Erza is going to be very loving toward the child, she knows what it’s like to be in a shitty living situation as a child so she’s going to be one of the best people for the job. 

She going to make sure to give the child enough space when they are feeling overwhelmed and she’s going to make sure that they’re comfortable at all times.

The child is going to learn just how good of a listener Erza is and how she’s got the best advice for someone going through this. 

If the child is too young to be able to understand any of this stuff she is going to make sure to give them lots of a reassurance and cuddles when the child is comfortable in doing so.  

Erza is going to make sure that after this child is settled and when they are ready that they learn to be just a strong as she is. She’s going to be willing to train them if they’re willing to learn. 

She wants this child to know that even tho they are adopted they are a part of her family and are now a part of her. 

Mirajane Strauss

Mirajane’s loving nature is going to give her a good angle with a child that comes from an abused situation. She’s going to be able to comfort the child in almost any situation that comes around. 

She’s got a voice that will almost instantly soothe the child whenever she speaks to them. It’s calm and sweet no matter what the situation which is something perfect for a child who might have gotten yelled at a lot. 

Mirajane has the best cuddles so you can bet that there will be plenty of love in her household for the child to have. 

And she’s going to make sure that Elfman is on board with being the supportive uncle and giving the child a sense of having a male figure in their life where they might need it. 

She’s going to be the kind of mother that carries snacks around with her at all times and makes sure to have extra of everything just in case. She’s prepared at all times and is proud of that.

Just like Erza she’s going to make sure that the child knows that being adopted doesn’t mean that she loves them any less than if they were biologically hers.

Juvia is going to fall in love with the child the second that she meets them. It doesn’t take much for her to fall in love with someone. She’s going to want to cherish every moment that she can with the child. 

One of the first people that the child is going to meet in their life is going to be Gray, and Juvia is going to do everything in her power to make sure that Gray will be the male figure that the child will need in their life at some point. 

She’s going to be the overprotective mother that lets nothing happen to their child. But she knows when to put the brakes on when she needs to. She doesn’t want anyone to harm her child and if you do then prepare for the wrath of Juvia. And knowing the child’s past is going to make her even more protective of them.

She’s going to be a little awkward at first when it comes to comforting the child when they are having a hard time, but she’s going to eventually get the hang of it, and once she does she’ll be one of the best at comforting them that there is. 

Juvia is going to tell them all about how she got into Fairy Tail and how it correlates her love for them. She’ll tell them with how Fairy Tail loves her just as much as any member of the Guild, just like she loves them whether they are related by blood or not. Family is family. 

She’s going to swoon over every little thing that the child does and be their number one supporter in anything and everything that they do. She’s their number one fan and nothing can change that.

So, I was rewatching the Galuna Arc when this particular scene between Erza and Gray gave me a new headcanon about our favorite redhead. It's that some of Erza's swords are purposefully blunted (or magicked) so that they don't actually cut or truly hurt the people she's attacking because Erza doesn't want to kill people. She just wants to beat them up. And hit them with swords. Because Erza.

Pantherlily does not like to be carried like the other exceeds. He's not a kid like the others plus he's got that soldier pride going on. The most he'll do is sit on someone's shoulder if he feels like it. (Plus his default mode for his whole life was being 6ft tall, so being picked up or treated like a cat is,,,,,,uncomfortable for him to say the least).

Everyone's always wary of getting their hands too close to Natsu's face during a guild brawl. He's unpredictable and they never know which days he's feeling like sinking his teeth into someone's arm.

Erza always has some sort of armour piece or weapon on her. Ehe could be wearing jeans and a t shirt but she's wearing gauntlets or paldron. Swimsuit but she's got a small hatchet on a belt with hatchet. Party dress but she's got chainmail on over it. It looks weird but the physical safety helps her feel more comfortable.

Levy loves books but she also dog ears em, or makes notes in em. Her choice favourites have coffee stains on em. Lucy loves her but she sleeps in fear when she has to lend Levy a book.

