ok but can we talk about fairy tail's seven year time skip and the gaps that occurred in relations through that time?

like imagine you're erza and the guy you've known since you were a kid and you care so much about is responsible for so many horrible crimes but it wasn't really his fault, not really, but you discovered that too late. and you have hope that he'll go back to how he once was but now his memory is gone and he's gonna be in prison likely for the rest of his life but there's a chance. then you go to tenrou island and you think it's the end but when you wake up it's been 7 years and now you're still 19 years old and jellal is at least 26 and he's got his memory back and he's trying to make amends and he's so far away in life experience and relations with people and you feel you were left behind, he didn't even need you by his side to grow, to be good, and he won't really need you again

now imagine you're gray and you discover one of your oldest friends, like your brother, betrays you and the beliefs of the person you had in common but then the situation gets resolved and you can find peace between each other. but now lyon is seven years older than you and he's had longer time to advance his magic, ur's magic, and you know he's had to mourn both you and ur, and potentially looked at his magic and thought he was the last one from that little family of three from all those years ago. he doesn't know ultear, who has grown since the last time you saw her a few hours ago no wait, seven years ago, and she's also trying to make up for her many mistakes and she's more kind and gentle but you won't get to know her because she's already gone so soon after you returned

it's just so sad to think deeper about the consequences of seven years passing, lives continuing on without you and thinking about how everyone that loves you and you love thought you were dead and you don't know how to fix things or fit into this new time

Team Natsu Magic HC

So I was rewatching the gmg arc, and something I really appreciated about the artstyle was how they made the celestial spirits glow compared to humans at nighttime, and it got me thinking of how Lucy's magic makes her fit right in with them but also look normal with the rest of her team, and it kind of spiraled from there so accept my brain rot pls.

Lucy

As I was saying above, Lucy's skin & hair faintly glows in the starlight/moonlight. It's not that noticeable when she's standing next to other humans, but when she's with her spirits at night, she looks like she belongs with them.

Lucy is covered in light freckles, and occasionally they will move across her skin like shooting stars, or random lines will faintly connect like a constellation. It occurs more when she's around her immediate family or spirits. Team Natsu has a game where as soon as they see it they treat it like a shooting star, and everyone makes a wish. Lucy didn't notice it until they started doing it, and was freaked out about the freckles for a little bit.

Lucy practices what we would consider practical witchcraft, she has an altar set up in her apartment that she changes every time a new zodiac season starts. Even though she knows her spirits and has close bonds with them, she does this to feel close to other celestial spirits when they meet. She is also superstitious, and on nights when the team is safely asleep in her apartment she will put lines of salt across entry points in her apartment to ward off evil.

Natsu

Natsu is always warm. Always. I know this is something that is exhausted but that boy wears crop tops and shorts constantly, and also loves walking around barefoot. He only wears the duster every once in a while, and team Natsu considers it bad luck when he does, because Fairy Tail always gets into conflicts when he does.

Natsu can use his hands like a heat gun, which is useful for when Lucy has to repaint her apartment when things get covered in scorch marks. Natsu finds it boring but Lucy threatens to not make him dinner if he doesn't.

Like Gajeel and Cobra, when Natsu starts to get really angry his skin starts to harden, and it looks like scales are emerging from under his skin. Watching them fully break through the skin when he uses dragon force scares the shit out of his enemies.

When him and Lucy eventually settle down and have kids, he has Gray, Wendy and Ezra help him gather scales from his dragon force to make a scarf for their children. Lucy and Erza get into knitting, and eventually drag Wendy and Gray into it too, and the entire team helps make the next generations scarves.

With his dragon senses, Natsu is fully tuned into his teams scent. He knows the scent of their favorite food, their blood, their hygine products. While he does know the rest of the guildmates general smell Natsu has fully committed his closet families smell into his brain.

Erza

Erza has to set a time every month where she sits down and repairs her armor and sharpens her swords. Before the team fully started leaning on each other the entire process would take her like 5 days, but with Lucy sitting down and asking Erza to teach her how, eventually the rest of the team started helping her. Lucy hosts it at her apartment, and they make a weekend out of it. Eating greasy food, talking shit on their enemies and discussing the latest guild goss, they manage to knock out Erza's monthly chore in two days.

