7. Realistically, could your OC (in their normal circumstances- i.e. at their own house/battlecamp/spaceship etc.) keep a small child alive for a week if they had to?  A Dog?  A Houseplant? A rock with a  smiley face painted on?

Well… surprisingly Lyn rehabilitates a coyote (Amelie, who Lyn loves to bring to Rangers HQ), so she can be more attentive and caring than she thought she was capable of. She just can’t really turn that care onto herself... tho she’ll happily project it on her ‘dog’. Lyn found her alone and trapped, no one to take care of her... it reminded her of a time she’d rather not think about, being able to give her dog a different life was... a big deal.

15. How often does your OC “zone out” or do things on autopilot and how severe have the problems that have arisen from that been? 

She tries not to while in public. Lyn’s paranoid, the idea of her doing anything outside of her apartment (or later lair) and not really remembering how it happened is a rather uncomfortable thought to put it mildly. But it does happen from time to time, when she’s too tired and worn out from nightmares. She’ll be standing outside a shop having taken a route that she’s apparently taken enough times to let her guard down. Lyn takes that as a sign that she’s gotten too comfortable and has to find a new store and new routes. It’s exhausting...

24. how do they typically come across to strangers? tofriends? do they frequently use their telepathy to influence others’perceptions of them?

Des goes out of her way to seem like this vulnerable,pitiable person. She’s mostly just forgettable by strangers, which she helps bywiping their memory when she feels like they pay too much attention to her.Seriously, she makes an effort to be underestimated and written off as a weaknobody.

This is lot more difficult to do with people who knewher as Sidestep and since she spends time with Ortega some of the ‘real’ hercomes to surface quite. She’s snarky, petty, empathic definitely notforgettable. But that’s only when the mask slips and usually it’s only aroundOrtega or when she’s super angry or surprisingly around Chen.

Oh boy, she does use her telepathy to influence others’perception of her so often she almost forgets what it feels like to not do it.Most of people wouldn’t be able even describe what she looks like. They wouldn’teven notice they knew nothing until someone asks them and all details just sliptheir mind like when you are trying to remember a dream and more you try toremember the less you know. Also many people would bet their money on Des beingvery short around which is not a case.

31. what is their combat style like?

Des isn’t the person who takes risks if she doesn’thave to. She usually uses stealth to accomplish her goals. Otherwise she’s avery defensive fighter. She won’t go out of the way to attack someone or attackfirst, luring her opponent in to strike first? Yes. With her it’s all about waiting for the right opportunity to strike. She’s also very flexible and very fast, lacks strenght though and her stamina sucks
