Kamal Family Update
Whew it’s been ages since we’ve had a proper family update. At this point most of the Kamal’s quivers are closed, and everyone has grown into the people they were meant to be, so this most likely is the final time the Kamal’s will be the main characters on shinyhappysims. I was gonna do this from Jamilah's POV at first but... nah.
As always, long post under the cut.
Anwar (68) and Isioma (66) have been married for 45 years and have 7 children. They are devout Christians. They have gone through a series of struggles together regarding their children but have overcome everything through their faith in both God and each other. Although they do not agree with all of the things that their children and Isioma’s siblings do, they value having a good relationship with their family above all else, and do not attempt to push their thoughts on to anyone.
Imani (43), the oldest of the Kamal children is married to Raphaël (44) with 7 children: twins Manon and Mireille (17), twins Sidonie and Étienne (12), and triplets Yves, Noël and Matthieu (11). Raphaël and his children have a family orchestra together and tour churches. Even though Imani occasionally joins them on tours, she no longer plays with them; She’s much busier and happier playing with the Windenburg Simphony. After having 7 kids in 6 years, Imani secretly got her tubes tied. Raphaël eventually figured it out and was enraged. He forgave her for doing it, but hasn’t forgiven her for keeping it a secret. There’s some love lost between the two of them, but they’re both too stubborn and too deeply religious to admit they should probably divorce each other. Raphaël is more than okay with keeping Imani around as his trophy wife, and Imani is subscribing to the “at least I have a husband” school of thought. Their children attend a private Christian school in Windenburg. Most of the kids are secretly over the whole orchestra thing, but put up with it because it's one of the few times their dad pays attention to them. Mireille is the only one who is enthusiastic about music, and hopes to follow her mother’s footsteps in the Simphony someday.
Aaliyah (42) is probably the only Kamal that came out the way Isioma and Anwar expected their kids to. She’s married to Colby (41) and they have 10 children: Aaron (20), Bethany (18), Christian (17), Darius (15), Ezra (13), Felicity (12), Gabrielle (6), Hallie (4), Iliana (2) and Joshua (0). Neither of Kelechi’s sons ever took an interest in ministry, so upon his impending retirement, the church will be handed down to Colby. Oldest son Aaron is already overjoyed at the thought of being a pastor someday. Aaliyah and Colby are hoping for one more child, but things aren’t looking so hot for them. Much to their chagrin, Aaliyah’s fertility slowed down considerably after the birth of Felicity. They homeschool their children. Aaliyah is quite fundie, but not hateful (but definitely a little judgmental) like her other fundie relatives. She just sees absolutely nothing wrong with the way she was raised or the way she lives currently.
Malik (40) and his wife Lucy (40)’s family is complete now that they finally had a boy have 5 children: Chanel (13), Jocelyn (11), Tierra (7), Valencia (3), and Matteo (1). Malik is a hardworking handyman known for having an eccentric personality but a kind heart. Lucy, who works as a freelance photographer, gets mistaken for being more fundie than she actually is, because she prefers to wear skirts and dresses. However, it’s moreso in a cottagecore aesthetic way, and not in a “pants are men’s clothes!” way. She’s very quick to let her husband’s extended family that bigotry, especially in the name of God is NOT welcome in her home. They homeschool their children up until middle school and send them to a private Christian school after that. Malik and Lucy are also very similar to Malik’s parents. They may not agree with certain things, but they would never let that affect their love for friends and family, and they definitely don’t think their religious beliefs should influence the government and the lives of all people.
Layla (37) and her husband Asher (37) live a cushy life in Britechester along with their 4 children: Orli (12), twins Hilit and Elan (8), and Shai (2). Layla and her twin brother were always the pride and joy of the Kamal family because of their miraculous recovery from complications at their birth and then their exemplary performance in school. Layla’s fall from grace occurred after dating Asher. Spending time with his family made her realize Judaism fit her beliefs better and she converted after they had been dating for a year. Layla’s decision to convert estranged her from her parents for a few months because they felt betrayed, however they made up by the time the wedding rolled around. Despite being the only ones in this family that probably have the qualifications to homeschool their kids, Layla and Asher send their kids to public school. Layla works as an astronaut and has lead several successful missions into space, while Asher, formerly a high school science teacher, now works as an advisor for students in the chemistry department at Foxbury.
Rahim (37) and his wife Rina (37) do whatever they want and almost seem to get off on making Rahim’s fundie relatives tick. They have been deconstructing together ever since their forced marriage, that occurred as a result of Rina’s teen pregnancy, and attend a progressive Episcopal church. They have three children: Rose (20), Reginald (11) and Raven (9). Reginald and Raven also attend public school, while Rose attends Britechester University and is majoring in psychology. Rose is a lesbian and her parents and church wholeheartedly support her. Rose coming out was the final push to convince Rahim to stop supporting conservative politicians. He even took her to her first pride parade this year.
Jamilah (32) is the only Kamal kid to fall off the deep end and plunge into the koolaid head first, and has dragged her husband Niran (38) in with her. They currently have 9 unfortunately-named children: Arrow-Michael (13), Courage-John (12), Honor-Luke (10), Glory-Jane (9), Emmanuel-Paul (6), twins Mercy-Marie and Blessing-Belle (5), Sunday-Grace (3), and Angel-Gabriel (1). Jamilah is currently pregnant with baby number 10. We have more than enough evidence of how unhinged the “Saelim family serving Jesus” is, so we’re moving on.
Khalil (25), the baby of the Kamal family, is an actor. who’s beginning to make a name for himself on Simway. He recently married famous singer Jaimie (28). Khalil has begun to distance himself from his fundie relatives as A: it’s not good PR at all and B: they just have awful energy that he doesn’t want to put up with. No kids for Khalil and Jaimie. Khalil is far too busy thinking about his career and possibly, maybe, another woman.

TTRPG Read-Through: Patchwork World
Here is a read-through I did last year (originally posted on Twitter) of one of the most unique PbtA games I've ever read: Patchwork World by Aaron King! - Christian
Credits up first. I know a lot of these folks and they are really cool! Excited to dig into this. I've heard good things, and it's been a while since I've read or played any Powered by the Apocalypse.
This is a cool, strong set up for me. I really like settings that ask characters to face a changing world and either take up change themselves or work to restore the old way of things. It's a headspace I find myself in a lot IRL these days so it's fun to explore.
I'm interested to see how the no stats, no playbooks angle of this game works, considering playbooks are typically such a staple of PbtA games.
Standard three-tired success, mixed success, fail forward resolution for rolls here and questions on the moves determine your bonus to the roll. Easy peasy. +2 is the max bonus.
Other types of rolls are described here. Interested to see how they come into play. I also love clocks and use them in pretty much every game I run so it's nice to see those laid out here too.
We just love a lil guy, don't we folks?
A good chunk of the opening here is spent on laying out a lot of solid foundations of roleplaying generally. It feels like a book (so far) that would work for entirely new players. It doesn't feel essential for me, but I never mind a game that supports varied experience levels.
Character creation is wide open, especially since there aren't playbooks and the text stresses that character creation is very much worldbuilding because of this. Fate-like concepts and tags are in here too which are things I generally enjoy. I like the Drawback mechanic.
Moves are in the playback I set in the other room so I'm gonna go grab those. You get two chosen moves and everyone has access to a number of default moves. You've got three other life/XP things to keep track of too. I'm especially interested in Hex.
There are a lot of moves! They seem quite varied and often very weird, fitting well with the titular patchwork world. You can have a duck's slick soul to dodge more easily or a magical space suit or speak to birds or be good at cartography. Overwhelming, but in an exciting way.
You also choose a community as a party. While PCs all have their original homelands (before the end of the old worlds), you know have a community that gets its own little sheet. This is a cool reshaping of the Gangs from Blades. I also like how the community can change over time.
Coming back to a PbtA game after months of more OSR-minded stuff, I think a lot of what these games contain are things that experienced players would say you could just do in any game at any time that it makes sense in the story, but I do find value in stating what's possible.
Esp since many players come to games with artificial limits on their options (whether that's from video games, more traditional RPGs, etc.). I just think good GMing here requires making sure that the players don't limit themselves just to the bevy of explicit options either.
GM moves (mostly to guide the response to failed rolls). I really think the community aspect of this set up is one of the biggest appeals to me so far. That and the wild list of moves, which I'm sure makes for amazing parties of characters.
I always feel like it's never something I should be in my own writing (for some probably unnecessary reason), but I enjoy the first-person, casual writing style throughout the book. Makes for a very chill read.
Good to see this game employs the Branson Reese style of NPC naming.
Stress acts as a single catch-all health and challenge rating for NPCs. Ideally, I'd hope this would help lead to the PCs approaching encounters with more than just violence.
Sections like this are what I'm referring to when I say this book feels very friendly to new players. It's got little anecdotes and thoughts like this throughout.
Look, it's been a while since I've seen A Christmas Story but... it didn't have ghosts in it right?
There's a sample adventure in the back (which I'll skip for this read-through) plus loads of random tables. Some wonderfully bizarre stuff in the characters and faction tables. Really gives you a good idea for how gonzo you can go with the setting.
Love these two in particular
Optional rules include hard mode (which I just think is kind of funny to see in PbtA, but could be cool if you lean heavy into the post-apoc setting) and some optional moves. I like that some moves focus on romance, something I enjoy IRL but never think to focus on in games.
I was wondering why this was the sixth edition!
That's all for the book itself. Going back to the packet to dig into the things I missed. Some expected bits in here but always one or two unique options I really enjoy. Leaking hex is cool (and could have some troubling cascade effects in certain situations).
I definitely wish, at least in sitting down to read like this, that the contents of the player packet was also in the book itself. I think PbtA has this tendency of leading to loads of pages on the table, but it can make them very easy to pick up and play or to learn as you play.
That element is definitely here, but I think the vast number of wide-ranging moves and the excitement that would drum up in my player group would more than makeup for that initial overwhelming feel of "whoa, that's a lot of papers out on the table".
Overall, it's the most I've wanted to play a game in this style in a while. I like that the base setup for the world is very much up to the players to determine via the characters they make. I like that PCs here will probably feel unlike any other folks have played before.
The community aspect feels like where I'd want to center my story around, as a player. Seeing that shift and change over time feels like it would be very rewarding and would help lean into the "the old world is dead, what do we want the new world to look like?" theme I enjoy.
Because Aaron King is cool and recently hit a lot of Twitter followers, Patchwork Worlds is now Pay-what-you-want over on Itch.
I'm not sure if physical copies are readily available. For full disclosure (guess I should have said this up front), I got this copy for free from Aaron! Not for the purposes of this thread or anything, just for fun a while back.
Thanks for reading more ramblings from me! If you like to do that sort of thing, check out my newsletter - Missives from the MeatCastle. It's got writings on my work, cool stuff I've run across the web in the last month, and exclusive rpg stuff! https://meatcastle.substack.com

