, but she used both eyes. Well. Itâs the thought that counts.
âNeed something?â You asked as you leaned back in your chair, trying not to groan as your skin stretched over the augmentations.
You were fine.
âMind if I take Little Boss with me on a few errands?â He asks. The way Mason practically jumps up leads to more suspicion.
But you see her smile, and how can you tell her âno?â
âPlease donât teach my daughter bad things,â you plead, but you know itâs useless. She was raised around the Avengers, after all.
âIâll keep him out of trouble,â Mason says with a serious look on her face. You gesture for her to come closer and give her a quick kiss on the head before shooing the both of them out of your office.
And once theyâre gone, all hell breaks loose and everyone knows itâs your fault.
It starts when Tony stops by your office only half an hour after Mason and Luke ran off. You didnât have to ask what happened when you see Tony with damp, pink hair.
âIâm sorry,â you say even though you want to laugh until you canât breathe.
âSheâs evil,â is all he says before walking back out. You canât argue with him.
The next disaster happens 15 minutes later. You were trying to brew some more coffee to try and fight your nightmare-induced fatigue when you hear someone clear their throat behind you. You have to bite your cheek to keep from smiling.
âNew friendship bracelets?â You ask as your eyes land on Buckyâs and Clintâs hands.
âWho gave her handcuffs?â Bucky asks as he holds his wrist up, forcing Clintâs hand to follow.
âDid you ask her?â You shoot back.
âShe was too busy running away laughing,â Clint grumbles, but you can see the blush creep up his neck when Buckyâs hand grazes his own.
âYouâre handcuffed to an assassin, Clint,â you say softly, âhave him pick the lock.â
âWeâre not done talking about this,â Clint says as he pulls Bucky away to take care of their problem. Maybe while Bucky picks the lock, theyâll take care of all that sexual tension between them.
It only gets worse as the morning goes on. Two of your agents come up to you with tears in their eyes and donuts in their hands. Apparently the donuts had been filled with mayonnaise.
Bruce comes to your office with his hands stuck to a hand sanitizer bottle. One that was now filled with clear glue instead of sanitizer.
Nick came to you with half an oreo in his hand. An oreo that smelled suspiciously of mint toothpaste.
Your personal favourite was the screams of agents that was soon followed by the overwhelming smell of Febreze. When you looked out your door, four empty, zip-tied Febreze cans were piled outside.
When Mason walked back into your office with a guiltless grin, you wanted to have her explain. You knew you should tell her that she canât just prank everyone at work just because she wanted to.
But it made the day⌠interesting.
What harm was there in a few little pranks, right?
âDonât tell me about it,â you say as you hand her the sandwich you had made for lunch. âI need to be able to claim plausible deniability.â
âWhatâs that?â Mason asks as she scrunches her nose and takes a bite of her sandwich.
âIt means I can keep you out of trouble,â you tease before kissing her scrunched nose and eating your own sandwich.
You teased each other as you munched on your small lunch. Sometimes you would steal a chip from her pile, other times she would reach over and âstealâ a bite of your sandwich. At one point she ended up tossing grapes at you and laughing when you couldnât catch them.
It was just⌠mundane. You were okay.
âBusy?â
Both you and Mason turn to the door to see Maria standing there, arms crossed over her chest. As usual. She looks as professional as always and you can definitely see why Nat used to have a crush on her.
âHi, Auntie M,â Mason says around a mouthful of sandwich.
âHi, Little M,â Maria shoots back with a small smile.
âWhatcha need?â You ask as you set the last few bites of your sandwich down and wipe your hands off on a napkin. Normally you would use your pants, but Mason doesnât need to learn that habit.
âNatâs jet is landing soon,â Maria says. She keeps eye contact with you. Itâs comforting.
âMommyâs home?â Mason asks. She drops her sandwich when she stands up and rushes out the door as your heart races.
âMason wait!â You call and run after her, but sheâs got a good start.
You hate when she runs off.
âMason stop!â You shout after skidding around a corner and seeing Mason still heading toward the hangar. She doesnât answer you, and she definitely doesnât stop.
How was she faster than you?
How was she in better shape than you??
You jumped off the stairs to the hangar to try and land in front of Mason, but the landing jars you too much and you groan and fall to your knees. Good as new, you think cynically to yourself, what a load of bullshit. Tony was going to get an earful later.
The jet had already landed and Steve walked out as you managed to push yourself back up to your feet. Youâre almost desperate to see Nat, but you feel a million times better when you see Mason jump into your wifeâs arms.
Sheâs okay. Youâre okay.
You walk the rest of the way, stopping just far enough away that Nat canât touch you. It makes you want to cry that youâre worried about touching your own wife. But youâve hurt her, you died, you canât just pretend like everything is fine.
Even though it is fine. Youâre fine.
Instead you stand there and cross your arms defensively over your chest. At least Mason is happy, and Nat looks happy to be home. Theyâre both chatting and laughing and smiling and thatâs all you want. And you wait patiently until Nat looks up and locks eyes with you.
And itâs like everything around you disappears. You get the same feeling you had when you first saw her, and your palms get sweaty and your mouth is dry. Itâs like nothing ever happened, nothing had gone wrong, you were just the happy family you used to be.
But you see that pain in her eyes. Thereâs a desperation that you only recognise because youâve seen it in the mirror. And you know youâre going to have to talk about it, and youâre going to have a lot of talks about it. But you can see that she knows it, too.
Maybe thatâs a start. But thatâs okay. Thatâs fine.
So you step forward and wrap your arms around the both of them. Nat doesnât stiffen like she has since you came back. No, this time she melts into you and you swear you hear her whimper, almost inaudibly. So you squeeze them tighter because you wonât hurt them again.
You pull back just enough to look at her, and only then are you so bold. Leaning down enough to kiss her, sighing into the feeling that you had missed more than life itself. That feeling of home.
âGross,â Mason teases, and you feel Nat smile against your lips before pulling back and giving Mason a kiss on the nose.
âAny after-mission-requests?â You ask, and Nat just looks at you for a moment with teary eyes that she blinks back.
âI want to go home.â
And you both smile.
âHome sounds good.â

listening party
summary: he canât get enough of you and the others like to hear it.
word count: 1.9k
pairing: bruce x black!reader 18+
warnings: straight up smut, rough sex, Daddy kink, age gap (18+), exhibitionism(?), voyeurism(?), slight subspace (pls remember subspace is different for everyone so if the descriptions in this donât match your experience- doesnât mean itâs wrong) this... is just about to be nasty. i have a crying during sex kink so yeah thatâs in here good
a/n: i want bruce to ruin me. that is all. also, this was very last minute so i am sorry if itâs not the greatest.
ââââ
âThe rabbits are going at it again, I would not suggest going down that hallâ Sam warned.
âI can hear them from here- what difference does it make?,â Tony scoffed.
You were the apple of everyoneâs eye, but only Bruce caught your attention in that way. You found it amusing that everyone thought Bruce couldnât keep hulk contained in bed but you hit them with the
âWho says Hulk isnât present anyway?,â
There was nothing extremely exclusive about you and Bruce, no dating, nothing, just him rearranging your guts whenever you two were in the mood. Everyone knew not to go anywhere near you, despite them wanting a taste.
âAre we gonna have another listening party? or are we going to mind our business this time?,â Wanda played with a straw in her cup while the others shrugged.
âI donât know, guys,â Steve shrugged, âDonât you feel itâs a little invasive to listen in?,â
âInvasive my ass,â Bucky chuckled to himself, âThis is the closest we can get to actually being with her and donât act like you donât blow a nice one when you finally head to your room,â
âBuck!,â Steve frowned and scowled at his best friend putting him out there like that.
âPlus Iâm sure they know. Y/N is a fan of exhibitionism so,â Natasha smacked her lips and made herself comfortable in her seat on the couch. A comfy position where she could clench her thighs together and get enough friction that she even has a mini orgasm right with you and Bruce.
âFuck!,â
Your voice rang through the room and Tony muted the television and sat with a bowl of popcorn in his lap
âLet the show begin,â
ââââ
Bruce pretty much had you in the shape of a pretzel, legs crossed at your calves and pushed towards your chest, the burn in your thighs was ignored as you felt Bruce deep inside.
âHhhhhh,â you whined, âDonât stop! fuck, please donât stop!,â
You could never get enough of practically feeling him in your stomach. He loved watching the way your eyes rolled, he loved the way your breath hitched, he loved the way tears ran down your face because he made you feel so good you could barely comprehend it.
âYouâre so fucking wet. Who did it?,â He couldnât help but taunt you, knowing you were a good girl for him, always answering his questions despite his dick being buried deep inside you.
âYou! Only you,â
âThatâs right. That pussy is so wet itâs soaking onto my sheets,â
âS-sorry Daddy,â
You knew he meant it as a good thing but damn you couldnât help but put on a show of innocence. You loved that he made you feel so small in these moments. You were a sucker for a greying, well established man who put you in your place and took you to ravish as his own.
âLook at that little pussy taking all of me in,â he groaned and you felt your walls spasming at that sound. If it were socially acceptable, youâd have his moans and groans set as your ringtones.
Bruce wasnât abnormally huge but a good 7 inches had you swooning, especially since he was an older man that still knew how to use it.
âYouâre gonna make me cum, again,â you sobbed.
Bruce smiled at your tear smeared face and hiked your hips up a little higher and that had you speaking in tongues, screaming so loud it echoed down the hall.
