synopsis each of them express their love differently. but one thing’s certain; they all cherish you deeply - in their own, special way of course.

everyone knows erza scarlet doesn’t wear her feelings on her sleeve. she’s fearless, strong - the embodiment of a warrior.

that’s what nearly everyone sees her as - a fierce, determined leader. she’s protective over those she cares about, but with you? her protective instincts are kicked up a notch. always looking out for your well-being, even though you’re most likely able to handle yourself. but she insists on doing so, and her stern tone leaves no room for arguments.

at first, erza can come off as intimidating (and rightfully so), but behind closed doors, she allows herself to be vulnerable around you. it’s not a whole lot, but you can tell by her softer tone when she talks or when you’re sitting together, simply enjoying each other’s presence.

her way of expressing her love is through actions. she struggles with words but makes up for it through protecting and caring for you always. erza would suggest training you personally so you can be at your best and keep an eye on your health; ensuring you eat properly. her love speaks louder in actions than words.

erza will always make sure you feel loved, since she knows she isn’t the best in expressing it verbally. it isn’t anything big - it’s more of the simple, subtle ways that hold so much love behind it. whether she walks you home, brings you tea or listens whenever you need to vent - she makes it very clear; her heart is yours.

mirajane strauss is different, however. her love is warm and comforting, like a sweet, homemade meal after a long day. she’s very charming, and if she feels like it, will sometimes subtly flirt or joke around with you at the guild. mira can tell what you’re feeling in the moment, and depending on that, adjusts her energy to make you feel comfortable.

when you’re alone, it shouldn’t be a surprise that she’s very attentive. mirajane will end up cooking for you, humming a soft tune as the scent of whatever she’s making wafts throughout the house. she does this without you having to ask at all - and serves it to you with her entire heart.

she’s very affectionate; giving you a hug if she thinks you’re stressed or upset, pecks your cheek unexpectedly - she loves expressing her devotion through these actions - but it will never be overwhelming. it’s the perfect balance of gentle and peaceful.

mira is also pretty protective, but not over the top as erza. instead, she keeps an eye out for you always, watching quietly without ever making a big deal out of it. she does step in, if necessary, but mostly prefers to handle the issue calmly and with a smile. she will reassure you afterwards, though.

the longer you two are together, you’ll start to see her becoming more vulnerable - confiding in you with her fears, dreams, and her personal feelings. it’s her way of showing you that she trusts you deeply.

mirajane is no doubt a loving girlfriend - always eager to make you feel appreciated.

juvia lockser loves without limits. in other words, unconditionally.

her affection is as intense as a waterfall, but also heartwarming. whether she attempts to bake you a cake, create mini water sculptures of you, writing you love letters or always being by your side - every action overflows with her immense love towards you - endless, like a river.

in contrast to erza, juvia wears her heart on her sleeve, so you always know what she’s feeling. behind all her dramatic gestures of love, she’s also protective and loyal. juvia would go to any length to keep you safe, using her magic to protect you with a shield or pulling you behind her as she handles the business. if you’re upset, expect a storm brewing outside as she clings to you, rambling sweet words and a few tears staining your shirt.

you could gift her a simple bracelet or even a mismatched bouquet, and juvia will treasure it forever, crying out of happiness that her beloved gave her something so special. she’s content with the smallest of things that maybe aren’t as special, but to her, mean the world.

eventually, juvia will treasure the peaceful, quiet moments shared between you both. she’ll curl up beside you without a word, simply basking in the warmth of your presence. she’s also really thoughtful, and will remember every detail about you, no matter how unimportant it seems. it’s how she knows exactly what you like and not.

it’s safe to say that with juvia, you’ll never doubt her love.

You went in the guild hall as you went to find your girlfriend. As you went in you looked around to spot her by the bar as she was eating her strawberry cake and enjoying the time she had by herself. You decided it'll be funny if you surprise her from behind as you sneakily came from behind her. As you did, you blew cold air in her ear as you saw her body jolt in surprise and heard her squeal. You laughed as you saw Mirajane did too.

Erza was about to start swinging and get super mad, but when she turned she saw so you saw her cheek turn a bright pink. "Hey erza~" you chuckled as and looked at her cherry red face. You saw her looking down and all frozen until she was brought back to her conscience as she coughed and sat back down. "H-hey [Name}" She stuttered a little as you grinned knowing it was going to be a great tease. "Wow did i just made the Titania stutter just by blowing in her ear?" You cooed as she tried to act all tough. "Y-You just caught me off guard." she said in a stern tone but you tell through her facade she was all shy and nervous. "Mhm sure.~ anywho how are you?" You got up to drape your arms around neck which made your face very close to hers. Erza tried her best to stay calm and collected. "I-I'm fine i came from a job with the team. We successfully achieved the reward." She said as she took a bite of her cake while still trying to be cool.

