I was listening to Charlotte's ending (because, being honest, that anime has the most beautiful music in the story of anime and sometimes I just need to hear it again— damn it why does it have to have such a story) and I thought 'I wish there was a lcf crossover with og cale of this'. Which, great idea, actually.

So I started to daydream about it (instead of writing anything as the procrastinator that I am) and my first thought was that it has to be a sort of happier life, since the anime ended like that (specially for the Otosaka siblings, overall the Otosaka siblings). So my brain said "hey, why don't put the main cast in the Northeast families? Nao now has to deal with Eric's dorkness". So I went with it and tried to figure out 'which northeast family gets what charlotte character?'

I wanted to put Yuu in the Henituse family because the ending destroyed me, damn it, I want him to be happy. And his little sister— wait didn't they had an older sibling too? (I can't believe I forgot about Shunsuke ;���; I'm so sorry. You were my fav)

Then I realized—

OG CALE AND SHUNSUKE ARE BASICALLY THE SAME FUCKING PERSON!

Protective older siblings? Check. Selfsacrifical bastards ready to throw themselves for their family? Check. A strange relationship with time? Check. Elegant warm smile that reaches the eyes? Check. Absolutely badass hidden character? Check. Charming as fuck? Also fucking check.

They both even have the same 'I hold the key to salvation you need' and 'I wnt back in time so they won't be doomed' roles!

So—

Nao, Joujirou, Yusa, Misa, and Kumagami (he's the guy who located people with powers in the map and he was Shunsuke's best friend. He matters to me, okay?) are all reborn in the northeast families. Nao is Eric's younger sister. Yusa and Misa are twins and Gilbert's pain in the ass. Koujirou, the poor bastard, is born in the Stan family and runs away at the first chance. Kumagami is Amiru's older sibling who owns a shop because Ubarr is a matriarchal family (fuck thanks) and he needs to pay his meals (he may or may not be going for his third life. And he may or may not be a certain someone).

And the Otosaka's? They're reincarnated as the Henituse siblings... who have no idea the others remember their past lives.

They do, however, know who the others were.

Lily is the first one to remember. It take her some time to put the pieces together and realize that her dreams are not just dreams. That said, she recognized Bassen immidiately. He's still as sweet with her as before and, although her oppa may not realize, he can be quite unhinged sometimes. (That's fine tho. Most of them are.)

She lasts more to recognize Cale. She and her orabeoni aren't so close, she doesn't know him that well. That's why it takes her some old blurred memories from when she barely could walk and a bad night to notice. Ayumi's Shunsuke and Lily's Cale are the same person. After that the soft spot her orabeoni has for them becomes so obvious to her that she has to ask herself if she was blind before. Scary? Trash? Pshh, orabeoni was the biggest softy in the world. Let alone people, he doesn't like harming bugs. He picks them up and puts them outside so the servants won't squash them. Why do people think he would hit anyone?

Bassen cringes at his past life choices. He can't believe he used to be so— so— irresponsible. How embarrasing.

He's kind of surprised and sad at how good student his brother was. Not because he didn't think he's smart enough, but because he didn't expect him to effort so much at it. And if he did before, why did he drop his studies this time? Knowing all what he does now, he has the feeling that it must be either something stupidly self-sacrifical or something really important he decided not to tell anyone.

Lily seems to him pretty much the same but with a liking for swords. Good. Luckily, this way she would be able to protect herself this time. And gosh, isn't he reliaved they don't have those powers this time? No more accidental collapsing buildings for her.

Cale is the last one to remember that life. He's also the only one to remember their future life and probably the only one who knows why they remembered. Just like he tends to do with most things, he doesn't tell anyone about it (except Kumagami) until it comes up in a conversation or it's needed. (Alberu is a little bit jealous about this. Why does that guy gets to know but not him? Aren't they close too? Does he not trust Alberu as much? Thankfully someone has the mind to tell him that that's just how they used to be. And also because Kumagami seems is, as far as they know, the only one of Shunsuke's circle of friends that came to this world with them.)

His siblings? Oh, he knew it instantly.

The contrast between the volatility and passion that’s been such a big part of what we’ve seen of Loustat and these two gentle dorks that like to talk and buy stickers and hold hands through crowds is just so fun to play with and external pov has always been a favorite to read.

yes yes yes, they are just so sweet and gentle and nerdy and lovely, and they are (as you've said) so gentle and lovely with each other in particular, and that contrast with their characters is just delightful. I love the external pov thought--one of my favorite jam fics is from Eric's pov as he tries to figure out if they're hooking up or not, I wish that person would write a sequel

My current ranking of the T7S kids, with an explanation.

1. Eric - The most relatable to me. He’s a lovable dork with a huge heart. But what I relate to the most is feeling insecure and self conscious. It’s clear that Red has certain expectations for him, but it isn’t easy for him to live up to. My parents may not have those unrealistic expectations the way Red and Kitty are, but I’m pretty insecure about myself at times.

2. Donna - Also someone I relate to, with her growing feminism and being outspoken about what I’m passionate about. Like Eric, she also has an outstanding amount of patience, which I admire. She also really sweet and a good shoulder to cry on.

3. Jackie - She’s not my fave anymore but I do love her. I love queen bees with hearts of gold! Her growth from spoiled brat to independent woman is beautiful to watch (ignoring s8 & t9s). Jackie, in general, seems to love hard and passionately. Even though she can be pretty mean, there are a lot of times where her heart is truly in the right place.

