I'm thinking about Geoff again.
It's just like??? I have this weird parasocial thing going on where I just want to be his friend. I've had a drinking problem since I was a young kid and whenever he talks about his sobriety it makes me want to try harder. He's a legend, a badass, a ridiculously kind person, and just so incredibly intelligent and well-rounded.
Something that I will hold in my heart til the end of my days is when he and Eric Baudour opened my fan mail on Breaks Sh*t and they reacted to the Don Zimmer ball I sent them. I absolutely was not expecting them to be floored by it but that same feeling is what I feel whenever they put out new content.
I full ass went back to film school because I wanted to work for Rooster Teeth (guess how that turned out?) But you know what, the education I'm currently getting and the feeling of actually doing something with my life is something I can still thank them for.
Anyway sorry I'm gonna shut the fuck up now I just needed to shout my feelings into the void k thanks bye

100% Eat is terrible for a morning commute. I was nearly cry-laughing driving on the freeway imagining Eric as the "mom I throw'd up" meme telling his tiny wife that the dog made him come downstairs

So I've got this idea for a webcomic...
Tumblr media
It's been bouncing around in my noggin for about 5 years now, but I've just been too busy or lazy to actually start. I'm really hoping that'll change soon enough.
Working project title is Murk.
It's meant to be a black comedy noir set in Lovecraft Country, wherein main boi Esca Marsh (pictured above) solves spooky crimes in the small coastal town of Highwater. All the while having to regularly deal with monsters, mobsters, dirty cops, apocalyptic death cults, poachers, kidnappers, cannibals, creepy carnies, existential dread, and the crippling loneliness that comes with being a giant fish man trying to live semi-secretly among humans. If you've ever read Atomic Robo, that's a big inspiration for how I want the overall tone of the story to be.
A bit about Esca: - 28, M (He/Him), 6'6". - Pescatarian. Favorite food is sashimi. - Acutely self-conscious about his appearance, and will often stay hidden in order to avoid accidentally startling people. - Can heal from severe trauma, but can't regenerate lost appendages (granted, he's never tried). - Sews his own clothes back together when they get damaged, but isn't very good at it due to having big meaty claws. - Considered a lightweight by Deep One standards, but still significantly stronger than the average adult human. - Big fan of pulp-y sci-fi movies and magazines. - Likes to feed horseshoe crabs down by the pier in his spare time.
- Voice claim is Eric Baudour from 100% Eat (formerly Face Jam).

what's the podcast you've enjoyed MOST from beginning to end, fiction or non fiction, unscripted or scripted?
Ohhh fuck. Okay. Actually I'm barring myself from answering my main ones of Kane and Feels & Red Valley because those two are up there
But honestly I haven't had many dislikes over the years. I also am an indecisive person and can't answer just one
Directive Podcast is a big one. From it being a relatively quick listen it's an audio drama that I've adored from the first few minutes I listened to it. A fantastic story that has a twist that had me deeply emotional, and I'll love it forever.
Kingmaker Histories is just phenomenal all around, voice cast, writing, audio work. Funny and emotional, it's one I'm deeply happy I found one day.
On the similar thing of finding it randomly one day, and since it gets recced quite a bit along side Kingmaker. Fawx & Stallion is also another show that I had 0 notes on through the entire thing. But to be fair I've got a soft spot for lavender marriage lines in stories and it's so rare that I've found em.
For a non fiction one, it's got about 50 some eps and started a lil over a year ago. It's pretty niche in a 'only some people are gonna enjoy this because it's very specific.' It's called ANMA (Anarchy Me Anything | The name was coined from a dream one of the hosts had, for the first many eps they had fans guess at what it was and made sure to speciefy it was a 'dream logic' type name)
But it's basically a podcast with Rooster Teeth founders Geoff Ramsey and Gustavo Sorola along with Ex Mega64 employee, current RT employee Eric Baudour. It's basically a chatting show with Gus and Geoff talking about their past and specifically about their past in Austin TX. Each week they go to a different coffee shop around Austin, try their coffee, talk about The Old Days, then rate the drink, then answer one or two questions from fans. It's really good, it's not for everyone, and mostly for long time RT fans (I've been here too damn long)
