Yandere eska hcs🫡(could be anything about her)
Yandere Eska Headcanons
Tumblr media
•Think of how bad Eska already was with Bolin and I think you can get a pretty good picture of what a yandere Eska would be like.
•the betrothal necklace she gives you makes Bolins look like a cheap gumball machine prize. It’s made with only the best materials and is a surprisingly good mix of what she likes and what you’d like. It’s your favorite color and has some pendant or symbol to show who you belong too. That plus the cute little lock are Eska’s favorite parts.
•The only down side is the fact that only Eska can unlock it so everytime you want to bathe or sleep without it you have to ask her to take it off. She’s happy to do it as long as she can stay glued to your side, just to make sure that no one forgets that you’re taken. If you complain about it and compare it to a collar then Eska simply smiles and agrees.
•Eska calls you her pet sometimes. From anyone else it’d probably be derogatory but she means well. The word always drips with love and even a little reverence when she uses it.
•She gives you a lot of gifts. Only the finest water nation wear and things from all over the world. Art and books and everything else that she thinks you deserve.
•Eska wouldn’t punish you. She’ll look fondly on any ‘temper tantrums’ you have. The only thing that would really upset her is if you hurt yourself. The closest she gets to punishing you though is just restraining you until you’ve calmed down.
•There’s no way Desna isn’t also a yandere for you. He’d be platonic instead of romantic. Him and Eska are just so close and they’re always together. Since Eska is always with you by extension so is Desna. He’ll go along with whatever his sister wants so don’t look to him for help getting rid of her.

Kai nodded. “I’m glad…hopefully I can get some time off so I can meet them all too and get to know them. It’s nice to have family to rely on if I need a break from the air temple life…but you and Mako will always be first for a shoulder to lean on. And yeah, I remember her and Tu as well.” Kai said with a smile as he listened to Bolin exaggerate his speech. It was one of the things he really liked about him. That, and Bolin always cheered him up and gave the best bear hugs.
“Uh…mistakes? Which one do you mean? Like hitting on Desna by mistake? Or do you mean the fling with Eska at all?” Kai asked as he leaned against Bolin’s arm as he gestured around and gave his side a poke when Bolin finished. “Say…When we’re at lunch I got something to tell you big bro, don’t let me forget. It's important.” Kai said as he clapped his hands together, feeling oddly nervous about it.
“Opal? You mean that Desna and Eska are here? No, we did some security overflights so I knew about them coming. It’s one of the reasons I’m so busy lately, air bending comes naturally to me, so Tenzin sends me out a lot, compared to some of the others. I don’t mind though, I’m glad it lets me help people and give something back for all the kindness that has been shown to me.”

"I mean, I totally get it. Me and Mako went from, like, zero family members to A WHOLE BUTT-LOAD of them basically overnight when we finally stumbled — hm, no. Crashed? Yeah, that fits better — crashed into them in Ba Sing Se. I'm just glad we were able to get everyone out of there when we could. They all seem happier in Republic City, that's for sure.
"And I know you're super busy nowadays — we all are." It was always a strange feeling to take a moment of introspection, thinking back on how much has happened in just four years. "What I'm saying is: I get it; you don't have to keep up with every little detail, hah. Just don't tell Grandma Yin you forgot." He added the last part mostly as a joke; he was pretty sure most people knew how dramatic his grandmother was and she wasn't afraid to say what was on her mind.
"Hit on them? Pfft." Bolin couldn't help but scoff a little. "Trust me, little bro, those days are waaaaaaay behind me. Looooooong gone. That Eagle-toad has flown the coop soooo many moons ago." He crossed his arms then swept them to the side to emphasize his point. "I'm grown now. I've learned from my mistakes." Bolin donned a faraway gaze and raspier voice as if to tap into his mover star-mode. "And I ain't goin' back to that life." He quickly dropped the act with a hearty laugh. "But really though, that whole thing with Eska wasn't as deep as I thought it was back then." With a pause, he side-glanced at Kai. "Did Opal tell you about Eska or something?"

Imagine another of Korra's cousin. They're not like Desna or Eska. But a pacifist! (Katara but shy)
Basically they have an air nomad personality while being a water bending prodigy.
Just imagine Bolin being wary bc of his past experience with Eska but then reader is like a total sweetheart ajdbwjcj I can ramble about this forver bc I have an OC that's that lmao I love Bolin too much
Author: The pain, I love it!
______________________________
Imagine, as Korra's cousin, attending a Water Tribe festival, and meeting up with Korra. It was great to see her because you weren't able to go to the last one. Also, Korra said she was bringing someone she wanted you to meet.
You waited at the dock as the boat from Republic City began unloading the passengers. "Korra!" you called to her when you found her.
"Y/n!" Korra ran down to greet you. After catching up, Korra told you, "I can't wait for you to meet my friend, Bolin. He's a silly guy with a heart of gold. Actually, where is he?" Korra looked around.
Then you saw Bolin, trying to carry as many suitcases as he could. He finally caught up, "See, Korra? I told you I wouldn't fall!" Bolin set down the suitcases, saw you and introduced himself. "Hi, I'm Bolin."
You shook his hand and introduced yourself.
"Y/n is my cousin," Korra told Bolin.
"Eep!" Bolin froze, you noticed it semeed to be a response to the word, 'cousin'.
Korra wasn't sure what was up with Bolin, but after greeting you, she said she would help Bolin get settled in, then catch up with you after. You agreed that it was a good idea, the cold can be quite a shock to people, but he seemed nice enough that you hoped he would be able to join you soon so you could get to know him.
When Korra caught up to you, she had some more info as to why Bolin was acting this way. Once you heard about Bolin and cousin Eska, it impressed you that Bolin was alive at all. Cousin Eska wasn't that bad, but that was a little joke between you and Korra.
Korra told you more about Bolin, his adventures around the world, how nice he was to everyone, and how positive Bolin stayed in almost every situation. The more you heard about him, the more you were excited to meet him, and hopefully ease any concerns about meeting another cousin of Korra's. Korra had compared your personality to air nomads before, you weren't sure if she meant it in a teasing manner or as a compliment, but it felt like it would help Bolin to not be nervous.
Korra let you know that Bolin agreed to meet you both at the festival tonight, despite his worries.
That night, you and Korra walked to the festival, and saw Bolin sitting at a table withe his fire ferret that Korra told you about, Pabu. Korra spoke in a way to help ease any tension between you and Bolin. Bolin opened up more, and you were less nervous. Until, the inevitable happened, someone came with a message for Korra letting her know that her father needed her help with something. Korra knew how awkward it was going to be for you and Bolin, so she apologized to you, ouside of earshot of Bolin, and she said she would hurry back as soon as she could.
There was an awkward silence. Bolin was playing with Pabu, but he worked to make sure he wasn't ignoring you. You had only started to learn about Bolin, so you didn't know what was a good conversation to start.
Thankfully, Pabu was showing interest in you and was starting to like you.
"Well if he likes you, I like you," Bolin joked nervously.
Hearing that both relieved some tension and also made you a little extra nervous because you had no idea what to say back, so you just smiled back at Bolin. Pabu accepted your scratches, and crawled into your lap.
Bolin apologized but you let him know it was okay.
"Wow, you must be a pretty wonderful person if Pabu likes you that much that fast!" You knew Bolin was realizing his expectations about you were not accurate.
You wanted to help confirm that, and using your water bending felt like the best way to do that. You gathered some snow beside you and formed it into a ball and other shapes that excited Pabu and helped him show his playful side.
Bolin was impressed with your water bending and asked more about how you honed your skills. You shared how you wanted to help people, even if it was children or little animals suffering from boredom.
Throughout the night, Bolin hadn't noticed, but he sat closer and closer to you as he felt more comfortable with you.
Korra finally showed up and apologized for being gone for hours. Time flew by so fast that you and Bolin didn't even notice that Korra had been gone that long.
Korra pulled you aside, "Is everything okay? You guys haven't even moved from this spot."
"It's going great! Bolin and I are actually meeting up tomorrow."
Korra was so happy for you, and excused herself for the night since everything was going so well. It was finally late enough that Bolin offered to walk you home.
At your doorstep, Bolin let you know how great of a night he had and how happy he was to meet you, then paused for a couple minutes, "May, uh, may I kiss you good night?"
It made your heart jump, and you said yes. It was a simple peck, but your smiles showed how happy the kiss made you.
"I can't wait to see you tomorrow, good night," Bolin said.
You hurried to bed to get plenty of rest, tomorrow was going to be a great day.

"Oh wait can you make one abt Eska already being a mother and her child is tryin to get her uncle to find her an aunt. Basically the reader is Eskas childs fav person outside of the palace and wants Desna and the Y/n to get together."
Child's name is Callipso
Requester: @grim-shinigami-reaper
Done and done😎
I hope you like
Tumblr media
Callipso loved going outside the palace to see you, You were a worker outside of the palace. You water building was beautiful and graceful to watch and the sculptures you make would mesmerize the child.
But what Callipso loved most was when she caught you and their uncle outside of the palace.
It didn't matter what you were doing together, it was all in the way he looked at you. She could tell that he liked you but couldn't understand why he didn't just say anything, but she was determined to see you two together in the end.
Operation: 'get uncle desna and Y/n together' is a go.
Callipso had wrote a fake letter for desna to deliver to you.
In their mind the perfect way to make desna to try and make him say it.
"Uncle Desna do you like Y/n." Callipso appouched the man while he was walking the borders of the palace.
While Y/n was in ear shot of course😎.
"Why are you asking." He said trying to keep his cool but Callipso knew her uncle well and could tell he was a least a tad bit flustered.
"Just curious."
"Curiosity killed the cat. Go away." with that he spead off into the unknown leaving Callipso frustrated. But Callipso isn't one to give up.
Her next attempt she went to you.
"Hello mx. Y/n. I was wondering if you liked Uncle Desna." She popped the question of the day as you flushed red.
"I- um... I guess it depends on what you mean like cause I like him but as a friend. He's a good guy you know what I mean." You could ramble on and on about how you felt about him but to a child that was just to embarrassing, but she listened nonetheless.
It gave her another away to get you two together.
*the next day*
Callipso put her plan into motion as she say you and desna having a conversation outside of the palace.
Running up to them, she had the perfect plan to get them together.
"UNCLE DESNA, Y/N HAS A CRUSH ON YOU." Callipso yelled running past with the biggest smile on her face as you and Desna stop in your tracks blushing madly.
Needles to say, her plan worked cause a few days later she caught the two of you kissing.