4. Hyde - I can’t help but feel for him, having a shitty upbringing with his abusive parents. It’s no wonder that he has a hard time letting people in. So it’s beautiful seeing him find family in the Formans, WB, and Angie. Despite my annoyance with his attitude abotu E/D in the later seasons, he still has a special place in my heart.

5. Kelso - He's a total dumbass, constantly cheating on Jackie yet acting like the victim with J/H gets together AFTER the breakup. Not to mention, his inappropriate behavior with Donna (i.e. touching her breasts, trying to get her naked, etc.). But I love his dynamic with Fez and growth in the later seasons when Brooke and Betsy come along. Even though Kelso/Angie isn't my fave ship, I like that he was trying to prove to her that he has changed.

6. Fez - I like him the first 4 seasons, then he turned into a freaking pervert after. Such a shame since he started off with so much promise.

Stranger Things That 70s Show AU~ That 80s Show

That 80s Show Background and Headcanons 

(Eventual Eddie Munson x fem!reader)

Author’s Note: This is for the eventual fic that I want to write because I am soft for grumpy x sunshine otps and Jackie x Hyde were the definition of that. So the background is important for this AU I think.

Who knows if I will fully write a fic about this? But I love this idea, I just don’t know if anyone else will. I also wrote this while I was bored at work if you couldn’t tell.

I don’t know if I should cross-publish here and on AO3 or just AO3??? Idk? This really is a “guess I have to do it myself” fanfic scenario, as I am combining one show with a fav of mine. 

Background/Headcanon:

✌  I had this in my head for a while so this is what you need to know if you  haven’t seen That 70’s Show. The main group is a feminist, a conspiracy hippy, a horny foreign exchange student, a peppy cheerleader, a complete dork, and the definition of getting by on looks alone.

✌   I am getting rid of Fez’s character (the foreign exchange student) because I don’t know where to include him in this story, he wouldn’t fit in Hawkins.

✌   This is also a universe where the Upside Down doesn’t exist, and that means everyone lives! So now they are living in a goofy sitcom show instead of a paranormal drama show.

✌  I think Robin and Donna from That 70’s show would get along up to a certain point. Robin and Nancy I think could make a total feminist power couple. Nancy has the “I will fuck shit up and you up if you don’t listen to me” like Donna had and Robin has a better sense of humor than Donna.

✌  Steve could make a total Kelso and Eric combo. I feel like he’s got some hidden nerdiness in him that he doesn’t want to be known, and in this AU he’s childhood friends with Nancy, Robin, and Eddie and so this confident, popular act makes a sort of shield around his friends, to know they can’t be messed with. He also babysits the neighborhood kids from time to time, and so he’s the golden boy of Hawkins, popular, sweet, and responsible.

✌  Eddie I feel is a mix between Hyde and Eric, he’s definitely gotten the bad boy look down, listening to rock and metal, dealing weed, but he’s a total dork like Eric. He loves D&D, and Tolkien, and probably loves Star Wars and Star Trek as well.

✌   The town judged him too quickly based on his looks so the inner nerd in him kinda quiets down and is only known by his close friends. He becomes more theatrical, and dramatic, though, and starts to rave on the different conspiracies of the world to anyone who listens.

✌  Steve’s parents are Kitty and Red, since we don’t see the actual Harringtons, and I love them.

✌  The reader is a ray of sunshine, femme, and a cheerleader, who would fit into the role of Jackie but not outright Jackie. She’s into Star Wars and D&D but has to keep that quiet because she doesn’t want to get kicked off the cheer squad. She’s friends with Chrissy and they get along fairly well. She would be considered the golden girl of Hawkins.

✌   Steve keeps hitting on her (think like Season 1 or 2 Steve) and he won’t take the hint to leave her alone. She gives in and says one date and the possibility of meeting his friends as well (since she’s hoping to meet Eddie through Steve). He’s ecstatic and thinks that’s like two dates.

✌  She’s immediately drawn to Eddie, even with Steve hitting on her, she’s always had a thing for the whole bad boy aesthetic, and knowing Eddie likes the same music and movies as her??? Yeah, she’s full-on crushing.

✌  Eddie at first tries to keep up this grumpy bad boy facade so that the reader doesn’t know he likes her and also doesn’t want what little of her social status is left to come crumbling. However, once he knows she has an inner nerd like him, he kinda becomes his full dorky self that everyone loves from the show.

✌  The AU starts with everyone the same age, 16-17, in high school, so they are sophomores in high school at the start.

Another flashback that absolutely kills me like the one I was talking about the other day. It’s , I adore them as you can get so so much out of it. I’ll spare the speech I gave the other day but it’s just nice.

I just absolutely adore the both of them and love how much you can gleam about them purely from short snipbits. Someone in the tags of my last one was talking about how this segment always gets to them- I get it now.

And my general love for Eric grows. I don’t think it’s taken into account how much of a dork he was?(was but it’s present tense as he’s dead? Idk semantics). Or just generally a dumbass at times. Gotta love a man who can Wax poetically on the neutrality of death , cut thorough gang members, while also taking a solid minute to catch up with his fiancé’s meanings “oh sweetie but this is august” Eric … honey 😭 I love you but sometimes you are so stupid.

Once again mumbling about how much I love them and their relationship, their absolute love. Shelly being a literal beam of sunshine. And genuinely how eric shines through even in his ?? Crow ?? State. How he’ll be soft and kind when it’s the right person or how he tells jokes or sights poetry in a fight. He’s shattered (later post) but so - there - it’s hhh
