Psycho Analysis Score Guide

Here's a helpful guide as to what the scores I give out mean.

EVILNESS

This score doesn't really effect the overall score of the villain in question, it's more just a way to show how evil they actually are.

1: Barely a villain. A villain in name only, or a really dark anti-hero. Probably ends up swirching sides to the good guys with little provocation. Think Kronk from The Emeperor's New Groove.

2: Jerks, bullies, and other dickheads. Not really evil, but they're genuinely unpleasant and antagonistic. Think various anime or RPG rivals like Blue Oak, Seto Kaiba, or Silver.

3: Tragic villains. Sure, they committed murder. Maybe they framed someone for a crime. Perhaps they made some horrible choices that cost people their lives. But they aren't completely bad, and the narrative goes out of its way to paint a picture of a flawed but not irredeemable antagonist. Think Pterano from The Land Before Time VII.

4: Just a straight up awful person. They go beyond being a jerk, but their villainy is still relatively tame in the grand scheme of things. Think Vicky from Fairly OddParents.

5: A balanced villain. This is a villain where they are most definitely not a good person, and they do commit some evil acts, but the narrative either doesn't make clear how bad what they did really is or otherwise has some level of sympathy for the villain to make their poor moral choices understandable. Think Princess Azula of Avatar: The Last Airbender or Patrick Bateman of American Psycho (the latter is an extremely complicated case, though).

6 - 7: A real bad guy. Your typical villain you'd see on a kid's show, where they want to do something really broad like take over the world/city/tri-state area, but never really go much further than that. Think villains like Mojo Jojo from Powerpuff Girls or Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants. The higher the number, the badder they are.

8: A "well-intentioned" villain. A villain who commits horrible acts, but has some level of reasoning behind them that might make you nod and go, "Huh, they might have a point." Of course, they probably don't and are just using a thin veneer of nobility to excuse their horrible actions, and are more driven by their own egos than good intentions. Think Thanos from the MCU, Senator Armstrong from Metal Gear Rising, or Enrico Pucci from Stone Ocean.

9: A morally reprehensible bastard. A thoroughly rotten villain with maybe a few faint glimmers of good in them, but they're pretty far gone and revel in being bad too much. Manfred von Karma of Ace Attorney would land here.

10: A complete monster. They are absolutely, utterly irredeemable and commit some of the most heinous acts imaginable. Think serial killers like Buffalo Bill from The Silence of the Lambs and John Doe from Se7en (or Kevin Spacey in real life).

VILLAIN SCORES

These are what the actual ratings I give the villains mean.

1: The worst.

2: Mediocre villains. Bland, boring, not the worst but who honestly cares about these guys? This is the score that a generic military leader bad guy or a low-tier Bond villain would get.

3: A hilariously bad villain. Don't get it wrong, they still fail in numerous ways, but they fail in extremely entertaining ways that honestly make them better than villains with 4 and 5 scores.

4: A below average villain.

5: An average villain. They're serviceable.

6: An above average villain, though they probably aren't going to be anyone's favorite.

7: A really solid villain, though one that really could have used more fleshing out to really shine. It's the sort of score a perfectly average one-shot villain might get.

8: A truly great villain, though they're held back by a few flaws.

9: A fantastic villain, though not quite perfect.

10: The best of the best.

10.5: This is the only fractional score that deserves its own entry, because it denotes a villain who is great and iconic, but who hasn't left a massive impact on culture as of yet.

11: A villain who has literally changed fiction as we know it with their presence. We're talking Darth Vader, Fu Manchu, the Wicked Witch, Count Orlok and Count Dracula... These are the guys who come to mind when you think "villain."

The way you draw Pucci is just so soft, I love it so much. I don't blame people for having conflicted feelings about Part 6 but I really enjoyed it. It made me like Dio even more and Pucci is probably my fav villain rn :) I'm so happy to see him in your style

[Written on Monday/15th. Feeling slightly better now, but the facts still hold true.]

