i know everyone and their dog already made a post about this when season 8 came out but its honestly baffling that those two game of thrones showrunners managed to produce a piece of media that was overall pretty good. like for those that don’t know there is a VERY CLEAR rape scene in season 4 that was apparently just... intended to be consensual? and those two dudes just didn’t talk about it for months until finally directly asked about it by a fan in a live interview and seemed genuinely shocked that anyone would read it that way. like did they just not watch the final cut of the epsidode? did they not talk to the director of the episode or the editors at all? are they just that stupid and bad at sensing tone in their own media? like, there was nothing ambiguous about this scene. cersei said no when it started and continued saying no the whole way through (not that a no later changing to a yes would make it not rapey, but it would at least be like... a recognizable bad trope). apparently there were stage directions indicating consent (that scene in the book is kind of a “this is so wrong but feels so good” thing so I guess the verbal “no”s might make sense in that context? if you squint? consent is supposed to be verbal anyway but i’d kind of give that a pass in this context because it’s supposed to be a fucked up relationship in the show) but the way its edited and filmed you aren’t likely to notice them. the whole situation and how it was handled when fans started voicing distaste is just... shockingly clumsy and the fact that the show was still good with such brainless showrunners is really a testament to how much of a team effort tv is

there were a couple of moments, this one included from last nights episode that stood out to me and can we please talk about how close they are to holding hands? i’m wondering if this will be a parallel moment to something that happens later in the season. there was so much focus on this scene, the way they got so close to holding hands, the healing aspect, the way both of their hands linger for just a moment so closely.

i also wanted to talk about the ‘leviathan blossom’ and how much focus was on destiel in season 8 between dean refusing to leave cas and sticking around for a whole year just so he could take him home with him and the “flashbacks” dean had when he believed cas including where he saw him on the road, outside the window, etc. and

we also know they’re going in together, while sam and eileen are going to be caught up dealing with chuck (or at least I think so). though, I also heard dean was supposed to pray to cas in his room (i think as of now it’s all speculation but basing it off this) which could mean either they go, cas doesn’t make it out (for some reason or another) and dean does, and that leads to the prayer. or they both make it back, something happens and cas leaves/is taken and dean attempts to pray to him.

one last thing, i don’t know if it was just me but the eileen x dean mirror was off the walls this epsidode, literally wearing the exact same light blue demin button up as each other and eileen being dressed in a green (i think that’s deans color?) long sleeve later in the episode.

p.s. rowena really knows what they need to do and the domestic dispute was just so well done in this episode, + michael/adam can even see the tension between the two, and they’ve been in hell for the last 10 years!!!!

and those were some moments that definitely got me thinking about the mid-season finale and what it’s going to bring in january.

He was the one that sent Ein to take pictures of Aph which lead to him being obsessed, which lead to him being an idiot blinded by "love" which leaded to Aaron dying, the Aph dying and poor Daniel not being so innocent anymore !!!!!!! Why Gene!!!!!!!