Aside from the usual mage jobs, Cana gets a lot of free liqour from breweries to sample and endorse their products which especially happened way more often after GMG. This does not stop her from running up tabs at the guild or other bars.

Before becoming a couple, Erza and s/o started out as close friends.

They would go on missions together, train together, and were practically inseparable, causing many members of the guild to think they were already a couple.

In secret, Erza and s/o did have feelings for each other, but were too afraid of ruining their friendship to confess.

Eventually, these feelings get too overwhelming as Erza suddenly kisses s/o in front of everyone and tells him how she feels about him.

“I’m not great with sentiment, but….I have feelings for you s/o. In fact, I think I’m…in love with…you. I completely understand if you don’t return my feelings s/o, just know that you’ll always be important to me.”

S/o stares at her for a moment before letting out a small chuckle, much to Erza’s confusion and slightly irritation.

Despite being a very skilled mage himself, that doesn’t stop Erza from being protective over s/o.

If anyone insults s/o or questions his and Erza’s relationship, she will shoot them the scariest glare known to man.

S/o is rather skilled at baking, and loves to surprise his girlfriend by making her strawberry cakes (the first time he made her one, Erza was just about ready to marry him right then and there).

Over time, Erza became much more open to affection and being lovey-dovey with her boyfriend, leading to s/o becoming showered with hugs and kisses from her.

Hugs can be…painful for s/o, as Erza tends to accidentally slam his head into her armor, causing her to feel bad and apologize profusely.

S/o is Erza’s first romantic relationship, resulting in her getting jealous easily.

Erza very rarely gets injured on a mission, but if she were, then her boyfriend is there by her side to take care of her until she recovers.

The other members of Fairy Tail are very supportive of their relationship, seeing how happy s/o makes Erza and vice versa.

Dates often take place away from the guild, as the first few dates they had were often accidentally ruined by their fellow guild mates in one way or another (for example : s/o once prepared a picnic for him and Erza, only for it to be interrupted by a brawl between Natsu and Gray, leading to all the food getting ruined by being scorched or iced over).

Erza likes going shopping with s/o, as it means spending alone time with him and getting ideas on what to get him for birthdays, Christmas, etc.

S/o’s favorite dates are when he and Erza take a nice long walk through the forest at night, as he appreciates the peace and quiet (The Fairy Tail Guild can be a loud and rambunctious lot at times), and can have alone time with his girlfriend.

Needless to say, both Erza and s/o love each other very much, and are happy to have each other, not just as close friends anymore, but as a very loving couple.

This one hits home for me, my husband has dealt with this and honestly my headcanons feel like I reflect off how he reacted to the first time it happened with us.

Erza

~She's a loud person in general, and she wasn't any better when she argued. She had pointed a certain direction and as she whipped her hand that way their S/O flinched.

~Her eyes widen, all anger in her chest dissipated as she realized the situation at hand. She's heard the horror stories of their past, and it hurt her that her S/O may think that she'd do anything to hurt them.

~"Wait, I wouldn't do anything like that to you!" Erza would say, the conversation turning to acknowledge the reaction they had. Their S/O would have to explain that it's a natural reaction, that it isn't something they can control.

~Erza has a hard time understanding it. It's a normal reaction from many people around the guild to have due to her many brawls between other guildmates. Everyone always comes at her for being excessive, so it was hard to hear it wasn't her fault.

~She'll ignore the argument, instead wanting to work on their S/O. It isn't something that one conversation will fix, and even if it takes Erza a while to realize this, she'll never put any blame on their S/O.

~Erza avoids arguments after that, she doesn't like seeing their S/O react that way at them and it takes time for the two of them to work through it.

~Erza's no quitter though, so she'll understand and work with them to move past the trauma that caused them to react so skittish during confrontation!

Mirajane

~She was surprised to see her S/O curl in on themselves when she had threw her hands up in exasperation. It was their first real argument and so she never realized how deep rooted their trauma was.

~She's well aware of their past trauma, and though that reaction was upsetting, she's understanding and handles the situation delicatly. She'll soften her tone and keep any movements slow and obvious.

