Ik you said you dont normally do nod x reader but if you ever have the chance or want to, can you do one where reader is very easily flustered. “Nod, quit it!” You shouted as you jumped onto your tippy-toes, swinging your hand up at the knapsack he held above your head.

“Aw, come on, Y/n,” he grinned, raising his arm higher. “You can jump higher than that!”

You groaned loudly and tried to pull his arm down lower. “I need that to take notes or Ronin’s going to kill me,” you said while jumping again, trying to shove him over.

“What? Nah,” Nod scoffed and snorted, waving you off. “He wouldn’t get mad at you, you’re too cute.” With that he winked and switched the bag to his other hand.

Your eyes widened and your face flushed pink, your brain buffering over what he just said, giving him time to push you out of the way.

“Wha-wait, NOD!”

He laughed and waved the bag over his hand looking back at you, “Catch me if you can!”

You groaned and chased after him.

“No fair!” You shouted.

“Oh come on, girl, it’s too easy!” Nod cackled, jumping out of the way as you dove.

“Just give it back!” You swiped for it again.

“Oop-” he dodged and raised your bag over your head again. “Awwwww, whats the matter?” He grinned, “Can’t reach?”

“Nod, I swear!” You huffed. “I will climb you!”

“I’d like to see you try,” he smirked.

“You asked for it!”

“Huh-wait-ACK!”

You gave yourself a running start before tackling Nod to the ground, toppling the both of you over.

“Give it back!”

“Never!”

The two of you rolled on the ground as you scrambled for the bag in his hand. Nod kept it just out of reach, but he didn’t expect you to wriggle your way out of every way he tried to keep you back. At one point, his arm was wrapped around your waist while he tried to pull you away from grabbing your bag back.

Finally, you shoved his head away and leapt for the bag, snatching it from him.

“Aha!” You sat up immediately. “Gotchya!”

Nod huffed and propped himself up on his elbows. His eyes flicked across your face, a smile forming on his own. He couldn’t help it, not when you were positively beaming.

He raised a brow and smirked, resting his chin on his fist. “You know, if you wanted me to hold you, you could’ve just asked.”

Your face fell again, eyes widening. What was he—

Oh. Oh.

Your cheeks started to burn furiously as you realized the compromising position you had just been in. And you had just given him the perfect opportunity to tease you relentlessly.

“Yoink!”

One second, you had your bag in your hands, the next, Nod is running off with in his grubby hands.

Blush forgotten, you smack the floor and yell after him, “NOD!!”

Once again, you were chasing after him, jumping and swiping at the bag he held over your head as he laughed at your misfortune. And he wouldn’t have it any other way.

"You can't come in here- The king!-!" A gaurd shouted.

"Move! Or you'll never have kids again!" Y/n ordeded dress hiked up in her hands and on a tyrant.

He was quick to move Y/n moving forward. The one guard was luckily he was given mercy by her.

"Mandrake!" She shouted, causing the forest to flinch.

"Keep her out of here." Mandrake ordered his gaurds lazily, slumped over in his throne: beaten, cuts and brusies freshly fixed up.

The gaurds looked at each other and then separated themselves to give Y/n a pathway.

"You're dead!" Y/n contuined to rage.

Walking past the two gaurds. He only sighed, hand covering his face, his elbow supporting his upper body weight.

"What is your problem!? Are you serious!?" Y/n shouted.

"Please give me some peace and quiet!" He ordeded.

A big mistake; she was already mad, now she was furious.

"Peace and Quiet!? You want peace and quiet!?" Y/n argued, her nostrils flaring in anger: "I tried to give you peace and quiet! The whole Kingdom! But you and that Leafman idiot commander can't keep your hands off each other!"

"Do not word it that way-"

"What?! Honesty tick you off now?!" Y/n snapped. He glanced at her, and she started her pacing: "I'll have to meet with Queen Tara again! You and Ronin need to either back off or get married to one another! I already solved the border issue and now!-"

Her voice raged on a she turned to look at him, her voice falling to silence. Mandrake looked beat up, badly beat up. For only a moment she argued with herself; "I..." he started, "know you have been working hard, for peace...thank you,"

Y/n sighed, walking her way over; up the small steps to his throne, she kneeled at the base of his throen, he was slumped over making it easier for her to get a better look at his face, he hiding brusies under the hand which covered his face.

