By the moment... The moment... The moment of what?
When did you decide to redesign moment of clarity?
two weeks ago, so way after we thought we were done with the pristine cut sometimes you just get seized by the moment

Nagash, supreme lord of Undead
Commission work
I'm happy to be able to show you a new painting, it feels like it's been a while since I finished anything.
I still have quite a few projects on the go but I'm never sure if any of them will be of interest to anyone.

Brigand I painted for my WE friend. First work that I've painted for another, so I was a little nervous and want to make it special. Probably the most effort I ever put into the armor plates of a knight.
The big rock is part of his basing scheme. He has them on all his knights, and is planning to have a firstborn head to head this particular armiger.
The modeling was entirely his doing. He kitbashed this from the IK armiger, a juggernaut, and some spare CK bits.

Angron WIP
Found an exalted of the red angel box at a LGS mid June and I couldn't believe it. Not going to start a WE army as my friend already collects but I couldn't miss a chance to put my hands on Angron. Still have a few more hours of work to do, but it is coming on

Bonereapers ftw. I will also add that, like all the legions of Nagash, they have a very interesting relationship with free will. As the perfect servants of Nagash, they were made without the ability to fall to chaos or betray Nagash in any manner (unlike that wretch Mannfred). The higher echelons can still make choices, though they don't have the emotions or ambition to even consider betrayal.
While I understand the reasons for it being due to both the setting being newer than Warhammer 40K and also the ill-will from The End Times...
...I feel like it's a minor tragedy that nobody outside of that scene talks about how Warhammer Age of Sigmar has an entire faction that collects bone taxes for the skeleton war.
Like, that's not even an exaggeration, that is literally what the Ossiarch Bonereapers do!

World Eaters vs The Eaters of Worlds:
The staredown
The staredown 2
Played a game of 1250 today. Had a grand time though I am still getting used to vangaurd invaders. All the movement shenanigans make my head spin. I lost this one, but it was close.

Fantastic work on the shoulder lining. That little bit of orange went a long way.
"They are coming. Kill them all." Imperial Fist Veteran Sergeant Aegrad Tyralorn, 4th Squad, 6th Company "The Siege Hammers", before repelling the eight consecutive attack of heretic forces on combat outpost Marduk Tertius.
***
After the annoyance that was the last painting project I decided to go back to the basics. By painting a marine using one of the more annoying colours to paint. Yeah, probably not the smartest decision to make. But my Founding Chapters bucket list was down to three chapters and like hell I'm going to paint Dark Angels.
Fun fact, I went through nearly 40 different youtube videos about how to paint them. Only to settle on the steps from the old digital marine painting guide. Also, very much carried by Iyanden Darksun foundation paint. Like carried a lot.
Otherwise it was a breeze, probably some of my best highlight work so far. Especially proud with the lines on the chapter symbol on the power fist. The base is one of the old hero bases that I got some time ago. To my great annoyance I have discovered there are no painted examples of that shows the front, or any other angle than the box shot, so that was just improvisation.

10 genestealers have joined the hive!
I am pleasantly surprised that this unit came in a box of 10. I thought they would go the route of flayed ones and makes this box barely a point a dollar. Instead, it is probably the best value infantry unit in Tyranids.
I love the lictor mouths and am surprised I haven't seen them more. When I was assembling, I was genuinely confused that I had an option other than the pearly whites.