~She'll also ignore the argument to focus on this, but it's to get them to open up about things and to talk out the feelings they felt when she had raised her arms. She'll touch back onto their argument later, but in all honesty it's the best option since the two of them will be more levelheaded about it.

~Now that she knows you react that way she makes an effort to keep it in mind the next time they argue. She's considerate of their feelings, and doesn't want to escalate any issues by giving their S/O unnecessary anxiety.

~Honestly she'd be a great therapist if she wasn't such an incredible mage. She's got a great listening ear and never judges anything she hears.

~Her first reaction was anger, how could they think she would put her hands on them??? Though before she calls them out on it she bites her tongue. They're shaking ever so slightly and has an almost far away look that isn't anywhere in her direction.

~She'll focus more on the argument at hand rather than the flinching, but she loses interest in it pretty fast. She'll cave early on and once things settle down is when she brings it up.

~She wasn't an idiot, she knows the signs of abuse when she sees it. She'll get a frumpy look on her face as she crosses her arms, "So who did this to you?"

~She's no professional and she's not good at delving into their S/O's trauma, but she really does try. She tries to get to the bottom of it, but she wont force out any traumatic memories either. She has a hard time listening to these things, her protective nature making her want to knock the shit out of whoever hurt them.

~She's pretty bad at holding herself back at first, but any argument that turns into her S/O flinching, she'll do the same as before while also keeping her motioning in check. She doesn't want to upset their S/O, they just don't think about those things when they first start arguing.

Headcanons None Asked For

Natsu

Can cook, is better than Lucy at it since he's the one making meals in their house. The rumor that he burns down the kitchen is true to an extent but only when he puts extra effort to make the food better.

Often practises his signature to make it more readable 'cause he feels he's has the weirdest one out of the team. Boy gets embarassed when caught by his friends, esp Lucy since she won't stop teasing him about it for weeks.

He actually tries to remember people's names, significant places and other necessary things. Notes them down in his personal diary which none knows about. Not even Happy.

Likes wearing matching wrist bands with Lucy and buys a pair everytime he sees one and now they have more than twenty colors of them.

Had secretly bought a maid costume that he wishes to see Lucy put on for him someday but lacks the courage to tell her.

Gets along with Loke really well despite all the ridiculous arguements. They often train together when Loke is free from flirting with girls.

Has severe PTSD about Lucy's supposed death and has terrible nightmares about losing her often but Lucy doesn't know about it.

He has stolen one of Lucy's shirts and holds it to his chest when she's not around and he misses her.

May not be the most fashionable among the team but he's def not the worst. He loves keeping up with the trends.

Lucy

Takes regular cooking classes from Mira and is passionate about baking.

Is execeptionally amazing at drawing and sometimes wonders if she should start illustrating comics and mangas. 'Cause that's profitable.

Is a really good narrator and often spends a lot of time reading stories to the kids around, esp when they gather around her altogether with those puppy eyes. Requesting her to read them a new book they probably found at the library.

She knows how much Natsu loves to see her in Virgo form and so she takes full advantage of that by going for the maid outfit when she needs to distract him while sparring with him.

Even tho she won't go back to the Heartfilia mansion, she wants to get it back because it's a momento of their family and her childhood, esp her parents. She separates a part of her earning for that purpose, knowing it will take years sum up the amount. She doesn't lose hope.

She has kept one of Natsu's oversized shirts and wears them at home, ofc when she's sure he won't barge in or when he's on solo jobs which is rare. It really embarasses her but she does like his smell, a lot actually.

Her fav magic is requip but that's 'cause she thinks it's goes really well with fashionable people. They keep their pretty dresses all locked in the dimension, get to change into their preferred one at any moment and in a matter of a few seconds.

Erza

Wants to get back at Jellal for not kissing her back then by bringing up a fake fiance. Someday she will.

Straight up horrible at cooking but that doesn't stop her from thinking she's better than Mira.

Her signature is really beautiful, second to only Lucy.

