Listened to the teacher Dino drama cd and I like to think Reborn specifically asked Dino to handle Hibari for similar reasons as why he gave him Enzio after he asked for Leon
Both to fulfill something Dino wants (the ability to help Tsuna in some way) and teach him a lesson (that being a tutor is exhausting lmao but you love the little shits in your care anyway)
Reborn also talks about how his pride as a tutor means he won’t allow his students to lose and something something, inheritance arc where the word pride is used as a standin for “what you love”
Okay also: Basil who said that Tsuna and Reborn are a good match specifically because Tsuna is too civilian to really be aware of what a dumb idea it is to go up against Reborn and that makes him treat the dude as like. Another person.
Basil watching Tsuna argue with Reborn and saying a quick little prayer in his head because Reborn might be the devil but Tsuna is Certainly Something to be acting that way with him
Like to people who are aware of Reborn’s reputation, Tsuna’s behavior towards him is scary lmao

Review: A VERY DARREN CRISSMAS Tour Brings Music and Fun to Emerson Colonial Theatre
Making his way to the stage of the Emerson Colonial Theatre on the recent Boston stop on his “A Very Darren Crissmas!” tour – by going up, down, and around the sold-out venue – Darren Criss transported his eager audience from their seats to the palm of his hand.
And the popular performer, accompanied by a tight five-piece band, kept them there with a buoyant, tune-filled, nearly two-hour show, which featured everything from holiday favorites, from his 2021 debut CD that shares its name with the tour, to pop music covers and more.
The Emmy-winning actor and singer – famed for Fox-TV’s “Glee,” FX’s “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” and “Hollywood,” and Broadway shows including  the 2011 revival of “How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying,” 2014’s “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” and the 2022 revival of “American Buffalo” – opened with what he called “a winter love song,” John Mayer’s holiday-themed “St. Patrick’s Day.”
Criss’s voice was richly expressive on that and other songs, including jazz-infused renditions of “Winter Wonderland,” “(Everybody’s Waiting for) The Man with the Bag,” and a gorgeous “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),” the Mel Tormé classic Criss calls his “very favorite Christmas song.”
He also offered up wonderful covers of Regina Spektor’s contemplative ballad “New Year,” and, in one of the evening’s most impressive vocal moments, the 2004 Keane hit, “Somewhere Only We Know,” performed without mic to showcase the superb acoustics of the spectacular Colonial.
The legendary try-out house also provided the perfect setting for Criss to sing “Welcome Home,” first performed by opera singer Enzio Pinza in the 1954 Broadway musical “Fanny,” with music and lyrics by Harold Rome.
The San Francisco native’s good humor was sprinkled throughout the show. Apparently, whenever John Rox’s novelty song “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas,” a hit for 10-year-old Gayla Peevey in 1953, played on the radio in Criss’s childhood home, everything came to a halt so his mother could sing along. In Boston, her now-adult son’s version of the song had him, and his rapt audience, bopping along.
Weaving in plenty of colorful patter between the songs – which also included a light and lovely “When You Wish Upon a Star” – Criss shared freeform musings on the mood of the day, defined the musical term “imperfect rhyme,” and humorously lamented the takeover of the Billboard charts at this time of year by Burl Ives, with “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” and now Brenda Lee, with her current number one, “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” first recorded 62 years ago.
At the close, Criss strapped on a guitar for his hip-swiveling “Christmas Dance,” a rollicking tune he not only wrote but also customized with song requests shouted out by his swooning Boston audience. It was “A Very Darren Crissmas” indeed.

I knew you’d like Mukuro. And everyone else tbh.
Though, thoughts on Takeshi? I find he’s a really polarizing character, similar with Ryhoei.
Takeshi (and other characters but he’s the most obvious example) makes me wonder how much of the obliviousness is legit and how much he is pretending that it is so he can be underestimated. Like it’s incredibly easy to clock Gokudera as a thread because of his whole him-ness but Takeshi is the surprise because he’s so seemingly “head empty”.
Ryhoei I would probably like less if it wasn’t clear how much he cares about his sister. If it wasn’t clear he did care about being a good brother his high school athlete grindset personality would be so much ore annoying.
Lambo is annoying and he should be. Wish there was someone other than children raising this child tbh. They very much leaned I toy he whole “he’s five” thing and he is honestly a pretty good depiction of a child of you ignore the whole time travel bazooka thing.
Haru deserves so much more than being the “token obsessed girl”. Like she was fully willing to beat the shit out of Tsuna on their like second meeting and where is that energy going forward? Give the girl a bat and a target and let her go full feral.
Kyoko is unfortunately just kind of… there. Like it’s fine it have a cute oblivious character but she is really just a cardboard standee of a person who deserves more.
I-Pin is probably the best written female character I’ve seen so far and that’s kid of sad? Like don’t get me wrong I love her and her whole child assassin who gets it wrong because she’s five vibe and her crush on Hibari is cute and actually goes miles to make him more of a palatable character (to people that don’t immediately adopt the first hyper violent Garchomp ass character they see) in just a few small moments but she’s still not written great? And the other girls are written far below her. Also someone needs to parent her too where are all these kids parents?
Reborn was unsurprisingly an immediate love for me. I lvoe me a fucked up little guy of a teacher and his commitment to every bit no matter how ridiculous is amazing. And tbh whil e other teacher character is would dislike for his methods his… make sense? Like man is in the mafia his methods are going to be a bit fucked up.
But outside of the core gang? Dino. I fucking love Dino. I love his badass air immediately crumbling when his men are gone and I love that his men care about him just as much as he cares about them.
Best characters by far however are Enzio and Leon. 12/10 no notes.