Erza has to keep a mental inventory stock at all times. With how much swords that break during battle she has a revolving number in her head at all times, it's exhausting at times when she can't stop thinking of it before she goes to bed.

Team Natsu has managed to learn to glance at Erza when she's reequipping and from a single second can guess which armor she's getting into, and they're able to adjust their battle strategy/team work without speaking.

Gray

Gray will have steam coming off of him constantly when it's warm outside, and on those days no one blames him for his stripping habit.

At this point the entire team is used to seeing him naked and they don't mention it if they are at one of their apartments, but they all have an extra pair of clothes for him in their travel packs when they are out in public.

Lucy will gravitate towards him when it's hot outside, the mist feels nice, and as they got closer it's common for Gray to have a hand on her ankle/ shoulder to help cool her down. Wendy and the exceeds pick this habit up as well.

On the colder days Grays skin actually hardens, think of how Twilight described the vampires skin, and it will also sparkle lightly.

In his off time Gray participates in ice carving competitions, but he will have to travel to go to them. He is banned from participating in any of Magnolias since he always wins and it has started more than one fist fight.

Wendy

Wendy is very sensitive to the weather, and can usually tell when a huge storm is coming before it hits Magnolia. She has helped save lives by warning the town of incoming deadly weather events, and helping them prepare for it.

Wendy moves silently, her footsteps are as light as air. While Team Natsu is used to it, she constantly scares other people in the guild and she feels bad about it, while the rest of the team finds it hilarious.

While her nose is not at the level that Natsu's is, she has gotten over her pride and has asked him to train her, and she is slowly picking up her team mates smell.

Natsu and Wendy curl up together on long train rides, usually both resting their heads on Lucy's lap. Wendy can't explain it but that woman makes the worst of the aches go away.

As Wendy starts getting more powerful she gains the ability to generate thunder storms and tornado, she also doesn't need Carla to fly. She doesn't use the ability though unless she's in dragon force, she doesn't care if she can fly on her own. Her and Carla are a team dammit.

Erza Scarlet (エルザ・スカーレット Eruza Sukāretto) is an S-Class Mage of the Fairy Tail Guild, wherein she is a member of Team Natsu. She also served as the guild's 7th Guild Master during Makarov's absence in X792.

A magical tournament was held between both prestigious magic schools to defeat as many beasts or monsters as you can and who would be any better than Erza!yuu was chosen to be one

Erza!yuu has been getting ready and training for the tournament to happen working out, training and more to grow stronger. Vil helps them by choosing their diet for their training what food they should consume.

Ace and deuce would encourage them to get stronger and the schools were getting ready for the tournament to happen.

Finally the day of the tournament Erza!yuu was ready and the nrc cheering sides been getting ready and when they appear everyone was cheering.

Grim was shouting as well with ace and deuce holding a signs and shouting non stop towards them, as well jumping around.

Crowley and the rest of staff was cheering not as much as Crowley who was screaming with pure Bliss showing off nrc talent towards the other schools, that gumball meme where he's screaming YESSS, that's him screaming every time Erza!yuu fighting. Crewel also told them not to lose and bring shame upon the schools name as well as Vargas looking at Erza!yuu with encouragement meanwhile trein looking down with an observation look. And sam smilling over Erza!yuu promising if they win they would get a special discount

Crowley reaction :

At heartslabyul ace and deuce are screaming, trey and riddle looking at the tournament amused very confidently on Erza!yuu capabilities meanwhile Carter recorded the entire thing while screaming cheers towards them.

Over at Savana claw Leona is pretending to not be interested but is secretly cheering for their victory, ruggie and jack is shouting word of encouragement towards them.

Meanwhile at octaniville, Azul would be looking for ways to make any profit from this they know many would grow to be fans of Erza!yuu when the tournament is broadcast so he's getting for business, jade is standing by his side looking at fight meanwhile Floyd at the railing screaming.

