This might be the stupidest, legitimate, non-shitpost comic I've ever made, but once I heard the audio for this vine I couldn't resist.

I typically don't like including swears in my work, but this wouldn't have been the same without them so I kept them in lol.

little snapshots of a mod i have been working on for a few days, cenozoicraft, understandably based around adding cenozoic animals to the minecraft world along with neolithic tools. its heavily based around hunting and utilizing animal parts. most of what is here is tamable and rideable with fun little taming mechanics, so dont expect to be able to waltz up to a smilodon. more to come soon

Day 22: Thestral

A small debut of my and @mono-chromia ‘s story we’ve been crafting behind the scenes - taking place in the Wixen Wild West AU (or is it the Wild Wixen West? Gosh I forgot now). It will focus on our favorite cast of characters - drarry centric of course! Hermione’ s loyal steed is none other than Treacle Tart the Thestral. She pulls the traveling book emporium, and overall is a fantastic listener.

i had an unfortunate thought. luz manages to make belos promise he won't kill hunter, and somehow he decides he can't have lied to the only other human in his world, so instead he tosses him through the portal to, he presumes, be promptly executed by Real Humans. instead camila finds this bedraggled wet cat child pulling apart a rotting door in the woods in a a Damn State. (vee is not exactly okay with the guy in her home with her mama, but oh my god is he clearly so not okay right now also)

OH NO. BUT ALSO OH YES

the concept of camila coming across hunter tearing through a random door in the middle of the woods is Killing me. her initially intervening simply like "okay you're clearly having an Episode but this is a small town and somebody is Going to call the police on you" and then "hang on. where did you say you're trying to get back to??"

also. after all of this, camila being like "do you... happen to be.... a basilisk??" and hunter being like "THE HUMAN WORLD HAS BASILISKS???"

AHAHA YOU THOUGHT I WAS DONE WITH THESE? THE REDRAWS HAVE RETURNED!!!

First two things since I KNOW I will get comments about this

"Why is Willow's hair still braided?" Because I headcannon she cut her hair just before Grom. She figured it'd get in the way of her fighting Grom itself. At this point in time, she had not cut her hair yet, seeing as it's not until this moment when she decided to swap with Hunter.

"How did Willow use the light glyph?" IT IS NOT A LIGHT GYPLH. It's a light spell. "But that isn't a plant spell?" Light spells are confirmed to be an incredibly easy for any witch to do. Amity even says "That's nothing. A child could do a light spell." In Covention. I see no reason for Willow to be unable to cast a simple light spell.

I should also mention that this is NOT a Huntlow swap AU. Lumity Grom is still cannon. Everything in the show remains the same. This is simply a future Grom during the WAD timeskip. I'm just redrawing Willow and Hunter in their places because I think it's cool to see what they'd look like in these scenes.

Anyway, hell yeah, I'm finally back to these. This was incredibly fun to make, and some of these poses were challenging to replicate with Hunter and Willow's body types. The lighting was a pain in the ass, too, I ended up going through two different ways of doing it, I had gotten two panels done with the old method before having to redo them with the new better method. By panel 9, I went back and added my personal stylized shading on the hair and faces of Willow and Hunter. I intially left it out in favor of more show accuracy, then realized that I just didn't like how my art looked without it.

I did change a few of the expressions and poses from the screenshots I referenced.

Panel one is obvious, I had to change the hands due to Willow casting a spell circle rather then using a glyphs.

I made Hunter a bit more scared then Amity looked since I headcannon he has a phobia of mud.

In panel 5 I changed the expressions of both. Willow is worried instead of cheerful, and Hunter is sad instead of giving Willow a bitter look. Neither of the original expressions made sense for their character.

Willow in panels 7, 9, and 10 has little lines under her eyes to show that deep down, she is afraid and part of her doesn't want to replace Hunter, but she is doing it to be reilable and help Hunter. She'd rather make someone else happy than do what's best for her own well being.

Also made Hunter blush being starstruck because... well I wanted to haha.

What would happen if the Grom had consumed the boiling islands, losing control due to the fear of Amity, killing our favorite characters due to their fears and those who would survive in this new world...?

There are two possible ways for a hunter to get enchanted weapons/objects. They either have to get them blessed by a priest (powerful enchantment) or bless them themselves (basic enchantment)

If a priest enchants a weapon or object, the holy magic is quite powerful and can last up to a few days. But it takes a lot of resources and time to enchant an object/weapon so a priests blessing isn't as common or easily "handed out"

For a hunter to bless their own weapon/object they have to go through training and learn the incantations. These usually last from 30 minutes to four hours and are about half as powerful as priest blessed objects (strength depends on the hunters personal connection to holy magic). The incantations also take a minute or two to chant, which is risky if chosen to use in the midst of a battle.