"Let me see." She spoke softly.

"I'm fine-"

Mandrake paused as she pushed his hand away softly, she frowning at the bruise forming under his eye.

"Have you..." Y/n started, reaching out to touch his face; his flinching, "so you haven't..."

Y/n looked back and called for a gaurd: "Get my medical equipment please, it's in my room," She told.

"Yes, my Queen." He responded and rushed off to do as ordered.

She turned around back to him as she cupped his cheek: he leaned into it: "What happened," y/n asked softly.

"It seems you know the answer to that." Mandrake answered. He sounded just as exhausted as he looked.

"My queen."

Y/n turned her head a gaurd there with her bag, "Thank you." She spoke taking it from him.

Y/n was quick to open the bag and look through her bottles of Tonics. She picking one out.

"What does that have in it?"

"Root-"

"Pine root?"

"Mhm-"

"No."

"I know it stings but it heals the best-"

Y/n put some on some cotton she had in another glass, and lifted her hand up to clean his wounds. Yet he blocked her.

"Mandrake-"

"No-"

"It's going to get infected if I don't clean it." Y/n argued.

"It stings-"

"Maybe you shouldn't of gone into a fight then."

He winced as she blotted his face: he hissing as she cleaned his wounds.

"I know. Im sorry." Y/n answered, quick to finish and pull away: "Where else?"

"Surely you don't think I'm going to undress for you in front of my own men." He teased; his eyes switching sides to look her way.

"If I asked?" She asked; sat all pretty on the backs of her feet, looking at him with the wish only to help.

"no." Mandrake answered.

"Damn it." Y/n cursed.

"You know that doesn't work on me," Was his response, she getting her bag back together, closing it up as she stood.

"That's not what you said a night ago." She snarked back, a smile across her face.

The guards standing attention at the entry way tried to hold it together.

"Damn sounds like Im getting more action than the boss?" A third grumbled to her coulleges.

"What was that!?" Mandrake shouted.

"Nothing, sir!" They were quick to answer.

"Be nice to the kids." Y/n protested, holding her hand out, "come on love, lets go and finsih patching you up."

I AM FINALLY HERE AND I'M READY BELOVED HERE WE KRIFFING GO. Doing this slightly out of order, solely for formatting reasons. First up--

7. Camping Au. First, let me link my first post, as a treat. Second, have a little drabble!

“What a view,” Kanan said, staring out across the lake. “Can’t find anything like this out in the wild.”

“Why are you quoting Madagascar, love?”

“Because I can, Hera,” Kanan told her.

“Hmm. Well, as long as you can do that, why don’t you also try and help me? This canoe isn’t going to paddle itself, and we’ll never get back to the tent if you don’t.”

Dipping his paddle back into the water, Kanan said, “Yes, ma’am. I’m intent on helping you here. Get it? Intent—”

His last words were cut off by a yelp as Hera flicked a paddle full of water back at him. “No more puns.”

“Yes, Captain,” Kanan said with a dramatic sigh. He couldn’t hold back a grin, though. He was in the place he loved best, with one of his favorite people. Even a drenching of lake water couldn’t dampen his excitement about that.

2. Happiness Au But Slightly To The Left, aka Kanera!Tangled Au. Thank you so much for requesting this. Have a drabble that I've been wanting to write for a million years:

The guard pushed him forward, and Kanan gritted his teeth, frustration combining with despair roiling in his chest. Being caught by the Haxion Brood was one thing. But he knew for a fact that their contact had handed him over, and Hera was nowhere to be seen. There’s no bounty on her head. What did they do to her? The horrifying possibilities spun through his mind as the guard marched him past cell after cell. And then Kanan spotted a familiar shape behind one set of bars. Kip Ostar, the bounty hunter that had been offering them information on the Brood. The last time he’d seen Kip, he’d been with Hera. A cold knife of panic stabbed through Kanan’s chest, but he didn’t freeze. Instead, hot determination flashed through him, melting the panic. Throwing himself to the side, he slammed into one of his guards, sending him crashing into the wall. Before the other guard could react, Kanan slammed his head into the bridge of the man’s nose, and he hit the floor with a clatter. Fueled by the Force and his determination, Kanan leapt, pulling his arms out from behind him. It took one stride to bring him within reach of Ostar, who he grabbed by the collar of his shirt and slammed up against the bars of the cell. “Where is she?” he shouted. “Tell me now!” “I— I don’t know!” Ostar stammered. “The old Zabrak took her— the one with the tattoos!” “Tattoos?” Kanan’s eyes widened as it hit him. He knew exactly who had Hera— someone who held a grudge against him, and would do whatever it took to get to Ezra. Including taking Hera hostage. Before he could react, hands grabbed him, and he was being hauled away by even more guards as he fought, trying to get free. “You have to let me go! She needs my help!”But they didn’t pay any attention, like Kanan knew they wouldn’t. He would have to find his own way out of the arena, whatever it took. I’m coming, Hera.

1. How did you get into writing fanfiction?

I've been writing my own stories since I was like 10 or 11, but when I got on tumblr a few years later I discovered fanfiction :D First in a German forum where I mostly read Harry Potter fanfiction and eventually I tried my own hand – with drabbles (the actual exactly-100-words-kind of drabble, thank you very much) and then oneshots about Draco/Luna – because what else could have made me write than a rarepair? When I got more into the Glee fandom, I also got more used to fic in English and then I tried my hand on that, too (mostly because, again, I was into a rarepair that nobody else wrote about).

2. How many fandoms have you written in?

If we take all the Arrowverse shows as one fandom, it's 10 :)

3. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

At least for 13 years :D

4. Do you read or write more fanfiction?

At the moment I read more – because I rarely write at the moment :D But usually I'd say I write more.

5. What is one way you’ve improved as a writer?

I'm much much much better at introspection!! My fics consisted mostly of dialogue when I started writing. And now I spend more time analyzing characters' thoughts and feelings, I think?

6. What’s the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Oh, don't we all have that moment where we text our bio-engineer friend at 2am in the morning and ask "Hey, if a person in Illinois died in the night of December 11 2013 because they were struck by lightning and then got buried in moist soil, how rotten would their body have been after nine months?"

Otherwise I'd say the month I spent researching lacrosse which almost made me start playing the sport was a very wild ride, personally.

7. What’s your favorite type of comment to receive on your work?

"I love all comments equally!", I say like a father who's asked to name their favourite child. (In truth, I have always loved comments that are written while people read the fic. I used to write them, too, but since I mostly read via phone nowadays it's a hassle.)

8. What’s the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

Trans Indian Epic, baby!

9. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

TIME TRAVEL!!! Do you know how many fic ideas I have that I just can't execute because I keep running in circles whenever I think about the implications of time travel?????? And also anything involved with lots of movement.

10. What is the easiest type?

Chatfics, my beloved <3

11. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?

I write per hand most of the time while my mum's watching something on TV that I'm not interested in. Then it gets typed up to Google Docs and from there it finds its way to ao3.

12. What is something you’ve been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

The Glee/Flash AU of your dreams is resting in my head. And also the Teen Wolf season 5+6 rewrite where Mason can see Auras.

13. What made you choose your username?

It was my tumblr URL at the time and is a relict of my Marauders phase. pettigrace = pettigrew + ace. Do not mention Peter Pettigrew to me unless you want to be exposed to a rant that would make me look like a Rat Apologist. (On that note: FUCK JKR!!!!!)

Instead of finishing up a drabble like I intended, I got distracted by thoughts of 47 Ronin (2013), a mostly fine historical fantasy that bombed at the box office and was hated by critics. This review does a good job of going through the movie scene by scene and talking about what does/doesn't work; granted, these are four white guys reviewing it with surface knowledge of the original Japanese tale.

