Developed and directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge), Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre will be transformed into an intimate, immersive night club where the great American entertainer's meteoric journey - from soaring highs to crushing lows – is brought to life by Groff, a cast of 16, and features a live on-stage big band performing Bobby Darin's iconic hits including "Beyond the Sea," "Splish Splash," "Dream Lover," and "Mack the Knife." JUST IN TIME has a book by Tony Award winner Warren Leight (Side Man) and Isaac Oliver (Intimacy Idiot, "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel"), music supervision and arrangements by Andrew Resnick (Parade), choreography by Shannon Lewis (Fosse–Performer/Radio City Music Hall–Choreographer), and is based on an original concept by Ted Chapin. JUST IN TIME will open Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre (235 West 50th Street), with previews beginning Friday, March 28, 2025.

"Bobby Darin worked across many genres of music, but he was most alive performing in intimate nightclubs," says director Alex Timbers. "And so, it was vital to Jonathan and myself that we stage Just In Time at Circle in the Square. This is where we could build an environmental nightclub setting including a live, onstage big band that will allow the same sort of intimacy and electrifying audience connection that both Bobby and Jonathan are known for."

He blazed his way through every corner of the entertainment industry, but his enormous talent, charisma, and pure genius were most on display when he was letting it rip in front of a crowd. The meteoric rise of Sleep Token caught us all by surprise. At the start of 2023, the mysterious masked band were one of the metal underground's buzziest names. Led by enigmatic vocalist Vessel, they were a band to watch, for sure, but firmly attracted the niche passion of a cult following.

“It took me three listens of [The Summoning] to realise that when they do that whole psychedelic section at the end, that it’s actually the same chorus as it was before, only in a completely different way.” Evanescence’s Amy Lee told Revolver. “And I love it even more for that. Sleep Token weren’t the most obvious choice for a commercial breakthrough. The success of The Summoning, an unconventional, seven-minute, brutal shapeshifter, bucks just about every music industry trend there is.

It’s worth pointing out that in the social media era where celebrities and artists are more accessible than ever, Sleep Token have achieved all of this on their own terms. Last year, fans reacted with outrage when bassist III’s identity and birth certificate were allegedly leaked online, seemingly leading to a decision to wipe the band’s Instagram.

Chappell Roan may have broken the record for largest Lollapalooza crowd

Chappell Roan’s star continues to rise, with a recent set at Lollapalooza believed to have set the record for the largest crowd in the festival’s history.

The 26-year-old Midwest Princess’ set, which took place on the first day of the Chicago festival, surpassed the size of many headliners in attendance.

According to Rolling Stone, Roan was reportedly slotted to perform on a smaller side stage at the festival, but due to the number of fans waiting for her performance, organisers decided to swap Roan’s stage assignment with fellow pop singer Kesha.

Lollapalooza’s official social media highlighted the monumental moment with the post: “It’s Chappell’s world and we’re just living in it,” alongside an image of the enormous crowd at Grant Park.

While it is impossible to get definitive crowd numbers, an estimated 110,000 people were in attendance on day one of the festival.

A festival spokesperson told CNN: “Chappell’s performance was the biggest daytime set we’ve ever seen. It was a magical moment added to Lolla’s DNA.”

Roan later reflected on the monumental moment on social media.

“I was crying as I walked on stage at @lollapalooza because of the overwhelm of support,” Roan wrote.

“Thank you thank you thank you. I will remember this forever.”

In just a few years, K-pop girl group ITZY have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with – clearly giving their all as they took to the stage at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, where their fans (known as Midzys) filled the packed arena and cheered passionately from every angle.

ITZY made sure to kick off the show with high energy, which naturally lends itself to starting with their latest title track, “Born to Be.” Complete with dazzling stage production, the four girls walked out as silhouettes in perfect sync, capturing the audience’s attention with ease. It wasn’t long before they launched into their complex and iconic choreography that solidifies why they have quickly become one of the biggest acts in the fourth generation of K-pop.

Signed to JYP Entertainment among the likes of TWICE and Stray Kids, ITZY debuted in early 2019 and was catapulted to stardom with their hit single “Dalla Dalla.” With that song, the group ended up scoring one of the largest Billboard debuts for a new K-pop act in years and continued to break records left and right. Since then, they have continued their meteoric rise with a second world tour to celebrate the release of their latest album, Born to Be, which has created new fan favorite hits, like “Untouchable.”

That thoughtfulness was similarly placed in curating their set. Each ITZY member was able to have their own moment to shine during the solo act. Chaeryeong wowed the audience with her mirrored dance moves with “Mine,” Ryujin showcased her punk rock persona with “Run Away,” Yuna brought the fun and upbeat energy with “Yet, but,” and Yeji radiated confidence in her vocals with the empowering “Crown on My Head.”

ITZY’s unfaltering energy throughout the entire set and their enormous dedication to their fans indicate that they know how to masterfully deliver an entertaining concert.