The Myth of Y/N (Korra x Reader UNREQUITED) Part 13
BONDS
Y/N'S POV
I can feel the slight ray of sunshine on me as the dawn begins. I am standing out on the plain white field as I take in the scenery before me, trying to remember all of the details. Not going to lie, I feel pretty nervous. While it will be great hanging out with Tenzin and his family, it still doesn't change the fact that I'm going to be the only Team Avatar member there. Oh well, maybe its for the best. It's time I be more independent after all, plus I think the distance between Korra and I will allow her to cool off. Besides, she's got the rest of our friends for support and her uncle as her spiritual mentor. She'll be fine.
As I try to take in all of the scenery, I feel big arms surrounding my waist as I am lifted up into the air with a tight embrace.
"I'm gonna miss you so much, Y/N!" I hear Bolin shouting, his voice drowned by what sounds like crying.
Oh no, if he's crying then I might cry too.
"Hey, Bolin, come on." I calmly tell him as a form of comfort. "This isn't a goodbye forever or anything. I'm only going to be gone for a short while, or even sooner than that. I'll be back before you even notice I'm gone."
I hear the earthbender quietly sniffing as he gently places me back down. I turn around and see his eyes red from crying, with tear tracks evident on his face.
Oh spirits, please don't cry.
"I know." Bolin solemnly agrees. "But Team Avatar won't be the same way without you!"
Dammit, I see tears blurring my vision a bit.
I wipe my small tears away, and give him a warm smile. "Thanks, man. Team Avatar will be back together soon. Try not to get into too much trouble, and please stay away from Eska."
Bolin wipes his own tears away and sends me a smile of his own. "Heh, don't worry, I'll be fine with the Eska situation. Try not to get too bored at the temples."
I chuckle at his joke. "I won't."
We both embrace into a even tighter hug, dragging the moment out as long as we can.
"I'll miss you." I whisper.
"I'll miss you too." he sends back.
We both let go and behind Bolin I see Korra, Mako, Asami, and Kyuni approaching us.
I walk up to them, sending them a teasing smile. "Bet you're all here to celebrate once I'm out of your hairs, right?"
Everyone, with the exception of Korra, chuckles at my joke.
Kyuni rushes and embraces me into a fierce hug, even tighter than Bolin's. "Please be careful, you idiot."
I chuckle at her light-hearted insult and reciprocate her hug. "It's just temples, Kyuni. Nothing dangerous."
She pulls back, staring right into my eyes, and chuckles. "You know what I'm like."
The firebender kisses me on the cheek and walks away to Bolin. As I clear my throat and attempt to ignore the flush of my cheeks I walk up to Asami. As we embrace into a hug and pull back I place my hand on her shoulder. "Asami, you hold all of the braincells of Team Avatar. Make sure you keep an eye out for them, okay?"
Asami giggles in response, amused by my joke. "I will. Have fun."
I nod and walk up to Mako. "Hey, can we talk alone for a bit?"
The cop looks confused by my request but relents, and we walk away from the rest of our friends. As we get out of hearing range from them, I place a hand on his shoulder and give him a serious look. "First off, look out for Bolin with the Eska thing, okay? Trust me, she's bad news."
The firebender nods at my request. "Yeah, I will. Korra said something similar to me yesterday during the festival. I'll keep an eye on them."
I hum in approval. "Good. And, I know I don't need to tell you this, but also look out for Korra. I know she can be frustrating at times, but she'll need you now more than ever."
"Of course." Mako immediately responds. "I wouldn't be a good boyfriend if I didn't look out for her."
I ignore the knots tightening within my stomach and let go of his shoulder. "Thanks, man. I'm gonna miss you."
Mako sends me a small smile. "Gonna miss you too, Y/N."
We both clasp our hands together and nod at each other in response to our words.
After him and I let go, I finally walk up to Korra. She is still not looking at me, her gaze focused on the snowy floor. There is a slight frown on her face but I can see that her eyes contain a hint of sadness despite her attempts to hide it.
"So," I begin slowly, processing over what I should say next, "this is goodbye for now."
Korra looks away, the back of her head facing me. "Yeah, bye." she says, her voice rough and sharp.
I sigh. Dammit. I hope we could at least leave on good terms.
"Yeah, goodbye." I reply with utter melancholy and walk away from her.
Dammit. I hoped that we would at least leave on good terms.
"Y/N? We're ready."
The voice snaps me out of my thoughts as I turn to see Tenzin, the rest of his family on Oogi behind him.
I sigh, and look back to everyone. The tears I'm trying so hard to fight have long since won the battle as they are pouring down my cheeks.
"See you later, everyone." I tell them, my voice croaky from the tears.
Everyone except Korra waves me bye as I hop onto the saddle on Oogi with the rest of Tenzin's family. As the bison flies into the sky and my friends get further and further away, I feel a wave of uneasiness wash over me.
You got this, Y/N. You got this.
TIMESKIP
It took ages to reach the Air Temple but it looks like we are finally here. I didn't speak much for most of the ride as I was trying, and failing, to fall asleep. Oh well.
I gaze into the distance and, as the clouds slowly disappear, I see the ever approaching Southern Air Temple, former home of Avatar Aang. And what a sight it is. A huge tower reaching to the tips of the sky, vines and the rest of Mother Nature surrounding the buildings as their greenness brings even more life to the buildings around them. It's beautiful, no wonder Avatar Aang loved it so much.
"There it is," Tenzin announces to all of us, his excitement present, "the Southern Air Temple! Isn't it magnificent?"
The Air kids squeal in excitement, jumping up and down in joy. I chuckle at their antics and at the corner of my eye I see Bumi and Kya doing the same.
I turn back towards the temple and marvel at its beauty. "Yeah...it is magnificent."
Oogi finally lands at our destination and we all begin to get of him. I begin stretching my arms and back in relief. Damn, I have been sitting on the seal for too long. Whilst Tenzin, Pema, and their children begin greeting the Air Acolytes residing the temple, I start helping Bumi and Kya carry all of the supplies and luggage we brought with us.
Kya passes us the final bits of items, but it is too heavy for Bumi and I. Seriously, what did Tenzin pack in these things? If I carry any more I feel like my arms are going to fall off!
Bumi notices our struggle too as he glances at an Air Acolyte near us. "Excuse me, a little help here."
The Air Acolyte turns to face us, broom in her hand, with confusion painted across her features. "Sorry, I thought you were the servants."
...
Seriously? For real?
The retired commander and the healer's face scrunch up in annoyance and no doubt my face does the same too. Bumi speaks up, frustration dripping in his tone of voice. "Servants?! This young adult right here is the Chi-Blocker Y/N and the Avatar's best friend, and we're Tenzin's brother and sister!"
The Air Acolyte leans forward immediately, her eyes wide and jaw down to the floor in shock. "Avatar Aang had other children?! The world is filled with more airbenders?!"
That pisses me off a bit and I lean forward myself. "No, they're not. You're talking to a retired commander of the United Forces and one of the best healers in the world! Show some respect!"
The Acolyte jumps back, her face flushed with embarrassment. "I-I'm so sorry! I meant no disrespect! Let-Let me help you with that!"
I pass her a couple of the luggage and she immediately begins to walk away from us, quickening her steps every second.
I sigh at the scene before me as I rearrange some of the objects I'm carrying. I turn back to Bumi and Kya. "Sorry about that."
I see their faces have a hint of surprise in them but it quickly vanishes. "It's alright." Kya nonchalantly tells me, waving her hand around. "We're used to it."
My eyes widen at that revelation. No way this is true, surely. "Seriously? That happens a lot?"
Bumi sighs heavily. "Very rarely, but it does happen. Tenzin was and is the more famous one out of the two of us, he always had the spotlight."
I notice a hint of jealously and frustration in his tone. "I know this is not any of my business but...are things okay with you two and Tenzin?"
The two siblings trade looks with one another and then back to me. "Yeah, mostly." Kya finally responds.
I raise my eyebrow with doubt. "Mostly?"
"Well," Bumi draws out, hesitant on what to say, "it's just Tenzin always had the most attention from our dad out of the three of us because he was an airbender."
My eyes widen at this. Avatar Aang had favourites? No way.
"Avatar Aang favourited Tenzin?" I bluntly ask them, curious to know the answer.
The sibilings eyes widen at my question, perhaps out of shock of my bluntness.
"No, no, no!" Kya quickly responds. "Not exactly. We know he loved us all equally and we mostly had a good relationship with him, but he often took Tenzin on trips without us and paid most attention to him because of Air Nomad stuff. It made Bumi and I sometimes feel like...afterthoughts."
"Oh." I mutter in response. I see Bumi and Kya's faces with a hint of sadness. "Well, does Tenzin know?"
Bumi sarcastically laughs at my question. "Please, he still thinks our father could do no wrong. He thinks he was some perfect angel."
I frown at this. So Tenzin doesn't know any of this? Damn.
"I see." I simply respond. "Like I know I said this is none of my business, and I won't interfere or anything, but maybe later you should talk to him about it?
I instantly regret asking that since I have no right to but in to their business, but thankfully it seems like Kya and Bumi really listened to me as they trade looks again. "We'll think about it." Kya finally replies after what seems to be a long-minute of silence.
I nod at the healer's response and turn to look at Tenzin who is talking to the Air Acolytes.
Looks like Tonraq and Unalaq's complicated relationship isn't the only family drama present after all.
LATER
I am currently walking around the Temple with Tenzin and Jinora and seeing so many interesting things about Air Nomadic Culture. We were shown the games Air Nomads used to play like airball. Apparently Avatar Aang was a master at the game and bested Chief Sokka when they were kids during the Hundred Year War. We also went to where the Bisons were kept and how they were treated. They're so cute!
I snaps out of my thoughts as we enter a room full of statues.
Wait...is this what I think it is?
"Wow. The Statue Room." Jinora lets out, amazement in her voice.
"This is the room of all the previous Avatars, right?" I ask the airbending master.
"You are both correct." Tenzin confirms. "The most sacred place in the entire Southern Air Temple. Here you will find all the statues of every Avatar who ever lived."
Amazing. I look up and see that the statues go on for ages and ages. Damn, how many Avatars were there?
I glance at my right and see that Tenzin is looking all over the place, eyes wide as ever. "Jinora, where are your brother and sister?!"
Oh yeah, where did they run off to-
Suddenly I feel a gusts of wind right behind me, as I turn around and see Meelo and Ikki racing each other on air scooters. Oh dear, this will not end well.
Meelo, on the other hand, thinks otherwise. "You can't catch me! I'm the greatest air skater of all time!"
As soon as he finishes his sentence, however, he immediately collides with a statue, breaking a portion of it instantly.
Shit! That can't be good.
"Meelo!" Tenzin lets out and rushes over to his children to deal with the situation.
I chuckle at the whole scene playing out before me. I look back at my right to joke about it with Jinora, only to see her walking up to...
To Avatar Aang's statue. Jinora's grandfather.
Ah.
I slowly approach the young airbender who appears to be staring at it a lot. Odd.
"You okay, Jinora?" I ask her.
Looks like she was zoned out or something because my question startles her back into reality, and she turns to look at me, surprise in her eyes.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, Y/N. I'm fine." Jinora quickly responds and proceeds to look back at Aang's statue.
I stand next to her, observing the statue with her. "Is this the first time you've ever seen your grandfather's appearence?"
"No." Jinora replies. "Dad showed me an old picture of Grandpa Aang during the early years of Republic City. I just didn't think he would be so tall."
I chuckle at her point. Yeah, if these statues are accurate to the Avatar's height then yeah, Aang was really super tall. "That's a fair observation." I remark. "I saw a picture of Avatar Aang with his friends in a book I read once. They looked really happy."
Jinora hums in acknowledgement. "Dad always said that while he always took his duty as the Avatar seriously, he always carried a smile and a sense of fun with him whenever he was with his family."
My mind flashes back to what Bumi and Kya said about their...complicated...relationship with their father. I shake my head of those thoughts. I shouldn't get involved in another family's affairs like this.
"Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to meet your grandfather?" I ask her, curiosity in my voice.
Jinora looks down for reasons I do not know. Finally, she responds. "At times, yes. I...no, it's stupid."
I tilt my head in confusion. "No, no. Go on. I'm sure it's not stupid." I reassure her.
The young airbender takes a deep breath and then lets it out. "I sometimes wonder if...if he would be proud of me or not."
I tilt my head in confusion even more. "What makes you think he won't be proud of you?"
"It's just Grandpa Aang got his tattoos when he was twelve years old." Jinora responds, her reluctance evident in her tone of voice. "I'm nearly at his age and I'm, I don't know, just worried that if I don't get my tattoos at his age then I wouldn't be good enough or something."
I mouth slightly opens in surprise. Wow, I never knew she thought of herself like that.
"Jinora, you are amazing at airbending" I respond with confidence. "Tattoos or no tattoos, that won't change anything. Did your father get tattoos when he was Aang's age?
Jinora still looks doubtful. "Well, no. But-"
"-No buts." I interrupt her. "Look, I don't know Avatar Aang but, from what you told me and from what I read and heard from others, it sounds like he would be proud of you no matter what. You and your other siblings. He wouldn't care if you didn't get tattoos at his age."
The young airbender looks hopeful, and that hope transforms into confidence and gratitude. "Thanks, Y/N. You are really good with this advice stuff."
I chuckle back and send her a small smile. "Yeah, I know."
She snickers at my response and we remain silent for a moment.
"So..."Jinora starts again, but this time it has a hint of mischievousness, "you and Kyuni, huh?"
Seriously?
I groan loudly at her question and look up at the ceiling. "We are not having this discussion."
Jinora laughs at my response. "Really? I see the way she looks at you."
Wait what?
I snap back at her with wide eyes. "She...she looks at me like what?!"
"Oh, so now you're interested?" Jinora replies whilst simultaneously smirking.
I scoff at her question, my annoyance growing. "Just answer the question."
She chuckles again, clearly amused by my reaction. "If you haven't noticed Kyuni's love eyes at you then you really are oblivious."
I gape for a bit, and then close my mouth. "You're joking. You got to be."
Jinora smirks again. "If you say so. But, if I were you, I would make a move as soon as possible."
"I don't like her like that! First Korra, now you!" I exclaim, my frustration at its peak.
"Sure." The young airbender sarcastically replies, her amusement growing.
I sigh heavily and drag my hands down my face. "You know, you are just as much trouble as Meelo and Ikki!"
Jinora's face warps into somewhat of a half-offended look. "I am not!"
I chuckle at the tables turning. "If you say so." I say, throwing the airbenders' words back into her face. "Seriously, you act all nice and then you-"
I stop myself mid sentence in reaction of...something. I don't know how to really explain the feeling but...it's like there's some...force...surrounding me. And that force is pulling my attention to-
"-You feel that, too?" Jinora asks me, concern in her voice. Huh, looks like she feels it too.
I nod slowly, and we both turn our heads towards what this...force...was pointing at...
At...
At what?
That force...it's gone.
That was...weird.
"What was that?" the young airbender asks me, curiosity and nervousness intertwined.
I stay silent for a while. What the hell was that?
"Ah, there you two are."
We both turn to our sides to see Tenzin along with Ikki and Meelo, the latter slightly injured from crashing into a statue. "Jinora, I'm going to take Meelo to your Aunt Kya to heal him and Ikki is coming too. Do you want to come with us as well?"
I see Jinora glancing at me for a split second at the corner of my eye before giving her attention to her father. "I think I'm going to stay for a bit longer."
Tenzin nods at his daughter's response. "Very well. Y/N, would it be fine if you keep an eye on Jinora while she's looking at the statues?"
I flash a thumb's up to the airbending master. "Of course it would be fine. No trouble at all."
I see Tenzin's face soften slightly, obviously grateful with the action. "Thank you. I'll see you two in a bit."
When Tenzin, Meelo, and Ikki finally walk just enough out of ear shot, Jinora turns to look at me. Its clear she is just as curious and slightly freaked out as I am about what just happened. Seriously, what the hell was that?
"Do you have any idea what that was?" Jinora asks me.
I stroke my chin as I try desperately to come up with a answer...but I got nothing.
"I have absolutely no idea what that was." I simply telling her. No point lying about it.
The airbender sighs in frustration at the situation. "Should we tell my father about this?"
Hmm. Now this is...complicated. Normally I would tell Tenzin, but what would we say? Hey, Tenzin, I felt some weird force pointing me somewhere but all of a sudden it disappeared? Oh and Jinora felt it too? We would look bit strange. Plus we have no idea what it was.
Finally coming up with an answer, I turn back to Jinora. "I think it would be best if we kept this to ourselves for now. Not only we have no idea that that whole thing was about but we would look crazy. If it happens again then we'll tell him."
Jinora looks slightly surprised initially by my response but then relaxes. "Yeah, okay. I think that would be for the best."
I nod in confirmation. "Great. Now lets get out of here. This place is starting to give me the creeps a little bit."
We both start walking out of the room. We thought we were going into this room looking for new knowledge...
...but instead we left with nothing but questions.
LATER
Justice
No, not again. Please not again.
JUSTICE
Please, don't do this.
JUSTICE
No! Not now!
PEACE
NO!
ONLY JUSTICE WILL BRING PEACE!
I leap forward out of my bead, sweat all over my face and my heart racing.
Dammit. Not another nightmare. This is the seventh time in these past six months.
I close my eyes and try to take deep breaths in order to calm myself. Breath in, breath out. Breathe in, breath out. Breathe-
I stop my actions entirely.
I feel it again.
That...force. That...pull I felt earlier today, stronger than ever before.
Okay, now it's getting even weirder. Its time I investigate this.
I exit my small bedroom and beginning following that pull, only to find a few moments later that Jinora is doing the exact same thing, as I see her walking down the hallway up ahead.
"Jinora?" I quietly call out as I try not to wake the others up.
She stops and turns around, and the sleepy expression on her face morphs into surprise. "Y/N? You feel it too?"
I nod in confirmation. "Yeah. This is getting really weird. Let's just find whatever this thing is pointing at."
This force leads us right back to the statue room again. However, unlike last time, it leads us to a specific Avatar statue. And...it looks pretty unique compared to the rest. Not only does it look extremely old but it appears that the Avatar is surrounded by loops, similar to the water loops Unalaq created to calm the spirit, and behind it there's a...kite? I don't know. But whatever this kite is it has an eye. A spirit, maybe? Did this specific Avatar have a greater spiritual connection compared to the others?
I hear Jinora gasp next to me. Looks like she saw it too.
"What Avatar is this?" the young airbender asks me, her surprise still evident.
I walk closer to it, inspecting every element of the statue. "I'm not sure. It looks a lot older when compared to the other statues."
I try and look for a name or something to indicate who that was but...nothing. Seriously? Who makes statues of Avatars and doesn't include their names? Whose idea was that?
Suddenly, out of nowhere, the statue begins to glow a bright gold colour. I jump back, shocked and amazed by the scene playing out before us. Jinora is spell-bounded, locked in place as she gazes at the statue.
Then, just as soon as it began, the glow vanishes, and the statue is back to its lifeless state as before.
What...what the in the spirits just happened?
Jinora and I look at each other with wide eyes, mouths open.
"What just happened?" Jinora asks, speaking up after what seemed like an eternity of silence.
After recovering from...that, I reply to her question. "I...I don't know. But that...force...led us to it. It wanted to show us this statue. That statue has to be connected to it."
Jinora hums in agreement. "Yeah, I think you're right. Should we tell my father about this?"
I stay silent for a while, thinking over the best course of action. I am having a meditation session with Tenzin later on today, actually. I think that's the perfect time to tell him about everything.
I nod as a response to her question. "I'm going to tell him later on at my meditation session. Hopefully he will be able to answer our questions. For now, let's just not mention this to anyone. Okay?"
"Okay." Jinora simply replies, her decision quickly made.
We both look at the statue one more time and then walk back to our respective rooms.
There is something going on here. This isn't some normal spiritual stuff. Something big is coming, I feel it. And it looks like Jinora and I are connected to it somehow. But why? And what for?
I just hope we find out soon...before it's too late.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And that's it! Once again, thank you so much for the patience! I really hope you enjoyed the latest chapter! Constructive criticism is always appreciated.
See you all in the next chapter! :D

