How do I get hypnosis to work for me?
Some people are highly suggestible and can go from 0-100 in hypnotic response, and many of us who also want to play, envy that ability! For other less suggestible people (which you may or may not be; I wouldn't know) it can be a process to learn how to respond seemingly “involuntarily” to suggestions to get that fun feeling of “mind control” kink. (Hypnosis is not really mind control, but shhh keep that under your hat.)
The process goes something like this:
DO follow suggestions consciously. It feels like "I'm just playing along; I’m not hypnotised." DO NOT jump to “Hypnosis doesn’t work for me.”
DO follow suggestions consciously. Feels like "Seems like a good idea. Why not? It's what I want anyway". DO NOT jump to “I’m faking it; I’m just pretending; I’m not hypnotised, I can’t do this.”
DO just keep complying, no matter how it feels. Imagine it working, what would that feel like? Make as if it were true. Starts to feel like "Yeah sure, whatever you say. How cool would it be if it were true?” DO NOT jump to “But it’s not really real. I’m just making it up.” (Of course you are, that’s the point. Why should that mean it isn’t real? What even is “real”?)
As you keep complying, notice all your little reactions coming quicker and easier. Feels like “OK, that happened fast. Wait, was that my idea or yours?"
Keep complying. Eventually feels like "whoa, why did I do that? How did that happen without me deciding to do it?"
Eventually, bit by bit, you are so used to just following suggestions and leaving the little doubting skeptic by the wayside. You’ll be having too much fun creating and experiencing things in your mind, to listen to the skeptic.
Don’t put a timeline on getting to a goal. Embrace the process and have fun.
In-person hypnosis will get you there faster, but you can train yourself part of the way. Files are very general and don’t work for everyone, but if they are all you have, they can give you some practice along the way. If they don’t work well for you, don’t leap to the conclusion that you can’t be hypnotised. But also, don't be too quick to put all the blame on the hypnosis as "not working"; that only gets in your way.
Take notice of each little win along the way and don't dismiss any small steps.
Good luck and play safe!

Parents, I know you all have good intentions. We get it, your son or daughter is the next superstar athlete. But overstepping in your child's sports activities is harmful to not only their development in the game but also may severely impact the love that they have for the sport itself. To many times I have found myself having to coach the parents on the sidelines rather than coaching my players on the field.
“Every parent signs kids up for sports or activities with good intentions. [But] sometimes, there can be a line that’s crossed, where suddenly the parent becomes more involved or invested in the outcome, versus the goal of why they signed up their kids in the sport in the first place” (New York Post).
For 10 years I have coached soccer at the:
-Junior College Level
-High School Level
-Youth Level (U6-U13)
You may be surprised to learn that even the parents of my college athletes can have a negative impact on their child's growth and development. Although these parents want the best for their kids and have good intentions, without realizing it they are hindering the possibility for growth. Here are the 5 most common problems that I have seen parents be guilty of :
1: Putting too much emphasis on winning
Parents often get caught up in the desire for their child's team to win at all costs. This puts immense pressure on young athletes and takes away from the joy of playing the game. Focus on the long term development process rather than immediate results.
2: Over involvement during games
Parents sometimes become overly involved during games, shouting instructions or criticism from the sidelines. This can distract both the child and the coach, hindering the player's ability to focus and enjoy the experience.
3: Unrealistic expectations
Setting unrealistic expectations for your child's performance can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety. Remember that each child progresses at their own pace and that the main goal should be personal growth and enjoyment.
4: Lack of communication with the coach
Some parents fail to establish open lines of communication with the coach. This can lead to misunderstandings and missed opportunities for constructive feedback and guidance.
5: Neglecting the importance of balance
Overcommitting children to multiple sports or excessive training sessions can result in burnout and physical or emotional exhaustion. It's crucial to allow time for rest, recovery, and pursuing other interests.
If you are a parent of an athlete and have found yourself guilty of any of these things, do not worry. We all want the best for our kids and if you can change your perspective and attitude you can make a positive impact on your child's development. Here are 5 things you can do to help keep your child invested and enjoying the sport:
Tip 1: Encourage effort and personal growth
Emphasize the value of hard work, dedication, and personal improvement rather than solely focusing on winning or losing. Celebrate your child's progress and achievements, regardless of the outcome.
Tip 2: Be a positive sideline presence
Cheer for your child and their teammates while maintaining a positive and encouraging attitude. Leave the coaching to the coach and refrain from excessive instructions or criticism.
Tip 3: Set realistic expectations
Understand that each child develops at their own pace and has unique strengths and weaknesses. Encourage them to enjoy the process, learn from their experiences, and set goals that are realistic and attainable.
Tip 4: Foster open communication with the coach
Establish a healthy line of communication with the coach. This allows you to understand their coaching philosophy, receive updates on your child's progress, and address any concerns or questions you may have.
Tip 5: Promote balance and well-being
Encourage your child to participate in a variety of activities and prioritize their overall well-being. Help them find a healthy balance between sports, academics, rest, and other hobbies, fostering their long-term enjoyment and development.
Remember, this is all about the KIDS. We had our chance when we were younger to play and enjoy the game, and now we have a great responsibility to pass on the love and joy that we once had on to our children and let them thrive! Good luck, and enjoy the journey.

