Three endrinriggers have joined the company!
These guys were a blast to paint. I will probably buy another few units soon enough. They really fit the aesthetic that drew me to overlords.

Stormcast Eternals: As put before Action Role-Playing game, to launch the whole connected games. You start off in a tutorial being brought down with Lightning within a Duardin Stronghold in Chamon. Once that happens you try out basic combat as a Liberator, fighting against Gloomspite Gitz of the Moonclan these being pushed out into a new Lurklair used for other games. Once the tutorial is done you begin truly. A time skip of years has happened with the Duardin Stronghold having become a busy City of Sigmar. A camera showing some of the City in a flying shot coming to a Stormkeep being used by the Stormhost you are part of. A continuous flyby shot brings us to the Stormcast from earlier taking their helmet off beginning character creation. You play as Sam Duskdriver, though will be called Samuel if you choose male, and Samantha if female is chosen. (Should note your gender chosen doesn't change how you design your body). (Any time I bring up the player I'm just putting Sam). Sam is a human who has been on the recommendation of your Lord-Commander to become the leader for a new Hunters of Sigmar group, after the success of the Blacktalons. Your first major part of the story is finding those who will be joining you, you being a hunter finding them is an even better showing your skills. With the mention of skills how combat works is what gear you pick letting the player decide which Chamber they want to advance in. There are 7 companions that will join Sam, with being 3 mandatory these being the Stormcast you are sent out to find. Knight-Arcanum Knight-Relictor Vanguard-Raptor There are 4 Mercenary Companions who can be recruited if found, though each task they are sent on increases the amount, with each wanting a different thing. Grimwrath Berzerker wanting Gold Endrinrigger wanting Aether-Gold Isharann Soulrender wanting Gravecoins Scinari Loreseeker wanting tomes The currency for the rest of the game is Aqua Ghyranis. All of the companions can become a romantic partner. Though some will be locked based on Gender. However depending on how well you do in the game can lower your RPG interactions. The more one player dies the greater chance of dialogue being removed. Sam can go from a hopeful hero to follow about to be with their love, to a stern emotionless wreck who could maybe say hello. Now to really make it so people can't just quick save before a fight that just isn't allowed. I know some games don't allow you to save when enemies are around. It is like that but you can't save unless in a Grand Alliance Order settlement. This doesn't just mean the City there will be other places. Though when you die out there you do get Reforged and our brought back to the Stormkeep. I think that covers all the general information. Any Thoughts and/or Feedback?
Age of Sigmar Videogame Verse
So Age of Sigmar's video games haven't been the most up there, which is a shame with a couple being quite good. I feel the biggest problem is there's nothing really there to click with someone unless they are a fan of Age of Sigmar or at the very least fans of other Warhammer games. The games more or less even the ones I like come off as an Age of Sigmar skin over another game with the ones to stand out added things to separate it from ones of similar play, &/or really captured the feel & lore of the Mortal Realms. To fix this I think a connected video game universe within the Age of Sigmar setting. Using the Grand Alliances & Factions within them but making new Subfactions/Groupings for them that are the stars in each of the games. The Hammers of Sigmar might be their usual go to for stories but this also doesn't let much in the way of evolving. To look to other Warhammer games the 2 biggest in the universe of Warhammer 40,000 the Dawn of War series & Space Marines 2. Dawn of War making the stars an original Chapter gave them the freedom to expand in their direction. While with Space Marines 2 adding the likes of Captain Acheran and Chapter Master Calgar really added to Titus's return too the Ultramarines. Age of Sigmar is still trying to build up its main characters for their factions & subfactions and while some are good to go I think it still needs more time, so originality is the best bet. Now I will go more in details with the games for this shared verse but to give a rough idea what I could think of so far at least. The games would star in Chamon, Shyish, and Ghur. As the games go on Expansions & DLC open up the other Realms Stormcast Eternals: Action Role-Playing game, to launch this with you starting a tutorial of taking a Realm Gate within a Duardin Stronghold in Chamon once taken a time skip happens beginning the game & the Verse. You will play a character in a role similar as the Blacktalons. Big thing will be giving the feel of Reforging. Metal, Sky, and Profits: An Action-Adventure Shooter, A Kharadron Overlords game that would be a mix of Sea of Thieves and Deep Rock Galactic. Realm Wars: MMO-RPG, Grand Alliance Death vs Grand Alliance Destruction as the playable races. Dawnbringer Crusades: A game about the feel of how a Dawnbringer Crusade is done. It requires many players to make it happen. Again more details of each will be expanded on, but if anyone who sees this has an idea please share it.

