An interesting observation maybe but do you think fix-it aus are underrated in Eruri fandom? Or Attack on Titan fandom in general? My SW and Demon Slayer ships have all one dead member and I swear it's really common to see fix-it fics where the dead character lives/survives and it made me think of Eruri. I guess we as a fandom very depressed because it's all just angst and in most fics Erwin dies either way and if he doesn't, Levi does asdfgdSDFGdsfg Do you know have any good fix-it fics :D Do you think Eruri happy ending is very underrated?

That’s a really interesting question.  I mean there are plenty of fix it fics in the Eruri fandom, but it’s true that there perhaps aren’t as many as you might expect, given the untimely death of such a beloved character.  I think part of the problem is that allowing Erwin to live doesn’t actually fix anything, in fact it arguably makes it worse.  The whole point of Levi’s choice was that he allowed Erwin to die with his dreams intact, rather than dragging him back to the hell of the world where people saw him as nothing more than a monster.   In order to really fix canonverse, you have to find a way for Erwin to survive, without becoming the “devil himself” and being crippled by overwhelming guilt, and you also have to prevent the Rumbling, eradicate the Titans, end the persecution of the Eldian people, and resolve the centuries old conflict between Paradis and Marley.  That’s quite a tall order! This is one of the reasons that a lot of Erwin Lives fics tend to be more than a little angsty. 

In terms of fic recs, before Midnight Sun, there were quite a lot of “after the war” fics written, where the Titans are vanquished and Erwin and Levi learn to live on with each other after the conflict. After Midnight Sun, Titan!Erwin fics became popular, the majority of which are either gut wrenchingly sad, ridiculously horny, or more often than not, a combination of both. There are a few fics where Levi actually does break Erwin's legs which, unsurprisingly, are pretty devastating (No Regrets by supasafeboss & King Under Ground by WhisperDan.) More recently there have been some great fics where Erwin survives and does his utmost to resolve the conflict through political means or other means. Levi sits under a window, legs stuck like magnets to the cold metal of his chair. He is saving his strength for when they visit, Gabi and Falco and Onyankopon, all determined smiles and obvious cheer. He wonders again if it was worth it, looking at the dull edges of his old swords hung on the opposite wall. He follows the thoughts to the same conclusion as always, thumbing the warm stone of Erwin’s medal on his neck. Some nights he can almost smell woodsmoke from a fire, almost hear the laughter of voices he loved from the next room.

Fiona/Spinosaurus: Billy Murray + "Old" Rosie O'Donnell, speed freak. easy going, fast driving, tomboy-athlete, quick wit, need for speed. When not burning rubber she's “kicking it” with the guys.

Caruso/Stegosaurus: wants to be cool at any price, changes personality at will, bit funny, bit like Scooby, empty headed ego. Thinks he's better than others, ultimate wannabe, incredibly vain and self-centered, attention span of a gnat. Every new passion is his ticket to mega-stardom. A teen version of Ben Stiller's Zoolander, "I'm too sexy for my shirt”.

Buzz/Pteranodon: false hero, scared, bitchy funny, bit like Shaggy, tough-talking loudmouth, all show no guts. Wants to be a tough hero, but afraid of own shadow. The bigger they are, the harder they fear! Joe Pesci as the Cowardly Lion, turned Cowardly Dino.

Rodger/Styracosaurus: Chris Rock + MacGiver, under appreciated, gets no respect, makes cool multi-tools... “and it also makes great cappuccino!” Why? Because it can! wise-cracking, limitless technical skills, drives others crazy with an endless practical jokes.

🗣Another Armin AU bc my boi can never win

This is just doodles of one (of my MANY) Armin AUs except it’s more of a Hisu & Armin AU.(not as a ship)

I literally have so many Armin AUs but this is the only one I have a cohesive plot for and I’ve been working on the first TWO CHAPTERS for the past yr.

🗣️I hate having so many ideas🗣️…anyways. This doesn’t right away show how it gets to this point but I thought it’d be fun to post with the lack of context.

Gawd I hate it when the exact idea I come up with for a fic doesn’t already exist so I have to write it myself except the last time I ever wrote anything was for a cringe MHA fic I thought I was eating with💀💀👩🏽‍🦯(don’t ask, but when I do finish the first couple chapters everyone will see it anyways bc I’m too lazy to create a whole diff account to have all my works on😔)

^(For partial context) Armin instills something in Erwin when he goads the captains into playing a game that’s most common in the gambling scene lmao. There WILL be slight Berumin but unrequited on Bert’s end (ik Reiner looks weird but it makes it funnier) YES MARCO LIVES😤. Armin himself will not be present for a good portion of the beginning of the story despite being there the whole time, confusing I know…….Historia and Armin are codependent bitches 🤝. And Jearmin💙🎀Connie is an unintentional Gossip Girl(mostly an instigator too but not on purpose).

Also there’s a rly big plot point I’m still not certain on but the pros and cons heavily influence how Levi will view Armin for some time during the story, I just don’t know which route to do yet bc each greatly affects another part of the story that’s dependent on the pros of the setting it takes place in.