AMERICAN IDOL
Nobody Could Break Shannen Doherty, and Everybody Tried
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star was America's favorite Nightmare Girl — hated, feared, idolized. She embraced it all with an ever-present, knowing smirk
BY ROB SHEFFIELD
JULY 14, 2024
MARIO CASILLI/"TV GUIDE"/© AARON SPELLING PRODUCTIONS/EVERETT COLLECTION Rest in peace, Shannen Doherty — the quintessential Hollywood bad girl of the Nineties, the Heather-est of the Heathers. Doherty made her legend on Beverly Hills, 90210, the best TV teen drama ever by a mile, playing teenage chaos agent and drama factory Brenda Walsh. The world is mourning the news of Doherty’s death, at only 53, after an agonizing, nine-year, public battle with cancer. Yet she faced her health struggles with the same fighting spirit she brought to everything she did. Doherty was always defiantly herself, America’s nightmare of a Difficult Girl, which made her the most vilified celebrity of her time. But she wore it proudly. “I have a rep,” she said in 2010. “Did I earn it? Yeah, I did.”
She always had that wonderfully cocky grin, from 90210 to her Let’s Be Clear podcast. It was that grin, more than anything, that made her controversial. It wasn’t her brief marriages or her “difficult” work rep or her tabloid feuds that made her Hollywood’s most hated woman — it was the smile, her cool self-satisfied look of knowing she was the shit. That’s what America could not forgive her for — she loved being Shannen Doherty and refused to apologize for it. Nothing she went through, even in her final years, could break that grin.
She blew up right before the Nineties explosion of feminist pop culture, as the Alanis/Fiona/Courtney/Missy/Liz/Left Eye revolution took off. She was the jagged little pill that America could not swallow, and it got her crucified in public. But it’s why so many of us idolized her.
In Heathers, Winona Ryder’s Veronica Sawyer asks, “Why do you have to be such a mega-bitch?” Doherty, as queen bee Heather Duke replies, “Because I can be.” Only Doherty could give that line such a stiletto twist.
I saw her last year making a rare public appearance at a Nineties pop-culture fan convention in Florida. She had the longest lines at her autograph booth — fans told me they’d camped out for hours before her sessions even started. Everybody knew she was battling cancer, so it was emotional to see the crowd erupt when she came out for a Charmed reunion panel, saying that she was “feeling great,” holding court with that same cocky smile. She also refused to take part in the Beverly Hills, 90210 reunion panel, featuring almost all her castmates, even though she was right there in the building — she scheduled an autograph session while it was happening. What a Brenda Walsh power move.
Even before 90210, Doherty was ferocious. She was just 17 when she became one of the all-time-great movie supervillains in Heathers, as the high-school mean girl Heather Duke. It was supposed to be a star vehicle for Winona and Christian Slater, but Shannen steals it, especially in the funeral scene. She’s dressed to kill, in black gloves and a royal-wedding hat. She kneels by the casket to pray over her dead friend’s body. “I prayed for the death of Heather Chandler many times,” she tells the Lord. “And I felt bad every time I did it, but I kept doing it anyway. Now I know you understood everything. Praise Jesus! Hallelujah!” Her sadistic smirk is still shocking after all these years.
Doherty was a child actress, appearing in Little House on the Prairie when she was 11, alongside frontier patriarch Michael Landon. She credited him for inspiring her combative streak. “He told me, ‘Go with your instinct, and never let anybody walk over you, and always stick up for what you believe in,’” she once said. She stood out in the bizarrely underrated masterpiece Girls Just Want to Have Fun, one of the Eighties’ best teen movies, as Sarah Jessica Parker’s sassy little sister.
But she became a household name with Beverly Hills, 90210. “This receptionist told me, ‘What you have done for brunettes is amazing,’” Doherty told Rolling Stone in a 1992 cover story. “‘It’s always the blondes that get the guy, who have the wonderful life, who are perceived as the most beautiful one. And you have totally turned it around.” Brenda and her twin brother Brandon (Jason Priestley) had just moved to Beverly Hills from Minnesota. The Walshes were an innocent Midwest family dropped into the decadent SoCal fleshpots, where her mom fretted, “You didn’t wear this much makeup in Minnesota.”
The joke was that Shannen didn’t have a drop of Minnesota in her — her family was from Memphis, but she grew up in L.A., with showbiz written all over her face. “I dress more for my figure than Brenda does,” she said to Rolling Stone, explaining why she wore a bodysuit to the interview. “She’d probably put a dress over this bodysuit to hide herself. Brenda’s more apple pie, girl next door, America’s sweetheart.” That wasn’t Doherty’s style. Her glamour was more suited to the L.A. shoulder-pads era — she made a fantastic hair-metal muse in a video for the band Slaughter’s power ballad “Real Love.” Brenda was originally scripted as the nice, wholesome heroine, but Shannen turned it around with her sheer force of personality. Brenda had drama with practically everyone at West Beverly Hills High School, dating the bad boy Dylan. (Luke Perry tragically died of a stroke in 2019, only 52, a year younger than Doherty.) Jennie Garth played her best friend Kelly, yet they famously despised each other; one on-set brawl got so intense that Brian Austin Green had to break it up. (Green and Doherty had a laugh about this last year on her podcast.) The tension blew up with the Brenda/Dylan/Kelly love triangle. Dylan and Kelly try to keep it secret, until the legendary scene when Brenda catches them at a restaurant. Naturally she turns an awkward public encounter into World War 3, snarling, “Kelly, if you’re trying to lose your bimbo image, I honestly don’t think this will help.” If you doubt her greatness as an actor, watch her in this scene: She was a genius at hostile eye contact. Doherty made it a classic TV moment — even though Dylan really did belong with Kelly, sorry.
Brenda became the most hated character on TV. The zine Ben Is Dead did a spinoff called I Hate Brenda, with lines like “Shannen: The Other White Meat” and fantasies about Ted Nugent bow-hunting her. Plus a spinoff album full of bangers like “Brenda Can’t Dance To This” and the sensual slow jam “Horny Brenda.” It came with an “I Hate Brenda” T-shirt riddled with bloody bullet holes. When Doherty hosted Saturday Night Live in 1993, it became a horrifyingly misogynistic get-the-guest episode, sadly typical of that SNL era. In one sketch, Doherty was in the dock at the Salem Bitch Trials, with the whole cast chanting, “Burn the bitch!” (When Luke Perry hosted SNL, one of the first jokes in his monologue was “Be nice or I’ll get Shannen after you.”)
The tabloids were obsessed with her public fights, especially when she battled with Paris Hilton over Rick Salomon, Doherty’s ex from a quickie Vegas marriage. When her name came up on The Simple Life, Hilton just sniffed, “I hate that girl.”
Doherty was the bad conscience of Nineties girlhood, which was why America was so fascinated with the idea of hating her. Like Brenda, she was judged by ridiculously hypocritical double standards, sexualized and then demonized for it. She was about one-sixth as destructive as your average Hollywood male star of the time, yet she was the one constantly on trial for being everybody’s worst-case-scenario of a messy girl in public, prosecuted in her own real-life Salem Bitch Trials. Yet she refused to back down or play nice. This bitch would not burn. The 1992 ABC TV movie Obsessed is largely forgotten now — it’s total trash, but Doherty is brilliant in it. Her character spends the movie stalking her ex, who is (of all people) Seventies character actor William Devane, who was in McCabe & Mrs. Miller before she was born. (When this movie comes out, she’s 21, he’s 63 — exactly three times her age.) Naturally, the movie presents him as an innocent family man seduced and trapped by a stereotypical psycho sexpot, but Shannen’s feral intensity makes it very different — she’s in a totally different movie from anyone else onscreen. It’s full of normal people living their hypocritical lives, all agreeing that she’s the problem. But she doesn’t see it that way and won’t play that role. It’s the Alanis “I’m not quite as well and I thought you should know” brought to life.
Doherty moved on to Charmed, in a threesome of witch sisters with Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs. After three seasons of conflict with Milano, Charmed finally killed off Doherty’s character and replaced her with Rose McGowan. Doherty reprised the role of Brenda in the terrible 2008 Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot, and again in the campy 2019 BH90210 miniseries. She also had a great 2006 reality show on the Oxygen network: Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty. Each week she met with people desperate to escape their dysfunctional relationships, so she stepped in and did the breaking up for them. A perfect use of her skill set: the emotional assassin.
At the Charmed reunion panel last year, she kept snuggling on the couch with fellow bad-girl lifer Rose McGowan, who said her biggest career regret was that she and Shannen didn’t overlap on the show, so they never got to be witch sisters. A fan asked if Rose, Shannen, and Holly-Marie Combs would say the Power of Three ritual together, since they never got the chance on the show. It was indescribably moving to see these three women — all outcasts in Hollywood, all women discarded and demonized in different ways, all counted out and written off — huddle together and chant, “The Power of Three will set us free!”
It was a moment that said so much about her power, and why she will be missed and remembered. But she always lived up to that answer she gave Winona in Heathers. Why did she have to be Shannen Doherty? Because she could be.