A little continuation;
"You?"
"Yes."
"Wanna be in my project. The thing im writing."
"Correct."
"You are aware it's a musical right? N-not that I'm doubting your vocal skills, you just don't seem like the type to wanna burst out in song is all."
"Yes, Verrick said something similar to me, when I expressed my desire to participate in one of his movers. He thought that I struggle to emote. Will that be a problem for you?"
Rather then be intimidated by his fellow royal, Wu smiled as an idea came to him.
"Actually? not at all! as a matter of fact, I think I have the perfect character for you to play, your Majesty."
"Pleaee, your highness, we're friends. You can call me Eska."
"Alright then, call me Wu."
Asami had alreday agreed to be his Azula long ago, so now he just needed to find a -
"Secret tunnel, secret tunnel, through the mountaaaaains!" He heard a chorus of voices singing with one rising clear above the rest.
It was Bumi with Tenzin's kids, and the clearest, prettiest voice?
Jinora.
Tai Lee? Check!
This concept album is gonna be PERFECT!
I'm literally obsessed with this idea omfg help
I saw a Wu post you reblogged and it mentioned that on supplemental content it's revealed that Wu was in republic city for a degree and me being me couldn't shake the idea of that degree being in musical theater. Am I projecting my own wants amd desires on my favorite blorbo? Yes a little bit, but also look at him. Come on. So this idea is in the back of my mind for the past few days and then just now I'm listening to a song from that fan project of atla as a musical (I'm honestly not sure how many more songs they've made) and I'm like. Heh, what if Wu wrote that musical. Then i go no. No this is just as a silly thing, I'm not serious about it... but then I imagine him actually singing this, and singing it well, while playing it at a piano and.
Gods DAMN I want it so bad. I mean can you imagine him asking former fire lord zuko himself about what his sister was like so he can WRITE about it?
Insane.
Idk, I feel like it has the potential of being the anti Ember Island play, something genuinely good with all its sources thoroughly checked and vetted and every living person featured in the story consulted and given explicit permission to use their likeness.
I also just generally like the idea of Wu being a composer? I recall the joke about his singing being that its awful and I wish that weren't true but if it is then I think he should be a good composer at least. Just has a terrible singing voice lol.
Anyway that's all, let me know if I'm sending too many of these btw I just enjoy your responses a lot!
AAAAAH Wu being in a music theater program in RCU is actually a great idea. Being a composer or writer totally tracks for me. His lil rhymes he came up with while singing on the spot were actually delightful and clever!!! I love his silly badgermole songs and I don't think his singing voice is too shabby either!
Oh my god to that song though what a fun fan project. Wu is well versed in history (citation ruins of the empire) so yeah! He could make the anti-ember island musical retelling of Aangs adventures why not!
You are not sending me too many asks. I feel like I'm annoying begging people to interact with me lol but seriously please send me all your Wuko thoughts I love talking about these guys!!!
(for anyone wondering the supplemental content referenced is from the Avatar Legends TTRPG Republic City book idk if you guys have noticed but I'm kind of obsessed with Avatar Legends lol)

