SUNNY UPDATE DESIGN BECAUSE @pactw HAD A WONDERFUL IDEA
I don’t know too much about “low class” inner city fashion- having grown up in the middle class suburbs but the idea of corner store tiara and chunky, bedazzled everything reminds me soooo much of like- early 2000s kids fashion- specifically JUSTICE.
Like if you were a girlie growing up in 2000-2010s, you wanted Justice.
Having watched more of Sunny- idk I totally see her in that sort of vibe? Like the girl who wants EVERYTHING on her to show she’s a princess, but like, through a very childish lens (obviously)
So she’d have a SHIT ton of necklaces and especially bracelets on- think of those kids who wore like 100 Loom and SILLY BAND (!!!) bracelets or even how people’s arms looked during the Eras Tour except some of hers would be tacky silvery plastic and obnoxiously rhinestoned pink.
She’ll still keep the dress/poofy undershirt combo but I’d like to think it’s a simple sundress that she tied a scarf she liked and thought looked fancy around the waist.
And their shoes are just their favorite rain boots cause idk- I think they’d be like that. (Ok lore wise- I guess there a safer option to wear around the factory then any fancy shoes- but still. The rain shoes fit the vibe)
I also feel like since they wear so many bracelets- making friendships bracelets would be their ThingTM (Do y’all fellow 2000 kids remember how popular making bracelets were??? That and duck tape wallets…) so they would go around making bracelets for everyone. (And Tubbo would sob for hours after getting his)
Overall, I see how much more of a little gremlin kid she is. She’s smol and she’s opinionated and she’s not afraid to hand you money if she thinks you’re too poor to be around her and I love her. Just reminds me of the concept of my childhood- if that even makes sense.
#mcyt#qsmp#tubbo#qsmp tubbo#qsmp sunny#god I love this design a lot#reminds me so much of 2010 esc childhood lmao#I realize now I forgot to give them their pointy dragon ears whoops

I love this idea. Maybe draw some fanart of this one day.
“… The video went viral and Alex was humiliated the day after but then suddenly Beyoncé posted a video of her in the same outfit doing the same dance to FAIRYTALE and it became the next trend on the internet…”

So the melfestization of Eurovision continues huh?
The big 5 + hosting country performing in the semis is a good thing imo. They can only benefit from the exposure and that's always an additional chance to polish the act, catch flow with the audience. It might cause some voting chaos though as they'll be squished between the competing countries. Will the semis be longer now? Will other sections get shortened? So many questions...
Rationally, I can see why the changes in timing of the voting in the grand final are being introduced. Yet, there is an irrational part of me that screamed, the moment I read the news: "How can you open the voting before all the acts are performed (or even before the show starts in case of ROTW)?!?". That's bad experiences from Unser Lied für Liverpool speaking. Somehow the argument that all the acts will have performed in the semis before the gf voting starts doesn't speak to me.
ROTW is easier to swallow as usually only hardcore fans outside of Europe watch, they're actively interested in all the entries and I genuinely see how this would make life easier for some of them by having a wider time window to vote. If you are a fan though, I assume the grand final is the most important part that you won't miss anyways so ehh. Idk if this makes sense after all.
When it comes to the Melfest-like voting from the beginning of the show though? I'm waaay more sceptical. There are many people who only watch the grand final and the fact that they can now vote before watching all the performances doesn't sit right with me. How can you evaluate all the performances if you've only seen part of them? But then maybe people outside of the bubble don't actually work like that and they just vote for what they like in the moment. In that case, I do admit that would probably prevent songs performed earlier from losing some votes courtesy of recency bias.
I do have my reservations but I'm willing to give this system a try. I hope they are not afraid to scrap it if it ends up not working out. There's allegedly another big change coming soon, how terrified should I be of that one? I hope they abandoned the idea of tinkering with the qualifiers announcements for good. Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED Talk
#ted x under the ladder#i had to dump my thoughts somewhere#now i need to examine how this voting worked out in 2010 and 2011#esc 2024

Wrapped 2023 (Aijamisespava Edition!)
Oookay, taking a break from my messenger role in Eurovision Land to bring you something different (buckle up, this is going to get long). Yesterday was Spotify Wrapped, and while I'm off celebrating my favorite songs that made it to that top 100 list, I also become a wild statistician and bring you my stats.
General Stats: Well...I listened for 139,902 minutes (more than my friends and family), my top artist was Taylor Swift with Evanescence, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, and Loïc Nottet rounding out my top 5. I'd go into my top 5 songs but.....Loïc Nottet took 3rd and 4th with "Mélodrame" and "Mud Blood" respectively. What about the rest? That's what I'm here for.
Welcome to my Eurovision 2023. Any Eurovision song that makes my Spotify Wrapped is in my Grand Final. So countries can participate as many times as they appear. So here is my list. I'll have their actual placement on my Wrapped in parenthesis.

Cyprus 2021: "El Diablo" by Elena Tsagrinou (97)
Moldova 2010: "Run Away" by Sunstroke Project (100)
Honorable mentions go to "Gladiator" by Jann and "Novi Plan Drugi San" by Filip Baloš for making my Wrapped at 21 and 32, respectively. They may not have made it to the Eurovision stage, but they have a soft spot in my heart. Unfortunately, I did not have any Junior Eurovision songs make it. But if they did, they would be listed.

If Israel ends up winning, that's the EBU's problem, not ours.
Don't watch, don't vote.
Israel doing well in Eurovision is a completely predictable result of the boycott. The people who are watching & voting in Eurovision are now at best willfully ignorant and apathetic and at worst actively pro-Israel, meaning there will be a disproportionate amount of people willing to vote for Israel and even people voting for them because of the boycott.
But saying that means that boycotting Eurovision was the wrong call completely misses the point of the boycott. The point is not "Israel should not win Eurovision", it is "Israel should not be allowed to compete in the first place". The point of the boycott is not to give the EBU views or money, so if you've been boycotting... don't give them money or legitimacy by voting for someone tomorrow to prevent Israel from winning. If Israel does win, that does not mean boycotting failed; it only further delegitimizes the competition and confirms we should burn the whole thing down.
#having israel be the host of next years esc would be such a fucking nightmare for the EBU that i almost wish it on them (almost)#if we're being realistic i don't think it would kill the competition (esc has survived a lot) but it would definitely damaged it#and completely tank their post-2010(ish?) effort to make esc have mainstream appeal and legitimacy#but either way - not our problem

Song #47
Tonight I watched Das Deutsche Final for ESC and I was a bit disappointed with the result. I quite liked last years song, I knew Lord of the Lost already from this song. But people might like vocals and appreciate Germany more this year, idk

Okej, så nu för den viktigaste frågan:
Vem var värd att vinna Melodifestivalen 2010?
Var det Anna Bergendal, Eric Saade eller Salem Al Fakir? This is my life, Manboy eller Keep on walking.