It's so interesting that the last cycle of nakshatra from (Mula to Revati) lie in the signs ruled heavy & slow moving outer planets Jupiter & Saturn. Starting from Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius & ending in Pisces. The planetary nature of nakshatras attains maturity under them.
This makes Purva Bhadra Pada nakshatra an extremely critical nakshatra, especially in terms of spiritual progress because it is ruled by both heavy planets Jupiter and Saturn. Purva Bhadra Pada nakshatra is ruled by Aja Ekapada, one of the forms of Rudra. There in total 11 rudras born to Goddess Aditi.
Both in Ardra & Purva Bhadra Pada nakshatras, one will notice Rudra energies. We see a mature form of Shiva, the divine masculine. In Purva Bhadra Pada nakshatra, Jupiter reaches its maturity.
In this thread further I will discuss about the nature of Purva Bhadra Pada nakshatra. In my personal opinion, natives of this placement share a lot of similarities with lord Shiva (bcz of Rudra connection). Most of them are extremely generous to a fault.
Lord Shiva is known to be the most generous God granting boons to people who worship him. He is always surrounded by snakes and different forms of ghosts. Snakes are yin beings are attracted to Shiva is the ultimate yang form. Purva Bhadra Pada nakshatra natives have strong yang due to Jupiter. Another aspect of Purva Bhadra Pada natives is that they resist spending much on their themselves, their homes or lifestyle. While they are extremely successful in the material world accumulate lot of wealth due to Jupiter influence. But like Shiva, chose to give away generously.
One of the symbols of Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra is a man with two faces. This is best depicted through the character in the Dark Knight movie, Two-Face. It was played by Purva Bhadra Pada nakshatra Sun Aaron Eckhart.
In the beginning, he was "Harvey Dent" who was viewed by everyone in Gotham, including Bruce Wayne, played by Christian Bale (Shravana Sun; Vishnu Symbolism) as a shining beacon of hope and goodness. He changes after his traumatic loss of his beloved Rachel in the movie.
This is similar to the story of Shiva who became furious after losing his first wife Sati. Most Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra undergo major transformation in their lives. As I have mentioned before Saturn adds a lot of trauma and challenges in the lives of Aquarius & Capricorn moon, especially emotional.
But in the Dark Knight movie, Dent's dark side is protected for the public. Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra have a strong humanitarian nature & are quite popular in public due to their wisdom & generosity. But their dark side is often protected. Sometimes people who are aware of their darkness, protect it.
I love the interplay between Batman (played by Shravana Sun), Two Face(played by PBP Sun) Aaron Eckhart and Joker (played by Revati sun) Heath Ledger. It shows the interplay between the last three signs of Capricorn, Aquarius & Pisces.
Another good example of Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra is Purva Bhadra Pada Sun native Jon Hamm's character in Mad Men. Don Draper had a traumatic past and sad childhood which he carefully hid beneath his charming and successful personality. Few people knew of his other side, his other face.

Ok, so one thing I really hate is when book covers are updated based on an adaptation coming out, especially when the new cover is lazy and/or boring and the original had actual art and especially when it’s just showing the actor’s faces who have nothing to do with the book, instead of anything related to what the book is about.
But I think this is the worst case of it I’ve ever seen. I think this cover change actually should be considered false advertising:
Now if you haven’t both read the book and watched the show, you might not see what’s especially bad about this.
Although even without that info, I would still argue that it was not cowritten by Octavia Spencer and Aaron Paul and that seems a little misleading the way they’re listed, and I would also argue that the cover makes it look like the book is an adaptation of the show rather than the other way around.
But then let me tell you what each of these are about (apologies if i misremember some minor details bc it was a while ago now that i watched/read it):
the show, especially season 1, uses a mystery as a backdrop and jumping off point to primarily explore Octavia Spencer’s character Poppy’s conflict between various parts of her identity as a Black woman who grew up in poverty and abuse and went on to have a successful career as a reporter and marry an attorney and “got out”, but has now left her reporter job to start a true crime podcast and returned to her home town where her family is and where her father’s gang is and where her ex is a former cop. And then she starts to realize that maybe the white kid (Aaron Paul’s character, Warren Cave) that got charged with murder because of one of her stories years ago might actually have been innocent, but now while in prison he’s been indoctrinated into a white supremacist gang. And all the conflicts that seem obvious there start conflicting. Poppy faces a lot of cognitive dissonance over all of these conflicting parts of her, plus over trying to figure out if seeking the truth is hurting the people around her or helping them, or helping some and hurting others. Later seasons also focus on things like homelessness and child trafficking.
in the book, Poppy is a white woman with strawberry blonde hair, and the book is told from the perspective of one of the other characters, one of the victim’s daughters, Josie, plus epistolaries of excerpts from Poppy’s podcast and social media posts/comments. It’s one of those books where everyone is assumed white (in that hair colors and blushing and things are mentioned that imply they are white but race is never explicitly mentioned). The only mention of race I could find was one Reddit comment “what did you expect them to do? she was a pretty white girl and he was a big scary metal freak”. Instead it focuses on the psychological horror Josie, goes through in experiencing this unraveling of her life and reopening of the case she had tried to distance herself from. Warren is assumed to be evil for being, well, as that comment said, “a big scary metal freak”, or as Poppy described him, “the kind of teenager most of us cross the street to avoid.” But since then has become heavily Christian and repented against being like that. And Poppy is portrayed as a lot more about seeking attention and fame without consideration for who she hurts along the way (which is what the victim’s family thinks at times during the show, so that’s not too different other than the perspective).
The resolution to the case is quite different as well and there’s a lot of differences in how it approaches that and how the victim’s family feels since it is through their lens versus Poppy’s, but I don’t want to spoil it.
And I don’t give all those details to demonstrate that the book has lower value than the show. This is all to say that these are extremely different stories that only share the commonality of some of the people involved playing the same role more or less and some of the case details being the same.
And I think even if you haven’t seen the show, the cover gives the impression that this book will be about a Black woman and a white supremacist (due to the imagery of Aaron Paul’s shaved head and the associations that has), although I’m definitely biased having seen the show.
But either way the point of the change is to sell the book to people who saw the show, and honestly it’s a huge letdown because anyone who enjoyed the show is probably going to find the book pretty lacking in the kind of content they got from the show, and I think it is genuinely misleading in that it tries to give the impression that this is more or less the same story told in the show and that the subjects portrayed on the cover relate to the original story.
Do I think it will sell more copies? Of course. Do I think that it is evil? Yes. Do I think that it should be illegal? Also yes. Is it illegal? 🤷♀️ I’m not a lawyer.
So publishers, if you ever have a situation like this where the premise of the show is so fundamentally different from the book, I’m asking you to reconsider.

