My favourite thing to do: talk about Endeavor
My least favourite thing to do: explain why I like Endeavor
#like you wouldn't bat an eye if I told you I like literally anyone else#but suddenly it's a problem and you “just don't understand” because it's the pathetic middle aged man#I can't just say “cause he's hot” that gives you the wrong impression#but if you're asking why nothing I say is going to convince you otherwise#you don't actually care you're just trying to gauge if I'm a normal person#because for some reason liking a murderer is fine#but a guy experiencing genuine change after doing some bad shit is inexcusable#excuse me for loving a good character arc#he's so well written but people overlook him because of personal bias#I can't make you like him but you should at least be able to understand why someone might#we were reading the same story#enji todoroki#mha endeavour

I’m also surprised at the whole thing with Endeavor’s career being “over” and him “taking the fall for Dabi” or whatever.
Guys.
THE MAN HAS KILLED ALL FOR ONE.
He lost his dominant arm to defeat the nation’s worst villain. He’s a war veteran who saved the country. “Dabi” is old news - it’s been a while since the reveal, and the whole time, as soon as he got out of the hospital, Endeavor has been fighting. Logically, he should be at the peak of his clout! He did something even All Might was not able to do. There is no way in hell, after removing the biggest stressor in every person’s life, he would still be dragged by most people for his past behavior. Especially given that he never denied his wrongdoings and has shown remorse. To a regular person, the very sight of Endeavor should bring relief, just like the sight of All Might used to. You know the man will sacrifice a limb to save you and risk his life - because he’s done that before.
Additionally, after All for One confessed to taking Touya and messing with his body, it should be clear that he had his hand in the making of Dabi. Endeavor didn’t make his (adult) son “kill 30 innocent people” any more than Shigaraki’s dad made him ruin cities and decay heroes.
Last but not least, Endeavor is a big-time dilf.
Yes, it sounds super unserious, but think about real-life media, the public, and fame. He’s a tall, good-looking, physically fit man with a sexy job, unusual hair color and rare eye color who wears a skintight outfit and has a powerful, impressive-looking quirk. When a famous person is attractive, they get away with shit a lot more easily.
Look at real-life MHA fans: who’s simping for ReDestro? No one. Now who’s simping for Dabi? Everyone.
This really isn’t reflected well in the manga or anime, Endeavor is depicted like some scary guy people avoid, but if you look at how real people behave, that’s not realistic. There would be simps galore, apologists, fans chasing him asking for stupid shit like “please yell at me,” “I want to have your babies,” or “please set me on fire,” people flashing him their boobs, people selling and buying Endeavor body pillows, accounts with pictures of his ass, etc. All this shit would only get more intense after the defeat of AFO and would contribute to Endeavor’s public approval score.
So no, I don’t think there’s a big scandal or that it makes sense for him to retire for something other than health or personal convictions.

an au where Izuku is an Inko/Enji accidental pregnancy would be so fucking funny if you consider the possibilities.
First of all, Inko and Enji would hate eachother bad. Collage rivals to frenemies to fuck buddies to Oh Fuck We Have A Child Together to Co Parents.
Rei is kind of happy about it. No attention means no harm. Also, it’s so very clear. Enji doesn’t need to scream he’s in love with Inko’s existence. She can tell by the passion in his hatred that he is.
“I hate Inko. I hate her bunny teeth, I hate her golden freckles, I hate how much better she is at math than me. I hate her.”
And Izuku isn’t aware of it, — most 3 year olds aren’t necessarily passionate about adults and their superficial complications. Loving was the easiest thing in the world. Kacchan makes it easy.
“…Deku, who’s that huge guy bickering with your Ma?”
“That’s mama’s wallet.”
“Her boyfriend??”
“That’s what I said!”
Let Enji have beef with 4 year old Bakugou right now. More than that, lock him in a room with Mitsuki and see what happens.
Enji still needs to be a bitch and a bad person at first. He still needs the bared teeth, the ruthless ambition, the undying thirst for potential. He needs to become what he has to kill, so something better can survive.
That being said. Inko fully expects him to completely erase himself from their world after Izuku’s diagnosis. “Does he still want to be a hero?” “…He always will.” “What’s the problem, then?”
Natsuo needs to cook this man alive the SECOND he learns he has a half brother. “Well. Fifth time’s a charm, huh?”
Inko and Todorki siblings. Right now.
Enji: I do not show favoritism. I disappoint my children equally
That being said Izuku comes back from school with tiny bruises on his knees and small, minor burns on his hands, and Enji is very ready to pull up and throw hands with some 5 year olds.
“You’re gonna have to learn how to punch.”
Baby Izuku, gently punching his leg: POW! .. I’m sorry :(( did that hurt :((((
Incredibly funny if Enji had a child obsessed with All Might. He literally reveals his secret love child to the world just so Toshinori can’t say Izuku is his.
Toshi had no intention of doing that and believes Enji is deeply insane
Baby Todoroki and Baby Izuku. That’s it
Izuku at his first day in UA: Hey, please let’s not tell the class we’re half siblings
Todoroki: Ok
Todoroki a minute later, turning to Izuku: Mom said its okay to punch Bakugou if you let me
#to be extremely clear I’m not erasing rei from the narrative. she and enji are married publicly and it’s a transacational arrangement#I mourn the friendship they could’ve had. maybe in this world it happens.#todoroki enji#midoriya inko#midoriya izuku#bnha au#shoto todoroki#bnha#my hero academia#mha#text posts

hello! I love your writings, I would like to ask you for some headcanons of platonic aizawa, present mic, hawks and endevor (separately) with a girl from the exchange program who stays at her house
Exchange

contents: Headcanons of Yan!Aizawa, Yan!Endeavor, Yan!Present Mic and Yan!Hawks with fem!reader who is an exchange student who is staying at their house. (Platonic!Yandere)
more Aizawa, Endeavor, Present Mic and Hawks content here!!
WARNINGS: IMPLIED CHILD/TEEN READER.
Aizawa Shota - Eraserhead
For someone who looks so relaxed, he's surprisingly strict.
With a death glare he tells you to behave. But he's never rude. He's just very stern, overprotective even.
"If something were to happen to you under my care, ___. What would I tell your parents?" it's his favorite phrase in all the world. Whenever you ask him for permission to do something, that's always his answer.
The only thing he isn't strict about is your sleep schedule. So long your finish your chores and homework, sleep as late as you want and wake up at whatever hour you prefer.
He's like... a dad in every sense of the word. He won't praise you, in fact, he'll tell you you suck ass all the time. In a loving way. Still, sometimes you see that unique look on his face when he's impressed by you, or moved, or whatever.
Enji Todoroki - Endeavor
He's trying to prove he doesn't suck ass. And he fails rather miserably at it.
He tries his best to be cool, a cool dad, a cool mentor, whatever. He isn't, his jokes are bad and being around him is uncomfortable at first. Mostly because he looks so fucking angry all the time.
Getting to know him is hard, takes a lot of patience. But after all, you learn he's not that bad. He's strangely comforting.
He gives you a warm embrace whenever you fuck up. He specially likes it when you cry, so he can pat your back reassuringly as he tells you how special you are to him, how important, how in his eyes, you'll always be number one.
He's fairly easy to manipulate. Just act upset, don't speak to him much and he'll bend and break within seconds, acting to your every whim.
Hizashi Yamada - Present Mic
Hizashi doesn't know what he's doing. It's not usual that they put children over his care, so he really is puzzled on what to do. What do you eat? What do you like? Does he have to take you on walks?
He tries his best, even if that means slacking off a little and eating junk food a lot of the time. But he makes you give your best, and will make you work hard to earn luxuries under his care.
He's loud, he likes loud people and loud places. He likes rowdy children who will break stuff and get dirty. He smiles a lot, he's warm and caring, and a good guy in general.
He's very tender, often getting very distressed at the thought of you doing dangerous things. He always seems about to pop a vessel whenever you go on a mission without him.
Keigo Takami - Hawks
Hawks is absolutely terrified of children. Much more when they're gifted. He sees himself in those eyes, in those bodies. And he panics.
He tries to act cool, non chalant, like he doesn't want to wrap you with his wings and keep you safe from everything around you. Like he won't take a bullet in the head just to ensure you get home safe from school. He's very good at pretending he doesn't care.
Perhaps the most overwhelming of the bunch. He has eyes and ears everywhere, he knows when you're lying, when you're feeling anything, when you crave, when you dream, when you cry. He knows it.
He's all over you. Picks out your clothes, your hobbies, your diets. He's a control freak.
But he's sweet. Always offering you comforting words and reassuring smiles. Always having something to bribe you with, to keep you content. To keep you his.
hope you enjoyed this
have a great day/night

