When people talk about "gendered socialization" I remember how when my brother was born, my mom got a book that if it was published now would be called something like "raising your son without toxic masculinity", but since this was the mid aughts was called something like "how to raise kind and emotionally intelligent sons". My brother received a completely different gender socialization from other boys of the same ethnicity, religion, class, and even broadly similar politics in my very town because my Mom didn't want to treat her kids differently, and was aware of what we'd now call toxic masculinity. He was never punished for showing his emotions or given more leeway when it came to roughhousing than me.
When I was a young child I thought of gender like a society mandated aesthetic and grammatical rules. That people used to say meant you needed to act a certain way, but only Bad People did that now (I was given an extremely optimistic view of how much feminism had achieved). And while my egg didn't quite crack before I was of age to receive the second stage of post-pubscent gender socialization (of which parents have less control), I had become self actualized enough to be reflective of how society worked and not care about conformity, a result of my autism and developmental precociousness. I didn't even blink when a girl told me I needed to start shaving my armpits. And my mom never told me to either. And as for my brother, given the kind of circles he orbits now, my mom reading and following that book is probably the final thread keeping him from falling completely into the manosphere.
All this is to say, this is just one example of how so many little things influence the gender socialization an individual receives, and so acting like trans people have "x socialization" rather than existing and growing up in a society with certain norms is ridiculous.

People probably wonder why I don't quit since I'm fed up with my current job environment. Well, I've been searching for job for 7 months now. And I've found quite many that I could apply for and I'm sure they would choose me. But I still don't. The current job and the interviews I had for other jobs opened my eyes so now I'm extra careful and suspicious when I read a job advertisement as it is easier for me to spot the hidden red flags. For example:
Do they brag about how like a warm family or an amazing team they are? STAY AWAY. You will certainly be the black sheep of that family or being expected to be the doormat of the team
Do they brag about equality, respect, diversity? STAY AWAY. You will probably experience the worst amount of disrespect, inequality and favouritism you've ever experienced.
Are they trying to "seduce" you with promises of opportunities, training, development? STAY AWAY. You will end up doing the same things forever while others less capable are getting promoted because they are the bosse's friends or simply narcissists.
Too much enthusiasm in the job advertisement with many exclamation marks and excitement? STAY AWAY. You will soon find out that the job you applied is the most boring and abusive thing you've ever seen.
Only saying things like "amazing holiday scheme" or just "holiday entitlement" instead of mentioning exactly the actual amount of holiday allowance? STAY AWAY. Otherwise, you will get like 20 days of holiday and you will have to fight to manage to get them approved.
If they mention e.g.28 days of holiday ALWAYS CLARIFY whether it's actual 28 days or just 20 + bank holidays. If it's the second, STAY AWAY. You may be ok with this (I would be ok if I liked the job environment) but they should have clarified this in the job advertisement. Who knows what other maybe more important things they are hiding..
Never go somewhere where the salary is not mentioned. If you find advertisements saying "competitive salary" or "salary negotiable" STAY AWAY otherwise you'll be lucky if you get minimum wage.
Always check their website and read their policies. If it's too much about equality or whistleblowing STAY AWAY. You will probably get bullied for refusing to use pronouns or for being a Christian and this whistleblowing will never protect you from the bullies. You will not be allowed to wear a cross but your Muslim coworkers will have breaks for prayer. And if their bullying doesn't work, you will end up falsely accused of theft or rape.
If it's an entry level or apprenticeship compare the salary they give with the amount of work you will be expected to do and the experience they ask. I've found dozens of APPRENTICESHIPS out there which want you to have loads of certificates and qualifications and do the job of a fully experienced person with half the minimum wage and with the prerequisite of having 3 years experience.
I'm sure there are more things to add. For me, it's all the above PLUS those which they don't come to mind right now PLUS the fact that I want a Mon-Fri day job. Because, imagine if you end up working with bullies and have to sacrifice evenings, weekends, Christmas and time with friends and family for them, as it happens with my current job.
When you truly value respect, discipline, accountability, responsibility, honesty, team work, equality, development, work-life balance and generally moral values, it's damn hard to find a job.....

Latinas only earn .54$ for a white man's 1$.
The gap between Latina pay and White Women pay is larger than the gap between White Men pay and White Women pay.
Latinas in the U.S. are paid 46% less than White Men and 26% less than White Women.
This issue doesn't only affect Latinas within the US, but extends globally especially in countries like Canada, the UK, and Spain.
Latina Equal Pay Day marks the date on the calendar year when Latinas finally make the same amount as White Men did last calendar year.
Latina Equal Pay Day used to be on October 21st, it has since moved to December 8th as the gap has increased.
How can we support Latinas in their struggle for equal pay?
Talk about it. Talk about our wage gaps, talk to your latine friends and colleagues about how much you are paid compared to how much they are.
Demand equal pay, attend marches organised by latinas. Apply pressure to your politicians.
Buy from Latina owned small businesses and support Latina owned businesses.
Donate to Latinas in need, there are plenty to find on sites such as Twitter and GoFundMe.

i want to make a spreadsheet using trade information to calculate the fair market value of draft picks in each round and then use the year over year decreases to determine the average interest rate but unfortunately i have to do my JOB instead

visited two apartments today and came back with absolutely zero will to live
#I'm starting to think I'm simply too young to live alone#which is a problem considering I'm 3 hours away from this damn airport#but yeah. first apartment was absolutely perfect but was in the nastiest street I've ever seen in my life#a little slope with garbage all over the place#possibly the most dangerous place I've ever walked to by myself#and then the second apartment which I thought was perfect for me#and was in a safe street#SUCKED ASS!#it was so much smaller than the pictures and several things were left broken by the last tennant#and it's a literal hotel room. seeing it in person made all the spark I felt for it dissappear#I had a third flat to visit today but I got so frustrated I just canceled. I was over my budget anyways. and it was probably equally small#and shitty#so yeah. my conclusion is that I don't think I can afford to live comfortably alone even though I'll be making 6k a month#which is fucking insane?#I just have no idea how I'll prove that I actually make this if half of my salary is paid weekly and half is paid monthly#and also I simply refuse to pay 2.5 in a fucking hotel room#ugh. I'm so frustrated#rambles*