While my account lately has been Bridgerton dominant I do have other things I obsess over. One of them is musical theater. And the man, the myth, the legend Aaron Tveit is probably my favorite performer ever. And he’s back in Moulin Rouge on Broadway so I made poor life decisions and went to the show shortly after his return. And if anything he’s even better than he was before. It’s astounding.
Anyway while I love MR the Broadway musical and the movie there are some key differences that I have liked and disliked. Here’s some of them (SPOILERS AHEAD: YOU’VE BEEN WARNED):
1. Like - the change for Christian to be a songwriter and Latreuc (pardon my poor spelling) to be the play writer. They really gave Latreuc more of a backstory and character in the Broadway show as compared to the movie where there just isn’t too much.
2. Like - the family feel of the club. In the movie it seems like there’s a lot of animosity among the people of the Moulin Rouge and in the show you see that a smidge, but throughout you really get the feel that they are all they have in the world and they genuinely love each other. Especially the Nini/Satine relationship.
3. Like/Dislike - this is a rough one for me. And I think it depends on who is playing Satine in the show. In the movie she really is just looking to become a “real actress” whereas show Satine is looking to better her life and the lives of everyone at the Moulin Rouge. So you see her giving into the Duke a little more than you do in the movie. Because he’s promising her a better life than she has. But in the show I feel like if the emotions aren’t played in a certain way you don’t sympathize with her but that’s just my opinion.
5. Dislike - the ending. Channeling the Duke in the movie “I don’t like this ending”. The movie ending is quite different from the production. In the movie Christian returns and pays Satine for her “services”. In the show Christian is pretty dark and murderous. In the movie they reunite and in the show that part is pretty similar but then the Duke continues to try to kill Christian with a gun but in the show Christian has the gun and is going to kill himself in front of Satine. I just hate it. I don’t know if they changed it so there was still a gun involved or what. But it makes Christian seem very unstable and almost that his love was such a fantasy or infatuation. In the movie the Duke parting ways with the club is shown and it’s not in the production. The Duke gives satine flowers the night of the performance and she tells him off, but he has a line saying basically she is still his and always will be and that’s it. It’s just a really missed moment. There is no severing the ties with the Duke.
5. Like - the change in the Duke. Show Duke is hot. It makes it more believable and tempting for Satine to stay with the Duke as opposed to the movie when it seems like such an easy decision. Show Duke is also way crazier and more dangerous than movie Duke. I love when someone plays the Duke absolutely batshit crazy.
All this to say that MR on Broadway is hands down the best production I’ve ever seen. From the minute you step into the theater you’re transported to a different world. It is such an experience. And I adore going and notice new things every time. Even though my biggest disappointment is the ending of the show I will never not go. Although I will say I have never not seen Aaron Tveit in the role of Christian. Every time I’ve gone he’s been on and I can’t bring myself to see anyone else. So be sure to catch him for his limited run until April 9th. You won’t be disappointed.

Can Malik Willis Lead the Packers to Another Victory?
The NFL season is in full swing, and as the Green Bay Packers prepare to face their division rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, on September 29, all eyes are on Malik Willis. Having joined the Packers in a surprising off-season move, the young quarterback finds himself at the helm of one of the NFL’s most storied franchises after Jordan Love’s injury.
However, even though the youngster has led his team to their recent victory against the Titans, his performance against the Vikings will be a defining moment in the Packer’s season. If it even happens, that is. Love will be a game time decision. However, if it is Willis, fans are eager to see if he has what it takes to lead the team to another victory in this key matchup.
The Packers’ Offensive Scheme
Under head coach Matt LaFleur, the Packers have employed a balanced offensive scheme that emphasizes both the running game and play-action passing. These factors will play a huge role in improving the team’s odds of winning against the Vikings.
Currently, the odds at the best offshore sportsbooks favor the Packers and sit at -130 on various local betting platforms. Although slight underdogs, the Vikings’ odds aren’t that bad either going into the game. Their odds sit at +120 as bookmakers expect the game to be a tight contest. However, with talented running backs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon in the backfield, Green Bay boasts one of the most dynamic rushing attacks in the league. This will provide Willis with a safety net, allowing him to lean on the ground game while he continues to develop as a passer.
The Packers’ offensive line, anchored by veteran left tackle David Bakhtiari, is also one of the league’s best at both pass protection and run blocking. This will give Willis the time he needs in the pocket to make his reads and deliver accurate throws. Additionally, Green Bay’s wide receiver corps, led by Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, provides Willis with reliable targets who can stretch the field and create separation.
LaFleur’s offense is designed to make life easier for quarterbacks, especially young ones. By relying on play-action, LaFleur can scheme open receivers and simplify Willis’ decision-making process. This approach, coupled with Willis’ athleticism and arm strength, makes the Packers’ offense dangerous, especially when they’re firing on all cylinders.
The Vikings’ Defense: A Tough Test
While the Packers’ offense has the tools to be successful, the Vikings’ defense presents a significant challenge. Under defensive coordinator Brian Flores, the Vikings have been known for their aggressive, blitz-heavy schemes.
Flores loves to dial up pressure from all angles, often disguising his blitzes to confuse opposing quarterbacks. For a young quarterback like Willis, this can be a nightmare scenario.
Minnesota’s defensive front, featuring Danielle Hunter and Harrison Phillips, excels at generating pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Hunter, in particular, is a relentless pass rusher who has a history of causing problems for the Packers’ offensive line. If Willis struggles to identify and evade the Vikings’ blitzes, it could be a long day for the Packers’ offense.
In the secondary, the Vikings have playmakers such as Harrison Smith, one of the NFL’s savviest safeties. Smith is known for his ability to read quarterbacks and bait them into making mistakes. Willis will need to be especially cautious when throwing over the middle of the field, as Smith has a knack for jumping routes and creating turnovers.
However, the Vikings’ defense is not without its weaknesses. Their cornerback group has been vulnerable at times, and if Willis can stay calm under pressure, he can exploit matchups in the secondary.
The Packers will likely look to establish the running game early, forcing the Vikings to commit extra defenders to stop Jones and Dillon. This could open up opportunities for Willis to take deep shots down the field, especially on play-action passes.
Can Willis Handle the Pressure?
The biggest question heading into the Packers-Vikings showdown on September 29 is whether Malik Willis can handle the pressure, both figuratively and literally. This is not just a regular game for the Packers; it’s a divisional rivalry, and a win could go a long way in shaping the team’s playoff hopes.
Willis has yet to prove that he can perform consistently in high-pressure situations at the NFL level. While he has shown flashes of brilliance, he has also made costly mistakes, particularly when faced with heavy pressure. The Vikings’ defense will undoubtedly test his ability to make quick decisions and avoid turnovers.
One factor that could work in Willis’ favor is his mobility. Unlike many quarterbacks, Willis can escape the pocket and make plays with his legs. If the Vikings’ pass rush becomes too overwhelming, Willis can use his athleticism to extend plays and pick up crucial yards on the ground. This dual-threat capability could be the X-factor that tilts the game in the Packers’ favor.

