You've heard of the Faerghus Four, you've heard of the Abyssal Four.
Now get ready for: The Infirmary Four.
Featuring a knight-simping Agarthan defect who keeps getting stabbed, a secret Prince of the Kingdom with a penchant for dairy, a runaway Imperial Prince of Adrestia who is too hot for his own good (he can't stop getting fevers!) and a future Countess who chronically overworks to surpass her aunt Thunder Catherine (in the blade, obviously).
Coming soon, to an infirmary near you. (Jest)

Which of Erekose's dishes Allan like the most?
Honestly I think he would like the Enbarr-style cheesecake that Erekose makes, and the cheese-and-onion stew.
Though, given that Allan trusts Erekose and is close with him after a while, I think he could be easily convinced to eat any dish Erekose prepares as long as it includes cheese. The two of them being twin crested also means that Allan is also getting his portions tweaked to fit his needs automatically so... a well-fed cheese boi is a happy cheese boi.

one more post about moorcock tonite: i don’t remember what character says this to whom and in what book (possibly erekose in sailor on the sea of fate but i’m not sure): “he is many men. perhaps he is all men.” blew my mind when i was 12 or 13 or so. i have a vivid memory of riding on the monorail in downtown seattle (not something i did often, it was a special occasion? possibly Christmas Eve when my family always went to a hibachi restaurant that isn’t there anymore and to look at the gingerbread houses displayed in the lobby of a fancy hotel) and looking around at the people around me thinking like “that lady over there is the eternal champion and she doesn’t even know it. every single person here and everywhere in every reality is the same person and we don’t even know it.” of course everyone means me too, but that’s almost too scary to think about

the moorcock multiverse crossover stories are pretty interesting in that each eternal champion is the same figure incarnated in different times and places by the gods of law and chaos as more or less a troubleshooting tool to fix a particular structural imbalance then die, so gathering several of the fatalistic bastards together both affirms their fatalism (they really don't have any choices) and undercuts it (this is only because they are the unwitting pawns of factional powers in constant conflict and not because there is one overarching fate), with the differences between identical figures each can act as a self reflexive critique of the others.
But mostly it means we get scene after scene of wan, mopey mallgoths trying to outpose one another.

I don't know why, but the fact that Moorcock just fuses his main characters makes me really euphoric and giddy. And it's not even a one time thing.
Elric, Erekose, Hawkmoon, Courm (sailor on the seas of fate/quest for Tanelorn)
Tumblr media
Elric, Erekose, Corum (partial) (the vanishing tower/king of the swords)
Tumblr media
Elric, Hawkmoon, Corum (the Balance lost)
Tumblr media
I initially thought they could form the Obsidian-Zord fusion only in Gagak, but they could do it again without that enhasment in Balance lost.

how does allan get along with his friends? and the rest of the class?
We're hopping a little into interactions with some of my friends' OCs! I'll tag them for credit and for anyone interested in learning about the others. Everything is under a readmore because it's very long. You may wish to use a text to speech if the text wall becomes overwhelming.
Some of Allan's friends include Pyrrhus Heliwr/Erekose von Hresvelg (@theeternalchampion), and later on Tigris Melanthe (@ladyaster) and to a certain extent Phoebe Juno Charon (@officialfelixfraldarius)
They're part of this... little group we consider The Infirmary Gang, due to their collective disposition to winding up in the infirmary, whether by illness, injury or simply malaise. Allan being more socially withdrawn, meek and overly obedient actually means that the other three practically had to adopt him into the gang. And teach him how to be chaotic.
He's closest with Pyrrhus, due to the latter's similar circumstance that led them to develop a bit of a brotherly bond. Pyrrhus actually finds himself quite compelled to cook for Allan, especially much earlier on, due to Allan's clear malnutrition. Ironically, the two are hiding very similar secrets, as they would come to discover. They also quite heavily parallel Dimitri and Edelgard in certain ways, but it's not as relevant during the Academy phase. They often both wind up in the infirmary for symptoms relating to their twin-crested conditions - Pyrrhus suffering fevers in particular, while Allan tends to collapse from exhaustion.
Tigris and Allan actually had terribly high tension between them at first, due to him recognizing her as Agarthan and being avoidant of her out of fear. However, their frequent coincidental meetings in the infirmary eventually leads to an understanding - Tigris was a defector who was also hurt by the systems of Those Who Slither in The Dark, genuinely seeking a different way of life on the surface world following the teachings of Seiros. Tigris discretely recognizes Allan as one of the crest experiment subjects and suffers terrible guilt for what her people had done, despite having no part in it herself. Coming to a common understanding that both of them were victims of a similar evil and bore no ill will toward the other eventually helped them to develop a lasting friendship.
Allan's friendship with Phoebe actually is born of rather humorous circumstances. Due to Allan's masquerade as a commoner boy claiming no crest, Phoebe was initially incredibly frustrated by his superhuman strength, believing that he was harboring some manner of training that was being kept from her. Her competitive, perfectionist nature actually leads her to even write to Rufus to try and gain favor as the heir to House Charon, much to Allan's alarm. The reveal that Allan was a natural bearer of a Major Crest of Blaiddyd actually sets Phoebe off far more than it does Dimitri or Felix - all the time she spent trying to discover his secret training methods was wasted because Allan simply turned out to literally have the strength in his very blood.
As for how he gets along with the rest of the class, it's actually quite easy to split. Dedue, Ashe and Mercedes in particular initially bond with him over his presumed status as a commoner, with all three being primarily concerned for his frail health. Dedue reaching out was also in part due to Dimitri's concern for Allan as a classmate, in order to alleviate those concerns. The eventual discovery that Allan was related to Dimitri causes him to also become slightly more protective of Allan - Allan was family, family mattered to Dimitri, and the fact that Dimitri was able to find a single family relation that comforted him (Rufus did NOT.) meant that Dedue would protect that comfort as best he could. The trio also makes for the Cooking Squad while attempting to correct Allan's malnutrition. He grows comfortable with them due to their quieter, gentler personalities. Mercedes also often helps him with mending his uniforms and making pillows and blankets from spare material for him. Sylvain, Annette and Flayn fall into another kind of classmate bond for Allan - their much more outgoing and cheerful personalities (and particularly loose and easygoing for Sylvain) actually coaxes him to open up a little bit. They're basically the social side of the class that are quick to pick up on his stiffness, and often find excuses to drag him to things like class gatherings, tea parties and the such.
The last group consists of Dimitri, Ingrid and Felix - the ones who are always applying themselves to their training. The latter two initially do not notice him much, but they all do get a little frustrated at Allan's reluctance to train at first - Felix in particular thinks of Allan's claim of illness as an excuse. Allan's compensatory midnight training is eventually discovered by Dimitri, alongside the truth to the mystery of countless broken lances in the Academy's stock. When Allan's twin crests are revealed, and when his health has much improved, he becomes close with this group in particular as a favored sparring partner for Dimitri and Felix, and riding partner for Ingrid. Interestingly, the crest resonant energy being picked up by the former two initially did perplex and frustrate them at not being able to make sense of it, but discovering Allan's crest also clears up that mystery. Felix still takes a while to come around, though, being unable to accept such truth and also the implications of the source of Allan's Major Crest of Fraldarius.
