i used to freehand comics all the time as a child and since the part i liked was the drawing part i would just draw panel after panel because i didn't want to stop drawing to think about icky icky words, plus the story TOTALLY still made perfect sense! to me! and noone else, but 'whoooo caaaaares omgggg its not like comics and sequantial art are a communicative meeediummmm lmaoooooo'. i spent my entire childhood telling myself stuff like "oh pfft I know this story by heart- ill SIMPLY remember the dialogue and write it later" ...and. I can't help but admire baby maiora's (call that a minora ba tm tsk) fucking audacity? hubris? confident wrongness? kid couldn't even remember to finish the comics in the first place? INCREDIBLE levels of unearned self assurance, wish that were me, genuinely- what an icon!!! anyway i think i have forever cursed myself

good morning - man is anyone else feeling that burnout or is it just me? not muse wise, just brain-wise. i kind of peek at both of my blogs and it’s just very hard to be here right now - and it’s NOT because I don’t want to, it just makes me feel TIRED just peeking in here bc my brain power is so low. i’m hoping i’ll be able to write tomorrow :( i’ve just been feeling so very meh and gaming instead. i’ll try my hardest to be active as i know it’s a bummer when the whole fandom goes super quiet but i also recognize this is just a hobby of ours and that i shouldn’t force myself, so.

Hey friend :D So- I kinda do? I haven't watched the Pokemon anime in so long, so usually I tend to stick with the game versions as those are the most familiar to me in term of Pokemon. That said- Ash is kinda the exception? Usually with Diodeshipping. I haven't met Kukui's anime version, so if he's a tad off, I apologize! Still- I'm gonna give this one my all! :D I hope you like it!

“Hey, Professor? Can I ask you something?” Oh man- here it comes. Kukui braced himself with a small sigh as he turned to the young trainer. 

When it was revealed to all he was the Masked Royal, everyone took it surprisingly well. Ash even told him he was looking forward to their battle even more since that revelation.

Alas, even the smallest of truths will lead to questions. Questions Kukui was dreading since that day. Putting on a brave face, he nodded. “Sure, what’s up?”

“About being the Masked Royal..” Kukui felt his inside steel. He could take anything! ���How come you didn’t make a full costume and just used a mask?”

…Huh?

“I mean- you looked really cool, don’t get me wrong!” Ash hurried at Kukui’s blank expression. “But don’t you think you’d look cooler if you wore a full suit? You could have really matched Incineroar, you know?”

“I guess…I hadn’t thought about it.” Kukui laughed, relief melting away the steel. “Besides, it’s best to just have a mask. It saves time getting ready.”

“Hm. Yeah, I can see that.” Ash nodded. “You’re always running late- you need the extra time.”

“Exact-HUH?” Kukui gaped, earning a string of giggles from the younger trainer as he got up to run. “Oh, that’s it! Come back here!” He reached out, grabbing Ash around the waist and pulling him into his lap. “Let me show you what the Masked Royal does to sassy little runts like you!”

“Ah! Ahehahahhaahaha! Prohoohfehehehhsor!” Ash squealed, kicking his legs and twisting about in his arms. Kukui was unyielding, dancing his fingers up and down Ash’s sides with a cheeky grin. “Stahhahahap, it tihihiihiihckles!”

“Does it now? Oh no- whatever will you do?” Kukui teased, switching tactics as he scribbled into Ash’s belly. “Looks like somebody better apologize!”

“AHEHEHA! IIHIHIHM SHOOOHOHORRY! PLLEHAHAHAHSE” The boy cried, cheeks pink and smile big as he laughed. “PROHOHOFEHEHESOR I’M SHAHAHARRY!”

“Heh, that’s what I thought.” Kukui laughed, releasing Ash with a ruffle to his hair. “That’ll teach you to respect your elders.”

“Is that why you’re always late? Cause you’re an elder?” Ash blinked, then grinned as he took off running, Kukui hot on his heels with laughter following them like a cape.

Is it normal when a random character is suddently stuck in your brain so deeply that it starts to grow so much it becomes a whole different character that you wanna make the center of everything? I'm talking about writing 20 pages of complex lore, 10+ chapters of longfic, a whole pletora of new ocs and draw a whole comic book about it... like serious stuff