Walk in on Each Other Doing Something Extremely Embarrassing

What happens when the MHA guys walk in on their love sick friends doing something embarrassing?
Featuring: Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, Shota Aizawa (Eraserhead), Hizashi Yamada (Present Mic), Keigo Takami (Hawks), Enji Todoroki (Endeavor), Toya Todoroki (Dabi), Tomura Shigaraki, Shoto Todoroki, Fumikage Tokoyami, Mezo Shoji, Tenya Ida
Midoriya Walks in on Bakugo… Looking at Pictures of You Like a Lovesick Fool.
Midoriya pushes open the door without thinking. “Hey, Kacchan, I was wondering if you—”
Bakugo’s head snaps up. He is mid-scroll through his camera roll… full of pictures of you.
Midoriya blinks. Bakugo blinks.
Neither of them move.
“…So,” Midoriya starts carefully. “You—”
“GET. OUT.”
“Are those—”
Bakugo’s entire phone combusts in his hands. “I SAID GET OUT.”
Midoriya wisely leaves. He will never forget this.
(For weeks, Bakugo is paranoid that Midoriya will bring it up. He does. Often.)
Mirio Walks in on Tamaki… Practicing Asking You Out in the Mirror.
Tamaki stares intensely at his reflection. “H-Hey, Y/N… you look… uh… nice today. No, too stiff. Okay, um—h-hey! Looking good. NO, TOO FORWARD—”
Mirio leans against the doorframe, grinning ear to ear.
Tamaki doesn’t notice. He takes a deep breath. “Y/N, I think I—I mean, I know I like you. Would you—”
Mirio clears his throat.
Tamaki freezes.
Mirio waves. “Oh, don’t stop! I was really getting into it.”
Tamaki short-circuits. He vanishes into his cloak like a dying star.
(Mirio tells you immediately. You find it adorable. Tamaki never recovers.)
Denki Walks in on Kirishima… Taking a Shirtless Gym Selfie for You.
Kirishima angles his phone. “Alright, cool, cool—gotta flex a little, but not too much. Make it look natural.”
Denki peeks in. “Bro?”
Kirishima whips around. His phone flies out of his hands.
Denki stares at the shirtless, sweaty, flexing Kirishima. “Wait… were you—”
Kirishima grabs him by the shoulders. “Denki, listen.”
Denki’s grin grows. “Were you sending that to Y/N?”
Kirishima sweats. “I—uh—”
Denki cackles. “OH MY GOD, YOU WERE.”
(The selfie never gets sent. Denki teases him about it forever.)
Aizawa Walks in on Hizashi… Singing a Love Song About You in His Underwear.
Aizawa regrets opening this door.
Hizashi is mid-spin, hair down, air-guitaring a love ballad about you. In his boxers.
Aizawa blinks slowly.
Hizashi notices.
They stare at each other.
Aizawa shuts the door. Walks away. Says nothing.
(For weeks, Hizashi lives in fear of Aizawa bringing it up. He never does. It’s worse.)
Hawks Walks in on Endeavor… Watching a Romantic Movie and Sobbing Over a Confession Scene.
Hawks leans in the doorway. “Whatcha watchin’, boss?”
Endeavor scrambles for the remote.
Too late. The screen clearly shows a couple confessing their love in the rain.
Endeavor sniffles.
Hawks grins. “Aww, is someone thinking about confessing to Y/N?”
Endeavor glares. “Leave.”
Hawks flops onto the couch. “Nah, I wanna see how it ends.”
(Hawks tells you immediately. You tease Endeavor. He pretends he doesn’t care. He absolutely cares.)
Dabi Walks in on Shigaraki… Having a Full Conversation with a Picture of You.
Shigaraki stares at the screen. “I mean, yeah, you’d probably like me better if I wasn’t, you know, a wanted villain. But whatever. It’s not like I care what you think.”
Dabi leans against the wall. “Wow. You’re really arguing with their photo?”
Shigaraki jerks in surprise.
Dabi grins. “Dude, you are down bad.”
Shigaraki throws the phone at him. “SHUT UP.”
(Dabi never lets him live this down.)
Bakugo Walks in on Shoto… Practicing Pick-Up Lines in the Mirror.
Shoto nods at himself. “Hey, Y/N. You’re looking—uh… radiant. No, too poetic. Looking fine? No, that’s weird…”
Bakugo leans against the doorframe. “Oh, don’t stop. This is good.”
Shoto slowly turns.
They stare at each other.
Bakugo grins. “Keep goin’, I wanna see where this ends.”
Shoto closes the door in his face.
(Bakugo tells everyone. Shoto has never been more embarrassed.)
Tokoyami Walks in on Shoji… Writing You a Love Letter.
Shoji hunches over his desk, writing furiously.
Tokoyami tilts his head. “What are you doing?”
Shoji jumps. “Nothing.”
Tokoyami leans over his shoulder. The words "Dear Y/N, I think about you every day" are right there.
Tokoyami grins. “Ah. Poetry of the soul.”
Shoji slowly crumples the paper.
(The letter is rewritten. It eventually gets to you.)
Tenya Walks in on Denki… Trying to Take a Dick Pic.
Denki angles his phone. “Okay, lighting is important—oh crap, bad angle—”
Tenya walks in.
Denki screams.
Tenya screams.
Denki fumbles the phone.
Tenya turns around so fast he almost trips. “KAMINARI, WHAT THE HELL?”
Denki is on the floor, crying. “BRO KNOCK FIRST.”
Tenya slams the door shut. They never speak of this. Ever.(Denki does not send the picture. He never recovers.)

His Favorite Girl | Enji Todoroki x Chubby!Reader feat. Shoto Todoroki
Summary; Shoto Todoroki is mean.
A big, stupid mean jerkface.
Basically, Shoto is acting like an ass and it leaves you feeling bad, luckily, his daddy Enji knows how to treat a girl like you right ;)
(Warnings: age gap(Enji is 46, reader and Shoto are 23)cheating, mean!Shoto, ooc! Enji(he’s literally so sweet) P in V, cunnilingus, squirting)
You honestly don’t know how it got to this point.
It feels as though a second ago, your heart was torn in two. As though you’d never allow yourself to fall in love again, prepared to spend the remainder of your days with a pet cat or two as your sole company.
Now. Now you think you’ve never truly been in love until this point.
Shoto was the first boy that ever truly liked you back. You remember the day that you confessed, you swore that you’d tease him about the cute blush that spread across his face for the rest of your lives and that you’d always be there for each other.
And it was cute, the puppy love, the hot sex in varying public spaces. He wasn’t a bad lover, per se. He wasn’t like other guys your age who couldn’t be asked with making you cum, and while you may have wanted more from him, he was really the only relationship you’d known.
Sometimes though, sometimes he could be real mean.
Maybe it was because his dad took an unusual liking to you, always offering you to stay for dinner, offering an internship at his agency or a recommendation to one of your choosing. He was always so supportive of you, anytime you’d make an achievement he was there.
Great job, sweetheart.
You need anything, honey?
Just wanna take good care of my favorite girl.
Since fucking when did you guys get so close? It grated on Shoto’s nerves. How close you were to his dad. And it bothered him how easy it was for his dad to sing your praises yet it took him years to do the same with Shoto. It didn’t help that anytime he brought you home it was like you spent more time with his father than him. The only time he had you to himself was when he was fucking you loud enough for his father to hear.
Shoto was pissed and if he can’t hurt his dad, then he’ll hurt you.
— —
Enji doesn’t know when it started.
At first, he thought your relationship with his son was good. You both were different, but as they say, opposites attract.
He was turning over a new leaf. He didn’t want to control his son’s love life in the same way his was controlled and he thought you were good for him, you were bubbly and sweet yet you were quick to call him out on his shit when the situation deemed necessary.
He had originally asked you to intern at his agency so that you and Shoto could work together, and after seeing you in action firsthand, he knew he had made the right choice.
So when? When did he just say fuck all and fell in love with you?
If he was honest, he doesn’t know when, maybe he always had been. You were just everything Shoto’s mother wasn’t. You were soft, so fucking soft. A walking temptation. You always wore the skimpiest tops, breasts practically spilling over the top. You wore cute thigh highs that had a little pudge peeking over the top. The tightest fucking sundresses that pressed against the chub of your tummy, hugged the curve of your ass. Whenever you’d greet him, you’d give him a firm, warm squeeze with the words Good to see you again, Enji falling from your plump lips. You always smelled so fucking good.
He wanted you, bad. And the fact that you were so insistent on spending time together under the guise of “bonding” wasn’t working in his favor.
— —
It was a bit difficult to pinpoint when Shoto’s change in behavior started. He’d always been frigid, but recently he’s been downright cold.
He doesn’t offer much aftercare afterwards, not that he knew how to provide much to begin with, but he’d at least hold you afterward.
Now, he just turns over and picks up his phone, leaving you to fend for yourself. And while Shoto hoped that this would deter you from wanting to be around him, it just pushed you further into his father’s arms.
Unbeknownst to him, after your sessions, his dad would be in the kitchen, plate of food and your favorite drink already prepared for you to try. And while you feel embarrassed about what Enji might’ve heard, he never makes you feel uncomfortable around him. You’d even started picturing him while his son was balls deep in your cunt.
— —
It all comes to a head when Shoto leaves after another round. He doesn’t offer much of an explanation and it’s when Enji sees you tear up in front of him that he decides enough is enough.
“Am I not pretty, Enji?” You practically blubber to him. Through your tears you confide in him that a friend of yours saw Shoto cozying up to Momo, one of the more slim-bodied girls at your university. You had noticed Shoto’s interest in her, but he’d assured you that he only had eyes for you.
What a load of shit.
And Enji tells you as much, tells you that you didn’t need Shoto, that you were smart, kind and beautiful, gorgeous even and that he wishes he had met you when he was younger. Maybe then he’d have been married to someone he actually liked.
And he doesn’t realize he’s told you as such until he feels you press a sweet, chaste kiss to his lips. You sniffle, the drying tear tracks trailing down your chubby cheeks only somehow adding to your beauty.
You were too precious. Much too precious for Todoroki men.
Unfortunately for you, it’s a known fact that Todoroki men ruin everything they touch. However, Enji has plans to ruin you in a different way.
— —
You’ve never been with anyone as big as Enji. At a staggering 6’5, almost 300 pounds, the man exuded dominance and you’d be lying if it didn’t have your pussy quaking in anticipation.
While you’ve witnessed him take down enemies in a downright merciless fashion, the way he was taking care of you, pressing soft, wet kisses to your plush body, sucking hickies into the soft skin. The way he takes his time, checking to ensure you’re feeling good has you wondering why you were even upset in the first place.
And when he finally presses his lips to where you need him most, you’re crying at the pleasure. He hums around your nub, flicks his tongue and sucks up your juices like he’s starving. And he is! He’s starved himself of your touch, of you, for too long. If his son doesn’t know what to do with a smart, beautiful, fascinating woman, he’ll just have to show him.
It doesn’t take long before you reach your high, Enji’s name falling off your lips like a prayer as your head falls back against the arm of the couch.
He works you through it, slowly easing a finger followed by another into your wet heat. You gasp at the intrusion, his fingers feeling thicker than Shoto’s cock and the thought has you wondering how huge he must be if he’s stretching you so well with just his fingers. And almost as if he read your mind, Enji reaches down to free himself from the confines of his sweatpants. He didn’t bother wearing a shirt, wanting to feel comfortable in his home and had omitted boxers for the same reason, thus causing his cock to slap up against his abdomen, a bit of pre leaking from the tip.
You could feel yourself salivating and it isn’t until you feel him squeezing at your love handles that you tear your eyes away from the sight. “Soon, sweet girl. Right now, daddy needs to feel you, okay?” He coos against your lips. You peck his lips before spreading your legs a bit wider, inviting the hulking man in.
He lets out a breath, the sight of your sopping cunt enough to push him to edge. But this isn’t about him. It’s about you.
His favorite girl.
He truly doesn’t know when the infatuation with you started and he doesn’t know if it’d ever end, but what he does know is that there’s no going back for him.
He feels you wiggling underneath him, coaxing him to fuck you and it isn’t until he hears you murmur how much you need him, how long you’ve needed him that he finally pushes in.
He’s massive. Truly the biggest you’ve ever had and somehow he’s the softest you’ve ever been with, nuzzling his nose against your chubby cheeks, kissing away your tears and whispering praises of how you're taking him so well, so deep. You're creaming around him, a white ring building at the base of his cock and that just makes him fuck you harder, eager to see his seed spill from your cunt.
You’re both close, so incredibly close you can practically taste the orgasm on the others tongue. It’s when he moans into your mouth for you to please cum for him that you do, a choked sob echoing from your chest that you squirt all over his cock, drenching him in your release.
Your orgasm triggers his and before long his cock is pulsing, his hot seed spilling into your cunt, painting your walls white. He presses wet kisses trailing from your lips to your neck as he fills you up. His knees almost buckle the way you’re milking him and when he’s finally finished, he slowly pulls out, his cum gushing from your abused cunt. It’s while you’re both in the afterglow of your orgasm, pressing sweet kisses against each other that you both hear the door slam shut.
“What the actual fuck are you doing?! Are you serious? My fucking dad?” Shoto exclaims. You’re too busy pressing little kisses against Enji’s biceps to pay him any attention. “Calm now, son. It isn’t her fault-” Enji doesn’t get a chance to explain before Shoto directs his anger towards him. Only when you hear Shoto accuse him of taking advantage of you, do you finally break out of your haze. “He didn’t take advantage of me, Shoto, he showed me everything that YOU can’t do for me. So you can go back to fucking Momo and bitch about your problems to her.” You hiss at him.
Shoto’s stunned and Enji’s impressed. He chances a glance at his son who can only muster a half-hearted glare before stomping away to his room.
The room is silent for a moment as the weight of what’s transpired settles. It’s soon interrupted by the kisses you resume before you were caught and Enji feels a genuine smile creep onto his face. He knows things will probably never be the same between him and his son and while he knows that should trouble him, he can’t bring himself to worry about it right now.
Because Enji has denied himself of something good for too long and if his son doesn’t like it, well, he can just ask for forgiveness later. And even if he doesn’t get it, Enji doesn’t care.
Cause he’ll have you.
His favorite girl.