At scarabia jamil and kalim are sitting looking at the tournament,once in a while kalim would scream word of encouragement towards down there while jamil is just sitting and watching the fight unfold

Pomifiore section, vil is wearing an umbrella to hide himself from the shade as well giving Erza!yuu look of encouragement. Rook was praising Erza!yuu saying how beautiful they look slaying those monster meanwhile epel screaming at Erza!yuu to win.

Ignihyde, idia is kinda scared of Erza!yuu due to the immense power they held and as well saying that they are similar towards those op characters in game while Ortho is holding a holographic sign saying you can do it.

Dismonia malleus and Lilia looking at the tournament with an amused face, silver is sleeping peacefully sebek is screaming at Erza!yuu to not bring shame towards his young master school as well to win for honor.

Meanwhile at RSA magic academy side, Crowley and Merlin keep exchanging looks towards each other they're having a passive aggressive argument meanwhile chenya looking at it with amusement and neige looking at Erza!yuu with admiration.

Erza once walked into Wendy’s apartment at fairy hills to find her and Carla sitting on the floor with a bunch of bracelet making supplies. Erza was immediately enamored. Now Wendy, Carla, and Erza hang out almost every night making friendship bracelets. After that, a lot of Fairy Tail members have gained a collection of friendship bracelets the three of them made.

- Lucy tries her best to include at least one of them in her outfits, and sometimes even builds an outfit based on which bracelet she wants to wear. She also got one that she could put on Imitatia/Gonzalez/Michelle.

- Natsu and Happy hoard every bracelet they got like a dragon hoarding treasure. At first Erza, Wendy, and Carla thought they just kept loosing their bracelets which is why they never wore them. Until, Wendy overheard the two talking about doing extra jobs because they wanted to save up to buy a safe for the bracelets.

- Gray only wears a specific few, and keeps the others in a drawer. But, he never takes the ones he wears off. He wears them as much as he wears his necklace, which also means he never takes them off when he strips. (The ones he wears are any matching ones they made, and one that was inspired by Ur.)

- Juvia was very happy when they gave her bracelets but got jealous that they were giving Gray some. Until they made a matching set just for Gray and Juvia. She never takes it off.

- Erza doesn’t make any for herself, but Wendy and Carla made some for her as a surprise. She keeps them on display, but she doesn’t wear them after one got broken on a mission. She cried herself to sleep that night.

- Wendy and Carla have a special jewelry box to keep their bracelets in. Except they have their matching bracelets up for display after seeing how Erza has hers.

the b team from the gmg hang out regularly and are all very good friends. mirajane, cana, and juvia have special "making fun of laxus" privileges that not even bickslow has.

laxus is genuinely embarrassed about how he used to talk about erza and she uses it against him very often. "oh, yes, because how can i - a mere woman - possibly accomplish this task myself?" "fine! i'll open the pickle jar!"

cain instinct is strong in the fairy tail guild. everyone is resisting the urge to smack each other, and most of them aren't very good at it. even laxus can be a target, especially after he chilled out. the most surprising display was when levy smacked him square in the head with one of her books, and he just yelled at her, or when cana stared at erza for a few seconds before smacking her across the face.

sex education was, probably, the worst thing to happen to those who grew up in the guild hall. either makarov didn't give enough details or he gave way too many.

lucy and gray are the biggest gossipers in the guild. they know everyone's secrets and while they don't blackmail people, they never hide something from the other. if they're staring at you and whispering, they are talking mad shit or they found out something about you.

juvia and natsu get along alarmingly well. they're not even sure how it works, just that they're so different that it kind of makes them perfect for each other (as friends).

natsu is sting's celebrity crush and he thinks he's doing a great job at hiding it. he's not. everyone knows. rogue knows, lector knows, all of sabertooth knows, all of fairy tail knows, sorcerer weekly knows, natsu knows. no one has the heart to tell him.

juvia doesn't have romantic feelings for lyon but she wants them to be friends so badly. not to get closer to gray, just because she thinks he's really cool and easy to talk to. lyon is so smug about it and gray wants to throttle him for it.

