hello I have a dissasociative disorder and have been in a dissasociative state for 4? ish years at this point so here are my headcannons enjoy

mephone ii: it's a subconscious coping mechanism. especially when around or thinking of cobs. when that guy is mentioned it feels like he's being punched out of his body. in the final shot of ii 17 he just mentally clocked out when taking cobs hand. the whole thing with him literally removing his memories is actually so real and it mirrors a lot of actual experiences with disassociation and suppressing memory

Liam hfjone: this man can fit so much disassociation In him. especially after the ending. nothing feels real to him anymore. he is so incredibly out of it 24/7. it's the only way he can really keep himself from having a panic attack about his situation every few minutes.

airy hfjone: this man has not felt like a living being in decades this isn't even a question I am saying this is Canon I'm literally cheesyhfj

bryce hfjone: he's dealt with derealization for a while. it's not constant, but it happens when his mood is notably low.

tophat tnm: only actually began experiencing it after GPS died. After episode 4 he begins healing and it slowly leaves with time

also I can't forget our questionable rep DID warriors yinyang and paper. I do feel it's kind of stupid to treat paper's writing as if it was ever supposed to be rep in the first place, as evil paper was quite literally written by a child (most likely Adam had seen horror movies where a character has an evil jekyll-and-hyde type persona and tried to replicate that with paper) yinyang is one I don't have many opinions on personally. I don't think I have too much area to speak on this honestly since I don't have straight up DID, but I think it's awesome how paper has been reclaimed by those who do have DID

(hello! this au takes place after ii18 and the hotel is rebuilt (which I may explain later). in this au Oj decides he's responsible for everyone's safety and starts taking precautions that are a bit overboard. but, until fear dies down, there's a lot more rules in place. a bunch of former contestants are labeled as hazards that are potentially risky for the more "fragile" contestants. more info will come later.

Oj won't admit it, but anger management was only made for Paintbrush, despite its later popularity. Their anger issues are the only reason they're a fire hazard after all, so this was the solution to reduce the chances of them getting angry. Whether it's working or not is debatable.

*Candle, upon being classified as a fire hazard, was put in AM alongside Paintbrush. Though she quickly proved to be better as a teacher, replacing Goo, whose analogies weren't exactly helping anyone calm down.

Silver Spoon was not labeled as a hazard yet started attending classes after a few petty arguments. Though he was initially reluctant, he seemed not to complain after finding out Candle was leading it.

YinYang's behavior, though improved, has landed them both in trouble occasionally. AM was more so a suggestion.

There are more attendees, but they either aren't regulars or don't have a good enough reason to be listed

Lifering's "Life Guard" program:

Lifering volunteered to help prevent any accidents when there was no other reasonable solution. This includes sticking closer to "hazardous" objects. He's been spending the majority of time just being in the same room as Candle. Besides that, Lifering has generally been available immediately in case of emergency. (But then again, when was he not?"

Anti-Mold:

Food objects are susceptible to molding, especially if they eat moldy food, so everyone has been asked to leave dates on anything in the fridge. They aren't sure what they'd do if someone did start molding, but it's better to prevent it all together.

Yinyang’s interesting, especially since they’re two in one! I haven’t interacted much with either of them on the show (Except Yang, but he both yelled at me and slapped me…) however, we’ve interacted a few times at the hotel. They’re pretty amusing, especially in their dynamic. You kinda know what to expect from them both despite the chaos, given their contrasting personalities, y’know?

I really like yinyang as a character, and truly don't understand the take of them being Bad DID Rep as a system myself. I remember especially in the early days of figuring it all out, we would all fight with eachother in very similar manners, and seeing that as a young teen growing up really did help all of us cope with the harsh reality that comes with this disorder. Invitational especially really tied up the loose ends as well, going from a suppressive host and angry persecutor to a gentle, supportive, and mindful host with a strong, but goofy protector that has a bit of trouble grasping his emotions really won my heart. I love yinyang, and I wish more people would give AE credit for how wonderful they were ♡

I am very demure and modest when it comes to anon messages 💅 One of the things I miss most about the cesspool of tumblr, is getting enough questions about my silly scoutspy characterizations to create, well, my own characters out of them! Anons that stroke my shaft are a great way to get me to churn my brain and make something creative like the 300 scsp doodles or 500 headcanon posts of 2018, as opposed to sending me something blunt like "draw linguini's feet".

Forbidden fourth wish: I wish that one day someone could find scans of that YinYang monster x Vincent Valentine FF7 doujinshi that was my favorite as a wee lad! It was called "Meteo Daiou" by New Technical Punk-FF (Isuzu Suzuki). The last evidence of its existence is on this archived Sodasexy page. My life is a repeating circle. Even the scanner says this is GROSS and put it in their squick section. But Maggie age 8 liked it a little too much! A good metal fountain pen! I've found a couple of brush pens I like. I guess it's time for me to get into stiffer tips.

Some drawing/writing ink! I like to try all sorts of new colors, especially for lineart and ink washes.

A shed or trailer to store our art.

A screen printing room and set-up that is safe from the weather and cats stepping everywhere.

A pigment printer so I can make even more vibrant stickers and art reproductions! I guess I've heard good things about Epson Ecotanks and the Canon Pixma Pro-200/300/400 lines.

