WAYS TO SAVE MONEY THAT YOU CAN USE RIGHT NOW
It's not a new strategy, but when marketers follow a few best practises, it works well.
The problem is that marketers often give site-wide discounts to all of their visitors, without thinking about where they are in the buyer's journey.
Yes, that might bring in more sales, but in the long run, it could hurt your bottom line.
The solution is to find a balance between when and how often to use them and which user groups to offer them to.
How to use discounts and when to do so
Not Every Person Can Get A Discount.
I can't tell you whether or not you should use them. I can show you how to use them, though.
There are a lot of different ways to use discounts to get more people to visit and buy from your online store.
But you need to know how to use them.
Your strategy for discounts should always depend on your business goals and the person who is coming to your site. Maybe you want to put old items on sale to get rid of them and not to make more money.
Let's look at how and when discounts can be used, as well as what other options there are.
Offer A Special Deal To Entice New Visitors.
When someone visits your site for the first time, they may not be ready to buy.
So it's not always the best idea to give them a discount code they can use right away.
Instead of asking new visitors to buy so early in the buying process, you should ask them for a smaller commitment, like their email address in exchange for a discount code.
Here's how that could play out:
Price Cut for New Visitors
It's important, when making a campaign for new visitors, to:
Target a certain type of visitor: Put a cookie in the browsers of new visitors to make sure you only offer this discount to new site visitors. By doing this, you can keep track of new visitors versus returning visitors and hide or show campaigns to each group.
Make the copy your own: Make sure the people you want to reach know that the offer is only for them. This makes the message and offer more relevant, which will increase the number of people who take action.
Tell people why they should take your discount: Give people a reason to take your discount if you want them to. In his book Influence, Robert Cialdini says, "People just like to know why they do what they do." The best part is that it works even though it's clear why it should. For example, it can be as simple as the example above, where new visitors get a discount. (Check out The Copy Machine Study.)
If you don't want to give discounts to new visitors, you can try to sell them on the value of your newsletter to get their email address.
Reward Customers Who Stick With You.
If you have a loyalty club, you can and should reward loyal consumers with discounts.
For example, when a customer spends a certain amount on your site, you can thank them by giving them a discount code they can use on their next order.
According to one report, 76% of customers want personalised offers based on what they have bought in the past.
So, a great way to personalise offers for your members is to give them rewards based on what they've bought in the past.
The reward is a 10% discount on all dresses that is good until a certain date. This is meant to get buyers who are on the fence to take action.
It's important to note that the value of the rewards depends on how many points you get. The bigger the rewards and the more likely you are to buy again, the more points you get.
There are always other ways to do things besides giving discounts. If you want to reward customers who stick with you, offer free shipping.
Boost Around End of Season Sale
Because there are more End of Season Sale online, many people shop for gifts online during certain holidays.
So, instead of letting the extra traffic go to waste, why not direct your visitors to the right offers?
During Black Friday, the campaign was shown on every page of the site except the page with the deals.
So, if you click on the ad, you'll go straight to a landing page with all the Black Friday deals.
The page only had Black Friday deals, which made it easier for people to look through the discounted items and decide which ones to buy.
Not all businesses have to offer sales during holidays to make more money (far from it). Even if you don't have a blog, you can use content upgrades to get people to buy. For example, you can give ideas for fun Valentine's Day dates, give away free Thanksgiving recipes, and show people how to make their own Christmas decorations, among other things.
If your free guides include suggestions for products, people will be more likely to buy from you during the holidays.
Save Money On New Products By Buying Them Early.
When a new product comes out, you want as many people as possible to buy it, right?
For this reason, many online stores offer a discount if you order a product before it comes out.
They made the email seem more exciting by saying that the discount was only for the first 30 orders.
By doing this, they make the offer seem like it's only for a small number of people, which brings more people to the new product.
It's important to say here that you need to be careful when giving discounts on new products.
If you discount a product before it comes out, it can make a prospect think it's less valuable.
So, don't give big discounts on new products and make sure the discount is only a small percentage of the full price.
For instance, Red Rooster Coffee Roaster's coffee costs £25.99, which is about a 20% discount.