erza and mira's rivalry is alive in the tiniest of ways. they're always having small contests like "i bet i can wash this cup faster than you," or "i bet lucy says hi to me first." there's no hard feelings involved, they just can't help but be a little competitive with each other.

erza was illiterate for a really long time, way longer than she should have been, and makarov felt awful for not realizing it sooner. she was just looking at the reward numbers and going with the flow. on top of that, she has really bad dyslexia, something that somehow went under the radar.

related to the previous headcanon, lucy eventually realizes that the reason natsu has such bad grammar and reading comprehension is because he was tutored by erza, and erza's so bad at writing and understanding big words because she has undiagnosed dyslexia. so takes the time to slowly teach them how to read more complicated things, showing erza ways to read with her dyslexia, and giving them handwriting lessons. the first time erza writes a comprehendible letter is to jellal, and she's absolutely ecstatic about it. natsu is thrilled that he can finally read lucy's book without feeling stupid.

gray teaches wendy a lot about social cues and how to survive in a city as big as magnolia. she grew up very sheltered in a tiny village, so it makes sense that she struggles with "big city living." she's very appreciative and gray is just happy he can be of use.

gray stopped smoking because he heard lucy say she finds smokers unattractive. (gray, in the manga, smoked for a bit, and it's explicitly stated that, at least for the first handful of arcs, he was interested in lucy).

natsu started having romantic feelings for lucy during their fight against kain, but he didn't realize he was in love with her until he watched future lucy die. lucy didn't realize she had feelings for natsu until she realized she was in love with him, which was after the events with the eclipse gate. (the specific moments i'm talking about: kain | future lucy | post-eclipse gate)

between her and gajeel, juvia is the older one. she doesn't give it much thought but gajeel sees her in a big sister role, and has found himself accidentally referring to her as his older sister. which he would rather die than let her find out about.

when asked who she would go after if gray wasn't in the picture, most people expect juvia to say she could never picture a world without gray, but she will look you dead in the eye and, without any hesitation, say, "erza."

gray and loke had something very gay going on before loke went back to the celestial spirit world. the sexual tension between the two of them in this scene is too strong, they've fucked, kissed at least.

when gray realized he liked juvia back, he had a full mental breakdown for several reasons. a fear of intimacy, a fear of losing her like he has every single woman he's ever cared about, and because he just couldn't believe her very weird and very aggressive flirting tactics worked.

in the same vein, evergreen was inconsolable for days when she realized she was in love with elfman. laxus, freed, and bickslow have never been more worried about her mental well-being.

all of crime sorciere have a betting pool on when jellal and erza will get their heads out of their asses. they've had to place new bets several times because they're still dancing around each other. at this point, the betting pool is getting tense, and someone is going to lose so much money.

cobra and jellal kissed once because they were both extremely drunk and extremely sad about their respective crushes. neither of them remember it but the rest of crime sorciere can never forget watching cobra shove his tongue down jellal's throat.

makarov has said "you're like the son i never had" way too many times for it to be an accident.

elfman wants to be a girl dad so bad. he absolutely loves having sisters and he's obsessed with the idea of having a daughter to spoil and dote on.

gray and juvia have a kid before getting married...whoops.

going against the grain and literally what mashima has said, and saying that natsu and lucy have a son before having a daughter. he's a lot like lucy while their daughter is almost exactly like natsu.

yukino is a raging lesbian and is endlessly distressed by how many people think she's in love with sting. her month was ruined when minerva congratulated them on their relationship. completely ignoring the fact that sting is a gay man and is openly down bad for rogue.

rufus and orga have been dating for almost three years and literally no one knows.

lucy cried for three hours when she found out about anna and ichiya.

laxus and freed are in a queer-platonic relationship. laxus is aroace and has no interest in being romantically involved with someone, but he likes the dynamics of dating someone, and freed just likes having someone to spoil (back massages, compliments, all the things freed does in canon).

natsu has ended up in so many situations where he's put in feminine clothing, that he's actually started to kind of like it. he really doesn't mind the idea of wearing a skirt or letting lucy do his makeup. lucy is obsessed with it, and they sometimes do each other's makeup.