âThatâs right, baby. Scream,â he grabbed your face in his hand and his eyes bored into your soul which was halfway fucked out of your body, âLook at me when you cum,â
âYes yes yes!,â you wailed. You could barely keep your eyes open as your jaw dropped as your body gave in, succumbing to his ways and convulsing in an orgasm.
âKeep cumming. Love feeling your pussy pull me in,â
God, he looked so heavenly above you, hair on his chest, glistening with a layer of sweat. Your toes curled so hard they cracked and it felt like you were experiencing astral projection.
âCome back down, baby. Iâm not done with you yetâ he pulled out and looped his arms around your thighs to pull you right to the edge of the bed so he could bury his face right in your pussy so he could devour you until you see the planets swirling around the room.
Bruce had a skilled tongue, and the way he flicked your clit had you flinching away from him. Another pit formed in your stomach and had you grabbing for your breasts for leverage. Two of his thick fingers easily pushed in you, curling up and moving back and forth in a come her motion. It made you weak every time. Fingering was a big weakness and had you gushing each time.
âBruce!!,â you looked down to see him smirking at you, you both knew he was your undoing, âjust like that, just like that, donât stop, baby please!,â
Your clit throbbed in his mouth and he slurped up everything you had to offer, âFuck, I love how good you taste.â
He removes his fingers and pushed them past your lips, ever the sharer he was. Watching his pink tongue swirling around your pussy, kissing your chocolate lips, with his fingers in your mouth that were once covered in your juices until they coated your tongue had you cunning in no time. Both hands on the back of his head as you announced another orgasm.
âThatâs it baby, let them hear it. Let them know who you belong to,â
âââ
âDaddy, fuck!,â
âI told you they knew!!,â Steve hisses, âNow theyâre gonna think weâre perverts for listening,â
âWe literally get off on hearing them fuck- though I doubt theyâre thinking that of us- they wouldnât be wrong,â Tony adjusted himself in his jeans, and rested his head back against the back of the couch with a scotch in hand, âLittle dove knows how much we wanted her so of course sheâs gonna beg him to bang her brains out, it makes her loud and if sheâs loud, we hear and if we hear, we crave her more. Attention greedy little sub- itâs quite cute,â
âHow do you know sheâs a sub?,â Bucky asks
âSheâs a junior intern in college with a daddy kink. Sheâs had heart eyes for âBruceyâ ever since she walked through those doors. She loves older men, thatâs why she likes to tease Tony too,â Natashaâs thighs clench at your pleas to be fucked faster, wishing she could just go get her strap and give it to you all night, âSo I think itâs safe to say, little dove is a sub, a bratty one at that,â
Everyone knows of the times youâd purposely sass Bruce so heâd put you in your place, in front of everyone or not. No one really remembers how you two came to be, just one night they heard all the ruckus from Bruceâs room and the next morning you stalked out of his room, curls matted to your head, walking with a limp and marks covering your chest. You were grateful your class was cancelled that day.
âChoke me, Daddy. I need it- want you to feel my pulse pound for you... want you to f-feel it against your fingertips,â
Clint groaned and shook his head, âThis girl is going to be the death of me,â
ââââ
âThats right, little dove. Your pulse pounds for me and only me,â nose touching yours, your held his hand tighter around you neck, wanting to see the Big Bang happen right in front you, you wanted to be choked out so hard you saw the universe being created.
âYou look so pretty smiling while my hand is around your throat, cheeks damp from me fucking those cute little tears out of you,â
Your teeth dig into your lip as you looked up at him, body moving back and forth m the sheets from the force of him fucking you relentlessly. Your eyes began lulling closed so he removed his hand, your back arching off the bed with a gasp big enough to create a whole new generation.
You saw the Big Bang right in front of your eyes. Seeing a bunch of pretty colors, adoring the creation of the stars and planets.
âOh, God,â Bruce moaned to himself. He was close. He turned you on your side, you curled your legs into your chest for comfort as you were getting the life fucked out of you to the point where you saw all your future lives- the lives after this one.
âD-Daddy I canât take it- not another!,â
Your body was preparing you for another orgasm but damn, you were spent, over stimulated, youâd fall right into subspace and it wouldnât take much right now.
âBe a good girl and take it, dove. You wanna be my good girl, donât you?,â
âââ
âY-Yes yes yes, daddy I d-do,â
âOh sheâs deep in it now,â Wanda smirked.
âThatâs record time isnât it?,â Sam looked at his watch. You two were going at it for a while before they decided to sit here and listen but by the sound of your shrill mewling, youâve hit euphoria. They know just by your noises when youâve hit subspace.
âSeriously just about to have a hand free orgasm because she... is killing me,â Tony ran a hand over his face and squeezed his eyes shut.
âI would be grossed out if I wasnât in the same boat,â Bucky muttered.
Small mumbles of âme tooâ and âsameâ Weâre heard from around the room.
âCum in me, daddy. P-please!,â
âOh God,â Nat hissed, hips bucking up into nothing
ââââ
âWant you to come for me one more time before I give you what you want, baby,â his lips kissed your cheeks and shoulder, soothing you, knowing youâre feeling a million nerve endings being set on fire in this moment.
You couldnât even announce that you were cumming, the words wouldnât come. You became incoherent while your ears began ringing. The rhythm of his hips stuttered as your pussy gushed all over him.
You couldnât even hear yourself as you let out the cry of a banshee.
Bruce bottomed out to cum deep inside of you.
âSuch a good little dove,â he have a hard thrust, making sure to get his seed deep inside you. His body fell on top of yours while you whimpered and shook in cold chills. Bruce wiped the sweat and tears from your face to hold
It in his hands and pepper kisses here and there, âyou did so good, dove. Iâm not going anywhere,â after a few minutes, he pulled out and just laid beside you, massaging the convulsions out of your body and giving you sips of a drink to hush your hiccups and replenish any energy your lost.
âLetâs get you cleaned up,â
ââââ
âIâm ashamed,â Wanda covers her face and walks away to her room.
âIâm not,â Tony shrugs, âThat shitâs hot as fuck,â
âIâm... going to my room,â Steve rushed away and they all filed out one by one to their own rooms to either wash their shame away or add to it.
Tony say comfortably on the couch and chuckled to himself.
âFriday!,â
âYes, Tony?,â

THE GOOD DOCTOR
CHAPTER FIVE
Ch. Summary: The team executes a strategy to stop the messages and find the sender, but not everything goes according to plan.Â
Warnings: swearing
Pairing: Sam Wilson x OFC
Taglist: @marvelousmrstark
A/N: taglist is open so feel free to shoot me an ask or even message me! i debated splitting this in half, mostly because i donât want the story to move too fast, but there was no good spot to cut it. it also feels a little choppy but iâll stop critiquing myself now!! Â
âITâS A BURNER.â Tonyâs apologetic tone falls on deaf ears. He, Thea, and Sam are gathered in one of the compoundâs conference rooms. Last night, Thea had brought him her phone with a little pushing from Sam.Â
âDonât text back,â Heâd urged, going so far as to take the device from her. She didnât protest, didnât fight his guiding hand on her back as they headed down to the lab. She scarcely registered his hushed exchange with Tony, barely remembered going back to her bedroom. Sam had helped her into bed, she thinks. Thea remembers him sitting by her until she finally succumbed to sleep, locket and key both safely resting between her collarbones.Â
Now, as Tony tries in vain to get her attention, she stares straight ahead, fiddling with the aforementioned neck-wear. After a few attempts, she sits up straight in her seat.Â
âIt doesnât matter who sent it,â Thea declares. The determination in her voice seems to leave both men taken aback. âYou read the message.âÂ
âYeah, I did, Dottie, and youâre not going anywhere,â Tony shoots back. âWe donât even know where theyâre talking about.âÂ
âYes, I do!â Thea argues. She doesnât know when she stood up, but even barefoot sheâs got an inch over Tony. He makes a face as she pokes a finger into his chest. âI have to go back to Berlin, Tony. It has to be Berlin, and it has to be me.âÂ
âS.H.I.E.L.D. didnât destroy that Hydra base when they rescued you?â Sam asks in disbelief. Thea drops her hand with a sigh and a shake of her head. As sheâs noticed since arriving, heâs always the most level-headed. The statement remains true as he watches her, leaned back on two chair legs.Â
âItâs all underground,â She explains. An idea forming, she taps the holographic screen in the room once and begins drawing with her fingertip. âI was kept...in a sealed room...there were more rooms for other....kids, people, I think, and âoperating roomsâ...âÂ
Soon enough, sheâs got a large layout drawn out, glowing on the screen. Sam lets out a low whistle as Thea steps back. âIf they destroyed this baseâŚâ
âTheyâd blow the whole damn city.â Someone finishes her sentence. Itâs Bucky, face set in a grimace as he and the rest of the team file into the room. Thea nods grimly, taking a seat along with everyone else. As she takes in the group, the Avengers, the gravity of the situation grips her. The woman feels almost unworthy of such a great effort, until she remembers before her relatively mundane career, she was victim of the kind of evil the Avengers had been created to prevent.Â
âSo this is the base whereâŚ?â Steve asks, the question hanging in the air. Thea hums in confirmation, pointing to the big circle around âher roomâ, which was also conveniently labeled. The captain has made his way to the front of the room beside Tony, observing the crude drawing Theaâs produced.