Supreme Court Fails America & The Rule Of Law
The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has failed to uphold the rule of law when it comes to the insurrectionist actions of Donald Trump. It is a pretty worrying situation when the highest court in the land plays politics over upholding the constitutional laws of the land. Supreme Court fails America and the rule of law. America has ended up with an activist conservative majority of justices, who are hellbent on protecting Donald Trump by hook or by crook. These 5 guys have been placed in positions of unassailable power, at great expense to those with vested interests, to ensure that Republican endorsed values and politics get the nod.
SCOTUS Deliberately Misinterprets Article 3 Of The 14th Amendment
SCOTUS has ruled roughshod over Article 3 of the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution to reroute the law the way that will favour their guy, Donald J Trump. There is no reading of this Civil War amendment that concurs historically or legally with its stated intention in the this ruling by SCOTUS – it is a deliberate misreading and interpretation of it. All trust in the independence of this highest court in the land is gone. The rule of law, when it comes to Donald Trump, goes missing in action via the ruling and opinion of SCOTUS in this matter. “The 14th Amendment's Section 3 bars from office any "officer of the United States" who took an oath "to support the Constitution of the United States" and then "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof." "We conclude that states may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But states have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the presidency," the unsigned opinion for the court stated.” - (https://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/us-supreme-court-unanimously-restores-donald-trump-to-2024-presidential-primary-ballots/2qvku6oql) Photo by Aaron Kittredge on Pexels.com
Conservative Conspiracy: Trump & SCOTUS
The way this is starting to play out leads one to speculate upon whether the fix was always in. Did Trump’s insurrectionist and election fraud attempts occur with the knowledge that he always had these justices in his pocket? Is this whole debacle a much bigger conservative conspiracy to defraud the American people and disable democracy? How can these justices not uphold the rule of law by confirming that Donald Trump must face trial for the crimes upon which he has been indicted by the DOJ? How can any American have any faith left in the judicial system if it fails to hold Trump accountable at the final hurdle? How Much More Will America Take From This SCOTUS? Will the American people put up with a supreme court hijacked by extreme conservative activist justices? Especially, as its decisions are unrepresentative of the majority of the population. Abortion laws have been overturned at the federal level by SCOTUS, which mean that these terminations have been banned and criminalised by states controlled by GOP legislators. The majority of Americans want women to have unrestricted access to abortions and control of their own reproductive rights. IVF is now under threat in Alabama with GOP aligned judges banning it on the grounds that unfertilized human embryos are now, according to them, legally recognised human beings with rights. Republican legislators are, also, after restricting access for Americans to chemical contraception. There is a strong Christian fundamentalist anti-science push happening inside the GOP in these red states. These Republicans want to get back into the bedrooms of everyday Americans and decide what and with who they can do there. Backward policies from backward looking busybodies who want more power over the lives of their constituents. Will Americans really put up with this conspiracy enacted by conservative activists funded by billionaires aligned with the GOP? #UNGA President Donald J. Trump by National Archives and Records Administration is licensed under CC-CC0 1.0 It Is Time To Act & Vote Democrat It is time to act and to stop the rot! The Right think it is only their bully boys with guns that will determine the direction of America. There are many more Americans who want to protect their freedoms than these extremists. It is time to march and to take to the streets to protest against the hijacking of SCOTUS by the hard Right. Now, all Americans need to vote Democrat to ensure the electoral demise of Trump. Plus, it is time to extend the size of the SCOTUS bench to even the field once more. The future of America depends upon progressives, looking backward will not assist America going forward. There are no nations anywhere which have made a go of things by trying to live in the past. It is a fool’s errand and only the politics of grievance mines this for short term electoral advantage. Trump and the GOP are about white supremacy and a denial of the real racial demographics of 21C America. The culture wars are a political strategy devoid of any constructive policies that will ultimately benefit America. Nearly a million Americans died during the pandemic, under the incompetent Trump, and many of them were African Americans not adequately cared for by a heavily segregated nation. Schools and neighbourhoods in America are largely segregated. Photo by Leandro Paes Leme on Pexels.com SCOTUS needs to be enlarged to reduce the unequal power held by the conservatives. Republicans, more generally, are a shrinking demographic, especially in their current extremist manifestation. It is only through gerrymandering and voter suppression that they have held control in many districts. The highest court in the land must accurately reflect the wishes of the people and not just a group of privileged people longing for a past where white America lauded its power over all others. The slaver roots of the USA remain in the hearts of these sons and daughters of the Confederacy. Florida and many of the former states from the half of America that practiced slavery for hundreds of years have banned students and schoolkids learning anything about their slaver history from the perspective of African Americans. Whitewashing is going on in a big way via GOP policies in this regard. “Yes. The Constitution leaves this decision to Congress. It says, “the judicial power of the United States shall be vested in one Supreme Court and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.” And from time to time, Congress has indeed changed the number of justices. It was six when Congress passed the first Judiciary Act in 1789 and the number fluctuated in the mid-19th century. But since 1869, the high court has had nine justices.” - (https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2021-04-16/can-democrats-really-pack-the-supreme-court) Robert Sudha Hamilton is the author of Money Matters: Navigating Credit, Debt & Financial Freedom ©MidasWord Read the full article

Red - Rated R
A lot of modern hard-rock bands seem to go down one of two paths these days — the alt-right rabbit hole or falling into obscurity (while still having a good enough fanbase). Skillet and Trapt are apart of the former, as they have gone down the alt-right pipeline that’s either in a Christian sense and uses their religion to say some really bad stuff, or just has some very hateful views and decided to be open about them for whatever reason over the last handful of years. You could be a band like Three Days Grace, or Red, which are two bands that were popular around 15 years ago, but their popularity has waned in the last decade, yet they still have a dedicated fanbase. That’s not a bad thing, as plenty of bands that were once popular are doing their thing. Three Days Grace lost their popularity from replacing their longtime lead singer and none of their stuff being as good as their earlier work, but it’s hard to say about the band Red.
I remember listening to these guys about a decade ago, but I only listened to a couple of their albums. They were in the Christian rock scene, but they weren’t explicit about it. They didn’t make their faith their brand, as other bands did in that vein, but they were just a straightforward alt-metal / hard-rock band at heart. They were really big around the mid-00s, but their new album, Rated R, is their first album in a few years and I had no idea they even put out an album in 2020. Nonetheless, I saw they put this album out and I thought I’d listen to it, just to listen to something a bit different from what I’ve been playing lately. The album is also only 34 minutes, which makes for a very short listen, so what’s the worst that can happen, right?
Nothing at all, honestly, as Rated R (despite its cringy title) is just fine, but that’s its problem — that’s all it is. This is definitely an album that you can listen to, but it lacks any identity outside of being a hard-rock album. I mean, that’s fine if you’re just wanting a hard-rock / alt-metal album and that’s it, but its lack of variety is kind of taxing and boring by its end, only because they don’t go anywhere with it. There are a couple of cool riffs, and the hooks aren’t half bad, but this record just sounds like it’s repeating itself most of the time. Everything runs together and sounds the same, ultimately making for a very boring listen. Thankfully it’s so short that it never becomes a real big problem, but by the time the album’s over, you don’t even realize it, because everything just runs together.
I suppose it’s interesting to hear what Red is doing these days, and Rated R is a decent album. It’s not an offensive album that says anything horrible, especially in the vein of Trapt or Staind (you could not pay me to listen to that new Staind album; not only is Aaron Lewis a terrible Trump-loving weirdo these days, Staind has never been good to me), but it just falls through the cracks of rock music. They’re no Cannibal Corpse, who can make the same album over and over again, and they inject small doses of new ideas into each album to make them fresh, but this album isn’t bad. I wouldn’t recommend it, though, unless you’re a diehard fan, or you just want to hear what this band has been up to after all these years. You won’t be surprised, but you may be entertained, albeit it for its duration, ultimately forgetting about it.

Now, the dreaded Atlanta game think I am going to format this one a little differently to flow better. Some big names were out of this game, and we lost one during the game. David Baktiari, Aaron Jones, and Christian Watson are all ruled out for this. On top of this, we lose Elgton Jenkis to a knee injury. These are all key contributors and big losses to the team. We started out with Rasheed Walker at left tackle for most of the first half. This move caused us to get beat on multiple run plays, making AJ Dillon look horrible because he was fighting tacklers as soon as the ball was handed off. This was also the reason we abandoned the run and went into quick throw mode. When Walker was finally replaced, the pass blocking got tremendously better, but the run blocking was still horrendous. Why we kept trying to run left I haven't figured out yet. Love did well again with his midfield throws and was very accurate when needing to bullet a pass somewhere. But when he needed to throw the deep ball, things were status quo, and he is still under or over throwing receivers. Three of these were sure touchdowns where receivers got wide open. The receivers looked a little lost and ran the wrong routes a few times, so we can't pin the whole passing game on Love or can we because on his quarterback sneak he used the wrong code word and gave us a five yard back up. Speaking of backups, what about that call to not kick a 57-yard field goal after the penalty. A delay of the game penalty. The offense all game looked unmotivated. The special teams looked flat, and the hole team had no sense of urgency in the first half, and that is on the coaching. We went into halftime, barely beating Atlanta, a team we were slated to beat. We only played about a quarter in a half of football in this game, and the third quarter was what we needed to bring to the table the whole game. Good blocking, good, running good defense. The Packers' defense looked good except for some critical dropped picks and some miscues early in the game, but as the game went on, they became gassed due to play calling on both sides of the ball. We started acting like we had the game won going into the fourth quarter, and the gas petal on offense let up, leading to three horrible drives putting a gassed defense in bad position. This was in combination with Joe Berry placing a bear defense on the field, which led to major mismatches in the passing game. This, in turn, caused us not to get off the field on two consecutive third downs and a fourth down that helped seal the game for the Falcons. We didn't actually lose the game until the last drive. Why did we stop utilizing our tight ends from halfway through the third quarter to the end of the fourth. We needed about 37 yards to get in the fieldgoal range. Utilize the big body sideline throws to the tight ends and chunk plays to the boundaries and kick a 60 yarder if you half to but at least try. We seemed to give up on the last drive. Going back to the run game utilizing one running back all game especially one that is designed for bruising and bashing not cutting would wear anyone down lack of substitutions a long with very poor run blocking was what caused the second to last drive to stall with three straight runs the dude was gassed. We need to get better about having confidence in our players and utilizing our rotation even when things aren't heading in the right direction. The coaching staff has to do better about putting these guys in the right position to win and in the Atlanta game, which was winnable for sure our coaches got out coached didn't take the necessary risks to win and didn't put our players in the best position to win. Attrition and intelligence win games, and we didn't win in either category this week.