(So...for the past few days, I have been browsing Netflix for...children's cartoon animation movies to (re-)watch.

Today, I came across something called..."Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank"?

(which, by the way, I thought was a comic/cartoon-adapted movie, but apparently it's an original one)

Like a mature adult, I decided to watch it.

And, like a definitely non-weeb (and because it's available, otherwise it would be very hard to find), I decided to watch it in Japanese.

The first voice I 100% recognised was Jimbo's: Tesshō Genda （玄田哲章） [Younger Toguro, Sengoku Basara's Takeda, City Hunter's Umibozu] (Samuel L Jackson in the original voice, by the way). Which...okay, I know Genda-san does dubs. He's the voice of Foghorn Leghorn, after all. His voice is very iconic, too. You can't miss it when he does a "battle cry" thingie (maybe it's because I first knew him as Toguro).

But the second one I kinda recognised was Ika Chu's (yes that's the character's name apparently), and I was like:

"Wait, is that Tomokazu Sugita （杉田智和）???" [Gintoki Sakata, Kyon, Escanor, Joseph Joestar and much more]

And I immediately thought: "No way, Sugita doesn't do dubs..."

"But I also cannot not recognise that voice, his voice is very iconic too (and I have known him for a considerable number of roles, starting from Gintoki)."

After the movie, I checked the (Japanese) Wikipedia page, and literally did Joseph's "Naisu!" pose:

It really is Tomokazu Sugita.

And, to add on Sugita's role as Joseph Joestar: Apparently Hank's voice is Yū Hayashi （林勇）, who voices Smokey Brown.

Not gonna lie, I somehow found that very funny.

There are also apparently other (JoJo) casts, like Tomokazu Seki （関智一） [Enrico Pucci] and Junichi Suwabe （諏訪部順一） [Leone Abbacchio/Younger D'Arby], who voice Chuck and Ichirou respectively. But I couldn't recognise them while I was watching (probably because they are using some silly voices, instead of the ones you hear shouting "Whitesnake!!!" or "Moody Blues!!!")

And of course, Tesshō Genda voices Impostor Captain Tennille/Dark Blue Moon from Stardust Crusaders...if you remember who that is.

Maybe because I am still a student, I divide periods of my life into school years (instead of...you know, "real years").

Truth be told: This school year has been very bad for me.

Not because something bad happened (not something sudden and catastrophic), but because...nothing happened. I did nothing...outside school.

(Well, I had an internship interview during my very bad time in January, which was my first "job interview", and which was also my first unsuccessful "job interview").

And school is so super damn busy and stressful, that it is hard to do anything outside school.

I mentioned in my last...personal post, that I have been feeling mood swings. Some days are better (which are the days you see me liking and sharing posts, such as mid-February to early-March), and some days are absolutely bad (which are the days you don't see me at all).

Such as now. The reason why I am watching random stupid shit on Netflix is because, otherwise, I would be lying on my bed doing nothing. So I might as well be lying on my bed doing something. I can't sleep, because I have been sleeping too much already. I did try reading too, but I guess my mind is a bit too exhausted/overwhelmed to do that.

(I know I also should be spending at least some time socialising (a massive sorry to all my Discord server-mate seeing this), which is a "how to feel better" self-help tip I see in every single article. But whenever I am feeling bad, I just tend to...disappear. I know I should stop doing that, and I have been saying I will stop doing that. Sorry.)

Honestly, I shouldn't even be watching something on a Monday (it's my day off, but it's still a weekday, and I still have homework to do). I did go to school (to get out of home, at least), but I really had no energy to work today.

Okay, I actually have no energy nor interest to do...anything at all. I know it's waterfowl breeding season soon, and I haven't been to a park in...months. Which is definitely a sign that something is wrong with me.

This "on-and-off but constantly feeling bad on average" pattern reminds me of another past school year. A year I still dread and regret whenever I think about it.

Moreover, now that the Undertale cringe is one-year-old, I have successfully failed to create anything for a year.