Oblivi_n.exe | Dabi/Touya Todoroki

Touya Todoroki, known as ‘Dabi’ to the league, quirk class: cremation, mech title: Blue. You’re his new handler.
As Dabi’s new handler, you’re well aware of his history, how frequently he goes through handlers assigned to him. Not that he ever uses them—it’s more complete resistance. You’re not particularly good at your job. Transferred from the PLF for lack of success in handling any of their pilots, you’ve always been far too gentle. You lack authority. Your pilots never respected you. You don’t think Dabi will be any different. You give it a week.
Notes: okay wow hiiiii it’s been a long time since I’ve posted an actual fic (nearing almost a year now😬) this is something I’ve been working on for a bit. I have mech brain rot curtesy of @streimiv and @hawnks (both of whom this is dedicated to bc there’s no way I could have written this without yapping to them abt it and also mint helped me come up w the acronym for HERO’s) and we’ve all got our own mech fics in the works atm but anywayssssss this is kind of my baby atm but I hope it makes sense it’s very inspired first and foremost by pacific rim and then also NGE (mostly through consumption of YouTube vids bc I haven’t actually watched it pls don’t hate me) it’s a whole mess of things and Dabi is kind of a bitch and reader is slowly coming into herself and at the end of the day they both wanna be metal fused to one another forever (no matter how hard he denies it) also I’m not a huge computer person idk if this title makes sense so don’t make fun of me pls ok anyways I hope u like it!!!!
Warnings: 18+, minors DNI, pilot!Dabi x handler!reader, there’s no explicit sexual content in this part, not even a kiss sorry guys, mentions of robot gore (exposed wires, insides described as guts), brief descriptions of being trapped inside a small space, descriptions of burning while inside said space, mention of surgery to fashion a metal jaw onto someone, mentions of child abuse (nothing graphic just allusions to the todoroki family and touya’s past), angst, many run on sentences, a small cliff hanger
Words: 7.9k
Pt. 1 | Pt. 2 (coming soon)