I did something completely unnecessary and looked up ages and timelines for dreamland/isekai protagonists and liminal spaces. What you do with the following information will be for you to deal with now. (Because I feverishly looked all of this up between the span of last night and this morning, despite math not being my strong suit, there is a chance I took a few wrong notes here and there. If you catch any I missed, I’ll edit the op.)
In late 2020, presumably mid-December after everyone’s birthdays passed, Eustace and Jill (the Final Battle) would be 87, Fran Bow would be 76, Milo (the Phantom Tollbooth) would be 69-72, Jesse Aarons (the Bridge to Terabithia) would be 52-60, Sarah Willians would be 50-55 (depending on when between 1980 and 1986 The Labyrinth is set in), cinema Bastian B. Bux would be 52 (book Bastian would be 46), the surviving Stranger Things cast would all be 37 years older, Sunny (OMORI) would be 40-44, Calvin (Calvin and Hobbes) would be 41, Helena Campbell (Mirrormask) would be 30-34, Misfortune R.H. would’ve been 27, Coraline would be 22-30, Madotsuki could’ve been anywhere between 26 and 45 if she survived, assuming this was set in the year of the release date, Max (the Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl) would be 25, and if the same assumption as for Yume Nikki applies, Ib would be 17 (quoting exact years in an abstract alternate dimension is not exactly reliable), making Garry presumably between 26 and 37.
Clara Silberhaus (the Nutcracker) was a senior by the time Alice fell into Wonderland.
Dorothy Gale was the same age as Digory and Polly (the Magician’s Nephew). They would have been in their twenties when Peter Pan and his shadow met Wendy, who would be in her mid-to-late twenties when Christopher Robin played in the Hundred-Acre Wood. Christopher would have been 24 when Fran Bow was taken to Ithersta. (And while it could be written off as an easter egg, a younger alternate Fran was friends with an alternate Alice. Being a younger alternate, they could have both been born later than in the timeline of the player’s Fran.)
Christopher Robin was 29 when Narnia was rebuilt from scratch, Wendy was in her mid-to-late 30′s, and Dorothy, Digory and Polly were ~69 (nice).
Milo (the Phantom Tollbooth) and Jesse Aarons are 9-20 years apart depending on when in the 70′s Jess and Leslie’s stories are supposed to take place.
The main events of Stranger Things mainly take place in Hawkins, Indiana, starting in 1983-- or 1979 if you count the first time a gate was opened even temporarily. Project Async’s known operations ran between the late 1980′s and late 1990′s, and is implicated by association with the Loma Prieta earthquake to be based in California. Their first prototype was run in May 1982, a year before the first sustained opening into the Upside-Down. The events of EverymanHYBRID concluded in 2010.
The City of Light and Land of Shadows, the Hundred-Acre Wood, the Lands Beyond, Neverland, Wonderland and the Looking Glass, the beldam (in the book wherein Coraline did not take place in Oregon) and much of Narnia’s invitations all made contact with our world (or at least one variation thereof) through England, especially London. Whether pagan practice was all that stood between Brits and an outbreak of dimensional rifts before the christianization of Europe remains unknown. If all these events happened in the same universe, well, maybe that just happened to be the arrival point of that escape route The Web was working on. I, of course, am entertained by the idea of Jon the Archivist becoming Jon the Hunger in this absolute crossover singularity I’ve just propositioned.

Hotch becoming a theater kid is so funny. Especially if he plays Misha, ending knowing Russian/Ukrainian thanks to Emily and Alex because that no way he wouldn’t learn speaking the language if he learns the accent. So after this Emily tease him everytime in Russian and he just rolls his eyes (their friendship is so odd, they’re total opposite and yet they’re also best friends). Moreover, I need to know who could be cast as Noel, Jane and Ricky, because I’m sure Penny would be an amazing Constance and Haley a Fantastic Ocean. For this three I just imaging Will or Sam Cooper being Noel, Seaver being Jane and Anderson being Ricky. Plus later, if Emily is queer in this fanfic, she probably tells him in Russian and he will look at her with his drama effect and just being like “I already know” in the same language. Just them having one of the stranger and scarier friendship.
Him and Penelope just bonding over plays and having with Haley some inside jokes w/out him knowing it’s some inside jokes because this kid could be so oblivious.
Hotch in pre-law who being cast as Christian from the Moulin Rouge (I do love the fact that this musicals is an adaption from the Hades & Persephone myth). He would be hilarious if he plays a new version of Elle but he would be a cutie as the cute lawyer that help Elle all along (yes I forgot his name).
I think him being a theater kid helped him for his trial speech as a prosecutor later.
He sang to Sean the sames lullabies that Eliza sang to him and later he singing the same to Spencer and that how Derek found about him knowing how to sing perfectly (I think Derek records him because nobody would believe him, if he has no proof).
When he won the theater competition (how many competition the US has ??? I really thinking it was a fictional things) Ned, Charlie, James, Alex and Spencer were in the public (I think the other kids too but he didn’t see him before starting) and he probably the first time he really understand the meaning of choose family and that YES THIS BOY HAVE A FAMILY EVEN IF HIS NOT A BLOOD ONE. At the end of his competition everyone was like in awww because he’s just incredible.
He plays Paul from the guy who didn’t like the musical. He doesn’t know how and why he gets the main character but all the other kids are like no surprise at all even Spencer.
When he proposed to Haley, he bought the ticket to see her favorites musicals in Broadway. Furthermore during their marriage he sing her favorite song from because he just love her so much that he would totally do anything for her. Yes he’s a SIMP.
I’m sorry this probably very long, I’m really hoping this didn’t have to many mistakes and yeah I probably have more ideas because theater kid Aaron is just free serotonin.
And at least I’m really hoping everything going better for you in your life and I wish you the best !!! 🧡
it really is free serotonin!!!!!!!
I love all of these things so much (especially Hotch as Emmett in Legally Blonde and Haley as Elle, I’m crying)
he definitely has a full cheering section for every competition and performance (yeah we love competitions in US schools) and he’s always so shocked that anyone came at all
also I am Extremely Soft about Hotch singing to Spencer, he’s probably trying to soothe him to sleep after a nightmare and he just can’t fall asleep and he’s desperate enough to try singing like his mama did.