An upgraded computer that can load 40 chunks in minecraft's view distance, and use big digital brushes without lagging.

I guess some big ol' terabytes of hard drives to archive my work.

I love the idea of some of the contestants becoming the family they never had for eachother.

You've mentioned Soap and Mic being like sisters once and honestly I can see that, some of their interactions feel very much like siblings like the picture and even her meeting Taco for the first time, speaking of Taco, her reaction to Tacomic would probably be somewhere between sibling teasing the other about their crush and 'out of all the women on this island she's the one you have a crush on?'

I see a few headcanons of her becoming an older sister figure to Tissues too but I see that dynamic becoming more caring older sister than her dynamic with Mic.

Tea Kettle is an obvious one because that's basically what she was made for in the first place she's willing to be a mother to anyone honestly.

I sort of see Lifering taking up a guardian role to some people not particularly parental but in the way if someone needs help (mainly medical) he'll be there for them.

I see quite a bit of SilverCandle art/fics have them as somewhat parental figures for YinYang and honestly I really like that, I'm not sure if they'd have this dynamic in canon but it's sweet all the same.

And obviously Bot being Fan and Test Tube's kid, the only way I can see this not happening is if Bot doesn't see them as parents because they didn't like being made as a replacement for not only Bow but Egg too but I like to think that they become a little family anyway Bot still has things to learn, about themself and other things and I like to think Fan and Test Tube would help them to be their own person after forcing them to be someone they're not at first.

I like to think Ballpoint also became a bit of a father figure to Mephone4 but nobody ever actually admits it I feel like this would stem from getting the approval from Ballpoint that he wanted from Cobs though.

That's pretty much all I have (excluding Cobs and 4 but that's not really family in the way the rest are also at this point Cobs is probably a decomposing possibly eaten corpse) but if you have any than it'd be nice to hear about them if you'd want to talk about them (:

I really love to see Soap and Mic as sisters!!! Not only because of their voice actors, though that is a part of it, but also for how they interact and help each other. Mic throws Soaps cleaning supplies into the river, a little sisterly tough love, yeah? And how Mic tells Soap about her experience with Taco, and Soap keeps that secret for her and supports her as she's healing!!! Truly the sisters of time.

Her and Tissues forming a bond is a sweet idea too!! I'm not sure I'd read them as family, but regardless they should interact, especially with Soap having improved a lot with her germaphobia and how the reveal changes the way they all look at Tissues, yeah?

Tea Kettle will absolutely be adopting every single one of them. No more to say for her she adopts everyone she is group Mom end of story. I think it would be funny if Nickel accidentally calls her Mom once, both for the voice actor joke (as you can see I love those) but also because he'd die inside and it would be funny.

Lifering would be a good guardian for everyone!! His medical knowledge is so, so very vital to everyone's survival. He would be oh so very appreciated by everyone.

I think Candle would definitely be a caring presence for Yin-Yang, but not Silver. Silver and Yin-Yang don't seem to get along like that, as is especially shown in Spring on the Breakfast, yeah? I don't see Yin-Yang feeling super positive on Silver for quite a bit after that. They do interact in the finale, though, so that's something at least.

It's implied that Bot sees Testy and Fan as their parents in the show anyways, there's that lively clip of Fanmily confirmation, and even if Bot has some complicated feeling towards them, that's not super uncommon in parent-child relationships, yeah? They both seem to have a lot of love for Bot, and each other, so I am fully on the fanmily train. I also enjoy thinking of Painty and Lightbulb as their auncle and aunt!!! :) Painty is so supportive of them, yeah? The three of them have that genderqueer solidarity (canonically. fanonically testy and fan can be whatever gender your heart desires.)

I see people liking to present Ballpoint as a father figure to Mephone, though I can't say I see it as much as some people based on their canon interactions. This goes more into what Ballpoint represents about Cobs, but I'm sure there's a level of parental approval that Mephone wants from Ballpoint, but this seems to me to be due to how he made Ballpoint rather than an actual bond the two share.

As for familial bonds I see! I can't say I have a ton, since I'm not super close with my family, so I tend to prefer friendships!!! But I'll offer up these two :)

Blueberry and Trophy would be the most annoying brothers of all time. Making themselves out as the "alpha males" of the island, continuously calling each other "bro" like an only child trying to write siblings. Talking shit about the others. They're insufferable <3

I really like to see Cabby as a big sister to Goo and Bot!! :) Cabby carrying Goo through the red line game and letting him sit on her head multiple times during the show, and even their less pleasant interactions during I Am Chocolate reads like an older sister/little brother dynamic, coming from someone with an older sister. How she talks to Test Tube for Bot in Spring on the Breakfast and Bot stands up for her to Testy later on in Blue Buried? They give off sibling vibes to me and I love them.

Honestly I really think more object shows need to have system characters because I love the ways it can be interpreted

Like yinyang? Pretty accurate system rep imo! Sure some stuff is off (because it’s not supposed to directly be any dissociative disorder) but it’s pretty darn close

Also paper and looseleaf are pretty cool too (just not a big fan of the “evil alter” trope but I’m not pressed about it)

And that one tiktok creator (I think called “Cherub” has an OC that is neat as well!

I love seeing more system representation in media and especially object shows
