Never gonna get over how the anime made this scene just so,, haunting and elevated. Like I love the manga but I love how the anime has taken these scenes and elevated the themes of death and rebirth with simple shots like this and it’s why even after reading all of the manga I still get excited for the anime because I *know* the anime will not only be a faithful adaptation, but also an artistic masterpiece as it uses the medium to its advantage

I didn’t realize fluttershy being a model in like one episode was a staple part of her character

sick and twisted that we started and ended season 2 with such similar shots, except there's now a massive gap between them that wasn't there before. AND THEY'RE NOT ON THEIR USUAL SIDES

so here's the thing about the latest protocol episode:
georgie has presumably been here for a while. long enough to have a podcast indexed on google, at least. so the assumption i've been seeing that she's protocol-verse georgie and separate from archives-verse georgie makes sense.
but then, why is her podcast on dimensional travel? (sam linked celia mentioning dimensions to the podcast directly, and he has no reason to lie—)
possibilities:
protocol-verse georgie is actually archives-verse georgie who was pulled into the protocol-verse somehow and started the podcast in hopes of finding her friends from archives-verse, and did in fact get celia in on it. they're trying to figure out what the hell is going on with the universes
protocol-verse georgie is separate from archives-verse georgie and is just doing a podcast on dimensional travel for funsies, while celia got pulled from archives into protocol and found georgie immediately but not the one she remembered. then her telling sam that her research was for georgie's podcast was lying to cover up that celia's actually trying to find a way to go back
protocol-verse georgie and protocol-verse celia are entirely different from archives-verse them and celia's whole "tape recorders and manila folders" thing is a whole red herring; she recognized chester because he sounded like georgie's ex (or current boyfriend?) from years ago
georgie's podcast is quite literally the magnus archives. somehow

can't stop thinking about bobby's pov of his last day at the 118 and how he sees buck and eddie. like god. fucking christ. he picked eddie for the team because they were missing something, because buck needed a partner but also because maybe eddie was missing something too and he thought they could be it. he's a matchmaker, but he didn't realise quite how true that was until a little further down the line. and like sorry after that whole montage i just can't live in a world where bobby doesn't know or at least suspect them. the way he sees them. always together. if they're not already together they'll gravitate to each other's side like they're magnets or those goddamn contact binary stars buck goes on a research spree about at least a couple of times a year every year coincidentally since eddie joined the team. and the like glowy, dreamy kind of shot of them smiling together at the pool table. i know we're always talking about eddie from buck's pov but actually i think we need to talk more about buddie from bobby's pov because good fucking lord.

"The key thing was of course, the fact that Rick has PTSD and that's very much what's driving a lot of his behavior and being in a place of that level of vulnerability, back with the love of his life in that way.
It's also the thing he fears, the loss of her. It manifests itself in a way that is visceral and leads to the lovemaking not just being about love, but the revealing of pain and trauma and fear. That informs Michonne, that she can't just blast him into making sense. There's something deeper going on here that he can't verbalize. She has to help him get through in a different way. So she gets to see him, as well, as he reveals what's really in there, the wound. That's going to happen most likely in that most vulnerable space." — Danai Gurira
"Yeah, I think it is about pain. As Danai just said, it's about him wanting her and then fearing what he's about to unlock again. He gets to sort of articulate it in the scene further in the episode, when he gets to say that, 'I can't do this again. I haven't got the capacity to do this again. I've worked out how to die and live again.' So it is an absolutely necessary scene that allows Michonne to realize that there's something really broken here, more broken than she's ever anticipated. [...]
So the scene was about a real intimacy, a sort of frightening intimacy. This is a part of his personality he has shut down. It's almost like he's trying to stop himself from feeling this love again. She sees that and she just says, 'Just trust. We're back. We're the same...' I find it very moving. I think it's a very, very moving scene, because it's about them connecting in a way that he's had to deny for seven years. He's denied that connection for the sake of living on in this half life for the CRM" — Andrew Lincoln

Annabeth has been told her entire life she needs to earn love and glory and respect. Her father neglected her and her mother makes her earn her love. She has been raised to believe she has to be the best or nothing at all. She was told love was conditional. And then she meets Percy and in less than a WEEK she is questioning her beliefs, the gods, and learning that other people can and will put her first. Percy jumped for her. Percy got in the chair for her. Percy sees her. There is no limit to how much they will do for each other.

the thing is. juno & nureyev's relationship has been such a major guiding thread throughout the podcast and the major drive of season 5, and the fandom has built itself so much (as fandoms often do) around shipping the two of them.
and yet nureyev doesn't show up at all in the last episode! or, he does, but it's only implied (for all we know it could be like. alessandra strong)(i know it's not but it would be really funny) and we don't hear his voice.
and it's so important to me that despite the room that their romance has taken in the plot and in our hearts, his absence reinforces that the point of juno steel's story wasn't a lady getting his man, it was about learning to grow as person for himself and for his friends (and not just his love interest), and it was about finding his footing in life and being at peace with himself and his place in the world. and he did! his growth and relative serenity is so apparent and just. a balm to the soul
and the fact that his man is back is just a nice add-on, not a necessity for his happiness