You are nothing without your machine.
It’s the first rule, the first thing beaten into his brain by his father. You carry the burden of the mech alone, or you’re weak. You don’t exist.
U.A. raises the best and brightest pilots, navigators, mechanics, and handlers, each one carefully trained to ensure the most important outcome: winning. It should be protection. It should be defense. But if Touya has learned anything at all, it’s that winning means glory. It means worship. It means HERO’s (Human Engineered Robotic Objects) are saints, and pilots are gods.
Touya used to be one of those best and brightest before his accident.
First son to Enji Todoroki, Touya was supposed to be the golden child, the first Todoroki to pilot without a handler. He was supposed to carry the burden alone, something his father couldn’t do, something only one man has ever actually been capable of.
But Touya is born weak, bad bones, a brain unable to handle all that the mech needs to unload onto it. One too many accidents results in him being expelled from the pilot program, his HERO discarded and collecting dust in its pod, and Touya is promptly transferred to mechanics.
It should have been a smooth transition. If one kid can’t handle it, the next will. Because they have to.
He doesn’t take the news well. It’s a fit of tears, a persistent fight, unable to accept the loss of his machine—of his body. Because Touya loves it. What he lacks in strength, he makes up for in pure passion, and despite being unable to handle the burden, there’s no denying that he’s good. He’s almost perfect.
But almost is not enough for Enji Todoroki, and no matter how hard Touya tries, he’s made up his mind.
After months of mechanics, Touya makes a decision. When the next fleet of HERO’s is deployed for the next kaiju battle, Touya sneaks in among the chaos, tucked neatly inside the chest of his machine where he belongs. It doesn’t take long for things to go south, for Touya to get caught in the crossfire, losing control of his mech and burning from the inside out.
It should be an excruciating death, stuck inside a machine made for war, fire raining from above as a battle continues on outside without him.
But he survives, because what he lacks in strength, he makes up for in resilience, and his mech is programed with solutions to every situation. He’s stuck inside for months before he’s found.
Tomura Shigaraki rescues him, pries open the chest of his mech and pulls him from inside. His group feeds him, takes him in, fashions a new jaw for him made from the metal of his mech, and allows him the decision to join their cause or go back home.
And since there’s no home to go back to, Touya finds his footing with the league and becomes one of their top pilots. One who vehemently resists any and all handlers.
…
Touya Todoroki, known as ‘Dabi’ to the league, quirk class: cremation, mech title: Blue. You’re his new handler.
As Dabi’s new handler, you’re well aware of his history, how frequently he goes through handlers assigned to him. Not that he ever uses them—it’s more complete resistance. You’re not particularly good at your job. Transferred from the PLF for lack of success in handling any of their pilots, you’ve always been far too gentle. You lack authority. Your pilots never respected you. You don’t think Dabi will be any different. You give it a week.
Following closely behind Tenko, formerly Tomura, he quickly explains to you the in’s and out’s of the pilot/handler relationship, along with a warning about Dabi’s resentment toward the whole idea. You try to keep up, but he talks quickly and uses his hands a lot. Even so, you can tell he’s a natural leader, something he had to grow into after overthrowing the man who raised him. His story is a tragic one, and it resonates with you because Tenko came out the other side stronger. Now, the league is a community with a cause, one you really believe in. Even if you and Dabi aren’t the right fit, you still have a place here.
You follow Tenko into what he calls the garage, a large floor of the abandoned academy that serves as the league’s base, this part of it full of HERO’s and mechanics all focused on the machines in front of them. It’s completely different from how HERO’s were worked on at UA, where you grew up, and even the PLF didn’t have one dedicated floor to this sort of work. You can feel the energy of the room buzzing on your skin, music blasting from old radios and mechanics tossing tools towards one another in a familiar routine. Tomura leads you to Dabi and his HERO, Blue, though you’re instructed not to call it a HERO around him. With goggles over his eyes and gloved hands, he brings two wires from Blue’s ankle together, sighing at the way they spark each time they connect.
“Dabi.” Tomura calls over the music coming from the radio hanging off of Dabi’s waist. He drops the wires and his gaze flickers toward the two of you. Pushing his goggles up to his forehead, he gives you a once over. His eyes are the brightest you’ve ever seen—kaiju blood blue—and burn scars litter his body. He’s striking in a way you’ve never seen, almost too beautiful to be human. Giving Dabi your name, Tomura explains that you’re taking over as his handler, seeing as he couldn’t keep the last one for more than a couple of days. “She’s your last handler. If you can’t keep this one, then go ahead and fry your brain. See if I care.”
“You say that every time.” Dabi calls from around sucker as Tomura walks away, leaving you alone with your new pilot.
You just your hand out in a greeting, “I’m looking forward to working with you.”
Eyeing your hand, Dabi shakes his head and turns his back to you, picking the two wires back up and connecting them again, despite the same spark from before igniting between the two. He looks back up at Blue, touching his fingers to the slim lines starting at the back of her ankle and running all the way up her leg. You peak over his shoulder at the wiring, noticing that he’s connecting two of the wrong ones.
“It’s the wrong wire.” You tell him, and he spins around to look at you, tearing his goggles from his face as he scoffs.
“Here we go.” He sighs with a roll of his eyes, pulling the candy from his lips and tossing it onto the tool cart without a care. “Handler know-it-all bullshit. This is my mech.”
You push passed him and grab the similarly colored wire from beside a red wire and connect it with the one in Dabi’s right hand. Blue lights up cyan through the thin lines that run along each of its limbs and torso, connecting with the two cameras within its head, which seem to blink before the light reaches them.
In an instant, you’re being pushed up against the hard metal, a strong arm over your chest—pinning you up against the HERO. Dabi, now having discarded his goggles, looks at you full of white, hot rage.
“Don’t fucking touch her.” He growls. You’re suddenly aware of the close proximity, eyes flickering between the snarl across his lips and his angry gaze. For a beat, you both freeze, the air suddenly charged like you’re waiting for one another to strike. Snapping yourself out of his hypnotic stare, you push against his chest, forcing him to let you go.
“If I’m going to be you’re handler, you’re going to have to trust me with her.” You remind him. He lets out a harsh laugh, like he can’t believe you would suggest such a ridiculous idea.
“I don’t trust anything but this machine.” He speaks, turning away from you to seal up the machine’s exposed wires. It’s a challenge you’re willing to accept.
“Well, I’m here to change that.” You tell him, before turning on your heel to leave him alone.
He thinks he’ll give you a week.
…
One of the worst parts of being assigned a handler, Touya thinks, is the way that pilot/handler living quarters are set up. He assumes the academy, before it was abandoned and turned into a base for the league, created this sort of set up so that handlers could keep a close eye on their pilots. The handlers Touya has burned through up until now also assumed the same.
The door that connects both the pilot’s and handler’s dorms doesn’t lock, and all of Touya’s past handlers have taken advantage of this fact. He’s been pulled out of bed far too early, pushed around and commanded and barked at. Most handlers behaved as if pilots belonged to them, which was the sentiment drilled into their brains from being thrown into such a fucked up system at a young age.—unless you were a pilot of status like a Todoroki. While he league dedicates a lot of its time to reversing these ideas, most handlers look at Touya like some kind of challenge, this arrogant pilot begging to be tamed. It never takes long for them to realize how easily he’s able to flip the switch on them. You’ll be no different.
But hours pass and you still haven’t entered. You don’t swing the door open and demand he apologize for his behavior earlier. You don’t try and punish him with training regimes, a command of a set of push ups, a schedule you expect him to follow, an extremely detailed meal plan. The entire evening comes and goes without so much as a sound on the other side of the door so he knows you’re even behind it.
He falls asleep unnerved by this, waking up late into the night in a cold sweat, expecting you to barge in, rip the covers from his body and demand to train together. When he wakes up (peacefully) the next morning, there’s no sign of you. He rises from his bed, drinks orange juice straight from the carton and eats a candy bar for breakfast. He fiddles with the navigation screen from his mech that stopped working a couple of days ago, tools spread out on the counter in front of him. Once he’s got the thing working again, your knock sounds from the unlocked door between the two of you. He thinks this might be it, the commands he expects to fall from your lips at the ready as he swings the door open, but you stand there, nervous, hands twitching as your eyes finally meet his.
Greeted by a shirtless Touya, hair mused from sleep, cargo pants hung low on his hips, dog tags swinging against his chest, his scars on display, unashamed and proud. The sight of him knocks the breath out of you, and you clear your throat in embarrassment, hoping your state of dreaming comes off as nerves rather than lust.
“Dabi. Or do you prefer Touya?” You smile. When he doesn’t answer, you continue. “I wanted to see if you wanted to eat breakfast together in the caf. I think we should start over. Yesterday was—”
You’re promptly cut off, “I already ate breakfast.”
With a harsh slam of the door, he leaves you stunned in your room.
You eat alone.
When you started as a pilot, back when you’d entered UA (a few years about Touya’s accident), you went into it believing you could change the world. The exam had placed you into the position of handler, and you were assigned a pilot who had always seemed a little frightened of you despite your obvious lack of authority. Bringing the fact up to your instructors did nothing. They all assured you that this was the ideal dynamic, that the handler always had the upper hand, but you hated that feeling. You weren’t a team like you expected to be; you were urged to control your pilot. You were there to keep them in line, not to be a pillar of support. The bond was never built on trust, and the soul link was always a looming threat. No matter how many pilots you went through, the link was never held as a gift, but a prison, something you would both be stuck with for the betterment of society, a sacrifice to make.
You’d been expelled from the handler program after guiding your pilot to help save another in the wreckage of your first battle together, resulting in the damage of your pilot’s HERO. Your pilot was okay, but the other couldn’t be saved, and you were blamed for the damage of both mech’s.
When you found the league (or when the league found you), you were working with the PLF, but proved to be a weak handler. Every pilot you were assigned to took advantage of your optimistic outlook on the kind of relationship dynamic that pilots had with their handlers. Despite all that you had been through at UA, and with the rest of the pilots you’d been paired with after, you never gave up the hope that handlers and pilots could behave as a team, or, even better, one entity.
Tenko had taken one look at you and demanded you’d be transferred to the league. There hadn’t been much of a choice in the matter, not that you really cared. You were miserable everywhere else. But when you arrived at the abandoned academy and taken a peak behind the kudzu covered walls where each and every area of the building acted as multiple moving parts in collaboration with one another in order to create one massive system, you realized that this was the future you imagined for yourself—and for the world you lived in.
Tenko saw something in you that day, something you aren’t sure you even see in yourself. And so Dabi was your first task, one that’s proving to be very difficult. But he doesn’t treat you like all the other pilots before had. He doesn’t use you. In fact, it seems like he wants nothing to do with you. And while that’s a problem, it’s still one you can work with.
You’re broken from your thoughts by the sound of a voice through an overhead intercom asking for everyone to meet on the first floor of the academy at their earliest convenience. Judging by the quick movements of those around you, you figure you’d better head downstairs as soon as possible.
The meeting on the first floor makes you very aware of just how small the league really is. While it’s definitely not a tiny organization, it’s still much smaller than both UA and the PLF. With everyone piled up like this in one group, you realize it feels more like a community, and the hum of conversation that surrounds you comforts you in a way you’ve never felt within the walls of any other academy before.
There’s discussion about the upcoming mission, one which may be the league’s most ambitious yet; the plan to hijack a mech and kidnap a pilot may be a little unorthodox compared to the league’s past missions, but the jaded pilot they’re targeting has a high chance of joining the cause. Or that’s what they have assumed. As the bodies move and speak around you, it strikes you how different this meeting is from any other meeting you’ve ever been a part of. Tenko is less a dictator and more a wrangler for the disembodied voices of your peers.
You don’t know much about his story, save for the vague details you’ve heard, but Tenko’s status as a lone handler is something you find yourself curious about. If he’s able to work without a pilot, why can’t you? It’s an idea you keep in your back pocket, one you think you can fall back on if things with Touya don’t work out. But you want them to work out. So badly.
You aren’t sure what it is about him, but he’s reignited that spark inside of you. You know he’d rather you give up, and maybe the you from a couple of months ago would have, but something about him—and this place—won’t let you leave.
As you observe the meeting, you take the time to look around the room, taking in your peers and their attentive faces as they listen to Tenko intently. You turn to your right, your eyes meeting a pair of blue ones, impossible to miss. Dabi holds your stare for what feels like ages, and when your colleagues erupt in a fit of many simultaneous discussions, you tear your eyes from his to observe the commotion. When you glance back in his direction, he’s gone.
You don’t seem him again after that. You train with other handlers, get to know your peers a little better. Everyone else seems to be welcoming, and most offer you sympathy when they find out you’re Touya’s new handler. From what you can gather, he’s had his fair share of them, all of which have quit or left in hysterics due to his harsh nature. When you ask around about where he could be, you’re told that he’s most likely in the garage, a place you assume he’s in more often than not.
You don’t know if you’ll ever get used to the garage. A place so completely different, so against the ideas and beliefs of any other academy you’ve been a part of, the chaos and community within is so foreign to you. You find Touya with Blue, working inside of her chest, where the cockpit is.
“Touya!” You call up to him and watch as he peaks his head over the edge of her metal plating. Annoyance falling across his face, he jumps down from where he stands, landing hard on his feet in front of you.
“What are you doing here?” He questions, his figure so tall and imposing above you. He’s not particularly muscular, not even all that tall compared to Tenko, but he makes you feel small regardless, in more ways than one. Rolling your shoulders back, you stare straight into his eyes, unwilling to back down.
“I figured you wanted your space today.” You explain, as Touya moves around you to get to his rolling cart of tools, forcing you to turn toward him and follow him if you want him to hear you. “I know adjusting to a new handler is rough, and I never want to make you uncomfortable. But I was thinking we could try some of those pilot/handler bonding exercises. It might be good to start training like some of the others do.”
He drops the wrench in his hand onto his cart with a loud thud, turning around toward you with a look of disbelief on his face. “Pilot/handler bonding exercises? They really brainwashed the shit out of you at UA, huh?”
At the mention of your past academy, your eyes widen in surprise. You had no idea he knew about that. Clearing your throat in order to compose yourself, you speak again, “I left UA for a reason. I have no attachment to their methods, but you guys do the same stuff here, so what’s the issue?”
“The issue is that I never asked for a fucking handler in the first place, especially not one as eager as you.” He spits, “Sure, you’re understanding now, all that bullshit about ‘giving me space,’ but the moment you get a lick of power over me, you’ll change. You’re not different.”
“I don’t want power over you. This is an equal exchange. Pilot’s and handlers are meant to be a team—” You try and argue, but he doesn’t let you finish.
“That’s what they told you, right? We’re a team, and as teammates, you make sacrifices. And it doesn’t matter if one of you turns into the other’s braindead dog because that’s your place.” His words hit you hard, the exact thought process you went through when leaving UA, completely disillusioned with their idea of “teamwork.” He’s right, and you know it, but since coming here, you thought that wasn’t how it had to be.
“Look, trust me, I get—” You’re cut off again.
“You went to UA! There’s no trusting you.” He scoffs, “It’s not like you’ll last here, anyway.”
“You are such a hypocrite! You’re from UA!” You retort, throwing your arms up in desperation. “You can hate me all you want. You can resist and resist and fry your brain ‘till there’s nothing left, but I believe in this shit. And you don’t get to tell me that I don’t, or tell me I’ll turn into something I worked so hard to get away from.”
Touya stands there, surprised by your outburst, completely unaware that you were capable of all of that. He doesn’t say anything back, and you roll your eyes. “So fuck you, and, by the way, her angel port is smoking.”
At your words, he turns in a rush, seeing the smoke billowing from Blue’s chest as he climbs his way up her form. Once inside his machine, he extinguishes the port and allows himself to relax. There are two things on his mind in this moment: how you could have possibly known it was the angel port without being inside of Blue’s chest and how, for the first time in a long time, he feels bad for his handler.
But for you, it’s the first time you’ve ever held your own against a pilot before, and that feels good.
…
Something feels weird.
Off, unsettling, strange.
He realizes, much to his dismay, that it’s your absence. Despite only having you around for such a short time, Touya has realized that your lack of presence now feels wrong. He hates it. He hates you.
He can’t find you. You haven’t knocked on his door. You’re not in the caf, not the garage, not the sparring floor, not in your room. And he did check—without knocking.
He’s not even sure how he can feel an absence. You aren’t a regular part of his life, and he never wanted you to be. But he feels all fucked up.
During training, Touya jams Blue’s halo core and she leaks vibrant neon from between her ribs. It takes him half an hour to get her reboot her system and rips one of the cables attached to the back of his suit in the process. He spends the afternoon cleaning HERO fluid off the sparring floor.
During repairs, he shocks himself over and over while trying to fix her core, fingers burning from the sparks each time he arranges the wires inside. The cameras in her eyes won’t work from the reboot, and Blue won’t let him unlock the lens panel to fix it. It’s almost like she’s mad at him too.
He’s a complete mess. It’s your fault. He has no choice but to go looking for you. Again.
He searches every wing of the academy before concluding that you’re in your room. He barges through the joint door, spotting you at the counter in your tiny kitchen. You’re surprised by the intrusion, a frightened gasp falling from your lips as you jump in your seat. You turn toward him, prepared with angry words on your tongue, but Touya speaks first.
“You’re not getting an apology out of me, so don’t expect it.” He begins, moving to stand in front of your swiveling kitchen stool as he looks down at you. “But I’m willing to be civil with you, so we don’t have to do this shit anymore.”
You’re not exactly sure what “this shit” is, but Touya looks a little worse for wear at the moment, so you don’t question it. He places a tray from the caf down in front of you that you hadn’t noticed in his hands upon arrival, says nothing else, and turns to leave the room. After shutting your joint door, you look down at the tray of food, noticing one of his suckers placed onto a vacant compartment of the tray.
You’re greeted the next morning with a knock on your door, Touya dressed in his pilot’s suit on the other side as you swing the door open. “C’mon. You’re gonna watch me train today.”
You watch him turn around to leave, expecting you to follow. You rush to pull on your combat boots and grip your dog tags in your fist as you rush to catch up to him. He doesn’t spare you a glance as you fall into step beside him, taking a look around his dorm before he leads you through the exit door.
“You need to get a feel for my fighting style.” He explains as you walk down the corridor. “I’m not saying I’ll listen to you when it comes down to it, but it’s important for you to know.”
You nod, agreeing that you should definitely observe him inside of his HERO. By understanding his moves, you’ll be able to understand the way he thinks, and you’ll be able to help him in actual combat if needed. He’s already said he won’t listen to you, but it won’t stop you from trying. He stops abruptly, turning to look at you, and you stop with him.
“If we’re gonna do this, it’ll be on my terms. I’m not your dog.” He tells you, seriously. He eye’s you up and down, taking in your expression as you nod at his words. “If anything, you’re mine.”
He begins walking again, leaving you in your spot, irritation filling your chest as you watch him, smug. “Asshole.” You curse under your breath.
“What’d you say?” He barks, turning to look at you abruptly.
“You’re an asshole.” You speak louder. He walks back toward you, making sure to tower over you intimidatingly as he looks down at you in annoyance. His eyes flicker down to the tags around your neck before hooking a finger on the chain and pulling you closer.
“Watch it.” He drops the chain and walks away again.
You follow him to the sparring floor, and he shows you where to go to watch. Stood behind a large window that looks over the sparring area, other members of the base watch the HERO’s engage in combat below. You spot Tenko and he motions for you to stand beside him.
“I knew he’d warm up to you.” He comments. The last of the previous battle finishes and you watch the two enormous machines retreat to the sides of the area, their pilots emerging from their chests with their handlers rushing to the bottom of the mech’s in support.
“He hasn’t. He’s not.” You shake your head. You aren’t sure why you deny it, if it’s some way to keep your expectations low or if there’s some kind of embarrassment aspect to the whole thing. Whatever is happening between you and Touya feels intimate and private, something that the two of you need to figure out for yourselves, not something meant for the eyes of others.
“Hm. Okay.” Tenko shrugs. “Guess not.”
You hadn’t noticed Touya enter his mech at all. You see the swing of one giant mechanic arm, too close to the window you stand behind, and you’ve shifted your full attention to the scene at hand.
The enormity of the room surprises you, despite the fact that you had seen it just moments before. But when you’re truly looking at it, watching these huge machines go at each other, the way the ground shakes, the leaves outside shake, the deep forrest clear in view from the wall that opens out to the greenery (the lack of a wall is likely from the academy’s abandoned state, but it’s a good feature to have on the sparring floor when giant robots are toppled over onto various surfaces).
The way Blue moves is electric, mechanic movements almost feel fluid with the way that Touya pilots her, easily dodging attacks from their opponent and moving around them in the most graceful way a giant machine can. It’s beautiful, unlike any fighting style you’ve ever seen in a HERO before.
“He’s showing off for you.” Tenko observes from beside you. You don’t argue with him, only because you can’t dispute it. This is your first time seeing him in action. It makes your heart beat out of your chest. There’s this ache like you should be inside with him, cables connected to both of you, tucked neatly inside of Blue together.
It doesn’t take him long to get his opponent on their back, the heavy thump against the floor jostling the ant-like figures on the ground below, handlers waiting for their pilots to finish. It goes on like this for a while, his training, using different methods of combat and winning each time. He’s amazing, and you can tell why his reputation is the way it is, second only to Tenko, who you have yet to see in action.
When he finishes his last session, you watch Blue walk to the edge of the room, and Touya emerges from her chest, jumping the long way down her body without any issue. You watch as he looks toward the window you’re behind. He waves at you, an acknowledgment of your presence, and you wave back, though you aren’t sure he can actually see you.
It’s the beginning of everything for the two of you. You think Tenko was right.
He lets you stay with him afterwards while he does maintenance on Blue. He helps you climb up the path to her chest, hauling you over the edge to sit inside with him. He turns around abruptly, holding a hand up before allowing you to walk any further.
“Do not touch anything.” He warns, completely serious, before letting his hand fall and allowing you further into the cockpit. You take in your surroundings, the guts of his machine, analyzing the different control panels and screens that line the interior. You can tell he takes good care of her, and he spends a lot of time in here. It looks lived in, stickers stuck to metal plating and pieces of him all over. He’s made a second home in between the ribs of his mech. You feel a little jealous, though you aren’t sure of what.
The two of you sit against the left side of Blue’s interior, waiting for her updates to finish, the loading screen on each of her monitors display a fire graphic that grows with the increasing percentage on screen. Between you and Touya sits an opened bag of sour gummies, which Touya picks out the lemon flavor and drops the candy in your palm with each new handful he gathers.
“How do you know all this stuff?” He questions around a mouthful of sour cherry, “Like, the real names for things, where stuff goes, how to fix them. That day with the wires…”
“I spent a lot of time around mechanics at UA, and then also at the PLF.” You explain, picking the yellow colored candy from his open palm as you speak. “I couldn’t connect with other handlers. I didn’t like how they thought, or how they viewed the pilot/handler relationship. Mechanics were mostly neutral, and they loved these machines like nothing else. They reminded me of why I joined UA in the first place.”
“Hm.” He nods, thinking about your past. “Well, I guess if you spent so much time around actual professionals…I could maybe use your help sometimes in the garage.”
“Really?” You question excitedly, a spark lighting up your eyes as you swerve your head toward him. He feels something tight in his chest at the sight.
“Yes, but only on the outside. I don’t want you messing with her insides, yet.” He establishes. “And never alone. I have to be there at all times.”
“Of course, yes, oh my god. Touya!” You smile, gripping his shoulder firmly, a gesture of thanks, communication of how much his trust means to you. “I’ll be so careful with her, I promise.”
“Yeah, well, you have no other choice.” He shrugs, throwing another pile of candy in his mouth. “I’ll kill you if anything happens to her.”
You take the threat seriously, but his heart isn’t in it. He’s realized that you’ve wormed your way into his life and he hadn’t even noticed just how entangled you were now.
As the weeks go by, you spend a lot more time together. You work on blue together, and you rest inside of her chest, sometimes allowing yourself to drift off against his shoulder on especially tiring days. He sits beside you in the caf, and while he doesn’t always say much, the feeling of his arm against yours is comforting. You can tell people are starting to notice, and they’re starting to talk. You’re being dubbed someone who’s tamed him, but you know how far from the truth that is.
Despite your differences and the petty arguments that come up when Touya feels like you’re intruding on his independence, you’re growing attached. You wonder if he is, too.
…
Spending time together in the garage becomes the new normal for the two of you. Being in each other’s dorms feels far too intimate, so you always meet in the garage. This way, one of you is always busy doing something with your hands. There’s no room for any strange feelings in the pit of your stomach to seep in.
You sit in the crook of Blue’s neck, watching Touya as he repairs the lenses in her “eyes.” Blue has three pairs of eyes; in her head, her chest, and down near her hips, which all footage is projected onto monitors inside the cockpit so that Touya has a full view of what’s in front of him.
He’s so peaceful while he works, you’ve noticed, almost like he goes somewhere else completely. It’s a part of him you don’t think many people get to see, a piece of him just for you, and you want to be selfish with it.
“Can I ask you something?” You question, leaning your head back against the metal. “But you can’t get mad.”
He looks up at you, still fiddling with a lens, a mocking look on his face. “I’m not making any promises.”
You take a deep breath, preparing yourself for the possible fallout of the question you’re about to ask, “What do you think about the soul link?”
“No.” He shakes his head. “I’d never do it.”
You nod your head in understanding, “yeah, I get it. It’s weird, right? The idea that someone else would be inside your brain.”
“It’s fucking invasive.” He says.
“You know, at UA it always felt like a threat, you know. Like, it was a way for a handler to control their pilot, not a tool or a bond like it should be.” You begin, thinking back to how you viewed the soul link back then. You didn’t like how the bond was presented as this power that a handler holds over their pilot, a threat to keep their pilot in line. But, you could understand how the link could be used for good. “But since coming here, I can tell it’s not all bad. People trust each other here. I mean, there’s obviously some people who abuse it, but, for the most part, everyone seems to understand what it really means to be a pilot and a handler.”
You’re mostly just thinking out loud, but Touya doesn’t say anything to your ramblings. He continues to work on the lenses, and you can gather that he doesn’t want to talk about the subject anymore. But you can’t let it go, yet. There’s something you’ve been worried about since you met him.
“And what about…your brain? They say when a handler and a pilot don’t complete the soul link, the pilot will eventually fry their brain.” You can’t help it. You think about it all the time, what will happen when he can’t take it anymore. The closer you get to him, the realer it feels. “Are you ever worried about that?”
He looks at you, an expression you can’t quite make out fall across his face as he stares. It’s almost soft, the way he looks at you in this moment. “You don’t have to worry about me.”
The truth is, this is a reality Touya has accepted. He’s not afraid to die, and he never has been. He’ll probably die inside of Blue, and he has no problem with that fact. He doesn’t need to be around for long, just enough to show his dad what he’s capable of.
“C’mon.” You stare. “That’s not fair.”
“Shit. I left some of the screws for this in my dorm.” He curses. He looks where you lounge, tucked into Blue’s shoulder. “Keep an eye on her, okay?”
You watch him jump down, much higher than his usual height at her chest, but he lands anyway. He doesn’t turn to look back at you as he jogs away. You climb up the side of Blue, and look at the lenses in her head. They’re already repaired, and you know Touya used the excuse of missing screw just so he wouldn’t have to talk about the soul link.
But it’s the first time he’s ever left you alone with Blue before.
…
As the mission draws closer, Touya throws himself into training. You’re on the training floor with him most days, standing behind that big glass panel as you watch him spar with his peers. He still doesn’t let you down on the floor with him until he’s full out of Blue and close enough to the edge of the sparring floor to get to you. You’re not allowed in the actual training area, and even though he says he doesn’t want you clinging to him, it’s really because he wants to keep you safe. Seeing your human body near the giant machines that are HERO’s makes him want to grab you and keep you inside of Blue’s chest forever.
You can tell all the training is taking a toll on him. With an excess of headaches and the occasional nosebleed, you continuously get into arguments about him cutting back on training inside of Blue. There are other ways for him to prepare that don’t involve his fragile brain being hooked up to an entity that takes so much. He doesn’t listen.
Later and later into the night, as your fellow pilots and handlers disperse and return to their rooms to sleep, Touya stays inside of Blue, testing her movements and sparring against test dummies and obstacles. Once you and Touya are the only two left on the sparring floor, you speak into the intercom attached to your head.
“Touya, I think you should take a break.” You tell him, “It’s late. Get some rest and then we can pick it back up in the morning.”
There’s a pause, then, “I’m gonna stay for another hour. Get some sleep. I’ll be done soon.”
“No, Touya. You’ve been at it for hours. You barely took a break for dinner. C’mon.”
“You know, you sound awfully like a handler trying to tell their pilot what to do.” He teases, but you can hear the irritation in his voice.
“You are insufferable. I’m worried about you.” You groan.
“I’m fine. Go sleep.” He insists.
“If I find out you aren’t out of here in an hour—” Your line is promptly cut off, leaving behind static in your ear. You sigh and throw your com to the side. You hope he’s telling the truth.
With one last look at Blue, you make your way out of the training floor and find your way back to your dorm.
Touya doesn’t answer the door when you knock the next morning. With a frustrated groan, you leave your dorm and head to the training floor, assuming he woke up early to get some extra hours in. The closer you get the the floor, you notice other members of the base rushing in front of you. Feeling panicked, you pick up the pace, jogging toward the training room to make sure something isn’t wrong. You collide with a body in front of you, nearly falling to the floor as you steady yourself. Toga stands in front of you, her cheeks red and eyes glossy as she explains something your mind can’t catch up to understand. The only thing you recognize is his name, and you’re running toward the training floor in an instant.
You watch as Blue stomps around the area, her arms swinging in all directions, losing her footing as she moves. Knowing you can’t do anything on the floor, you make your way up to the overlook, finding Tenko yelling into your intercom.
“What’s going on? What’s happening?” You ask him, pulling the headset off of his head and placing it on yours instead.
“He’s out of fucking control. He won’t answer. I don’t even think he’s conscious in there.” He tells you, running a hand through his hair, pulling at the roots in anxiety. “You’re not linked yet, are you?”
You shake your head, closing your eyes in frustration as you try to think. You know it’s the only way. You have to take some of the burden off of him, make him share it with you. It’s the only way he’ll survive right now. “Do you think you can get into Decay right now and knock him down somehow?”
He hesitates, “I can get inside. I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to touch him at all.”
“You have to.” You plead, desperately. “I just need him down for ten seconds, tops. As long as I can get inside of her, I can save him.”
He looks at you like you’re insane, and maybe you are. But you know you can’t live with yourself if you don’t try something. Tenko nods.
“I can do it.” He tells you. You rush passed him, following the stairs down to the training area. You feel Tenk grab your wrist firmly. “You bring him back, okay?”
“I will.” You nod.
He dodges Blue’s movements, weaving between her legs as he finally makes it to Decay. It takes a few moments for him to connect, but he goes straight for Blue. You watch the giant machines fight one another, but it’s clear that Blue’s lack of control hinders much of her ability. She needs Touya just as much as he needs her. It’s tough for Decay to dodge her swinging arms, but Tenko manages to knock her down quickly.
The fall shakes the room, but you waste no time running for Blue. Climbing over the side of her, you manage to touch your thumb to the pad on the outside to open her chest up. She begins to stand up, and you slip down, grabbing onto a bar beneath her ribcage. You let out a frustrated groan as you try to pull yourself up over the edge of the cockpit. Finally making it over, you see Touya sitting there, still connected to his pilot’s chair, eyes glazed over and blood gushing from his nose. You push the button that closes the panel in Blue’s chest, and you’re suddenly alone with him.
Touya’s body is being jerked around by the movement of the mech, and you hang onto the walls of her chest in order to make your way to him. You situate yourself in his lap, taking his head in your hands as you look at him with tears in your eyes.
“You fucking asshole! I told you to take a break.” You sob, resting your head against his as you try and think of what to do next. “Touya, please. Please, baby, I need to you come back. Just fucking come back so I don’t have to do this without your permission, please.”
With no response from him, you wipe your tears, coming to terms with the fact that you have to complete the soul link now, or he’ll die. “I’m sorry. I’m so fucking sorry, Touya. Please forgive me.”
The soul link isn’t exactly an action so much as it is a feeling, an experience. There’s no trigger for it, no way to make it happen. It just begins.
It’s Touya, aged thirteen, wild, chubby-cheeked and happy, in the pilot’s seat of his father’s HERO. It’s his drive, his determination, his anger, his hurt. It’s the day he snuck into battle, the day he couldn’t get out, flesh burning and fusing to the metal walls of his mech, the feeling now deep in your skin. It’s you, aged fifteen, hopeful, alive, shaking hands with your first pilot. It’s your heart, much too big and much too open for your line of work, it’s your passion, your fire, every piece of you that was broken down again and again until there was nothing left. It’s Touya and it’s you, and every single bit of your souls now tied together in one big knot.
There’s nothing but darkness. And then there’s screaming. And then you can hear everything. Every thought running through Touya’s brain right now echoes in your head as you slowly come back to yourself. He can hear the same of yours.
It’s overwhelming at first, to have two sets of thoughts in your head at the same time, but you manage to focus. You can feel an anger inside of you like you’ve never felt. It’s almost like it’s your own. You need to come back. You’ve lost control of Blue.
In an instant, you feel yourself come back to your body, now straddling Touya like before, you feel his arms shoot around you and he tucks his chin over your shoulder to pilot Blue like he’s used to doing. He pays no mind as he presses up against you, but you feel your heart rate increase at the closeness.
He’s so close.
I have to be. You’re in my lap.
Shit. I didn’t think—
Clearly.
I can’t fucking believe you. I told you we weren’t going to do this.
You were dying!
Then you fucking let me!
You’re jostled around in his lap for a moment as he stops Blue from destroying any more of the training floor, and Touya wraps an arm around your waist, holding you steady.
He gains control of her quickly, moving her toward the edge of the room. You tuck your face into his neck, not wanting to distract him and keeping your thoughts at bay so you don’t overwhelm him. He powers Blue down, severing the neural connection between the two of you, and shoves you from his lap and into the pilot’s chair like you’ve burned him. He storms out of the cockpit, climbing out of his machine and leaving you inside. You think about the argument you had within each other’s head, how Touya would have rather died than be linked to you like he is now.
You slump against the seat, comforted by the metal cage you’ve been left inside of.