If I Lost You
(Boleska, TLOK, hurt/comfort, modern AU where Bolin is a boxer)
“I’m fine, really!” Bolin insisted, as Eska searched frantically through the medical box. “Accidents happen all the time in boxing.”
Eska ignored his protests. “You’re bleeding,” she muttered, a tinge of panic in her voice. Bolin grinned.
“This? It’s just a scratch!”
He peered closer at the cut on his forearm. “Quite a big scratch, actually...”
With trembling hands, Eska washed away the blood and carefully applied a bandage. After she was finished, Bolin turned to head back to the ring, but Eska caught his shoulder.
“You should take better care of yourself!” she snapped.
“Baby, I don’t see why you’re making such a huge fuss.” Bolin argued. “Look, I’m fine!”
“You don’t get it, do you?” Eska was practically yelling now. “People care about you, Bolin! I care about you!”
“Well, you certainly have an odd way of showing it!”
Eska rolled her eyes.
“You could’ve been seriously injured. Or even worse...”
She trailed off, her voice unusually wobbly.
“I’ve already lost my father. If I lost you, I wouldn’t know what to do.”
A tear rolled down her cheek and splashed onto the floor, followed by another. Bolin was shocked. Eska never, ever cried.
“Baby...” he murmured, wrapping his arms around her and holding her close. Eska buried her head in his chest, her tears soaking into his shirt. Bolin stroked her hair. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I’m so sorry.”
After a while, Eska finally managed to pull herself together. Eyeliner running down her face, she gazed forlornly up at her boyfriend.
“It’s me who should apologise. I overreacted.” Eska told him. “But when I saw you lying there, it... it triggered some difficult memories.”
She glanced down, her cheeks darkening. Bolin took Eska’s hands and held them tight. He felt strangely protective of her after her rare outburst of emotion.
“You don’t have to apologise for anything,” he replied firmly. “I promise I won’t scare you again.”
He bent down to kiss her softly on the lips. Eska closed her eyes and let her worries melt away, just for a moment.
“Cmon, I’m taking you home.” Bolin announced. “We can watch a movie and get takeout? How about noodles? I know they’re your favourite.”
Eska smiled despite herself. Bolin was so charming, it was impossible not to.
“I’d like that.”

Are you okay?
"Bolin i'm fine." She said with a light sigh. She could never understand his worrying nature.
"But you, baby you had a freakout for no reason at that little shop." He said frantically. "Is something happening?"
"Nothing is happening." Okay yes.. She might have busted out crying in a store for no reason but their walk home shouldn't remind her of it. It was just.. Crippling stress.
She didn't know. Eska had been through a lot recently. With her father dying due to an accident, her unable to decide what to do with her life, and just everything.
But it had been months she.. Eska was lost most definitely. Nothing to put more to it.
"Eska don't lie to me please, is this about y'know.. Your dad?"
"Father passing away hasn't affected me anymore."
"Eska.." He sighed hard.
"What do you want me to say Bolin? I'm just not feeling too well, spirits!"
Bolin walked closer and took her hand. "I know. That's why I'm worried about koala.. You just had a breakdown and you know I care about you. I just want you to talk to me."
Eska always had her walls up, even around her charming sweet boyfriend. But right now..
"I just feel like I never got to connect with him anymore after my mother died." She finally sighed as she sat down on a bench, Bolin soon sitting by her.
"It's just.. Hard. I guess you know how that feels though.."
"Yeah I do. I can relate to you in some ways." He said "But it's also different. So I can't sense how you are truly feeling." He said as he held her hand.
"You.. Why are you so sweet?"
"I just want you to know I care."
Eska sighed again, feeling a few tears bubble up. "Thank you."
"You know I love you Eska."
"I do know. You know I love you?"
"Forever and always."
Eska smiled, maybe genuinely for the first time in a little while. He made her feel better.
He made her feel loved, which was all she ever needed.
Short ficlet, hurt/comfort. I know Unalaq and Malina dying isn't too delved into but I really just wanted to write and this is what I did. Enjoy.

lok trolls au
😭😔 listen blame my little brother who made me watch trolls like a million times, my idiotic brain, this post that started it all, and simran for this im so sorry y’all /lh
[under the cut because oh boy this got so long i hate it here]
first off we begin by saying don’t question the plot like eesha? why are korra and asami the bergens? how does this even work? i have no idea, plot doesn’t exist in my brain so yeah now here we go!
wu is poppy, as a happy-go-lucky prince, willing to spend his days singing and scrapbooking
and mako as branch, the outcast troll who lives alone and is wary and practical and doesnt like singing
(please i cant explain the plot of the movie “trolls” to you guys im so sorry)
let’s start with poppy (wu)’s crew
creek (the yoga dude who betrays them) is SO kuvira
glitter dude is kai (except less nakedness? idk thats a void in my memory i hated that so its gone because wow thats so weird)
cooper, that weird animal thing that poops cupcakes is bolin
the fashion twins (satin and chenille) are eska and desna
biggie or the big dude with the worm is uhhhh the airbending crew (ikki, jinora, and meelo) because i love my airbenders and the worm is an air bison
dj suki, or the...you know the dj is,,,,,,,not here
fuzzbert, the troll that doesn’t even talk is iroh ii purely becuase i need my aroace king somewhere in this au
smidge is just ,,,,,,,,all of the beifong kids, instead of smidge we have the iconic wei&wing, wonderful opal, and huan beifong (the only beifong kids that exist ❤️)
literally just the entire pop trolls population is the earth kingdom
and now the bergens? that’s what they’re called right?
the chef, or the main villain is president raiko
the king, king gristle sr. (i know, i dont like the fact that this information is at the top of my head either) is asami’s dad, hiroshi
so asami is technically king gristle jr. (and you know what? no she DOES get the job done but she can’t not listen to raiko so yeah)
korra is bridget, the maid who works under the chef, and admires asami from afar
THE WEIRD HELPFUL/UNHELPFUL CLOUD IS VARRICK CHANGE MY MIND
good? good now moving on to the songs
like just imagine the entire opening song (idk what it’s called) with the entire earth kingdom like
Tumblr media
[ID: a screencap of Princess Poppy from the movie, Trolls. She is running under a handmade, colorful, curved bridge formed by the two lines of trolls’ hair. She is smiling, with her arms wide open in glee. END ID]
also “get back up again”? with wu
Tumblr media
[ID; a screen cap of Princess Poppy from the movie Trolls. She is dirty and roughed up, standing with her feet apart, holding what seems to be a yellow venus fly trap open, with a determined and triumphant look on her face. END ID]
this is so wu please
the rollerblading song?? with korrasami??
Tumblr media
[ID: A screen cap of King Gristle Jr. and Bridget in a rollerblading rink from the movie, Trolls. They are rollerblading, Bridget in a rainbow wig and pink jumpsuit, rollerblading backwards and pulling King Gristle Jr. who is dressed in his normal attire of blue shirts, a red and white striped shirt, and a kingly cape. They are smiling wide at each other. END ID]
“true colors”?? that’s a wuko song (god i hate that) like branch getting his color back and mako getting,,,,,something back
Tumblr media
[ID: A screencap from the movie Trolls. In the screencap, Poppy and Branch, who has gotten his color back, are the main focus as they stare at each other and hold hands. Cooper’s head is visible in the side of the frame, with his eyes closed, playing the harmonica. In the background, all the other trolls can be seen END ID]
wu, mako, the gang, and the entire earth kingdom dancing “can’t stop the feeling” to korra and asami? unparalleled
Tumblr media
[ID: a screencap from the movie Trolls. in the screencap, Poppy and Branch can be seen with their arms raised up in a dance move, smiles on their faces, while the rest of the trolls watch. END ID]
anyway that’s it for this folks because one, this is all my brain can come up with and two, for the sake of my sanity i will stop here
once again im so sorry <3

