Allright, why so many people loved Laura? Looks like there were only two kids that actually cared for here and the rest are adults.

How the heck did he find a pole that sturdy in the middle of a hotel room? Did he ask for it? Did he bring it with him? What kid of hotel is THAT?

Ok, Cooper is clearly under cocaine but he's in good company with the psychiatrist (which clearly is constantly under LSD).

I watched too many crimes to not cringe by the ineptitude of everything... be still my suspension of disbelief.

Why does it look like not even the 80s arrived in that town? Or the 70s...

There's no way that mill can sustain a town of over 51k. Also, if there actually are over 50k people in Twin Peaks I'm sure they could have find a less geriatric mayor. That sign hasn't clearly been update in a while.

Is anyone in that town able to choose a decent partner? Like, how could you not get psychopath vibes from them when they don't do anything to hide them?

Is Doc's family the only sane one?

Doc, you're a sweetheart, but what parent is so calm and understanding with a daughter that broke curfew the same day they found her BFF dead? It does explains though why your family is the only example of sane people in town (but not your daughter choice in boys).

Why the fuck are those three living together? Wife can't stand husband and SIL, SIL is having a (legit) affair with the sheriff, husband would probably live better by himself. They own the frigging mill, they can afford to live separate!

The Norwegians dodged a huge bullet and it's not because a serial killer camped there for a couple of days. That hotel owner is a creep. You don't get a daughter like that by being a decent person. She's clearly punishing you for something and I'm sure you're deserving it.

Is mill manager really expecting to gain something by helping hotel owner sabotaging the mill? Just because they have been having sex for years? Oh right, this is a Lynch tv show, can't expect clean cliches (but I'll wait for it...).

Dude, the way Gun’s friends try to protect him is fucking adorable. The way Book changes seats and tells Yotha to sit somewhere else, despite the fact we know he’s actually a bit scared of Yotha…king shit, right there.

The way Faifah stands up to his own brother is also amazing btw. I know how difficult it is to be close friends with a siblings love interest/partner and you always want to side with your sibling, even when they’re wrong, because it’s like a built in ‘must-protect-sib’ thing (at least it is with me) and for him to get up in Yotha’s face and show ‘no, I’m not letting this happen’ is a big deal. We don’t see that enough between siblings in these shows, it’s always they hate each other or they’re always besties, but Faifah will tell his brother straight up that he’s fucked up, and I love that? It’s taken a while for him to grow on me as a character, but I’m here for it.

There’s something about the vastness of the temple in comparison to May and Daisy in this scene that just gets to me.

The whole conversation leading up to May’s “death” is made up of close-up shots that make the scene feel personal and condensed. Because in that moment nothing else matters. It’s their moment.

And then Jemma arrives and the shot pans out and the lighting changes; and Daisy is just sitting there. Kneeling by her mother’s body, looking so incredibly small in the larger context.

She is just sitting there.

oh right anyway lucy & altaïr interactions in my mind always forever. altaïr who saw the worst and best of the brotherhood, who was taken advantage of, humiliated, betrayed, and then still became mentor. lucy who was fed directly into the templars’ hands and broke under that pressure and couldn’t escape it until vidic let her loose on a leash with desmond. thinks forever about desmond bleeding altaïr and this ghost being the only person lucy can talk to, because he can’t do anything to betray her to the current brotherhood, because he’ll listen to her. the quiet, stilted sharing of monstrous things done nine hundred years ago and yesterday… the more lucy tells him about vidic, the more he sounds like al mualim. the more altaïr shares of his earlier training under al mualim, the more lucy realizes the tactics were all the same to get altaïr, to get her, isolated and loyal.

i've decided my method for listening to tmagp is this:

I am going to relisten to all of TMA+bonus content on the feed to the end, then all of TMAGP+new episodes and bonus content, then do it all again. Over and over and over again until TMAGP is finished. Possibly after. I did listen to TMA six or seven times before it was even announced.

This is the best and least insane way to do it.

I’ve decided. Turn and Burn (the Carlos horse girl fic) is gonna get a rewrite/revamp once I’m done with The Lone Ranger. It’s gonna be the second installment of my Rangers spinoff fic. It will be both a direct continuation of the Lone Ranger and set up for some other stuff on down the line.

Can we all just take a minute to appreciate the fact that Ruby actually survived the whole goddamned plot of 73 Yards?

She's a 19-year-old girl. She got dumped in Wales. She got a creepy old woman following her all the time. She spent five fucking pounds for a glass of coke. She got bullied by an entire pub. She went home on her own. She got kicked out of her home by her own mother with nothing more than the clothes on her back. She got brushed away by Kate and UNIT just after she thought she's finally getting some help and understanding. She got her life being turned upside down. She spent the entirety of that life being alone.

She's not like Donna in Turn Left: At least Donna still had Sylvia and Wilf.

She's not like Martha in the end of Series 3: Sure, she was being hunted down but people would welcome and help her everywhere she went.

Ruby went through decades of being followed, neglected and mistreated all by herself. And I think that makes her one of the strongest companions in Doctor Who history.