A fairly quick and rough character design for a character I’m playing in an Soulbound (Age of Sigmar RPG) campaign, Jorik Forgunsson. Kharadron Endrinrigger from the skyport of Barak-Hazad (my homebrew), and is very typical of his skyport’s reputation - loves turning a profit, but has a bit of a moral centre to it.

Onto happier thoughts:
My Armada of Kharadrons is now complete! And good for me - due to some shipping complications I've received something extra! 😬 I'm now the proud owner of: 2 Ironclads 2 Grundstok Gunhauler 1 Frigate 3 Ark. Companies 2 Grundstok Thunderers 2 Lord-Magnates 2 Endrinriggers/Skywardens 2 Aether- Khemists 1 Aetheric Navigator 1 Endrinmaster Now I just need to find out what plays well together! 🤗 (And maybe trade one Ironclad for a Frigate and something else! 🤔)

A grapnel launcher on an endrinrigger squad sounds pretty useful. Up to 24″ movement towards an airship that needs repairin? YEP

This week saw my first “proper” game of Age of Sigmar. I say proper, it was a 2v2 3000pt-a-side rumble, and so there were lots of bits which were hand waved, and we only had time for two full turns. I thoroughly enjoyed myself however, it gave me a good grounding in the core rules, plus I actually saw how my Kharadron abilities worked on the table.
The forces were Order vs Chaos, with 1500pts Seraphon and 1500pts of my Kharadrons, vs 1500pts a piece of Khorne and Tzeentch.

The battle lines!
We were playing Scorched Earth battleplan, so there were 3 objectives a side. The intention for our forces was to stomp/fly across the board and grab their objectives, then burn them and run back across to our lines. If it had gone on to the full five turns however, we might not have had anything left!
Chaos got first turn, the Bloodthirster got a charge in, and decimated an entire unit of Saurus Warriors. Things looked a little stacked against us already!
I spy a greater daemon!
There used to be a Saurus Warrior unit here…
Then the whole game became one sweeping brawl, with the two battlelines clashing, and my fairly average shooting plinking off lots of Bloodreavers and the odd monster.

Bloodreavers got charged, and my Frigate jumped in to ‘help’

“Skywardens” plinking off some Bloodreavers
At the end of Turn 2, we’d made a positioning error and missed one objective point, so our opponents beat us 6-5. So many units had died that the Khorne Blood Tithe almost produced enough points to summon 2 Bloodthirsters. As it was, one came back, ready to charge into the Saurus Oldblood again. Plus, Karanak used his special ability and summoned another unit of Flesh Hounds to kill his Saurus prey.
There was some serious carnage, and we felt that turn 3 onwards would have seen us lose the entire left flank, my Admiral, and possibly the Seraphon Oldblood too, after being faced with another Bloodthirster. I discussed summoning with my team mate, and we’re not sure if it’s too powerful or not yet. While he does have Seraphon, he had been awaiting a Slaan, and needed some extra units so he’d actually be able to take part in Summonpalooza, so we’ll probably have a better idea either way in future battles.
The Saurus Oldblood takes on Bloody Boy!
Saurus Knights getting tar-pitted
The Soul Grinder happily ground up some Saurus Knights
The Endrinriggers wiffed a few rolls, so Admiral had to save the day!
I just like this model.
At this point, he’d taken out two sorcerers.
So much blood had been spilled, enough to summon Bob here.
I for one felt slightly left out in the cold, I can’t use the new fancy endless spells, I don’t have summoning, and points wise, things didn’t really change much in 2.0 updates for me. I still love the aesthetic of my Sky Duardin, and I think I might pick up some Fyreslayers as allies, maybe even Dispossessed and Ironweld Arsenal stuff, make a truly multi-Duardin army. I hesitate to stoop so low as to pick up a Knight-Incantor, which seems to be the easy win magic wise, but I also like the idea of running the Aetherstrike Force Warscroll Battalion. At the end of the day, I’d much rather play thematic, narrative style games than straight up competitive ones, but I can see the difficulties Kharadron players have if they want to be even remotely competitive.
Kharadrons Fly to Profit! This week saw my first "proper" game of Age of Sigmar. I say proper, it was a 2v2 3000pt-a-side rumble, and so there were lots of bits which were hand waved, and we only had time for two full turns.

Almost tempted to say I’m stocked. But I just can’t handle moderation. Still need an Ironclad and those Endrinriggers and such.. 🙄