Driving in Legend of Korra
@kiyomizuki and I were talking about how different characters would drive because we were wondering what would happen when/if Bolin learned to drive and this was the result
Disclaimer: as queer people ourselves, we went into this knowing that gay people can’t drive and also that it’s a joke, this whole thing is a joke
The Krew
Korra can’t drive because she’s gay (bisexual but the point stands)
Asami can drive the best out of all of them, but she also likes to drive fast, so she’s maybe not the ideal teacher
Mako can drive well but he has no patience on the road. If he’s “cool under fire” when bending the stress has to come out somewhere and that somewhere is ROAD RAGE
Bolin can’t drive because he’s Bolin (sorry Bolin, but this is funny)
Pabu is banned from the front seat on Mako’s orders after he jumped onto the steering wheel and almost killed them
Naga can’t even fit in a car, but yes she absolutely would hang out the window with a blissful doggy smile
Republic City & Air Temple Island
Wu doesn’t know what a steering wheel is. Just kidding, he actually knows a ton about cars (rich kid thing?), he just can’t drive
Lin can drive, but where do you think Mako picked up the road rage from? She’s used to car chases where saving the car is low priority and she can hang out the window throwing rocks at people
Bumi can drive, but no one’s ever seen him do it and they don’t believe him when he says he can
Kya claims she can’t drive or do math because she’s gay. Bumi drives her places, but she also perpetuates the “Bumi can’t drive” rumor
Tenzin knows how to drive in theory, but he’s been traveling by sky bison for so long that his knowledge is useless
Pema is one of the the few safe drivers Korra knows. She’s a mom, so this is correct
Kai and Jinora drive like your average high schoolers on their learner’s permits (badly, but they’re trying their best)
Ikki is a distracted driver who blasts music, but it’s good music
Never put Meelo behind a wheel ever
Rohan’s a baby, he can’t drive
The Metal Clan
Baatar Sr. is a good driver too. I can’t tell you why, he just seems like a safe driver.
Suyin is the LoK version of a soccer mom with a minivan and shit music taste, don’t give her the aux cord (we love her, but seriously, don’t)
Baatar Jr. has road rage worse than Lin and Mako’s. He also drives Huan places to answer for his war crimes
Huan doesn’t give a fuck about cars until Ikki suggests painting them. He goes on a two-week-long spray painting spree with the Zaofu jeeps
Opal knows how to drive, but she hasn’t driven since she became an airbender, so she’s a useless driving teacher. She told Bolin she couldn’t teach him and there was a terrifying week or so where he went to Wei and Wing before Pema and Baatar Sr. intervened and took over
Wei and Wing are a danger to the public behind the wheel, near-Korra levels of Bad. Every grocery run is NOT actually a race, but you wouldn’t know it based on their driving
Kuvira can drive, but she doesn’t do it often because she says it ruins her aesthetic. She knows how because it’s a useful skill, she just doesn’t and it pisses Baatar Jr. off to no end
The Gaang
The only person worse at driving than Korra is Toph. Yes, she has attempted to drive on multiple occasions, and no it was not a good idea
Even Zuko is a better driver than Korra, and he’s gay and half-blind. He has a dragon though, he doesn’t need cars
Aang never learned to drive and he’s fine with that, he has Appa
Sokka is a decent driver, but just bad enough that you notice. He definitely takes corners too fast and merges lanes like an asshole, but he’s a better driver than Toph and Zuko so you take what you can get
No one thinks Katara can drive but she’s pretty good at it. Maybe a little slower as she’s aged, but she’s average. Tenzin is jealous
Suki is a good driver. She knows the rules of the road, follows them when necessary, and also will drive down empty highways at 95 miles an hour because she’s just that cool
Water Tribes
Tonraq can drive a snowmobile but not a car? He seems fine with it
Korra: dad you need to learn to drive Tonraq: on what road
Varrick can drive, but he doesn’t listen to the rules of the road and he blasts fuckboi rap
Zhu Li drives, mostly, because she’s a law-abiding citizen
Eska and Desna have a chauffeur
Fire Nation
Does Izumi drive? We’ll never know
Iroh II has only ever driven military jeeps. He can drive a getaway car, but he doesn’t know what a traffic light means. He can drive boats and planes though (drive isn’t the word but I don’t know what the word is)

My thoughts of the legend of Korra characters before watching the show (I'm gonna start today!!)
Thoughts before watching | after season 1 | after season 2 | after season 3
Korra: all I know is that people either love her or hate her and there's no in between. I know she cant airbend(?) And there's smth with her and the spirit realm or smth idk anyway I like her design she looks real tough and like a really strong headed lady which would give a nice contrast for the soft Aang we had before. Other than that I love girls so yk
Jinora: she looks so soft and sweet!! When I fanart and stuff of her I bust an uwu! Long story short i love her already!!
Amon: idk I mean I only know his mask which is a good mask it looks sinister. I dont really know anything about him so
Tenzin: he looks like one of those dads that get stressed out when the tiniest thing goes wrong. Though, yk, when you're the only air bender (???) I guess things will get stressful. He does look kinda soft though like yk I wanna cuddle him
Mako: very atractive. He looks like he been through some shit like yk hes a bit of and ass but with a soft side I think he'll be interesting to get to know
Bolin: soft boy. Probably accidentally gets in trouble all the time. Anyway I'm in love with him
Kuvira: I've actually never seen this character before in my life but I like their smile
Asami: THIS IS THE GAY QUEEN RIGHT IM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE WLW THING that's the only thing I know. That and the fact that she appears in my dreams all the time
Zaheer: looks like the dude who could shoot blasts from his head but he doesnt have that eye thingie so. Maybe hes a bad guy? Love his eyebrow slit though (maybe he shoots blasts from there??)
Eska: her eyes are so light. Maybe shes blind like Toph? Bc Toph's eyes were also this light? She looks like a bad guy?
Kya: grey queen. Looks like a sweet mom. Maybe a soft lesbian? Would love.
Lin: Beifong?? Toph's daughter perhaps? She definitely looks like a lesbian. Shes fierce. I'll p5obably love her
Opal: looks like Korra with short hair. She looks so soft!!! I want to hug her
Wan: hes the first avatar?? Stylish hair.
Bumi: hes Aangs son but he cant airbend? Hes a non bender I think. But I saw a gif set where he discovers he can air bend so we'll see
Suyin: Also Toph's daughter? Get it Toph! She looks like a sweet heart. Her hair is so so stylish!! I love her
Unalaq: looks like a daddy. I've never seen him before that's all I got. But hes got daddy vibes
Meelo: I know what he looks like, but I dont know what he sounds like. And that's what scares me. He looks like Aang a little?
Varrick: has no picture on the character list so I don't know who this is
Pabu: I WOULD DIE FOR HIM WHAT A SWEET BABY BABY
Pema: definitely a mom. Shes pregnant? Married with Tenzin. She looks sweet
Hiroshi: he looks rich. Rock that mustache my dude!! You go!!
Tonraq: his face is really square. He kinda looks like the dude who plays aquaman?? I think he might be bad but I'm kinda attracted to him anyway...
Desna: there's 2 of her? Is this the person without arms? Bc shes fierce
Saikhan: mean grandpa vibes
Shiro: he looks joyful. Maybe hes like that dude in the library? He just is super smart and wants to learn more??
Senna: SHES SO PRETTY!! WHO IS THIS!!??? So sweeett
Ikki: she looks sweet? I dont know who she is but maybe a princess?
Tarrlok: he looks evil.
Naga: there's no picture but is that Korra's animal??? BECAUSE I LOVE HRR ANIMAL I WANT THEM
Anyway I'll do one of these every season I watch?? I'm very excited to finally watch this!! It finally came to Netflix NL