I’ve been wanting to share this girl for a good while now- This is a bit of a revamp of an old OC I made when I was around 15. But I de-selfinsertified her and, y'know, gave her an actual solid backstory and personality.
In short, Rose is the niece of the main villain Lysandre. At first, she'd fit the role of the "angry/mean rival" archetype that XY seems to not have, acting as a rival counterpart to Shauna. (Seeing as everyone else in the main group seems to have a counterpart. Tierno has Trevor, and the MC has Calem/Serena, but Shauna doesn't really have a solid rival outside of the MC.) She's manipulated by her family into helping Team Flare, but in a sort of Zuko/Hunter/Amity-esque arc, she choses to join the main group against her uncle.
Extra doodles:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Extensive bio under the cut:
Name: Rose Dorado Age: 14
Home Region: Born and raised in Kalos, but moves to Alola with her maternal grandfather Enzio and connects more with her late mother's side of the family in Paldea. Favorite Type(s): Psychic/Ghost Voice Claim: Vanessa Paradis (Lucille from "A Monster in Paris")
Pronouns: She/Her (Experiments a little with They/Them too as she figures themself out) Sexuality: She's still figuring things out. Rose isn't sure about 'lesbian' or 'bi' or whatever so she just leaves it at 'generally sapphic' or just 'I like girls a lot'. She's pretty sure she's on the ace spectrum though. Personality: She starts off as a serious, perfection-obsessed "mean girl" who puts on a tough/cold front in a bid to impress her father and uncle. But deep down, she's an insecure, confused and frustrated kid who wants approval from the only family she has.
But after moving to Alola with her maternal grandfather, she starts to find a softer, dorkier side of herself as he heals. Because deep down she's just a dramatic, passionate, coffee-obsessed nerd who deeply loves her Pokemon.
Story:
Rose is the only daughter of one of the more powerful families in Kalos and the niece of Lysandre. All she ever really knew in terms of "family" were her father Albus, and her uncle Lysandre. She never knew too much about her late mother Alana growing up. What she was never told was that her mother comes from a well-known paldean family of psychics, and she happened to inherit ESP from her mother. She wouldn't discover these powers until her teen years, but she would hide them from her father.
The first Pokemon she recieved in her life was a unique Fennekin she named "Beryl". What makes this pokemon unique is that it is actually an incredibly rare shiny. This shiny pokemon was originally set to be sent to Sycamore's lab for study, but was bought out by Rose's father. Sadly, Beryl was originally meant to be nothing other than a trophy pet. But Rose and Beryl formed a strong connection and manage to be a strong team. Seeing this, her father decides to take advantage of that for Team Flare's (and his own) gain.
During the events of Pokemon X/Y, her drive to become a great pokemon trainer ends up in her getting roped into the "family business". Ergo, Rose is pressured into assisting her uncle Lysandre in his "vision" for the world by helping Team Flare. Despite her convictions, she pushes herself to do so to hopefully impress her only family.
With this pressure, Rose is pushing herself past her limits to meet these high standards. And she's not keen on anyone standing in her way. But there's always that one trainer who seems to pop up wherever she's assigned to- a trainer girl named Shauna. Everywhere she went, this girl was pestering her and getting in the way. But there was something in the things Shauna told her that started inspiring...doubts. As the story progresses, Rose begins to doubt her uncle's "vision" and starts drifting more towards the side of the protagonists. And this all leads to the final confrontation where, with her new friend Shauna's encouragement, she helps the group stop her uncle.
After everything is done- With her uncle presumed dead and her father MIA, Rose is taken in by her maternal grandfather Enzio Dorado. (A mysterious old man that would pop up here and there in the "story".) Rose decides to come with her grandfather to see Alola. And, wanting to go out and visit new regions herself (according to post-game dialogue from her), Shauna joins her new friend in this adventure. For her, the events of Sun/Moon (and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon) are a time for her to heal from her past and figure out her new life. While she explores this new region, she takes time to process and rediscover herself.
Obligatory OC x Canon: Rose + Shauna (I thought they'd be adorable, and fun to write/draw.)