âI donât see why we canât just bring her there, with some backup, find out who it is and take care of them,â Bucky remarks, to both Tony and Steveâs chagrin.Â
âListen, Terminator-â Tony starts, but Steve cuts him off.Â
âBuck, weâre not bringing someone with little to no training into an abandoned Hydra base, especially when we donât know whoâs behind the messages.â Steve meets Theaâs raised brows. âNo offense.âÂ
Thea shrugs. âYou have a point. But so does Bucky. The messages asked for me. Theyâre about me.âÂ
âWhich is why they wonât be expecting a group of actual, trained people to show up instead,â someone else argues. Itâs Rhodey, sat at the end of the table. âEven if they do expect us, whatâs the worst they can do?âÂ
And even though Thea finds this argument weak, her protests fall on deaf ears. Bucky gives her a âwhat can you do?â look as he raises his hand to volunteer to go, along with Steve, Nat, and Rhodes. The only small relief she gets is when Tony agrees to let her go along, but only if she stays in the hotel room with whoever runs surveillance. Once all non-participating members have filed out of the conference room and Steve is wrapping up his planning, Tony gives Thea back her phone.
âYou can keep it for now, but donât use it for anything out of the ordinary,â He warns as he slides it across the table towards her. âItâs not bugged, but if you get another message, you come find me.âÂ
Thea doesnât even get the chance to nod before the cell phone lights up. As if it knew she had it. Tony leans over to read the message with her.Â
UNKNOWN NUMBER
One week.Â
Steve, too, has joined them, and Thea swears she hears him cuss under his breath as he reads the message. Tony pats his back, though whether itâs meant to be reassuring or condescending Thea canât tell.Â
âFRIDAY?â The shorter man calls out. âHowâs the Quinjet looking for another visit to Berlin?âÂ
                                -
The week goes faster than Thea expects. Most mornings are crammed with meetings where she is seen and not heard before she goes about her day in the med-bay. Nat agrees to operate behind the scenes, after Tony attaches cameras to Steveâs shield and Buckyâs jacket. Rhodeyâs newest War Machine suit is already equipped with them. Wanda and Sam are there to see Thea off. Wanda engulfs her in a tight embrace before kissing her cheek. Sam has an off-putting look on his face when the witch pulls away, almost like he wants to do the same thing. He settles for squeezing her shoulders with both hands instead.
âCall me when you land,â He says casually. Thea grins, but before she can reply, Steve is calling her name, and Sam steps back.Â
âGood luck!â Wandaâs voice crows. Thea shoots a last glance over her shoulder. She is gifted with Wandaâs breathless waves and Samâs unreadable half-smile before the door closes. Bucky sits at the controls, but Thea is fairly certain that the jet is on autopilot. As Steve and Rhodey talk strategy over a holographic projection of Berlin, Thea takes a seat towards the back. Surprisingly, Natasha settles down beside her.Â
âI donât imagine this is easy for you,â The Russian murmurs, so as not to draw anyone elseâs attention. Thea stares straight ahead. âYouâll be able to see everything that happens, though. Weâve got to get a hotel room a little ways away from the Hydra base, since weâre...not exactly popular in Germany right now.âÂ
Thea quirks a brow at this. âThe Accords, right? Didnât you sign?âÂ
âI did, I did,â Nat replies, but thereâs an undertone to her voice that almost sounds like regret. âI was just trying to do what was right. But what I really wanted to tell you was, I...I know a little what itâs like. To be experimented on. To have...to have your choice taken away from you.âÂ
Thea does look at her, now, even though Natashaâs eyes are somewhere far away. Itâs a rare moment of vulnerability Thea wouldnât expect from her, but sheâs grateful for it. Much like the woman beside her last week when Thea was opening up, she takes Natâs hand.Â
âThank you,â She says earnestly. Nat finally meets her eyes. âSeriously. For...all of this.âÂ
Nat smiles, but itâs small. She gives Theaâs hand a squeeze as Steve motions them towards where he and Rhodey stand.Â
  âDonât thank me yet.âÂ
                                  -
At nightfall, Nat and Thea cram side by side on a cheap hotel sofa. On a coffee table before them sits a laptop with 3 different video feeds open on it, and a small blueprint in the corner. Three green heat signatures indicate Bucky, Steve, and Rhodes, having just entered the Hydra facility. Nat says something into the headset sheâs wearing as she nudges Thea and points to a red heat signature further inside.Â
âThatâs...thatâs my room. Somebodyâs in my old room,â Thea whispers. As if triggered by the realization, memories of cold, damp nights and hollow screams play through her head. She shoves the intrusions away as Natasha relays the information to the trio on the ground. They begin to head in that direction, lights flickering on overhead as they walk. Rhodey follows behind the two supersoldiers, his camera catching Buckyâs gleaming silver fingers hovering near his belt. Steve pulls his shield off his back as they pause in front of an all-too-familiar heavy door. The captainâs fingers hover over the keypad, but the door slides open before he can even ask for a pin. Even through Natâs headset, Thea flinches at the sound of stone grinding against stone.Â
âCaptain Rogers,â A voice emerges from darkness as the three men slowly enter. A snap of fingers, and a single light bulb illuminates the room. Thea feels clammy, but is glued to her seat. A sunken-faced woman is perched on the rickety excuse for a bed. She seems eerily collected as she peers around Steve and Bucky, looking a little disappointed when she only sees Rhodey in his suit by the doorway. âI see you did not bring my little manipulator with you.âÂ
âAnd why would we do that?â Bucky snarls. His fingers curl around a trigger in the time it takes Thea to blink, but the woman only laughs.Â
âThis is the place it all ends,â she whispers. Natasha winces as loud static blasts through her headset. The last thing they see is the woman rising to her feet as the light overhead flickers, and then all three video feeds go black.Â
âFuck,â Nat breathes, tapping away anxiously at the computer. She repeats the word under her breath as she tears off her headset, continuing to fiddle with the laptop to no avail. She gets to her feet and begins rifling through a gym bag on the bed, pulling out several weapons. âWho was that? Call Tony, tell him I had to go in.â
âAbsolutely not,â Thea protests, getting to her feet as well. The look Natasha fixes her with is weary. âItâs my fault theyâre there in the first place. And that woman...sheâs a doctor, but sheâs also an enhanced. I donât...I donât remember her name, but she was one of...one of them.â
With a great sigh, Natasha crosses the room to Thea. She tucks a small handgun into the waistband of Theaâs pants and zips her hoodie over it. The spy pauses as she opens the door. âYou coming?â
The surgeon breathes a quick apology as she rushes after Natasha. The latter slides into the drivers side of the car theyâd gotten from the airport, tossing her phone to Thea as she does. âYou still have to call Stark and explain this mess.âÂ
Thea relents, dialing Tonyâs number as Nat rattles it off. Natasha cuts the 20 minute drive into 10 as Thea tries to reassure Tony theyâve got everything under control. She thinks once she even catches Pepper in the background, but she doesnât have the chance to ask. Natasha is taking the phone back, voice calm as she talks into the cell before she hangs up. âTrust us, Stark.âÂ
âDo you trust us?â Thea whispers as Natasha pushes through a set of doors, dead bolt already broken. A dimly lit tunnel leads down, down, down. Natasha replies to Theaâs question with raised eyebrows before pointing to Theaâs hip.
âI trust that you know enough to know how to use that, if youâre serious about not using your powers,â Natasha says evenly as they begin to descend. Theaâs fingers grip her locket and key. She doesnât even realize sheâs taken the lead until they reach the open door. The lights are working fine now, but the scene before them causes even Nat to gasp. Steve is slumped against the far corner, Rhodeyâs facial shield retracted and eyes closed where he lies on the ground, coughing. The bed frame has been toppled, and Bucky is crouching over his closest friend, jaw clenched. Before either of the new arrivals can inquire about what happened, footsteps echo behind them. Natasha and Thea whirl in unison. A horrible taste fills Theaâs mouth. The woman theyâd seen on the video feed spreads her arms wide, a gesture that might be welcoming in another situation, if she were anybody else.Â
âMy little manipulator,â She coos, accent thick. Thea flinches, and Natasha pulls levels the barrel of her pistol with the strangerâs forehead. The woman stops moving towards them, but her smile is unwavering. âWelcome home.âÂ

painted saint II
steve/bucky  art student and figure model au  ~1k words pt 1
The painting takes on a life of its own. Steve has never painted in his room like thisâhousing a project with him.
It has become his roommate. His strange, faceless roommate. Steve likes to save the faces for last, finds that the body language and environment determine the facial expression.
Well, that and it turns out that Bucky is a talker.
In class, the professor demanded silence from both the students and the figure model. As such, Steve assumed that Bucky was the quiet type. He was wrong.
As Bucky holds the pose, he chats. Endlessly, about whatever seems to drift through his mind. And Steve loves to listen.
Bucky talks about his workout routines and who took too long on the row machine. He talks about his mother who calls several times a month, usually on Sundays to see if Bucky is going to mass.
âOf course Iâm not going to mass,â Bucky says. âIâm a working man now; Iâm too hung over on Sundays.â And then he laughs so big and bright it could break Steveâs heart. âNot that I could make it to mass in undergrad either. Do you?â
âOh,â Steve says, catching the light that reflects off Buckyâs collarbones. âIâm not Catholic. Iâm Jewish.â
Buckyâs cheeks fill with color. In a frenzy, Steve scoops a dollop of the paint he mixed for skin tone and blends in a tinge of red, deepening the hue with Buckyâs blush.
