This really makes me think about the in between point of chapters where birdman hasn’t got to the cabin yet. And the whole connected to god and changing form for a purpose thing the vessels have like

Imagine after chapter 1 during witch route princess is changing during death going over the betrayal and wishing to to be able to get back at that bastard who stabbed her in the back. Maybe a I see the light thing with shifting mound begging for a blessing of sorts. Maybe she even turns into the beast for a bit before evolving because while she does believe she and birdman are “animals chasing each other in the dark” she knows she’s “meant for so much more then this”. She changes again with power not just able to talk to the wild in the construct but control her prison just a little.

Her bidding her time waiting for a chance of revenge and when it does it….gets foiled no matter what because of why she changed and she was before she changed and while she may never learn she does have the opportunity to change again.

I really like analyzing princess she’s amazing

I love your interpretation, and I agree with a lot of it, but....

I feel like there are so many spots in Slay the Princess that "Which Witch" can be used. The mentioning of fire over and over could represent the Damsel's Grey.

Heart beating would be used to represent Razor's perfected form.