CHAPTER ONE ━ INTRODUCTIONS
2,036 WORDS
⤷ ❝ 𝕾𝖔 𝖙𝖊𝖑𝖑
me, Shoto,"
Your mother smiled softly as she began asking the young man various questions.
You glanced over at your mother and father then sighed. You hated being here, you'd rather be at home than some formal family introduction.
Your subconscious began to tune out the unnecessary chatter around you. It wasn't as if you cared if this meeting were to go good or bad.
My parents are always trying to tell me what to do. What the hell do they not understand about me being an adult? You tried to mask your anger with a fake smile, but it was hard to keep up the front.
Your parents M/n and F/n L/n sat on your side, kindly making conversation with the richest, most intimidating family in all of Japan: the Todoroki's.
They specifically sat who we came here for, the youngest son of theirs, Shoto Todoroki, across from you. Great.
If you were to describe him, Shoto, by appearance, you would say "split in half." It was as if his right side was his mother and the left was his father.
Another thing about Shoto was that you couldn't help but notice how stoic his personality was. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but you've never met anyone so void of emotion like him.
When his cold, heterochromic, eyes made contact with yours you couldn't tell what emotion he was feeling then.
Is this guy seriously going to be my... my future husband? You pressed your lips together as you broke eye contact with Shoto.
Despite everything that you have mentioned so far, you found Shoto a very attractive young man; Although you wouldn't admit to that directly in his face.
Moving onto his family; There was his father, Enji Todoroki, also know as Endeavor, Japan's number one hero. It felt like every time he gave you a glance he was judging you. It made you even more nervous than before.
His mother, Rei Todoroki, was a kind, soft spoken woman. The complete opposite of Shoto's father.
The Todoroki's are... You glanced at Shoto then looked back down, something...
But you felt like you didn't have any room to judge here. Not all families are perfect, especially ones that are popular among the media, but seriously, there was something off-
"-Y/n would have to transfer to UA this coming school year?" Your father asked, catching your full attention.
Your lips parted in shock, What the hell were they talking about!? You looked over at your mother whom sat closest to you.
I only tuned them out for a few minutes!
No one noticed your change of demeanor, no one except Shoto.
Actually, ever since your family entered the room he has been stealing glances from your figure.
In contrast of what you thought about him, he found every aspect of you perfect.
Leaning in close to your mother, you whisper, "What do you mean, 'transfer to UA...?'" You cut your eyes at her with a frown. You didn't understand why they didn't tell you long before this!
"Oh, Y/n, sweetie, it must've slipped your mind, haha! We've been talking about this for months!" Your mother forced a fake smile onto her face as she pushed the lie through her lips.
'Sweetie?' She never calls me that. What the hell is she on about...?
You and your mother exchange glances with one another before you respond to her lie with yet another, "Oh... oh yeah, we have."
Your father then butted in, "We're going to have Y/n's dormitory set up tomorrow."
Tomorrow!? You almost shouted.
"Y/n is almost done packing up her things, actually."
You nodded, These bitches can't go two minutes without lying...
The parents in the room proceeded to converse amongst themselves once again, leaving you and Shoto to stare at each other in awkward silence once more.
Shoto noticed your nervous fidgeting, wanting to say something but he just couldn’t get his mouth to open.
After about 20 minutes of talking, your and his mother and father decided to leave the room so you both could get to know each other better.
You visibly frowned when your mother left your side, Their off to go fucking yap again... you thought angrily.
You peered up at Shoto, trying to tell by his body language how he felt at the moment. But to your avail he was harder to read than you thought.
All he did was sit across from you with a blank expression on his face. Was he thinking of something to say to start a conversation?
Trying to catch his gaze, you fiddled with your fingertips nervously.
"Uhm, Todoroki—“
"-Call me Shoto," He stopped your sentence, "since you will be my fiancé in the near future."
You stiffened at the word "fiancé."
You hated how you barely even knew this man but you and he are going to be sharing the title of fiancé.
It was like a spell your parents have placed upon you, cursing you both of being with each other until one of you die.
You began thinking of something to start a conversation with him, but what could you possibly talk about? He has no social media nor obvious interests.
Is his whole personality just being Mr. Perfect-
"-Would you like for me to address you as your first name as well?" Shoto suddenly asked, taking you by surprise.
You weren't expecting him to be the one to talk first, "Uh, Sure."
You reach to shake his hand, he glanced from your face down you your hand reaching across the table.
He reached out and grabbed onto yours firmly before you both simultaneously pulled away.
You failed to notice how he looked at his hand as if he was amazed or something. When you looked up at him again he had the same expressionless face as before.
His dead silence was very unsettling for you. The way his heterochromic eyes never ceased to staring at the table.
Was he... nervous?
What else would explain his quiet and reserved demeanor. Then again, he was harder to read than a foreign language.
Maybe he's just an introvert and hates being in social situations... you thought to yourself, honestly, I can relate.
As you were strategizing how you would start up a conversation with the seemingly dry male, he just couldn't keep his eyes off of you. He just found you very... interesting.
He couldn't explain it.
"Y/n," He spoke again, and you jumped slightly in surprise. "Ye- Yes, Shoto?"
He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone.
Holding in our to you, he then proceeded to speak, "Could we exchange phone numbers?"
"I am aware that our parents are in contact with one another, but they haven't given me your contact information yet."
You thought about it for a second before handing him your unlocked cell phone, "Yeah, of course."
After a few moments you both swapped back phones and sat in that damn silence again.
Did he run out of questions or something? You cut your eyes at him, well I shouldn't be talking. I haven't said shit until he spoke first.
It wasn't long until both the Todoroki's and L/n's entered the silent room again.
"Well it was very nice having you all, Mr. and Mrs. L/n," Mrs. Todoroki gave a small smile as she shook your parents' hand's.
You and Todoroki stood up from your seats and said your goodbyes until you and your parents were in the car.
"Finally that shit's over with," your mother sighed as she slammed the passenger seat door. Your father turned up the cold AC in the hot car as he said, "But at least we've gotten one step closer to our goal."
He glanced up at the rearview mirror, making eye contact with you, "We just need that Shoto boy to marry our Y/n."
You diverted your gaze from your father's to the window. The Todoroki family's home growing farther and farther away in the distance.
The Todoroki's were pretty decent people... you shot dagger into the back of your parents' heads, They're the problem.
"I knew they'd love Y/n!" Your mother chimed as she pulled out a cigarette, "Her quirk is somewhat similar to that brain-dead son of their's. And transferring her to UA will be a breeze with their help."
"Then once they're married, all that money will be ours!" Your father stopped at a red light and looked back at you, "Isn't that right, Y/n?"
You nodded silently, not caring for their stupid rambling.
You had absolutely no say in any of the events building up to today despite being a grown woman.
Your parents are money-hungry sharks willing to do anything to get some change.
When you were still in elementary school, you overheard your parents plotting to sell your older brother before he ran away.
And allegedly got himself murdered.
But you refuse to believe that it wasn't your parents doing. Despite lacking solid proof or evidence.
With that in mind, you still have no idea how your parents got in contact with the Todoroki's.
You also don't know why they still believe you give a fuck about them.
You only still live with them because they refuse to let you out of their sight in fear of you running away like your deceased brother.
They're going to have a rude awakening when they find out that UA has a dorm-only policy, You smirked to yourself as you scrolled through the UA University website.
You silently looked through the website until suddenly receiving a text from an unknown number.
unknown
Hi
It's Shoto
At the last text it finally clicked, you both exchanged numbers.
>> contact name changed to "Shotodoroki" <<
you
Hi
Did you need anything ?
shotodoroki
no, I was just making sure this was the right number
You frowned.
That was a waste of time.
「 EARLIER ᡣ𐭩 」
After your family had left the Todoroki family home, Shoto grabbed his things and began walking out of the house.
"Where are you going, Shoto?" His father asked sternly.
Shoto didn't even give Enji a passing glance as he spoke, "I came here to meet the L/n's. I did as you asked and now I'm going home."
Shoto put his shoes back on and opened the front door. His father was about to shout at his son before Rei quickly calmed him down.
Shoto shut the door behind himself without bothering to look back. He has never fully forgiven his father for what he's done, even after all of these years.
Shoto only agreed into going to his home again because he heard that his mother would be present.
He couldn't stand being alone in room with his father.
Getting into his car and slamming the driver seat door shut, Shoto drove back to college.
The only place he could truly call his "home."
He parked his car in the shade to block the hot rays of the summer sun. The campus seemed so dead when school was out for summer break, but it made no difference in his eyes.
He only had one on his mind at the moment.
Grabbing his phone out of his pocket, Shoto started texting an unregistered number in his phone.
>> contact name changed to "Y/n" <<
you
Hi
Immediately after sending the text he thought, Was that too vague?
you
Hi
It's Shoto
He waited no time for a response back. He desperately wanted to have a conversation with you.
Once reading your last text, he failed to think of a way to respond. So instead, he made up the excuse about verifying your number.
Knowing you'd believe it anyway.
Shoto got out of his car and shut the door behind himself.
It won't be too long until Y/n moves into her dorm here, He thought while locking his car door and walking away.
But that doesn't matter right now.
I know where she lives, anyway.