Is it a flawed movie that took a clumsy middle-ground between historical epic and fantasy as a result of studio intereference and rewrites? Yes. Is it a bit iffy that despite having a mostly Japanese cast the movie positions the half white guy as the lead (played by Keanu Reeves) and almost treats him as the special chosen out unfairly treated as an outcast? Yep.

Do I still have a soft spot for this movie? Absolutely. The actors are taking their roles seriously (shoutout to Hiroyuki Sanada as Oishi, basically the co-lead), the action and visuals are solid, and I generally like how the story is told (specifically the revenge quest, there are issues with Kai's storyline; I've heard Blue Eyed Samurai does a more nuanced portrayal with a biracial character in historical Japan).

I don't know if the originally planned movie would have been stronger overall, but I do think it would have been more consistent before all the studio edits in post production. But I do still like the movie we got and I don't think it deserves a 16% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Also it has tragically few fics on ao3, and most of them are crossovers and reader inserts.

Hey Y’all! I am so happy I got such a HUGE response from people who would like to be part of this!! 

On 8/23/21 everyone who loves Sam and Dean’s on screen “marriage” is invited to attend this 8 day celebration!! 8x23 Sacrifice is commonly referred to as the Winchester Wedding, when they committed to each other in a Church in front of a witness (Crowley) and the brother’s dynamic changed from there. 

This wont be strictly Wincest, we will celebrate their canon relationship too, so if Wincest isn’t quite your jam, you wont be left out! I will simply ask that any sexual posts, use appropriate tags in addition to the event tag #Mr & Mr Winchester 8th. More info and Q&A under the cut....

This event will focus on Sam and Dean’s late seasons (s8 and up) relationship when they actually lived like a married couple. I have often said they are each others spouces in every important way. They choose to live together, share responsibilities, share chores and finances, cook for each other, confide in each other, they co-parent Jack, they’ve stopped leaving each other (after s10) depend on each other for everything and above all, love each other so deeply even death can’t separate them (Death tried to and Dean killed him lol) For better or worse, sickness and health, poverty or wealth, good times and bad, they stick together. They are canon soulmates!

Why 8/28 and not the date Sacrifice aired?

Sacrifice aired in May 2013 and is a great date but it seems a little too soon for all you creative geniuses to write/draw/paint or whatever you do, to create something special. Also, it’s the 8th anniversary, of season 8 so having it in the 8th month for 8 days sounds good!

I’m not very creative, how can I contribute?

Don’t worry, there will be a list of ways to contribute. Even if you don’t contribute anything, you can enjoy the creations and festivities and maybe reblog your favorites!

Out of all the days to be fighting boggans, you weren’t really happy about this one.

It was gross, it was wet, it was muddy, and worst of all, it had started raining.

“Seriously, Ronin?” You asked as you shoved a boggan out of your way and hit another with your arrow. “Of all days to go on patrol, you picked today?!”

Ronin grunted and knocked a boggan coming towards off the branch, flipping down from the one above you. “Well, it was looking like an interesting morning,” he said, landing beside you.

You scoffed and shook your head. With a twip, you shot another arrow towards the large boggan coming up from behind Ronin. He looked behind him quickly to see the boggan fall and you smirked at him. “You’re welcome.”

Ronin smirked back at you while you jumped to the next branch, kicking your next assailant off the tree and sliding down the leaves. “You know,” Ronin called after you, “your aim has been getting better.”

“Wouldn’t you know,” you laughed. He chuckled as the two of you switched positions and you flipped a smaller bug type boggan over your shoulder before tossing Ronin his sword. “Here!”

He caught it effortlessly, “Thanks,” and slashed another boggan across the face.

“You’ve really gotta keep track of that thing,” you said as you made another quick passing tease at him before nocking and firing several arrows towards the boggans above you.

“Well it’s a little hard when I have to keep track of you flying around everywhere,” he snorted.

“Oh, didn’t know you had such a soft spot for me.”

“The softest,” the two of you smiled at each other.

