I can’t remember when i started this but it took me until a bit less than a week ago.

The new subway has just been opened in Trolberg and who better to run it than the Subway Masters themselves?

Love how hilda just handles contradictory traits in its characters like:

Johanna: everything about her has revolved around protecting and being there for Hilda. Shes the ultimate badass parent. Yet, for a moment at least, she was almost going to put her lost childhood above her daughters future.

Victoria: arguably the most capable villian in the whole series. Bloody dangerous. Knows it and that she can't change. Becomes the hero - not by changing but by being the villain to the worse villain… heroically?

Frida: super smart and organised. Except she's actually a complete slob in her bedroom but doesn’t realise cause it gets magically cleaned. Legit thinks that’s how bedrooms work until she actually says it out loud.

Erik: completely self centered. Will bully people to get his way. Stubborn af and won't listen to anything contrary to what he wants. But actually emphasises with the trolls desire to see thier mother and let's them

Gerda: super competent, super focused and serious when it comes to her work. We don't get to see enough of this cause she always working and running after Erik - but is... kinda a silly little goofball. Sings in her bedroom. Runs to do her next work task because she's just excited to do it. Says stuff like 'safety patrol is on a roll' just cause she thought of it'd be fun to say

"Of course, doing my duty as the safety patrol." Deputy Gerda would have winked if not for the long night on the mountain, surrounded by trolls. (And if not for Ahlberg's buzzing yells from inside the jar on David's lap- they had to get going to turn her boss back from the bug form of Frida's spell)

A five days later Johanna answered the door to find Gerda with a bobby pin in her hand, apologizing for not returning it sooner. Johanna had been wearing her hair down on the ride back inside the city walls after the night on the mountain. The bobbypin could not be difinitively identified as hers, but she still invited Gerda in for tea.

Tea turned into a weekly meeting, turned into farmers market strolls, turned into dinners with Hilda, Alfur, and Tontu.

Tontu took some getting used to for Gerda, who hadn't had a Nisse in the apartment she rented when she originally moved to Trolberg. She quickly adapted to him, having already been good friends with Alfur, trading opinions on stationary and sharing their favorite filing systems. It was a little more cramped with the five of them in the apartment and Twig underfoot, but it was lovely, a good natured bustle.

Small little fic I just wrote after finishing the second season! (Pls don't spoil the third!!!) I have no idea if this is a ship ppl have but it popped into my head to write and here we are :)