Doesn't like wearing maid outfits.

Spends a lot of time practising sword-fighting with Panther Lily and often teaches Lucy new techniques for her Cancer form.

Seems like a pure dom, is actually a sub but only for her man Jellal.

Has cavities 'cause of overeating sweets and hides it since she's afraid to go to dentists.

She gets along with Ichiya pretty well and they're actually good friends except for the times when he tries making cheap moves on her.

Isn't good with babies at all, kids get scared even when she's nice to them.

Wendy

Aromantic and asexual

Doesn't like being near boys around her age much except Romeo, 'cause she likes having a little bro.

Loves picnics and fun day outs more than everyone else.

Is really good at baking, nearly as good as Mira and often teaches Lucy.

Is really popular among exceeds. Often visits them in her free time.

As much as he loves ice, he hates eating it.

He's the biggest fan of Lucy's novels and competes with Levy to get the first copy of the release.

Mount Hakobe is his fav place to train.

Is really fascinated by Celestial magic and wonders at times if he could do it just as good as Lucy.

•Lisanna told Juvia that her Edolas counterpart loved rain.

•When Juvia feeling bad ,she often goes to the sea or the lake, or the river, because looking at the water makes her feel better.

•When Erza and Mira learned of the hideous way Bora treated Juvia, they added the mage to their blacklist.

•When Cana learned that the Bora who had kidnapped Lucy was also Juvia's ex-boyfriend, she told the celestial mage that it was a strange coincidence that she was involved with the same boys as the water mage.

•Lucy is convinced that she is the only normal person in the Fairy Tail guild.

•When Lucy found out that Juvia had found out about her involvement with Bora, she panicked and asked everyone for help, but everyone told her she was exaggerated and paranoid.

•Loke considers Juvia off-limits, as him has noticed that Gray is interested in her, and also because Mira and Erza have threatened him not to intrude.

•Natsu was convinced that Juvia and Gray had been together ever since she joined Fairy Tail. He was shocked when he realized that no, that Juvia was not Gray's girlfriend.

•Gray has always observed Juvia a lot, so surprisingly he knows what she likes and what she doesn't.

My Personal Team Natsu Headcanons Because its My Hyperfixation and I Get to Choose How to Cling to Them:

Lucy is the shortest adult and has a more curvy body type that starts as cute chub and over the course of the first season turns into muscle. Lucy's hair is wavier and she's always wearing several pieces of jewelry. Freckles dust most of her body in a color that matches her eyes.

Natsu is the second shortest adult. He has more reptilian features due to the dragon slayer magic (all dragon slayers have sharper reptilian features). He has abs at first but as he learns to control his magic output it becomes a healthier bulk, though he stays slimmer than the other slayers. Also freckles. Soooo many freckles from all that light exposure with the fire.

Gray is the second tallest adult, he has a paler appearance like Lucy does though he still has a naturally light tan skintone. More scars than just the forehead one and he has piercings on his ears and eyebrows. His build is relatively similar to the Canon one this man does not take care of himself

Erza is the tallest and most muscular member of the team, her nose has the distinct bump of an improperly healed break and she has Light Dustings of freckles though they aren't as strong as Lucy and natsus. She also has a distinct scar across the socket with a glass eye.

Every team member has scars. It doesn't make sense that they don't have more and also they're sexy.

Wendy has to heal natsu the most as his style tends to be more reckless and wild.

Lucy, Gray, and Erza are all bi and in a poly relationship. Wendy is a newly out lesbian in the final season, and Natsu is AroAce but initiates group cuddle sessions more than anybody else.

Lucy and Erza regularly spar per Lucy's request after the one year disbandment

Gray and Natsu had crushes on eachother when they were younger but never acted on it and then natsu realized he was aromantic

Happy is a fluffier exceed while Charles is a short haird one

Lucy and Gray got together first and both admitted to having crushes on erza before approaching her with an idea she couldn't refuse

Lucy still had a crush on natsu for a long time but once natsu told her about his identity as an aroace man she backed off and just got closer to him as besties