12. & Juliet | West End | December, 2021 (1) | (LIMITED TRADE ) | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Miriam Teak-Lee (Juliet), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Alex Tranter (u/s Lance), Jocasta Almgill (Lady Capulet/Nell), Chrisopher Parkinson (s/w Lord Capulet/Fletcher), Kirstie Skivington (Eleanor/Benvolio), Antoine Murray-Straughan (Augustine), Nathan Lorainey-Dineen (Gregory). Billy Nevers (s/w Cuthbert), Rhian Duncan (Imogen), Grace Mouat (Judith), Kieran Lai (Kempe), Abiola Efunshile (s/w Viola), Kerri Norville (Susanna)
Notes: Full HD camshot video of Alex's Lance debut! This was my first time filming a video on camera and it definitely shows, but the quality improves as the video goes on. Video starts just after Larger Than Life and is complete apart from a short break in Show Me Love where my camera stopped filming for some reason. Act 1 is mostly clear aside from some heads at the bottom, people moved in front of me for Act 2 but I worked around them surprisingly well
13. & Juliet | West End | December, 2021 (2) LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Miriam Teak-Lee (Juliet), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Alex Tranter (u/s William Shakespeare), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Ivan De Freitas (u/s Lance), Jocasta Almgill (Lady Capulet/Nell), Chrisopher Parkinson (s/w Lord Capulet/Fletcher), Kirstie Skivington (Eleanor/Benvolio), Antoine Murray-Straughan (Augustine), Nathan Lorainey-Dineen (Gregory). Billy Nevers (s/w Cuthbert), Abiola Efunshile (s/w Viola), Grace Mouat (Judith), Kieran Lai (Kempe), Roshani Abbey (Lucy), Kerri Norville (Susanna)
Notes: First known video of Alex as Shakespeare! I'm still inexperienced at filming so shaking, wandering, and some weird zooms are present, but overall very watchable. Act 1 is almost completely unobstructed, Act 2 is filmed around a head in a awkward place and starts 7 minutes early (I pressed record too soon lmao). HD camshot up until just after Roar, with the last 7 minutes plus curtain call filmed on phone and included separately
14.& Juliet | West End | December, 2021 (3) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Miriam Teak-Lee (Juliet), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Alex Tranter (u/s William Shakespeare), Kirstie Skivington (u/s Anne Hathaway), Nathan Lorainey-Dineen (u/s May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Billy Nevers (u/s Francois), David Bedella (Lance), Roshani Abbey (u/s Lady Capulet/Nell), Chrisopher Parkinson (u/s Lord Capulet/Fletcher)
Notes: A cut show with some fun covers on! The first time Nathan and Billy have been on together as May and Francois and the chemistry is amazing. Act 1 isn't the best, fairly shaky at times and drifts around a lot, this somewhat improves for Act 2. A little Billy-centric and occasionally becomes an Abiola/Roshani fancam when Miriam and Jordan bore me in Act 2.
15. & Juliet | West End | January, 2022 (1) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Grace Mouat (alt Juliet), Alex Tranter (u/s Romeo), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), David Bedella (Lance), Jocasta Almgill (Lady Capulet/Nell), Ivan De Freitas (Lord Capulet/Fletcher)
Notes: Good capture of Grace and Alex on together as Juliet and Romeo with minimal obstruction and a little noticeable washout on wider shots. Includes bows and some of the pre-show. Abiola swung on for Grace’s track and also played Vaseline due to a lack of female ensemble members. Ensemble also had noticeably fewer costume changes for unknown reasons. Cassidy had a particularly emotional That’s The Way It Is and Grace was amazing as ever
16. & Juliet | West End | January, 2022 (2) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Grace Mouat (alt Juliet), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Christopher Parkinson (u/s May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Ivan De Freitas (u/s Lance), Roshani Abbey (s/w Lady Capulet/Nell), Billy Nevers (s/w Lord Capulet/Cuthbert)
Notes: Fantastic capture of Chris’ debut as May! Ivan and Chris-centric but there are some nice moments for everyone. Almost completely unobstructed and captures the entire show including bows (apologies for the loud cheering)
17.& Juliet | West End | January, 2022 (3) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Miriam Teak-Lee (Juliet), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Alex Tranter (u/s William Shakespeare), Jocasta Almgill (u/s Anne Hathaway), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Ivan De Freitas (u/s Lance), Roshani Abbey (s/w Lady Capulet/Nell), Billy Nevers (s/w Lord Capulet/Cuthbert)
Notes: Good capture of Jocasta’s full-show debut as Anne! Very Jocasta-centric (I may have gotten a little over-excited about her debut) but all the action is captured well. A few very brief dropouts towards the start due to usher activity.
18. & Juliet | West End | January, 2022 (4) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Miriam Teak-Lee (Juliet), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Ivan De Freitas (u/s William Shakespeare), Jocasta Almgill (u/s Anne Hathaway), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), David Bedella (Lance), Roshani Abbey (s/w Lady Capulet/Nell), Billy Nevers (s/w Lord Capulet/Cuthbert)
19. & Juliet | West End | February, 2022 (2) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Kirstie Skivington (u/s Anne), Oliver Tompsett (Shakespeare), David Bedella (Lance), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Abiola Efunshile (s/w Viola), Jaye Marshall (s/w Margaret), Billy Nevers (s/w Cuthbert), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne)
Notes: Fantastic capture of Kirstie’s last scheduled show as Anne! Occasional obstruction at the bottom of the screen from a railing but completely clear aside from that. This video is a total Kirstie fancam and I’m not even sorry <3
20.& Juliet | West End | February, 2022 (3) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Roshani Abbey (u/s Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne), Oliver Tompsett (Shakespeare), David Bedella (Lance), Christopher Parkinson (u/s May), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Jaye Marshall (s/w Margaret), Billy Nevers (s/w Cuthbert), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne)
Notes: Great capture of Roshani’s last scheduled show as Juliet! Video starts just after Larger Than Life. Shot from the stalls with minor obstruction from heads, I opt for a lot of wider shots here but the focus is still very much on Roshani. Occasional issues with camera focus and washout aside, this is a great video of a great show
21.& Juliet | West End | February, 2022 (4) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne), Kirstie Skivington (e/c Anne), Oliver Tompsett (Shakespeare), David Bedella (Lance), Nathan Lorainey-Dineen (u/s May), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Jocasta Almgill (u/s Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Roshani Abbey (u/s Lady Capulet/Nell), Ivan De Freitas (Lord Capulet/Fletcher), Abiola Efunshile (s/w Viola), Josh Baker (s/w Thomas), Billy Nevers (s/w Cuthbert), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne)
Notes: Crazy show! Cassidy had to come off during Blow due to a leg injury and Jocasta covered some of her lines, with Kirstie taking over the role for the rest of the show after a brief show stop, and Sophie swinging on for her track. I must stress, this is a fancam boot, and I mean it when I say fancam. Sometimes I follow the action, sometimes I spend a whole song zoomed on various actors (more details provided upon request). At times this severely impacts your ability to follow the story and I would not recommend this video unless you know the show well
22. & Juliet | West End | March, 2022 (1) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Grace Mouat (alt Juliet), Jocasta Almgill (u/s Anne), Oliver Tompsett (Shakespeare), David Bedella (Lance), Nathan Lorainey-Dineen (u/s May), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Roshani Abbey (u/s Lady Capulet/Nell), Christopher Parkinson (s/w Lord Capulet/Fletcher), Abiola Efunshile (s/w Viola), Josh Baker (s/w Thomas), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne)
Notes: Decent capture of Jocasta’s third full Anne show! Starts from just after Hit Me Baby due to forgetting to press record. The show was delayed due to problems with the stage, and there are multiple mic/sound issues throughout, particularly in Blow. A fair amount of wandering in this one due to an usher being literally directly behind me for half the show, and less close zooms than usual
23. & Juliet | West End | March, 2022 (2) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Grace Mouat (alt Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne), Oliver Tompsett (Shakespeare), David Bedella (Lance), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Alex Tranter (u/s Romeo), Jocasta Almgill (u/s Nurse), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Jaye Marshall (s/w Lady Capulet/Margaret), Ivan De Freitas (Lord Capulet/Fletcher), Abiola Efunshile (s/w Viola), Josh Baker (s/w Thomas), Billy Nevers (s/w Cuthbert)
Notes: Good capture of Jaye’s Lady Capulet debut, and Alex/Jocasta’s last weekend of scheduled shows as Romeo/Nurse! Slightly shakier than usual for the first act and a half as I messed with the stability settings on my camera, and the view wanders during Problem while I change them back. Act 1 is almost completely unobstructed but one head moves into my shot for act 2
24. & Juliet | West End | March, 2022 (4) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) |
Cast: Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Kirstie Skivington (u/s Anne Hathaway), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Billy Nevers (u/s Francois),Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse "Angelique"), David Bedella (Lance), Jocasta Almgill (Lady Capulet/Nell), Ivan de Freitas (Lord Capulet/Sly), Jaye Marshall (s/w Margaret)
Notes: Good capture of Kirstie and Billy’s final shows as cover Anne and Francois! Both give strong emotional performances. Very minor obstruction from two heads at the bottom visible in some scenes. Video starts in the scene after Larger than Life but is otherwise full
25.& Juliet | West End | March, 2022 (5) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) |
Cast: Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), David Bedella (Lance), Jordan Luke Gage (Romeo), Melanie La Barrie (Nurse "Angelique"), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Roshani Abbey (Lucy), Jocasta Almgill (Lady Capulet/Nell), Ivan De Freitas (Lord Capulet/Sly), Billy Luke Nevers (s/w Cuthbert), Christopher Parkinson (s/w Fletcher), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne), Josh Baker (s/w Thomas), Abiola Efunshile (s/w Viola), Jaye Marshall (s/w Margaret)
Notes: Obstructed 4K capture of the last show for Mel, David, Jordan, and the majority of the ensemble! An issue with my camera caused roughly 20 mins of the first act to have a white blur effect, this is cleared up by the end of Show Me Love. One extended dropout lasting for roughly 2 minutes of Confident due to a medical emergency in the row in front. Aside from this, most scenes are filmed nicely aside from minor wandering. The obstruction, while annoying, is worked around to the best of my ability.
26.& Juliet | West End | April, 2022 (2) | Partial | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K)
Cast: Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Alex Tranter (u/s William Shakespeare), Tom Francis (Romeo), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Keala Settle (Nurse "Angelique"), Julius D’Silva (Lance), Sophie Usher (s/w Lady Capulet/Gwynne), Ivan De Freitas (Lord Capulet/Sly), Benjamin Terry (s/w Thomas), Suki Wong (s/w Viola)
Notes: Decent capture of Alex as Shakespeare! Act 1 is only up to I Kissed A Girl, shot from the grand circle in between heads. Act 2 is full and a much better view from the dress circle
27.& Juliet | West End | April, 2022 (4) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (HD) |
Cast: Zara MacIntosh (alt Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Oliver Thompsett (William Shakespeare), Tom Francis (Romeo), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Cassandra Lee (u/s Nurse "Angelique"), Julius D’Silva (Lance), Rachel Moran (s/w Lady Capulet/Margaret), Ivan de Freitas (Lord Capulet/Sly), Ebony Clarke (Susanna), Rhian Duncan (Imogen), Bessy Ewa (Lucy), Collette Guitart (Eleanor), Carl Man (Gregory), Christian Maynard (Kempe), Alex Tranter (Henry), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne), Rhys Wilkinson (Richard)
Notes: Fantastic HD capture of Zara's Juliet debut! Minor obstruction from one head blocking the right of the stage but worked around well. Minimal wandering and washout and just a few brief dropouts, particularly in the boring scene with all the men because my hand got tired. Full show is captured but the first 5 minutes are filmed very poorly, after the first song I move seats and the quality improves. Act 2 starts about a minute in.
28.& Juliet | West End | April, 2022 (5) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) |
Cast: Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne Hathaway), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Tom Francis (Romeo), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Benjamin Terry (u/s May), Cassandra Lee (u/s Nurse "Angelique"), Julius D’Silva (Lance), Sophie Usher (s/w Lady Capulet/Gwynne), Nathan Louis-Ferdinand (s/w Lord Capulet/Cuthbert)
Notes: Good capture of one of Benjamin’s first shows as May! Occasionally obstructed by my sleeve over the lens but a clear shot aside from that.
29. & Juliet | West End | April, 2022 (7) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) |
Cast: Miriam-Teak Lee (Juliet), Collette Guitart (u/s Anne Hathaway), Oliver Tompsett (William Shakespeare), Tom Francis (Romeo), Christian Maynard (u/s Francois), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Keala Settle (Nurse "Angelique"), Julius D’Silva (Lance), Rachel Moran (s/w Lady Capulet/Margaret), Ivan De Freitas (Lord Capulet/Sly), Jaz Terry (s/w Thomas), Suki Wong (s/w Viola), Nathan Louis-Ferdinand (s/w Cuthbert), Aaron Shales (s/w Fletcher)
Notes: Solid capture of Collette’s debut day as Anne! Mild obstruction, picture starts from after Larger Than Life but is otherwise full. Centres heavily on Collette. I uh… got a bit excited
30.& Juliet | West End | May, 2022 (3) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) |
Cast: Bessy Ewa (u/s Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne), Oliver Tompsett (Shakespeare), Keala Settle (Nurse), Julius D’Silva (Lance), Tom Francis (Romeo), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Christian Maynard (u/s Francois), Cassandra Lee (Lady Capulet/Nell), Ivan De Freitas (Lord Capulet/Sly), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne), Suki Wong (s/w Viola), Rachel Moran (s/w Margaret), Benjamin Terry (s/w Thomas), Aaron Shales (s/w Fletcher)
Notes: Sensational capture of Bessy’s debut as Juliet! Entirely unobstructed for act 1 aside from a bar rarely seen at the bottom of the screen, and shot between two heads for act 2 that are only visible in extreme wide shots. A part of Bessy’s Roar costume fell off and she had to hold it in place for half of the song.
31.& Juliet | West End | June, 2022 (1) | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) |
Cast: Zara MacIntosh (alt Juliet), Collette Guitart (u/s Anne Hathaway), Alex Tranter (u/s William Shakespeare), Tom Francis (Romeo), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Benjamin Terry (u/s May), Keala Settle (Nurse “Angelique”), Julius D’Silva (Lance), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne), Aaron Shales (s/w Fletcher)
Notes: Fantastic capture of Collette and Alex on in their covers together for the first time!. Almost entirely unobstructed, a brief dropout in Show Me The Meaning when the people in front of me get up and again when they return but complete otherwise. I take advantage of this clear view with wide shots where possible but can’t help myself from getting obligatory zooms on Zara and Collette
32.& Juliet | West End | June, 2022 (2) | Highlights | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) | Lasagna's video |
Cast: Zara MacIntosh (alt Juliet), Cassidy Janson (Anne), Oliver Tompsett (Shakespeare), Keala Settle (Nurse), Julius D’Silva (Lance), Carl Man (u/s Romeo), Alex Thomas-Smith (May), Tim Mahendran (Francois), Rachel Moran (s/w Lady Capulet/Margaret), Nathan Louis Fernand (s/w Lord Capulet/Cuthbert), Sophie Usher (s/w Gwynne), Benjamin Terry (s/w Thomas), Aaron Shales (s/w Fletcher)
Notes: Poorly shot highlights from Keala’s last weekend! Includes most of act 1 from the start through to the scene after Oops I Did It Again, and It’s My Life. Video wanders often and is fairly obstructed in places

