A little fan art of my friend @megafunk 's ocs :) them in their modern versions, where Sno (the big guy) got to keep his face AND get the girl. Looking at the drawing again, their size difference will never not be funny in a way. Maria is the older of the two, but it's kinda hard to tell with Sno's size (without other characters for reference) and demeanor.

This week is Spoon week btw, cause her birthday is this week. Although this isn't really a bday drawing cause I made it some weeks ago, I gotta honor it with by posting her beloved children.

An old friend's crow had perched on the window sill of the room she occupied at the Phoenixfire estate. She'd know this crow, and just like it did before, it annoyingly knocked on the window to get her attention. On its leg was an attached note sent by none other than the troublemaker himself. "Looks like you've settled nicely love, meet me at this location here. I think it's time we talk." The crow won't leave until she had penned a response and just like his orders. He would stay close to her.

The brunette had been seated in a plush armchair located near the bay window, her legs pulled up and tucked close to her side as she read the novel that had been loaned to her by Eraden.

So engrossed in her book was she that she didn’t notice the crow as it perched on her windowsill until the peaceful silence of her bedroom was broken by the shark clacking of the beasts beak striking the panes.

So sharp and sudden was the sound that Mairead let out a startled cry that choked off as she nearly upended the chair, the book landing on the rug covered floors, followed by several colorful and imaginative expletives.

“You,” she breathed out as if in accusation, her heart pounding rapidly against her ribs now because of the creature itself than the initial scare. Composing herself and retrieving the book as she stood, she took a wary step to the window, the novel now held to her chest as if it shielded her form attach.

“I open this door, you don’t go flapping about like some vile thing from the pits of hell, deal?” She asked, her hand hesitation on the latch, a suspicious look shining in her blue eyes. Why in the name of all things good and decent did he have to insist on sending her letters like this?!

Taking the lack of cawing and clacking against the window as agreement she flipped the lock and gently pushed the windows open wide enough for the crow to fly into her room where it came to land on the table beside her bed. To her relief the creature cooperated and stood stoically on her dressing table, it’s black feathers gleaming from the lamp light as pitch heated in flames.

“Let’s have it then,” she told it before reaching out and awkwardly removing the letter from its leg. She eyed it a while longer before moving a comfortable distance away from it before getting on with the business of reading the contents of Kane’s missive.

“Why you...” her heart thudded with the echo of a familiar ache but also sped up with the heat of irritation. “You smug, presumptive, bastard,” she complained softly, the heat not quite reaching her words.

“Alright, let’s see what you’ve got to say for yourself,” tossing a Glace to ensure that the blasted beast still remained on her dressing table, she quickly put to pen her response.

Trust you to keep tabs on where I am but not to have the nerve to reach out to me over the past five years.

Yes, I have found a form of happiness here that I haven’t had in a long while. I’m glad, I suppose, that it shows even from a distance.

You do realize that this isn’t normal behavior for people, yes? To watch someone for Light knows how long like you do. They ordinarily write letters, make house calls, you know- contact one another.

Don’t know why I’m bothering to put this in a letter. I can just say it in person- that’s assuming, of course, that you turn up. It would be...lovely...to see you, Kane.

Mairead pauses, her pen hovering above the page. As she reread the response.

“That won’t do at all...” she told herself, sounding and feeling lost. Crumpling up the page she tossed it in the bin and decided to write her response on his original letter instead before giving it to the evil beast to take back.

Saturday, noon.

Day 7

Write about a time that your teacher was really unfair or annoying in class.

Nur einmal bin ich aus dem Unterricht geworfen worden. Es war mein erstes Jahr im Gymnasium und wir hatten Technologieunterricht Unterricht.

Der Lehrer hatte einen schlechten Charakter und er hat immer geschrien. Alle meine Kamaeraden unterhielten sich. Plötzlich schrie Antonio, der Lehrer, und sagte: „Die nächste Person, die spricht, wird aus dem Unterricht geworfen sein!“. Und alles war in Ruhe ruhig.

Ich hatte mich mit zu einer meiner Freundinnen gesetzt und sie hat mir gesagt sagte: „Schau mal! Mein Popo Hintern holt rutscht aus dem vom Stuhl!“. Ich schaute sie an, aber nicht antwortete nicht. Antonio schrie rief: „Marta, geh aus dem Unterricht!“, und ich bin wurde aus dem Unterricht geworfen obwohl ich hatte meinen Mund nicht geöffnet hatte.