Which is not ideal, and I have been saying this since last summer vacation. Because things have not been okay since then. My WIPs are becoming four years old.

I also didn't do any "active" stuff at all since school started, like gaming. My Brok the InvestiGator progress is still around 50%, so I have been dodging spoilers like mad. I tried to mod and play Skyrim a bit, but no big progress whatsoever (Vilja is still waiting for me to complete her quest). I know DD2 just dropped last month, but I haven't even bought it yet.

The only things I have done were "passive" things like watching shows/movies and reading fics. And sometimes even those stopped, when I am feeling really bad.

The reason why I am writing this is because "writing your feelings down" is another "how to feel better" self-help tip I see in every single article. I used to keep a diary where I did exactly this every day, but the habit sort of...faded away (during the aforementioned bad past school year, probably because I was too sad to write down how sad I was every day).

I don't have a cool/motivational ending to this, so I will just end it abruptly here.

Im not sure how long i had this blog in general. Maybe in late May??? Probably June.

But im just reflecting on things. Losing my old tumblr blog and emails before being hospitalized and sent to a facility. Then coming back making new emails and having to start over.

You'd think something like this would devastate me. But months earlier my house caught on fire and i lost all my sketches and artwork. I lost memorable items, manga collections i had since high school.

It was all gone. So some d*** hacking my phone and making me lose access to my emails and logins was the least of my problems. But when i went through living with someone who wanted to do s*xual things to me, being coerced while i was in psychosis and being assaulted.

I felt lost. Luckily when i was hospitalized i found God again. So i was working on getting back on the straight and narrow after i thought i was being spiritually attacked and realizing someone put a curse on me. (I think i know what happened but its another story for another day) And the psychosis took time to wear off.

In the meantime i managed to make a tumblr account again and start over. And i think its probably been about 2 or 3 months (getting out of that psychosis fog finally thank God!) And im not as patient and docile as i was before during the bits i was in psychosis. But im trying my best to stay close to God and Jesus and lead/live by example.

I feel like there's a lot i can thank God for and even if its just my psychosis i truly believe i am God's servant and soldier. I've been through so much and i had been so tough through it. It was scary, but braving it through and being patient taught me how to go about my life. It also taught me the importance of faith and my priorities.

I also realize that i can be really sh**ty to people i dont know online. But we can only blame negative and toxic internet culture for that. So i started vowing that i'll try to treat people the way i wanted to be treated online. Even if we are 'enemies' i'll still be nice and kind and give you advice on being a better person.

I wanna be the light for people online. Even if im posting dumb f/o and fandom related stuff. I wanna be that person where people see my icon and say "Theyre not perfect but they really try their best to be positive"

Like i said before i dont expect everyone to like me. I shouldnt care what others think of me either. But if someone says im toxic and i dont try, i'll tell them they are a liar. Because even before i got on here again i have been trying my best since the accident. I've slipped, fell, made lots of mistakes and had a hard time staying holy and righteous on my spiritual journey.

But anybody who judges me dont know what i went through. Dont know why i am the way i am. Dont know that im constantly improving me. With God and Jesus in my life, i may not know it all but i understand things a lot more than i did before. And im appreciative of Yahweh than i have ever been.

I know all of this is temporary anyway. Though i am appreciative of what i have now. Im not too keen on who we stay with for the moment, but im thankful i got a place to stay until we move. There's a lot to be grateful for now. And even though she drives me nuts, im grateful to have my mom.

These past few months in 2023 have been crazy. And i dont know how long i'll have this blog and side blogs. But im grateful it made it this far. And who knew i'd like Saitama from One Punch Man 🤷‍♀️ ?

But the fact i jumped from Enrico Pucci, to Joseph Joestar, to Saitama so quick worries it wont last. But i might have to force this hyperfixation somehow.

Anyway, I hope i didnt bore you too much. And i know most people on tumblr dont take time to read things. But i'd say: Count your blessings, be grateful for even the smallest things, appreciate your friends online and irl, and dont take things for granted