The Black Crow
Chapter 2  A/N: I went off with all these words lol. A little bit of backstory thrown throughout.  Word count: 4877 Warnings: Violence, gore, descriptions of blood
Myomel was in sight, the changing leaves falling around my galloping wargs and myself, the guards at their posts near the front gate. Halting to a stop, I received warm welcomes from my old friends.  “Creosa iant Mellon!(Welcome old friend)” Calanon greeted, a warm smile spreading across his face. I dismounted quickly to embrace my dear friend. My arms wrapped around the cold steel of his armor as I smiled and was whisked from my feet.  “Aminaya elea lle anta!(I should see your face)” I joked as he dropped me to the forest floor once more. Removing his helmet, I reveled in the familiarity of his dark skin tone. His glimmering eyes, the shade of dark, starry night; his cheeks blushing the color of a pink rose he once gifted in friendship. Smiling at each other, I embraced him once more.  “Uma lle brien somethien? (Do you bring something?)” He asked as we stood by the gates, my wargs now playful pups among friends in the city. I nodded and hummed, extending the Caragor’s tusk.      His smile faded quickly.  “Caragor?” He asked, taking the tusk to examine it closely. I nodded again, explaining to him how I came of it.  “Y' witcher?” Calanon prodded further.  “Uma. (Yes)” I confirmed, looking around at the fallen leaves amongst us.  “Ta il- tulunka. (It would not steady)” I said, my hands picking up an oddly shaped grey stone that fit into the palm of my hand. Calanon chuckled, returning the tusk to my hand.  “I' witcher? (The Witcher)” I scoffed.  “I' caragor.” I corrected. He shook his head with another bright smile.  “Lle atar naa eska. (Your father is home)” My heart skipped a beat with overwhelming joy. “Ro wishes a' elea lle. (He wishes to see you)”     With Calanon’s words I was off to see my father once more. Galloping through the empty streets, the fellow beasts roared, barked, howled, and pulled at their chains at us. Around the corner, father’s own beasts stood on hind legs unleashing a booming roar. Hod yipped and howled once I dismounted with the Caragor’s tusk. Our beasts rustling around the property with each other. Opening the door timidly, I announced my presence.  “Atar?” I called out.  “Tinu?” A hopeful voice called stepping into the hall.       My father stepped into view; a short man with only 6 fingers and tanned skin, his soft brown eyes wet with tears. I nodded and ran to him, embracing him in a tight hug.  “Atar, amin brien y' gift. (Father, I bring a gift)” Kneeling before him, I presented the tusk. I knew his emotion would be disappointment; killing animals in Myomel was seen as a sin worthy of a heavy punishment. Dropping my head and closing my eyes, I felt the weight lift from my hands.  “Tinu.” He whispered.  “Sut ume lle tul a ed' sina? (How did you come by this?)” He whispered examining the dreadful gift.  “Brinegulf.” I mumbled, my chin beginning to quiver.  “Caragor?” He asked, moving around me to sit at the table. I moved with him, nodding.      I sat down, the small chair creaking under my weight, my father's eyes now ballooned in size as he gaped at the sharp tusk.  “Nae ta mith ri' mor? (Was it gray or black)” He asked in a hurry.  His brown eyes looking up at me then flashing back down.  “Mith (Grey).” I said, my arms crossing over my chest.  “Nae lle ereb?(Were you alone)” I shook my head.  “Eller nae y' witcher. (There was a Witcher)” Father looked up at me, his hands dropping the tusk and grabbing my hands. His eyes flashed black, no white in sight as he spoke in common; a language unknown to him. “Three people traveling. Tracking dangerous beasts, you will have to face the hardest decision of your life. Your people are in danger so long as you know this Witcher.”      Father’s arms shot out to his sides and his head dropped behind him, his jaw was slack as his premonition left him as soon as it had started.  “Atar?” I called gently, moving from my chair next to him to hold his hand. As I had grown, Father’s premonitions had their truths; I learned from a young age to never ignore the spirits' words and to always thank them for their wisdom. He found me as a child, wandering through the woods. Quickly, his eyes returned to normal, his hand tightened around mine.  “Atar?” I asked once more, he nodded his head with a small smile.  “Lasta a' i' ooma.” He said, patting the back of my head as I rested my head on the back of his hand.  “Amin anta utu- ner wargs. (I need to find more wargs)” I told him honestly; father nodded his head and took to his feet, moving about the small house to grab his book.      The book laid between us; the pictures of all animals moving about either in herds or by themselves.  “I' witcher naa travelien Rhun. (The Witcher is traveling East)” I informed Father who looked at me once more with his sweet brown eyes. “Lye can il- lava ho san- ner coia. (We can not allow him to take more lives)” Father said. I nodded while watching the herd of wargs traveling through the woods. I thought of the best way to meet them; traveling back towards Brinegulf, I could cut them off in the woods with some help from the members of my clan.  “Esta sina undome, lye mista tul're amrun. (Rest this evening, we roam tomorrow morning)” Father said, closing the book and preparing dinner.      I sat on the chair by the kitchen, my eyes playing tricks on me; seeing a small, black haired child with gleaming eyes of love as father taught the child to cook. His face was still as gentle as the day he brought me home, his smile was soft, welcoming; father hadn’t aged as I had. My eyes began to water as I watched the two laugh and joke as the little girl learned his language and the new world around her.  “Mankoi naa lle cryien? (Why are you crying)” Father asked, grabbing my hand to soothe me.  “I' fea nyara amin en' iire amin nae y' hin. (The spirit tells me of when I was a child)” Father wiped the tear that had fallen onto my cheek and placed it on his cheeks; a tradition usual for parents with children blessed by the spirits of the forest.      While father cooked our stew, I told him of what the spirits showed me and how much those times meant to me; Father rejoiced in the memories of those times. We spoke as we welcomed the animals into the barn for the night; Hod and Kav cuddling together for warmth while Father’s beast grunted as she rolled onto her side, exhausted from the days roughhousing. Father tucked me into bed as he used to, his hands tucking me tightly into the sheets as he told me a famous story of the spirits of the forest and how they brought me from the sky. The smell of the sweet, sharp cedar of the house filled my nose and swirled around my head, the sounds of the sleeping animals in the barn nearby rolled throughout the house, my full, warm belly only aiding in the exhaustion now helping to close my eyes as I fell asleep in my old bed.       In my dream, I saw the Witcher; his white hair and gold eyes, his pursed lips as he yelled at me about my beast’s; how they cost him his coin, how they could’ve gotten him killed. I retorted with how he stole my coin the first time our paths crossed, how he caused me to lose the caragor. The dream ended with a slap then a kiss. But not from the Witcher, from the spirits. I shot up from my bed; the darkness around the room folding me back into bed, now is the time to catch. Father’s light footsteps trodden around the house before he knocked on my door, the smell of dragon's breath wafting through the house. “Naa lle desiel? (Are you ready)” He asked. I nodded with an excited smile; breakfast went down in a flash and we were off. The six of us ready to tame more beasts for Myomel.      We cut off the small herd as I had thought; running around the herd, separating them into easier tameable amounts. Hod and Kav surrounded the two wargs, circling them with the fur of their backs sticking straight up; their jaws open and chomping if they attempted to run. The two different colored wargs had their tails between their legs, their teeth a marble white showing their youth. Approaching slowly with extra amounts of dragon’s breath, I held out my hand; Kav snapped at the paw of the silver warg who cried as he stepped back into the circle, lifting the injured paw while he knelt down to lay on his side in submission of the older, stronger Warg.  “Look at me.” I told him; his golden eyes shooting towards me. His lip lifted slightly to reveal his white teeth. “Are you hungry?” I asked moving closer, Hod snapped at the black warg, his teeth pinching the back of the neck. The black warg was tossed back into his place, Hod lowered his head; his aggressive stance overpowering the young warg who was attempting a challenge.       Reaching forwards to the silver warg, he attempted to snap at my hand; snapping back, I stood up straight and pushed my shoulders forward. Dropping his lip, he sniffed at the air; his ears resting on his neck. I stepped forward once more, extending my hand for him to smell. The silver warg sniffed gently; the air around my hand turned cold as he sniffed the licked at the calming dragon’s breath in my palm.  “Good.” I praised allowing him to eat the sweet treat from my hand. Hod barked and snapped as the young black warg charged at him. His back toes spread out to hold up their weight as they battled each other for dominance.  “Kav.” I motioned with my head for her to help Hod tame the youthful beast. My wargs had the young beast on his back with his jaws snapping at their throats or feet, leaving trails of blood and slobber in his wake. Hod’s jaws shook as he hovered over the slowly defeated beast. The silver warg, now realizing I wouldn’t harm him, rested on his side watching the show beside us.      He looked back at me; the golden eyes shimmering in the growing sun. Reaching out to scratch the fluffy chin of the youngling, his eyes closed as I scratched the delicate skin under his mouth.  “Come.” I said, pulling more green dragon’s breath from my pocket to get him to his feet and following. I stood to the side, watching the black fur of the youngling shake as he fought against my two wargs who I had gotten on a similar adventure. Finally paying his head down in exhaustion, his spotted tongue dangling against the green grass while his eyes closed in final submission. The silver warg sat on the grass next to me; I made sure to leave a pile of the dragon’s breath while I established the bond between the black warg and myself.      I stepped forwards, red dragon’s breath in my hand.  “Watch the other one.” I said to Kav who ran to sit next to the young male. Kneeling next to the black warg’s face, I stretched out my hand. Taking the offering quickly, Hod jumped to the side; his tail wagging. Petting the thick fur on her neck, she opened her eyes once more; her pupils dilating, a bond.  “Good.” I praised the black warg with a smile and more red dragon’s breath.  “Come.” I announced as I walked towards Kav. She stood still for a moment as I mounted. Setting off towards Myomel, our traveling hoard now triple the size of before. Calanon welcomed us with a smile and a bowing head, the members of the city stood by their gates with their children happily celebrating as our group proudly walked by. Reaching out to me was a small child, a blue flower in his hand; his eyes were as green as the leaves surrounding the city.      Nodding my thanks, I placed the blue flower on Kod’s head, behind her ear. Hod kept a close eye on the young wargs that walked on the inside of the road, the more experienced wargs closer to the edges of the fences to protect the men, women, and children. The wind blew weakly, my black hair being pushed behind my shoulders; the wargs sniffed the air, their ears forwards in attention. Looking behind me, the young wargs pranced up beside Kav for handfuls of dragon’s breath.  “Y' beleg unity. (A strong unity)” One of the members of the community said with a smile on his face; heavy scarring across his face, a proud tamer commenting on my skills. I dropped my head and pressed my hands together, my fingertips touching my forehead. A sign of respect amongst us few; he followed my movements, respecting me as well. Kav and I continued towards our home with our new possibilities of hunters, guards, riding scouts, or even breeders. Father dismounted his large beast; round and dark in color, a large cone shaped head with a drooping bottom lip that exposed it’s pink and black gum.      His three wargs seemed older than mine, their purpose would serve as guards; I followed father into the barn with excitement.  “Lye naa findien n'ner ar' n'ner. (We are finding less and less.)” Father said opening the stalls in the barn. I nodded.  “Atar, amin can il- stay.(Father, I can not stay)” I told him, gently petting the silver warg who closed her eyes as she panted and kicked her hind leg. Father stopped to look at me; his mouth closing in shock.  “Eller naa ner n'e Rhun. (There are more out East)” He said brushing his new animals.  “Atar,” I started while stepping over to him, “Amin will entula. (Father, I will return)” I told him, placing my hand on his arm. Father looked up to me with a small smile, hopeful while being sad.  “Amin mela lle.” He said wrapping his arms around my torso. I smiled as I rested my head on the top of his head.  “Amin mela lle.” I repeated.      I spent another night in my childhood home; another dream from the spirits of the woods of the Witcher and my animals, a strange man and woman, and a blonde child of royalty. Father had packed more food, coin, and dragon’s breath to aid in taming the beasts of far lands. Having four wargs was a drastic improvement; the two young wargs having to earn their names as we traveled together. The young wargs learned quickly, picking up on habits from their mentors and myself. Stalking being the black wargs favorite, trapping and chasing being the silver wargs favorite.      Today would be the first day of their riding training; the silver warg being first, Hod watched intently as I slowly mounted the smaller beast. He shook uncomfortably, his feet shuffling awkwardly. I praised the young beast, reaching forward to give him the green dragon’s breath which he took with unbridled glee. Hod clapped his teeth, catching our attention; he was correcting him. Smiling to myself, the two wargs working together made my heart swell with pride. The larger black warg was more of a challenge; she would attempt to roll and buck, trying anyway she could in an attempt to rid her back of me. Father taught me well, how to hold onto the wargs with my thighs and the areas of fur that would not hurt them simply remind them of their direction.       Kav growled, her head dropping low to the floor as she licked her dripping teeth. The young warg whined as she attempted to roll again, pulling her to the left; she moved hesitantly; surely her confidence would grow over time. I dismounted, extending my hand with a palm full of treats. She refused the treat which worried me. My heart sunk, I immediately fawned over her; checking her stomach for digestive noises, checking her coat for dehydration or symptoms of illness. Her wet nose poked around in my pocket, reaching for the smell of red dragon’s breath.      The five of us traveled around, collecting coin for taming the beasts of towns as Hod, Kav, and I had done for many years prior. On the outskirts of Blaviken, a sharp smell of hot shit and blood burned through my nose.  “Kav.” I said, cringing at the lingering smell. Her bright face lifted into the air as she followed the scent to the side of a small lake. The four wargs surrounding me growling and snarling, their jaws clamping and opening to reveal their unraveling tongues. I looked around, checking for tracks nearby; deep holes burying themselves among the sand filling with water. Bubbles popped as they erupted from the water; a tall grey beast outstretching it’s spider-like legs, underneath was a wide man with shoulder length white hair.     A quick stab from the Witcher into the beast's gut caused it to flail it’s wretched spindles. The witcher was as white as snow with eyes as black as coal. The young, eager black warg launched itself onto the face of the Kikimora; the Witcher pulled his sword from the beasts chest, black blood falling polluting the water around them as it squealed and cried. The grey skinned Kikimora fell to the Witcher’s feet who then raised his sword to the black, snarling warg. I whistled loudly, bringing the four warg’s to my side; the Witcher licked his lips as he readjusted the handle of his sword in his gloved hand.      The wind blew around us; wafting the smell of the Kikimora into my hood. The witcher and I watched each other in silence; he panted heavily as he dripped with water prepared for more fighting. Hod stepped next to me, his head turning to rest on my shoulder.  “What are you doing here?” He asked, lowering his sword. I stayed silent as the five of us watched him, observing his every move; how he sheathed his sword, dragged the massive Kikimora from the water onto the shore between us almost as if it’s an offering. Nearby a small doe lay on her side, panting heavily from the fresh wound that would take her life in some time.      The white haired man strode over, speaking softly to the poor animal before ending the suffering of the poor animal. My wargs and I stayed nearby, observing the Witcher while he dragged the dead creature towards the edge of the forest; his chestnut gelding stood calmly and quietly as he tied the Kikimora carcass to itself then rested it on the back of his horse. I remembered the words of the spirits; how he would put all of Myomel in danger. I weighed my options, attempting to kill the Witcher would bring further problems, there was no option to stay around him, I had to stay as far away from him as possible; his kind was nothing good.      The Witcher glanced back towards the edge of the woods once more as he walked towards Blaviken in silence; the four warg’s watched with perked ears and bright eyes as the Witcher turned and walked away once more, his face now returning to normal color. Turning back to the forest, I found the carcass of the doe. I buried the small, lonesome creature and praised the spirits of the woods; the smell of the Kikimora dissipated for a moment, a sign from the spirits. I stood and mounted Kav, we all took off through the woods, deeper East. A vision appeared before me; a man in white, long black hair, standing before our path.      Stopping before him, he revealed his face; a ball of white light blinding me for a moment before fading into a face I recognized. My father stood before me, a gleam in his eye and a smile gracing his face like flowers in a field. His arm reached up, his tan index finger pointing behind me towards Blaviken. Furrowing my brows, I was supposed to stay away from the Witcher, I was supposed to keep him away from Myomel. “Auta a' ho.” The voice was different from my fathers; deeper, strained as the words escaped from between his brown lips.  “Amin uma il- rangwa. (I do not understand.)” I told him, his smile widening as his hand never fell.  “Auta a’ho. (Go to him.)” He repeated.      My wargs stood calmly, before turning after father outstretched his left hand to rub the cheek of my mount. I faced the other direction, Kav’s feet moving slowly back towards Blavikin; I turned to see my father’s face once more, only, he was gone. A spirit had come to me, given me an order that I was to follow. I sighed heavily, a breath of white smoke chasing the heat from my lungs. The walls of Blaviken stood tall and proud, high above my head, in dark grey stone. Dismounting, I stood beside Hod and Kav, the two younger and smaller wargs followed obediently behind us.      The entrance was void of any people, silent and still despite the warming torches on either side of the gate; the quick wind blew ashes against the cobblestone ground. The wind blew on my hood covering my face, hiding my identity, as the cold breeze pushed us further into the city. I dug deeper into the city, hearing joyous voices announcing items for sale, the smells of food and drink and of the barn nearby, clashing of the blacksmith’s tools in his small work space. I looked around, searching for a sign of the Witcher or a sign from the spirits. The crowd was thick, careless as they nearby bumped into my beasts.     They would leap back with apologies as the whispers came, surrounding me at every angle; questions on who I was, where we came from, how my people could so easily tame the beasts among the lands. The people of this town walked besides us, observing the large mounts that stood taller than some of them. A young girl approached, walking besides me reveling in the warmth of Hod’s side. She attempted to reach her hand out, to gently touch the beast. “Do not touch him.” I demanded, tilting my head slightly towards her.      Her hand dropped to embrace the other as she continued to walk with me.  “The Black Crow does speak.” Her chipper young voice said. I nodded in silence once more. “I saw you run passed, why return?” She asked.  “The spirits ordered me to.” I replied slowly; unsure of how she would react. “Good thing they did, we have a beast who must be tamed. Where would you take him?” She turned her shoulders in an attempt to gain a look at my face.  “What beast?” She tilted her head with a hum.  “Can not say, my father knows; I can take you to him, he can tell you where.” I thought on the offer, looking around aimlessly for any sign of the spirits, but they had all left me; they pointed me in the direction, perhaps this is why I was here.       The young girl took me to a large, wooden door; a deep feeling in my chest, a feeling of magic nearby.  “What is this?” I asked, turning to her. She shook her head.  “I can not feel it nor see it. Like you and the Witcher.”  “He was here? Is he in there?” I asked, my hands touching my wargs rough fur. She nodded, babbling on about his kill and what they spoke of. My eyes darted around the surrounding area, looking for the chestnut horse he walked in with. Spotting it, I smirked. The spirits brought me to this place, this moment, but I couldn’t think why.      I was suddenly reaching out towards the gate, touching the magic before it; I walked through, it was a cold wash of air that transferred into the warmth of the sun. Everything was different; the smell of fresh citrus and the summer air, the sounds of birds chirping and fluttering their wings as they flew in the open space overhead.  “Ah, Warg Rider.” A gentleman's voice welcomed me. Two sets of footsteps setting towards me; the first eager, the second more hesitant to follow the first man. My hand was stolen from my side, a quick peck on the back of the cold skin.  “Drop your hood, you’re in knowing company.” The older man said, I kept my head low for a moment; I could only see the white hair that fell shortly from his chin. The man dropped my hand, which I used to pull my down to rest on my tensed shoulders. The thick wool opening to reveal the brightness of the sun. I could only wince against the light, then look around the room; beholding naked women pulling fruit from the full branches of thick trees, the tall, broad Witcher standing but a few feet away. His face in slight shock as I revealed my face.  “My name is Stregobor.” The ruffled haired man said walking back towards the Witcher.     He told me of how the Witcher and I served the same purpose with the same odd request; to kill a woman named Renfri, a woman born under the black moon. I inhaled sharply at the request, going against the spirits could prove fatal.  “I understand how this may be difficult for you, Warg Rider, your people have never killed a living thing unless proved truly necessary. But might I assure you, this is truly necessary.” He looked at me, his brows lifted in truth. I nodded slowly, silently praying to the spirits for forgiveness.  “This will be my coin.” The Witcher said, his eyes closed as he slowly looked at me, his jaw tightly clenched. “You’ve taken my coin. I take this coin.” I replied, I expected the sounds of my wargs but none came; I looked around me once more in confusion.      The Witcher crossed his arms over his chest, ignoring my statement for the returned coin. The conversation was over before it had begun; I had all I needed, the description of the woman and where she last stayed. I made my way out of the magic room back to my beasts who yipped excitedly to see me as I tugged up my hood once more.  “I saw your face, you know.” The girl said, holding my foot while I adjusted myself on Hod’s back. Smirking down at her, the young silver warg approached my side; his teeth peering from between his black lips.  “No. You did not.” The five of us traveled through the woods once more, smelling for any sign of the woman.      Stopping suddenly, I caught a strong smell of smoke from a fire nearby. I climbed the tree nearby to follow the smell unnoticed, the branches slightly falling under my weight then relaxing as I jumped to another. From tree to tree, I climbed and chased the smell through the pine trees. I saw a small fire warming the thoughtfully rotating food of the Witcher, close to his horse as it slept. A twig snapped nearby, alerting us to the presence of a woman; the woman I needed to kill for my coin. I looked back to the intrusive Witcher, his gold eyes peering up at me through the branches of the trees.      I waited for my moment to kill her with a single arrow, but had no way to take the body from the man before her. I retreated to my Wargs to wait until the next morning to claim my coin. The Witcher did not take my kill to take my coin; why should I be better than him. I was enveloped in the warm, coarse fur of my animals as I was taken by the spirits through another dream. The woman with short brown hair, large eyes, and cream skin, she fought almost as well as the Witcher and I. The Witcher would not claim the coin. A demon with a large head and sandy colored skin, short curled horns above its head, a voice and blight flash of light. “Posada.” My father's voice echoes through my ears as I sit up still among the snoring animals. The day was grim, death lingering in the air around us like we were trapped in a room filled with fire. I moved carefully, each step calculated as I reentered the city; it was absent of all sound now.      I went to find the old man, collect my coin the Witcher stole from me, but the magic was gone; the door now just a block of wood planks and metal hinges. Cursing to myself, I made my move in order to follow the spirits.      Towards Posada.