Finally wanted to come back on here and say that Shigaraki and Dabi are PERVERTS.
NSFW under the cut, don’t like don’t read and MDNI!!
Shigaraki is that type of pantie sniffer pervert, the kind that doesn’t care about what your occupation is, your weight, nothing. He will fantasize over you constantly, try and be near you all the time, and if you so happen to be part of the LoV get a lock on your door because you will probably come back to find missing underwear or clothes and have them pop back up a few days later with new stains on em.
Dabi is the type of pervert that stalks the living shit out of you. Social media? He’s got so many burner accounts and they’re only following you. A job? Any guy that gets a bit too close to you won’t show up the next day. He LOVES to put something in your drink occasionally to put you in a deep sleep and go in through your window to touch and hold you. If it’s been a bad day for him, you might even find a weird sticky substance on you that was lazily cleaned up the next morning, but you won’t know where it came from.
And you already know that both of them team up to pick up a chick from the bar. Shigaraki is very inexperienced and lets Dabi do most of the work to actually get you alone with them, but he will absolutely be present and working when Dabi does succeed.
“She’s so tight and cute.. wanna keep her?” Shigaraki would say with a panting tone as he rocks his hips back and forth with a rough and almost sloppy pace that had you drooling and shaking “yeah, we’re keeping her. Need to wreck this one a few more times.” Dabi would reply as he rutted up into your tight back door, his hands holding your hips to keep you steady on his lap while the two wreck your welcoming body.