You smiled, happy she did good, "awesome i know you could do it! i knew you were always strong~" You pulled away as your hand went from her shoulders to her muscles. She wondered what you were up too as you felt up her muscles. "wow your very tense maybe i should give you a massage hm?" You gave a bit of a suggestive tone not really meaning it just wanted to play with her. You saw her nearly choke as she did have those thoughts of your hands on her. You saw immediately turn around as she started rambling. "imfinenoneedtoworryeveyrthingsfineimreally..." you cut her off by kissing her cheek as she continued blushing. "I'm just teasing Erza don't worry. Unless you really want me too?~" You winked as you saw her just stay there say nothing for a moment. When you saw her part her lips about to speak, you kiss her which most certainly caught her off guard. Before she could even kiss you back you pulled away a little leaving her hanging which was you intention (wanting her to want more). "You know where to find me!" You whispered against her lips as you pulled away fully giving her a wink before you went to walking out of the guild. Erza just stood there frozen with a million thoughts going through her mind. Mirajane just witness the whole thing with a smile on her face as she giggled. "Goodness you should go get them Erza" Erza turned to Mira as she was panicked, "W-Wait! What did they mean Mira?!"

Hi, I have a scenario request! So Erza has been noticing that the reader has started acting strange around her, stuff like leaving the room whenever she enters, staring at her and immediately turning away when she notices, jumping at the sound of her voice. After she’s had enough she corners them and demands to know what their problem is. With this, they actually confess that they’ve had a crush on her for awhile and have been avoiding her because they think they “don’t have a chance in the world to be with someone as amazing as her”. How does she react to all this? (Sorry if this is too specific, I’m just starving for Erza content)

Erza x Reader - No Chance

Erza had simply had enough. She was starting to get really annoyed by you constantly avoiding her. What had she done wrong?... Had she done something to offend you?

You had been avoiding her for about a month now, and she had really started to worry that she had scared you off or something, because every time she had entered the same room as you by coincidence or had joined a conversation that had involved you, you would dart off in the opposite direction.

She had already spoken to Mira about how much it had bothered her, and how she can barely even catch wind of you, let alone apologise for what she might have done. It really had put a damper on her mood, and it had started to affect her during missions. She would be distracted and quiet, and less charismatic and confident. Even Lucy could see that soemething was wrong.

In reality, you were just crushing on the redheaded mage. And badly. She was so sure of herself all of the time and she always knew what to do when the pressure is high. You couldn't help but be attracted to someone so strong and brave and pure of heart, honestly you think that there would be something wrong with anyone who doesn't melt at the very sight of her.

You hadn't realised that she'd had her eye on you too. Her eyes would scan over your form whenever she had the chance to look and she so desperately wanted to talk to you, to see more of your personality, your strength, trying to guage just how you would fair in a battle of wits and resolve.

She'd finally had enough when she had caught you looking dead at her from across the guildhall, with a look of wonder in your eyes, only to snap your head away and take off from the table you were sitting at when Erza had looked back. She furrowed her eyebrows and slammed her hands on the table, the chair behind her scraping against wooden flooring loudly as she got up in persuit of you. You're not getting away this time.

For the first time, she catches up to you, staring you down and forcing you to tear your gaze away as she stops you outside of the guildhall, bombarding you with questions while she looks at you impatiently, her arms crossed as she waits for an answer.

"Why have you been avoiding me? I would like to apologise if I have done something to offend you, but I can't think of anything I've done to deserve the cold shoulder... We've barely spoken and yet you seem to be angry with me."

You were genuinely shocked. You thought that she would have absolutely no interest in talking to you outside of missions and things, so you had completely avoided her in an attempt to stave off a heartbreak and forget the feelings that you have. It wasn't working but you have the right to delude yourself if you wanted to.

So now that she's standing in front of you, asking why you've been avoiding her, you practically melt into the floor. Your cheeks have turned bright red as you have no other option but to look directly into her eyes, and you suddenly find yourself too weak to lie to her.

"I- I'm so sorry, Erza! The truth is that I think I might be in love with you! -I know this is sudden and it's unproffessional, but I can't stop myself from feeling the way I do- so I've been avoiding you because I could never live up to the standard of your ideal suiter. Someone like me could never- would never have the chance of being good enough for you-..."

At some point you had averted your gaze to the ground, too ashamed to face the one you had grown to fall in love with, so you're truly surprised when you're met with Erza's soft voice, regarding you with the kind of fondness that she saves for close friends. It has your heart thumping in your chest and your stomach turning as she speaks.

"... Idiot... You could've at least told me that you liked me. This would've been much easier then. I truly don't know why you think so low of yourself when I think the world of you... Maybe we should talk more over something to eat..."

Did you just hear that correctly? Is she asking you on a date?!

This one hits home for me, my husband has dealt with this and honestly my headcanons feel like I reflect off how he reacted to the first time it happened with us.

Erza

~She's a loud person in general, and she wasn't any better when she argued. She had pointed a certain direction and as she whipped her hand that way their S/O flinched.

~Her eyes widen, all anger in her chest dissipated as she realized the situation at hand. She's heard the horror stories of their past, and it hurt her that her S/O may think that she'd do anything to hurt them.