âShit, sorry. I just assumed since youâre painting a saint and--â
Steve waves him off. He uses the blush tone for the flex of his pectorals. It seems Bucky blushes all the way down his chest. âAcademic curiosity,â he says slowly, fixated on getting the curve of his sternum correct. âWhat field do you work in?â
âIâm a dancer.â
âOh,â Steve says. He means to ask more about that. But heâs trying to get the shading right on the ribcage now, and thatâs always tricky. â
When they take a break, Bucky is still blushing. The image is so emblazoned into Steveâs subconscious that, even after he leaves, he takes up his colored pencils and sketches it over and over and over again. He dreams of it.
Some day, he wants to make Bucky blush like that.
---
âOh sure, I know Bucky Barnes.â Natâs voice always sounds so flat on the phone. She already has a limited intonation. The phone makes it worse. âHeâs in the company with me.â
âOh,â Steve says, worrying his lower lip between his teeth. Heâs staring at the painting right now, letting it sear into him. Even without a face, it seems to stare at him. âIs he good?â
âVery. When he lifts me, I fly.âÂ
Itâs a high compliment from Nat, who quit school a year early when the New York City Ballet Company scouted her.Â
âDo you want to hear the gossip?â
âI donât know,â Steve says. âDo I?â
âHeâs sleeping with the company director. There are pictures going around to prove it.â
Steveâs heart sinks down to his toes. âOh.â
âSeems to be your favorite word tonight. You okay over there, Cap?â
Itâs an old nickname. From when Steve wanted to be an airplane pilot. âUgh, I wish you wouldnât conspire with my mother.â
âAnd she wishes you would call her more.â
âBye, Nat.â
âNight, Cap. Ha. See what I did th--â
Steve hangs up and turns the painting away from his bed.
---
That night, Steve stares at his painting. He can see it now. The hard knot of his calves. The thick muscle in his thighs and arms. The twist of his body is fluid and graceful. Thatâs a dancerâs body.
When Steve wakes up in the morning, the bed is damp.
---
âYouâre really good,â Bucky says the next time he comes over. He stands next to Steve during a break, stretching out his shoulders and admiring his work.
Steve no longer needs a figure model to complete the painting, but has noticed that this painting is better than the others. Itâs possible that having a constant reference is improving his craft. Or itâs possible that heâs just inspired.
Steve canât help the smile that twitches at the corner of his mouth. Heâs trying to tamp down the flattered feeling fluttering in his stomach. It isnât going so well. Especially when Bucky smiles at him like that.
âIâm only as good as what Iâm painting,â Steve demurs.
âOh, when it comes to standing still, Iâm the best.â Bucky rocks his head from side to side and something pops. He winces, and Steve winces for him.
âStiff?â
âA little.â
âTake a longer break. I need to remix my brown.â
Bucky redresses in his robe and Steve expects him to take a seat at his desk chair. Instead, he sits on the bed next to Steve. His weight sinks the mattress, and Steve slides towards him until their thighs brush.
Buckyâs thigh is as warm and solid as it looks.
Steveâs heart rate spikes and his lungs seize. It triggers his asthma and the moment is ruined by a coughing fit. Tears stream from his eyes. He fumbles for his rescue inhaler. Bucky finds it for him--itâs on his bedside table--and braces a hand against the small of his back while Steve recovers.
âSorry,â Steve says when he can breathe again. âThe paint, it--â He swallows thickly. His eyes are still wet. âTriggers my asthma.â
âHere,â Bucky says, offering the flannel sleeve of his robe to dab at Steveâs eyes. âJesus, thatâs some asthma. My sister has it, but not so bad.â
âI have everything,â Steve chokes. âIâm deaf in my left ear, too.â
âNo shit. Well, now I know which ear to whisper my dirty secrets into.â
Steve shoves him away. Theyâve never really touched like that before, so itâs a risk on Steveâs part. But Bucky laughs uproariously and shoves him back, albeit lighter.Â
âAlright, alright, Michelangelo. I know what Iâm for. Here.â He stands and gets into the pose again, exaggerated. Left arm flung over his head, legs twisted. HIs expression overwrought with agony. âLike this?â
Steve snickers. âYouâre beautiful, Bucky,â he says and means it.

Stark Spangled Banner Ch26: The Only One In Colour
Summary:Â Itâs the big day...Katie and Steve finally tie the knot!
Warnings:Â Bad language, Fluff, Smut! (NSFW, Under 18s) Bad Language words, a hungover Captain...and who is that lurking in the shadows??
Pairing: Steve Rogers x OFC Katie Stark
Stark Spangled Banner MasterlistÂ
 31st August 2015.
It took Katie a while to realise where she was when she woke. As her mind came to he realised she was in her apartment at the tower, and when her eyes flew to the dress in its cover which was hanging up in the open closet her stomach did a flip.
It was her wedding day!
âGood Morning Miss StarkâŚâ Friday spoke, and Katie grinned. Miss Stark, not for much longer! âMiss Potts requested I inform her when you are awakeâŚâ
âGo ahead.â she grinned, and jumped out of bed, grinning at the reflection of her tacky âBrideâ short and vest Pyjamas that the girls had surprised her with last night when they had been sat around having their pamper session with several glasses of champagne. Making her way into the living room she was greeted by a loud squeal from Wanda, who along with Laura Barton had stayed in her apartment last night. Â Considering the amount of champagne that had been drunk, they all had surprisingly clear heads. It wasnât long before the Pepper and Nat arrived, and after a breakfast of fruit, pastries and croissants provided by the local bakery, Katie was ushered into the shower surprised at how calm she actually felt...
The Groom cracked one eye open and groaned when he realised he had passed out, fully clothed, on the sofa, Tony face down along the other side of it, drooling into the cushions. Steve looked round, Clint was on the large arm chair, Sam was sprawled on the large rug and Thor nowhere to be seen. Jesus Christ it had been a heavy one.
Of all the days to get his first hangover in over 70 yearsâŚhis wedding morning.
His wedding morning. Shit.
Sitting up, a stupid grin on his face, headache forgotten he nudged Tony with his foot. The billionaire jerked and tumbled off the side of the sofa.
âWhassgoin on?â he said, blinking before he grimaced âShit, my headâŚâ
Clint let out a groan âKeep it down manâŚâ
Sam let out an equally pained noise, not moving âWhat day is it?â âMy wedding day, fellas.â Steve said, grinning.
Tony groaned again, leaning back against the sofa âHow are you so sprightly old man?â âTrust me Iâm not.â he said, standing up âBut Katie will kill me if we turn up like this.â
âCoffeeâŚâ Clint said, standing up and swaying slightly âWe need coffeeâŚâ âAnd food.â Sam mumbled into the rug
âGood job I organised some.â Tony said, looking at his watch, squinting. âShould be arriving soon.â âWhereâs Thor?â Clint looked around.
âHereâŚâ came the Manâs deep voice as he strolled into the room. He was already dressed in a pair of jeans, t-shirt and his hair was damp from the shower
âMan, how are you so alive?â Sam sighed, sitting up.
âBecauseâŚâ he shrugged â I am the God of Thunder.â ******
Two hours later Pepper was bustling around topping everyoneâs Champagne up and when she reached Katie she gave her a fond smile âYou ok?â
âYeahâŚâ she smiled back âMaybe a little nervous, but mostly excitedâŚI canât believe Iâm finally walking down the aisle, you know?â
Pepper nodded, a grin spreading across her face âYeahâŚTony has been on the job making sure the marquee was right, caterers have arrived. I got a full blow by blow and he was nearly having had a fit when the alcohol and bar arrived an entire 4 minutes and 34 seconds late.â âI thought organisation was your job?â Nat quipped from where she was lounging in her light blue âBridesmaidâ robe.
âIt is.â she rolled her eyes âAnd I told him it would be ok butâŚwell, he just want everything to be right for his little girlâŚâ Katie rolled her eyes, a smile playing on her lips at the thought of her brother still trying to make sure she was happy.
âWhere is he now?â she asked.
âHe spent the night with the boys at the compound so heâll be on his way back shortly to get changed. Apparently they sat outside at the compound with a bottle of whiskey and a few Cubans...few sore heads this morningâ Pepper smirked. âEven Steve is feeling it.â
Katie grinned, sheâd only seen drunk Steve a handful of times, and he was definitely one of her favourite Steves.
"Clint mentioned that Tony had some Cubans last night. He seemed pretty excited." Laura said.
Wanda shook her head. "What is it about men and cigars?"
Natasha shrugged. "I like cigars."
âWhat a surpriseâŚâ Laura grinned, earning herself a glare off the red head. They were cut off then by FRIDAY informing them that Mateo, the hair stylist had arrived. Pepper told her to send him up and suddenly the room was filled with him, his assistants and his over the top personality, the one that Katie always loved when I went to get my hair done.
And then, it was down to business. He knew exactly what Katie wanted as sheâd had a rehearsal and he set about, sweeping her brunette locks up into the up-do sheâd picked- a bun which had a few small plaits running from my crown into it, her sweeping fringe perfectly set to frame my face.
Time seemed to fly and soon enough Katie was then in front of the make-up artist.
"Don't worry about a thing," the tiny blonde in front of her said as Katie asked her to do her best to cover the scars by her mouth and temple that Hydra had left. âYou're going to look perfect. I promise."
Another glass of champagne made it into Katieâs hand and 30 minutes later she was done and handed a mirror. Her mouth dropped open. Someone else, but yet, still her glanced back. Her make-up was heavy enough to last the day she suspected, but it was subtle enough to not be ridiculous. She had a light, neutral shade across her eye lids, which had a darker colour in the crease and a hit of sparkle. The contouring was amazing and the light gloss on her lips set everything off. And her scars were gone.