LGC ACCESS INTERVIEW / ESKA BOTTLED WATER
He is suffering from a serious case of imposter syndrome when he shows up on set. He knew that he was far from a model, and there were other trainees more worthy of being in his position. He had shied from the modeling workshops when he was a trainee for a reason. He preferred being behind the camera, and there was a sense of awkwardness when he saw himself on the monitor. His only saving grace was the genes his parents gave him. He wasn’t cocky about his looks, but he knew that he was at the bare minimum photogenic.
Perhaps, that was the reason Eska had stuck with him, but he could feel his stint of being a model for the water company coming to an end. When he was a trainee, he hadn’t known how important those classes would have been to him. He wanted to be a performer, but brand deals helped a lot with being recognized.
Not to mention, the amount of money he received from a solo contract versus a group contract was much better. For the new year, his goal would be to be more comfortable in the camera and if possible, work up to getting a second contract with another company. It would require a lot of work, but he enjoyed a challenge.
His photoshoot required an interview with LGC Access. He wonders what kind of questions he would be asked considering the company was selling bottled water and not something more exciting like a food product or apparel. His mood had been lifted after the snack break, and he welcomes all the questions that he receives from the interviewer with a smile.
“What do you like the most about modeling for Eska Water?”
“My generation knows the importance of being responsible for the waste that we create in our everyday lives.” He had his doubts about whether modeling for a bottled water company clashed with his morals, but after some consideration, he could answer the question with honesty. “While a lot of people are moving away from plastic bottles to use reusable water bottles, there are times where you have no choice but to purchase bottled water. Some people don’t have the access to clean water and can only use bottled water. For those reasons, I commend Eksa Water’s commitment to using 100% recycled plastic for their water bottles.”
“Also,” He adds with a faint smirk. “I was told that staying hydrated helps with having healthy, clear skin, and our survival depends on drinking water whether or not we want to believe it.”

