mac and dennis drive me insane bc theres like so much to unpack? bc macs been in love w dennis since forever (s1-5), but his internalised homophobia gets in the way and thats why he gets even more homophobic until he comes out and goes back into the closet then comes out fr in hero or hate crime?

and then once he accepts it its like the fucking backlog of emotion and love mac had just came pouring out of him, but by then dennis was sick of waiting for him so he tried moving on. but then all of a sudden mac and dennis were back to normal in season 15? what was that!

and dennis thinks by then that mac is Over him, but we know from that One Touch and One Look (rob mcelhenney youre getting an emmy just for that) that mac is very much NOT over dennis and was just lying to himself up to that point, and finally finally mac makes the move and he thinks alright maybe maybe maybe its time to fucking move on, and he meets johnny and johnny communicates via anal beads and its batshit insane but its something and its someone real and its not dennis reynolds for once in his life.

but then it IS, its dennis and mac are stuck in the same cycle again and again, can he never be free from him? can dennis ever fucking accept that he has to say something or mac will really, truly, leave one day?