romeo is a trans boy and canon is my enemy. macao is extremely supportive and is always introducing romeo as enthusiastically as he can. "this is my son, romeo. isn't he so handsome? just the most handsome boy out there. i'm so proud of my son. he's the best." it's as embarrassing as it is endearing.

gray gets really bad joint pain after using his demon slayer magic, because the demon ice is so cold that it hurts him. thankfully, juvia is always happy to give him massages and crack his back.

natsu had the fattest crush on laxus from the age of thirteen to the very end of the battle of fairy tail arc. everyone just thought he had too much faith in his guild mates, but it was actually because he was so horrendously down bad for laxus that he couldn't accept that he was kind of a psycho.

gray tries so hard to seem cool and nonchalant that he accidentally flirts with basically everyone he interacts with. he thinks he's being cool and mysterious, instead he's making people fall in love with him.

loke tells lucy she's beautiful all the way into her sixties, and he means it every single time.

jude, technically, didn't take layla's maiden name, they just had the most unbelievable coincidence in the world where layla's last name was "heartfilia," while jude's was "heartphilia," so neither of them really saw a point in changing their last names.

juvia and gajeel were not only introduced to the wonders of genuine friendship and family after joining fairy tail, but also the amazing world of weed by cana and bickslow. laxus will never forget walking into his apartment with the thunder legion for the first time in years, and being met with juvia, gajeel, and cana on the couch, passing a blunt, while bickslow was raiding the kitchen.

gajeel and levy elope, only bringing lily and juvia with them as their witnesses. lucy was a little (a lot) insulted by it, but she eventually understood why levy did what she did when her and natsu decided to do the exact same thing, and only bring along their team. basically, elfman and evergreen, and gray and juvia are like the only couples to have a ceremony.

fairy tail has a lot of lawsuits and property damage bills, and freed, levy, and lucy almost had collective aneurysms trying to get through and organize them all. the guild has never spent more money on coffee.

lucy eventually takes advantage of the fact she has a very powerful kick and gets a black belt in taekwondo, a type of martial art that focuses mostly on kicking. her raw leg power combined with knowing what she's doing AND her heels? deadly.

(cw for child abuse on this one, skip if needed) minerva has such a massive appetite because jiemma would starve her both as punishment but also to "make her stronger." her body just never feels full, like the food will be taken away from her again.

sabertooth members calling minerva "m'lady" started as a serious thing to show respect, but now it's a running joke where everyone is trying to be as obnoxious as possible with it.

it's kind of implied that rogue is (at least) sexually attracted to minerva, and the fact larcade's "find out who's a virgin" spell hits him right after seeing minerva being affected by it, makes me think he lost his virginity to her. it was awkward and objectively bad but he's still glad it happened. sting drank an entire bottle of tequila when he found out about it.

getting 1 v. 2-d by natsu was the biggest ego crash sting and rogue have ever, and will ever experience. they will never be able to live it down. it will follow them to their graves. please never talk about how egotistical they used to be, they will cry from embarrassment.

minerva calls everyone's boyfriend their "boy toy" because, and i quote, "i don't respect men."

juvia is the best gift giver you will ever meet. she just has a way of always knowing what's perfect for someone, and it's a mutual agreement to always make her go last for gift giving so everyone else feels better about their gift for at least a few minutes.

natsu is the kind of guy to remember something someone said to him once in passing and randomly bring it up weeks or months later. his brain is a library of miniscule information about the people around him.

gajeel talks trash about levy's romance novels but will also be sneaking peeks over her shoulder and trying not to react to various moments. he is deeply invested in the plot twists and the main characters' romance.

while he's traveling, gildarts will buy cana a gift from every town his visits, which results in him having about a pound of knickknacks, clothes, and alcohol for her when he comes back. she pretends to be embarrassed about it but she secretly loves being spoiled by him.

gildarts and cana go on daddy-daughter dates and she'd rather drink bleach than let other people find out about it. gildarts is just happy to be there.