FINALLY because I'm a firm believer of "I'll go along with it if you explain" and I am all for Enji bashing but not at the cost of the story and characterization. If anything the fics that are subtle and honest about his motives are super effective in invoking that hatred.
maybe im the only one but does anyone just...get annoyed by fics that try to write enji but its so far from anything canon that it grates? Like I'm all for bashing, but it's not so much bashing as much as writing him so out of character it starts to be a question if you'd read the manga...
#i also see it as a litus test for whether or not you can actually write a bad guy with depth#YES i know this is fanfic and you can write what you want but just something to vent about#bnha#boku no hero academia#todoroki enji#endeavour#endeavor#mha#my hero academia

I’m back again with dabihawks (mostly Dabi) art because my writers/artblock go-to is @satelliteblue‘s bachelorette au.
One would not think so for the premise, but the characterizations and plot are actually top notch and I’ve got it bookmarked and recommend. My top 5 fics ever and part one is completed with part two partially finished!
Love this fic and I’ve reread it a couple times and every time the foreshadowing and premise clocks me in the face like it’s the first time. The interactions are fluid and in character even with minor figures that only have minimal screen time in canon, and the plot is way more in depth and angsty behind the scenes than a reality tv show au should even be allowed to be. Not to mention that the characterization of all the todorokis is perfectly on point, giving an outlook for Rei, all the kids, and Enji and managing to make each one seem the most compelling in their pov.
It gets you to sympathize and agree with Enji and his guilt and remorse, only to blindside you with a switch to say, Dabi’s pov, where he calls Enji an egotistical maniac with a god complex on live tv without name dropping him, and yeah, that tracks with all the characteristics he lays out for the man and his track record.

Endeavor is not the only one to blame for ruining the family. Rei is equally to blame for ruining the family as well. She is a completely TERRIBLE and SHIT mother. Has done absolutely NOTHING for her kids. She neglected Dabi, Fuyumi and Natsuo. Willing to replace her own son by creating another kid. That fucked up. Had creepy disturbing thoughts against her own kids just coz they look like their father. Getting slapped is no fucking excuse to further neglect all of her kids by running away and abusing Shoto. As a mother she has no responsibility whatsoever. Rei is no victim. Rei is an abuser who got what she deserved. There's no point in complaining about Endeavor all the time but glorifying Rei. Both are equally bad parents. If you still don't realise that then please don't be a mom. #FuckRei #WorstMotherEver #KillRei
Okay, first of all how about you calm down? We don’t even know each others, but you come into my inbox asking for a not so civil discussion? Yooooo 😂😂😂
And you know what? Yes, Endeavor is entirely to blame actually because everything that happened is a consequence of his big ass man actions and yes, Rei wasn’t a good mother (Nobody said the contrary), but at least she tried unlike someone else who was way too self-absorbed to see anyone else aside from his egotistical self and his selfish goal.
“She neglected her kids”, Well of course she did! Every 2/3 business days she was busy popping out kids like a children machine and not being able to say anything back, otherwise her good-for-nothing and abusive “Husband” would beat her up and blame everything on her. Oh! What a coincidence! Just like how you did right now! Crazy, right? 😃
But what some of you peoples in this fandom fail miserably to grasp, because blinded way too much by whatever you see in Endeavor (or just because you guys like to Victim Blame), is that when the Himura’s sold her to Enji, Rei was prolly underage. Why underage? Easy. Enji is 45 when he’s introduced, while Touya is 24 right? 45-24= 21 and since ALL the married couples in Bnha have a 4 years gap (go check it on their Wikis mwah) and math isn’t an opinion: 21-4= 17 everyone! Wohoo. Right?
Rei was sold to the Todoroki’s when she was underage, but not only that… Enji has groomed her for years, then he started to spiral over greed, fame and power after he found out his child couldn’t achieve for him something that he can’t achieve on his own, because he’s a useless and self-centered beast.
Unlike him who is a whole ass adult when Touya is born, Rei is extremely young AND has become a mother for the very first time so without the guidance and the emotional support of someone who has already been a parent before her, I find it hard to for a woman to deal with both postpartum depression and rising a child alone the way she did at fucking 17 guys. And she has dealt with this over and over for four-freaking-times; Natsuo and Shoto’s ones were even worse because from the scenes alone (manga speaking) you can clearly tell Enji has forced himself on her for the last twos, furthermore Enji beats her up and from Fuyumi, Natsuo and Shoto’s reaction you can tell it wasn’t the first nor the last time since it has gone to the point where Rei was traumatized so bad that she started hallucinating of Enji’s gaze in her kids’ eyes made her have a mental breakdown. That’s how much he has abused her. All this because her husband was too focused on grooming first his wife and then his kids for the sake of a goal he didn’t have the balls to try reach by himself and projecting his insecurities on his family, because he isn’t enough of a man and pisses in his pants only at the mention of All Might’s name. I can’t take such a subject seriously, if I gotta be honest.
Mind you, this madness continued even after Touya’s death. It was during that arc, after she had dealt with four postpartum depression, depression, the pain of the knowledge that her husband has abused her mentally, physically and sexually and the death of her 13 years old son that everything went downhill for her; yet some of you guys act surprised when she had a mental breakdown? Rei had been in a constant state of brainstorming since Natsuo’s birth, if not even earlier, until she didn’t broke down completely after Touya’s passing. So yeah, maybe she wasn’t the best mother for the Todoroki siblings, but ever since she gave birth to Touya, Rei has been trying her best to be there for them and at the same time preserve her sanity. Because in a situation where she had to deal with four kids and a manchild, someone had to try and keep a semblance of balance in there even if she was one of Endeavor’s victims who’s mental health was being destroyed by a lot.
As I already said, some of you guys in this fandom lack a great amount of emotional intelligence and dare I say most of you lack depth too. I don’t expect you guys to be the most empathetic peoples in the world, really, I don’t, but this is a tad bit too much. Do you guys even try to look beyond your own noses anymore? Or has that gone out of fashion?
Also, what’s this new trend of Victim Blaming peoples who came out of an abusive environment? That’s so… Ambiguous…
Anyways! All this didn’t end for good until the whole of Japan found out his son is a Villain and he waited to beg for forgiveness (something he should’ve done sooner), only when everyone has been caught into the hurricane and almost got offed entirely as a family, which is (if you ask me, since you in my inbox) the most unattractive thing a man of his big ass age could ever do.
Everyone, stay away from peoples who lack accountability and self-awareness, because they’re going to play your mental health like a fidget spinner bubs 🫶🏻💜
Last but not least: if you want to talk this way to me and especially about such topics that bad, don’t do it on Anonymous because I will hardly take you seriously.
All this being said and cleared out of the way, hope you have a good evening 💜