I have only been kicked out of a class once in my whole life. It was my freshman year in high school and we had Technology class.

Eraden AU time! Specifically western hehe

In this version my beloved son Barkri works as a deputy in southern provinces of Arabey, and stuff happens leading him to end up way up north than he expected to. At least he gets to meet his homie then, since in this version he didn't really get to it before.

His cowboy toyhouse is due for an update, as Spoon and I did develop more stuff for this setting that needs to be added. Depicted above is kinda self explanatory, just a first draft ref kinda deal for his clothes and looks during what will hopefully be a whole story.

Alexendrei's ref!

In short, after a wrongful murder conviction he was sentenced to exile as a teenager(around 13yrs old). His jailers quickly sold him to Syllkheret poachers and he changed "owners" and "jobs" a lot. From mines to plantations and house service, he finally ended up all the way south in Auritas. During his forceful relocations he just kept growing*, which gave his final owner the idea to put him into the Auritas underground fighting pits. There Alexendrei fought for his life against both Cerulean and Arbelean opponents, enslaved or free.

Eventually Maria and Andromeda snuck into the fighting pit while he was scheduled to fight, and Maria decided that she MUST have him. After a terribly bloody and messy escape, he ended up as Maria's bodyguard/pet in the White Palace. Andromeda had to use all of her capabilities to win a debate against Maria's parents, the Emperor and Empress, to let her keep him around "for her health".

He repaid Maria's genuine kindness and care by swearing to make sure she stays healthy and happy as long as he's alive. He took on most of his care during his stay in Auritas, and the both of them eventually developed an unbreakable bond. It took him way more than it should have to realize just how much he loves her, and that in fact she loves him too, and isn't just being nice :D

Maria at first couldn't pronounce his name so she named him Sno. Kinda terrible isn't it lmfao

*when I say growing, I mean growing beyond any normal rate for his race. At the end of his development he is 3m tall, which is a peak of any Arabelean cursed with titanism. He has to keep in shape to prevent himself from collapsing under his own weight. I'll make a size chart soon.

"Your soul isn't only yours, it also belongs to the next, and the next, and the next..."

Andromeda is the last in an endless line of people who had her soul before her. Usually, souls degenerate a little with each life cycle, due to the choices of the person who has the soul during that cycle. Some rot faster and some slower. But a long time ago, Belgrath broke off a fragment of himself, a sun-born soul, to keep as a lifeline to Eraden, and the last resort, in case he somehow loses power over both the realms of the spiritual and material. But that would never happen, the Sun is forever...right?

There used to be a few sun-born souls on Eraden, all unrotting and eternal, waiting to serve their purpose. Eventually all of them perished, one by one, at the hands of Variga. An eternal Sun would force her to be in his eternal shadow, and she refuses to submit to that faith.

At the same time, Andromeda refuses to play a pawn for either of them. She is the last sun-born soul and the last body to own it.

Blackwind and Tetya - terrible animals

Two herja, male and female respectively, who lived during the age of failed expansion projects. Think of it like wild west but failed.

Tetya was a wild mare before being captured by poachers and Blackwind was a carriage herja before he was "bought" by Tetya's rider for his friend.

If anyone's interested, here's some expansion projects bits:

At that point in time Ceruleans have been ruled in Arabei for centuries with more or less success in subjugating the native population. They achieved this conquest through secrets deals with Nightlords who were more money hungry than they were loyal to their homelands. Once their rule was somewhat solidified, Ceruleans realized that Alvecharre regions, all north of the Barren Gates mountain chain that is, are an unexplored treasure trove of land and hidden riches. But unlike with the expansion into what is now US, they failed miserably. The main cause of the expansion's downfall was the incredibly harsh weather paired with the ever-cruel nature that inhabited those lands. When you also take into account hostile nomadic tribes who roam the land and don't appreciate conquerors, the expansion was doomed from the start. Eventually all that remains of the expansion efforts are abandoned towns and half-finished train tracks.

In the history of Eraden this era is known as the age of dermeron, as dermar(animal) and other livestock animal's migrations were a common sight, and dermerons made a living by herding the animals and protecting them during the arduous journey.

The Eraden story of this era follows Bakri, Atra and Marlon, outlaws on the path to prove that Barkri never committed crimes he was accused of committing. Tetya and Atra are a great tandem, but Blackwind can barely tolerate Barkri's chatty self.