~"Wait, I wouldn't do anything like that to you!" Erza would say, the conversation turning to acknowledge the reaction they had. Their S/O would have to explain that it's a natural reaction, that it isn't something they can control.

~Erza has a hard time understanding it. It's a normal reaction from many people around the guild to have due to her many brawls between other guildmates. Everyone always comes at her for being excessive, so it was hard to hear it wasn't her fault.

~She'll ignore the argument, instead wanting to work on their S/O. It isn't something that one conversation will fix, and even if it takes Erza a while to realize this, she'll never put any blame on their S/O.

~Erza avoids arguments after that, she doesn't like seeing their S/O react that way at them and it takes time for the two of them to work through it.

~Erza's no quitter though, so she'll understand and work with them to move past the trauma that caused them to react so skittish during confrontation!

Mirajane

~She was surprised to see her S/O curl in on themselves when she had threw her hands up in exasperation. It was their first real argument and so she never realized how deep rooted their trauma was.

~She's well aware of their past trauma, and though that reaction was upsetting, she's understanding and handles the situation delicatly. She'll soften her tone and keep any movements slow and obvious.

~She'll also ignore the argument to focus on this, but it's to get them to open up about things and to talk out the feelings they felt when she had raised her arms. She'll touch back onto their argument later, but in all honesty it's the best option since the two of them will be more levelheaded about it.

~Now that she knows you react that way she makes an effort to keep it in mind the next time they argue. She's considerate of their feelings, and doesn't want to escalate any issues by giving their S/O unnecessary anxiety.

~Honestly she'd be a great therapist if she wasn't such an incredible mage. She's got a great listening ear and never judges anything she hears.

~Truly a queen of support.

~She takes the reaction the hardest to be transparent.

~She's got a powerful voice and makes motions with her hands when she's proving a point. It surprised her when their S/O turned away and held their hand up when she got exceptionally wild in her hand gestures.

~Her first reaction was anger, how could they think she would put her hands on them??? Though before she calls them out on it she bites her tongue. They're shaking ever so slightly and has an almost far away look that isn't anywhere in her direction.

~She'll focus more on the argument at hand rather than the flinching, but she loses interest in it pretty fast. She'll cave early on and once things settle down is when she brings it up.

~She wasn't an idiot, she knows the signs of abuse when she sees it. She'll get a frumpy look on her face as she crosses her arms, "So who did this to you?"

~She's no professional and she's not good at delving into their S/O's trauma, but she really does try. She tries to get to the bottom of it, but she wont force out any traumatic memories either. She has a hard time listening to these things, her protective nature making her want to knock the shit out of whoever hurt them.

~She's pretty bad at holding herself back at first, but any argument that turns into her S/O flinching, she'll do the same as before while also keeping her motioning in check. She doesn't want to upset their S/O, they just don't think about those things when they first start arguing.

So Erza has been trying to get the attention of her crush, but anytime she tries talking to them, they talk as little as possible or run away. When she talks to Mira about this, Mira comments it could be that when crush tried talking to Erza first, Erza hurt them in one of her bouts of violence before she really knew crush. Up to you if it was accidental or on purpose. Could we please get some headcanons about her reacting/dealing with this?

~Erza couldn't even remember the encounter, since getting involved in the large fights at the guild is common occurrence. Their crush confided in Mirajane that they had admired Erza for a while, but the first time they tried talking to her Natsu had knocked into her and to retaliate she threw a chair at him. What she hadn't realized that in the back-swing of the chair she had busted the nose of their crush.

~Since then they haven't tried to talk since, making Erza's chest clinch up. She hadn't meant to, and she wasn't ignorant to how wildly destructive she could be.

~At first Erza will avoid them, she doesn't want to upset their crush but they quickly realize that being away from them made her feel like crap too.

~If she told her crush that Mirajane told her what happened, they might get upset with Mira for spilling private information. So she goes back to Mira for advice, since she was the only one who knew the entire situation.

~They mutually agree that she should apologize, and Erza will indirectly do so.

~Erza will launch at the first time her crush is alone to confront her, rushing out that they needed to talk and to not run off. It hurts Erza's feelings when they seem to be ready to dart at any moment, looking at them with nervousness in their eyes.

~Erza is bad with words and she'll ramble out her apology. "L-look I noticed your'e always running away from me, and I think I might have done something to hurt you. I-I just want you to know, t-that I never meant to, and if it's okay I want to take you to eat! A-as an apology." It's rushed out and she all but yelled it out, but she said what she needed and she waited on baited breath for their response.

~If they accept her apology she'll feel exceptionally happy and drag them along to her favorite shop and will pay for everything, it is part of her apology after all!

~If they don't accept it, she'll be really bummed and accept that. She'll go back to avoiding them, but sometimes she pays for their drink at the guild as a way to be kind to them. She'll also keep her eye on them to protect them, but they try not to push any boundaries since they've made it clear she scares them.