changes in my mha drs
okay so first and foremost, my dr is very much NOT the canon. pretty much all of the little details are changed but i think it helps it from feeling like a "and bumblebee" type of dr :)
ALSOOO sorry if there are a bunch of typos 😭😭
so first! in my student drs, the classes are made of 24 students rather than 20.
i never liked the idea of taking someone out of 1a bc im just attached to them (looking at everyone but mineta) and so i opted to make the class bigger since i also wanted a few other canon characters to be in my class :)
added students, my minimight dr is the only dr where i scripted who specifically would fill those extra spots
with me, we only need 3 more students and i chose for Hitoshi Shinso, Inasa Yoarashi, and Himiko Toga, to fill those spots.
Shinso was able to make it into the hero course bc i scripted that he is Eraserheads nephew who is in his care and has already been trained by him (i luv shinso)
Togaaa! I scripted her in by changing the way her quirk affected her and the way she used it, she is a lot different than her canon self but im okay with that bc i just wanna see her be happy (i luv togachako) (their relationship isn't scripted but i have hope that it will occur on its own🙏🙏🙏) (i adore them)
the Inasa one can be explained by the next change
(basically he doesn't have bad interactions w endeavor and shoto)
so basically the only reason Inasa didn't go to UA is bc he thought endeavor and shoto were both like, pretentious and mean or something (i lowkey forgot bc it doesn't register to me that he isn't at UA in canon😭) and i scripted sooo much change for the todo family guys.
i luv the todorokis :(((
okay so first of all, OBVIOUS change, enji is not toxically obsessed with all might! they're actually friends!!!
their dynamic is inspired by mirio and midoriyas bc i think it's just so cute like the idea of enji just being so amazed and inspired by AM
enji tho is still reaching for #1 it's just not toxic and doesn't cause him to become abusive and neglectful...
rei and enji fall in love organically!
touyas quirk is not as self destructive! and he becomes a hero and goes by Dabi
since enji isn't toxic and abusive, natsuo, shoto, fuyumi, and touya, all get along well and over all they have a good (normal) family dynamic!
with AM and Enji being close, i grew up with them and they have become my family!!!!! like touya and natsuo are my big brothers, fuyumi my sister, and as for sho, he's genuinely my bestest friend ever
Moving on from people, i scripted that junior hero academies exist!
they range from hero prep school and just kids of heroes schools!
The hero prep schools are competitive to get into and generally, the classes are small and made of just the kids of elite heroes
whoops we're going back to people...
INTERNSHIPSSSSSSS
okay so first sorry tokoyami, im interning w hawks 🫶🫶🫶
shotos with touya!
bakugo is with MIRKO bc hello that is an iconic duo waiting to happen
as for school life,
we do a lot more of joint training with 1b!! (I adore them)
and we do media days like they do for athletes!!
that's all i wanna type for now bc my phone is genuinely lagging so much soooo
byeee, rae

Dare I ask what are your thoughts on Endeavor? And hell Dabi?both are the most controversial within the Todofam!
He's an author's pet who was coddled immensely by the narrative to the detriment of everyone around him. Dabi's dance was a wonderful moment! Dabi peeled back the truth of hero society and showed that the man they venerated and elevated to the highest station, their number 1 hero rank...was an abuser. That he was just as bad as the hundreds of people he reguarally throws in prison. Or worse, really. A guy who robs banks or steals cars at least doesn't pretend to be anything else. Endeavor put on the airs of a hero while being a monster behind closed doors. Here was a man who bought a woman, bred her for her quirk in an eugenics program, and also abused his family. It's just a shame nobody gave a shit. You'd think this sort of thing would be a massive bomb shell and scandal that would rock an already shaky society to its foundations, right? You'd think that the heroes would be shocked, appalled, and heavily divided about what to do with this information.
Anger, denial, tearful confrontations, a shouting match or two. Lines drawn between people who still support Endeavor and those who think he should be in prison, ASAP. You'd think his colleges and co-workers would be wondering how they never noticed the signs. UA especially. Shoto was a child in their care and he was abused.
Actually, no. All of the people who would normally be moral and ethical people mysteriously had absolutely nothing to say in regards to their number 1 hero being a monster. The civilians were upset with Endeavor not for what he did in the past, but how he failed as a hero. The discussion at the press conference was entirely utilitarian: What can Endeavor the hero do for us? And they accepted his words because he promised to use his power to protect them. That's all they cared about. Our supposed "heroes?" Crickets. I agree with keeping Enji around until the end of the war, by the way. I'm not saying they should have instantly thrown him out. But an angry confrontation where he's cornered by Naomasa and All Might who demand to know if what Dabi said was the truth, and then Enji admits it? Boy would these two have WORDS for Endeavor. If he wasn't an author's pet who gets shielded from real negative backlash. He also didn't really suffer any direct consequences for his actions. People might point to the fact that the war absolutely destroyed his body. Yes, that's what being a hero does. A hero gets hurt. Just look at Mirko, All Might and Bakugo. His injuries were primarily caused by All For One, who didn't care about Dabi beyond using him as a pawn. But guess what? All For One would have tried to kill Endeavor even if Touya had never been born. All For One will destroy anyone who gets in his way...and let me remind you, being the number 1 hero and fighting him counts as getting in his way! It's a similar thing with his fight against the High End Hood. Doctor Garaki would have created Hood, with or without Touya existing. Dabi sicced Hood on Endeavor, but Tomura would have done the same thing if Hood was under his command and he wanted to use him to kill heroes. So the guy getting scarred and mutilated, when that's just what happens when heroes fight top tier threats doesn't land. Social consequences would have been great! The guy built his reputation up for years so seeing his sidekicks tell him: "We respect Endeavor the hero but loath Enji Todoroki, the human. We're all quitting your agency after the war is over." Fantastic! He loses something he actually gives a shit about? Perfect! Instead, the story ends with him having his family (except Natsuo, who also had to talk about how cool Endeavor was as he walked out of his life) and his sidekicks and people also still talk about how he's one of the greatest heroes of all time, and kids in the present day want to be just like him! I'd want to be just like him too, if I was a domestic abuser. Being a wife beater in hero society is great. Just become a hero and cry a bit and everyone will give you a free pass. Including your victims. And I want to also go into how he had the most easy mode redemption ever. Only Natsuo was really against the guy. Shoto was cautious but willing to work with him, including working at his agency. Fuyumi always was on his side. His wife? He bought her a flower and she gaslit herself into thinking he still cared. He spent the entire final war arc running away from his son, and apparently learned absolutely nothing, because when confronted with Touya about to blow up... His big idea is to just fly them both into the sky so they can die together. Luckily for both of them, his victims showed up to save the day. Thank God for Shoto, who always comes in clutch to clean up this guy's mess. Bravo, Atonement Man. We Watched You fail miserably at every available opportunity. Best written character in the series, by the way, according to his fans.
I'd also like to talk about his completely unearned power ups. Is there any reason he's able to withstand blows from a high end nomu with super strength, including getting struck in the head, and then falling a distance further than SKYSCRAPERS and hit the ground... And then just get back up afterwards? You know, something similar happened to Midnight but she got murdered by randoms right after. How is it that he allegedly trained himself to his limit to the point where he felt he couldn't progress further...but then he's able to just learn how to fly by seeing Bakugo do it? This implies his quirk had hidden potential and more things it could do the whole time. He never reached his limit at all. So either the guy is an idiot who can only think of hitting harder and using more power, which isn't the case, looking at how he teaches. Or the author decided he needed an upgrade and didn't think of how this makes him look. Why does he go from a guy who Kamino Arc All For One would regard as an ant, to being capable of killing AFO, a man who nearly killed All Might, twice? The same All For One who could keep up with an All Might that is able to launch over 300 punches in the space of seconds, which is how he defeated the USJ Nomu? I guess Endeavor is fast as shit, huh?
Make no mistake, Endeavor killed All For One. The guy was as good as dead and injected himself with a drug in desperation to live a little while longer. Damn, All Might should have really taken Enji with him the first time he fought AFO, huh? Then they'd have totally kicked the guy's ass. Yoichi is probably face palming right about now that the quirk devil could have just been killed by a random dude who trained really hard and had a good quirk. And the everlasting love and glaze of his author, of course. As for Dabi? I slandered him already. https://www.tumblr.com/lacunammmm/777852677278384128/dabi-was-the-most-disastrous-thing-to-ever-happen

Platonic Yandere Naga Todoroki family
(This was a long time coming. This is completely disconnected from the Mythical Forest au btw)
Warning: Mentions of stalking, violence and Yandere behavior.
-These guys are extremely feared by villagers and tourists alike, Enji had gathered quite the reputation for being a massive asshole. A violent asshole to be exact.
-Rei and her children are far more merciful and generous, helping out lost people and giving them directions.
-Except Dabi, he’s just a smug bastard who will probably lead you into crocodile invested waters for shits and giggles.
-You were the child of infamous explorers, whom have decided to explore the Todorokis’ forests.
-It was Shoto who discovered you first, watching you from the trees once he got wind that there were humans around.
-He ended up saving your life because a jaguar attempted to attack you.
-You were a little freaked out by the fact that a creature like Shoto existed but you became chill around him.
-Shoto then decided to tell his family about you. Enji was going through his redemption process as no one was tolerating him anymore. (Dabi tried suffocating him-)
-So now you have a snek family stalking you.
-Rei is just instantly in love with you, you’re just so adorable to her.
-Fuyumi leaves you little things that kids your age might like. I.E little hand woven dolls, books she had picked up from abandoned structures.
-Shoto and Natsou keep you safe from threats. Hanging out in trees in the late night hours.
-Enji stays at the den, as his kids are like: My dude, thin fucking ice.
-Dabi occasionally hangs out with his brothers on night shift but other than that, he’s fucking with crew.
-Casually depositing venom into a crew member’s water, breaking someone’s ankle.
-You are currently quite content with everything, especially with the all the little gifts and occasional visits from your friend Shoto.
-Until they fully raid your camp. Enji and Dabi handle everything whilst the rest of the family get you.
-Understandably, you’re quite upset about your family possibly being murdered and being abducted by snake people.
-Rei and Fuyumi are utterly upset with your crying and screaming, Shoto feels especially bad.
-Once you get comfortable in the den, everyone is satisfied. They have obtained their hatchling!
-Rei is obsessed with you, doing your hair, snuggling you. You’re her baby! She especially loves it when you willingly snuggle with her.
-Fuyumi teaches you essential skills about surviving and how to function. She’s really gentle but can get a little bit overwhelming. She’s wary around the idea of you potentially flocking together with human kind.
-It took a while for you and Shoto to rebuild trust, he was genuinely sorry. He’s loving and gentle with you but a bit clingy. He can’t stand the idea of humans reclaiming you.
-Natsou is probably the most chill and level headed of the family. He’s patient and scolded everyone for being overwhelming. He handles your health stuff, making sure you don’t die. Natsou can’t stand you being around Enji, given how Enji is a violent asshole.
-Dabi is a strange guy, he lurks around the den, just eyeing you with an indescribable gaze. He scares You honestly, especially since he’s the most trigger happy of the clan. He’s gentle with you, snuggling you whenever he wants. He’s not afraid to make his disdain for Enji and Shoto clear, giving a nasty hiss towards them. Don’t run off when he’s around, just don’t.
-Enji is probably the most gentle with you, but wary. He knows that he’s on thin ice around his family and will probably get turned into a hashtag by his sons if he fucks up. He uses his tail as a weighted blanket for you tho.