There was another announcement from FRIDAY about a delivery, and all of them looked at one another. âThatâs not me I swearâŚâ Pepper said.
âIâll goâŚâ Nat offered, âIâm doneâŚâ
She headed out of the room and Katie stood up to allow Pepper to sit down for the make-up artist in the seat next to where Wanda was sat having the finishing touches done to her face. She looked amazing, dark smoky eye-shadow set off her eyes and red locks perfectly.
Natasha arrived back with a huge bouquet of flowers, tied with a blue ribbon, which sat in a clear bag of water and a small Cartier bag.
âFor the brideâŚâ she said and Katie took the bouquet, smiling, not even needing to read the card to know who they were from.
âTheyâre from SteveâŚâ she smiled.
âHow do you know?â Laura frowned. âTheyâre the ones in my tattooâ she said as she placed them gently on the kitchen area of her Tower Apartment admitting the various lilies, daisies and greenery. âMy favourite flowers.â
She picked the card out of the bouquet, spotting Steveâs looping scrawl straight away.
I canât wait to make you Mrs Rogers baby doll.
âThatâs disgustingly cuteâŚâ Laura said, reading the card over her shoulder as she grinned at the simple yet meaningful message.
âSteve all over.â Katie smiled before she opened the bag. She pulled out a small box and opened it, her mouth falling open at the beautiful diamond studs inside. They were shaped like stars, subtle but still evident enough for everyone to notice.
âStar Spangled Man with a Plan.â Nat smirked and she turned to her grinning.
And suddenly the excitement washed over her. This was happening. Actually happening.
âShit!â she said, wheeling round as her stomach started to flip âOh my god ladiesâŚIâm getting married!â
**** Steve finished brushing off his shoes which were polished that much he could almost see his face in them. With a groan as the pain in his head had once again reared, damned that fucking Asgardian shit, he slipped them on and laced them up, he then turned his attention to his hair. Once he was happy with that it was time for his tie. He hadnât taken the decision to wear his army uniform lightly. It had been one he had agonised over for ages, but after Katie had told him it was entirely his choice but to stay true to who he was, heâd realised that before Captain America, heâd been Steve Rogers, and all he had ever wanted was to be in the army. So he was going to be Captain Rogers today, who he was. There was a knock on the bedroom door and Sam walked in, already in his uniform. Steve smiled at him in the mirror before expertly tying the double-windsor and turning round.
âGot the rings?â Sam asked. Steve nodded to the two boxes sat on the dresser. Picking them up Sam slid them into his breast pockets, fastening the buttons.
âNervous?â he asked and Steve smiled. Was he?
âKinda.â he shrugged âDonât wanna mess up my vows but Iâm not nervous about marrying her, nothing has ever felt more right.â
Sam smiled and swept the man up into a bro-hug, clapping his back. âTonyâs heading off to the tower now. Marquee is ready, waiters are here setting the tablesâŚitâs all going to plan.â âMaybe once it might stay that way.â Steve said and Sam chuckled.
âHowâs the head?â he asked.
Steve let out a sigh âPoundingâŚas best man Iâm holding you totally responsible.â
Sam shrugged âWouldnât be the worst thing Iâve been blamed for.â
Steve snorted.
âYou know what you need?â Sam looked at him said âA leveller.â âA what?â Steve asked
âAnother drink, hair of the dog that bit you and all thatâŚâ
At the thought of another drink Steveâs stomach lurched and he shook his head.
âTrust me.â Sam said, as he left the bedroom âIt never fails. How do you think Iâve just cured mine?â Steve followed him into the living room. A photographer was there taking snaps and Thor was loudly asking what he was doing and why until Sam explained Clint was already in his suit and Thor was in his Asgardian dress, but this was different. Instead of the silver and red Steve was used to seeing him in his robes were a glittering white lined with gold piping, his cape was deep blue and his hair was well groomed.
âWow Thor.â Steve said.
âTraditional Asgardian formal dress.â he said âLittle Starkâs request, which reminds meâŚâ he jerked his head signalling for the Captain to follow him. Frowning slightly he did and the men stepped outside.
âLittle Stark is very dear to me.â he began. âBut she is your intended I thought it only right to ask your permission to give something to her.â
âOkâŚâ Steve said puzzled.
âI have a headdress.â Thor said, âIt belonged to my mother and has been passed down the line for years. I would very much like to offer it to her to wear today.â Steve smiled, the manâs care for his girl was genuinely something he liked. He was a good man to have onside, and his intentions were always honourable. âSheâll love that.â He said, nodding. Thor shook his hand and held out his hand, Steve just getting out of the way before Mjolnir flew into it. With a nod to the Captain and a promise to be back shortly he went.
All 4 of them looked amazing.
Katie told them so, beaming, and then Pepper informed her it was time to get into her dress. In a daze Katie stepped into it, Pepperâs fingers deftly doing up the buttons, before she smoothed down and fluffed out the skirt. Katie stepped into her heels, took a glance in the mirror and felt the tears prick her eyes.
âDonâtâŚâ Pepper instructed, handing her a tissue from a box on the side, one which she had clearly bought, prepared to the very end âYouâll set me offâŚand thereâs gonna be enough of that when Tony sees you.â âWhere is he?â Katie asked, tissue gently dabbing at her eyes.
âJust getting into his suitâ Pepper said. âHe wonât be long. Ready?â
She nodded and the 2 of them made their way out of the bedroom and into the hall, the photographer that had been taking photos all morning was waiting, snapping away, capturing she hoped the look on the girls faces as for the first time ever she saw Natashaâs eyes watering over.
âShit NovaâŚâ she said, her hand flying to her mouth. âWowâŚâ Katie grinned at her, and was about to answer when the elevator door slid open.
"I'm looking for the one wearing white." A familiar voice teased as Tony stepped into the apartment, making her turn to face him. He stopped dead, his eyes widening.
âOh Kiddo, you look incredible." he said, swallowing slightly.
âThank you, so do you." she said, gesturing to the charcoal suit and light blue Stock Tie he was wearing. Tony took a glass of champagne that Pepper handed to him but before he could say anything else someone else stepped into the apartment. A tall, large blonde God dressed in gold and white Asgardian armour beamed at her.
âThor!â Katie almost shrieked, as he strode across the room to wrap his arms around me.
âLittle StarkâŚyou look beautiful.â He smiled down at her, âI cannot stop long I just wanted to give you something.â
She frowned as he held up his hammer and with a flash she felt something land on her head. She reached up gently and felt the outline of a tiara perched on her hair.
âWhatâŚâ âIt was my mothers.â he said gently âI do not have a sister, you are the closest thing to it and Iâd be honoured if you would wear itâŚâ Katie was speechless as she crossed to the mirror. Made of a silvery metal, it consisted of intricate lines and reminded her somewhat of how the lost Diadem of Ravenclaw had looked in the Harry Potter film. It shimmered in the light and was adored with what looked like diamonds, a larger deep red stone in the centre and she could just make out the small ancient Asgardian runes
âThorâŚIâŚâ she turned to him, unable to speak. âI told your Captain of my intention.â he beamed. âHe thought you would appreciate it. The runes are an ancient Asgardian blessing, they wish the bearer happiness and safetyâ âItâs beautiful, thank youâŚâ her voice cracked.
He swept her up in another hug and nodded. âI must go now, back to the compound. Barton and Birdman and doing one final sweep of the grounds. I said I would help before we meet at the church.â
A final squeeze and nod and he left the room, and minute later she heard the tell-tale whoosh as he summoned the bi-frost.
âI really hope he was on the jet padâŚâ Tony grumbled. âThose damned marks are impossible to shift.â ***** Against his better judgment Steve had a âlevellerâ- another shot of that lethal liquor, and to his surprise it had actually gone someway to sorting his head out. Either that or his metabolism was finally working it out of his system. But now he had another issueâŚ
âWhere the hell is it?â he was getting flustered now. How the HELL had he misplaced his suit belt? Heâd had it last night, he knew he had.
âItâll be here somewhere.â Sam said. After a frantic search which left the apartment almost upside down, Clint located it down the back of the sofa.
âWhat was it doing there?â Steve frowned.
âStark was wearing it as a headdress last night.â Thor supplied âYou were wearing a tie, Birdman was wearing a pair of Little Starkâs tights and Barton was using a tie from a robe. You were, I believe Stark said the term was rocking out to some form of music. Do you not remember?â
âNo.â Steve mumbled, sliding it on and clipping it round his waist. He walked to the long mirror in the hall and looked at his reflection. Being dressed in this jerked back a lot of memories of his time with the Howlies, Bucky and PeggyâŚ
âJust go talk to her.â Bucky said, leaning against the bar as Steveâs eyes roved up and down Peggy as she stood at the bar in the pub in London talking to Howard Stark.
âI talk to her all the time.â Steve looked at his friend.
âGod youâre a dumbass.â Bucky shook his head âI donât mean just talk I mean, you know...talk, ask her out.â
Peggy looked up, caught his eye and he found himself blushing before turning back to his drink. It really wasnât appropriate, maybe if it was a different time...
âCaptain America and still a pussy when it comes to women.â Bucky snorted, clocking the look on his friendâs face âGlad to see not everything about you has changed.â
Everything had changed now though. And it was funny how things had worked out in the end. But as he knew, and had told Katie, he wouldnât change a damned second.