"Overcoming Writer's Block: A (Mostly) True Tale of Triumph, Tears, and Typing"
Writing a book is tough work, especially when you hit the dreaded writer's block. I've been there more times than I care to admit - staring at a blank page, waiting for inspiration to strike, and ending up with nothing but a headache.
But recently, I had a breakthrough that helped me finally come up with a new chapter of my novel, without losing my mind in the process. It all started when I realised that I was putting too much pressure on myself to write the perfect first draft. I mean, come on, who am I kidding? Nobody writes a perfect first draft, except maybe Brandon Sanderson or Nicolas Sparks, if you know what I mean.
So I decided to give myself a break and just write without worrying about whether it was good or not. I mean, it couldn't be worse than the last chapter of Game of Thrones, right? (Sorry, George R. R. Martin.) And you know what? It worked! My ideas became clearer and the words flowed more easily, and I finally wrote something digestible and satisfying.
So if you're struggling with writer's block, my advice is simple: don't take yourself too seriously. Give yourself permission to write a crappy first draft, with the understanding that you can always go back and fix it later. And if all else fails, just take a break and binge-watch some Netflix or anime. It worked for me, and it could work for you too (just don't blame me if you end up getting hooked on Wednesday or Attack on titan).
Writing a book is a tough journey, but it's worth it in the end. Just remember to have fun along the way - after all, if you're not enjoying the process, what's the point?

So I had a go at 35mm film 📷 I bought a cheap Canon AV-1 (I prefer aperture priority anyways) and tested a role of Ilford HP5 film to see if the camera even worked. Despite being 44 years old it worked perfectly 🤩 These aren’t the greatest shots but I enjoyed the process👌🏼 Now I can try out some other types of 35mm film! If anyone has any favourites I should try just let me know 😄 • • • #35mm #canonav1 #ilfordhp5 #filmphotography #35mmfilm #canonfilm #blackandwhitephotography #ilford #vintage #monochrome #blackandwhite #film #photooftheday #enjoytheprocess #opticalwander #discoverunder5k #canon #35mmfilmclub #35mmfilmphoto #blackandwhitefilm #ukshooters #cityphotography #grainisgood #analogue #vintagecamera #ilford35mm https://www.instagram.com/p/CoeVDspjzoY/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🌿🌟 Life is a journey, not a destination; cherish each step along the way. 🌄💖 Sometimes, we get so focused on reaching our goals that we forget to appreciate the beauty of the path we're on. Each moment, each experience, and each interaction contributes to the richness of our lives. 🌌✨
Take a moment to reflect on the journey you've traveled so far. Think about the lessons you've learned, the friendships you've made, and the obstacles you've overcome. Each step has shaped you into the person you are today. 🌠🌿
It's important to set goals and work towards them, but it's equally important to enjoy the process. Life isn't just about achieving milestones; it's about savoring the small victories, finding joy in everyday moments, and embracing the growth that comes with each new experience. 🌈💫
So, slow down, take a deep breath, and be present in the journey. Treasure the highs and learn from the lows. Embrace the twists and turns, knowing that they are all part of the adventure of life. 🌟🛤️ Let gratitude guide you, and appreciate the journey as much as the destination. 💖🌿
