Now that would effect change. * It’s time for change 🙌🏻 it’s time for #understanding #awareness the end of #neglect & for governments to allocate adequate funding for this life destroying disease known as ‘the living death’ #facts #meawarenessmonth #meawareness #millionsmissing #missingbutnolongersilent #endcfs #mecfs #meadvocacy #maymomentum #openmed #actionforme #endtheneglect #cfsme #thetruthoflifewithME #canyouseeMEnow

Eddie Izzard: So it is marathon thirty today.
Sarah Johnson: Yes.
Eddie Izzard: Thirty, yep. Thirty today. Running Kigali, capital of Rwanda, so Kigali in Rwanda we celebrate. It is International Neglected Tropical Diseases Day. Now, NTDs, neglected tropical diseases, what is that? Well, some tropical diseases you know of and malaria is one that jumps right out and things like that. But then there’s ones that are neglected and you don’t even know it. Names that I haven’t heard of, but it includes leprosy and elephantitis that I would have thought would have just not be part of the world anymore, but they are. So about over one point five billion people suffer from those diseases and obviously they are very impoverished people. So, that’s what we’re highlighting today, that’s what we’re running today. It’s the thirtieth day. Tomorrow is the thirty-first and I’m doing two marathons. A double marathon, back-to-back. And a gig in between it, yeah. So, uuuurrrr. And then rest on the Monday so that will be good. So it’ll be Aden in Yemen. Aden, the city where I was born, and the country of Yemen that has not only COVID but a civil war. From 9 am on Sunday I’ll be running and the second marathon will be New York for America and that starts in the afternoon and we’ll go until about midnight. And a gig in the middle of that New York marathon. How crazy is that? Trying to get it all done. And thank you for donating at EddieIzzard.com. You guys are doing brilliantly, everyone around the world, yes. Make humanity great again. The hats and the masks are available at EddieIzzard.com. All profits to the charities, as are tickets for the final show, tonight’s show and the final show at 7 pm London time. The livestreaming shoe should be interesting. Yeah, get a ticket for that. Alrighty, bye.