âCaptain RogersâŚâ Friday spoke. âYour cars are arriving.â
He took a deep breath and smiled at Sam who walked towards him, clapping him on the shoulder. âYou alright?â
Steve nodded, suddenly his stomach was doing flips and this was nothing to do with the alcohol. âLetâs go.â
****
"The cars are hereâŚâ Pepper said, walking into the room with the box that contained the flowers. She handed Katie her bouquet, a simple bunch of Cala Lilies tied with pale blue, gold and red ribbons. She set about pinning one of the button holes to Tonyâs lapel before she smoothed his shirt down and pecked him on the cheek.
âOkâŚâ she stood back. âNat, Wanda, Laura and me are gonna go ahead now⌠â she said, âYou follow on in about 15 or so, give us enough time to hand these out and sort the boys into the right placesâŚâ
Katie smiled at her and she looked at the woman she had long since come to regard as a younger sister. âYou really do look stunning!â
âThanks Pep.â She kissed Tony again before she bustled the other three women out.
"You know," Tony said gently when the door closed behind them, "I always thought when you were a kid that youâd look ridiculous in a wedding dressâŚ.but, well, I was wrong, yeah it happens occasionally.â his face softened as he looked at his sister âYou turned into a beautiful woman. Mom and dad would be proud, just as I am."
âTheyâd be proud of you tooâŚâ Katie said, the tears springing into her eyes âYou know that right?â
"Yeah, yeah, anywayâŚ" He said pulling back and sniffing slightly, before he ran his fingers underneath his eyes. "I have something for you," he said reaching into his suit jacket and withdrawing a slim box.
Katie took it from him, her hands shaking slightly as she opened it. Inside was a stunning white gold necklace. It sported 5 teardrop shaped loops, each set with diamonds, the middle of the loops holding sapphires.
âIt was momâsâ Tony said, as she ran her fingers over the stones âIâve been saving it for you and figured that thisâŚâ his voice cracked âWas the perfect opportunity to give it to you.â âTonyâŚâ she said, the tears forming in her eyes again âItâs stunning.â
He took the box from his sister and gently removed the necklace and she turned round so he could fasten it round her neck.
âSo thatâs your something blueâŚâ he said as she turned round, and let out a watery laugh.
âMy garterâs blueâŚâ âDonât wanna knowâŚâ he snorted.
Katie giggled and gently wiped at her eyes âif youâve ruined my make-upâŚâ she headed to the full length mirror in the hallway and leaned forward.
âI think youâre goodâŚâ he smiled at her in the mirror.
âFake eyelashes, no mascara, no smudgesâŚâshe said, dabbing at her eyes before satisfying herself that all the make-up artistâs work was still intact.
âSo, we got time for one last drink before you become a Rogers?â he asked, walking over to the liquor cabinet and reaching for 2 crystal tumblers.
âYou know itsâ only in nameâŚâ she said as he poured a few fingers worth of scotch into each glass.
âStill gonna be odd calling you by it.â he handed her one and she smiled. âBut either wayâŚyouâll always be my little Kiddo, you know that?â
His voice cracked slightly and she looked at him, the tears once more sprang into her eyes.
âYeahâŚâ she said, chinking her glass against his âI do ToneâŚâ *****
Steve strode across from the car, Sam following and the pair of them began to greet the guests. Steve was starting to feel nervous now, despite what he had told Sam before. He wasnât nervous about marrying his girl, but the butterflies in his stomach were definitely fluttering. He shook hands with Evans and Dawson, both of them giving him friendly slaps on the back, welcomed a load of other people heâd seen in Katieâs office before, but his mind wasnât there. He was mulling over his declaration, and his eyes which were hidden behind his aviators constantly roved the area in front of the church.
And then Sam slapped him on his shoulder.
âWhat?â Steve asked, turning to face him.Â
âBridesmaids are here Cap.â he smiled, and Steve turned to see the sleek, black Jaguar pull up. The driver got out and opened the back door to allow Natasha to climb out first, then Pepper followed, Wanda and Laura Barton getting out of the other side. Laura beelined for Clint who dropped a kiss to her cheek whilst Pepper, Nat and Wanda made their way over.
âYou look great.â Steve smiled as he dropped a kiss to Pepperâs cheek, then Natashaâs then Wanda. âHowâs Katie?â
âNervous as hell.â Nat drawled, smoothing down her skirt before she looked up at Steve grinning. âNice touch on the flowers and the earrings by the way, you almost set her off.â
 âBut sheâs ok?â
âIf youâre asking whether sheâs having second thoughts, not a chance.â Pepper touched his arm. Steve took a deep breath and then turned to the Priest who had joined them.
âSheâs about 10 minutes or so behind.â Pepper smiled, âSo I suggest you lot get to where you should be.â
âRight, yeah...â Steve took a deep breath, âOk...â
He turned to head into the church and Sam looked at Natasha. âOn a scale of 1 to 10 how dead is she gonna knock him?â
â11.â Nat grinned.
Sam let out a laugh before he yelled to the other groomsmen, and began his duty organising people into the church to the right seats.
**** Katie had a tight hold of Tonyâs hand all the drive into Brooklyn. They made easy talk, the pair of them laughing in the back of the car but as they rounded the corner to the street where the church was Katie suddenly fell silent.
âYou ok?â Tony looked at her. Katie nodded.Â
âA bit nervous. Not about marrying Steve but...â she trailed off âIt feels strange, being happy...after everything that weâve been through.â
âYou deserve it.â Tony pressed a kiss to her temple âNow push that thought out of your mind ok? Today is about you...and Steveâ he said as an afterthought.
Katie laughed as the car pulled to a stop and the driver hopped out. Tony got out of his side and rounded the car to offer Katie his arm. She tucked her hand into the crook of his elbow, her bouquet clutched in the other and together they made their way up to the entrance where Pepper and Natasha were waiting. The photographer got a few snaps before he nodded and said he would see them inside, before he headed in.Â
The Priest smiled and ran through the usual questions which Katie answered and he smiled, clapping his hands together.
âOk, well, letâs get you married.â he grinned, heading back inside, leaving them stood in the vestibule area.Â
Katie took a deep breath and Natasha and Pepper took their places.
"You ready?" Tony questioned, placing his hand over Katieâs as the opening chords to Eva Cassidyâs âSomewhere Over the Rainbowâ started up.
"I've never been more ready for anything in my entire life." she said squeezing his arm when her knees threatened to wobble as the doors opened.
All heads turned in their direction as Pepper and Natasha made their way down the aisle and Katieâs legs suddenly felt like jello.
"Don't let me fall." she whispered as she gripped her big brotherâs arm even tighter.Â
Tony smiled and turned his head enough to press an affectionate kiss to the side of her head, "Never." He whispered back with a smile.
As they made their way down the aisle, Katie wanted to take a look around the full church but she couldnât. She couldnât take her eyes off her soldier at the front. It wasn't just the fact that he looked especially handsome in his 40s dress uniform that made Katieâs knees tremble, neither was it his, as usual, clear shaven face or his perfectly styled hair. It was his eyes, and the smile on his face that lit up the moment he saw her...
Holy shit.â Steve managed to mumble, his mouth dropping open, and Sam clapped him between the shoulder blades.
âYouâre a lucky man.â he said, and Steve couldnât bring himself to reply. Instead he stood, gawping like an idiot as she glided towards him. Steve took a deep shuddering breath and smiled at her, the smile not leaving his face all the time she made her way towards him.Â
After what felt like an age, his nearly wife reached his side and stood in front of him.
âHi.â she managed to whisper, and he shook his head, blinking back his tears as he let out a deep breath.
âYou look astonishingly beautifulâŚâ his voice trembled as his eyes bored into hers and she felt herself flush, the grin still plastered to her face.
âWhy thanksâŚâ Tony said, and the pair of them looked at him, Steve letting out a simple snort as Katie shook her head, a small laugh escaping her mouth as she handed her bouquet over to Natasha.
"Dearly beloved," the Priest opened âWe are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Steve and KatieâŚâ he continued with the usual greetings and then it was time to get down to business.
"Who here gives this bride away?" he questioned.
"Oh, right, that would be err, me." Tony said, stepping forward and gently turning her left hand into Steveâs right. The two men shared a meaningful look that could only be described as pure respect before Tony stepped back, taking his seat next to Pepper, blinking away his tears as she gripped his hands.
âYou have prepared your own declarations before the vows?â They nodded.
âLadies first.â he smiled at Katie and she took a deep breath, turning to face Steve clearing her throat.
"You know, if someone had told me that the man I met for the first time in that small boxing gym down town would be the man I would fall in love with and one day marry I would have told them they were being ridiculous.â she smiled and Steve squeezed her hands âStevie, I've watched you grow and thrive in a world that you thought you didn't belong in but you never let it break you. You have no idea how strong you are and how strong you make meâŚâ she hadnât realised sheâd started crying until he released one of her hands to wipe her cheek, his own eyes shining as he felt like his heart was going to burst through his chest "When I think back on how much weâve been through over the past few years, it never fails to amaze me how you carried not just me through it but everyone around you too. Youâre the most honourable, beautiful man I know, and thatâs nothing to do with any serum, itâs who you are. You're my best friend. My lover. My everything. And I'll always love you Steven Grant Rogers...â
"Wow," the minister said clearing his throat, "Captain? Think you could top that?"
"I'll try my best." He choked out making laughter ripple through the crowd along with a few sniffles, before he took a deep breath. "Katie, when I went into the ice, I thought I knew what love was, I thought that I was in love before and that I wouldn't ever feel like that again. And then you walked into my life and not only did I get to know you, I fell head over heels in love with you and you made me understand that a first love and a true love are two Stark-ly different things.â
Katie smiled, and there were a few titters at the pun he had used. He took another shaky breath and continued. âEvery second I spend with you is unlike anything I've ever felt before. Everything Iâve been through Iâd do it a thousand times over if it meant I'd find my way back to you. You're my world, my home, and for that I will always, always love and cherish you."