“SERIOUSLY?!”

You both look up as Nod hopped from branch to branch, landing on a boggan and knocking them to the ground.

He glared at you two, “Get a room!”

The two of you raised a brow with a knowing smirk as he hopped another branch down, and the two of you followed.

“Aw Nod! Come on, we’re just having fun!”

“It’s gross!”

“Don’t be such a stick in the mud,” Ronin teased.

“I’ll stop being a stick in the mud when the two of you stop sucking face in the middle of a fight!”

“That deserves an extra two shifts.”

“WHAT?! NO! Come on, I was joking! Y/n, help me out here, will ya?”

You grinned, “Sorry, Nod. I wasn’t paying attention, I was too busy covering Ronin’s blind spot.”

“What? I don’t have a blind spot.”

“Tell that to the boggan on your right.”

“Oh damn, ugh—Y/n!”

You cackled as he checked his left only for nothing to be there. Ronin playfully shoved you, which you responded with by hitting him on his arm, all the the while Nod groaned and held his face in his hands. It was going to be a long day.

Digging in The Grave of Unfinished WIPs

Today, I decided to take a little trip down memory lane and think of all the original WIPs I've had in the past. I'm not going to talk about my earliest public writing not because I'm embarrassed I wrote fanfic, but because I'm embarrassed at how legitimately terrible they were. Digging around my old Wattpad account, I discovered poetry and short fiction that makes me want to cry because of how bad it was. For perspective, I only found two I can potentially save, polish, and post here. However, on the side of longer works, I did find some ideas that I really do truly like. There's 12(!) in total. Here's what it's like in The Grave of Unfinished WIPs:

Autumn's Queen- Adult Epic Fantasy. Actually kind of half-dead? This is the most beloved of my WIPs. I only burned out because I decided to rewrite without finishing the first draft. In my defense, my changes were too big. I might still revive it in a different form down the line. Also features faeries and technology. I actually just wrote a drabble about this which I might post tomorrow.

Midnight Cinderella-  Young Adult. Epic Fantasy. Set in the same universe as Autumn's Queen, but also kind of different? Features a LOT of political intrigues and family drama.

Blood Rose- New Adult? Kind of a Beauty and the Beast retelling featuring a female 'Beast'. Also Russian setting, historical drama, and badass warrior females. I'm kind of sad I abandoned this because it was one of the moments where my writing really started to get better.

The Darkness Within- Vampires. But like, lots of different kinds of vampires. There's lamiae, other types of vampires (see Filipino mananangal), Bram Stoker type vampires (but no one likes them), and even Lilith. Also half-vampire vampire hunters and a vampire school.

Love Cafe- Once upon a time, I wanted to write a sweet and cheesy contemporary YA. It features a cafe where couples fall in love and one of my favorite tropes: Enemies to Lovers. Would have had an HEA.

A Summer in Paris- Another YA Contemporary. About a girl who goes on a vacation in Paris and finds love. Tragic romance. Side note: Most of my main romances don't have a lot of happy endings for some reason. Side characters in my stories are more likely to find HEAs.

Dark Paradise- It's a twisted Alice in Wonderland retelling. The twist here involves an insane Alice who happens to be the Red Queen's daughter raised by her aunt and uncle in modern-day London. Involves some pretty trippy and pretty dark stuff.

Dark Melody- Note to self: Stop overusing the word 'dark' in my titles. Paranormal. Music-focused. One of my earliest ideas in like 2013? Involves a cursed violin, a gloomy lake, and brooding paranormal boys (this is a trend in my earlier stuff). The writing is relatively clean BUT I lost it because I'm a moron who didn't back up her work when Figment closed. Ugh.

Smoke and Mirrors- a Darker type of contemporary with two POVs featuring characters on the opposite sides of the tracks, if you will. Secrets, mental health issues, discussions about societal and familial expectations.

Nightmares- Once upon a time, I wanted to write a series of loosely-connected works called The Twisted Fairytales Collection. Very original, I know. But this is before the market for fairytale retellings became over-saturated. It's a Sleeping Beauty retelling where Sleeping Beauty slips into a coma and enters a realm called the Land of Nightmares. Love Triangle (-ish) with the villain.

