Financial rant incoming

So the electricity payment was over due and I was trying to wait until tomarrow when husband gets payed but the power went out and I assumed it was because we were behind. I called the power company and they said there were wide spread outages, I assume because of the storm the other day. I payed our bill with the only credit card that had any credit avaliable including paying a $60 reconnection fee and the power came back on almost immediately. But then it went out again about 30 min later. So I thought maybe the card was declined even though it seemed to go through at first. I called the electric company again and it is still saying we just owe next months bill and I opened the statement for the credit card and confirmed there was enough credit avaliable so I called and reported it as an outage... The timing seems weird though, I guess they could have had to shut off or power or could have accidentally knocked it out while working on the other outages but what are the odds of that happening the same day they cut off our electricity for non-payment? If it is still a matter of it taking time to get it reconnected after they disconnected it then why did it could back on it the first place?

I'm so looking forward to next month when:

I will be back to work and even though I'm only going to be working two days a week it's over a thousand dollars a month

We will no longer be paying 600+ a month for B's school (he is in the 3k but it isn't government funded so it operates like daycare, he really needed the socialization so 🤷)

Oldest brother is getting the paperwork finished to separate the house from the trust and buy it. He is going to pay us our portion in free rent for 3 years (if we want to move out before that he'll pay us the rest of what he owes us. It comes down to the equivalent of just over 800 a month in rent and you can't even rent a one bedroom for that.) So once the paperwork goes through we won't have to pay rent anymore.

We need to sell the Traverse. I wanted to just sell it back to the dealership but they wouldn't buy it because there is a recall on it with no fix (its something to do with the airbag and the airbag company and the car company are arguing about who's fault it is.) I'm tempted to keep it around just for trips because I don't know how we are going to manage the drive to Missouri with two kids, two dogs, two cats, and all our stuff in the equnox. We l might have to board the dogs but that costs $$$ and since they don't do boarding at the clinic anymore I can no longer board them for free plus it's nice to take them down there because the in-laws have a fenced in yard and we can let the dogs run loose. Are yard is so big there's no way you could fence the whole thing. I thought about doing an invisible fence but I'm pretty sure Tink would just blast through it so fast she wouldn't even notice the shock. But she is starting to calm down a little (i mean, she is 10) so maybe we could get away with it now...

Also, they are incredibly sweet and got me some of the treats I like when I'm on my period, and then we made jokes about them offering a sacrifice for the blood ritual at the autumn equnox, lol

My tattoo artist the other day was telling me that they're synced up with their wife's cycle, even though they don't menstruate any more, which is a) wild that that even happens, and also b) my nephew (who also no longer menstruates) is synced up with me, and occasionally I inadvertently make them miserable.

everyone’s gotta have a narc friend.  but the best kind of narc friend. juna’s story was a wild fucking ride to go on and of course she deserves better than what she got. but you also explored the aspect of being a co-captain that i’ve always found really interesting. there’s a lot that rides on being a captain and it just didn’t work for her. but that’s alright bc she’s going to co-cap the fuck out of that ship and i can’t WAIT for everything to get wild for her.

step on me. that’s it.  mila had a really striking story that i just could not get over. we see many people in this timeline who have really had to fight for where they are, and she’s not an exception to that, but her struggle with following family traditions, and being true to herself was powerful. i think it’ll be especially powerful given this group. i am really excited to see her interact with the others who maybe followed the path she was always meant to.

protecc. at all. costs.  i never excepted penumbra to get five apps, and i spent a long while debating the two. and then i thought, this is my swamp. of course, we can figure out the logistics of having two engineers but i figure, it’s a big ship. orion really was such a gem, and so different from the rest of the people on the team, i really wanted him to come along on the adventure. some of the things you mentioned in his biases also got me really excited for gameplay and his choices when things start to go wrong, and i can’t wait for them to come into play.
