what a beautiful and immersive bit of story telling

truly the best written thing i have ever read, and just the most wonderful story with the best pacing for the story within it and just fantastic characters

time to read the starless sea next, i know truly nothing about it besides it being a story about stories, and consider how great this story was?

!!! I would love to!!! Um!!! Uuummmmm!!!

.....I don't know where to start!!! :(

Umm. Okay, so, the first arc is about Rusty!!!

...warrior cats is split up into arcs that are 6 books long!

OKAY so Rusty is a kittypet, but one day he hops the fence to go hunt for a mouse for fun, but he gets attacked by something!!! (っ°O°c) it's okay though!!! He fights really well and the other cat introduces himself as Graypaw!!! He's a warrior in training. And then Rusty gets invited to join THUNDERCLAN!!! ⸜(｡˃ ヮ ˂ )⸝ so he does and then LONGTAIL (¬_¬ ) makes fun of him for being a kittypet. So Rusty fights and his collar snaps off!!! Abd then Bluestar- that's the Thunderclan leader!!- names him Firepaw!!!

...oh and also another apprentice Ravenpaw bursts in and announces that Redtail, the deputy, got killed during a fight near the sunningrocks, and Tigerclaw says that Oakheart- the deputy from RiverClan- did it and he killed Oakheart as revenge and Bluestar makes Lionheart the new deputy (This is important later!! ;))

So, Firepaw goes out on his first hunting patrol on his own and meets a rogue!!! They're not supposed to be on clan territory, so he attacks her!! He wins because he's super cool and then realises she's, like, STARVING, so he catches her a rabbit and eats some himself- except that breaks the warrior code =[ so he gets in trouble for it. The cat turns out to be YELLOWFANG!!!! o(＾ワ＾)o the old shadowclan medicine cat and firepaw has to like, take care of her as punishment for eating the rabbit.

So then Firepaw goes to his first clan meeting!!! \(^ヮ^)/ Brokenstar, the shadowclan leader, announces that since their clan is so big they drove off windclan because they need to hunt on their territory (HE SUCKS!!!)

Oh yeah!! And also the ShadowClan apprentices look really small!!! AND brokenstar says that a rogue killed some shadowclan kits and she should be killed immediately if you spot her. So everyone in thunderclan thinks it's yellowfang (EVEN THOUGH SHE'S THE BEST!!) But Bluestar is smarter than everyone else and says that nobody can hurt Yellowfang because brokenstar didn't say it was her

So then Bluestar goes to the Moonstone, but the only really important thing that happens is we meet Barley (he's also the greatest!!) And Tigerclaw doesn't trust him because he's a loner (not a clan cat, rogue or kittypet!)

SHADOWCLAN ATTACKS THE THUNDERCLAN CAMP!!! (っ>⁠o⁠<⁠c) LIONHEART GETS KILLED!!! TIGERCLAW THE NEW DEPUTY!!ヽ(＾Д＾)ﾉ Ravenpaw tells Firepaw something!!

Remember Redtail?? Well, IT TURNS OUT, TIGERCLAW was the one who killed him so that he could be the deputy, and Ravenpaw is scared that Tigerclaw is gonna kill him to keep his secret!! (TIGERCLAW SUCKS MORE THAN BROKENSTAR!!)

FROSTFUR'S KITS ARE MISSING!!! SPOTTEDLEAF (the medicine cat!) IS DEAD!! (Attavking medicine cats is actually against the warrior code, meaning that whoever did it is EVIL!!!) Tigerclaw says it must have been Yellowfang, and that Ravenpaw helped her!! (He DIDN'T!!!)

Bluestar asks Firepaw to find Yellowfang because she'll listen to him, so he takes Ravenpaw and Graypaw and sends Ravenpaw to live with Barley, because it's too dangerous in ThunderClan. Then they find Yellowfang!!! (ᵔヮᵔ) and theb Yellowfang tells them that brorkenstar SUCKS!!!!! And he's been making kits into apprenstices at just 3 MOONS OLD!!! Which is half of what they're meant to be!!! (⇀‸↼‶) he framed Yellowfang for the murder of Brightflower's kits and that's why she got exiled!!

So then ThunderClan teams up with some older warriors from ShadowClan who also got kicked out by brokenstar, and they raid the ShadowClan camp!!!! (っ>⁠o⁠<⁠c) Brokenstar says that HE killed Brightflower's kits AND Raggedstar, the old ShadowClan leader and HIS OWN FATHER!!! So they drive out Broakenstar and teh cat s who agreed with him using the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP and then tehy get the kits back!!! WOOHOO!!! ✧⁠\⁠(⁠^ワ^)⁠ﾉ⁠✧

Firepaw tells Tigerclaw and everyone else that Ravempaw died because it's not safe for him, and that Clawface took the kits. And Bluestar invites Yellowfang to officially join the clan as the medicine cat!!!

And then, finally... Firepaw gets his WARRIOR NAME!!! \(^ヮ^)/ Graypaw becomes Graystripe, and he becomes Fireheart!!! o(＾ワ＾)o

And THAT'S the first book!!! Oh, uh... wow, that's really long...! Uh!! Read warrior cats!!!

Just clocked off from my last shift at the bookstore. Very bittersweet. Its been over 5 years, but it was time. The store vibe has changed soooooo much it isnt recognizable, so it isnt as saddening to leave as it might have been.

The new store manager is horrendous and literally has hired people to replace the old crew who run the store. He promised a transfer control of the kids section, which is currently run by one of the backbones of the store who has worked for this store for 13 years. He has been caught multiple times lying to our faces. He is also very condescending in every interaction. He has had several instances where hr has been/should have been called. Basically its a powder keg waiting to explode and it is looking like I am just missing the explosion.

But we will see. I will be away from the fallout, no longer facing burnout, and no longer struggling through the rapid vibe change that occurred/is occurring. Its a relief to be away from the toxicity that the store was becoming. I will probably be emotional about this once it sinks in. I did love working there, and had been for 5 1/2 years. The longest job I've had.

On the subject of Nightheart, though, I’m like. Fascinated by him. I seriously dislike characters like Myrtlebloom who are like EVERYONE WANTS TO BE RELATED TO FIRESTAR, like girl you are also descended from Firestar.

But I also really like having a protagonist that sucks. He sucks so much. He’s overconfident, he doesn’t listen to others, he’s full of self confidence and self loathing at the same time. And I’m excited to see him like, actually become a better cat. Maybe make some lasting relationships (THAT AREN’T ROMANTIC) and like, just learn to become Nightheart, a warrior he can be proud of.

Also very excited to see how disastrous his time in ShadowClan’s gonna be. Gonna be in the background chanting “you suck!! You suck!!!” But lovingly on the condition he changes and grows and becomes better.

Andrew and Erin are absolutely the same person.

They would definitely be so worried if anyone they knew got sick. They are literally the mom friend. You can't change my mind.

I would give more reasons why they are the same but I don't want, and I think it's obvious lol
