Englewood After Dark is a horror/drama podcast following the adventures of Finn Nightingale and Eve Pemberly as they uncover the many secrets lurking on the haunted campus of Englewood University.

The first episode of Season 1 will be released on October 8th 2024. New episodes will be released Tuesdays at 3pm (CT) every week.

nora penelope vitale was born in englewood, new jersey to your everyday ‘average’ italian ( they’re very proud of that part ) family ! when she’s not on campus, she still lives at home with her parents, grandparents, and little brother, and she doesn’t care if you judge her for it ! family means everything to her !

she’s the oldest of two – having a little brother named nate who means the absolute world to her ! legit, she would die for that boy !

nora actually grew up as quite the tomboy ! she has an undeniable love for skateboarding and video games, but don’t let that fool you, she’s also incredibly girly at times !

at the age of 9, nora started playing volleyball on a community rec team and she’s been obsessed ever since !

there’s not a year that’s gone by that nora hasn’t been playing volleyball.

she tried out for the university team her freshman year and became co-captain at the start of her junior year !

she’s a massive music junkie ! it’s her second favorite pastime ! there’s rarely a minute that goes by where she doesn’t have some kind of music playing - whether it’s out loud or through her air pods !

she’s actually got a very beautiful singing voice, though she didn’t believe people at first when they would tell her that !

when she was sixteen, she and two of her best friends got together and filmed a cover video for one of their favorites songs and decided to take a risk and post it to her youtube channel ! sure, it was a long stretch to post on a personal channel, but she was willing to experiment and see what people thought about it !

much to her surprise, the cover ended up going viral, and after a number of people suggesting they do it regularly, the trio decided to form an official band, naming themselves ‘chasing ghosts’ !

instead of posting their covers to her personal channel, nora created a youtube channel strictly for their band, and they began to post a cover a week to their channel ! as of today, their band’s youtube channel has just over 1m subscribers !

chasing ghosts turned out to be quite the hit around new jersey and often did sold out local gigs in and around the state !

chasing ghosts even had the chance to be a part of the 2017 warped tour lineup, which is something that nora will never forget !

nora’s main focus in life is her education and volleyball, but she and her band still find themselves messing around in the music world when she’s on break from school back home in new jersey !

nora’s other passion ? food. after all, how can someone who’s family is always cooking not be obsessed with food, right ? her favorite ? pasta, of course !

nora’s not the best cook in the world, but her nonna is doing her best to teach her everything she knows, and she’s definitely getting better !

Hm hm hmmmmmm I always have like, a deep attachment to music as a person i grew up playing instruments, singing opera, doing theater so music and sound design always got me like 👀👀👀👀 so this is a tough one. Hmmmmmm

1: Weak by AJR.

It’s kinda a cliche song but it just, makes something go feral in monkey brain when I hear it and I just go OFF. Like the head banging the screaming the lyrics the whole nine yards I just lose myself in it. The bass always hits me like right where I need it and and I love that it’s one of those emotional encouraging songs but it’s not meant to seranade, it’s meant to be grungy and loud and for you to kinda scream your emotions out along with it and I just, vibe so hard it’s one of those songs I put on when I really need to be like “yeah I’m weak what about it????” And just really work through some shit.

2: Viva La Vida by Coldplay.

Another cliche one but for much of the same reasons as the first. It’s one of those songs that no matter how much time has gone by I always ALWAYS come back to it. It’s just such a comfort song for me and it’s always got me feeling melancholy after. I have a tendency to miss people/things I shouldn’t because of abandonment issues hit hard when it’s literally your entire life and shitty people feel better than being alone, at least that’s how it feels sometimes, but VLV is one of those songs that I put on when I’m feeling that kinda way that reminds me the past is the past and it’s not all awful but it’s okay to not want to go back and just, remember but not miss it.

3: Belong by Slenderbodies

Okay so I’m lame af but I still watch vanoss gaming if you know who that is and if not basically I never left my middle school music phase and this is one of his outros but it’s just so good?? I vibe so hard with this song and it’s one that I can put on to dance around to while I’m sweeping my apartment or I can listen to it while I’ve got my hammock up on campus and just relax. It’s just a really chill song that just increases my serotonin and makes me want to just cruse along on my longboard and just, enjoy the sun and feel myself in my skin. It’s just! A good! Song!

4: Crystal Dolphin by Englewood

I know it’s a remix of another song but I can’t remember which. But!! Either way take about an injection of serotonin this song just makes me feel so good for literally no reason. I just play it with my headphones on blast and just VIBE. Like I’m listening to all of these songs I’m listing as I go to really get a feel for reactions and it just makes me feel like I need to get up and walk around as I’m typing to just get moving and vibe. It makes me feel like just floating in the ocean and loving life I can’t explain it it’s just such a mood booster.

5: Forbidden Friendship by John Powell.

If anyone knows this song specifically I’ll be very surprised but it’s the song from how to train your dragon when hiccup and toothless are drawing eachother and having that moment together. HTTYD is hands down my favorite movie of all time and I will forever be, the music and scores in that film rock me to my core everytime I see it and listen to them they just. I can’t begin to explain how much that movie means to me and how much this song means to me. Even now I’m listening to it as I type this out and I can’t begin to explain how I’m feelings. I feel like, raw like I’m about to have a panic attack but I’m not because I’m just so overwhelmed by the music and the story and just the beauty of it all it just really makes my head spin and my hands shake and my heart race it’s just, so much all at once yknow? It’s like, I’m transcending and overwhelmed and like my skins to small it’s very strange to say. It’s not a bad feeling it’s just a lot of intensity.

And those are my top 5! There’s a lot of songs I really react to vehemently and one song that almost made it here was oogway acends from Kung fu panda, that’s the song I listen to when I need to cry and can’t for whatever reason lol.