"Alright everyone wipe your eyes," The priest spoke to the room as Katie reached up to wipe a tear away from Steveâs eye this time, blinking back her own. A few chuckles rang round the church before he addressed her and Steve again.
âReady for the serious business?â
They both nodded. And one by one they made their vows, promises to love, honour, cherish and forsake all others for richer, for poorer and in sickness and in health being uttered as their eyes intently bored into each other, driving the words home into each of their souls. The words werenât lost on either of them, theyâd been through all of it and so much more already.
âDo you have the rings?â The minister asked. Sam stepped forward and gave Katie Steveâs.
Katie did as she was told, placed the ring at the end of Steveâs finger and repeated the vows they had chosen.
"I give you this ring as a token of my love for you. I give it with my loving heart, with my willing body and with my eternal soulâ Â When concluded she slid the platinum band, which held 3 simple diamonds at the front in vertical line onto Steve's previously bare ring finger. He took a deep breath then exhaled.
Then it was his turn, he rolled the ring in his fingers before looking up and locking gazes with Katie as he repeated after the minister, finally sliding her diamond studded band over her knuckle, his thumb sliding over the top of it. She looked at it for a second, before looking back at him, smiling.
"By the power vested in me by the Church and the State of New York⌠in the presence of GodâŚI mean Gods," he politely corrected himself, looking at Thor and the bride and groom laughed along with the rest of the Church as Thor raised a hand, grinning. ", I know pronounce you Husband and Wife. Captain," he patted Steve on the shoulder, "You may now kiss your bride."
Oh, heâd wanted to do that the minute she had walked into the Church! With a smile he closed the small distance between them and took her face in both his hands, as hers slid up to his chest and he pressed a soft, sweet and perfect kiss to her lips.
There was loud cheering and clapping as they pulled back and Katie had just enough time to register the cheeky wink he flashed her before his hands pulled her back to him and this time he really kissed her, in a way that was totally not appropriate for a church but neither of them cared as his tongue slid along hers. Through the blood rushing in their ears they could just make out the sound of more cheering and a couple of wolf whistles. They broke apart and for a long moment just smiled stupidly at one another until Steve reluctantly released her so he could take her hand and turn to face their guests.
âLadies, gentlemen⌠please be upstanding for your bride and groom!â The minister spoke âThe new Mr and Mrs Rogers!â
Their exit song âSigned, Sealed, Deliveredâ by Stevie Wonder struck up and for the first time Katie got to glance at everyone in the room. She smiled at so many people, when a squeeze to her hand from Steve brought her back and he beamed at her.
âShall we?â he asked.
âLead the way!â she grinned.
He pressed another soft kiss to her lips before they set off down the aisle. As they reached the end he bent to pick up something, and Katie noticed his shield was by the doors.
âSeriously?â she looked at him, arching an eyebrow.
âTrust me dollâŚâ he muttered âbecause I donât trust that lot one bitâŚâ
The chauffeur opened the door to the Jaguar SUV and Steve helped Katie in.
âI love you Mrs RogersâŚâ he grinned as they settled in the back of the car.
âI love you too!â Katie beamed âAnd thank you for the flowers and the earrings. Youâre a romantic idiot you know that?â
âIâm your romantic idiotâŚâ he leaned in, his nose rubbing against hers.
âAlways.â she muttered as her lips met his.
*****.
As the group filed out of the church, no one noticed the man staying close to the shadows across the road. But then they wouldnât, as it's a good hiding place, he knew this neighbourhood like the back of his hand after all, and he should do too given the amount of times he and that scrawny little blonde haired punk used to tread the sidewalks getting up to mischief. Full of dirt and leaves from scaling trees they would head back to Steveâs house for his Ma to patch them up, normally getting a clout upside the head (fondly, he recalls, never meant to hurt) strong, Irish brogue from such a slight woman "You two young hooleys are going to be the death of me, so you are!" whilst wiping their various bruises and feeding them large pieces of whatever she's managed to bake from that weekâs meagre supplies. Now that small, sickly kid was a strapping 6ft plus mass of muscle, his outward appearance now reflected the brave Captain he had always been, stood in his old army dress uniform, his stunning wife a vision in ivory, and he was pleased to see, looking a lot healthier than she had when he had carried her out of that outpost in Canada. He watched as Steve raised his shield above his bride's head to shelter her as their group of friends pelt them with rice, planting a kiss to her lips as various cheers and whoops hit his ears, and then they hurried to the waiting car. As it pulled away the last he saw of Steve was him leaning across the to place a kiss on his girl's, no, his wife's lips who's pretty face looked like it might split in half from her smiling so much. "Good for you, punk." He muttered and smiling to himself, he pulled his cap further down over his face and tucked his hands into his pockets. Yes, he had taken a huge risk coming here but he couldn't not see his Childhood best friend on his wedding day... even if his best friend hadn't seen him.Â
With more of a spring in his step than he remembers having since before the war, he headed back to where he has hidden the stolen motorcycle ready to trek back north where he could catch a flight to Europe and slink back into the shadows once more.
****
The sunny August afternoon passed in a daze of champagne, photos and food. The head table was situated in the middle of the marquee, occupied by Katie, Steve, Sam, Pepper, Tony and Natasha. The rest of the guests were seated at circular tables dotted around, Katie and Pepper having carefully plotted places. Of course the Avengers had their own table, which was rowdy, Thorâs loud voice booming across the Tent as he sat with Jane, who was chatting away to Linda Barton. Vision was perched next to Wanda, conspicuous as always, whilst Banner was talking to Clint.Â
âYou ok?â Steve asked, his right hand dropping to Kateâs knee under the table and she turned to him smiling.
âYeah, yeah Iâm good. You?â
âNever been happier Doll.â he smiled, dropping a kiss to her lips.
When the desert had been eaten, glasses were charged and it was time for the speeches.Â
It was Tonyâs turn first and as he stood up, both hands raised in his usual flamboyant manner, Katie let out a soft groan as she knew she was about to get a ribbing. He started off fairly mildly, toasting the bridesmaids cheekily quipping he was going to take one home.Â
âWhich one?â quipped Clint, earning him a slap round the head from Laura whilst the tent laughed.Â
Tony paused before he dropped a hand to Pepperâs shoulder where she sat to his right and grinned âWell thereâs a fifty-fifty chance itâll be the one Iâm in a relationship with. And on that note, Iâd like to raise a toast to the beautiful bridesmaids...â
The tent laughed, and all raised their glasses, before a wicked glint flashed in Tonyâs eyes and he turned to his left, looking at Katie where she sat at the head of the table.
âKiddoâŚâ he smirked âI donât know where to start.â
âThen donâtâ she said, earning more laughs. âOh Iâm gonnaâŚâ he winked âFor the last 31 years youâve been a monumental pain in my ass. From fighting monsters under your bed with the vaccum cleaner to your Vegan Goth phase and that damned Turkey that you insisted we keepâŚbut there isnât a day that Iâd change any of it.
When I first met him, thought he was an ass hole. Now I know him, think heâs slightly less of an asshole.â
Steve rolled his eyes, âThanks Tony.â he quipped as the he guests laughed. But as his brother-in-law locked eyes with him, the two of them smiled.
âHow I found out about you two was less than desirableâŚâ he said and they both let out a groan âFor those of you that donât know I walked in on them, in the kitchen, and interrupted somethingâŚâ more laughs as Katie and Steve groaned âAnd I wonât lie, I wasnât overly enamoured about the idea but you fast proved me wrong and, well, here we are. Iâm glad she has someone like you to look after her, care for her and cherish her but just so you knowâŚâ he raised his two fingers to his eyes and then moved them towards Steve, the same Iâm watching you gesture as he had given him on his doorstep over 2 years ago. Steve snorted into his glass which was once more full of Asgardian ale and Katie simply shook her head.
âIn all seriousness, Cap and I had a nice long talk last night about what it means to be a family. To love and be loved. To feel like you do and will forever belong with a certain person. And he told me thatâs what he felt about Katie. That he does and will forever belong with her.â Â Tony turned to look at them both âAnd I know I speak for everyone here when I say, we are so lucky â and happy â that youâre part of this weird-ass family. I feel lucky to be part of this family. Even with Rhodey here."
Rhodey flipped him off from where he sat across the Marquee and the guests laughed once more
âSo if youâll please all raise your glasses...â Tony said, as everyone stood round the marquee, glasses raised âSteve and Katie, Cap and Kiddo, and friends, family, be they with us or not.â
The murmurs of the echoed toast around the tent died down being replaced by cheers as Tony took a short bow, before he rounded the table and Katie stood up to hug him kissing his cheek.Â
âLove you.â she grinned, and Tony beamed back at her before he returned to his seat.Â
At that point Steve stood up to a load of cheers and he held his hand up.
âYeah, not sure how I can follow that.â he smiled, âThanks for those kind words Tony.â he cleared his throat âYou know, looking around the place, seeing everyone here to help us celebrate has brought it home to me how lucky I actually am. When I came out of the ice, I thought Iâd lost everything, my entire life, everyone I knew. But I fast came to realise that whilst that may have been true once what Iâve gained since is irreplaceable.â he glanced down at Katie âWhen Katie walked into that gym which was only a few blocks away from where we got married today, we shared a 15 minute conversation. By the end of those 15 minutes Iâd already realised how sassy, sarcastic and loyal she was, and dare I say it, damned gorgeous tooâ
Katie shook her head as titters rose around the tent.
