Every time I think of the “Bad Hair Day” episode, I’m always a little thrown off by how off-putting it is when looked at from a distance. Like, in that episode Leo is just wanting time to rest for once. That’s it. He just wants some rest and relaxation.

And he’s so desperate to get it that he makes a deal with some random guy to basically uh. Be experimented on. In a way that definitely doesn’t seem all that pleasant in the process!

But hey, at least it works out well and Leo’s happy with it, right?

Then, finally thinking he’s getting the rest he worked for, he instead essentially becomes a host for a parasite that is embedded into his skull. And gets blamed for the actions of the adult that took advantage of his wish for rest.

Like????? I can’t help but feel just a touch of horror at the theming here. Leo just wanted a trip to the spa…

Tango knew he was walking to his death.

How could he not? Practically no hearts to speak of plus Scar pretty much always equaled, brzzzt, you're donezo, buster. Burning the earth and everything.

There was a world, somewhere, where Scar didn't take the easy kill. Where Scar's fury at being spurned channeled on something else. Maybe even where Scar joined the Heart Foundation when they'd asked, instead of moaning about being friendless several sessions later.

Or maybe there wasn't.

Maybe there was just Tango, standing precariously on the world, and Scar, ripping it out from beneath him.

In the half breath before hitting the ground Tango wasn't mad. He just sighed and thought yep, there it is. Because even then he knew that loyalty, in this horrific death game where nothing went right, always, always killed.

if you stopped watching spn or continued watching just to finish the series (but did so with disdain or with little to no attachment to what was going on) - what was the moment/storyline/character/something that made you start losing the plot? for me the first moment of disconnect was in 6.06 when sam says 'you're right there's something wrong with me, i need help' to dean who proceeds to beat him unconscious and it's not until the next episode they find out sam's soul is gone and dean does not make amends in any way for beating sam unconscious without grounds