When you put a discount on your products, you should think about whether you want to use a percentage or a dollar amount.
As a general rule, you should choose the choice that seems to offer the most value.
So, in the above example, I would choose the 20% discount because it seems bigger than the $5 discount, even though the savings are the same no matter what you choose.
Again, it's a balance, and you might want to try out different kinds of discounts to see which ones work best for your audience and the product you're discounting.
Alternative: In many cases, people will pre-order items without a discount if they know they won't be around for long. The "few-items-left" strategy, in which you list how many items are still available for pre-order, is a good one.
Jack says in his book, Theory of Psychological Reaction, that we lose our freedom of choice when we have fewer options. And when our choices are limited or threatened, we want the item even more because we want to keep our freedom. It's a matter of common sense.
Reduce The Number Of Carts That Are Left Behind.
You probably already do this, but I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't point it out.
Sixty percent of online shoppers abandon their carts because of unexpected extra costs. You can get some of that lost revenue back by giving a discount to shoppers who abandon their carts.
It's important to say that discounts in your cart shouldn't be used too often. If you always give a discount to people who are about to leave your cart, they will expect it and leave just to get the discount and not pay full price.
Instead of discounts in the shopping cart, you could offer free shipping on orders with an average order value of more than a certain amount.
Hubby says that 24% of shoppers are willing to spend more to get free shipping, so this is a great way to get people to spend more on average.
Reward Customers Who Send You New Ones.
If you own a business, you probably know how important referral marketing is.
The problem is that few marketing plans include a referral system that can be used over and over again.
And the numbers couldn't show anything more.
Referral says that 83% of happy customers are willing to tell others about products and services. But only 29% of them do.
Goddiva encourages both the person who referred the person and the person who was referred to buy something by giving discounts to both. Win. Win.
Again, there are other things you can do besides offering a discount in exchange for referrals. When a customer tells their friends about your business, you can offer to send them a free sample or gift.

girl help the content about palestine on tiktok is turning from actual journalism content and educational resources and organized ways to help to "boycott everything or you're a bad person and if you don't use a game filter that generates 0.00001 cent you're personally the problem"
#of course theres still a lot of good stuff on there regarding activism but. *please*#the all-or-nothing disorganized activism comes from a good place but can also end up being discouraging/confusing for other people#theres a difference between 'follow this concise list of companies with proof of supporting israel as best you can'#and 'boycott everything on black friday/cyber monday because its the same time as the ceasefire ignore the sales and#don't buy anything from these big companies just make this a thrifty/homemade holiday season'#even though bds has amazon listed as a NON BOYCOTT company#and some people 1.) dont have a good selection of thrift/secondhand stores as alternatives#and 2.) cannot on short notice switch to making gifts for everyone#(like me! i switched away from homemade gifts *because its too much to do in the holiday season*)#(and switching up what im doing to all thrift/homemade would *cause me to burn myself out*)#mine#tiktok#free palestine#boycott

I got this at a mall today, it was still shrink wrapped when I bought it so as far as I could tell it was mint. But I opened it and I think there's a disc missing, i think maybe it's Disc 2 of season 2, part 1 (that's a mouthful, but that is how they chose to label these...). I looked online and I'm supposed to have 10 DVDs in here but I've counted over and over and there's only nine. Here's pictures of the DVDs in the set:
I think the spread where Danny on a green background is opposite Vlad is supposed to have another dvd in between. Am I understanding this right? I can't play these to verify until later, I just wanted to see what the box art looked like on the inside...
#ghostly posts#mannn I bought this at a mall that sells used media. do they even make these anymore to be able to complete the series???#the mall was literally in a different state I paid SALES TAX to not get the full set abskdndbdh#danny phantom#-> also I understand that lots of box sets use the same base and often end up with an empty back#so like that empty slot is not what makes me think I'm missing one#what made me confused is how there's like#disc 1 season 2 part 1. and then disc 1 season 2 part 2. and then disc 2 season 2 part 2.#I was like 'wouldn't part 1 of season 2 be equally as long as part 2?'#and I have seen multiple sources say that there's ten discs after looking it up.
