#text #gravity falls #billford #because hes had countless worshippers over the centuries #I wonder what made ford special and what made his 'betrayal' more painful #I have no answers its just interesting to think about #and I love hearing peoples feelings on the complexities of mortal/immortal relationships esp with these freaks #whatever it is I do think if we take some of bills feelings as genuine #despite his proclamations that ford was a pawn and a pet #I think there are enough hints that maybe for the first time he viewed a mortal being on a somewhat equal footing #and maybe thats the distinction #he couldve killed ford easily in the first weirdmaggedon ep especially since in the moment he didnt know he was trapped by the barrier #and yet he doesnt #and when he does unfreeze ford he offers him power and a place at his side #which was primarily a manipulation tactic but man...I dont know #of course its hard to tell with a character like bill what was a lie and what is genuine #thats the whole point #I do think there are real feelings he has but theyre so hidden under irony and self loathing that I dont even know if hes aware of them

honestly, the last immortal would've improved by 1000% if the directors had done more cool and dramatic cinematography?? the show felt a little bland at some points but it's because the shots were just so...normal. this isn't a modern drama, this is a xianxia!! with magical beings and creatures and power!! should've given us more badass scenes!!!!!

#Evanescence #metal #MJ's OST #im gna be autistic about this song in the tags real fast #it is so fucking sad to me that this song didn't get a synthesis remake #not that it needs one—this version is perfect #BUT.#that makes this the only Fallen song that had existed since their baby EP days to not make it to Synthesis #if you don't know #there were three songs off Fallen that had been written WAY back while amy and ben were in high school or even middle school #and that they had been working on and refining multiple times until Fallen was released #those songs were: “Imaginary” “My Immortal” and “Whisper”#the first two first appeared on the evanescence ep and whisper first appeared on the sound asleep ep and all three were on origin #and i think a synthesis version of whisper would've been GORGEOUS #like this song is so fucking good and i love most of the demos of it (the post-origin demo goes so hard) but it's also so underrated #it has the least amount of streams of any Fallen song and i dont understand how that's possible #ugh. anyway.#gothic metal

irrespective of the quality of anybody in these bands, why the FUCK do deathcrush, darkness descends, and south of heaven have some of THE meanest fucking opening riffs in (extreme) metal

#like I wish I could distill those first few seconds of deathcrush and inject them into my brainstem #fuck pretty much the whole scandi bmetal scene from the 90s but GODDAMN #does that EP rippppp #spext #if you know any other classique death black or thrash metal riffs that are insanely tasty I love hearing about shit #freezing moon has a pretty good one too #immortal rites gets me more from the drum perspective but VERY stellar opening to a fantastic album #there's a lot of really GOOD riffs but there's good and there's tasteyyy and they're not always the same