natsu and cana have had this conversation: "so, are we, like, siblings now?" "excuse me?" "because, like, gildarts is basically my dad, and he's your dad. so..." "we are not siblings, natsu." "okay, didn't know you liked being an only child so much." "go fuck yourself."

gildarts knows lucy is going to be his daughter in law. he doesn't know if it's going to be from her marrying natsu or from her marrying cana.

wakaba would sneak teenage gray cigarettes. erza, mirajane, and makarov almost killed him when they found out about it.

mira is aroace, feeling absolutely no romantic attraction and being sex repulsed, but she is absolutely obsessed with other peoples' love lives. she thrives on it.

lisanna is fairy tail's resident lesbian and is a little in love with every girl she meets.

how good I think fairy tail characters are at traveling pt. 1

♡ gray fullbuster -> he's calm and reliable; he'll check the route before the trip and always have a map on hand to make sure you're going the right way. overall a 9/10 experience. -1 point because he doesn't make time to stop and look at trinkets >:(

*this is if you're traveling just with him though. if you add basically anyone else, including natsu, cana, loke, or lucy, gray will become completely distracted and you might never get to your destination.

♡ erza scarlet -> she'll get you to your destination. you might obtain life-altering trauma, bury a body, and become a local eldtritch legend, but you will get to your destination. 8/10 if you don't mind coming out of the experience Changed.

♡ mirajane strauss -> this can go one of two ways. if you're with other people, mira goes into Big Sister Mode, and you will get to your destination with minimal shenanigans. she does factor in Trinket Time, so overall a 10/10 experience. if it's just mira, though, prepare to go on a spiritual rollercoaster. no plans, no tickets, no maps, just vibes. mira likes to explore new towns and cities without worrying about a schedule or keeping track of other people. she has disappeared for a week straight to just wander around fiore. it's about the journey, not the destination, y'know?

♡ lucy heartfilia -> this poor girl isn't directionally challenged but she is financially challenged. will accidentally spend your train money on a cute necklace in whatever town you're stopping in. she's a good travel companion, willing to socialize with the locals and find out the best sight-seeing and restaurant spots. allocates a bit too much time for Trinkets. you'll probably arrive at your destination with empty pockets but full hearts (and shopping bags.) a 7.5/10, could be higher or lower depending on how much you value your wallet.

♡ natsu dragneel -> just give up. if he doesn't scoop you up in his arms as happy flies the two of you in the completely wrong direction, natsu's probably wandering off without you. gets distracted by everything: food, shiny objects, bickering people. you're working double time to get to your destination in one piece AND not lose natsu in the process. a 4/10 that can be upgraded to a 6 or 7 if you buy him a fire-resistant leash backpack.

♡ sting eucliffe -> surprisingly, he's the one coordinating your trip. all cheery smiles and lighthearted jokes, he makes it look easy. you don't even know what train you're getting on or how long the ride is, you just trust sting. he's charming everyone: the train conductor, the old ladies at the market stalls, the young ticket seller at the station. all of that completely disappears once you get on the train and sting is reduced to a nauseous puddle of dragon slayer. 10/10 experience as long as he doesn't throw up on you <2

♡ gajeel levy and pantherlily -> where's gajeel? you don't know. he was supposed to be at the station half an hour ago, he won't answer his lacrima, he's gone off the map. don't worry, though, levy and pantherlily will keep you company. 2/10 for gajeel. the worst part is, he shows up at your destination before you! he didn't even take the train or fly with lily! he's just... there somehow.

erza scarlet + expiration dates: a headcanon

erza takes expiration dates so seriously it’s basically a moral code. if you eat something past the date, she looks at you like you just committed a federal crime.

once saw gray drinking milk that expired that morning and immediately started planning his funeral.

“you don’t understand,” she told lucy once. “this is how wars start.”

natsu is her worst nightmare. he’ll just grab literal mystery food and eat it like it’s no big deal.

"it builds immunity," he says.