Syrens- Set in the world of Nightmares where the Little Mermaid lures men into her corner of the sea in the Land of Nightmares. The protagonist is Sleeping Beauty's cousin. He's like the 'Prince Eric' of the story.

Teen Fight Club- One of the weirdest ideas I've had. Involves an underground fight club for 16-19-year-olds. Also contemporary. Also features enemies to lovers. Kind of problematic?

Another thing about all of these was that I conceptualized each one while I was in high school so around 13-15. I didn't come up with a lot of new story ideas in college because I was busy studying. Of course, that was until Maskara came along and made me love writing again.

I just want to share my ideas

So, with the current situation, I'm trying to get back into writing, since I've got the free time to actually do it. Also due to the current situation, I am lonely and have no one to talk to about fanfic writing. So, here are all the ideas that I have either in progress, or lurking somewhere in my brain.

Stories that I have posted(Note: These aren't very good. I wrote them a couple years ago)

- All Things Truly Wicked: A kidfic about MCU Loki failing to usurp and replace Odin at the end of The Dark World, ends up fleeing to Earth, and adopting a young street urchin he bumps into. - Transformers Ascension: Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to make my own Transformers cartoon. My skill at anything that could go to actually fulfilling that pipe dream are somewhat abysmal. Ideas that have yet to be written, but that I want to write or have significant planning and/or drafts.

- A mega crossover between Control, Infamous, Prototype, Just Cause, Hitman, Watch Dogs 1, and Tomb Raider(2013). This is my most recent idea, based on all the games I've been playing recently. Still waiting to get Control, but on the surface it looks like it would fit. Anyway, the basic idea is all the main characters of those games teaming up kinda like the Avengers. Still needs some polishing, but I think it'll be fun to write.

- Worm/Ben 10 fusion fic where Taylor Hebert gets the Omnitrix instead of her canon powerset. I have a few fun ideas for how the two universes can fit together. Of the worm ideas I've had, this is the most workable, though I'm having a few issues with the timeline.

- "This is Why Commander Shepard Has Headaches" A small collection of unfinished crack drabbles in the Mass Effect universe. The one that is most complete is called "Garrus Vakarian and the Ultimate Weapon." where Garrus takes Joker's "All we need is a gun that fires Thresher Maws" comment from after Tuchanka a little too literally.

- A fantasy epic based on a Dungeons and Dragons character that I made up, but never got to use. I kept building him up, and after a while he just kinda needed his own story. This one has hit a stall, cause I'm having a hard time thinking up additional party members.

- A number of years ago I tried to create an original superhero team named The Champions, only to discover that The Champions already existed in a tabletop superhero rpg of the same name. I bought the sourcebook on a lark, and ended up liking the example Champions characters so much that I idly sketched out a story outline for it.

Story Ideas that aren't very good or I don't really want to write anymore.

- Worm/Dragon Ball Xenoverse Crossover: Short Version, my custom time patrollers from Xenoverse 1 and 2 are dispatched to the Worm Universe to investigate dangerous energy readings from the Entities and teaching Taylor ki and martial arts in the process. Currently shelved because I felt it was focusing too much on my custom characters and the power disparities were too great for the two universes to really fit together.

- Original Yugioh Story: I have a small plot outline for an original yugioh plot where the Duel Monsters Card game is used to fight off an alien invasion...cause Yugioh. I shelved this one because creating enough original cards to fill up a full cast is very difficult.

- A Dragon Age/Game of Thrones crossover, with Hawke from Dragon Age II ending up in Westeros after getting lost in the Fade in Inquisition. I didn't really have anything beyond the basic concept, so it never really got off the ground. Plus after the disappointment of the GOT finale I don't really care to do anything with the universe anymore.

- I have a whole, pretty detailed, plan for an original Power Rangers team, with weapons and zords and everything. But I don't really have a story I want to write with them, so they're just languishing in the back of my brain.