Fate’s Divergence Chapter 2

Hey guys, here is the next chapter. I used a Tel’Quessir translator for this universe’s Elvish.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Dragon Prince
-----------------------------------
Rayla opened her eyes, feeling incredibly groggy. She vaguely registered she was being held gently to someone, and she wondered if her mother was carrying her after seeing them with the Dragon King.
She remembered how mighty her king was, but how gentle he treated her as she pestered him with her attention and questions. The Dragon Queen was amused how her mate doted on the young moonshadow elf. Rayla considered being in their presence, just interacting with them, a high honor, which her parents proudly shared.
The young elf recalled the Dragon King had sensed something was off, and her parents urged her to stay hidden with Runaan as their king and them went to dispose of the threat. However, Rayla, being Rayla, naturally disobeyed and hurried after them, Runaan hot on her heels. Runaan would often tell her her stubbornness would’ve gave him gray hairs if his hair wasn’t already white.
Through her foggy mind, she was able to remember the humans fleeing away from her king. She’s never seen the Dragon King so merciless. It scared her. Her king was going to murder people who were defenseless! Something seized her then—she must beseech her king to give them mercy!
Rayla remembered the woman grabbing her, putting a knife to her throat—
Rayla’s eyes came rapidly into focus then. She saw she was on top of a horse, pressed against a woman. She started shaking, her violet eyes tracing the familiar armor up pale skin towards a gentle face. The woman seemed to have realized she had woken up for she focused her brown eyes on her, worried.
Rayla took her in, her breath quickly shortening. She glanced around in a fast manner, taking everything in at once. There were other humans, some of them riding horses while others walked. They were carting some of their wounded as well. Rayla’s eyes scanned everything before she came upon what they were transporting.
She recognized the magma titan’s heart, its radiating heat unmistakable. Her heart pounded intensely against her rib cage. They killed a magma titan. They ripped its heart out.
“Are you all right, little one?” the woman’s voice asked—her kidnapper’s voice.
Rayla didn’t answer, instead knocking herself off the horse, making the creature startle. The human woman called her, and some other humans eyed them, but Rayla wasn’t registering any of it.
She was too busy vomiting on the ground.
-------------------
Sarai quickly got off her horse, racing over to the young elf girl. The poor child was absolutely terrified, shaking terribly as she emptied her stomach on the ground. She rubbed circles in the child’s back, trying to soothe her. The elf coughed, her puking almost over.
“Easy there, little one. It will be over soon.” Sarai tried to comfort her, continuing to rub her back. She was so tiny—Sarai felt light-headed. This girl was so young, and her way of life had been cruelly ripped from her all because Sarai was a coward.
The elf stopped puking, and as soon as she was able, she backed away from Sarai as if her touch burned the poor girl. She gave Sarai a vicious glare, full of anger and hatred.
“lle sane amin! sana amin eska!” the elf snarled. Sarai blinked, not expecting elvish. She thought the little elf could speak common tongue from her words before, but perhaps she was mistaken? “Lle caela n'uma honor!” she spat.
“You will speak with respect to the queen.” Viren came close to the elf, standing tall, directing his stern gaze at her. He didn’t know what the elf was saying, but he knew it was probably insulting. “Forget about Xadia. You have been given a great honor, elf. Appreciate it.”
“Viren!” Sarai snapped, outraged, ready to defend the child.
Viren didn’t respond for the elf wasted no time in kicking his shin, making him cry out. Her glare was fierce, like a violet inferno. It was clear she didn’t understand what Viren was saying, but she did understand his condescending tone, which the elf did not appreciate.
“How dare you!” he growled at the young elf ready to hit her, but the elf fled. She yelped when Amaya scooped her up, quirking an eyebrow, daring the elf to kick her. The elf hissed something at her but Amaya simply smirking, signing.
You’ve certainly won points with me for kicking his pompous arse, little one. The elf watched, fascinated as Amaya moved her hands. Then Amaya poked her nose, making the elf squeak. But you must behave or else you’ll have to deal with me Amaya wagged a finger at her.
“Amin uma il- rangwa mani lle naa sayien “ the elf told Amaya waspishly, but didn’t dare attack her. She seemed to have sensed Amaya wasn’t one to be trifled with. Sarai sighed in relief, glad at least the elf wouldn’t attack her wounded sister.
I like her. Amaya signed to Sarai. She’s definitely a spitfire. She then tried to hand her off to Sarai, but they could see the elf wasn’t happy being near Sarai, and Sarai couldn’t blame her. Harrow came over to them, worried.
“Is everything all right?” his brow was furrowed as he surveyed the scene.
“The elf attacked me!” Viren exclaimed, gesturing to her.
“You spoke rudely to her.” Sarai countered.
“It’s not like she can understand me!” Viren protested.
“It seems she’s smart enough to understand tone.” Harrow observed, knowing his friend’s view of elves being inferior.
“You’re siding with the elf?!” Viren was offended. Harrow crossed his arms.
“She’s my ward now, Viren. You’re my friend, but I will not tolerate you referring to her in a derogatory way.” Harrow said sternly, stamping down any argument. Sarai was relieved Harrow was on her side. He turned his attention to his wife. “How is she?”
“She’s scared, angry. She doesn’t want me to hold her.” Sarai said sorrowfully, but also in understanding. Harrow watched his wife with sympathy. She was so kind, so loving—this was the first time she was viewed in a negative light by a child.
“Come here, little one.” Harrow gently spoke to the elf, holding out his arms. Amaya handed her off to the king. The elf watched him suspiciously, allowing the transfer.
“Sana amin eska” the elf ordered sourly. Harrow sighed, giving her a reassuring smile.
“Come with me, we’ll ride together.” Harrow told her, hoping she could understand a few words.
“Xadia. Sana amin n'alaquel a' Xadia.” The elf’s lips quivered, gripping his shoulders desperately. It seemed to finally hit her that they could not understand her, and she could not understand them. Harrow pitied her. How alone was she feeling right now?
“You can’t go back to Xadia.” Harrow told her, guilt pooling in his heart. He tried to tell himself he was doing the right thing. If it wasn’t for this elf, Sarai wouldn’t have come back to him—to Callum and Ezran. He tried to tell himself she would grow to love Katolis—he would make sure she wouldn’t want for anything. He would be sure to let her know how grateful he was she was the reason his wife came back safe. Violet eyes seemed to glint with recognition at his words.
“No… Xadia?” the elf ventured, her voice cracking, her hands shaking at his shoulders.
And yet hearing her only made the guilt strengthen.
“No.” he swallowed his guilt. The elf looked around her, at all them watching her, taking everything in. Her attention lingered on the magma titan’s heart before focusing on Harrow again. She took a deep breath, as if preparing herself for something.
“San' amin naa ba.” She said solemnly.
--------------
Rayla allowed the human man to carry her to his horse, feeling numb, but a little at peace. She remembered Runaan’s words during her training. Moonshadow elves did not fear death, because they accepted that whatever happens, they were already dead. Gazing at the magma titan’s heart signaled her what her fate would be.
She told herself she wouldn’t cry. Warriors did not cry. They died with honor. These humans had none, and she would die by their hand, but if it was her fate, so be it.
Rayla wished she could’ve told her parents, Runaan, and Ethari goodbye. At least to let them know it was okay and she was ready. She would make them proud by staying brave when she died. Perhaps Death would let her watch over her family to protect them from future harm? It was a nice thought—one that comforted Rayla as they rode through land that was foreign to her.

I just suddenly wanted to write something with my BATIM oc Cordelia and @randomwriteronline‘s Eska. Also featuring some other members of the Grosso-O’Flannel family.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
“What’s that?”
Cordelia turned around, arms full of cat food cans and cat toys.
“I think a cat is living in the vents,” she explained. “I thought maybe I could lure it out with some food.”
“And the cat toys?” Sammy asked, raising an eyebrow.
Cordelia’s cheeks went a bit pink. “I thought if the food didn’t work then maybe the toys would,” she mumbled.
“You know Joey’s not going to be happy if he hears you’ve been feeding a cat here,” Sammy said. “It’s not safe to have animals in the studio.”
“I know I know.” Cordelia shifted the items in her arms. “I just thought if I could lure it out and take it home.”
“For your brother?”
“He could use some company in the house.” Cordelia nodded.
Sammy chuckled and shook his head. Cordelia took this to mean she was free to go, and so she did. She ran off, cat food cans and toys clutched tightly to her chest.
The vent the cat supposedly lived in was in the lower levels of the studio, near Bertram and Lacie’s work areas. She’d heard about it from them, actually. She’d gone down to see if the music for the carousel needed changes and had come upon Bertram complaining upon the “damned thing” in the vents. He hadn’t specifically said it was a cat, but that had been what the other warehouse workers had assumed it was. And Cordelia, ever the cat lover, had gotten it into her head that she could lure it out and take it home.
“Alright.” Cordelia reached the vent, setting down the toys and cans. “Let’s see if I can get you out of there, kitty.”
She cracked open one of the cans and, suddenly, a series of bangs came from the vents. Cordelia started a bit, startled by the sudden noises.
“Are you hungry?” She asked, approaching the vent with the open can. “I’ve got some food here for you.”
The bangs continued, coming closer to her. Then the vent cover literally flew off, hitting the wall behind her. The creature looking back at Cordelia from the darkness was not a cat. She wasn’t even sure it was a person. All she could see was the pale white of what she thought was the bone of a skull, as well as two eyes, one brown and one blue.
Cordelia blinked. “You’re not a cat.”
The creature in the vent shrugged slightly, eyes still focused on the can in her hands.
“Do...Do you still want it?” She held the can out toward the creature.
It flopped out of the vent like a snake, long limbs unfolding as it stood up, revealing just how tall it really was. How tall and unnaturally thin. It did look human, with two legs and two arms and a head. It wore an oversized white t-shirt and baggy light brown overalls. It had light brown skin covered in freckles and wild brown hair. The white she’d thought was a skull was actually a skull mask.
“Um, here.” Cordelia handed the can of cat food over.
“Thanks,” the creature said. It had a raspy voice, deeper than she’d expected.
She watched as it dug out the food with its long fingers, shoveling it into its mouth. Little pieces of food stuck to the area around the mouth of the mask.
“What’s your name?” Cordelia asked.
“Eska,” it replied.
Cordelia frowned slightly. Well, that was a strange name. But the being before her certainly seemed to be a strange one. So she supposed it fit.
“Do you live here, Eska?”
Eska shrugged.
“Are you here often?”
Eska shrugged again.
Cordelia’s frown deepened. She had a feeling she wasn’t going to get any answers out of this creature. Which was frustrating because she hated when people were cryptic with her. Except she didn’t feel like Eska was doing this on purpose.
Just then, she was startled again by another loud sound. This time the door to the room being slammed open and a familiar Irish accented voice yelling into the room,
“HOW’S MY BABY BOY?!”
Niamh barged in with a huge smile on her face. She was about the only person in the studio who was actually shorter than Cordelia, which Cordelia took a small amount of joy in. Kim trailed behind Niamh, looking both weary and lovestruck.
“Oh, hello, Cordelia,” Kim said, waving upon seeing the music director’s secretary frozen in the middle of the room.
“Hey?” Cordelia waved back awkwardly.
Niamh, meanwhile, had charged over to Eska and scooped him up, holding him over her head in triumph.
“Do you...know them?” Cordelia asked, pointing at Eska.
“Yeah, he’s our son,” Kim replied.
“Your...son...?” Cordelia repeated dumbly. She hadn’t known Kim and Niamh had kids. Niamh was asexual too, wasn’t she?
“Adopted son,” Kim clarified.
“Oh.”
“Why’re you eating cat food?” Niamh asked, putting Eska back down.
"Gave me food.” Eska pointed at Cordelia. “Thought I was a cat.”
Niamh looked at Cordelia, then at Eska, then at the cat food and cat toys on the ground. Then she started to laugh.
“You are pretty much a cat!” She laughed, slapping Eska’s back.
“It’s a fair comparison,” Kim agreed, also laughing.
Cordelia made a groaning sound, covering her rapidly reddening face. She wanted to just sink into the floor. This was so embarrassing.
“Do you guys want to keep the cat food?” She managed to squeak out.
Eska nodded. He’d finished the food in the can and was now trying to eat the can itself.
“Hey! No! Don’t eat that!” Kim tried to wrestle the can away from Eska. “It’s not good for you.”
“Gotta keep teeth strong.”
“No, you don’t!”
“He’ll be fine,” Niamh said. “He’s eaten worse!”
Cordelia took this opportunity to leave the room. She knew it wasn’t all that big of a deal, especially since Eska had liked the cat food, but she was still incredibly embarrassed that she’d offered him cat food in the first place.
“So, did you find the cat?” Sammy asked when she returned to her desk.
“It wasn’t a cat,” she replied, ducking her head down and beginning to shuffle through the paperwork that had been left for her.
Sammy looked confused for a moment before recognition dawned on his face. “Oh. Eska?”
Cordelia nodded, feeling her face beginning to grow red again. Sammy didn’t push the subject. Meeting Eska for the first time was certainly an experience.