"it builds your chances of dying," she says.

the one time she truly feared for gajeel’s life was when he pulled a sandwich out of his pocket and said "huh. forgot about this." she prayed out loud.

levy: “erza it’s just a yogurt—” erza, already throwing it in the trash: “DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH.”

mirajane tried to tell her that "best by" dates are just suggestions. erza just stared at her and said, "so is jaywalking, but would you walk into traffic?"

the guild now hides expired food from her because if she sees it, she will start a full-scale investigation and nobody is ready for that.

rumor has it she once made wendy run a full medical exam on natsu just to check how he’s still alive after everything he’s eaten.

listen. erza has been through too much to let expired mayonnaise take her out. she doesn’t care how fine it looks—if it says it’s expired, it’s DEAD TO HER. she’s literally the only reason fairy tail hasn’t been wiped out by natsu’s food choices alone.

Some of mine include:

The Strauss’s parents are still alive, but they were part of the crowd that turned on Mira. Elfman and Lisanna ran away to stay with her.

Fried was raised in a high society family, but was disowned after coming out to them.

Gray did attempt suicide once when he was a teenager. A few months later when Lisanna “died”, he saw what that did to everyone else in the guild and swore to never try it again. It took something as extreme as what happened on Galuna to push him past that edge again.

Like Medusa, Evergreen’s stone eyes were actually a curse. She hated herself for them until she met Fried and Bickslow and saw what they could do with their eye magic.

I'm a big fan of sad/dark headcanons. I really like those! Especially the Strauss one. Imagine the parents being the first to turn on them and the heartbreak they went through

As much as Erza tries, she hasn't fully forgiven Jellal. Sometimes she'll have flashbacks to what he did while their alone and has to fight it down. She loves him and trusts him, but part of her will always fear him (he's noticed these random moments and it kills him)

Similarly, Lisanna flinches when Elfman lifts his hands. Everytime she thinks he's going to hit her like he did all those years ago. At first it was just when he was using his takeover but now it's all the time. She doesn't know why it's getting worse

Juvia was sexually abused when she first joined Phantom Lord. She trained hard to protect herself and that's how she became S-Class. It was all about survival

Natsu self harms. He doesn't realize he's doing it because it's not the 'usual' methods. One of the main things he does is shred his skin with his nails/claws. He plays it off as training injuries

A lot of the women cannot have children or have really hard pregnancies because of all the injuries they've sustained. Specifically Juvia, Erza, Kagura, and Ultear cannot have kids. Levy, Lucy, Minerva, and Kinana would have very complicated pregnancies

All of the children of the tower of heaven have a hard time taking jobs that require construction. The PTSD of being slaves will never leave them. A lot of them actually can't do any building at all without having breakdowns. (This is why Erza takes on a leader role when rebuilding the guild. She wants it done as fast as possible to minimize the chance of having an episode)

Wendy's fear of abandonment is way worse than she lets on. She has nightmares constantly about the entire guild disappearing again, her friends dying, or worse. When people go on long jobs, she often gets antsy and needs to be reminded that they will return and are safe. Carla can barely leave her side most days

I’m currently rewatching fairy tail and I was wondering do you have any redesigns on any of the characters? I always love hearing people thoughts on characters from appearances, to backstory to even little quirks ^^ sorry if my English isn’t good

Pretty much all the characters have head canons incorporated when I draw them but here are two !

Natsu is more dragon like, you can’t see it because I didn’t colour but some parts of his body is darker for hardens skin/scales, personally I think he’s pretty short, his hair is more wavy/curly then in canon, it looks more poofy though as he just dries his hair by lighting himself on fire. Depending on which head canon set I am drawing for natsu has curses ingrained on his body that shows up sometimes, they’re pretty artistic in their appearance as it’s zeref’s spell and I think him and their mom would do some art stuffs sometimes and that’s how he made the spells look when he created them

Erza actually has muscles, she has scars and her heels are more square, I like her girl bossing but come on the ones she has is a bit of a stretch. I think she’s pretty tall which helps her intimidation. And of course SHORTS UNDER THE SKIRT, with how much she jumps around?? Let’s NOT flash everyone queen, usually I’d change their outfits a lot more but these drawing are based more on the canon fits.

For general changes I do change body types and skin tones a lot because I feel like theres a lot of the same stuff and some characters could definitely do with some change