Some wandering / readjustment and unfocusing throughout. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. Michael was on for Brandon Antonio, Nico swung on for Joe.

Notes: Good capture of the tour’s first week in London! Very little obstruction throughout, a few brief dropouts due to hypervigilant ushers but complete video otherwise. Much of the transformation sequence at the end is blindshot and so some parts are missed.

Notes: Stunning capture of this single night concert! Very minor lens blurring at certain points towards the start of act 1

CAST: Elena Roger (Eva Perón), Maya Jade Frank (Young Eva), Ricky Martin (Che), Michael Cerveris (Perón), Max von Essen (Magaldi), Rachel Potter (Perón's Mistress)
NOTES: Great Capture of the due Broadway transfer from London. Elena is a great Evita, the addition of Michael, Ricky and Max are excellent. A lavish and well executed Evita that was due for a date with Broadway.
3. First Broadway Revival - July 28, 2012 (SunsetBlvd79's video master) vob/smalls
CAST: Christina DeCicco (alt Eva Perón), Ricky Martin (Che), Michael Cerveris (Perón), Rachel Potter (Perón's Mistress)
NOTES: Excellent HD capture of the Alternate Eva. Christina vocally commands the score and thrilling to watch. She really should have had the role full time! Beautiful production and stunning Eva.
4.First Broadway Revival - August 15, 2012 (SunsetBlvd79's video master)
CAST: Jessica Lea Patty (alt Eva Perón), Ricky Martin (Che), Michael Cerveris (Perón), Max von Essen (Magaldi), Rachel Potter (Perón's Mistress)
NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of Jessica in the role of Eva with a fresh take on the character. She brings a great element to Eva, since she is normally in an ensemble track, her dancing flourishes with perfection!

shot around a safety rail, shown in the screencaps. despite the obstructions, the colours showed up beautifully. there are a few blackouts in act 2 amounting to ~5 mins in total due to latecomers and people filming on their phones. a child was kicking me in the head throughout the show so there is some wandering

Notes: First known video of this new musical! This is a vertical phone boot shot from the front row. I forgot to switch to the wide lens so some of the action is missed, particularly on the right side of the stage. Notes: Solid capture of the first performance for the new cast of Hamilton! Some notable obstruction, worked around fairly well. At points I had to lower the camera due to usher presence and so these parts are more obstructed but this never lasts too long. The back of the catwalk is almost entirely cut off by balcony overhang.
9.Hamilton | West End | July, 2022 | Partial | LIMITED TRADE | MP4 (4K) |
Cast: Reuben Joseph (Alexander Hamilton), Shan Ako (Eliza Hamilton), Simon-Anthony Rhoden (Aaron Burr), Maya Britto (s/b Angelica Schuyler), Trevor Dion Nicholas (George Washington), Waylon Jacobs (Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson), Aaron Lee Lambert (s/b Hercules Mulligan/James Madison), Jake Halsey-Jones (John Laurens/Philip Hamilton), Roshani Abbey (Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds), Joel Montague (King George III)
Notes: An attempt at a capture of Maya as Angelica! Starts from the end of My Shot, this video is shaky and follows action poorly at times, particularly in act 2 where some parts are blindshot and I drop out for basically everything involving Phillip. Everything involving Maya is captured well however
10.Hamilton | West End | October, 2022 (2) | RARE TRADE | MP4 (4K) |

Notes: Fantastic capture of Roshani’s debut as Eliza! Some moments are blindshot, particularly towards the start, but all action captured well

CAST: Nick Jonas (J. Pierrepont Finch), Beau Bridges (J.B. Biggley), Rose Hemingway (Rosemary Pilkington), Tammy Blanchard (Hedy La Rue), Michael Urie (Bud Frump), Mary Faber (Smitty)
NOTES: Excellent capture of Nick and Michael who had just joined the cast. Nick and Michael do a great job of stepping into the role and making it their own! Abefore going onto the Broadway 2012 Revival. Unfortunately, The person who plays Judas wasn’t in the role for this capture but, the understudy takes over and gives an amazing performance. Quick dropouts here and there for applauds and etc but, it is very nice capture

Hi! What was your opinion on Derek Klena’s performance as Christian? I know it was his opening performance, but I was just curious lol. Thank you
Also asked in a reply by @cordelia-cardale
Hey!! Ahhh he did SO good, he was amazing for his first performance! I did like Aaron slightly better but I feel like Aaron was born for the role and was also in it for sooo long, but don’t get me wrong, Derek was amazing too. He was honestly exactly what I was hoping/thinking he would do it, you know? Def had Dimetri vibes tbh!
He played the beginning more shy and dorky than Aaron did, Aaron is like just too suave to be THAT dorky you know?😂 like he plays Christian younger for sure, like he really plays into Christian being more nervous at the beginning, which I thought fit him well. I also loved the amount of raw emotion Derek put into Chandelier and Roxanne specially! I honestly thought derek did the beginning half of Roxanne better and Aaron the 2nd half better, but both like absolutely KILL it. I was really impressed with Derek’s/especially for his first one!
Also him and Ashley had great chemistry!!! Much better than Aaron and Natalie Mendoza in my opinion (tho I personally thought Aaron and Ashley had the best chemistry, they were also the first I saw so that may have influenced it haha). But Derek and Ashley’s chemistry is really sweet in this. I LOVED their elephant love medley!!!! And their So Exciting was adorable!
But yeah, if like Aaron HAD to leave, I am SOOO glad they went with Derek!!!!