âBut then I got to know her, she became my best friend, still is, and frankly now I think sheâs the most amazing human being on the planet. I could continue to wax lyrical about you Doll, but I wonât. I said everything I had to say to you in the church, but there is one thing I wanted to add. You said that I make you strong, but itâs really you who does that to me. Iâm only strong because youâre by my side. You make me want to be a better person and I donât think Iâll ever get tired of waking up in the morning by your side, simply being able to call you mine.â he took a deep breath, blinking back the tears that were threatening to fall as he looked down at the table, then back to her. âFrom that first date I knew we had something special and everything weâve been through in the past 2 and a bit years, weâve made it through because weâve been together. So if I could ask you all to raise your glasses in the direction of my gorgeous, amazing wifeâŚman Iâll never get tired of saying thatâŚâ he grinned and Katie laughed, wiping her eyes âMrs RogersâŚâ
He sat down and Katie leaned over to give him a soft kiss. âI love youâ she smiled, her hand gently tracing down his cheek.
âLove you too.â he said, kissing her deeply to more cheers and Steve grinned against her mouth, his cheeks flushing slightly as he pressed his forehead to hers.
And then Sam got up.
âYeah, saved the best till last I know.â Sam said as everyone giggled âIâll keep mine short and sweet as we all know thereâs a party to get started. I first met Cap when he was running. I say running, well, more like tearing up the ground. Kept lapping me like a crazy mother, nearly killed me trying to keep up.â he grinned and Katie and Steve both laughed âI havenât known him for very long all things considered, so being asked to be best man was a privilege, so thank you brother. It means a lot.â he nodded to Steve who raised his beer in his direction. âNow, being friends with Captain America is probably the same as what being friends with Steve Rogers is like, from what I can gather. Heâs a great guy, with a fully functioning moral compass...only thereâs the added complication that youâll have a building dropped on your head, get shot at and generally be whipped into a whole heap of trouble...and that was only within the first 3 weâd met.â Sam quipped as the tend laughed and Steve shook his head. âBut the thing is, when Captain America knocks on your door and needs your help, you gotta follow, even if it means your life expectancy is probably gonna halve.  Mind you, my chances of getting laid have more than doubled so I think they cancel one another outâ At that Steve groaned and dropped his head into his hands as the tent erupted into laughter. âBut in all my life Iâve never met two people more suited for each other. Youâre like jelly and doughnuts, mac and cheese, Simon and Garfunkel, canât have one without the otherâ he smirked âSo, without further ado, charge your glasses one final timeâŚto the new Mr and Mrs RogersâŚ.now, letâs get this party started!â
****
A few hours later as the sun was dipping behind the trees and several bottles of champagne, Asgardian beer and a fair few measures of whiskey had been drunk, Tonyâs voice rang out over the speakers.
"Now ladies and Gents, and ThorâŚ"
Katie and Steve, who were stood talking to Clint and Laura at the bar, both looked over to see him holding a microphone as he stood next to the DJ, smiling, "Itâs my great honour to announce it is time for the first dance. Kiddo, Cap, the floor is yoursâŚâ
Steve held his hand out to Katie and she took it, and he led her into the middle of the lit up dance floor, gently pulling her into his arms.
Iâve been searching all my life I used to be so color blind You opened up my eyes Do you wanna share your dreams See a different side of me You're everything I need He pulled her closer, his hand curling round the small of her back, his other tightly clasped around hers as they gently swayed to the music, foreheads pressed together, smiles stuck firmly to their faces.
Katie smiled as he pulled her back to him, his face beaming and as was tradition they were joined on the floor by a few other couples, Tony and Pepper, Clint and Laura, Thor and Jane amongst them. Wanda and Natasha were dancing together too, in a joking, friendly way, which made Katieâs smile grow even larger.
You know how to set that mood You can light up any room Just by the way you move The only one who understands What I've given you you've given back Come on and take my hand
The music continued and as the chorus struck up again he span her out once more, making her laugh and this time he pulled her back in so her back pressed against his chest. Wrapping both arms tightly around her middle he pressed a soft kiss to her neck. Katie laughed, her hands coming to rest over his own, thumb stroking the new addition to his ring finger.
You turned an old world upside down A wave of calm when I was so tightly wound And so full of doubt I'll never tell you that two's a crowd I know I can't get through without Ever needing you around
Steve knew everyone was watching, probably taking pictures or video along with the official photographer, but he didnât care. Extending his arm above her head, he took hers with him and gently spun her to face him. His right hand slid up to cup her face and as he leaned close to capture her lips. Katieâs hand slid up to tangle in the back of his hair before she pulled away slowly and he lets out a soft moan as his forehead dropped to hers.
"Mrs Rogers.." he whispered in her ear.
âYeah?â âNothing, I just wanted to say it.â
*******
"Garter off. No hands Rogers!â Nat yelled over the music as Katie sat in a chair on the dance floor âThat's the rules."
âWell we all know Iâm a stickler for rules.â he grinned, discarding his jacket and tie to a few whoops and a loud whistle from his bride, he tossed them over a chair as the men in the party gathered around, the women standing a bit behind, Pepper explaining what was going onto Wanda.
Katie giggled and covered her face with her hands whilst the outline of Steve's broad shoulders could just be made out moving up her legs. But only she could feel his breath on her thighs. He grinned and pressed a soft but hot kiss to the very top of her thigh and it took everything in her not to jump or show any outward indication of his actions, but she did bite her lip when his teeth dragged down her thigh until he caught the lace of the blue garter that he himself had given to her the day before, then dragged it down her leg.
There were more whistles and cheers when he emerged from beneath her skirt with the garter in his mouth before he took it in his hands, stood up and fired it towards the men. Sam was the catcher, hastily dropping it from one hand to the other until he finally caught it, and looked around, winking at Natasha.
âWhat about it Red?â he grinned at her âFancy a bit of Sammy-lovinâ?â
âIn your dreams birdbrainâ she drawled, as everyone cackled.
**** All too soon their day came to an end, but Steve had one final surprise for Katie. She had been fully expecting to go back to their room at the compound but Steve simply shook his head and led her out of the Marquee and over to a waiting car which was parked on the expansive gravel driveway.
âWe are not spending our wedding night at home Kitten.â he said simply when she asked where they were going.
Between the alcohol and being drunk on happiness, they were tripping over each other by the time they made it to the bridal suite at The Mark having been greeted by a red carpet and applause of the staff upon arrival. Steve opened the door into the huge room, and the pair of them stumbled forward. Laughing, Steve curled an arm round her.
âHang on⌠â he said, before he bent down and scooped her up, carrying her into the room and she giggled as he stepped forward, kicking the door shut behind them before dropping her to her feet. She spun round and grabbed a fist full of shirt, just below his open collar button, bringing him down to kiss her, hard as they backed across the suite into the bedroom where Steve spun her round and carefully, delicately popped the buttons down her back. He leaned in and pressed soft kisses to the crook of her neck, nuzzling into her hair, as she reached up to remove the various clips, freeing her brunette tresses.
âGod youâre beautiful.â he said, as the dress fell away, leaving her in nothing but a pair of white, lace French knickers. She spun to face him, eyes shining as she started to undo his shirt.
"You're not so bad yourself," she said with a smirk as her hands gently undid the buttons on his shirt, her eyes never leaving his.
Her first orgasm hit her hard in an ridiculously short time and leaving her breathless he kissed all the way back up her body before he settled his hips against hers, he was rock hard and aching for her, and she shivered as he pressed up against where she needed him most.
He took her left hand in his, his thumb skating over her rings and placed a soft kiss over them before interlocking their fingers and pressing her hand down on the pillow next to her head.
"I love you so much Mrs Rogers," he mumbled leaning down and running his nose alongside hers.
"I love you too Captain Rogers." she responded holding eye contact with him as he slowly slid inside, letting out a moan as she lay back and he kissed her again, deeply, passionately as he slowly started to move. Katie rolled her hips up taking him deeper, moans flowing freely between the pair as he slowly built up his rhythm, releasing her hand so that he could grasp onto her hips. Katieâs arms wrapped around his shoulders pulling him in close and she buried her fingers into his hair.
"Faster," she moaned, wrenching her mouth from his so she could breath and he didn't hesitate to oblige. After a few more thrusts he slid his hand under her lower back and lifted her slightly, face buried in her neck, nipping, making her gasp and shudder as he hit her spot. He met it with every thrust of his hips until she was moaning and writhing and muttering nonsense.
Whether it was the passion of the day or the fact that it was just different because they were now married, for Steve it felt the most intense love they had ever made. It was the perfect way to finish off an amazing day and when they both fell apart completely immersed in one another, cries of names and curses tumbling from lips, Katie happily welcomed his weight on top of her as he caught his breath whilst she peppered soft kisses against his sweaty forehead before their noses gently rubbed against one another, their thing. Both of them remained trembling in the afterglow and it took a while but finally Steve gathered enough strength to roll himself to the side where Katie immediately curled up into his chest.
âWas it everything you hoped for?â he asked, and she hummed blissfully as he carded his fingers through her hair
"And more.â she whispered softly â.And the best bit?â âWhat?â She moved so she could look up at him, her face soft as she gave him the most intimate and incredible smile he had ever seen on her face as she answered âWe have the rest of our lives ahead.â
